mizuki, with your hand interlaced with theirs, led you into a store with a smile on their face. "you said you wanted something nice to wear for our outing with the rest of nightcord, right? this store has awesome stuff! a bunch of different styles too!" they gleamed.

you looked around in awe, the store covered top to bottom in many different styles of outfits, some cutesy while others were edgy. you didn't even mizuki had let go of your hand. they picked up a nice shirt from a nearby rack, the bottom and sleeves decorated in lace. "is this too formal for you? i know we're only going to karaoke but this seems fine to me!" the quickly put it back before you could respond. "actually, it's white. what if you get it dirty? that's a pain to clean..."

you nodded in agreement, snapped out of your trance. "how about we check the clearance racks? bound to be something good there for a nice price... i don't know how often ill wear these clothes, aha..." you suggested before mizuki shook their head, taking your hands in theirs. "absolutely not! i'm helping pay, remember? with your allowance and the money i made at work, we could buy something super cute! it's only what you deserve, [name]! let's look at another rack." mizuki let go of your hands and motioned you to move to the rack behind them.

"here, they have more stuff! less frills and lace, more focus on graphics and comfort! do you like anything here?" mizuki asked, pulling out random streetwear shirts for you to see. "they're nice but... they don't speak to me, you know?" you said thoughtfully; mizuki gave you a thumbs up. "that's okay! we still have an entire store left! and a bunch more! the mall is pretty big!"

you thought about the mall a little before moving to make your next decisions. an hour or so passed and you had managed to find a few outfits that you liked. in the changing room, you tried everything on as mizuki stood outside waiting to comment or help. eventually, you walked out in the final outfit you picked out. casual but not too casual, cute but not over-the-top, comfy. mizuki clapped their hands and bounced on their toes. "ah! it's perfect! it fits your personality and style, and the colors look so satisfying!" mizuki gushed, making you rub your neck in embarrassment.

"you think so?" you sighed with a smile, tired from all the dressing up. you did a spin to show mizuki the back and retreated back into the changing room to get back into your original clothes. "mizuki, i did the math.. the clothes cost almost 7000 yen... are you sure that's okay? i have..." you stopped just outside the changing room to pull your wallet out of your bag, holding the clothes in one hand. mizuki took your clothes from you.

"of course it is! i already said i would help pay, right? that means no matter how much! i do prettyyyy good at my job so of course i make a reasonable amount~!" mizuki fake pouted as if you suggested they didn't make a lot of cash. "if you insist... i don't know how to repay you..." you started by mizuki shushed you by putting a finger to their lips.

"don't worry about it, you've been working so hard recently and you need a nice break, so let me treat you okay? no payment required on your part! plus, you stuck around me this long, no? that's enough payment for me!" mizuki said, suddenly becoming genuine and ... almost thoughtful when they pointed out how long you two had been friends, "cmon! let's pay and go meet up at the diner with ena and mafuyu! kanade will be there when she gets done visiting her dad!"

you smiled and nodded, following mizuki. what a lovely day this was going to be, and who better to spend the majority of it with than mizuki?

Still, you hadnt had too much time to practice your singing lately, and you needed to rehearse two songs for an upcoming performance. Maybe singing while working on the project wouldnt be too much for your brain to handle, right?

needy af. shes embarrassed by it, but she yearns for your touch. constantly wanting to be sat touching legs with you, holding fingers within your own. you’ll catch her glancing at you occasionally, seeming like her mind is always on you, no matter whats happening around you two.

Akito:

Akito's childhood was neither here nor there, so you both faced a lot of problems together

Any time something went down in his family, he would immediately go to you, not saying anything as he simply wanted to be in your company

When you end up moving away, he's not sure what to do with himself, but he tries to forget about you

Of course he doesn't, he still remembers your favorite color and favorite snack when you were young

You end up bumping into him while he's doing a street performance. You both met eyes as you were walking, and the shock of seeing him again makes you freeze

He's distracted for the first time, barely able to remember his set list as he keeps his eyes on you. There was no way it was you, right?

Immediately afterward, you both run to meet each other, and he can't help himself from hugging you. "When did you get back here? Ah whatever, I'm just glad to see you again."

Rui:

Rui's childhood was...something, to say the least. You were his best friend and he stuck to you like glue

You were with him as he started to get into robotics, encouraging his schemes and plans even when other kids started treating him as a weirdo

Your departure from his life shatters him, but he tries to move on as best as he could

He never moves on. He gets reminded of you all the time, and it kind of breaks his heart.

