Platonic Yandere Dino Squad Headcanons:

Rolf Maxwell:

• Max is the type of platonic yandere who acts like your and the squad's older brother. You need a snack? He has ten, did you need protein, calories, or a little sugar? You forgot your book at home? He has a copy, just don't lose it or drop it in ooze. You got caught out in the rain? Here, borrow his jacket, it'll keep you warm while he uses his umbrella to keep you both dry.

• He plans for a lot of scenarios, so be warned. He has a plan for if someone finds out your identity and it goes horribly; a plan for if you ever wind up homeless or without shelter; he has several plans where he or one of the others or Ms. Moynihan adopts you if you need a family or a better one; he even has a plan, just in case you try to run from them. It hopefully won't come to that, but... well, better safe than sorry.

• He makes sure you have a sport or game or book series to keep you occupied and learning new things. He has the whole team learn to play soccer and volleyball so you all can bond and strengthen your pack bonds, as well as exercise and test out new skills. Any books you like, he's making sure there's a copy waiting in the lighthouse or school library just for you.

• He will not let you skip meals. You are eating dinner with him and Ms. Moynihan, or with Fiona and her family, or Caruso's, or Rodger's. (He loves Buzz like a baby brother, but he knows the two of you would probably consider pizza or cereal or popcorn dinner. And that is not healthy, so ergo, he'll handle the Squad dinners with Ms. Moynihan). He feels his inner T. Rex preen when you praise his cooking skills, or eat something he caught or foraged for you.

• If you have bullies, they're handled and will never bother you again. No one mentions what happened to them, or why no one will speak of them anymore. All you have to know is they won't bother you again, no one will...

• In the end, you're like a little sibling to this 18 year old T. Rex. He loves you and the Squad and Ms. Moynihan, and would fight or die to keep you all safe. He knows that sometimes they do hard things for the greater good, but it's all worth it in the end if the environment and his family are safe...

Rodger Blair:

• Rodger sees himself as an older, smarter sibling to you and Buzz and Caruso. He's made all kinds of inventions, learned from their mistakes, and made them better than before. He's certain he can fix any problems that arise within or outside the team. Got a C- on your math test? He'll help you understand the formulas for it! Someone called you an ugly name or played a prank on you? He'll pay them back tenfold, teach them that you reap what you sew. You need help with cooking? Um... you'll both learn about it together! Soup is easy to make, or eggs, to start with! Time to look up recipes! He always feel great when you hug him afterwards, thanking him for helping you out. But that's what family does for each other!

• He makes all kind of devices for you and the team to track mutant dinos and save the day, but he also makes small trackers so he knows where you all are, and puts safety locks on the computer so nothing dangerous or inappropriate shows up. He makes sure you and the team practice internet safety, and follow the rules with what you can and can't put on the internet.

• Learning about things that interest you are important, and can help you understand the world around you better. If you want to learn more about bird species, he'll study it with you too! You want to learn about fungi? He and Buzz can watch that documentary about it too! You're reading up on the different species of dinosaurs? Count the whole team in! (It's good for all of them to support each other's hobbies and learning, and show they care about each other, whether they say it with words, or with actions)

• If a teacher is giving you a hard time, he smooths it over. You're doing your best, and they shouldn't be angry when you're doing all you can do. He offers to tutor you, and will also ask Ms. Moynihan to talk with them, maybe see if they can work it out...

• When he found out you were studying Roman history, he decided to help you make a mini trebuchet! It was fun helping you find the right materials, and putting it together, aaand then testing it on Caruso and Rump. It's sibling/team bonding, right? And it did pass the class presentation, so it's a win-win!

•At the end of the day, he's glad to help you learn new things and stretch your wings to explore. Of course, don't disappear on them now or make them worry, or he'll have to add another tracker (for just in case you did that)...

Fiona Flagstaff:

• Fiona sees you and Buzz as little siblings, viewing herself as an older, cool sister. If you need help trying new things, she's there to lend a helping hand. If it's swimming that worries you, no biggie. She'll help you learn to swim. If you never learned how to ride a bike? She'll show you the ropes, and let you test it out. You want to learn to bake cookies? She'll get you to join her family to make their Aunt Maura's famous, amazing, best-seller peanut butter cookies!

• She wants to make sure you stay healthy and exercise, but that you have fun, too. Her solution is to try different sports out with you, and help you find the one that's right for you! If it's soccer you like, she'll sign up too, and hopefully you can both be on the same team. If it's basketball that caught your eye, woo! You can both shoot hoops amd learn how to dribble a ball! You want to try swimming? Perfect, she can keep an eye on you, and bond with you as you learn this important skill (and it pleases her inner Spino, having one of her hatchmates in the water with her).

• If you're LGBTQA+, she will wholeheartedly accept you. You don't have to worry about her or her family turning you away. If your family did, or you're in the closet, or are scared, you can always spend the night with them, or she can drive you up to see Ms. Moynihan. She cares about you, and what makes you happy.

