I hope they include any surviving footage from Planet 55's attempt to animate The Underwater Menace as a bonus feature on the blu ray.
Also they need to animate The Highlanders before Frazer Hines dies.
So it seems that the classic lost episode animations aren’t going to stop being made after all! I know the original report is from The Mirror, but they’ve been pretty spot on with past animations, so this sounds quite promising.
(not only that, but surviving B&W episodes restored and colorized??)

Mass Effect ask meme: 1, 10, 29, 55, 67, 91
How did you get into Mass Effect?
Honestly, I don't exactly remember how I had found it, but I had been watching some Dragon Age-related stuff when a recommended(?) video of the entirety of Garrus Vakarian's romance and my interest was piqued. So, yeah, you can blame Garrus Vakarian... the personality and voice.
10. Best Shepard Quote?
Hmm, personally it's a tie for me - I absolutely love the way that FemShep's VA (Jennifer Hale) says "I'll relinquish one bullet. Where do you want it?"
Or, the whole exchange during ME3 and Wrex is harassing her over the comms and she shouts "THERE'S A REAPER IN MY WAY, WREX!"
29. DLC: All of it, some of it, or none of it?
Honestly, I played the original trilogy before ME:LE was released and I have to admit, that I love about 90% of the DLC.
ME1: Pinnacle Station (I enjoyed the fight simulations and the off-planet apartment was a sweet deal from it.)
ME2: Lair of the Shadowbroker (Loved the storyline; experienced Liara's romance in one playthrough and I loved that there was more to it, than without DLC.)
ME3: Tie between Leviathan and Citadel DLC (adore the storyline for both and always look forward to it. Citadel crushed me during my Thane romance and having a gathering to celebrate him, as well as the messages he left...)
55. Who would you date if you could? (Not as Shepard)
It would be a tie between Kaidan Alenko and Liara T'Soni - Kaidan is such a sweetheart and we could connect with our chronic migraines and have a great understanding/how to approach the issue. Liara, on the other hand, is extremely loyal to those she loves and is a bit awkward - another thing I can relate with. ^.^
67. Who would you cosplay if you could? (no holds bar)?
If I could, but keeping in mind with issues with certain textures and sensory issues, I'd probably go with Jack.
(If we're going based on height too, I'm 158cm (5'2") and my personal FemShep is supposed to be 5'9" (179cm))
91. Would you watch a live-action Mass Effect movie?
Probably not... I've seen live-action adaptations of certain books I've read (ex: City of Bones / Shadow and Bone / etc.) and 90% of the time, they totally miss the mark. (Shadow and Bone is literally the only one that I genuinely enjoyed and read all of the books, and it was captured amazingly.)
I'd hate to see a studio completely screw up a beloved franchise and tear down what's been created - not only that, I feel like issues would come up because it would come down to this... would it be BroShep or FemShep in the live-action?
thank you so much for your questions and I hope these answers are satisfactory enough! I enjoyed answering them! ^.^

Sandy Saturdays #24:
Fairport Convention's Ballad of Easy Rider
My famous brother is forever riding on my coat tails.
In 76 I arrived on earth. Three years later he copied my ass and showed up on the planet as well. Then in 87 I started collecting Topps baseball cards; he instantly did the same. In 88 I discovered the X-Men; within weeks he was stealing my comics. In 89 it was Tom Petty; a decade later it was incomparably impressive ladies a year ahead of us in school. Thank God the ladies have both put up with us ever since.
25 years have passed but my famous brother is still at it, only now it's my Sandy Denny thing he's copying. Forget the fact that he's had a professional hand in the music journalism game for more than 20 years and I'm 12 months into being a complete hack; Sandy Saturdays is my gig, bro!
And yet there he is on this very fine Friday, stealing my booming, raging, Zeus-like Sandy Denny thunder with a sweet post that links the world at large to a ridiculously cool Fairport Convention bootleg I knew nothing about whatsoever from the days leading up to the band's tragic car accident, the wreckage of which produced the incomparable Liege and Lief.
Here's the recording he unearthed, which is vastly more exciting than anything I can offer you here. Listen, through 55 years of murk, to Sandy stand and deliver on A Sailor's Life; witness the band conjuring up menace and doom for the ship she summons. A sailor's life doesn't sound too merry here; it sounds terrifying and awesome.
youtube
Wow, thank you for this brother. When I left you, you were but the learner; now you are the master.
But let's take a listen to the band's oddjob sequel of sorts to A Sailor's Life recorded just after the bootleg and the subsequent wreck: Richard, Ashley, Simon, Dave, Dave and Sandy had no business recording The Byrds' Ballad of Easy Rider in 1969; it would have stood out on the ancient-music themed Liege and Lief like me at a Trump rally.
But they just couldn't resist taking a pass at a lovely song McGuinn and Co had built around a tossed off Dylan fragment. After all the Byrds had moronically titled the piece and then rushed through it in the studio.
But Fairport knew better. Listen to them explore the song's sweeping, bountiful potential. Ride their patient river all the way to the sea.
youtube
Wow, yeah: that's where I want to be. Why don't bands today take a hint from my brother and get famous by copying this incredible band?

