Some Foggy time as she wished to play tug of war

Then the maid fangirled over her

She had a wish to cook key lime pie and it's Matt's favourite!

These are only a few back-at-the-ranch shots from before the girls left for university.
Carlos went back to the coffeeshop and, this time, had a successful audition! His gig there won't happen until Tierney and Taslin get back, and meanwhile his promotion in the Singer track removed his Carlos Midnight suit. 😢
This is about the third? fourth? time the game has gotten rid of it (I like to think it's protesting my terrible taste), so I'm through fighting it. We'll always have the dark-purple memories.
In other Carlos news, I think I may want to swap out his weightlifting bench for a treadmill because.
I know some folks appreciate that super-buff look, but I'm not really enjoying it, personally. I liked toned-but-slightly-weedy Carlos better than mega-beefy Carlos.
They gathered for a nice family breakfast the morning the twins left. I like how Carlos and Undine are talking about their respective passions to their daughters who do not share them at all. Taslin's aptitude test steered her towards Communications, while Tierney was, as predicted, a perfect fit for Science & Medicine.
Also no more babies, Undine. Actually, from her facial expression here, I think that might be just what she's telling Carlos.
"But Undine, don't you miss hearing the melodic cries of tiny--"
"NO."
Breakfast also revealed that the hidden Velma trait has successfully been passed down to the current generation.
The day before they left for University, Tierney was asked out on a date by this guy, Emmit Preston. It seemed to be going well, in a friendly, casual sort of way,
but you can always trust townies to ruin it, and ruin it he did.
Tierney's love of the earth does not extend to eating bugs.
I had her accept that date because her high school crush hasn't reached out to her at all. Taslin fared better--Ahmed remembered her and was happy to take her out to lunch at the bistro. Afterwards, Taslin... behaved in a manner most unbecoming to an alumnus of Smuggsworth Prep.
I mean.
Undine has avoided sculpting in favor of painting, but I have to wonder what issues she's working through with this one.
She's been married forever? She and Carlos are Eternally Faithful? WTF? Is she processing latent abandonment issues related to her father?--because then it's kind of disturbing?!

"Earth always dreamed big, but you prefer to dream small. You don’t need to see the world or to leave some sort of lasting impact in order to be happy. All you need is a quiet place for yourself and your animal friends to keep you company. Though, with all those animals you suppose you’ll need to make some sort of living in order to stay afloat and afford to keep them in the lap of luxury."
-Honestly she was a very easy kid, she loved being outside and she loved her mom's obsession with frogs. She wasn't a particularly artsy kid, but has always loved singing since she was a toddler. The little jam sessions she had with her mother Alice was always adorable. She was a good big sister too, she didn't always get Watney, but the two were very close.
-When Olympia was a teenager she wound up developing a crush on a boy at her school, his name was Isaac and honestly he was incredibly gay and uninterested in her romantically. But the two became Best Friends nonetheless. For years and years Oly viewed him as the platonic love of her life. The two did everything together. His prom date bailed on him? Well the two would just skip prom together and go swimming at the lake. Oly accidentally got knocked up with twins? He's moving in to help her out. They have the sweetest friendship. The girls honestly view him as their dad more than their actual one.
-Looping back to that night they ditched Prom though, both have grown up in the sticks and don't necessarily have the best sense of what is and isn't dangerous. The two often got caught doing stupid shit together just cuz they thought it might be fun. Prom night was one of those times where they were out somewhere they shouldn't have been. It was a beautiful full moon, and unfortunately for them they weren't the only one's wandering the woods.
-Only Olympia wound up receiving a cursed bite though and for that she's always been thankful, the very first werewolf trait she got was the sad one lol. She isn't particularly fond of her new way of existing causing many emotional breakdowns and eventually moving to the very edge of town so that she wouldn't be a "danger" to any of those who cared for her.
-technically the challenge has Mars gen as a tech guru, but I imagine Oly just does that to get by. Her true passion in life has always been and will always be animals. It's not a career option in the Sims but just know in my heart her real career is "dog trainer"
-Recently this goofy little horse man moved to town, and its a small town where everyone knows everything. So it wasn't long before Chirimoya was introducing Shayne to her daughter. Olympia was immediately smitten with his horse Sugarbush, and he was immediately fond of how her whole demeanor seemed to soften as she made silly jokes to his horse. He's honestly super soft on her in general, the two only just started dating and this is Olympia first REAL relationship, and I love how gentle he seems with her. Also how contradictory their aesthetics are. He's got the nerdy but nice step-dad vibe down perfectly. Stormi likes him and Gaelle is indifferent. So long as he's nice to their mom they don't really mind this new addition to their lives.

