Here's some more old art lol! This was for a biology project earlier this year. It was about organelles. Some of it may not be 100% accurate but I got a 100! so that's all that counts :'>
IT WAS MY EXCUSE TO DRAW CUTE GIRLS IN CAMOUFLAGE AND MAKE DOOMED YURIs 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
THIS WAS WHEN I FINISHED WATCHING LAND OF THE LUSTROUS.

Fun fact: if you look at a closed collateral vascular bundle it looks like a happy little fella and I think that’s great
In this picture: close up of a closed collateral vascular bundle in the stem of Zea mays (cornplant).
Picture taken by myself during a lab last semester, image enlarged by a lightmicroscope (10X10X)

In the Northern Hemisphere, gardeners may be battling the ravages of winter frost and struggling to keep tender plants alive. Why are some plants able to live outdoors year-round in climates with cold winters while others perish once temperatures fall below freezing? The key is in the plant cells! Watch and find out why plant cells' structure and chemical composition determine whether plants are cold hardy or tender.
Check out my Tik Tok channel katia_plantscientist for more fascinating plant science content!

Did you know Plants are Actually Single Celled Organisms? Plasmodesmata
Plant cells are connected at the hip with membrane tubes called plasmodesmata. So most plants are *technically* one cell since they have a single continuous membrane.
You may be thinking back to high school biology and wondering how that’s possible! You studied the plant cell!

Cytoskeletal- By Ms. Dani G Art- 2022
Another one of my earlier pieces. It honestly started out as a bit of a mess, because this paper DRANK up water like it just got dragged out of the desert, but I made it work!
Beautiful artwork if I do say so myself!

Plants produce a smell when damaged. Other plants can detect these signals to put on their own defenses.
Plants can produce chemicals that harm herbivores or attract predators.
Caterpillars were placed on leaves cut from tomato plants Arabidopsis thaliana. The plants were genetically altered so their cells contained a biosensor that fluoresced green when an influx of calcium ions was detected. Calcium is used for communication in plant and animal cells.
Plants perceive volatile organic compounds (VOCs) released by mechanically- or herbivore-damaged neighboring plants and induce various defense responses. Such interplant communication protects plants from environmental threats.
Plant-plant communication occurs when undamaged receivers induce resistance in response to a cue from a damaged neighbor, the emitter.
There are two hypothesis one it allows the plants neighbors to be prepared for a herbivore attack. Or have all the plants produce chemicals to hurt the predators.

I know this isn’t what I normally post, but I am very proud of this.
A project for biology required me to hand draw a cell for marks, so I suffered. It turned out alright, but I did mess up the first time. Pro-tip: do NOT use markers if you want fine line art to show up; I had to redo the whole thing because I had made that mistake.
CLICK FOR BETTER QUALITY
My phones camera quality decides to quit whenever I try to take a picture of the whole page. I ended up just splitting it into parts so the quality isn’t compleate garbage.

Not rwrb but I absolutely love this
Eukaryotic cell gang!! We love women in STEM.
The organelles of the cells have been translated into human anatomy, so the nucleus is the brain, the vacuole function as the lungs, and the mitochondria is the heart since it’s the… you already know, I don’t have to say it ;)
