Unit Premis Swap Au

The girl who can't stop making Aus is making another gd au! This one's a semi-swap au, let me explain.

The unit Premis Swap au (Inspired by Zhavari's VBS Nightcord at 25:00 au on AO3, go check them out) is exactly what it says on the tin, the units of Project Sekai all swap premises. Think like Wonderlands x Showtime, as childhood friends who promised to start a band together but drifted apart, rather than a group of Disneyland cast members. I tried to keep them as true to their characters as possible.

So, to start, here are the new unit descriptions:

Virtual/Singers: a group of six childhood friends separated by time who reunited and started a band to enjoy what time they have left together. Leader Hatsune Miku. Their sekai is the park sekai, and their starting Leonid singer is Ichika Hoshino.

Wonderlands x Showtime: A unique idol group with a focus on acting out skits composed of one girl with a dream and three people who have given up on theirs. Leader Emu Otori. Tsukasa is still the creator of their beach sekai. Their starting Leonid is Saki Tenma.

N25: A group of girls inspired by their circumstances to band together and surpass a legend. Their leader is Ena Shinonome. Mafuyu is still the creator of their meadow sekai. Their starting Leonid is Mochizuki Honami

More More Jump!: An independent musical theater troupe that travels the country and performs shows that give hope to the audience. Their leader is Haruka Kiritani. Their Sekai is the polar Sekai, and their Leonid is SHIHO.

vivid BAD squad: A group of lost souls who come together to make music at 1:00 AM. Their leader is Kohane Asuzawa. Their Sekai is the Ruined Sekai, and they have no starting Leonid.

The Leonids: a group of virtual singers who are entrusted with the feelings of the sekai-holders.

Unit Leader Swap Au: Ichika Hoshino!

I posted an au concept as a response to an ask on my Pjsk au side blog, where the five unit leaders are the leaders of different units. And I really liked that idea, so I decided to take a crack at some au unit designs for them. First on our list is Ichika Hoshino, leader of Nightcord at 25:00.

I probably won't do anything else with this au aside from these visual designs, because I do not have the motivation to actually think about all the ramifications of this, let alone write anything about them, but I hope you like this much at least.

Minori is gonna be up next. Not sure when I'll finish her design- probably in a few days at least- but I'll try to have her posted eventually, lol.

I just want to make my own swap unit au with my fav characters. I have been working on their designs to change their hairs and clothes from the canon. This is the first group that I make and there is second group that I will introduce soon.

(The shipping will be mainly about Akikoha and Mizurui but it can switch around within this group)

HELLO? UH I CAN DROP SOME LORE FOR COLORSPREE heh. Character descriptions and relationships. Shizukus arent done but i can add on later

Nene Kusanagi:

     The leader of ColorSpree although she isnt that confident she still has a passion for performing. She looks upto Haruka Kiritani alot, seeing how she performs on a stage inspires her to be just like her. She comes off as brash and rude at times but she means well. She’s quite introverted and only feels comfortable around her group mates. 

    She formed the group after going to Phoenix Wonderland with her friend Rui Kamishiro. They had walked past the old, dilapidated Wonder Stage and Nene had wondered what it would be like if she could perform on a stage and bring life to a place. Throughout the course of the CS story her confidence slowly grows and the more she gets over her severe stage fright.

Relationships:

Mizuki Akiyama: Fellow classmate and unit member, they get along quite well. However when they first met Nene found Mizuki annoying but felt that less the more they hung out and bonded over shared interests. The one in CS that Nene trusts the most.

Haruka Kiritani: Fellow group member, she is the one Nene looks up to the most and sees her as a mentor of some sort. They also get along quite well but Haruka wants to know more about Nene. 

Nene tends to stick close to Haruka very often, much to Mizuki’s dismay of course. Nene see’s Haruka as her number one idol and hopes to be like her someday. When they first met, Nene just stared at her for about 5 minutes without a word. Then proceeded to quickly introduce herself and tell Haruka how much she means to her.

  Their dynamic is interesting because Haruka wishes to be more like Nene. Smart, blunt, and well less uptight. On the other hand Nene wants to be more like Haruka. Confident, outgoing, and powerful.

Shizuku Hinomori: Fellow unit member and someone she also looks up to.

Rui Kamishiro: Childhood best friend. He has been with Nene through almost her whole life and trusts in him the most.

