Note: Since my old masterlist is getting notes again (and I'm hosting @tbb-appreciation-week this year), I thought it's a good time to release a new version with a lot more resources. If any of you know another site or thing that it's missing from the list, let me know and I'll include it!! [Altho, I'm getting this close 🤏 to the hyperlinks limit on this thing 😆]
Note 2: To avoid tagging the 3 people from whom I got multiple resources repeatedly, I've placed 1-3 asterisks between square brackets after the links, depending on the OP. I give the respective credit to them in a legend at the end of the post.

WRITING IN GENERAL (For those who don't want to die like Stormtroopers)
SlickWrite: Completely free; online. Checks grammar, punctuation, flow, and writing style according to different settings (including fiction writing).
ProWritingAid: [RECOMMENDED] One of the most thorough online proofreader I've ever used. Although when using a free account gives extremely thorough feedback, with +20 different in-depth reports, for only the first 500 words. However, you can earn a premium account license (for a year or for life) if you get 10 or 20 new users signing up for free; (if you wouldn't mind doing so using the link above and help me earn mine, please). The settings allow you to check your writing according to your needs, from general to formal to creative. It has a bonus that you can check depending on the genre you're writing. For example, in creative, you can choose romance or sci-fiction (there are 14 sub-genre in total). And just like google docs, you can share a document, and people can view, comment or edit it too.
LanguageTool: [RECOMMENDED] Another excellent proofreader. It also has a word limit in free accounts, but if you use the add-on for Google Docs, it counts each page as a new document, so hitting the word limit is nearly impossible. It helps you to rewrite a sentence (3 a day), even if it doesn't raise any flags; it's very useful for when your sentence is grammatically correct, but it doesn't feel quite right.
Grammarly, Hemingway Editor: No so great, but they do the basic job.

Humans are weird: Human cameramen are crazy
( Please come see me on my new patreon and support me for early access to stories and personal story requests :D https://www.patreon.com/NiqhtLord Every bit helps)
The greatest decision Intergalactic Wave 6 ever made was hiring Reggie Bradford.
At the time of Finch’s hiring IW6 was a relatively small news organization based in the outer worlds. Barely reaching four systems on a good day compared to the top contenders like Celestial Times which was broadcasted in inner core systems and pulled in an average of twenty to thirty systems each broadcast. The anchors for IW6 were locals, a Temrelien that needed a third grade translator unit just to be barely understood and a Myporie which couldn’t see the color green.
As the underdog’s underdog, IW6 more often fed off larger stories reported by other stations or small local stories relevant to a handful of worlds.  Nothing interesting happened in their corner of the universe so as long as they broke even they were fine to never reach further than the length of their arm.
Reggie Bradford was a hired on as a cameraman to work for one of the planetary studios on Orbin VIII. You’d find him either working in the back making sure the camera bots were functioning or, more often, when they weren’t he’d be manning the forty pound cameras himself. The studio crews were always amazed how this seemingly out of shape man could heft the heavy outdated camera unit like it was as light as a pen.
They wondered what a lone human was doing so far out in the boonies as he would say, but he would always shrug and say that he felt like this is where he belonged; a notion IW6 would be most grateful for in the coming days.
When the Intherax/Coalition war broke out it was the biggest news story to hit the plasma streams since the death of Empress Karen III when she was eaten by her own corganai.
The Intherax were a militaristic society, trained from birth to kill before anything else, and spanned some fifty star systems not including client kingdoms and vassals. General galactic dealings with them often boiled down to standing aside from whatever they wanted and hoping it wasn’t you or your world, lest the invasion armadas would descend and obliterate what little civilization your people had been able to achieve and then be sold into slavery.
This time however when the Intherax made a proclamation to annex the colony worlds of Jense, Shatu’a, and New Hamburg the current occupants politely told them to bugger off and formed a Coalition for mutual defense. From there dozens of governing powers flocked to the coalition and added their strength to it in what they saw as the best chance of finally checking Intherax aggression once and for all.
Ever one for a challenge, the Interax declared war on this new found coalition and opened the conflict by orbital bombarding Jense until it was little more than a cold husk of rock trapped in the decaying orbit of its system’s sun.
What followed was best described as two sides of no holds bar warfare as the Coalition retaliated with the first ever invasion of Intherax territory against the world called Kai’de.
Naturally every news organization wanted to be seen covering the war, including IW6. Sadly they did not have anyone either brave enough to send so they settled on sending someone they believed was stupid enough and sent Reggie.
They expected to get some b-roll of soldiers marching or shots of fleet warships in formation. They never expected nor asked him to go into active combat. So when the first feed came back during their late night broadcast they were surprised to see that Reggie was onboard an assault ship breaking through atmosphere.
“Reggie,” the Temrelien spoke with every other word shifting tone from the broken translator, “where are you?”
“I’m currently with brave members of the 27th Dragoons as they head to take the fight to the surface of Kai’de.”
Reggie waved a hand at the soldiers who in turn gave a rousing cheer and slammed their feet against the metal decking.
“Orders came in late last night for a massed landing to take the enemy by surprise. From what I understand the Intherax military had not expected coalition forces to invade their territory and have not had time to establish proper defenses.”
Both news anchors looked at each other in confusion.
“If that’s the case isn’t this broadcast putting the entire attack at risk?”
To their surprise Reggie laughed as the camera shook.
“The plan was to get them by surprise, but judging from the amount of anti-air fire,” he said as the assault ship rocked back and forth, “I don’t think they were fooled.”
The camera panned right suddenly as one of the armored dragoons grabbed it and spoke directly into it.
“We want them to know we’re coming! Because we’re going to kill them all!! AHAHAHAH!!”
Another chorus of cheers and whoops came from the soldiers as the soldier let go of the camera and Reggie readjusted it. The anchors wanted to continue their questions when the leader of the dragoons shouted out and interrupted them.
“60 seconds!”
With the order given the soldiers stopped their foolery and began hefting their weapons. Reggie panned the camera over them as they slapped in fresh clips or attached power cables from their backpack generators to their more heavy weaponry.
