Hi, I love reading your blog and opinions as a Jikooker who likes to be rational, and I remember you saying Jikook would have to pull off something really radical for you to believe they are together now (I was of the same opinion, bc even though I believe they def had sth in the past, this year they seemed off to me). However, the enlistment thing was an uno reverse card for me and I'm still baffled about the entire thing and the background of their efforts to enlist together (along with Japan trip, but Japan trip alone wasn't enough for me tbh), so my question to you is what do you think about them enlisting together and practically being attached at the hip for the next 18 months, as well as choosing one of the hardest divisions just so they could be together?

JM and JK enlisting together both shocked me and didn't surprise me at all. I know it doesn't make any sense, but it is how I feel. On one hand, it makes perfect sense that they would go together, considering they were always attached to the hip through the years, and I definitely hoped that they would somehow end up being in the same place, but with how things looked in the beginning of the year, I sort of had that possibility crossed out.

They had to have started the process of applying for the buddy system somewhere during the summer, but obviously, they had to have discussed it way in advance. It goes to show how much we all know about their real private lives and what the members are up to in their time off camera.

I still think at the beginning of the year, they didn't see much of each other for a few months, but I don't know what that means for their relationship. Were they ever together? Is it possible that they always were just very close friends? Was JM just too busy then?

I don't want to sound unreasonable or delusional, but more and more I am starting to believe that their avoidance of each other on camera might have been completely intentional, especially if they always knew they would enlist together.

He's just... spiritually... a little guy... and an idiot

Thoughts on Mr. Joestar. Many. Tbh I feel like the Joseph I use in find has kind of derived from the canon Joseph a bit but um. Go himbo go!

He has one(1) braincell and it only activates when his adrenaline kicks in. Said single braincell either creates the best plan known to man or some very, very stupid prank. Doesn't run away from anything, unless running away is a part of the Plan™

Looks intimidating at first until you get to know him. Actually super chill... ok, not chill, more like, an absolute trickster. The kind of person who's hard to hate (even if you're a god knows how old pillarman)

Love his chaotic yet soft energy and would also punch him in the face. And also also give him a blanket and a hot chocolate. He probably hides negative emotions under a facade.

Also I think abt his family situation and how he probably feels the need to fill in the shoes of his grandpa Jonathan so instead he tries his best to do everything opposite of him... but still has that Joestar spark that, in the end, makes him more similar to his oldman then he realises. And, despite the tough guy facade, he tends to emphasise with the enemy and just hates the concept of death in general.

Probably got his cunning from his mother and his heart from his father. Also, his love of detective content like Sherlock Holmes probably came from his father, Jorge, and his adventures as a detective for a while. Probably can also get quite shy over certain topics, much like Jorge, but it's rare. Again, Joseph doesn't realise any of this.

He ends up in most of my fics because he's just a fun character to have in a story, even if he's not the main character. Shares similar energy to Sonic. I have way, WAY too many AU versions of Joseph (to the point of having a chart that is all over the place)

5. Yuji protecting Fushi and not returning to his friends

Very, very, very solid argument. I know I said that yuji hasn’t acknowledge that Megumi is willing to risk a lot of things for him but I appreciate him for doing what’s best for Megumi. Away from Sukuna. Yuji and Megumi has this guilt that’s been going on since they first met. They both want to protect each other but their way of protecting each other is different.

If I was in Yuji’s position I would’ve done the same. He already blames himself for a lot of things but I think he knows Fushi better and his friends that they know it’s not Yuji’s fault... it’s the fine ass curse fault for acting up. But still he wants to protect them. Understandable! I think if they give us a couple of more chapters we will see how things are. Remember, Choso told Yuji to go if he wanted to but he chose to stay for a very logical reason. Yuji’s friends are so damn important to him.

Also, I am very glad that my question had been answer about if yuji knows that Sukuna wants something from Fushi. Sukuna is evil... not Kurama evil but that mf is evil. We all have our theories that hes gonna use Megumi’s powers to help him. However, Megumi won’t slide. He’s probably gonna use his sister and Yuji against him. Which sounds about right to me becasue I know I would if I wanted something lol!