However, it all changes when you of all people come up to him after a WxS performance. Granted, he didn't see you in the crowd, but you recognized him

You went to tell him how good he did in the show, but he found himself bewildered to be face to face with you again. He almost cries, but he hides it as he embraces you

"Oh my god, it's you..." He whispers, still in shock as he pulls back to smile at you, "I've missed you so much." You spend time catching up with him afterwards!

Tsukasa:

Growing up, Tsukasa had quite the childhood. You were one of his only friends he had growing up

You stuck with him throughout elementary school, helping him as Saki went to the hospital, but you were forced to move away once you both grew older

He promised that he'd find you again one day, and kept a little charm you both made once close to his heart

He never backed down from a promise, and made sure to keep looking out for you even as the years passed

Finally, finally, one day, he saw you walking around Phoenix Wonderland. He recognized the charm you had almost immediately, and practically screamed your name

You were surprised to hear your name in the middle of an amusement park, but when you saw the man currently barreling towards you, it all made sense

He tackled you in the tightest hug he could, already excitedly talking your ear off as he looked you over, his eyes sparkling brightly. "I told you we'd see each other again!"

Mizuki:

You had stuck with Mizuki through a lot, they had been through a lot growing up after all

You had been with them before middle school and through the first year of it, however you both had been separated after you were forced to move

They were extremely upset about losing you, and they would always find themselves missing you on the loneliest of days

As the years passed, they never expected to see you again. It had been way too long, there was no way...

But, when they were out at the mall, they saw you from a random shop and almost dropped everything they had bought in their haste to see you

They called your name out, and you turned to look at them, surprise evident on your face. You both embraced, and you comment they seem happier, especially with how they've changed

They can only smile wide, squeezing you tighter in a hug as they looked down at the ground. "I think I'm even happier now that you're here."

pairing, mizuki akiyama x fem! reader writing, 1st person perspective of the reader notes, MIZUKI5 SOBS LIKE A CHILD HOLY SHIT. this is supposed to be a remake of an old mizuki fic that i did on my old acc, kudos if you remembered lol.

“Hi, it’s Mizuki! Can’t come to the phone obviously! So why would you leave a message right after the beep, won’t ya?”

Time passed away 5 years ago. Emphasis on the years part.

Being all organised and sharp downgraded massively by the time university decided to arrive. No more continuing to be something you’re clearly not, Mizuki once stated when we faced high school. Truth is, the act of perfection struck directly through my heart when we were so young to even be perfect. I was pretending to be something I’m clearly not.

We turned out to be grown now, we’ve grown ourselves out of boredom so much that we drifted. Drifted out and off everyone around us. And it pains and strikes faithfully; the pain almost tasted like pure yet scruffed blood which still dare ran with our veins. Veins that yet attached us truthfully.

And it still hurts so badly.

Between us, the awkward smiles and conversations lingered us both in the tongue, with forced laughter and childish gestures reawakened our once intertwined souls endlessly.

Too bad we couldn’t be those kids again.

Even the sound of their name never failed to shred tears behind fake eyes, recalling back to the times where linking arms were often and normalised, giving fashion guidance by yours truly and sharing an ice cream cone with the boiling summer — that was the ideal dream.

We grew up to be two different people together, we discovered. Different views of the world, different reactions to everything and everyone, different ways to approach the said people.

Maybe we were just not meant to be.

The back of your throat felt like nails scratching against a classroom blackboard and a murder being discovered in a blender together; nothing but a pure, graphic mess. Maybe the scream was so overbearing that the sound of it felt like you really were stabbing by a knife. Screaming rose up to grasping your neck rapidly. it was just a normal day for everyone - well, except for you. you were sitting on the edge of your bed, staring at the mirror that stared back at your face in a mocking way.

you wanted to cut your hair. you wanted it to be short, something that could actually represent who you were. it sounded stupid for other people, but for you? it meant a lot. lost in thought you even forgot that your friend mizuki was coming over, if it wasn't for the doorbell.

getting up from the bed, you quickly made your way to the door, opening it and being faced with a really happy mizuki.

"hi author! sorry for taking too long, I was finishing something."

