At first you don’t respond to him. Of course however he’s persistent in getting you to give him attention. He leans over his face right in front of you as he smiles all brightly nearly nose to nose as he hangs over you.

In your eyes he’s upside down and you can see the blood rushing to his head as his pale cheeks flush a soft pink, causing you to smile gently.

He’s persistent, in his mind his job is to keep you happy. So as long as you’re happy he’s content as he slides right in to sit beside you.

you wanted to cut your hair. you wanted it to be short, something that could actually represent who you were. it sounded stupid for other people, but for you? it meant a lot. lost in thought you even forgot that your friend mizuki was coming over, if it wasn't for the doorbell.

getting up from the bed, you quickly made your way to the door, opening it and being faced with a really happy mizuki.

"hi author! sorry for taking too long, I was finishing something."

"hey mizuki. it's fine, no worries... uhm, here come in." — you stepped aside, making room for mizuki to get in your house.

you guided them to your bedroom, even if mizuki already knew where it was. sounded rude to not do it. when you opened the door, the scissors that you were trying to use was on top of the bed, which got you a bit worried.

Sitting at a cafe, you waited for Ena, courtesy of her inviting you out to talk about something. Perhaps she wanted to talk to you about her new ideas...

"(name)!" Ena walked over to your table and sat at the opposite side with a small smile.

In bright contrast, you wore normal and plain clothing. While Ena on the other hand, she clearly dressed up, though not as much but it was still quite there.

"Oh... Ena." You said her name in a flat voice, you looked... chronically exhausted but that doesn't really matter since you always were like that.

Different, always silent, plain, in stark contrast to the 4 at Nightcord at 25:00 you were an odd one, almost like you were trying to be invisible.

"Seriously? Slippers with socks on?" Ena made a chuckle, tilting her head to gaze at your footwear.

"Sorry, I didn't think the conversation would be that important."

"It really isn't important, but even if I said that you would still dress like this right?"

"You're so easy to read, but yet so hard at the same time." Ena made a sigh while resting her head at her palm.

"Be a bit more energetic, will you?" Mizuki playfully commented before intertwining her warm hands with your cold ones.

"I don't think that helps..." Mizuki scratches her head after your comment, you tilted your head.

Meeting her for the first time, felt odd. No you felt odd just by being around her, gladly you were perceptive of others despite being dull yourself.

Those eyes, when she introduced herself, you got the feeling... that she was distant, despite her warm words.

It was just a gut feeling though, so you barely paid attention to it.

But in all seriousness, you didn't expected that it would be eventually true. Those instinctive feelings about her you got back then, was actually true.

You can't fake kindness, you also can't fake for too long.

And Mafuyu herself didn't know why she would approach you whenever she got the chance. Mafuyu herself couldn't find an answer, as to why she was drawn to you.

And Mafuyu sat beside you on a bench right now.

"You don't do packed lunch often..." Mafuyu stared at your lunch.

"... I'm lazy." Your reply was fairly delayed.

"That's hard to believe... you always lie like that." Mafuyu sighed heavily.

"You do the same to everyone don't you?"

... Mafuyu's eyes shot wide opened in complete shock. "Huh?" She could only muster that out.

You gave no further explanation and remained silent. Mafuyu didn't reply...

Though however after a few moments, she eventually spoke.

Mafuyu's eyes dulled, it's a good thing no one was around, but now, she knew why she was drawn to you.

Being invited over to her house accidentally was weird. Well, it was because the rain outside was too harsh, and the closest house was Kanade's.

Though at first you refused the idea, Kanade was a bit persistent.

"Come in..." Kanade softly invited you to go inside, in which you did, but not before taking off your shoes first.

You remained silent, while Kanade flipped the light switch, the light opened around the living room.

"The rain... is getting worse isn't it? It's better if you stay here." Kanade said, inviting you to sit at the couch.

"You're kind." You complimented her with a flat voice, but despite that Kanade could tell that it was genuine.

Kanade's cheeks faintly blushed, but she made a small gentle smile.

You remained silent after that, the only sound audible was the muffled raindrops colliding with the ground outside of Kanade's house.

"I should compose any soon now..." Kanade whispered to herself, causing you to look at her.

"Compose...? You did mention you wanted to compose music that can save others right?'

"Well I did." Kanade scratched her cheek while tilting her head.

"Can that music save you?"

Kanade went into silence after what you asked. "Then will you save me if I can't save myself?" Kanade didn't know what pushed her to ask that, but she did.

-It worries her a little when you start to talk so fast you run out of breath, telling you that she's not going anywhere so you don't have to talk so fast.

-She tries to help and tells you to take deep breaths and offers you to sit or lay down if that will help you with the sudden dizziness of needing oxygen.

-Ena is a good listener like Kanade. She enjoys your ramblings and it seems to make her feel more at ease. Like there's some stress lifted off her when you ramble to her about whatever.

-She doesn't really contribute to the ramblings other than listening to them with an occasionally humming as she works on her art. It's like her background noise that keeps her from getting too deep into her mind.

-She will put down her art when you start getting out of breath and dizzy, offering you to sit or lay down and sternly telling you to take a breather because she doesn't want you to pass out or fall.

-" Go lay down before you get so dizzy that you fall, (name)! "

-Mizuki will ramble just as much with you. Perhaps their rambling will give you a break so you can breathe for a moment while they talk about whatever lore or character you were talking about before.

-They're always down to ramble along with you if it's something they're interested in as well or just listen and ask questions about whatever it is you might be rambling about.

-They kind of pat your back whenever you talk so fast you get dizzy, telling you to sit down in case you lose your balance. It's a momentary break until you catch your breath again.

whenever you play horror games like forgotten memories or the mimic, they will literally only play because you're playing. they're scared shitless even in the title screen. as the music intensities they're will hide behind you and you have to find the objective of the game for them. after this gaming session, i don't think you can even play rainbow friends with them...