In awestruck silence the anchors and their viewers watched as the assault shuttle slammed hard into the surface and the boarding ramp flew open.
“GO GO GO GO!!!!” the dragoon leader shouted as the soldiers poured out screaming their battle cries. Reggie waited and filmed them as they disembarked but did not join the first out the ramp. A inclination that saved him as enemy gun fire began raking the ramp striking several soldiers down in clouds of viscera and gore.
The censors barely had time to cut the feed while the horrified anchors composed themselves to resume the broadcast.
In the hours that followed IW6 confirmed that Reggie had survived the battle and had been with the unit of dragoons for the entire duration. During those hours he had recorded the entire engagement from ramp down, to storming city streets as the Intherax deployed building sized walkers, to the hoisting of the coalition flag over the central governing building at the heart of the city.
With this footage viewership numbers for IW6 skyrocketed overnight as none of the other networks had been able to capture such stunning footage. In fact, by the intake of broadcasts none of them had been able to attach an anchor or cameramen to the initial assault save for Reggie. When asked how he had been able to get approved for such a deployment he did not say which only further added to the mystery. Yet for the moment IW6 was far from ready to look a gift horse in the mouth.
Reggie’s footage was shown over and over on IW6 and was soon sublicensed to other networks and shown there. Exploits of the dragoons became known galaxy wide as Reggie followed them through battle after battle; never afraid to risk his life to capture the perfect moment.
When the Intherax fleet arrived in orbit and began to bombard the planet while also fighting the coalition fleet Reggie had forgone sheltering in nearby bunker complexes to film the orbital strikes as they hurtled down all around them.
Thick columns of pure energy shattered buildings and mountains alike as the ground quaked and there stood a lone Reggie filming it all. Even when the anchors begged him to find shelter he simply panned the camera over the city to show entire skyscrapers be reduced to molten mounds the oozed and sludged through the city streets.
By the time the battle had finally ended thanks to Reggie’s footage IW6 climbed the viewership charts to be the third most watched network galaxy wide. Much to the dismay of IW6 it also drew the attention of Reggie the cameraman to the other outlets who began showering him with ever more lavish offers for employment.
Too their surprise he denied them all and said that he was right where he belonged.

Let’s Talk About: The Root Chakra
The root chakra is the first chakra, associated with the color red, and rules your tailbone, feet and glutes (the part of you that touches the ground when you walk or sit).
The root chakra governs your groundedness and feeling safe in your body and environment. It’s what helps you feel rooted and stabilized. It quite literally roots your energy into the planetary grid. Think of your root chakra as the metal conductors on a plug and how when you connect it to the wall socket a flow of energy is formed. That’s how the root chakra works with your own energy.
Root Chakra Blockages
Blockages can occur when your safety is threatened—abuse, physical assaults, being stalked, living around unstable people or in unstable conditions, to name a few. Or when your space, autonomy, or rights are violated—sexual assault or similar things.
You may also struggle with root chakra imbalances if you struggle to ground your energy through your full system, ie your energy is sort of stuck in the crown. That’s why spiritual people say it’s important to ground yourself. You can get so crown heavy you disconnect from your body and struggle to move or operate it. This has happened to me.
As a naturally spiritual person, I actually struggle to move my energy down to my root. Especially because my way of dealing with not feeling safe was to escape into daydreams or to go find somewhere to hide alone. I’m used to keeping my energy up higher, in my crown and third eye, where it’s safer. As I’ve been healing I’ve consciously been pushing my energy down. It usually gets blocked starting at throat chakra then down.
Signs of Root Chakra Imbalances:
— feeling spacy or unable to focus (struggling to ground the energy from your mind)
— feeling separate from your body or dissociation (struggling to ground due to a disconnect in your flow of energy through your energetic field)
— feeling paranoid about your safety, or like thinking people are out to get you, being so worried about someone breaking into your house, etc. (not grounding into the safety of this now moment via your mental body)
— shutting down, if you freeze or shut down in response to conflict or other triggering, this is a sign of root chakra imbalance at the point of entry of the root chakra
— anxiety, aka excessive fear about things outside of your now moment
— lower back pain or feet and ankle issues
How to Heal Your Root Chakra:
— somatic exercise, specifically yoga around hip opening exercises, and thigh stretching, stretching of the glutes, this can carry a lot of trauma associated with the root chakra
— eating root vegetables
— walking barefoot on the ground
— sitting and meditating on the ground, connect the palms of your hands to the ground and imagine energy flowing up through you from all the skin contact you make with the ground, lying down will be the most contact
— spending time outside
— eating heavy food or wearing heavy clothes (since root chakra imbalances struggle to ground you, eating things or wearing things that add weight can force you down too—that’s how weighted blankets work. They weigh the person down so they can feel more safe when they are having anxiety aka a root chakra imbalance because anxiety is rooted in fears that are usually not present at the moment
— building muscle, again adds weight and can make you feel more grounded in your body
— surround yourself with the color red and things that light you up with passion

hello! First of all, thank you for creating the Yanqing's Happy Family AU! I'm kind of obsessed with it, ngl, it's like, they're soooo cute!!!
Anyway, do you have any HC of when Yanqing doing his first mission as a Cloud Knight? In my head I always thought of the dads as the kind of parent that would secretly follow (*cough*stalk*cough*) their kid on their very first errand to the market, and the thought of that happening here is hilarious lmao🥰🥰
Then again, I just love all HC of the dads being protective of Yanqing in general, like maybe from an assassination attempt? It'll make a good angst :D
Thank you!!! They are super cute!!!❤️
They are very protective of Yanqing and I do have an assassination attempt on that is in the works. Still at the brainstorming phase thought so it'll be a while before it is written.
I wasn't sure which kind of mission you wanted so I provided 2 different ones. I love them being protective but anxious dads. Feel free to send more asks!!!
Supervised Mission
Up until he was 13, Yanqing's missions were always supervised by Jing Yuan or Jingliu. While the Xianzhou Alliance at heart was always at war, they did not have it in them to send Yanqing out on his own regardless of his skill. For those who stay behind, they are a bundle of nerves that grow more frantic each day. The battlefield is unpredictable and their little bird is so young and little. They could not bear it if his wings were clipped too early.
