i'm not usually one for romantic or singular soulmate concepts, admittedly, but the idea of rayman having multiple soulmate marks, whether they be platonic, familial, or otherwise, is something that DEFINITELY appeals to me.

there's a flowing sigil in red, wings surrounding a green moon, in the center of his stomach, right in the middle of where the white circle on his hoodie would be. when he was young enough for betilla to hold him, she would kiss him there, and he'd giggle and kick, ticklish, and she would smile. the mark of her own soul poured into her creation.

two round blue and white etches, like little frog feet, on his right shoulder blade where globox would pat him whenever he was upset. he'd keep a hand there when they napped close to one another, and when the pirates arrived and the hoodlums spread, the comfort he felt there is what helped keep him going.

a rune of a sharp teal axe and a bright orange helmet on his left shoulder blade, the same place barbara slapped him in greeting when they first met. she liked his 'tattoos' from the moment she saw them, and after learning what they were, immediately set out to get some of her own to match with the rest of the crew.

he treasures all of them, but the only one he doesn't quite understand is this one that appeared much later than the others: a spiked, purple mark, jagged and almost asymmetric compared to the others, that takes up most of the back of his right hand. he has no idea where it came from, why it wasn't present at his creation, and zero idea of who it could represent.

Two of Us Play: Thoughts or 'This Could Mean Nothing: The Play'

I saw Two of Us and I have thoughts. and feelings. Frustrated feelings.

What I liked: the mental health angle, the details, the research, the bones of the story and the acting for the most part (good actors, poor direction basically).

What I didn't like: First off the script needs work. At the minute it plays more as a spot the reference rather than one coherent story. This doesen't feel like convo between friends but a recap of Beatles lore with no train of thought that gets satisfyingly resolved and whilst hitting off the movie beats rather than building to them. The pay off feels less like a cathartic journey and more 'cool it's Mclennon I guess..'. Next the chemistry is off, the two leads don't feel like platonic soulmates/best frenemies and they don't fly off of each other as John and Paul did. Instead the energy is super low, even in their heightened fight scenes it doesn't feel like two people duking it out. There's no screaming and shouting, it's like two old but never that close friends going from awkward to semi awkward and back again repeatedly without ever hitting any moments of sizzling connection. This I think is partially to do with the 'nice Paul' characterization, which please lord can it end! Let our beloved alpha bitch be beloved and alpha bitchy, it's good for his skin AND MORE REAL.

I think the chemistry/energy problem is linked though to the main problem and the elephant in the room: the 'latent' homosexuality. Latent is probably the best word for it, but that's only because of the play's fear of its own implications. To be clear, with a slightly more daring director unafraid of the material, the latent would be BLATANT. The dialogue is BLATANT. John's wordplay is loaded with suggestion: 'best fuck you've ever had', 'you should have married me' and there's a closeness when they are singing on the piano which was 👀👀. The 'I love Paul' badge is also there with a 'lucky Paul' comment that COULD have built to a potentially interesting character moment. But they just fly over these bits like they haven't been said. The candlelight dinner as well that John puts on for Paul is by its nature loaded, as is John offhandedly calling him 'my love' when fiddling with the stereo during that scene.It's so casual that it feels like an accidental slip on John's part. But nothing is made of this, no pause, shift in the air, comments, nothing. This was the worst with the KISS which was initiated by John and yes, way way way too long for it to mean nothing and the Epstein jokes are completely omitted. Its a wild moment, but the play can't seem to handle what they've just laid down so just ... skates past it. Its like HAHA WEIRD RIGHT THEY JUST KISSED ANYWAY ROOF SCENE.

But the implications also aren't consistent as the whole thing is too attached to the 'Paul is a jilted victim' angle. It's Paul who is jealous of Yoko, but save a line about being surprised about Linda, John seems neutral (weird considering its JOHN making the overtures and was IRL not Linda's biggest fan). The ending is the strangest for this. They have the SNL thing like in the movie but it's weirder as Paul is CRYING. OBVIOUSLY CRYING. CAN HEAR AUDIBLY FROM A DISTANCE CRYING. The whiplash of John throwing down these implications and suggestions to just ... nonchalantly giving a hand grip goodbye and ignoring Paul's tears after going on this whole journey together is WEIRD and makes him look like a user and a selfish, insensitive prick. Like bestie your bestie is crying you can call Yoko back??? Also the end is meant to be a love you to both each other and their wives but Paul's is clearly to mostly John and John's feels mostly to Yoko. It's not a good look on John and its not a good look on his relationship with Yoko (yh John could free himself from the prison he's made for himself and was about to but the darn Yoko pull is just too strong guys). Again this would be sort of sad but fine if it was Paul making the overtures or there were no overtures but it isn't and there are! John is both the mooning would be romancer and the unavailable ex. Once again nuance and coherency (as well as Paul and Linda!) are sacrificed for the traditional John and Yoko angle. Wholeheartedly, it feels like there has been a layer of implication added onto the script, a layer which means that the original elements of the script would need to change to work but they haven't done it so you have this Frankenstein's monster of a traditionalist narrative fused with loaded suggestion.

So yeah, I think the whole thing had a lot of potential as a play but the script needs an overhaul, the actors need better chemistry and if you are going to go there, for gods sake GO THERE.

۶ৎ Edd thinks this style of clothing really fits you, you look very delicate and pretty with it, so expect him to compliment every time you put together a new outfit.

Soulmate AU with a twist.

Everyone has a soulmate, be they platonic, romantic, familial, or otherwise. Most people, in fact, have multiple.

People find their soulmates through intricate designs on their arms. A certain section of the design will perfectly (in the mind of the person the mark is on, at least) encapsulate who and what what the person that it represents is.

