The first thing Descole does after being revealed is just insulting Jakes. This is why I love this guy.

Okay now Descole, you're feeling frustrated because you spent about a year digging around the entire town, and battling a giant sea creature, and acting as a butler, and scheming and blackmailing and all that, and now thanks to Layton all those time and efforts were for nothing. Anger is a perfectly valid sentiment of course, but let's not do anything rash, okay? Take deep breaths, reflect on your emotions, take a walk in the woods perhaps and--

What are your headcanons for PL characters in the years following Layton and Luke’s disappearance?

For example, when Alfendi got promoted to inspector, I think Chelmey finally resigned from Scotland Yard. Chelmey claimed he wanted to dedicate more time to his wife but also he couldn't bear the thought of working another minute with Alfendi Layton. (Chelmey wishes he was more like Hershel.)

Another example… Dr. Schrader, the eternal bachelor, had a close brush with death during an investigation (possibly searching for Layton). Schrader survived but had to get his leg amputated. He’ll constantly change the story of how he lost his leg

Another example… Janice Quatlane opened her own school of music.

It doesn’t have to be related to LMJ or Layton’s disappearance at all

About the NPCs:

Ghent is a thug who works for Descole. His hobby, however, is making teddy bears.

Otherwise known as: ゲンツ (Japanese); Gent (German); Kent (Spanish)

Grosky is an inspector working with Scotland Yard. He has a tendency to rush into things.

Made a quick sketch in celebration of Descole’s sexy man sweep! I love my boi despite knowing almost nothing lore wise!! RIP Grosky and Layton tho, I had my hopes for those two as well <3

So I was digging through more files in AL and there’s a WHOLE array of pixel-themed pl characters. I don’t remember where you can see these in the game, and it has to be possible because i saw somebody do a des minecraft build with the same idea and pose, but it’s nice to discover!

(i adore how grosky is running like that cop from chance of meatballs)

Proposal for a sexywoman contest (Des won the sexyman tournament fair and square) but Alfendi is a candidate cause he's a drama queen (and he can finally have his one round victory)

Already said this before, but the reason I won't make a Sexywoman tournament is simply because not enough female pl characters are really qualified for it.

The only Layton Characters who I think fit at enough requirements are Emmy, Darklaw and Diane.

Even counting Al, that still only makes four.

And as much as I love Katia, Angela e.t.c., they really aren't made for this role.

And I know that in the Sexyman tournament we had Characters like Henry or Grosky, who also don't fit enough requirements, but the majority of the participants were still worthy of their title.

We had 12 characters who fit into at least three or more categories

Clive, Descole, Bloom, Diane, Randall, Don Paolo, Darklaw, Anthony, Emmy, Dimitri, Alfendi

And 5 who didn't (at least in my opinion)

Barnham, Layton, Clark, Henry, Grosky

If I did Sexywoman, the ratio would be 3 (4 counting Al) to 13. That's just not enough competition, and also the reason why I allowed these three to be send into the qualification round.

Of course this doesn't mean that I will stop any of you from making this yourself, and I will happily reblog the voting posts on here if you do, but personally, I don't really see it.

But, best I could do is something like "professor layton and the best girl"

I’ve been thinking of Pandora’s Call Au, specifically the inspectors.

Since the Au is a mix of Spectre’s Call and Pandora’s Box, it could have either Grosky or a helmet (and Barton).

On one hand, Grosky running around Folsense would be pretty funny, especially with the addition of the Spirit’s scares.

But on the other, I can’t see him snatching evidence away from Layton or accusing Sammy of stealing the box from Dr Schrader.