Even during supervised missions, there were always constant calls and follow-ups. Jing Yuan was always strict about not missing personal relationships with work, especially since it could lead to talks of Yanqing only achieving his position through nepotism. However, he would give constant updates and was only on the lookout for Yanqing's well-being. While he would sit back so his son could learn, any opponent that targeted his son would be quickly killed by Lightning Lord.
Jingliu, on the other hand, does not coddle Yanqing on missions. Coddling would only harm him and it is best he learn about the battlefield in a controlled environment. it was also why she refused to let the others join any mission Yanqing was on with the exception of Jing Yuan. Jingliu blocks the others before a mission due to their constant questions. One would think Dan Feng is the worst, but it's actually Yingxing. Dan Feng texts constantly at the beginning but will stop after a couple of hours. Yingxing sends a text every hour on the dot. "You guys are annoying. He's fine, if he wasn't I would text you."- JIngliu
First Solo Mission
A full-fledged assault by the Denizens of Abundance on a planetary system was met with the combined might of all six ships. Due to the scale of the battle and the need for all available personnel to be on the frontline, Yanqing's first solo mission on the battlefield was as reinforcements against the Windguard mecha beasts. At the same time, other members of his family were sent to different battles as well, leaving them unable to reach him.
Dan Feng, who was stationed on a water-filled planet due to his powers, was absolutely ferocious in battle. He cut through enemies without mercy. To him, the more they died, the less they were threats to his child. He also was extremely angry at being so far away and had no qualms about using his power to the fullest extent to end the battle quickly. The sooner he returned, the sooner he could see his child and tend to injuries. He could not find it in him to look at updates for Yanqing's battalion but he assumed if no messenger came, then his son was okay. "I need all of you to quickly die so I can go home and see my family."- Dan Feng after drowning a third of the enemy forces
Yingxing, despite being the most composed when it came to Yanqing, was filled with worry. He double, tripled checked his son's weapons before he left. He provided as much information as he could on the working on mechabeasts in the hopes the situation would be resolved before Yanqing arrived on the battlefield. Due to the days of waiting and overseeing the production of weapons, he was incredibly short with everyone though many understood why. Yingxing refused to check on anyone's status, partially because he was sure they were fine but also because any distressing news could impact his work and delay supplies and weapons to the frontlines. "You can tell that idiot of a supplies officer if he keeps delaying supplies to the front lines I will kill him!" - Yingxing to one of his students
Baiheng had joined other foxian pilots in a vicious battle against the wingweavers. She was the closest to Yanqing in terms of location and would constantly man the communication lines for updates on his situation. It went to the point where she would fall asleep with her radio tuned into the communication line and each morning she would check the casualty list. "Casualty list. Search. Yanqing. Unit name. Comet Orbit Fleet. Nothing! oh, thank Lan!"- Baiheng
Jingliu is easily the calmest in the situation. Older and more experienced than anyone else, she is very aware of the path of the Hunt and what it demands. Also, as Yanqing's teacher, she knows he will be fine. If he is old enough to copy her attacks, he will have no problem against the enemy. However, after every battle, she also checks the casualty list. "Baiheng, fine. Dan Feng, fine. Yingxing, fine. Jing Yuan, fine. Yanqing, fine. Good, they're all fine."- Jingliu
Jing Yuan was incredibly anxious. He did not fight as his time was spent strategizing not only for his fleet but the entire alliance. He did not have time to watch over matters concerning Yanqing much to his chagrin but he had ordered Qingzu to notify him of any updates no matter how small. He also found himself unable to sleep due to worry and during rare quiet periods, he spent it watching videos of Yanqing as a baby or looking at photos of them as a family to quell his aching heart. "He was so small back then. Soon, you'll be home Yanqing."- Jing Yuan who was getting teary-eyed after looking at photos of Yanqing playing with Mimi.
Yanqing made quite a stir on the battlefield. Not only did he take the Windguard head-on and chop its head off, but he also managed to strategically destroy their fleet. With their main offensive weapon out of the picture, the remaining enemy was in disarray and open to a swift and decisive offensive. "This is exhilarating!"- Yanqing developing a penchant for for fighting and the battlefield.
Yanqing was the last to make it back to the Luofu due to him being stationed the furthest from his family. He was, however, greeted with great excitement. Jing Yuan, who was the first to greet him once they were away from the other Cloud Knights, pulled him into a hug and checked over the wounds he got. Yingxing was next, having rushed over from the Artisanship Commission. He also pulled his child into a hug before demanding to see all his weapons, hoping to assess the damages and repair them before he was sent out again. Dan Feng had come rushing from treating a nasty cut on Baiheng's leg and demanded to see Yanqing's wounds. He later spent the next hour redressing everything and criticizing the handiwork of an amateur medic, stating that Yanqing could have suffered from sepsis due to the wounds not being cleaned properly.
Baiheng and Jingliu had come over later after ensuring that each other was okay. Baiheng had ordered food and was hell-bent on feeding Yanqing, saying that he had gotten so skinny in the week he was away. Jingliu, having read the report, was more than proud of her student especially his actions him severing the Wingguard's head.
After that mission, it would be another 6 months before Yanqing was sent out again. Dan Feng refuses to let Yanqing out of his sight and Yingxing and Jing Yuan agree, saying he is too young to be doing back-to-back missions like that. It totally has nothing to do with the fact that the week he was away was the most stressful week of their lives and how Yingxing was losing so much hair from the stress.
I might have gone a bit overboard with answering this but I was just so into it!
Thank you for sending me this ask!!!

VLD S7E8: The Last Stand, Part 2
Season 7, Episode 8: The Last Stand, Part 2
Transcript by @dragonofyang
Episode Summary: Sendak’s forces launch an assault on Earth, and Sam Holt, Admiral Sanda, and Commander Iverson fight back, but Earth loses ground against the advanced technology of the Galra fleet. The MFE pilots go on a mission for supplies, and the last of Earth’s free inhabitants prepare to make their final stand against the Fire of Purification.