I put on the first couple of episodes of MONARCH: LEGACY OF MONSTERS, Chris Black and Matt Fraction's cumbersomely titled Godzilla spinoff show (which I guess is a follow-on to the 2014 American GODZILLA movie, which I haven't seen). I thought it would be fun, but so far it mostly feels pretty hackish: It appears heavily inspired by the Warren Ellis/John Cassady Wildstorm comic PLANETARY, but everything about the narrative structure is unnecessarily convoluted and cryptic, presumably in an effort to seem interesting; none of the present-day characters' motivations make any sense; the flashback sequences are tiresome; and three episodes in, the main story has yet to develop any actual direction or urgency, so it's mostly just flailing about. Also, for a Toho-licensed spinoff of a quintessential Japanese monster franchise, it's awfully dismissive of and condescending towards its Japanese characters, especially the ones who aren't Japanese-American.
I dunno — I've liked the (brief) parts where Godzilla shows up, but the gaijin-to-Gojira ratio is disproportionately high, and the script and acting are only slightly above the SHARKNADO level.
#teevee#hateration holleration#matt fraction#chris black#monarch legacy of monsters#godzilla#planetary#toho monsters#wildstorm#i'd heard there were going to be lesbians#but i'm still waiting#not having watched the 2014 american film is of course on me#but i think it's reasonable to expect this kind of spinoff#to at least give you a brief recap#to let know know what the hell you're looking at

The real Jesus bar Joseph birthday
Astronomer Michael Molnar wrote ‘The Star of Bethlehem – The Legacy of the Magi’ (Rutgers University Press, 1999) in which he deduced Jesus bar Joseph was born on April 17, 6 BC (17.4.748 AUC / 29 Nisan 3755 HC) based on the photograph of a coin. From his website: “Superposed on the photograph of the coin is what I found: Jupiter underwent two occultations (‘eclipses’) by the Moon in Aries in 6…

THE TENTH HOUSE: ANSWERING THE CALL TO WEALTH
the 10th house (10H) is arguably one of the most important houses in astrology, closely tied to your midheaven (MC), which represents your public image, reputation, and the way you are recognized in the world. it symbolizes your legacy, the energy others associate with you, and the role you naturally embody in society. however, understanding your career path goes beyond than just identifying the sign in your 10th house. to gain a deeper insight, you should also analyze its planetary ruler and the house it occupies, as these factors will give you a better idea about the careers that align with your natural strengths.
below is a guide shared by astrokit, along with some additional insights i’ve added, highlighting careers based on planetary placements in the 10th house, as well as the house placements of its planetary ruler, to help you align with your destined career path!
➶ ➴ if you follow vedic astrology, I recommend analyzing the 10H in the navamsha (D9) and dashamsha (D10) charts alongside the 10H in the rashi (D1) chart. combining insights from all three, along with the nakshatra ruler of the 10H will give a more well-rounded understanding of the career best suited for you.

Degree Theory Series: The Leo Degrees (5°, 17°, 29°): Unveiling the Complexities of Power, Prestige, and Presence
☆ Leo degrees represent a striking influence—one that combines ambition, charisma, romance, and a near-magical allure. The house that Leo is in your chart is reflective of the area of life that you have the potential to receive a lot of attention. It is literally the sign of reaching for the stars. But beneath the well-known themes of fame, leadership, and power, these degrees have deeper, sometimes hidden qualities that shape the lives they touch. Here’s an exploration into these powerful degrees, plus the distinctive flavors they create when combined with different planetary energies.
5° Leo: The Catalyst for Expression and Presence
Keywords: Bold action, self-expression, initiator, elite status, teaching and guidance.
☆° ✩࿐
Personality and Physicality: Known as a degree that heightens presence, 5° Leo lends a dignified, commanding air that can be quite magnetic. David Hasselhoff’s for example has a Venus at 5 degrees of Leo. Back in the day, David was known for his magnetic charm and stage presence. He had set the Guinness world record of the most watched man on Tv. This degree supports his appeal as the central figure of Baywatch, Knight Rider and other things, and it shows his ability to thrive under the spotlight. He had set the Guinness world record of the most watched man on Tv.
5° Leo isn’t just the “leader” degree; it often marks those who naturally attract authority and influence without having to seek it.
Hidden Quality of Resourcefulness: A lesser-known quality of 5° Leo is its connection to resourcefulness in high-stakes situations. Those with this degree on key planets often discover remarkable ingenuity under pressure, especially in challenging or isolating circumstances. To thrive in the spotlight, you have to be very resilient.
17° Leo: The Degree of Visionary Influence and Endurance
Keywords: Legacy, public service, intellectual pursuits, mentorship, teaching roles, family connections.
Social Reach and Legacy: 17° Leo reflects someone whose influence extends over time, resonating through a legacy, particularly through teaching, law, or service roles. the 17th degree is the 2nd highest degree amongst the leo degrees (5, and 29 are the other leo degrees) meaning that it has a “longevity behind it. There’s often a connection to mentorship or guiding others, and those with 17° Leo placements may be naturally drawn to academia, justice, or philosophical pursuits. They often think in terms of generations and long-term impacts.
Oprah has her MC in 17 degree of Libra.
Elvis Presley is a prominent example of a celebrity with a 17° placement, specifically with his Sun at 17° Capricorn, which is influenced by the “Leo degree” due to degree theory. This degree is associated with lasting fame, a magnetic stage presence, and the ability to create legacy and extend over time. Elvis Presleys music has the ability to transcend time—this aligns with Elvis’s legendary status as the “King of Rock and Roll.” The 17° Leo degree amplifies qualities like charisma, recognition, and impact in the public eye, traits strongly reflected in Elvis’s career and enduring influence in music and culture.