But one thing that I notice that is always going to be in the back of Yuji’s head is that saying that Fushi told him when they got into that one time argument. I really do hope that when Fushi and Yuji meet up they can finally talk. I know I’ve been waiting for them to have that closure and that never ending guilt that both of them have for each other, like, please... give us closure from our boys! 😭

Other than that this was a good fucking chapter. I love that we get to see the second ark rise tbh like it gets my stomach all twisted and shit 😭

One word: chaos

Everyone met up in the early morning outside the gym

of couse noya was talking to tanaka in his stoic voice like: “ryu, we must protect kiyoko-san and ya-chan from all the dirty eyes today,” while tanaka was kneeling in front of him like that one scene at the training camp bbq with yamamoto 

Things were actually, surprisingly calm, that is until Hinata rolled in with his volleyball

puppy mode activated. he kept nagging kageyama to toss for him right then and there in the parking lot while everyone just sighed all around

Daichi had to stop them from breaking into the gym to play before it was time to go even though Suga and him had the keys

Tsukishima was obviously grumbling about how annoying they were and how much energy they had with Yamaguchi and yachi beside him

On the way there: everybody. Knocked. Out. It took a couple hours and it was early so might as well catch some z’s

It was quiet like on the way to matches or wherever as a team

When there was about an hour left before arriving, everyone slowly woke

Chaos ensued near the back with the first years plus nishinoya and Tanaka playing uno, the other second years chilling and watching

While the third years just vibes toward the front

Occasional yells, glares, and threats sent from daichi when they were too loud

Nishonoya was winning the game of course, cheering the others on while feeling like a god 

Hinata said uno reverse and was the one calling Kageyama boke for not getting a grasp of the game

he also sent a lot of skips and plus cards his way to piss him off even more

Hinata honestly almost died. the amount of times kageyama grabbed his skull made everyone wonder how his skull hadn’t been split yet

The bus ride was honestly really funn despite hinata almost dying at kageyama’s hand~

Hinata was of course the first one to notice the ocean after placing second in the game after yachi followed by tsuki, Tanaka, yamaguchi, noya, and finally kageyama losing

after finding a good spot, everyone got out and hinata and kageyama practically bolted, their swimwear already on and other clothes shoved into their bag 

tanaka and noya were also almost like them. keyword almost. but as soon as they spotted another man, they were guarding yachi and kiyoko already 

everyone else grabbed their belongings and slowly made their way toward the general area where kageyama and hinata had dropped their own belongings and were already diving into the water 

the entire day was filled with fun 

lots of swimming, playing all sorts of games in the sand

especially beach volleyball in the sand courts there were 

even here, despite the ground being completely different from the normal gym floors, kageyama and hinata’s energies were drained, everyone’s were but they were of course still going at it 

soon it just became a one on one 

everyone watched from the side, relaxing under the sun

tsuki brought a book of course but he also just vibed with the music, in charge of the aux 

tsuki, yams, and yachi were sat near the shore at the edge where the water came right at the edge, the two of them looking at the little crabs and seashells while tsuki just sat and watched, observing with the two sane people he actually liked out of everyone else 

kiyoko helped takeda and ukai grill some food as the sun set, setting up food for everyone to eat 

daichi, suga, and asahi went to a market area around and brought back bags of drinks and ice for the cooler 

as the day went on, the beach cleared leaving just the team 

everyone gathered around the firepit eating their dinners, laughing about the season and funny moments and memories

they never wanted the day to end, the memories to end 

Shiratorizawa: 

things were actually super chill 

the beach days were the one day they could all truly relax and not give a care about anything in the world 

the bus ride there wasn’t too long and everyone just did their own things

some got shut eye, some listened to music 

tendo read his shonen jump like the king he is as ushi gazed outside, his eyes fixed on the crops, sighing in satisfaction at how good the soil was this year akjsdhjaks

everybody else just vibed tbh 

goshiki sat behind ushijima of course, sometimes making conversation with shirabu beside him 

semi listened to his music, taking up a whole pair of seats since the bus was large enough for there to be a lot more vacant seats even with the team riding it 

getting there, the beach was somewhat full but no bother 

a few already had gotten changed/ most already had their trunks on on the bus 

you already know that as soon as these men were already walking down the beach to a vacant spot, they were catching the attention of numerous people 

they caught even more when they took off their shirts akjsd

of course ushi being the most built and drooled over, everything, all the comments and even a few whistles from older women went right over his head or even in his ear and out the other

tendo, ushi, semi, and goshiki helped open a tent, burying the poles deep into the sand 