[Google Doc]
[Man on PA] All personnel, proceed to your command stations immediately.
Sendak: Assessment.
Hepta: Scanners have yet to detect any signs of a sub-orbital defense system. Planetary surface reports indicate offensive capability, extremely low.
Sendak: Begin the assault. Fire.
Unnamed soldier: Move, move, move!
[Cut to Galaxy Command Center.]
Sanda: Power the surface-to-air blasters. Dispatch the first wave of Garrison fighters. Prep the next wave immediately.
Sam: Wait! We can’t use the standard defenses.
Sanda: We’re going to hit those aliens with hundreds of thousands of pounds of thermobaric missiles and finish them off with the best pilots the world has to offer.
Sam: They don’t stand a chance out there. We need to scramble the MFE fighters.
Sanda: The pilots of the MFEs are just cadets.
Sam: So are the pilots of Voltron.
Sanda: Launch base defenses according to protocol. Commander!
Iverson: I know you have wartime authorization, but maybe we should listen to--
Sanda: That’s an order! We can’t risk the planet on untested military weaponry piloted by cadets.
Iverson: This is Commander Iverson. Initiate base defense protocol, Beta-Five. I repeat, initiate base defense protocol, Beta-Five.
Adam: You heard the man, we’re up.
Sam: You’ve just doomed those men and women.
[Cut to the air above the Garrison.]
Adam: Our weapons have no effect!
Man: Evasive maneuvers!
Adam: Wildcat’s gone. Titan’s not responding.
Woman: I can’t shake these things. He’s got me on target lock!
Man 2: Hang in there! I’m heading your way!
Woman: I can’t--No!
Woman 2: Be aware, another Galra fleet is launching and approaching.
Woman 3: I’ve got target lock! No!
Adam: [screams]
Sendak: This is Commander Sendak of the Fire of Purification. I am here for the Voltron Lions. Turn them over to me or I will destroy your planet.
Sanda: Open a line.
Veronica: Yes, Admiral.
Sanda: This is Admiral Sanda of Earth. We have received your communication requesting the Voltron Lions. Please be advised that our planet is not harboring them nor do we know where they are.
Sendak: We’ll see.
Sam: Tell all Garrison bases to call back fighters.
Veronica: All Garrison bases are under attack. They’re not responding. They’ve already scrambled fighters.
[Scene change to Sendak’s ship.]
Sendak: Battle report.
Hepta: The planet has offered little resistance with the exception of this single location. It appears to be utilizing particle barrier technology.
Sendak: Focus all firepower on that shield. The ion cannon will make short work of it.
[Scene change to the Galaxy Garrison command room.]
Veronica: Sir, it looks like the alien ships are focusing in on our location.
Sam: Scramble the MFE-Ares fighters. Begin powering up the fusion cannon.
Iverson: Yes, sir.
Sanda: I will court-martial you if you utter one command against my orders.
Iverson: There won’t be a court to try me in if we don’t listen to Commander Holt.
Iverson on PA: MFE-Ares pilots, begin loading sequence. Activate interlock.
Griffin: Dynotherms connected.
Rizavi: Mega-thrusters are go.
Griffin: We’re ready to depart on your mark, Commander Iverson.
Iverson: Three… Two… One… Mark!
Hepta: They’re scrambling fighters, Commander.
Sendak: Fire the ion cannon.
Hepta: The particle barrier shows no signs of structural damage.
Griffin: Okay, team, we’ve trained for this. We know their maneuvers and have the firepower to knock them out. Leifsdottir, you’re my wing.
Leifsdottir: Ten-four.
Griffin: Rizavi, you and Kinkade keep those fighters off our back.
Rizavi: Copy.
Veronica: Fusion cannon online.
Sam: Fire!
Veronica: Direct hit. Target destroyed.
Sam: Fusion cannon status report.
Veronica: It’s drained substantial power. Estimating enough for two more shots before recharge, sir.
Sam: Sendak doesn’t know that.
Hepta: The cannon appears to be charging for another shot.
Sendak: This is the only place on the planet well-defended. Fall back out of its range. We will attack where they are vulnerable.
Veronica: The entire fleet is pulling out. They’re focusing their attacks on the remaining cities.
Sam: Update the rest of the globe. They need to evacuate to safe zones immediately.
Sanda: We should go after them. Your weapons actually mounted an offense.
Sam: The fighters are only short-range and the cannon is immobile. If we leave its proximity, we’d be decimated.
Veronica: Sir, communication with all of Western Europe has gone dark. Russia. China. India. East Coast Base, please acknowledge, over. Can anyone on the East Coast respond? Over. Please?
Hepta: Scouting reports show no signs of the Voltron Lions. Shall we continue the occupation, sir?
Sendak: Yes, the Paladins will return. And we’ll be waiting for them.
[Scene change to Garrison command center.]
Veronica: Commander, we are no longer receiving responses on any channels. What are your orders?
Sam: The Galra just delivered a critical blow. I know many of you in this room feel we should press our attack, and believe me when I say I wish we could. Even with all we’ve accomplished, we’re still not ready to fight the Galra head-on. However, while this base stands, Earth still has a chance. I believe in each and every one of you. You made it here because of your ability to overcome adversity, and now the freedom of planet Earth is dependent on that ability. Everyone break to their sub-commands. I want a full status update of this base. We will prevail.
Sanda: When this is all said and done, I’m going to have you both stripped of your rank and thrown in the brig for defying my orders.
Iverson: Yes, ma’am.
Sanda: Now, we don’t have the Lions. Why is Sendak still invading?
Sam: You don’t understand the Galra. They’ve been conquering the universe for over ten thousand years. Sendak must have a plan.
[Scene change to the Galaxy Garrison meeting room.]
Veronica: Supplies are limited. We don’t have enough food to sustain us for more than a couple of months.
Sam: And construction materials? Do we have enough to complete the IGF-Atlas?
Veronica: Negative.
