Hello!! I just wanted to say that your shuffle units has inspired me to go back to re-revisit my own swap!au, and I'm sososo grateful for that because I've been having a blast with it!!

That being said, I'm wondering if it's okay if I use your masterpost as reference for my own posts sharing my units in terms of formatting? It's totally okay if you're not comfortable with that, of course! :D

cool little shuffle au fact i think about sometimes….v#m instrumentalists have like a primary instrument model that they use (rui ibanez grx70qa, akito yamaha rydeen RDP2F5, shiho fender american elite jazz bass) but i think with costumes that come with cards theyd get different models to suit the set and instrument selection would be like an exclusive menu in the costume thing for v#m where theres a little clip/animation of a character playing a solo phrase with the instrument model :3 (if you were to put another character in a v#m mv theyd just use whatever model you had selected for the person they’re in the position of)

trying to find little sound clips to use for each if you have recommendations let me know…!

gonna slide this out there………im working on a character description+ relationship doc so people know a little bit more about the lore but as far as visual stuff what do you want to see first!!

not exactly lore related, but do you have the plans for what songs each group’s untitled files are going to turn into?

THIS IS A GOOD QUESTION!! unlike most where people pick specific songs i originally just picked what producers id want to be the comm because i feel like itd need to be very specific for each unit and a pre-existing song couldnt fully encapsulate that unit

OH YEAH SPEAKING OF V#M!!! for how much i talk about vm and polkadot stingray i found a video that is kind of like mizukis stage presence because shizuku doesnt have a guitar in this!! yay!! overall i think this is what theyd perform like but more bouncy and stuff and they looove interacting with their bandmates

Does Mafuyu have her honor student persona in the same way she does in the canon game, where she only doesn't mask when with her unit and the VS? Or does she only ever mask/never mask at all?

yep!! its pretty similar to in canon, i cant think of any major differences here. it does take her a long time to let down her mask around her unit, i think sakis probably the ones who prompts it because in this au she has similar circumstances to mafuyu and understands her better

Did rui have any sort of relationship with the other tenma students? (I guess kanade & shizuku since the others didn’t attend at the same time he did)

vaguely? like he knew them but i dont think he had any bonds however i think tenmas like a middle school and up type thing?? so the 1st years would have known him as well also a big thing when rui was transferring his mom was like “nene will be there remember she transferred a while ago??” so as a general answer yeah he does know most of the other tenma students

You've mentioned the Rui and Tsukasa beef several times, and while I am curious about that, I also wanna know what's going on with Leoni, especially with the Saki and Shiho's one-sided beef! Shiho doesn't seem to have anything against Ichika and Honami, so what's her problem with Saki?

ok ILL START WITH LEONI!!! so leoni doesnt really communicate, nothing super dramatic happened they just kind of fell out of touch. as for everyones like separate feelings about it

ichika: bro is the yearner. she misses everybody really badly and wants to talk to someone but doesnt have the courage

saki: she also misses everyone, i forgot to make the sakishiho a one-sided arrow from shiho to saki, she doesn’t hate anyone and misses them a lot but shes like i gotta move on with my life there is too much going on

honami: has kind of tried to ignore it but she does miss her friends a lot

shiho: misses her friends but that is under a wave of resentment for them just letting it happen. shiho doesnt hate saki necessarily but she kind of hates who shes become? again with the thing with her and tsukasa having this very specific image they have to live up to she hates that its taken like everything away from her. they took her whimsy away bro.

as for ruikasa! what do you do when you have a guy who has kind of given up on everything (not in like an edgy way he is just like whatever) and you have another guy (well a whole school really) of people who have something theyre super committed to and must be the best at? not great situation

at first it was fine and tsukasa was trying to be pleasant to the new student but this is rui coming out of middle school and he just Does Not Gaf About Anything and so their exchange goes something like this

“so does your family have a background in the arts?”

“no”

“ok…what do you do? music theatre art”

“none of it really”

“wtf are you doing here”

so naturally rui kind of sticks out among the super dedicated crowd. from there it just kind of spirals and the two grow to dislike each other a lot, tsukasa deliberately puts him at a very low social standing which is the exact position rui tried to escape from by leaving kamiyama and it is not good.

Hihihi!! I'm curious on what the lore/deal with the Tenma Academy of Arts in your shuffle au is :O

What made you come up with it, and is it a key part to the stories aside from impacting certain character relations? I'm so intrigued,,,

HI!!! i honestly have no clue what happened with its creation but i had some idea that like diminuendo could be members of some really prestigious orchestra group or something and thus tenma academy was born i think? idk its been a while

the characters attending are

tsukasa

kanade

honami

toya

saki

shizuku

rui (past)

so as a general overview tenma academy of the arts is a third school, though kamiyama and miyamasuzaka’s still do exist. it’s a prestigious art school

it does have a significant story impact as its kind of what diminuendo’s main story revolves around, as its a crazy elite school and mega competitive so this creates a lot of conflict for Everybody. it also has a big part in saki + tsukasa’s characters since they’re basically now like publically known as this super prestigious school’s founder’s kids, tsukasa is kind of just like mainstory wxs tsukasa if he didnt undergo any character growth that he has in wxs and it affects saki a little more, with her feeling pressured to live in that position even after returning from being hospitalized.

character relations! obviously diminuendo formed at tenma, rui attended for one year (this would be like the 1st year of high school they havent touched on in canon yet) and oooohh he did not have a great time. shuffle ruikasa is a whole other thing i can talk about but it definitely impacts their character relationships. otherwise everyones pretty friendly with one another aside from the constant atmosphere of “i have to be better than you at everything ever”