everyone paired off and put on sun screen on each other’s backs of course 

there was some playing in the water but it was the volleyball team 

of course they were going to play 

ushijima first watched this group play and ended up subbing in 

it was a lot different for him but he got the hang of it since there wasn’t anything about this he couldn’t handle 

literally almost broke someone’s nose playing askdja and then gradually, it became the team’s court 

it was a mix of fun while also being serious and each side trying to win 

the sand itself was definitely a different feeling for them than the gym floor but it was a lot more fun to dive around and just being free

goshiki got buried by tendo and reon 

they gave him b00bies and wouldn’t let him go despite all his cries, talking about feeling something pinching his feet 

washijo told him to suck it up askdjh

tbh seeing all these tall bois intimidated the hell out of the kiddos there but it was all fun and no one cried ah ha ha 

when it was emptier, semi pulled out his speaker and played his bops his mixtape 

but the day was mainly filled with beach volleyball and when things got intense, people actually started to gather and watched and some even wanted to sub in

that is until they saw ushi’s bone breaking smeck 

to relax, tendo and ushi actually laid beneath the sun getting their tan on

around sunset, to let off some steam, the team walked along the boardwalk 

of course, catching the eyes of almost everyone since they didn’t really wear shirts- well they did but more like muscle tanks that showed off their tanned and toned arms 

and their shorts were very similar to they volleyball ones that showed off their thunder thighs 

they went into shops and tendo got everyone to try on the wacky shirts and fun glasses, snapping some pics for fun 

goshiki tried to act v mature for some reason but let himself go when he glanced over to see ushijima with his stoic face wearing heart sunglasses and a rainbow sombrero that tendo and semi had put on him 

everyone lost it akjsdajhds

the day ended with a nice dinner out at the end of the pier and then a calm bus ride home with their own bags of goodies

First, I'd like to start by saying Horikoshi is a genius. I'm proud to say he's one of my favorite Mangakas of all time. I've been following the current arc since April and all it's given me is expresso depresso every time I look up the new leaks every week.

Second, I absolutely have no idea or theory about how the Heroes, most especially, our Class 1-A babies and other kiddos who participated in this war is going to be able to bounce back from this. Seeing permanently disabled heroes, the funerals, the trauma, Hawks and Endeavor being exposed for their past, and people will 100% think differently of the Hero Society after these events (makes me wonder why they livestream the entire war like it's some reality show or smthg I never really liked that part and understood why it was necessary. Like imagine people watching at home and seeing some heroes decay and die it's really messed up) There's just going to be a lot of consequences and although the heroes may be victorious for now, the villains still got their taste of victory with all the loss and the sacrifices that the heroes made. The Meta Human Liberation Movement most probably got a lot of exposure too and I'm not surprised if people are going to use their quirks freely for God knows what after all that has happened. Anyway Shiggy k wording AFO in the next arc pls 🥰 it's what he deserves.

OK ENOUGH OF THAT AND ON TO CLASS 1-A

There's a lot to unpack and I don't want to make this thread longer than it already is but sometimes I think we forget that most of our beloved anime characters are teenagers fighting some Ultra Super Mega Lord Deus Ex Machina Demon with the power of friendship. I get that it's not important in other series but what I love about BNHA so much is that it constantly reminds you that these characters you know and love so well are children. Teenagers. They are 15 at the start of the series and then 16 by this arc. They have big dreams, aspirations, and all they truly want is to become a hero of society. The amount of tragedy and chaos they experienced is just something I can't even comprehend. The character development and the emotional maturity that the main characters have received. (Special mention to Bakugo, Kirishima, Midoriya, Todoroki, Ilda, Ochaco, Momo, and Tsuyu) is amazing and seeing all of these characters grow in a span of a few seasons and 200+ chapters melts my heart. Class 1-A, The Big Three of UA, Class 1-B and every other child who participated in the war is going to struggle. They're most likely going to question what they're truly fighting for and what's right and wrong. This will affect them not only physically (due to their injuries) but also mentally. As the preview for Chapter 297 says, "The worst is not over yet." I like to think of this preview as alluding to the aftermath of the war. Not exactly another devastating event about to take place. (Not unless Horikoshi does an uno reverse card on us and makes the characters suffer again then HNGGG)

I just hope my three best boys are safe and recovering. I am ready to fight Horikoshi if ever anything else happens. I do not want to see Mina, Kirishima and Momo cry ever again and I don't want to see Izuku's injuries like that ever again or else 😤

TLDR; This is why BNHA is and forever will be one of my favorite anime of all time. It's not just your typical shonen (with a lot of people complaining that there's a lot more talking than fighting) because it just doesn't focus on the action and the cool fight scenes. Rather, it focuses on both of those things along with the characters and their development, and the now morally grey line between the ideals of the hero and the ideals of a villain.