Sam: Quiznak. We can’t give up. Voltron will come. We just need to get supplies and wait out Sendak.
Veronica: Well, there is a supply depot not too far from here. It was abandoned during the initial attack and the Galra haven’t occupied that area yet.
Sanda: But how would we transport the supplies?
Veronica: We could use the underground tunnel system. It’s an older setup from World War III. The trains haven’t been used since, but the tunnels are sound and the tracks are still intact and run directly beneath the base. If we were to send a small team, we could load up supplies onto one of the old trains, repair it, and ride it directly back here.
Sam: What does Galra activity in that area look like?
Veronica: None currently, but judging by the Galra’s movements, that won’t last long. It’s hard to give an exact estimate. Their occupation efforts seem to be focused on major metropolitan areas, but they’re scattering out in what look like random patrol patterns.
Sam: Then our team will have to move quickly.
[Scene change to a hangar.]
Griffin: Okay, I’ll drive.
Veronica: I’m coming with you. Name’s Veronica. I’m an analyst and your handler.
Griffin: We don’t need a handler.
Veronica: Do you know how to get to the depot?
Griffin: Well, no, but, you know, I’ll just use the guidance system.
Veronica: That uses the world communication network. Which, oh yeah, these tunnels were designed to block. And Cadet Rizavi should drive. She has the highest marks with the AW-Cruiser.
Rizavi: I like her.
Veronica: Oh, and shotgun.
Rizavi: I really like her.
Veronica: Left here.
Kinkade: All clear.
Veronica: Right. These tracks are a straight shot to the depot. Let’s get to work.
Rizavi: They left her in pretty good shape. I think we’ll have her running in under an hour.
Griffin: Griffin checking in. What’s your status?
Veronica: Supplies are ninety-five percent loaded.
Rizavi: Rizavi here. Almost done with repairs.
Griffin: We’ve got company, just south of the Cruiser.
Rizavi: Copy. On our way.
Griffin: Our weapons have no effect on them!
Veronica: Go! Get the train running. I’ll hold them off.
Griffin: You two get this thing started. Kinkade, you’re with me.
Rizavi: Train’s up and running. Let’s go.
Griffin: Veronica, get in here! Veronica! What are you doing?
Veronica: Just go!
Griffin: We’re not gonna leave her. Stop the train. No!
Kinkade: She saved the mission. And us.
Rizavi: Does anyone know how to get back?
Leifsdottir: Two lefts, two rights, left, middle tunnel, right, left, and then one more right.
Sam: Thank goodness you’re back. Wait. Where’s Veronica?
Griffin: She… She didn’t make it.
Sam: Her sacrifice will not be in vain. We have a chance now.
Griffin: A chance for what? We just bought ourselves time. What is that gonna do for us?
Sam: Voltron will come.
Griffin: You really believe that?
Sam: Yes. And in the meantime, we need to finish our work on the IGF-Atlas and figure out a way to power it. She’ll be sorely needed when we liberate the planet.
[Scene change the Galra fleet orbiting Earth.]
Sendak: Begin the next phase of the assault. Destroy their communications network.
Hepta: Forgive me for questioning your orders, but why are we cutting off their communications? Do we not want Voltron to hear the distress signal?
Sendak: When you hear an animal crying out in pain, you proceed with caution. Silence promotes haste.
Sanda: He’s destroying all of our satellites.
Sam: He’s cutting off our communication with the outside world. And all we can do is watch.
Hepta: Commander, how should the fleet proceed regarding the last stronghold?
Sendak: Time will conquer them for us.
[Scene change to the Galaxy Garrison meeting room.]
Sam: It seems we will have enough raw material to complete the superstructure for the IGF-Atlas. How’s morale?
Iverson: It’s low. We’re using every trick in the book to keep spirits high, but when the world is in the shape it’s in…
Sanda: If the IGF-Atlas becomes operational, do you think it could defend Earth?
Sam: She’s been outfitted with all our most advanced weaponry, but it’s still just one ship, and an untested one at that. This is Commander Holt, over.
Man: Sir, you’re gonna wanna come to the hangar to see this.
[Scene change to the Galaxy Garrison hangar.]
Sam: Veronica, you’re alive! How?
Veronica: These people saved me. I’ve been working with an underground resistance network. The network is small, but highly mobile, and they’ve gathered a great deal of intel and supplies that could prove extremely useful to us. Their intel even led me to my family. So I led them here. I thought we should be working together.
Sam: Your brother would be very proud of you.
Veronica: Speaking of Lance… have you heard anything? From Voltron?
Sam: No. Not yet. And supplies are getting dangerously low. What you’ve brought will certainly help, but only for so long.
Veronica: I’m afraid I’ve got more bad news to add to that. I have some intel from the resistance network. The Galra have begun to group able-bodied citizens together into work camps. They’re utilizing them for manual labor. Reports indicate that construction has begun on multiple Galran installations around the globe.
Sam: We need to get one last message out to Voltron.
[Scene change to Galaxy Garrison command center.]
Man on PA: Commencing launch in ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four…
Sanda: Let’s hope you’re right about this.
Man on PA: ...three, two, one. Liftoff.
Hepta: Sir, the base has launched a projectile.
Sendak: Destroy it.
Woman: Yeah! We did it!
Sam: He fell for it.
Hepta: I’m picking up a signal. They’re broadcasting. They’re microtransmitters, millions of them, spreading throughout the sector.
Sendak: What are they broadcasting?
Sam on transmitters: To any beings who receive this message, planet Earth has been overrun by Galra. Most of the citizens have been captured. Those of us remaining are making our last stand. If you get this message, please get word to Voltron. We need help.
Sendak: So they do think Voltron will return.
[Scene change to a Galaxy Garrison hangar.]
Sam: Earth has been conquered. We are the last holdout in an evil occupation. And we must face facts. Our supplies are running out. They’ve hammered us and hurt the ones we love. Our backs are completely up against the wall. And nothing makes us more dangerous. We only have enough resources for one last stand. Regardless of the outcome, if we stand united, we will let them know that planet Earth, our home, will not go down without a fight.
