Just got back from Welsh friend whose dog is at his time. He’s finding it hard, of course he is, but I can’t stop thinking how he gave that dog 13 happy years when with almost any other human wouldn’t have. Ozzy was an Irish rescue who was abandoned when his owners moved. That dog would panic and manically dig through anything to not be alone and with a human again - ripped holes in doors, dug through plasterwall, crumpled cages, and twisted the rungs off a baby gate. And just structured his life around that fact. Our friend had just lost an 8-month old pup with congenital liver failure. But he took that dog on when it happened to be transferred to England. …And it turned out that dog had no hips. Not hyperbole. They x-rayed him and there was basically no joint there at all to the point it wouldn’t have been feasible to try and even attach false ones. The vet who read the x-ray literally cried because our friend had just lost dear Ben before his time too. And they had to say there was nothing they could do, just painkillers, and maybe try to build up the muscles to hold his hips in place that way. So that man walked that dog. Built it up until they were walking hundreds of miles a week. Our friend wasn’t fit to begin with in anyway, is extremely overweight, but he learned to walk a minimum of four hours a day with that dog. Gave it physio. Took it to hydrotherapy he could barely afford. A highly trained holistic vet…And in two years that dog stopped dislocating, limping, or needing painkillers at all. He learned to run and jump. And talking to our friend today? He didn’t understand when I said he had saved that dog’s life. Because no-one else would have done that. Ozzy would have been put down 13 years ago. Him making his way to Steve was the only thing that kept him from a death sentence and gave him the only shot at happy life. And boy did he have a happy life.

The Importance of High-Quality Building Materials: Keycoats, Wall Plaster, Floor Screeds, and Gypsum Plaster
Building a house or any type of construction project is a significant investment, and it's important to use high-quality building materials that will last for years to come. Among the essential materials used in construction projects are Keycoats, Wall Plaster, Floor Screeds, and Gypsum Plaster. These materials play a vital role in ensuring the durability and longevity of buildings, and their quality cannot be compromised.
Tumblr media
What Are Keycoats?
Keycoats are a type of bonding agent that are used to ensure adhesion between different surfaces. They are commonly used in construction projects to bond concrete, plaster, or other materials to a substrate. Keycoats help to create a strong and durable bond between different materials, ensuring that the construction project remains stable and secure.
Keycoats are available in different forms, such as liquids or powders. The type of Keycoat used will depend on the nature of the project and the materials being bonded. Keycoats are applied to surfaces before other materials are added, creating a secure and long-lasting bond.
The Importance of Wall Plaster
Wall Plaster is a material that is commonly used to finish walls. It is applied to walls after the brick or blockwork has been completed, and it provides a smooth and even surface for painting or wallpapering. Wall plaster is also used to cover up any imperfections in the walls, creating a flawless finish.
Wall Plaster is available in different forms, such as gypsum or cement-based plasters. The type of plaster used will depend on the nature of the project and the finish required. High-quality wall plaster is essential to ensure the longevity and durability of the walls. Poor-quality plaster can lead to cracking, peeling, or flaking, which can compromise the integrity of the building.
Floor Screeds: A Key Component of Quality Flooring
Floor Screeds are an essential component of quality flooring. They are applied to a subfloor to create a level and even surface, ensuring that the flooring material can be installed correctly. Floor Screeds can be made from a variety of materials, such as cement, sand, or a combination of both.
Floor Screeds are applied to the subfloor and left to dry and cure before the final flooring material is installed. High-quality floor screeds are essential to ensure that the final flooring material is installed correctly and lasts for many years. Poor-quality floor screeds can lead to uneven flooring, which can cause safety hazards and can also compromise the integrity of the flooring.
The Importance of Gypsum Plaster
Gypsum Plaster is a type of wall plaster that is made from gypsum, a soft sulfate mineral. Gypsum plaster is commonly used in construction projects because of its versatility and durability. It can be used to create a smooth and even finish on walls, and it can also be used to create decorative finishes.
Gypsum Plaster is easy to work with, and it can be applied to a variety of surfaces, such as brick, blockwork, or concrete. It is also fire-resistant, which makes it a popular choice for buildings that require fire protection.
The quality of gypsum plaster is crucial to ensure that the finish is durable and long-lasting. Poor-quality gypsum plaster can lead to cracking, peeling, or flaking, which can compromise the integrity of the building.
Choosing High-Quality Building Materials
Choosing high-quality building materials is essential to ensure that construction projects are safe, durable, and long-lasting. The use of high-quality Keycoats, Wall Plaster, Floor Screeds, and Gypsum Plaster can ensure that construction projects are completed to a high standard.
When selecting building materials, it's essential to choose products that meet industry standards and regulations. Additionally, it's crucial to work with reputable suppliers who provide high-quality materials and can offer guidance on the best products for specific projects.
Using high-quality building materials can also have long-term financial benefits. While they may have a higher upfront cost, they can save money in the long run by reducing the need for repairs or replacement. High-quality building materials can also improve the energy efficiency of a building, leading to lower utility bills and a reduced carbon footprint.
In conclusion, Keycoats, Wall Plaster, Floor Screeds, and Gypsum Plaster are all essential building materials that play a vital role in the durability and longevity of construction projects. Choosing high-quality materials and working with reputable suppliers is crucial to ensuring that buildings are safe, durable, and long-lasting. Investing in high-quality building materials can also have long-term financial and environmental benefits.
As the saying goes, "you get what you pay for." When it comes to building materials, it's essential to invest in quality products that will stand the test of time. So, next time you're planning a construction project, remember the importance of Keycoats, Wall Plaster, Floor Screeds, and Gypsum Plaster and choose wisely.

I braved going into the attic...yes I don't like going up there, it's creepy! The original plaster walls looks like it has veins going throughout. And I always think there is something up there like bats! There isn't any bats up there but it still creeps me out. Today, I faced my fear & the next time it will be alittle better! Maybe! 😬 #HistoricHouse #circa1885 #Attic #originalatticstairs #plasterwalls #oldhouse #oldhousedetails https://www.instagram.com/p/CI53h4knpl-/?igshid=15ndsuusxmhc2