I'm in awe at how much the series has come so far and I can't wait for more (highkey ready to cry now too tbh)

Lastly, RIP to a positive representation of a Femme Fatale in Anime and Manga. ☹️

You think ed would've traded himself for al at the end if al hadn't successfully brought HIM back just before? When his only prior knowledge of what the attempt would yield was the homunculi (who he was trying Really Hard to know as monsters and nothing else)? I mean, yeah he couldn't face life without al and an end to their journey where mom was dead twice over and his little brother gave himself for him and hey lil kicker is ed has all his lost limbs that he never really cared about returning in the first goddamn place. But would he have basically tried to kill himself in this SPECIFIC way if he himself hadn't been resurrected, albeit with the use of a Philosopher's Stone ie thousands of human souls concentrate versus his Literally Only One?

Like what was going on in his head, that he was able to after sloth? Did he fear bringing back his younger brother as a homunculus like their older brother long before them? On the other side of the gate, not knowing if Dante is still out there, if roy killed pride or died trying, if his attempt worked and al returned, did he ever worry that al might have returned or if Ed had brought another homunculus into his world in his place?

I hope im understanding your ask correctly. Suicide tw regarding Ed’s final sacrifice.

If Ed had not died and so Al had not brought him back and was instead used successfully by Dante (whichh eugh horror story right there, i rec’d a Bad End dark horror fic a while back about if Dante succeeded and tbh I think its the most plausible outcome as fucked up as it is) then i quite honestly think Ed is completely doomed. (This isn’t just me being angsty, this is legitimately what I think would happen, like, logically.)

He’s traumatized beyond all hell and the situation is not in his favor: he’s a wanted criminal blamed for everything in Liore and he definitely blames himself as well, his worldview has come crashing down and even if he had that resolve of “even if its not true ill still believe that hard work and suffering pays off” in London, it would be blown to bits as soon as he finds out Al is gone, and that he failed him, and his last moments with his brother were them fighting each other on killing Sloth. Envy is also there, and can overpower a distraught Ed with ease. Any taunts that didn’t work on Ed in the original fight scene would probably be very effective. And Dante is there in Rose’s body because Ed failed her, too.

Al would have been turned into a Philosopher’s Stone, so Ed’s only shot is getting his hands on that. But again, if he fights to get a hold of it, he’s fucked. Dante and Envy combined and with Envy’s “im Hoe’s son” reveal still in his back pocket I think Ed would get killed before he could do anything with the stone.

Hypothetically if he got the stone, I don’t think separating Al is possible (assuming Al’s soul is even There) and I like to think Ed wouldn’t throw out all the lessons he just learned and use it anyway. No matter how broken he is he still has grown up a lot and I don’t think he’d backtrack on his conversation in the car about not using the stone. I think he would drive himself crazy trying to figure out how to get Al back, but because of his growth throughout the series he’d eventually accept the shitty outcome and move on. In CoS, he was left without any closure on his brother too, and he was hella depressed but still surviving. In this scenario he’s at least in Amestris with tons of people who love him and who will advocate for his innocence and help him process his grief like he has never been able to properly before.

So with this hypothetical situation where he gets away from Dante and Envy and is able to defeat them, no I don’t think Ed would do what he did in the OG end (sacrificing himself to bring Al back) if Al had not sacrificed himself for Ed. Mainly because I like to believe Ed has grown enough to move on and that there’s still hope for him even in this sucky scenario, and the circumstance in the og to cause him to NOT do that were just...very specific.

So why Ed makes the decision to die and not accept death despite his growth: the crucial part in my opinion is that Al sacrificed himself and used the stone (and Ed was successfully brought back). Both things they agreed they’d never do. I can only speculate exactly what was going through Ed’s head, beyond what he tells the audience (“this might not work but i have to at least try”). I think Al proved human transmuation is possible under the right circumstances (a body, the soul not having completely left yet, and a proper payment). So Ed knows it’s possible, and is willing to sacrifice everything, even if it goes against his development of accepting death and loss and not fighting the flow of the world because it causes harm when you selfishly pursue what you want, because Al had gone against everything they learned as well. And Al is Ed’s moral compass and everything he does is for Al.