[Cut to Voltron.]
Keith: Well, what are we waiting for?
[End.]

Space Rider's Criminal Database: Most Wanted List
File #5628
Caution!!Caution!!Caution!!
Under no circumstances should any Space Rider attempt to apprehend alone. Individual is extremely dangerous. Any information as to systems this individual is currently in or heading to must be turned in immediately.
Name: The Blade
Real Name: Unknown
Affiliation: Prototype Cult
Rank: Knight
Species: Snapping Turtle
Age: Unknown
Appearance: Stands over 6'8 in height. Scared face with slash scar going along the middle of their face. Wearing a archaic mixture of cultist robes and heavy combat armor. Always wears a half mask, with the top half of the mask missing, leaving the lower half with the smile in order to inhale the Red Smoke.
Power's: Not known, but has been documented to be very strong and very durable
Weapon: A large warpick made of condensed Red Smoke
Available Information:
A rare sight among those within the Prototypes Cult. One that focuses less on the religious worship of the cult, and more on the expansion of the cults influence by any means necessary. Their cell acts more like a army than a mob of religious fanatics, coordinated and militaristic, thou Bishops have been observed among the ranks in order to keep the pawns loyalty and fervor going.
Rumors have been heard of the possible story behind The Blade. With one being they were once a planetary warlord or tyrant before the cult took over the planet. Additional investigation needed in order to verify rumors.
Currently responsible for the ongoing conflict within the Shanborto System. Where two of five planet's underwent "Hour of Joy" events, and are now launching attacks on the remaining three planets. Space Rider team's are currently being sent to assist in order to stabilize the situation.
Interrogation of captured cultists have revealed additional information. The Blade appears to hear multiple voices in their head, possibly stemming from constant Red Smoke exposure. The Blade becomes aggressive when the voices are loud or numerous and calms when the voices get quieter.
In addition, The Blade also appears to honor any duel or challenge thrown to them. Be it by ruler, soldier, or citizen, they've always appear to accept the duel, even going so far as to halting ongoing assaults. It is ill advised to duel with the Blade, as there are very few records of any surviving the fight.
There is, presently, only one recorded instances of someone beating The Blade in a duel. In response, The Blade left the planet with their forces, and has since left the planet completely alone. Even executing any pawns or bishops that spoke out against the order.
The reasoning behind this strange behavior is unknown and is currently being investigated.
(Space Rider's au made by @onyxonline)
(Ooooo, what's this? A cultist oc??)

Setting Blurb: Imperial Land Force (Reworked)
Tumblr media
Overview: During the reign of the Second Dynasty, the Imperial Armed Forces was subject to a massive overhaul. The increase in interplanetary travel and construction of orbital infrastructure resulted in the Aerospace Force's "Space" half to be split as the Space Force, and the logistical and organizational Support Service Force was created to consolidate the Armed Forces' military support components. The remaining ground, air, and sea combat arms were consolidated into the Imperial Land Force (the name still irks its Naval and Air components to this day).
The core of Imperial armies have remained the same since the days of Operation JANISSARY, all Soldier households within a geographic region are organized into a Bandon (for Land and Support Service Forces, a Space Force Bandon consists of a Mothership's crew). Bandons are further divided into 3-5 Tumens (CorpEmp's equivalent of a Division), and has smaller independent formations attached. Tumens combine their 25 subordinate battalions into larger, temporary formations known as Maneuver Forces. Maneuver Forces come and go to meet their parent Tumen's needs in a battle space.
Although they form a majority of personnel in the Imperial Armed Forces, Soldier-class personnel do not solely populate the IAF. Worker-class civilians are allowed in if they test into it following their vocational testing (most inductees enter the Support Service Force, with their descendants more likely to enter the Land or Space Forces), and it times of war paramilitary auxiliaries are absorbed into the Land Force's structure. Said auxiliaries range from Worker-class militias, Ruler-class retinues, Priestly warbands, and formations of Soldiers not selected for active duty.
Sphere Army: Consists of all Field Armies assigned to a planetary body/system (Ex: Earth Sphere Army, Mars Sphere Army, etc.). Each Sphere Army is commanded by a Paladin of the order of Imperial Knights.
Field Army: Field Armies consist of at least three to five Bandons and oversee a Viceroyalty on Earth or the and are commanded by a Lord Field Marshall from the order of Imperial Knights. Field Armies are divided into two categories. Garrison Armies are assigned to a particular territory, and Mobile Armies travel across CorpEmp territory to supplement Garrison forces. Subunits within Imperial Field Armies are classified as follows:
Bandon: Bandons, or Banners, consist of all Soldier class households in a region of one or more MacroCommunities. Bandons are commanded by senior Knight Generals from the Imperial Knights.
Tumens: Consisting of twenty-five battalions, attached Support Service Force units, and one aircraft wing, Tumens are commanded by junior Knight Generals.
Maneuver Force: Consists of five battalions (two infantry or armor battalions, two cavalry battalions, and one artillery battalion), Maneuver Forces are ad-hoc formations created as-needed by their parent Tumens. Maneuver Forces are commanded by Colonels or junior Knight Generals.
Independent Maneuver Force: Varying in size, Independent Maneuver Forces (IMFs) operate separately from Tumens and are deployed to resolve issues too small to require a Tumen-sized formation. IMFs are commanded by Colonels or junior Knight Generals.
Independent Air Cavalry Wing: Fixed-wing aerospace assets that are not subordinate to Tumens. Independent and divisional air wings follow the same organization as Space Force orbital assets (See: Orbital Command).
Naval Banner: The descendant of pre-Imperial oceanic navies, Naval Banners consist one carrier squadron (one carrier and two escorts), two destroyer squadrons (three destroyers of the same type), two amphibious assault (marine) brigades, and an attached Support Service squadron.
Battalion: Consist of five comitatus commanded by either a Force Commander or Lieutenant Commander.
Comitatus: Consist of five sergeanties and commanded by a Captain.
Sergeanty: Consist of five squads and commanded by a Lieutenant or Senior Sergeant-at-Arms.