Another example is George Michael, whose Ascendant is at 17° Cancer, lending him a path aligned with Leo qualities—drawing attention, captivating fans, and excelling as a charismatic performer in the entertainment industry. Both figures illustrate how the 17° Leo degree enhances the potential for significant, long-lasting public impact and memorable artistry.
These cases highlight how the 17° degree is seen as one of prestige and enduring influence in charts of famous figures, marking individuals with an aura of distinction and an ability to maintain a lasting legacy in their field.
The Role of Family and Support: This degree frequently connects individuals with family lineage, both in values and sometimes through inheritance or positions of responsibility within family networks. The “father” degree, it suggests an ability to support or uplift family lines or nations—carrying a certain gravitas that inspires collective respect. Just as 17° Leo was prominent in Bill Clinton’s chart, it speaks to enduring influence, as well as the idea of a “national father figure.” Again with Presley he was considered the Father or King of Rock and Roll.
Lesser-Known Influence in Social Structure: Lesser known is 17° Leo’s gift for navigating social structures, from rallying support to surviving intrigue. Individuals with this degree may exhibit a resilient streak, successfully facing threats or challenges within power structures=Much like Elvis who did receive multiple death threats and kidnap warnings, particularly while performing in Las Vegas.
29° Leo: The Degree of Transformative Leadership and Strategic Vision
Keywords: Finality, transformation, intuition, covert planning, prestige, challenging circumstances.
Mystery and Power Dynamics: Known as an “anaretic” degree, 29° Leo carries themes of completion, change, and high-stakes decisions. People with this degree tend to face intense personal or public challenges that demand creative problem-solving and often put them in complex or strategic roles. A bit of a “chameleon” degree, it suggests someone who can operate under the radar and emerge victorious, often as a reformer or innovator within traditional structures. Leaders like Winston Churchill, who had his Moon at 29° Leo, epitomize the strength of this degree. Similarly, Donald Trump's 29° Leo Ascendant underscores a charismatic presence and his controversial but impactful role in the public sphere, navigating complex political power structures. They guy became the president of the United States at one point and is up for office again.
Transformation and Symbolic Rebirth: 29° Leo may indicate the ability to work behind the scenes or in covert ways, potentially in intelligence, diplomacy, or advocacy roles where resilience is paramount. Often, individuals here face life events that force them to “become someone new,” such as a leader rising unexpectedly or a figure dealing with transformative personal setbacks. Just as Churchill rose during Britain’s darkest hour, those with 29° Leo can emerge from crises as symbols of strength and change. his degree also enhances adaptability, suggesting a capacity to emerge stronger after setbacks or public scrutiny. This is also seen in Drake (BBL Drizzy) and Heidi Klum, both with Ascendants at 29°, which contributes to their enduring relevance and adaptability in the ever-changing entertainment landscape.
Lesser-Known Themes of Hidden Loyalty: There’s also a lesser-known aspect of loyalty and readiness to defend others, even to the point of self-sacrifice. This degree attracts followers or allies who support them in unlikely ways, often during critical transitions or public shifts.
Planetary Combinations:
Mercury at 29° Leo: Mercury here indicates someone who speaks with finality and influence, often giving speeches or communications with a lasting impact. They may find themselves in pivotal discussions, historical moments, or transformative media.
Pluto at 29° Leo: This pairing suggests a powerful leader who can influence others profoundly, sometimes by overturning existing power structures. Pluto at 29° Leo is highly transformative, especially in public roles, and may attract both fame and intrigue, giving the individual an almost mythic quality.
Uranus at 29° Leo: With Uranus, there’s a push for radical change and an ability to innovate under pressure. Individuals with this placement can disrupt the status quo effectively and are unafraid to act independently, even if it means losing support temporarily. Their vision is ahead of its time, and they may be involved in pioneering work or historic moments of change.
Hidden Qualities Across the Leo Degrees
Each of these degrees in Leo also carries unique subtleties, especially when it comes to handling public pressure, love for prestige, and overcoming personal trials. Whether seen in how they survive adversities (often with an unexpected inner resilience) or in their commitment to their people or causes, Leo degrees add depth and charisma that’s impossible to ignore.
If you hold one of these degrees in a major placement, consider it a call to embody love, loyalty, and leadership in your unique style. The Leo degree asks for authenticity and confidence, even when the stakes are high.
Observation:
Sun at 5° Leo: A classic position for leaders who are highly visible and admired. The Sun here drives an ambition that others respect, even if they don’t fully understand the drive behind it. There’s a fierce desire to succeed on one’s terms, often in high-profile careers or pursuits.
Moon at 5° Leo: Emotional expression is vital here, with a need to connect in visible, memorable ways. A Moon at 5° Leo can feel happiest when making an impact in social or familial spheres, perhaps guiding or inspiring others. There’s a special talent for evoking loyalty and support from people, often based on an instinctive understanding of group dynamics.