"hey mizuki. it's fine, no worries... uhm, here come in." — you stepped aside, making room for mizuki to get in your house.

you guided them to your bedroom, even if mizuki already knew where it was. sounded rude to not do it. when you opened the door, the scissors that you were trying to use was on top of the bed, which got you a bit worried.

"hey, what's that?" — mizuki asked you, taking the scissors on her hands to take a look at it.

"oh, nothing! I was just going to.." — you got more nervous as mizuki looked at your eyes without a face of 'I do not believe you', before grabbing your hand and dragging you to the bed.

"do you want to cut your hair?"

"huh? what-"

"I can do it for you! if you want to, of course, hehehe.." — oh, their laugh. so pretty and yet so contagious. wait, hair, right.

"... I want it."

"really?? alright! I'm not the best at doing this but I'm not going to make it look that bad. I hope.."

and then, she begun to cut your hair. the sound of the scissors getting you more nervous the more you heard it. maybe it was a good idea to not face the mirror.

after a considerable amount of time, mizuki was finally done with your hair. they noticed your anxious face, giggling a bit before grabbing your hand.

"you can look now." — and that was it. you turned around on the bed, now facing the mirror. and, oh, my, god. your eyes widened as you saw the reflection that looked at you. looking without the mockery from before, but with relief, happiness.

"so.. what did you think? I hope it is decent enough-" — before mizuki could even finish their sentence, you hugged them. her surprised face stayed for no longer than 2 seconds, quickly hugging you back.

"I.. thank you so much mizuki."

Oof, now this is extremely tough, for both Mizuki. Their entire secret revolves around keeping a secret that they fear would ruin their friendships, so them suddenly gaining feelings for someone? Yeah...

At first Mizuki tries to deny their own feelings. You are just their friend, nothing else! They shouldn't try to push it or make something deeper with you! Everything should be fine so long as you two remain friends, right?

Unluckily, love isn't so easy to just shrug off, and once they realize just how bad they have fallen for you, they start to get nervous about their feelings all over again, much like when they had the choice to join Niigo.

They hide their struggles from you, like always, but slowly, they start to drift away. They can't afford to become so attached, to show just how vulnerable they truly are, to rely on you with their darkest, deepest secrets. Unfortunately for them, it's not that easy.

As time passes, it's not only harder to lie to you, but to themselves as well. Each day they spend away from you they think of you more, and more. Not only more, but they thoughts start to grow intense.

So, still riddled with guilt and now even more so, they start to stalk you. First, it's just online, making sure you make the right friends, then it's more social, as they apologize for their behavior and resume hanging out with you, and slowly they start peering more and more into your personal life.

However, it wasn't of a desire to market you all theirs, they couldn't bear to take you away from what makes you happy, which they understood was socializing and being free, much like them. However, they wouldn't allow anyone to ruin your happiness.

Mizuki couldn't lie to themselves, they were completely and absolutely in love with you now, but someone like them, riddled with insecurities, lies, and identity issues, wouldn't be enough to make you happy, much less as a lover.

However, that doesn't mean they would remain just a friend... In fact, while they looked at you and felt such conflicting emotions in their heart, whenever they looked at others behind their backs, they didn't even notice their suspicions, paranoia, and wariness rising.

"Hey, you remember that girl that asked for help to study two days ago? How do I know about her- that doesn't matter! What's important, is that she's hanging out way too much with the popular girls! Yeah, you know what that means, be careful!"

If they could only be friends, that means they'll be the best friend they can be: Protecting you from people with bad intentions, helping you make your decisions, making your life brighter each day they possibly could. (name) Hinomori — Formerly, a model and actor due to her mothers influence. Though, somehow modelling wasn't really her forte when she got a chance to see Ai Hoshino perform live. She and Mizuki were the last to join.

Mizuki Akiyama — They kept to themselves a lot during middle school and only met the others when they all met at a convenient store while it was raining, they didn't open up a lot and only chose to kept quiet as they watched the others interact. Slowly as the rain cleared out, Mizuki opened up a lot to the 3 and even propose that they start a group after finding they all were interested in music.

Your vision was unfocused, the tears of your eyes didnt let you see correctly and the shakeness of your body didnt help at all but still you were able to find a bottle of pills hidding below your bed, without even paying attention to the letters or the prospect, you decided to shakily put one on your mouth— but suddenly stopped walking as the pill started to dissolve slowly on your tongue.

