These two deserve all the praise because literally where would anyone be without all they did? They could have both easily ran so far away and let Tony do as he pleased since they both got out but instead they both courageously said enough was enough. They knew how dangerous it could get. They knew they could have easily been captured or worse. But they are two people in this series that really are selfless. All they endured for people they didn’t even know?? Like they did not even know Babe and Alan or those other kids. They had each other and could have lived relatively peacefully had they run far away. But they stayed and that to me is why they are two of the main heroes in my opinion.

This scene with Jeff especially. He started out so tense and sad, like he couldn’t help but constantly hold his breath. Never trusting anyone outside Charlie and praying that he would never have to. But now he’s light as a feather, smiling, showing how much he cares for people and that just warms my heart.

Then that scene of Charlie being so happy he can be with Babe while not stealing powers because that always prevented his happiness in the past? I’m emo and sad this show is ending.

Don't laugh at me but why am I just now realizing the significance of timing when Alan asks Charlie when is Jeff coming back to work??? Prior to Jeff working at the garage Alan really didn't have anyone to vent to and like we see when Jeff finds him working at one of Jeff's stations, work is his only outlet. Then after Jeff leaves we see he also uses a punching bag to relieve stress as well. But when Jeff was present we got these two instances:

Jeff letting Alan vent about not having enough money for the whole team. Then Jeff consoled him by reminding him if he was a bad boss no one would have stayed that long.

Then we see it again after a conversation with Dean in which Jeff helps him figure out a solution to the money problem. He even relents to Jeff that he had not, in fact, found a solution even though he was putting on airs for Dean.

So, after Jeff left he was back on his own with no one to talk to. And what happened right before talking to Charlie you ask? His argument with Dean left him upset and without his secretly caring mechanic.

Then Jeff comes back and we see yet another Dean fight (my boy was on the slow roll to psychopath early on) and who does he find solace in???

I am in complete shambles. I love them so much....Give me another drama, darn it!!!!

Pit Babe appreciation post

In my humble opinion, Pit Babe does away with male stereotypes.

What fascinates me is that Babe presents typical strong masculinity behaviour. Racing cars and because of that looking for sex in need for his concentration. And please only sex without feelings or strings attached, a real man doesn’t need that. So here comes the first funny thing - the alpha with the big ego loves to be on the receiving end sexually. Masculinity fanatics call for bloody murder.

The second shocking revelation: he longs for affection and desperately needs someone who loves him and whom he can love. No wonder he is devastated when he finds out that Charlie has lied to him. I think everyone knows the stupid saying real men don’t cry. Not this alpha. He cried sadly into his whiskey in front of his friend and also out of relief after his reconciliation with the love of his life.

What I'm trying to say with my babbling, this show gives us a typical hot and horny alpha, but then turns out to be quite different.

This series manages the incredible balancing act of having a lot of fun with the Omega/Alpha universe without making it look ridiculous.

I absolutely didn’t expect this and it has a special place in my heart.

The most upsetting part of this scene (and probably the whole ep) are these two looks:

Because the look on Jeff’s face? It’s hopeful and trusting. He has just the slightest ghost of a smile when he looks at Alan, he looks like he has full confidence that Alan is going to back him up, continue backing him up like he does at the start of this confrontation.

But the look on Alan’s face? It’s doubt. He looks at Jeff and he thinks maybe and he breaks eye contact, looks away just slightly, drops his gaze, because he wants to trust Jeff and he can see the hope in those eyes, but he’s unsure. And even if he chooses to trust Jeff, he’s team leader, how can he not side with his boys? How can he not support the majority, the boys he’s known the longest, the boys who’ve proven their loyalty to him and each other over years, and offer the resolution that most benefits the most amount of people?

How can he not choose the rational resolution, even if it requires squashing that hard-earned trust?

Thinking about sassy camboy!Sonic and his overeager simp-y fan North who squeals a little everytime Sonic starts a stream and spends a majority of his money just to hear the boy speak his name and thank him. (he's a broke college student di but like he has a lot of money to spare). And Sonic who has fans gifting him more but still has a like soft spot for this one viewer who never misses a stream and asks about his day in the comment section.

Or camboy!Babe who's known for his pretty, pretty face and tendency to ban ppl, even long term fans, off his stream acc to his whims with hid rich little sadboy fan Charlie who's there in his every stream. Babe thinks he's cringe af, but the money's good so he tolerates (or so he says) Charlie in his stream comments!