Mars at 5° Leo: Mars here is a warrior spirit that fights with purpose. It’s often associated with a physical stature or confidence that commands space, possibly leading to military or athletic pursuits. There’s a heightened ability to rally others, leading to leadership roles that arise naturally in tense situations.

Played these a while ago and havent been very into playing them again. I think I'm bored of the whole family play and nraas SP. Gonna try playing with the coremod for a while as I've read it fixes EA's SP which tbh I loved already back in the day. Both mods were in my game for a while together and also read that you shouldn't do that.
I might just play with Kara, my 15 year old sim who did all the expansion stuff and slept with half the town with aging turned off.

And they're off (to their various boarding schools)!
The notifications that the children were leaving did not trigger right at 9 a.m. It was more like 9:12--12 very anxious minutes during which I fretted that the boarding school mechanic had somehow broken. But eventually, they all departed.
Undine marked the occasion by going out to the backyard to sculpt in her pajamas.
The game pronounced this a "great" Siren's Call (agree to disagree), and Undine was able to list it for consignment before the 5 p.m. deadline, so it sold the same day for around §4700, which means now she only has §3300 or so to go before she's finally to level 10 of the Sculptor career. That will take care of the "beauty" aspect of her generation.
Later in the evening, she and Carlos got busy renewing the "love" part.
That Bachelorette Challenge--it's going to be hard not to do that with every Sim from here on out, because I think it did a fabulous job of showing me who Undine really clicked with, something which isn't always easy to tell. (That difficulty isn't particular to her, either--I certainly never expected Velma to choose Felix.) Undine really clicks with Carlos, and vice versa.
They both have the "Eternally Faithful" moodlet, and I have so far never had any trouble with either of them trying to step out on each other. The occasional Wink interaction from Undine is about it, but that's the Irresistible trait expressing itself, and so far no harm has come from it. Knock wood it stays that way.

pls pls make a part two for the nolan x fem viltrumite reader fic 🙏🙏🙏
The Replacement PT 2

Note: I didn't expect it to blow up, especially since Nolan x reader isn't popular (SURPRISINGLY?!), but this is the fourth request, so here you go! @xecres1cloud @loudloudsilly
Synopsis: When he calls you after weeks of silence and it isn’t just to fulfill a duty. It isn’t just to ensure the future of his legacy. Because by the time the night is over, he finds himself lingering instead of leaving... You both know he’s already lost.
Warnings: Cheating, Mentions of Smut (Isw the next part will have it), Shift in Family Dynamics, Pre-Invincible Timeline, Changes to Plot For Convenience, Drama, Childhood Friends, etc. Word Count: 2,533 Omni-Man/Nolan Grayson x Fem!Viltrumite!Reader
Nolan had been raised in the doctrine of Viltrum, bred for war like all of their kind, forged in the fire of planetary conquest. But even among their ranks, he had stood out—stronger, faster, sharper. A warrior of promise. One whose name would carry weight among their people. That was when he met you.
You had been assigned to the same planetary campaign. Two soldiers, two weapons in the grand design of Viltrum’s expansion. You had fought beside him, bled beside him, watched him slaughter entire civilizations with the same ruthless precision you had been trained to admire. And for the first time in his life, Nolan found himself looking at someone who truly matched him. You were equals in everything until you weren’t. Because Nolan was given Earth. And you? You were sent somewhere else.
It was never a true friendship. Viltrumites didn’t have such things. But it was respect. Understanding. And so, this was doomed to fail. It had been weeks, you’d had come to terms that the man simply fell in love with pest he calls a wife. Until… the message came when you least expected it.
A simple transmission, frequency scrambled, his voice low and unreadable:
"Meet me. Midnight. The mountain."
No pleasantries. No explanation. Just coordinates and expectations.
And yet, when you arrived, hovering just above the jagged rock formations overlooking the city, he was already there standing near the edge, arms crossed, back turned to you as if deep in thought. The wind pulled at his cape, its billowing drawing further attention to him. "You took longer than I expected," you remarked, landing beside him. Nolan glanced at you, expression unreadable. "I had things to consider."
"And now?" You asked, his jaw tensing. “Now, I’ve decided." You felt something stir in your chest. Not surprise. No, you knew he would come to this conclusion eventually. What intrigued you was the way he looked at you when he said it. Not as a comrade. Not as a soldier. But as something else. Something that allured you unnaturally so.
"We’ll do this the right way," he continued. That brought pause. The right way? There was no right or wrong among Viltrumites. Only efficiency, only survival. Your lips parted to question him, but before you could speak, he added, almost awkwardly:
"Tomorrow. There’s a place in the city." A beat. His brow furrowed slightly, as if recalling something foreign. "A restaurant." You blinked. "A restaurant?" His expression hardened. "It’s where humans go before mating." You stared at him. Then, despite yourself, you laughed. "You’re taking me on a date?" His gaze flickered towards you. "Don’t say it like that."
"Oh, I’ll say it however I like," you teased, stepping closer, tilting your head. "Tell me, Nolan—how long did it take you to figure that out? Did you study human courtship? Read books, perhaps?"