A pink haired person camed to your mind, Mizuki— you should atleast give her a goodbye message. Your eyes filled with disgusting tears, and your shaky hand threatened to shove all the pills into your mouth, and more if its necessary for it to work— you were too much of a coward to try another method, you just wanted a peaceful end.

But a sweet voice that was breaking down in a murmur stopped you, the door slamming weakly against the wall when a figure emerged from it, the sound of groceries moving slightly when they stopped in their tracks. - "...W-what are you doing.."

You totally forgot they went to the convenience store, that they would come back— that you werent alone. They had been trying so hard to reignite your light, to hear your laugh again, to bring you back. Dont get them wrong— they still love you. There was only fear in Mizuki's eyes, and at the lack of response you gived them— not being able to give them an explanation and just cry out an endless spiral of apologies, they hugged you tightly— craving you, their nails digging into your flesh to feel that youre still here, that you arent totally out of yourself, that they grabbed you just in the moment to stop you— what would had happened if them...?

"M-mizuki, im sorry- im....i didnt...im so, so s-sorry, i just—" - A shaky breath interrupts you, your heart beated so fast you almost thinked it was going to explode from how hard it tightened your chest - "Im just s-so tired..." - You finally managed to leave on a single breath

"I know! Im not stupid, but- but... we can always rest together! Thats why im here, im your girlfriend— i love you! I-I dont want to lose you...youre...youre part of my heart...i cant bare to l-lose you..." - Mizuki was crying a lot, more than you ever thought they could, with how optimistic they are you never expected to see them break so badly for you. The guilt was eating you alive and more with the fact your search for peace ended up hurting the person you love

Mizuki took a deep breath and leaned back, searching for your teary gaze while gripping your shoulders tightly - "I understand youre tired, I-I understand it a lot! But you cant just give up… You cant… J-Just because your last exams were a failure doesnt mean youre a failure. I get that you feel like a burden, b-but you arent one! I understand everything thats hurting you and I-I want to help you, please… y-you have to keep trying. You cant just..."

Mizuki bit their own lip to stop another sob from escaping, making a small mark from how harsh they bitted their lower lip. By now, you were red from crying, your hair a mess— probably sweaty, disgusting. And yet, through all the tears, Mizuki still looked at you with so much love, with the same look they did since the start. They were, without a doubt, your light in the darkness.

"I-Im tired of trying...Im tired..." - You shuddered and cried into their shoulder, hugging yourself trying to reassure you - "But maybe...i-im sorry- i just...i just wanted to stop annoying you...i'm...i'm a f-failure..." - You sighed heavy, your heart clenching so much that you were asking for someone to take it out, pleading that all this situation stopped and you could rest for once— but the thought of leaving Mizuki after seeing them cry like this, was stopping you from actually thinking of doing it again.

Before Mizuki could continue her ramble, you hugged her tightly, holding onto her, needing her. They were… your couple, after all. What were you thinking, leaving them alone? Such a stupid head of yours for proposing that idea—you shouldnt listen to it anymore. How could you not notice the life you were about to leave behind with such an erratic action?

You never confirmed Mizuki's words with your voice, but your endless tears and the way you clung to her said everything that needed to be said. You were going to keep trying— even if its only for Mizuki. Maybe, along the way, you'd find other reasons to keep going. And no matter how many times you fall… you have to keep trying

After what felt like an endless talk and a stressful situation, Mizuki is now holding your sleepy body on the bed. a/n - i took so long to write this that i myself am now on my period T_T it sucks so much </3 i hope maybe this can be comforting for whenever youre on yours next, nonnie? also, i know you asked for oneshots but i did hcs because i couldnt think of how to make this into that!! so sorry </3

Tsukasa is immediately ready to spoil you as much as he possibly can

Craving something specific? He will find it for you. Cramps? He's got a heating pad that is somehow always the perfect temperature. Generally feeling down? He will kiss you on the forehead and cuddle you if you so desire

Due to, y'know, living with a teenage girl around both your ages, he's already fairly aware of what to do and what not to do with someone on their period

He'll leave you alone when you need it, check on you every so often, all of that!

Nene understands how painful it can be

She'll lend you her own hot water bottle when you're on your period as it usually helps her

(It smells like her too, so it's more comforting than normal...)