An astrological talisman bearing an image and magical symbols associated with the planet Venus, used to make the wearer well-liked. This talismanic image of Venus is derived from the Picatrix, a Renaissance-era grimoire translated from its original Arabic, first to Spanish, then to Latin, and now to English: "...the shape of a woman with a human body but with the head of a bird and the feet of an eagle, holding an apple in her right hand and a wooden comb similar to a tablet in her left, which has these figures written upon in [the Greek letters OLOIOL]. Whoever carries this image will be well received and esteemed by all." (Picatrix Bk 2, Chapter 10, Paragraph 55, translated by Attrell and Porecca) The back of the talisman bears the Grand Planetary Seal of Venus and the Characters of Venus according to Agrippa.
* Made of solid .925 sterling silver, shibuichi (an art metal alloy made of 3:1 copper:silver), yellow brass, or red bronze. * Available as a coin, with an upeye for use as a pendant, or with three jump rings for use in a rosary-style necklace.
Each piece is hand-made to order in my home studio, with unique variations and defects as a result of the fabrication and casting process.
These talismans are NOT consecrated. That is your responsibility.
Astrological timing and consecration is available with a minimum of 30 days advance notice at an additional charge depending on the difficulty of the election.

So kids... Lemme tell you a tale....
I have been looking for this weird lookin' fella for a number of years.
Many... Many... Years.
I had no idea what it was called. And the search was nearly mind breaking.
"Old Man made of Forest" on the Google gives you every weird Old nature dude thing on the planet.
Except this sneaky fella.
Why?
Because he is not an "Old Man",
He is a "Troll"
and a particular one at that.
Some more back story.
I first saw some of these weird fellas growing up in Vegas in my Grandmother's and my Great Aunt's Houses. I was always fascinated by them. They are completely made of items found in the woods. The body, a small log. Dried cranberries for eyes. Etc...
One day years ago I suddenly remembered the weird looking creature made of the woods from my childhood.
I called my Grandmother and asked her what it was called. She knew exactly what I was talking about but had no dang clue what they were called. She told me their sister, my other great aunt, in Florida had bought them for my Grandmother and their other sister.
So last weekend, at this wonderful antique and oddities store called Good As New that we always find strange treasures at.
I finally saw him.
I told Sheri that, "This fella looks like that forest creature I have been looking for.."
And then did a double take and said,
"I think it is!!!"
I quickly took a pic and sent it to my Mom and called her immediately. She confirmed that yes, indeed, this was the creature I had been looking for!!!
You think I'd won the lottery.
I was so loud and happy in this very quiet store.
So, now he is mine, and I know who he is and where he came from. He was birthed from the woods of Tennessee, handmaid by a family business that has been making them for many years. And...
He is a troll.
And he is now "My" Troll.
Here is a smidgen of info copied and pasted by Yours Truly.
Knud "Ken" Arensbak (1923–1997) was a Danish-born lithographer and artist who, along with his wife Neta (born Agnete), is best known for making fanciful handcrafted figures of trolls in the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee, United States. The family still operates 5 Arts Studio, which makes and sells Arensbak trolls to collectors all over the world.

So my dude is a "Arensbak Troll"
And now my life is complete, and I can die a happy, happy man.