His eye twitched. You knew you were getting under his skin, but you couldn’t help it. Nolan Grayson, a man bred for war, was attempting to romance you like one of these feeble Earth men. It was almost endearing.
His voice dropped lower, irritated but firm. "You said Earth made me comfortable—made me hesitate. I refuse to let that happen again." His fingers twitched at his sides. "This will be done efficiently. Properly. I will produce a stronger heir, but I will not have it feel… sloppy."
Your smirk widened. "So this is a mission, then?" He held your gaze for a long moment. "It’s necessary," He said.
"That’s not an answer."
His jaw tightened, but he didn’t reply.
Interesting.
You let the silence settle before finally exhaling through your nose, a sharp amusement flickering in your expression. "Fine, Nolan. I’ll humor you. We’ll do this your way. But I expect you to impress me." He scoffed. "I don’t need to impress you." You leaned in further, eyes meeting beneath the night's blanket. "And yet, here you are. Trying."
His glare was sharp, but beneath it, you could see something else. A crack in the foundation. A hesitation he hadn’t fully stomped out. And you would enjoy breaking it further.
The restaurant was small. Intimate, by human standards. Dim lighting, polished tables, the sound of distant conversations murmuring beneath soft, unfamiliar music. You sat across from Nolan Grayson, watching him attempt to play his part in this ridiculous human ritual. You had never seen him look so out of place.
His large frame nearly dwarfed the table, his hands too controlled, as if forcing himself not to cross his arms defensively. His usual confidence was there, but laced with awareness of the setting around him.
He had fought in wars. Conquered planets. And yet, you could see him struggling to sit in this chair, at this moment, as if unsure how to proceed. It was fascinating and almost hilarious.
"You look uncomfortable," you observed, sipping from the glass of wine the waiter had left. You had no intention of finishing it. Human alcohol was weak, but the act itself amused you. Nolan exhaled through his nose. "This is pointless."
"Then why are we here?"
His eyes flicked to yours. Something unreadable passed through them. He paused for a long moment, "Because I wanted to see if I could do it." You raised a brow. "Do what?" His fingers tapped once against the table, his expression somewhat displeased. "Live among them without forgetting what I am."
Ah. Now that was interesting.
"You’re adapting," you mused, tilting your head. "Becoming one of them." His glare returned instantly. "I am not one of them." Your head tilted at his response, its curtness sharp enough to cut through the atmosphere. "Then why did you bring me here?" His fingers twitched again.
You smirked. "Admit it, Nolan. You’ve become more like them than you’d like to believe. You thought this would be… appropriate, didn’t you? A way to control the situation. To keep it from being ‘sloppy.’" You leaned forward slightly, voice lowering. "But the fact that you even care about control proves you’ve already lost it."
He tensed, his jaw tight. But he didn’t deny it.
You let the silence stretch before leaning back again, swirling the wine in your glass. "It’s alright. I won’t tell the others." His eyes darkened. "Watch yourself." He warned, only causing you to grin, this authoritative side of him was rarely directed towards you. "Or what? You’ll take me on a second date?"
His scowl deepened.
Oh, you were going to enjoy this.
You felt your pulse quicken in response, but you didn’t let it show. You only smirked, tilting your head slightly. "What is it, Nolan?" He exhaled through his nose. His voice was lower when he finally spoke. "You think you know everything." Your voice lowered as your fingers ran the rim of your plate. "I know enough." His lips twitched—just barely and with chilling calmness, he said, "Then you know I always finish what I start."
The words sent a slow, thrilling pulse down your spine. You held his gaze for a moment longer, then smirked. "Prove it." And just like that—whatever game he had been playing ended. Nolan stood abruptly, tossing a few bills onto the table without a second glance. He walked past you, heading toward the exit.
Following behind him, you watched his muscles tense through his shirt, his body language betraying his confliction almost as much as your emotions were. He could feel it—the slight shift in the air, the deliberate rhythm of your steps trailing just behind his own.
Something inside him tightened at the confirmation.
The moment he stepped outside, the cool night air hitting his face, he exhaled sharply. He was irritated—not at you, but at himself. At the entire ridiculous situation. What the hell had he been thinking? Taking you to a restaurant? Entertaining this absurd, human notion of courtship when you had already been willing from the start? He should have just handled this like a soldier, like a Viltrumite. “You’re angry,” you mused from behind him, amusement laced in your tone. Nolan scoffed, keeping his gaze fixed ahead. “I’m annoyed.” Your brow arched. “At me?” He sighed, “At this.” His voice came out lower than he intended, the frustration bleeding through. “This entire… process. This wasn’t supposed to be complicated.”
“Then stop making it complicated.”
Your words came with a quiet finality that made him halt mid-step. Slowly, he turned to face you. You had stopped just a few paces behind him, arms folded, watching him with that infuriatingly knowing look. You had baited him in that restaurant. You had pushed him, deliberately forcing him to see the cracks in his own logic. And now, here you were, waiting and calling his bluff. He stepped forward, voice dropping. “You think you’ve won.” Your smirk widened just slightly. “I know I have.”