• She likes to race you, be it as dinos or on your motorcycles or at school during P.E. She likes the challenge, and thinks it'll keep you two having fun then, while it'll keep you both fast enough to run from Veloci in the future.

• If you win any awards, she is yelling and cheering you on the entire time. She will take pictures, and will want to celebrate with you and the Squad. She'll even ask her family if they can send a few of those peanut butter cookies with her to give to you! She appreciates it when you always cheer for her or encourage her, so she always try to return it in kind to you.

• In the end, she's happy to help you get out of your shell and help you have fun while staying in shape. She'd be happy to help you learn new tricks or to play new sports, and if she can, she'll join with you. Just don't think you can outrun or outswim her. She'll always find you, and she'll always win, eventually...

Erwin Caruso:

• Caruso views you as his best friend/little buddy. He can impart on you his knowledge of self-care and good fashion, while you can help rein in some of his... harsher in hindsight choices and actions. You're also a great listener, and you believe in him. So he really does appreciate it... He just hopes he doesn't lose your friendship, he doesn't know what he or the team would do without you...

• He likes to make sure you take care of yourself. No overworking or stretching yourself thin or having others take advantage of you! No! That would be HORRIBLE! So he'll be your best pal in remembering to put yourself first sometimes, and to keep yourself happy and healthy. Your skin is dry or itchy? Try this moisturizer, he uses it too, but don't tell anyone. You're tired at night but find it hard to sleep? He has just the tea for that, take it after dinner though, okay? You're struggling with your self-image? Oh honey, you're perfect! Honestly, no one could compare! (Except maybe him, but you're still his number one, next to himself and the Squad!).

• He enjoys taking you out for spa days, and is excited to tell you about his own brand of self-care products. If you have a favorite, he is all ears and will always make sure the lighthouse and his house is stocked with it for when you come over. He tries not to squee when you gift him a warm scarf for winter. (His inner Stego adores that he's being taken care of and kept warm by a friend or hatchmate, and will want to share the warmth with you and the others).

• You tend to pull him out of trouble or talk him out of bad decisions. The others are grateful for it, and everyone is glad for your common sense. Even if it means thinking it through or taking more time to find a better solution, Caruso and the others are relieved when your foresight ends up keeping them out of trouble.

• He tries to learn to be more thoughtful of others and to be a bit less gullible, meanwhile you try to learn how to take care of yourself and your needs. Dino naps and human naps are important, after all.

• Caruso enjoys hanging out with you, and even if he hides it or doesn't say it, he is glad to know you. He doesn't know what he'd do without you or the Squad, and would rather not find out or reach that point... so listen to him, listen to Max and Rodger and Fiona, listen to Ms. Moynihan, and don't leave! Don't make him ugly cry! Please...

Neil Buzzmati:

• Buzz sees you as a cool, chill friend. You accept him as he is, you don't ask for anything different, and you are cool with his pets. So he's cool with you, and counts you as a good friend and person.

• If you have a fear of anything, especially if it's bugs or scorpions or snakes, he'll help you overcome it. There is nothing to fear but fear itself. He'll let you observe his snake Winifred, and his pet tarantula, and a scorpion he's taking care of too, and let you see them from a safe distance. He'll slowly help you look at them closer, then closer, until you're ready to try and hold them. He'll be right there to make sure things go smoothly, and pats you on the back when you're done. That's good for you, friend. You overcame your fear!

• He likes to make sure you get to places safely. His appearance usually keeps away the wrong crowd, but he helps you with assertiveness and using your voice. If you say no to someone or to something, then no means no. If anyone tries to push you or tries to cross a line, he's putting them back in their place (and calling Max and Ms. Moynihan to handle them while he calms you down and takes you somewhere safer). He's got your back, the same way you've always had his.

• You help him overcome his fear of the dark. You and the squad have a sleepover, and you keep small lights on, slowly turning them off when everyone's asleep. In the morning, you congratulate Buzz, and have a pancake breakfast with him and the team. (Rump gets some fried bacon as a treat too).

• If your dino form gives you some trouble, he's there to help you conquer that fear or new obstacle, too. If you have a fear of heights but can fly or glide, he'll help you learn how to safely glide and how to safely land. He'll even fly under you in case you fall. If you have horns or feathers or spikes or other new parts to you, he'll reassure you that you'll figure it out, and the Squad and he will be there every step of the way. If you are a smaller dino, he promises they'll be careful with you, and make sure nothing hurts you when you're that small.

• Buzz enjoys having you as such a good friend and he hopes your fears don't scare you away from them. Even if they do, he and the team will always catch you if you fall, and bring you back where you're safe and sound...

Joanne Moynihan:

• Ms. Joanne Moynihan views you as one of her pack members, one of her hatchlings, and that means she will guide you through your new changes and your (now longer) life. She offers advice to you, and will try to teach you about the dinosaur you can now become. She's especially pleased if you're a type of raptor, wanting to bundle you and the others, her hatchlings, her dear nestlings, into a safe, warm nest, where she can keep her wings around you.