A spate of deals out of MIPCOM Cannes this week indicates there is still life in the global TV market.
Paramount Global Content Distribution inked a multi-year volume deal with beIN Media Group, giving the Qatari-owned group exclusive rights to Paramount’s content library, including acclaimed series like Yellowstone, Billions, new offerings such as NCIS: Tony & Ziva and feature films including Bob Marley: One Love and the Transformers and Mission: Impossible franchises, across the Middle East and North Africa for beIN’s premium Pay TV channels and TOD streaming platform. The deal will see the shows carried in English subtitled in Arabic. Paramount has similar agreements in place with the likes of Streamz in Belgium, MultiChoice in Africa, and JioCinema in India.
Disney-owned Hulu, which on Monday announced its acquisition of StudioCanal’s action series Paris Has Fallen, has also snapped up U.S. streaming rights to Critical Incident, an Australian psychological crime thriller from All3Media International. The series, inspired by creator Sarah Bassiuoni’s experiences as a lawyer in Western Sydney’s juvenile justice system, follows a police officer, played by Akshay Khanna, whose routine patrol takes a tragic turn. Zoë Boe and Hunter Page-Lochard co-star. Critical Incident premiered in August in Australia on Stan. Hulu will launch the series later this year as part of its global rollout.
Over in the U.K., the BBC has acquired The One That Got Away, a six-part crime drama set in Wales, for BBC Wales, BBC Four, and BBC iPlayer. Produced by BlackLight TV, a Banijay UK company, the series was written by Catherine Tregenna (Law & Order UK) and stars Elen Rhys, Richard Harrington, and Rhian Blythe. The psychological thriller follows DI Ffion Lloyd (Rhys) and her ex-lover, DS Rick Walters (Harrington), as they investigate the murder of a nurse in a coastal Welsh town. The case reopens old wounds while raising fears of a copycat killer. The series is an English-language version of Cleddau, an original Welsh-language series for S4C.
Following its successful UK premiere on BBC One, Fremantle has secured global distribution for Nightsleeper, a high-octane drama now set to launch in 147 territories. Key deals include broadcasters like TF1 (France), M-Net (Africa), and Stan (Australia). The series, which has captivated audiences with its real-time thriller format about a sleeper train hijacking, garnered 8.5 million viewers in the UK and strong ratings in France, with episode one capturing a 17.4 percent market share. Created by Nick Leather, the 6-episode series stars Joe Cole and Alexandra Roach.
On the sales end, BBC Studios has announced major deals across Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa for back catalog content, with French/German group Arte.TV acquiring free video on demand rights to period dramas like War & Peace and Les Misérables, and series including Jane Campion’s Top of the Lake. Warner Bros. Discovery’s Max platform added popular titles including Sherlock, Luther, and Misfits, while France’s M6+ took Pride and Prejudice and Sense and Sensibility and Sky Italia added crime series like Luther and Death in Paradise. In Sub-Saharan Africa, SABC secured BBC natural history series including Serengeti II and Frozen Planet II.
The Couple Next Door, a hit Channel 4/Starz series, has racked up global sales for Beta Film, with deals announced in more than 55 territories. Highlights include agreements with RTL Germany, RAI Italy, and Amazon Netherlands, with NBC Universal picking the show up for Brazil/Latin America.
The six-hour drama, starring Sam Heughan, Eleanor Tomlinson, Jessica De Gouw, and Alfred Enoch, was Channel 4’s biggest drama streaming launch. Loosely adapted from the Dutch series The Neighbors, it explores suburban claustrophobia and the consequences of pursuing dark desires.