A long pause.
Then, before he could rationalize it, before he could stop himself, Nolan closed the remaining distance between you and grabbed the back of your neck, crushing his mouth against yours. It wasn’t controlled. It wasn’t precise. It was rough. Frustrated. A mix of anger and something else—something neither of you were willing to name, but had always been deep rooted. But whatever this was, whatever game had been playing out between you for weeks… It had finally tipped over the edge.
His calloused fingers scraped against your neck. The hunger was there, simmering beneath the surface, his self-control slipping as his fingers tightened. The way his breath hitched when you pressed closer. When he finally deepened the kiss, it was warm and consuming, but never careless. He kissed you like he had all the time in the world, like he needed you to feel it, to understand the weight behind it. The weight behind what he was about to do. Nolan should have left an hour ago.
Maybe two.
He wasn’t sure anymore.
Time had always been a trivial thing for their kind—measured in centuries rather than fleeting moments—but tonight, it had slipped through his fingers entirely.
He stood at the edge of the ridge, breathing in the cool night air. The stars stretched endlessly above him, the faint hum of distant city lights flickering below, his barely clothed body shimmering dramatically. But the only thing he was focused on was you.
You were still catching your breath beside him, skin still warm from where he had gripped you too tightly, his thumb unconsciously brushing over a fading red mark on your arm. Neither of you had spoken in the past few minutes, content to let the silence settle between you like an unspoken understanding. Even if you had your doubts, perhaps your relationship with your ex- husband wasn’t as fruitful as preconceived. Nolan now had a softness in bed, one he surely adapted from being with that human, and one that made you feel more than a Viltrumite… it made you feel special. Only because it was him. You both had riddled one another in kisses, nothing to get caught, but surely more than intended, barely breaching the child bearing process to your liking.
And then, as if reading his thoughts, you exhaled a quiet laugh. “You’re still here.” Nolan tensed. The words were simple, but the meaning behind them wasn’t. He should have been gone already. Should have returned home, slid back into his life like nothing had happened, just as he had so many times before. This was your third meeting now, each time you two explored further.
But instead, he was lingering. His jaw tightened. “I lost track of time.” You hummed, tilting your head slightly as you studied him. “That’s unlike you.” He didn’t respond, he wasn’t sure how. Because the truth was, it was unlike him. It was unlike everything he had been trained to be, to be calculating, disciplined, never indulgent. And yet, here he was. Still with you.
When he should have been somewhere else.
When he should have been with—
The buzzing of his phone shattered the quiet. Both of you froze. Nolan turned it over in his palm, staring at the screen as the name Debbie lit up the night. You didn’t move, didn’t push, but he could feel your presence beside him, watching. Waiting.
His grip tightened around the device. The vibration seemed louder than it should have been, rattling through his bones. He could answer it and he should. But for the first time in his entire life… he hesitated. The moment soon stretched just long enough for the call to go silent. You inhaled softly, then, with a slow, deliberate motion, reached forward—your fingers brushing the edge of his hand, barely a touch, but enough to send a ripple of something dangerous through him. “Are you going to call her back?”
Nolan swallowed, his throat suddenly dry. He knew what you were doing—letting him make the choice. Not pushing, not forcing, just watching. Observing as you always had. Letting him realize it for himself. Slowly, his thumb hovered over the screen. Then, deliberately he pressed decline. Turning away as he returned to be with you.
A low, satisfied hum left him as he finally leaned back, eyes dragging over you like he was memorizing the sight. Clearly, pleased with his work. His hand traced the curve of your thigh absentmindedly before tightening, fingers pressing just hard enough to make you shiver. Then, with that smirk—the one that always meant trouble—he exhaled a quiet chuckle.
“You look exhausted,” he mused, voice laced with amusement. His thumb stroked lazily over your skin. “Guess I shouldn’t expect much fight from you next time.” Slowly, you exhaled through your nose, a brow raised. "Oh?" You shifted purposefully to make him doubt himself. "You think too highly of yourself, Nolan."
Debbie stared at her phone, brows knitting together in quiet concern as the call ended without an answer. That was… unusual. Nolan always answered. Even when he was in the middle of something, even when he was too far away to get home quickly, he always let her know. She glanced at the clock. 3:27 AM. A small pit formed in her stomach. She set the phone down, exhaling slowly. He’s fine, she told herself. He’s Omni-Man. If something had happened, I’d know. Even so, she laid back down, staring at the ceiling, unable to shake the unease curling around her ribs. Nolan could feel something shifting in his home.
Debbie hadn’t changed. She was still the same, still trusting, still blind to what was happening behind her back. But Mark? Mark was beginning to watch him. At first, it had been subtle. A hesitation before responding, a lingering glance when Nolan would return home. But tonight, when he finally walked through the front door, hours later than he should have, Mark was already there.
“Where were you?”
The words were casual, tossed out in passing, but Nolan knew better. He could hear the edge in them. The underlying suspicion. He barely looked up from the newspaper in his hands. “Working.” Mark leaned against the kitchen counter, arms crossed. “Huh. That’s weird.” Nolan finally glanced at him. “Weird how?” Mark shrugged. “Just… didn’t see anything on the news about it.”