If Al died, Ed would not do something morally questionable (sacrificing himself or someone else, defying the flow of the universe and turning your back on the world and the consequences of your actions to get what you want) to bring him back. But since Al himself did something morally questionable that even Ed would disagree with and say is wrong (which btw I bet Ed was like “shit how badly did i fuck up my little brother to make him do something like that”), I think standards are out the window and Ed is really just gonna pull the uno reverse card since Al played dirty so he’s gonna play dirty. At least that’s how I personally interpret Ed’s decision.

Ed also in general has a LOT to blame himself for in that moment, including EVERYTHING that happened to Al. So...I don’t think he’s thinking clearly enough to truly consider the possibility of making a homunculus. He really intended to die there and was content with the possbility of failing. It WAS an act of suicide imo (because honestly...how was he going to live with himself at that point...everything that happened to him and to al he could easily justify as his fault. he was well aware that sacrificing himself could amount to nothing but was fine with dying), just with an excuse that he might get something out of it.

I don’t think he ever considered that he made a homunculus, because he says he saw Al’s body get put together at the gate and I’m just gonna assume he saw the soul as well with how he worded it as “put together.”

You can also argue that by going through the gate three times by that point (and two of those times just recently) he had extra knowledge and more control over the transmutation to make it successful.

Or you could say my conspiracy theory that Al at the end of the series/CoS IS a homunculus that was just made really really well djsjd but that’s something I refuse to actually believe and I doubt the writers want us to believe that.

I usually work out, have my coffee and some breakfast (and then probably forget to eat again until 10pm) and then proceed to procrastinate on my schoolwork until the last minute by scrolling through social media, singing and dancing along to my music while I clean (seeing a mess stresses me out unless it’s my organized mess) catching up on my anime/tv shows, or focusing on one of my hobbies (drawing, reading, writing, playing the piano). I work from home so tbh if I don’t have a job or school that day, my plans usually revolve around my mood. The only set schedule in my life is the fact that I somehow manage to end up at target 2x a week. Pre-pandemic though, every Friday and Saturday I’d usually end up going out with to a bar/restaurant/club/movies to catch up with a friend(s) but I hate driving and I “drive too fast”according to everyone so I just go with the flow when it comes to the place and time I leave/get home 🦑

What I want from a relationship: reliability (just someone you can depend on yk?), freedom (as in-we can both do our own thing without feeling like we’re holding the other back), playfulness? Ig? (Where it’s effortless and we don’t take life too seriously, we can joke about things as they come, type of thing)

What qualities I look for: loyal, caring (they don’t have to outwardly express it), thick skinned

Extra information: I mayhaps tend to not hold back if I don’t agree on something and i will not hesitate to put someone in their place no matter who they are (unless they’re family because trauma lol) but I’m also the type of person who has and will bring animals home (because they were strays, or they were ‘practically giving them away’) and I will seriously 🥺 my way into getting whatever I want, so I usually tend to gravitate towards guys who have the ability to be assholes, but not to me, unless they need to keep me in check (idk if this helps)

Congrats, now you have a sleep hangover!

Your relationship with Megumi is one that is built on mutual trust. You both have your own lives and aspirations, which is fine! You are both supportive and understand that to be together doesn’t mean to be literally together 24/7.

He will be by your side, dancing along with you and probably singing into a spatula! He’ll always end up accidentally wooing you, because he’s a smooth little shit. But that means getting things done with him around is quite difficult!  

Your friends would absolutely love him too! When they first meet him they’ll probably be like.. oh pretty face, must be dumb af. BUT shocker shocker! Oikawa Tooru is not a big ol’ dummy and he’s quite smart. I mean he better be, to keep up with you!

Whenever you guys choose to go out drinking, he’ll usually be the one to stay sober, since he will nOT have you drive him. NOPE. He refuses. If he can’t handle it when he’s sober, he sure as hell will not handle it drunk!

Overall, your relationship would be one that is fun, and filled with banter. The two of you will be the one couple everyone finds hella amusing. But that means communication will not be a strong suit.

You guys will have some issues with communication, but thankfully that can be fixed! Since you’re not someone to hold back. He’ll need that from you, because sometimes he gets lost in his emotions!

And at the end of the day, it’s worth it ya know? Because he cares so much about you, and you two just kinda work! Who else would accept all the random animals that you bring home, anyway? 😉