After 55 years, iconic Doug's Gym in downtown Dallas to see its last weight lifted
"I can remember the day I walked in here," Doug said Monday. "And if you told me I was going to be here 55 years, I'd have ran out of Not much has changed inside Doug's Gym since he bought the gym from National Health Studios in 1962.(Ben Torres / Special Contributor)
A few weeks back, a handful of regulars crowded into Doug Eidd's office for a late-afternoon bull session with the man whose name is on the sign outside the 55-year-old downtown Dallas gym.
I couldn't hear much of what they were talking about — I was strapped into the vibrating-belt machine next to the office, trying to loosen a bum back with the antique once marketed as a weight-loss miracle.
Then, over the din — the clank of the half-century-old weights, the whir of the jiggling machine, the thwack of fists connecting with the punching bag — I could hear Doug loud and clear, his voice a raspy boom bouncing off the sagging pressed-tin ceiling.
"Some people think time doesn't even exist," said the strongman philosopher who presides over a business that looks today as it did when Jack Ruby was still spinning the Carousel Club a few blocks down the street.
I cut off the machine.
"You're proof of that," I told him, marveling, as ever, at the 87-year-old man who moved to Dallas from Corpus Christi in September 1962 to run the Commerce Street gym that withstood countless downtown busts and booms. For the last 20 years, I was sure Doug and his gym would outlive us all.
But one week from Saturday, the unthinkable will happen: He will cut off the lights, walk down those creaky stairs in that narrow corridor, lock the door, and that will be that. Doug's Gym — which opened the same year John Glenn orbited the planet and the Beatles released "Love Me Do" and the U.S. and Soviet Union stared down the Cuban Missile Crisis — will close for good.
And not because Doug wants to shutter his no-frills (and, for that matter, no-air-conditioning) gym, not really. But because he has no choice.
Doug has been operating without a lease for a year and spent the last few weeks in limbo, unsure whether his landlord, in the process of selling the 107-year-old storefront to foreign owners, would let him stay a few more weeks or months or maybe even a year. He discovered in recent days that he has only until March 31.
He is being run out, in part, by downtown's resurrection. Rent, which was $250 in 1962, recently skyrocketed to $3,400 — a hard nut to cover with a shrinking clientele paying around $40 a month for the privilege of working out in a time capsule owned by a grizzled sage tougher and kinder than anyone you will ever know. And surrounding construction has chased off some clients who don't want to tangle with traffic and parking.
The building is too valuable now for what the U.K. version of Men's Health called in 2016 "5,000 square feet of fitness history that may be the most durable monument to physical exercise still extant outside of a museum."
Doug never meant to stay. Fifty-five years later, he can no longer stay.
"I can remember the day I walked in here," Doug said Monday. "And if you told me I was going to be here 55 years, I'd have run out of the building. I woulda run out! I wouldn't have stayed here! I woulda thought, 'I couldn't be in that building 55 years.' But nothing bad ever happened to me here to make me want to leave."
Word began circulating among the regulars Monday that there were just days left; the gym, often sparsely populated these days, was a little more crowded than usual. Regulars said their thank-yous between squats and bench presses; former clients stopped by to take selfies with Doug. We knew about the lease and the landlord. Didn't make the inexorable any easier.
A lot of people are upset you're closing, I told him.
"I know they're upset, but life is made to upset you," Doug said. He laughed, or maybe it was a cough. "I remember when my father died, I was upset. When my mother died, I was upset. So there you go. Life is full of things that make you upset. That's the way it works."
"You made a lot of people look good, and there's nothing sad about that," 59-year-old Victor Zimmerman told Doug during a break in his workout. Zimmerman first came to Doug's about 30 years ago, weighing 130 pounds after a bout with testicular cancer. Doug helped him put on weight, build muscle, regain his confidence.
"This man has given me really good advice — financial, romantic," Zimmerman said, speaking for all of us fortunate to have spent time under Doug's tutelage. "He's been a mentor since I was in my 30s. Helped me keep my head on straight."
The gym's demise was always inevitable. Doug ran the business alone for all of its 55 years — counted every penny and every rep. The longest he ever closed was the one week after his wife died shortly before Doug turned 70. For a moment, he considered shuttering the gym then. Coming back, he said this week, was a hard decision.
"But when you sit down and contemplate on it, you realize you have to continue the life," he said. "So I chose the other."
But now the choice has been made for him. There will be a public farewell for him on March 31 at the gym. Then he will spend a week clearing out the place. Doug will sell some of the equipment to clients; the rest he will take to his home in Hurst, where he plans to build a backyard gym.
On Monday, we sat in his office talking about the end of Doug's Gym. I reminded him of that comment he'd made about time not existing. He smiled, said he meant it. Absolutely.
"The [last] day I walk down the stairs, it'll be 55 years — like nothing, like it never happened," he said, puffing on a nub of a cigar. "Looking forward is an enormous amount of time. Looking back, it's nothing. It means nothing. The time goes like that."
And one week from Saturday, so will Doug's Gym. Like that.