The statement hung between them.
For a brief moment, Nolan considered giving a real explanation—something airtight, something to satisfy the boy’s curiosity before it turned into something worse. Control the situation. Nolan’s eyebrows furrowed just slightly, and his voice dropped into something heavier. “I don’t need to explain myself to you, Mark.” The words landed exactly as intended.
Mark stiffened, lips pursed into a thin line before finally nodding. “…Right.” He pushed off the counter and left the room without another word. Nolan exhaled slowly, this was getting dangerous. He felt guilty for misleading Mark, he was his child after all. And yet, when night fell, when the house grew quiet again… He still left. Still went back to you. Again. And again.

Vedic Astro Observations - Some Nakshatra placements
I set out to study the nakshatras from Scorpio to Pisces, from Anuradha to Revati. The focus was on planetary positions, transit effects, general traits, and some unique observations gathered along the way. Every detail was recorded carefully with an eye on well-known views to ensure a clear and deep understanding.
In the study of Uttara Bhadrapada, it was found that when Rahu is in this nakshatra, it brings together a strong desire for worldly success and a deep inner insight. People with this placement often try very extreme paths early in life. For example, they may chase fame or money with great energy. Over time, Saturn’s influence helps to keep these ambitions grounded and creates a balance. Many eventually become unique helpers in their communities. Their energy is light and flexible, allowing them to take on many roles, even though they remain hard to define. Rahu seems to encourage letting go of ego and illusion, turning these people into supporters of the common good. Occasional bursts of ego or a wish to escape may appear, but Saturn usually guides the energy into healing work.
Ketu in Uttara Bhadrapada appears to mark a soul nearing the end of its karmic journey. People with this placement show clear detachment and wisdom from a young age. They often feel complete on their own, much like a lone animal that thrives independently. This placement reduces the desire for material things and naturally leads to a simpler life focused on spiritual practices, meditation, or healing. Many seem to have natural talents in spiritual arts, and life events tend to push them toward roles as guides or teachers. A tendency to spend long periods alone, in nature or in quiet prayer, is common. Ultimately, Ketu in Uttara Bhadrapada means a life of closing old chapters, forgiving past wrongs, settling old debts, and passing on hard-earned wisdom to the next generation. The legacy left behind is a gentle mark of peace in the community.
The moving planets in Uttara Bhadrapada often bring feelings of resolution and healing. For example, when Saturn moves through this nakshatra, which happens about every 30 years, relief often follows hard times. This shift can help stabilize situations after a recession or bring peace after conflicts. It is seen as a time when the hard energy of the past is gently finished. In the same way, Jupiter moving through this area often sparks new spiritual insights and boosts efforts to help others, making generosity more common. When Rahu and Ketu transit this nakshatra, it signals the end of old ways and opens the door for more caring leadership. On many occasions, these periods have marked moments of closing old chapters, such as leaving a long-held job, settling old disputes, or paying off a big debt. Practices like meditation, therapy, and inner work have helped many let go of heavy burdens. An increase in intuition and meaningful dreams is often reported during these changes. These planetary shifts serve as chances to find deep peace and satisfaction for both individuals and society.
Uttara Bhadrapada is represented by a caring animal that stands for giving and tenderness. People born under this nakshatra often have a light and calm look. Even those who seem tough on the outside may hide a sensitive heart and a pure inner nature that shows up over time. Loyalty comes naturally to them, and they tend to be devoted friends and partners. Being the last of the 27 stars, many with this placement often take on roles as elders or mentors even when still young. They seem to have a knack for understanding who is genuine and for guiding others out of dark times. In this way, Uttara Bhadrapada is like a gentle rain that soothes dry land, bringing stability, care, and guidance to a world that has experienced many hardships.
Turning to Revati, which covers 16°40′ to 30°00′ in Pisces, this nakshatra is known as the Wealthy or the Nourisher. It is seen as the final stage of the journey and appears to be the most advanced of all. Revati is ruled by Mercury and has Pushan as its deity. Pushan is a protective figure who watches over travelers and souls. He stands for prosperity, safe travel, and spiritual care. Revati is shown by either a pair of fish or a drum. The fish represent fertility and the natural flow of life at the end of the Piscean phase, while the drum shows the passing of time and the joyful end of experiences.
People born under Revati are gentle, kind, and optimistic. They have a free spirit and are often very lucky because they are not too attached to material things. This lack of attachment seems to attract abundance in money, spiritual growth, or natural talent. Their relaxed, playful, and generous nature makes them easy to be around, and many allow life to take its course without worry. This often leads to dramatic changes such as rising from humble beginnings or even being born into good fortune.
Pushan, the deity of Revati, adds to these traits by giving a sense of protection and care. Those with Revati tend to be very protective, especially toward animals, children, or anyone vulnerable. A lasting care for family and friends is common, perhaps because lessons from earlier stages have been well absorbed. Even though there may be times when the company of others is missed, there is also a strong inner strength and self-reliance. This mix of being loving and social while also standing strong on one's own is one of the interesting qualities of Revati.