Honami Mochizuki: frenemy for unknown reasons Nene heavily dislikes her. 

 Why would she hate her so much?

Mizuki Akiyama:

The eccentric member of ColorSpree. The one everyone comes to for advice or just friendship, meeting Nene in their first year. They had always found Nene intriguing and tried everything to be her friend. They were worried they were being too pushy until Nene started to sit with them at lunch and they bonded over various anime and games. Being friends with Nene gave them a reason to come to school more often seeing as they hardly attended anyway.

  Mizuki was the first person to help Nene form CS. Seeing her just sitting on the empty Wonder Stage during a trip to Phoenix Wonderland. That also happened to be when they first entered SEKAI. 

Relationships:

Nene Kusanagi: Fellow classmate and unit member. as well as Nene’s self proclaimed best friend 

Shizuku Hinomori: Fellow unit member, met through Haruka. Mizuki thinks she’s absolutely gorgeous and loves having her model potential performance outfits. 

Haruka Kiritani: Fellow unit member. While not idolizing her, Mizuki shares Nene’s passion after hearing more about her.

An Shiraishi: Fellow classmate. They have known each other since middle school. 

Kohane Azusawa: Acquaintance. Met through Haruka. Mizuki is slightly jealous with how close she is with An

Haruka Kiritani:

The third member of CS. Haruka is the fan favorite from CS for very good reason! Her soft voice and kind personality naturally drew many to her. Meeting Nene in her second year, she always found her way of speaking and mannerisms interesting. Hesitantly joining the group with the influence of Shizuku Hinomori.

  After quitting her life as an idol in her freshman year, Haruka was constantly bombarded with harsh comments and criticism for leaving her past group. Due to this, she switched schools her second year to join Kohane at (insert school name here), where she met Nene and Mizuki.

   When she was a kid her parents decided to train her to become an idol, and she did in fact become one. From a young age Haruka was taught how to behave in front of cameras and people in public. The older she got , the more she disliked this lifestyle until her freshman year of highschool where she told her parents she didn't want to do it anymore. While they were sad they supported her decision and enrolled her into (insert school name) for her second year

Relationships:

Nene Kusanagi: Fellow unit member and classmate. Nene looks up to and admires Haruka alot. She was also the first one of her “fans” that did not berate her for quitting her idol career

They are quite close and get closer the more the CS story goes on. Nene is the one who helped motivate her to get back on stage which brought more people to love her again.

Mizuki Akiyama: Fellow unit member, they bond over their admiration for Nene and how proud they are of her. Mizuki also loves destroying anyone online who makes fun of Haruka or berates her for quitting.

Shizuku Hinomori: Fellow unit member and were in the same idol agency (name here). Both Haruka and Shizuku were made idols at a young age by their parents although Shizuku quit earlier on (middle school I suppose) but kept in contact with Haruka. 

Shizuku was also the main reason Haruka was convinced to join CS.

Kohane Azusawa: Childhood best friends, they met when the were in elementary and their parents were close friends aswell. Kohane was with Haruka when her parents decided to have Haruka become an idol. Throughout that time it was difficult for them to hang out in public so they didnt speak to each other for quite a long time. When Haruka told Kohane she was enrolling into school, Kohane was able to convince her parents to enroll her at her school.

Shizuku Hinomori:

The fourth member of CS. Also known as the mom of the group. She is the one who looks after everyone especially since shes the oldest. From a young age she was trained to become an idol, which she genuinely enjoyed for years, until middle school rolled around and her parents decided to pull her out of it so she could live a normal-ish life

Mizuki was the one who convinced her to join CS, it wasnt hard at all since she had already been considering getting back into the music scene. She considers Haruka a good friend of hers and was to most determined to convince her to join.

so now here I am developing lore for this bs, I alr got down some of the HaruAn friendship stuff with a bit of Haruka uncertainty over An wanting to be a singer (Haruka worried An will end up like her)

Then there’s Tsukasa who…did not get the job at pxl! And Ena’s struggling to find inspiration to draw,

im open to suggestions to further develop this because what I have rn is shit. Especially naming this bitch-

anyway!!

i'm doing a thing. organizing my thoughts and stuff. i mean it's been like seven months almost eight so i figured why not

so without further ado,,

just a little thing to collect my thoughts :) i redesigned MVR miku while watching hocus pocus for the first time so if she looks kinda magic-y,, yeah

the cover songs are just four songs that i think they would cover, they wouldn't be the only songs covered by the group, just a basis for the type of music they do

Explanation:

Emu Otori (group name: “Emori”), a girl who got gossiped about by her classmates since middle school because her personality changed from being a quiet, shy, timid girl into a cheerful, extrovert girl. These gossips made her feel uneasy and started to feel like she doesn’t deserve to be herself.

