I did know and also did you know the rumour about human bones is only half true. They used them in the California location in the 60s and have since replaced them with realistic replicas. But they have one human skull left.

Originally the pots on the windowsill in PotC use to shatter when the gun was shot at the mayor's wife! You can still hear the pot-breaking sound effect, but for unknown reasons the shatter effect was turned off.

In the honour of the Magic Kingdom POTC ride's birthday I thought I would bestow some of my autistic knowledge on you

In 1971 when Magic Kingdom opened in Florida, they brought over a tonne of rides from the original park BUT they didn't bring over POTC because they thought Florida was too close to the Carribbean, so they wouldn't find it new, exciting or exotic. This however caused major kickoff because everyone fucking loved pirates so in 1973 they were like "yeah okay we'll build a potc ride here!!!" And they did.

Walt Disney turned himself into a vampire in the 1960s so he could rule his media empire in perpetuity. Because vampires cannot cross running water, a team of imagineers built the It's a Small World ride in 1966 and sealed him within.

people swear the tower of terror has no specific smell to it like they think it's just hydraulic fluid but brother as someone who had to sniff sonny eclipse's fumes for multiple hours a day for 8 months and also rode spaceship earth like 5 times a week that is NOT hydraulic fluid smell

i've also heard it claimed that it's mechanical oil but the smell is specifically in the lobby and in the hallway scene so if that's not a pumped in smell idk what it is. it smells like perfumed mustiness it's absolutely delicious but no one has ever recreated this accurately for a candle or anything
