a debate as old as time itself honestly this is probably an unpopular opinion but if you’re going to be strictly anime-only I would say start with Zero Zero’s novel came out after Stay Night’s novel but the UBW anime felt to me like it was intended by the studio to be watched after watching Zero’s anime. Like I feel like UBW didn’t properly explain some stuff because it assumed viewers would already know from Zero. so for anime-only start with Zero