Squad: Consist of ten men-at-arms and commanded by a Sergeant-at-Arms.

---//Astropathic-Transmission//---
---//Origin: Planetary Governer Guyus Luther Goruros Bahara VII//---
The Martyr's Gate has been recaptured, and the walls are holding. The knights of the Honorable House Nox have managed to grind down the Inquisitorial assault for now, giving my PDF troops time to establish fortified positions on the eastern fronts. The Heralds of the Chalice spoke true of reinforcements, with them coming from the Ba'al system no less. We're honored to host the Lord Regent, I only had wished our situation were never as dire to meet the man.
The Heralds and the Templars have lead an assault on the southern front. While the templars were repelled by the Cadian 153rd, however the Perlian 1st, that had previously lead the assault that captured Martyr's Gate, had been pushed back beyond their established staging ground. The Chief Librarians of the Heralds and the Blood Angels investigated the first ground we managed to regain, and made some worrying reports about the presence of the Arch Enemies on my world.
As for the rest of the fronts... The XIVth legion has repelled yet another assault by the Inquisition; despite our hopes that our misguided opponents would aid us a little wile longer in their distraction. The Sororitas contingent has also gotten some reinforcements from Ophelia IV, as the High Abbess was seen on the battlefields fighting against us. Though, despite the confirmed reports of the presence of a High Lord, unlike the several claims that several High Solars are besieging me themselves, Lady Vahl served as a high chance to gain an audience with the High Lords. Unfortunately, we weren't able to establish any contact.
By His golden light, old friend, I beg you expedite the timeframe for the meeting with the High Lords, my people's corpses are already massing in the millions.
The Emperor protects.

Lancer: Hostile Forces
Here are 3 unrelated factions (each consisting of 3 units) for the mecha/pliot table-top role playing game Lancer:
1. Voidborn Oppressors
They used to be humble spaceship salvagers during the war between worlds. Once the war was over, they found themselves to have more military assets than the surviving planet-bound nations. And so they've leveraged their power to regulate all trade and politics across the entire solar system. Anyone who shows defiance to their authority will be crushed with disproportionate force.
Demolisher + Pirate = Wreck Mistress
During the war, arguments over salvage rights were typically resolved in favor of whoever had a Wreck Mistress. It is an intimidating machine traditionally piloted by a cold woman. It incorporates the most terrifying weapons-tech from the war: Slaver Signal, Demolition Hammer, Coreworm Rockets, Seismic Destroyer. These mechs are passed down from mother to favored daughter. Wreck Mistresses were used during the subjugation of planetary nations to butcher both mechs and their pilots in grisly spectacle.
Scourer + Commander = Las-Boss
Using a mecha-scaled laser cutter to disassemble military cruisers requires a steady hand and a keen mind. One miscalculation or twitch of the controls could result in a small nuke going off. During the war there was always demand for a "lascut specialist" for the previously stated reasons. Those who survived long enough in the profession would earn legions of followers and the best berths in any station. These wartime scrap-stars are now looking for opportunities to prove they are still just as hot as their instruments, prior to cooling. They may be accompanied by a Squad or a couple of Assault Grunts serving as groupie-bodyguards. A Las-boss must have the Melt optional system and the Military Discipline trait.
Assassin + Spacer = Boarder
The Boarder MK.I was a standardized powered exoskeleton designed for high mobility and dirty close quarters combat. It's pilots would typically use Thumper Grenades to disable targets, Leap to close the gap, and a Heated Blade to finish them off. The Mk. II was designed for combat on planet surfaces and operating alongside Wreck Mistresses. This new version of the Boarder was equipped with a Gravity Rifle (much needed ranged firepower) and Kai Bioplating (maintaining it's mobility within a gravity well). The MK. III addresses the fact that Boarders were being destroyed by being out-ranged or out-gunned, and so it features a two-fold solution. The Assassin's Mark would give the Boarder some protection from a single attacker. And a Cloud Projector would give it the ability to dodge fire from multiple attackers. During protests against the Voidborn, effigies of Boarders are set on fire and paraded around.
2. Radiovore Colony
These organisms are like a cross between bombardier beetles and nudibranchs, scaled to megafauna sizes. Radiovores naturally produce hyper-reactive chemical substances that they use for a variety of purposes. They are able to do this because they feed on rare metals and radioactive materials which gives them the necessary mutations. Their diet puts them at odds with human mining colonies pursuing the same resources. Both the Nester and the Suitor have the Regenerator and Living Chassis traits from the Exotic template.
Monstrosity = Progeny
Casually classified as being old enough to leave their nest but not mutated yet. They have claws, a corrosive bite, and acid spittle attacks. Progeny use hit and run tactics on prey, while threats are safely melted from a distance. There doesn't seem to be a limit to how old a Progeny can get, ancient ones gain the Regenerator trait.
Pyro + Exotic = Nester
When a Progeny finds high quantities of mutation-inducing materials in a defensible nest, it will become a bloated Nester. It's acid spitting gland becomes a shorter range flamethrower. They use an ability similar to the FIREBREAK Shield to protect their eggs and Progeny. After mating with a Suitor, the nester will start to lay eggs. Radiovore nests filled with eggs generate so much heat they are practically kilns. Nesters have to have burn immunity and the ability to disperse heat in order to survive. As they get near the end of their lives, an old Nester will form a hardened shell (siege armor) over their body.
Seeder + Exotic = Suitor
Progeny that have left their nests, have found low quantities of radioactive material but little shelter, turn into Suitors. These Radiovores spend their time building biomechanical bombs with different kinds of yields and payloads for multiple purposes. At first their explosives are used for the creation of nests and exploratory mining operations. Once a Progeny has taken over a nest and become a Nester, the Suitor's bombs are then used in a courting ritual. The Nester will only mate with a Suitor who presents bombs that are highest-yield/least-stable. To minimize damage, Nesters will instinctively drive suitors far away from the nest. The Suitor has to make and transport their explosives from these remote locations. They may test out delivery routes to a nest with Stun, Sealant, or Shock Mines first before upgrading to the Explosive type. Wait long enough and an exterminator can follow a Suitor back to their nest, but actually tracking it (even in low flying aircraft) can be incredibly risky.