She'll visit throughout the week, dropping off little snacks and wishing you well

Sometimes even staying to cuddle you if you manage to convince her (which isn't very hard)

Kanade is kind of inexperienced in this whole thing, other than the whole bleeding aspect

She never actually experiences cramps whenever she's on hers, which you are endlessly envious of

She offers you some of her spare pots of ramen when you're hungry. Sorry if you don't like ramen, she doesn't have anything else...

Kanade also enjoys playing calming and gentle music on her synth for you to soothe you further. Somehow, it always makes you drift to sleep...

Mizuki is also always ready to smother you with cuddles if you're feeling down!

You wanna hang out with them but don't want to go anywhere? No problem! The two of you will stay home, cuddle and watch some shows together

I feel like they're the type of person to always carry menstrual products in their bag/pockets just in case someone they know needs it. Because of this, you never need to worry about being caught without any spares if you're out with them!

So can I request Akito, Mizuki, and Kanade and Haruka idk how to word this but like image them over at readers house and they discover an album where that's full of photos when reader was a child (like through 0-14) bonus points if reader is different compared to their present self like child! Reader was energetic and bubbly, but the present reader is reserved or shy😭

♡ BABY PHOTOBOOK - Akito Shinonome, Mizuki Akiyama, Kanade Yoisaki and Haruka Kiritani x Reader

Akito:

You and Akito had been going out for a couple of months, and having him over to your house wasn't new. What was new, however, was him finding an old photobook

"Huh...What's this?" He waves the photobook haphazardly in the air, and your eyes go wide as you quickly try to grab it from him, "Be careful-"

He can tell that you're trying to hide something, so while he holds you off, he looks through the photobook. And he almost can't believe his eyes

It's full of photos of you, you as a cute little toddler that's all bubbly smiles at the camera; the complete opposite of you now. It makes his chest feel warm, in a way

He looks up at you with a grin of mischief, pointing at a photo of you that makes you flush with embarrassment. He laughs, wrapping his arm around you as he compares the photo to you

"Look at how cute you are, so bubbly too...What happened, huh?" He's nothing but teases and smiles <3

Mizuki:

Mizuki always has a tendency of looking through things they shouldn't, and that doesn't change when you date them. So, while we were off doing who knows what, they were looking around

"Well well, what's this?" They held up a photobook found from under your bed, glancing towards the doorway to make sure you weren't looking before they opened it up

They can barely hold in the absolute squeal that comes out when they see the contents of the photobook, their eyes sparkling as their hands rest over their mouth

There were so many photos of baby you, looking like the happiest thing alive. It makes them lose their mind, how is it possible for you to be so cute?

They're quick to find you, hugging you from behind and laughing as they shrug off your flustered exclamations of them finding the photobook, simply showing you their favorite photos

"Just look how absolutely adorable you are!! How are you so cute??" They can't even tease you, they're just gushing <3

Kanade:

It takes a lot to drag your girlfriend, Kanade, out of her home, so she definitely discovers your photobook on accident. She was sitting on the couch, when her foot bumped against something

"Huh...?" She looks down, fingers brushing over the photobook before she pulls it out, looking at it curiously. You glance over at the sound, letting out a laugh. "Ah, my baby photos..."

After getting your permission, she takes a peek through the photobook, her eyes widening slightly at the contents. Her fingers skim over the photos with awe

There are so many photos of you as a baby, and you look so bubbly and happy. A part of her can't help but hope that one day, she can bring that smile back to your face

You look a bit embarrassed beside her, so she's quick to rest her head on your shoulder. She smiles, looking down at the photos before looking back up at you

"You were a really adorable kid..." Her compliments are soft and a bit shy, but you know she means it from the bottom of her heart <3

Haruka:

Haruka is the other person who wouldn't purposefully try to snoop around and find the photobook. You two were sitting and talking in your room when she saw it in the corner of her eye

"I've never seen that before..." She comments curiously, and you look over your shoulder, an embarrassed look slipping over your face, "Oh, it's just a photobook from when I was younger..."

She's definitely intrigued after you say that, and she asks if she can see. After a bit of hesitance, you hand it over, and she opens the photobook carefully

Her eyes immediately widen, a soft smile slipping onto her lips as she takes in all of your baby photos, laughing softly at how cute you looked

She brings you into a hug, keeping the photobook across your laps as she kissed your cheek, gently squeezing you as she complimented every single photo of you

"You are so adorable, just look at that grin!" Her words absolutely shine with the adoration she feels for you <3