Helldivers 2 Patch Includes Fire Tornadoes, Meteor Showers, Mission Changes, Bug Fixes, And More

Helldivers 2 Patch Includes Fire Tornadoes, Meteor Showers, Mission Changes, Bug Fixes, And More
Developer Arrowhead Game Studios has released the first major patch for Helldivers 2, and it adds additional environmental challenges to the game alongside mission changes, updates to weaponry, bug fixes, and more. It’s live as of this morning and arrives less than a day after the team teased the incoming arrival of mechs as usable vehicles for players.
Perhaps the most exciting aspect of Minor Patch 01.000.100 is the addition of new environmental challenges that appear at random on many of the game’s various planets. Arrowhead says that includes fire tornadoes, meteor showers, “and many more.” The other big change affects Eradicate missions, which task helldivers with killing a specified amount of bug enemies in a small area. Eradicate missions now require more kills and enemies spawn more often, but the time to complete these types of missions is longer.

Other changes in Minor Patch 01.000.100 include a decrease to the Breaker’s magazine capacity (with increased recoil, too), decreased armor penetration for the Railgun, and more damage per second for the flamethrower.
Here’s a full rundown of weaponry changes:
Breaker: Decreased magazine capacity from 16 to 13, increased recoil from 30 to 55
Railgun: Decreased armor penetration in Safe Mode, decreased damage against durable enemy parts
Flamethrower: Increased damage per second by 50%
Laser Cannon: Increased damage against durable enemy parts, increased armor penetration, improved ergonomics
Punisher: Increased total ammo capacity from 40 to 60, increased stagger force, increased damage from 40 per bullet to 45 per bullet
Breaker Spray & Pray: Increased armor penetration, increased fire rate from 300 to 330, increased number of pellets from 12 to 16 per shot, decreased magazine size from to 32 to 26
Energy Shield Backpack: Increased delay before recharging
380mm and 120mm Orbital Barrages: Increased duration of the bombardment, decreased spread
This update arrives after the official Helldivers 2 X account (formerly Twitter) teased the arrival of Mechs. However, despite the tease, we still don’t know exactly when to expect these machines to hit the battlefield – it sounds sooner than later though!

Imagine Earth colony simulation game is now available on Linux, Steam Deck, with Windows PC. This progress is a direct result of the tireless effort and unwavering support from the team at Serious Bros. Available on Steam and heavily discounted on Humble Store. Serious Bros., an indie studio, has just released the environmentally friendly strategy colony simulation, Imagine Earth with native support. It's available to play on Linux, Steam Deck, and Windows PC. Originally launching on May 25, 2021, with praise for being an eco-friendly title. This a unique title, since you become the manager of a space colony, with a mission to take care of it while dealing with climate change. You have to make sure your colony has enough resources and energy to survive. You'll also need to trade with other colonies, research new tech, and make alliances. There's also a real-time battle going on, and it's all about creating a sustainable future. Imagine Earth started its journey back in May 2014 when it first entered early access. Since then, it has been getting better and better with updates almost every month. Finally, it had its big release, and the final update was huge. There are also has some exciting features that make it exciting to play. One important thing to keep in mind is your carbon footprint. On Earth, there was an ecological collapse, and you have to make sure it doesn't happen to your new home. If you don't keep your emissions low, you might have to deal with rising sea levels and crazy weather events.
Imagine Earth Trailer 2022
youtube
The game lets you explore different planets in real-time, build colonies, and trade resources. There is a story campaign that takes place on multiple planets. A "competition" mode where you face off against five enemy factions, and "endless" mode with never ending challenges. The Planet Editor lets you can create your own buildings and shape the planet. But it's not all peaceful. You'll have to defend your colony from invading aliens, space pirates, and swarms of locusts. You can get support from other colonies and traders from various galaxies. Trade shares or even use tricky economic strategies to be the richest and most powerful planet.
What's new in update 1.12?
The Imagine Earth dev's want to create a new game mode. This new mode will offer a unique twist. So, instead of starting from scratch, players be on a planet already full of cities. While assuming the role of rebuilders and improvers. However, there's a catch, the planet is on the brink of climate change, with emissions passing livability. So now every expansion choice must consider the need for emission changes through reforest and other methods. On the bright side, players can use existing buildings and technology, carefully optimising them. Balancing the planets in this new mode ensures challenging gameplay. So, in Imagine Earth colony simulation, you'll also learn about protecting and dealing with climate change. It's not available on Linux, Steam Deck, and Windows PC. Priced at $24.99 USD / £20.99 / 24,99€ on Steam. But still discounted by 55% on Humble Store.

Whoever carries this image will be well received and esteemed by all."