3. First Strike Team
Long range nuclear missiles, "Super-Hacker" NHPs, TBK bioweapon suites. All these human-made horrors need time to arm, aim, and launch. First Strike Teams can neutralize these threats to national security within that prep phase, if deployed accurately and correctly. Because of that big if, FSTs are maintained and commanded by covert intelligence bureaus, to ensure an uninterrupted flow of reliable target data. These teams are subject to less scrutiny than the superweapons they hunt and are only beholden to a bureau's director. Because of this, FSTs are viewed with suspicion by everyone who knows about them. When deployed to a target location, an FST is a frantic collective because they know they've only got minutes to save their world.
Mirage + Ship = Blink-Boat
The purpose of this ship is to get a Ground Team as close as possible to their targets. Blink-boats can teleport from their launch pad to anywhere within a half-lightyear but after that they can only make shorter jumps. That's when their secondary stealth functions are used, to protect itself and passengers from any immediate attacks by defensive. Given how delicate and experimental they are, Blink-boats do not carry any conventional weapons that can backfire on itself. There has been some speculation about what might happen if a blink-boat's launch-pad jump was sabotaged.
Squad = Ground Team
GTs will not leave their blink-boat until they are exactly where they should be. Once deployed, they will overwhelm hostile security with superior numbers and firepower. They are given all kinds of equipment and training depending on which target they are supposed to disable. The gear can range from breaching charges and system hacking tools to 3D maneuvering gear and heavy body armor.
Ace + RPV = Escorters
Durability, mobility, and firepower, these are the three virtues of the Escorter remote piloted vehicle. They deploy and spread out from the underbelly of the Blink-Boat after it has arrived in a target location. These robots will take the hits (which they will occasionally dodge thanks to Barrel Roll) that the rest of the FST cannot. This miraculous semi-autonomous weapon design comes at a horrible cost: Escorters are absurdly vulnerable to electronic warfare. However if one of them was hacked so thoroughly that it fired on the rest of the FST, the blink-boat's e-warfare suite would be able to keep the rest of the team safe.

The Indian system of the nakṣatras (Pahl. xvurdag) with 27 and 28 “asterisms” is similarly attested in Iranian sources. In Ir.Bd II, we find a list of 27 xvurdag; they are generally referred to as the “lunar stations”, with each of them measuring 13° 20'…
With the start of the seventh millennium of the gumēzišn, i.e., the beginning of ‘the period of mixture’ (Ahreman’s assault unto the primordial good creation), the “chiliadic domination” (hazārag xvadāyīh) was given to the Balance (IrBd. V(B).15-17), the sign that represented “the dejection of the dejections” (Pahl. šēbān šēb = Gk. tapeínōma tapeínōmatōn) for the Sun — the astrologically worst place of the Zodiac.
Why? Well, as pictured above, the Balance contains the place of exaltation of Saturn (Kēvān), the most dangerous planetary demon of the heavens, who thus had become the lord of that millennium.

Notes:
IrBd. = Iranian (Greater) Bundahišn.
Pahl. = Pahlavi (Middle Persian).
Gk. = Greek.

Water is essential for all life on Earth. But one-third of the world’s population do not have access to a supply of safe drinking water (a situation that is worsening). A third of all deaths in the world are the results of water-borne diseases. Water is a limited but endlessly renewed resource; its pollution, mismanagement and overuse by corporations, governments and people (turned into ‘consumers’ in a world that is not of their making) threaten to turn a global crisis into a long-term planetary disaster. The Vice-President of the World Bank, Ismail Seregeldin, stated in 1995 that “the wars of the next century will be over water… by the year 2025, the amount of water available to each person in the Middle East and North Africa will have dropped by 80% in a single lifetime”.
Disputes and Wars
40% of the world’s population depend on water from a neighbouring country. Over 200 large rivers are shared by two or more countries. In modern times the existence of vast cities, irrigated agriculture and the demand for hydro-electric power have led countries to claim or steal water resources once used by others. The cutting up of river systems by state boundaries has aggravated the problems of responding to floods. The political and engineering structures that bring economic power and political control to national and international elites also threaten lives and livelihoods. One reason for Turkey’s refusal to grant autonomy to the Kurds is the importance of water resources in eastern Turkey. Attempts to divert the sources of the River Jordan in South Lebanon and the Golan Heights provoked the Israeli-Arab War of 1967. Following this, Israel began to appropriate water supplies to support new settlements and supply towns and industry in Israel proper: Israel annually pumps 600 million cubic metres of water (over 30% of its supply) from aquifers that lie wholly or partly under the West Bank. 115 million cubic metres are allocated to the 1.4m West Bank Palestinians and 30m to 130,000 Jewish settlers; the rest (455 million cubic metres) goes to Israel. West Bank Palestinians have been barred from digging new wells or renovating old ones since 1967. Egypt offered Israel 400m cubic metres of fresh water a year to settle its conflict and assist the Palestinians; but there is still no agreement over water for the West Bank. There is a continuous threat of water wars in South Asia between India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan. Large-scale deforestation upstream results in increasingly widespread flood disasters below. Punjab water was an important contributory factor to the 1965 Indo-Pakistan war. Hindu nationalism has been fuelled by the unfair distribution of India’s water to the Sikh Punjab and led to the storming of the Sikh Golden Temple in Amritsar in 1984.
Modern wars depend on the destruction of the civilian population’s means of life and livelihood. In 1991 in Iraq, for example, the deliberate destruction of power supplies by bombing and war created a huge health problem. Over 90% of sewage treatment plants were disabled with huge amounts of untreated domestic and industrial sewage being pumped into rivers, creating an increase in water-borne diseases. Agricultural production was slashed by the breakdown of the electrically powered irrigation network. Before the Gulf War Iraq produced 30% of its food. Prior to the US-UK assault on Iraq in 2003, the figure was 10–15%.