• She likes that you're so curious. She feeds it, nurtures it, and tries to make sure it doesn't lead you anywhere dangerous. But maybe she wasn't careful enough with what you were trying to find... or maybe somehow a secret you found spooked you, and made you shy away from her, from them... Either way, she plans to get to the bottom of it. Once she knows what you found, and knows what scared you so, then she can soothe that fear, and hopefully you'll come to your senses and not run from your pack...

• She enjoys seeing you and your hatchmates play. She's careful that no one is too rough, but if an accident does occur, she's there to clean any scrapes or lick any wounds. She knows that the others can feel the pack instinct, the need to stay close, to be warm, to huddle together under her and let her handle any danger or cold or worries. She just wishes you'd felt it more...

• She's aware you care for them, and she encourages it. She knows it can be hard to process emotions and feel safe when you've been rejected before, but she promises they welcome you, that they'd never abandon you. She's enraged anything could make you think that way! She will not tolerate anyone endangering her students, her children, her pack! She knows something you saw or heard or discovered must have made you nervous, or frightened, and maybe it made you fear her... but it will be okay. Once you're back with her and the others, she can help you through it and comfort you, and keep your fears at bay...

• She's upset that you thought you could leave. That is not acceptable or healthy behavior. She understands that you're young and you're uuncertain, but she is your Mothersaurus, and those are your hatchmates, and you need to stay where she can keep you safe. She misses when you'd snuggle into her side, or fall asleep with your head in her lap. Hopefully you can go back to doing that once you've had a good talking to and a bit of medicine...

• Ms. Moynihan does love you, as she does the others, but when it comes to you, she's worried you're trying to leave the nest too soon. You can spread your wings, you can explore, you can play, but you need to be where she can see you, and with the pack. She and the others will find you, and you will not be leaving again...

Victor Veloci:

• Veloci is someone who views you and the others as hatchlings, juvenile dinosaurs who need guidance, a better world, a better mindset, than what humanity has to offer. He adores the idea of seeing you all up close, of getting you to his habitats made especially for your dinosaur species, and looks forward to watching you all grow up healthy and happy.

• While he and Moynihan don't always see eye to eye, he respects her and still sees her as his mother, his caregiver, the one who kept him fed and warm and safe when the dinos still ruled, and when they met their end. He wants to make pack with her again, and he wants all of you to be a part of it. He will stop at nothing to have his perfect dinosaurs be part of his pack, be his to take care, and any human who stands in his way will become his dinner...

• He has ways of trying to find you. He can't let any of you go, not so young, not so vulnerable, not while humans rule and his kind, your kind, are gone... He won't have his workers look for you, no... this requires an actual dinosaur, or several, to do the job...

• You're a clever dino, he's proud to say. In the time of the dinosaurs, you would have given any Raptor or Tyrannosaur or angry Triceratops herd a run for their scales! You clever, clever little hatchling! But, you need to be among pack and inside pack territory, not amongst the world of man and machines and cruelty. You need a nurturing hand, a soothing nest, fellow hatchlings, and caretakers, not man. So you need to come out, or there will be quite the grounding for you, little one...

• He knows you're likely a little stunted on your instincts, the need for pack and familiarity and warmth, so he won't be too harsh. You just need to relearn a few things is all. Perhaps some medicine will help you relax while you're taken care of...

• In the end, Veloci will put you and the others as his top priority, and will do what he thinks is right. He will do what he can to bring back the age of dinosaurs, and even if you try to stop him, well... you really should watch out... he doesn't play fair, and neither do the others... Watch out, little one... they'll find you soon...

A Dinosquad Au I thought u would want to chew on would be a Paleo Pines au!

If you remember the little game I told you about, it was a farming sim where instead of livestock, you befriend dinosaurs!

Now imagine a AU where Reader inherits/buys an old abandoned Dino ranch and moves in with their partner Parasaurolophus, Lucky, so they can open their own Dino Ranch.

And they meet some of the other few humans in the Valley. Some are kids who run around fields, eating wild berries and having fun. Some are older and tell Reader they are glad someone has taken over the old place and bringing back life to it. They warn Reader to tell them if they see any...unsavory characters around.

Life is pretty good for Reader and Lucky, now if they can get these kids to stop coming over at 11 o'clock at night.

Reader and their trusty dino Lucky have a small farm they're now the proud owners and workers of, and they've been making friends with the few humans who show up! It's kinda nice having friends!!!! Except the kids really like the fruit they grow, and the tomatoes, and keep showing up late at night. Reader has to chase them off, except they just ask if they can stay the night instead. Reader is out of luck, because what are they going to do, let them freeze in the cold? Or fall down a hole or well?

They just wish those two velociraptors would stop staring at them and sneaking into their fields... as well as the T.rex, Styracosaurus, Stegosaurus, Pterosaur, and Spinosaurus...

They're gonna be put of business if they keep eating their carrots and apples-!