Or camboy!Kim and Kenta who drops tons of money in every stream but never speaks a word. Kim's intrigued by this mysterious viewer-

Abd between AlanJeff, Alan would 100% be the camboy, because it's hilarious to have a technologically challenged newbie streamer who's so clueless that his younger viewer aka Jeff will have to show him the ropes lmao

Seeing the growing up together flashbacks through Way's perspective hurt, because we can relate to loving someone who doesn't love us the same way, to not being able to get what we want from a relationship, but holding onto it anyway. Seeing them grow up together as a series of things that made Way fall in love was beautiful and it hurt to see his pain (I am a long time Way-hater, and I cried with him).

Seeing those things happen again, through Babe's perspective, on the other side of Way's betrayal, was devastating. Babe is looking back through his memories of his best friend -- the only person he really let himself love and trust wholly -- and looking for a reason for how much he's hurting. He's looking for a clue in their shared past that would've alerted him that Way wasn't who Babe thought he was, for a place where he went wrong and led Way on. He's looking back and rewriting every interaction he and Way ever had, to be about someone who lied to him, someone who used him, someone who didn't love him after all.

Babe loved Way, and Way decided it wasn't enough for him, so when Way looks back on their friendship he sees wasted time, but when Babe looks back, he sees his best times; now though, those times are all tainted and re-made into regret, because the Way in those memories is a lie.

Way twisted their relationship into something unrecognizable to Babe, and in doing so became unrecognizable himself. Way's insistence that he loves Babe, that they can be a family and make children for Tony to use, when Babe thought Way already was his family, when Babe had just started to think about making a family with Charlie and to lean into the idea that he can let himself love and be loved that way, is such a betrayal and such a fundamental misunderstanding of who Babe is, and it all just tears Babe's foundation apart.

So he rips up the pictures, but the memory of his best friend is a lot harder to put aside. Babe has acknowledged that he hasn't tried to find love because Way made him feel like he didn't deserve it, now, he has let himself love Charlie, and accepted Charlie's love in return, but it's hard all over again to trust that that love is real, because the only other person he's ever loved used that to isolate and manipulate him...

Ugh. This show was supposed to be silly?

Boun and Pavel

I’ve been watching a lot of interviews recently and a parallel has just been rolling around in my head the last couple days.

Obviously, both of these individuals are very different. However, I find the following similarities really interesting.

Both Boun and Pavel have publicly said that they were just about to give up on acting. For Boun this was just before UWMA after struggling to find work and for Pavel we can assume this was shortly before the casting for Pit Babe.

Both of them are extremely talented and bring a genuine feeling to their characters — they both can and should be successful independently of their partners.

But what’s interesting is how similar their story is — because Boun has said that befriending Prem and working with him reinvigorated his desire to act. And in recent interviews, it seems that Pavel feels similarly towards Pooh.

Like these two newbies managed to unintentionally pull Boun and Pavel back into the sphere of things just is super interesting to me.

Friday Ramblings

Yup, doing this again because I just wanna say some things about a couple of shows. That's how this place works right? Am I doing it right?

First let me start by saying I will procrastinate on Kinou Nani Tabeta as long as I'm able because if I never see the last episode then it isn't really over. That's exactly how it works. (I'm right @lurkingshan, this is how it works?😢)

Middleman's Love

I'll say it again. I suffered through the mains and I was rewarded. My side couple is winning. That whole scene came out of nowhere and I'm not complaining. I am cheering!!! Chairs @lukaherehelp and teas @hermioneismyrealname went flying and I was squealing like a teenage girl. They are adorable.

Pit Babe

Ok. It's official. This show is firmly on omegaverse and I'm officially confused. Everything I know about omegaverse I learned on this site since the show started so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ And now there is pregnancy talk, Mama and Daddy talk and someone said enigma (thanks @pharawee because without you I would be even more lost ). I will stay here for Alan and Jeff because they are honestly adorable, but I'm getting a bit of main couple fatigue.

Twins

Honestly I like the Zee Sprite and First relationship a lot but he should've told the truth by now. Cause I'm not crazy about the future conflict, mostly because I hate lying so I'll be rooting against Sprite. Also I wish we had a bit more of Zee, so I could better understand his state of mind. And this whole thing about both him and first being jealous of Salmon was not my favourite.

The thing I love about Mhok ( one of several actually) is that he's not fearless, we can see he's scared, but he's too earnest and honest to let that stop him. He's testing himself, and Day, until that last moment in the race when he just can't do it anymore. Also because he knows, that he might have been reckless in the past, but this one is important, this matters, so he needs to take that step (yes I know) because one way or another, he needs to know. And that need, and his love for Day, are bigger than whatever fear he might have of the future. And I love that. I could talk about this show forever but I'm already tired from typing.