But, when an individual has sold their soul, the marks turns the same color as their skin/fur, so they can no longer be seen. As a result, most who sold their soul wear long sleeves to avoid the embarrassment of being called out for it.

During a mishap with the last of the Egg Boiz trying to recreate one of Sir Pentious's machines, a piece of angelic steel shrapnel gets stuck in Alastor's arm.

Despite his insistence that he doesn't need the help, Charlie drags him to a secluded room (privacy is important!) and ends up holding him down so Lucifer can take a look at the wound. Which requires removing Alastor's shirt.

Which reveals the wound that Alastor received when fighting Adam and the fact that his soulmarks are invisible.

To say that Charlie and Lucifer panic would be an understatement.

Ooohh!! 👀✨ I love this question, very juicy hahaha 🤣💕 This would depend on which point of the story they are, but the trio will eventually love someone to some romantic extent (at least).

For Kurumi, that's a big YES, as she's quite the hopeless romantic! She loves shoujosei series(or just the romance genre in general) and dreams a lot of being in a relationship like the lead couples there. Add to that her cuteness aggression, it's quite inevitable that she gets crushes of varying degrees on quite a good amount of characters 😆🫶✨ (examples are Tsuna, Kyoko, Haru, Chrome & Enma - if you feel like there's a pattern then yes sjdfbhjsdv). Of course, a simple crush is different from really falling deep in love with someone, but it's a good start. Her only problem is that she can't commit and go through with it (like confessing, etc). I don't know if you know already, but if you see my previous ship arts with her, maybe you already know who she does fall in love with lol

For Yui, that's a HELL YEAH! Among the trio, he's the only one with dating experience but he really can't say he loved the people he dated romantically. It's more of trial and error run for him. Fortunately for him, he does eventually find someone he likes a lot! I don't think I mentioned this before unlike for the other twins, so I'll put it here lol The person he ends up falling for is Hiyori (Oniyanagi 10th Gen Sun Guardian).

Kurumi: "Who would your OC say is their best friend?"

Kurumi's bestest friends in the whole world are definitely Kana and Yui! 🥰💖✨ They've been through a lot and are very much ride-or-die. Yui is Kurumi's very first friend. They initially became friends out of obligation and loneliness, but after some rough events here and there, it became a genuine friendship. He's stuck with her/supported her during difficult times in their childhood and Kurumi will always appreciate him for that.

Then there's Kana to Kurumi. Where do I even begin? That's a whole rabbit hole right there. They're platonic soulmates, a set package. Do not separate OR ELSE. 👁️👄👁️

Kana: "Which canon character respects your OC most? What gained that respect?"

Oh, from the top of my head, that would be Hibari. I'll just make separate post if I can think of another canon character who can dethrone him in this lmao His respect for her is based on the respect that he would have for strong and worthy opponents. Kind of similar to Reborn? But more chase-able/bully-able (since she's a fellow student, their paths would cross more often).

It all started when Kana attacked and tried to kill him this one time to take over the school (they went ham at that time, Reborn just stopped them). This is what happens when you think murder is always the answer to your problems. You get some guy, with a passion of at least 180 hardcore soulslike game players, who wants to keep on retrying that boss fight @ you.

Yui: "Did your OC bear witness to anyone’s full character arc?"

Yui doesn't really like being in the spotlight. He's not even that fond of having the right-hand man role designated to him and the "formal" responsibilities that come with it (this is why Gokudera criticizes him often). But one of the main reasons he still stuck to this role is so that he can get to watch over the twins in his own way.

He did bear witness to a good amount of Kana's character arc, but since we're talking from start to finish of someone's character arc, then that would be for Kurumi's. No matter what happens, whether this bestfriend of his grows into a fine person or falls into ruins, he will be there to witness it all 🙂

Okay to ask this question I need to give my opinion so here goes

Kiri and spider’s relationship is not platonic that just how I feel I know there are many people who would argue but the chemistry is there and you can see it maybe I’m wrong but thats just what I think I see signals and clicks and other things that show they truly care about each other more then in a sibling way

That’s just how I see it now to my question in YOUR God honest opinion what do you think their relationship is platonic or something else

I respectfully disagree. I know I used to like the idea of them, but after realizing a couple things, I decided I love them more as platonic soulmates. Let's get into it!

After reading the comics, for example, I get the impression that Kiri really does see Spider as her family, specifically her brother:

And it makes sense. They're orphans of war and feel like outsiders among the people they hang out with. They understand each other more than anyone, but I don't see it as romantic.

And I'll admit, I have trouble shipping them with the knowledge that Kiri is played by a 74 year old actress (Sigourney Weaver for the win) while Spider's actor is clearly not (Jack Champion also for the win). I wouldn't think James Cameron would take the romance route knowing this as well, but I don't know.

If they take the Spider Sully route in future movies, I'll probably ship it even less so since they'll be adopted siblings.

This is just my opinion, but I respect yours, and I love the fact that you see them that way. Ain't nothing wrong with love 😊 Pandora clearly has enough to go around.

Conclusion: No, I don't ship them romantically together. But that's okay. Rotxo will hold both of their hands for me 👀 (I don't ship it, but I like the idea of the three of them being so sweet to each other)

Ships that I like involving Spider:

Lo'ak x Spider (much like Kiri x Spider, they still feel like outsiders to everyone but each other, and Lo'ak clearly would do anything to save Spider)

Ao'nung x Spider (I like the angst that this would ensue, big bully 'Nung realizing he likes the little demon that hangs around the Sullys)

Rotxo x Spider (my sweet boys, end of story)

Neteyam x Spider (again, more angst because they were likely close when they were younger, but Neteyam probably pulled away due to Neytiri's influence and his responsibilities as future olo'eyktan)