I feel like the best part about the new april fools groups is that they aren’t even unit swaps. It’s more like groups forced to work together because they got stuck in a specific part of the past/future.

So for all we know, this is in the same universe as the canon story except their sekai bugged and sent them to different time periods (at least sekai versions of different times) which is honestly really funny and compelling. It looks like a unit swap but looking at the names and what happens in the event (??), it’s the equivalent of just some losers who end up on a deserted island with no one but each other, trying to find their way home.

The implications of them having their old unit are funny too cause imagine them sharing this shit with each other 😭🙏🏻 like “emu. WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU BEFRIENDED ROBOTS?? I ALMOST GOT EATEN BY A DINOSAUR?????!!!!”

Shattered Sekai AU: NIGHTCORD @ 25:00

NightCord at 25:00: A group of girls brought together originally by their collective despair. The four of them were collectively inspired by the event RAD Weekend in one way or another. They have decided to band together and surpass a legend without knowing the others’ motivations. 

Characters

Ena Shinonome: The group’s founder and leader. After her brother sustained an injury that rendered him completely mute permanently, she took on his dreams to fill the void left by her own crushed aspirations. She would perform outside Kamiyama High School to practice, getting more bitter as time progressed, and no one stopped to listen to her. She was about to give up, hating herself for not keeping the fire of her brother’s dream going, when she was confronted by Mizuki. Mizuki tells Ena she likes her singing and brings her to Weekend Garage. The two agree to team up, forming the group Enamia. She suggests teaming up with K of the group NIGHTCORD  after she hears their songs. 

Mizuki Akiyama: A girl who faces horrible bullying at school and has no close allies. She wishes to live as herself despite what others say. She’s found by one of her classmates after a case of prolonged harassment and brought to Weekend Garage. While there, Mizuki witnesses a performance by a street group that plays AMVs behind their routines and is instantly hooked. She became the street musician Amia, who created AMVs for her performances. She encounters Ena singing outside the gates of Kamiyama High School and is enthralled. She brings Ena to the Weekend Garage and offers to become her teammate, hoping to surpass Rad Weekend and prove that AMV singers can be the future. 

Mafuyu Asahina: A girl who is systematically emotionally abused by her mother to the point she’s forgotten who she is. One night while walking home, she hears music coming from a building and sees the mysterious DJ K playing at an event. K’s song makes her feel something other than the cold numbness she's been trapped in since middle school, and she becomes obsessed. She goes to all of K’s events and follows every song she puts on YouTube, to the point that her grades start slipping because she is doing more research on K than studying. She saw that K was looking for a partner to write and sing lyrics for her songs, and Mafuyu applied. The two of them teamed up and did events together late at night when Mafuyu was able to sneak out of the house. 

Kanade Yoisaki:  Grew up adjacent to Vivid Street. Her mother used to go to Weekend Garage all the time to read before she died, and then her father would bring her to the cafe when he needed a quiet place to work. After her father was hospitalized from overwork, she began wandering the streets like a ghost. Her grandmother wasn’t able to support her financially, necessitating her getting a job. She got a part-time job at Weekend Garage and only really left the house to work. She was determined to write a song that would spread the most hope, but she couldn’t compose if her internet got turned off. One night, while wandering the streets, she comes across RAD Weekend. She goes to watch, and is so inspired she begins working to surpass the event and spread the most hope humanly possible. She becomes a DJ to compensate for her bad health and writes songs that are a combination of Lo-fi and street. She teams up with Mafuyu, forming the group NIGHTCORD. 

Meadow Sekai Mochizuki Honami

Sekai

Meadow Sekai: a quiet field filled to the brim with flowers (Daffodils, carnations, and daisies), soft grass, and ivy. The flowers spread as far as the eye can see and are the only thing other than a light cloud covering.  It’s the only sekai with seasons, indicated by what flowers are in bloom. It also has a day-night cycle. It’s based on the park where Mafuyu and Kanade meet up for practice.

Spring: Daffodils

Fall: daisies