Creativity and music play a big role in Revati. With Mercury’s influence and the image of the drum, people of Revati have a good sense of rhythm and clear ways of expressing themselves. Many excel in music, dance, or poetry, and even those with a naturally cheerful personality seem creatively gifted. Their intuitive skills sometimes border on the psychic, with vivid dreams or a sense of having been here before showing a deep connection with what is to come. This quality brings natural hope and trust, helping them stay positive and find help when needed. Revati shows open minds, kindness, and a spirit that does not judge.
The positions of the planets in Revati reveal many influences that shape the people born under this nakshatra. With the Sun in Revati, warm, kind, and sometimes playful personalities tend to emerge. These individuals often do well in creative or helpful work, leading through kindness rather than force. They have a strong sense of who they are without being full of themselves. Many are drawn to work with children, animals, or the arts, naturally offering gentle support and setting a good example.
The Moon in Revati enhances qualities of care, imagination, and protection. Those with the Moon here tend to be very forgiving and seem naturally lucky. Their feelings are soft and nurturing, giving them an almost magical quality. Strong bonds with animals are common, and there is little fear of exploring the mysteries of life and death. The main challenge is learning to set good limits while still remaining open and kind.
Mercury in Revati makes for clear and friendly speech. People with this placement speak with humor and clarity, often becoming excellent storytellers, writers, or advisers. A love for language, poetry, and music is evident, and advice is given with good timing and understanding. Although focus can sometimes be a challenge because of the dreamy nature of Pisces, the insights offered are both helpful and inspiring.
Venus in Revati brings a loving, kind, and artistically gifted nature. Individuals with this placement are capable of deep, heartfelt love and may make significant sacrifices for those they care about. They often show a dreamy, free spirit that adds to their charm and sometimes brings unexpected wealth. Generosity is common, and love is shared openly with both animals and friends. Caution is needed at times to avoid overlooking faults in others.
Mars in Revati shows a balance between strong drive and gentleness. Those influenced by Mars work hard for causes they care about, especially for those who are less fortunate, and rarely come across as aggressive. Their energy is channeled into caring actions and works well in rescue efforts or other forms of support. Although passion for defending the vulnerable is strong, it is usually expressed in a calm and kind way, with a preference for working together rather than engaging in conflict.
Jupiter in Revati is one of the happiest influences. As the planet of wisdom and growth, it brings a thoughtful and generous outlook. Those with Jupiter in Revati often receive unexpected good fortune or timely help when needed. A mentor-like role is taken on naturally, and there is an enjoyment of travel and learning from different cultures. The view of the world remains broad and welcoming, though caution is sometimes needed to avoid giving too much of oneself.
Saturn in Revati teaches the skill of letting go and trusting the natural flow of life. Those with Saturn here may struggle at first with setting limits or might give too much of themselves, but with time wisdom grows. This patience eventually leads to a stable and secure life, with many finding fulfilling work in healing or helping others. Later years often resemble the calm of an elder sitting quietly by a river, having learned to close old chapters and start new ones.
Rahu in Revati adds a touch of imagination and unusual ideas. People with this placement often develop unique spiritual thoughts or find new ways to blend modern tools with their faith. Their caring nature grows even stronger, and they often participate in work or creative projects that attract admiration. There is a need to be careful, however, because a tendency to get lost in fantasies can appear. This influence is strong, but it is usually balanced by the natural positive energy of Revati.
Ketu in Revati is one of the strongest spiritual influences. It often shows a soul that has already settled many worldly desires in past lives. Those with this placement tend to show detachment and are drawn to spiritual or healing work from an early age. Their intuition, which sometimes seems nearly psychic, sets them apart. They usually live a simple life that values inner wisdom over praise from others. Many are seen to leave life with a deep sense of peace, suggesting that the journey toward freedom is nearly complete.
The transit effects in Revati are usually calm and helpful. When Jupiter moves through Revati, which happens every 12 years, a wave of optimism, financial relief, and a new focus on helping others often follows. Similarly, when Saturn moves through Revati, which occurs about every 30 years, it often marks the end of hard times and brings a period of recovery. This phase may lead to peace agreements or efforts to help the environment. Eclipses during these times signal the need to close old chapters, and many end bad habits or relationships while starting fresh beginnings. These periods have often proven to be good for forgiving old hurts, finding new spiritual ideas, and allowing creative projects to grow.
In final thoughts, Revati's energy is like a spiritual sunrise. It signals that the long, dark night is ending and a new day is near. The name Revati means wealthy or prosperous, and those born under this nakshatra often experience big changes in their fortunes. They may rise from humble beginnings or be blessed with abundance. Their appearance is often gentle and attractive, with a natural sense of timing that shows in every part of life, including art. Because Revati is linked to spiritual freedom, its influence brings a calm, old-soul feel mixed with a playful, almost saintly humor. In the end, Revati stands as a symbol of completion and contentment, showing all the lessons learned through the journey of the nakshatras and gently leading into the next cycle with care and wisdom.
