Galantis ⋆。𖦹 °.🐚⋆❀˖°
A Fan-Made Pirate101 World 🐌💧💻
Tumblr media
This post will cover the basics and main inspirations of my fanmade Pirate101 World, Galantis! I hope you all enjoy~
𓂃𓂃𓂃𓊝 ࿐𓂃𓂃𓂃𓂃𓂃𓂃𓊝 ࿐𓂃𓂃𓂃
Overview 🌊⋆。°்⋆
Galantis is a closed-off world in the Spiral, locked by the current Emperor; and guarded by his army. If a person is able to reach Galantis, they will discover a technologically advanced, oceanic paradise; hidden away from the rest of the world. The Stormgate to Galantis is located in MooShu, but is inaccessible to any travelers.
The initial reason for Galantis's closed borders was due to the Polarian War. The Emperor did not wish to get involved in the conflict, and feared involvement due to the relative closeness between Galantis and its neighboring world of MooShu. So, the borders were closed, and the Emperor ignored the outside world; instead focusing on the personal development of his nation through machinery and economy.
.•⋅˚₊The People ଳ ‧₊˚
Since many Pirate101 worlds, and to a further extent, Wizard101 worlds, have many diverse species of people; and Galantis is no exception. The people of Galantis are from the class Gastropoda; aka, slugs and snail-adjacent animals. They are specifically based on the marine variants of these animals, sea slugs and sea snails.
The current ruling Emperor of Galantis, Emperor Gyeong Glaucus, is a type of Glaucus Altanticus (See image below).
Tumblr media
Sea slugs and sea snails are very diverse animals from species to species, and this is reflective of the population of Galantis.
𓂂 ·˚ •Culture 🌊🪸
Galantis is inspired by East Asian culture, specifically South Korea and North Korea. Another main inspiration for Galantis is the legend of Atlantis, a city from Greek mythos written by Plato.
One major invention from Galantis is a form of energy source known as "Bio-Lumi Fuel". Bio-Lumi Fuel is harvested from the organic plant-life from the World, and is what powers a majority of Galantis's technology. Due to the power of Bio-Lumi Fuel, the Galantians have been able to invent their own forms of machines, robots, and screens.
Therefore, culture and trends are very mainstream. Many different styles of fashion have rose to popularity through the influences of music idols in the music industry.
Sea Angelic 🐌🪽
A fashion style known as "Sea Angelic" was popularized by the musical idol "Sea Angel" or Cheonsa Clione. This fashion style is more traditional, and takes inspiration from traditional Korean clothing and acessories. Such as the usage of the hanbok and norigae.
Cyber Screen 🐌💻
One of the most mainstream styles of fashion in Galantis: popularized by the most well-known musical idols, Nembrotha and BLUE SCREEN. This style is more akin to the styles of Cyber Punk, mixed with modernized fashion. The main elements of this style is the usage of the color blue, and the heavy reliance on Galantian technology.
These are only a few of the most popular fashion styles in this World.
˖°🌊⋆Landscape🐚🫧
Galantis has two main Skyways, Palansaeg Skyway and Nudibranch Skyway. It only has one Stormgate, located in Palansaeg Skyway; leading to MooShu. The land is a purplish-blue tint, and the skies are a deep purple tone. The player is able to see jellyfish-like animals floating around the Skyways.
Palansaeg Skyway (Korean: 파란색 스카이웨이)
The main Skyway of Galantis, containing the capital city, Soul City. Soul City is very urbanized, utilizing Bio-Lumi technology. The music industry flourishes in Soul City, allowing for the world as a whole to improve its economy.
Fun Fact: "Palansaeg" is the Korean for the phrase "Blue". So, Palansaeg Skyway roughly translates to: "Blue Skyway".
Nudibranch Skyway
The secondary Skyway of Galantis, mostly inhabited by farmers, religious figures, and those who wish to escape the bustling Palansaeg Skyway. The main industry in Nudibranch Skyway is food production, mainly algae, cnidarians, corals, and sponges.
Fun Fact: "Nudibranch" is a scientific term referring to sea slugs. It means "naked gills" in Greek.
⋆˚࿔How Outsiders View Galantis᭡.
Galantis, due to its closed borders, has remained in obscurity in the minds of the average people of the Spiral. There are some Galantian refugees found in MooShu, but not anywhere else.
The Armada, however, has heard rumors of Galantis's advanced technology; and wants to find a way to access the World to help set up an alliance between the Armada and Galantis.

the seven schools of ravenwood
Tumblr media
All Jimin Ghostwhisper’s young life, he was never afraid of the monsters. At the very end of Triton Avenue there was a gated off cave that led down to a street that had once been a thriving part of Wizard City. It had been overrun with undead creatures, leaving the Headmaster to gate it away, earning its name: the Haunted Cave. All of the kids on the street were terrified of it,  yet they all would dare one another to get close to it. Jimin was always the one who’d gotten the closest. So close that his fingers would trace along the skull symbol that was engraved into the metal and he could hear the groans of the rotting fodders and ghosts that were trapped behind it. He’d never really been scared of death or anything macabre. He did come from a long line of necromancers after all, so when he was enrolled into the Death School, it wasn’t all surprising.
He’d always been the quietest one though, sticking close to himself, not having many friends. In fact, Jimin had spoken so little that was how he had earned his last name: Ghostwhisper, having his voice often likened to the undead. It never bothered him, he almost liked it. Almost.
However, if Jimin was alone before, even when he had attended the death school when it was still attached to Ravenwood, he’d become even more isolated afterwards, when Malistare happened. Sure, Malorn Ashthorn did his best to give the new students a chance to experience a classroom. But eventually, they’d all fall into independent studies. The other students from the other schools, they started to steer clear of all death students. Fearing that they too would turn out evil like the former professor.
Along with ripping the school from Ravenwood, Malistare unleashed all the monsters onto the streets of Wizard City. The gates of the caves that had held them back for generations had broken, and now thousands of creatures flooded the once safe haven. The professors were adaptive though, telling their more advanced students to use it as a learning opportunity. Fight the monsters and clean up the streets. Which led Jimin to where he was today.
Some of the few braver students were the only ones who’d gathered up enough courage to race into the Haunted Cave, fight off whatever was in there for a quick reward before running back out. Jimin, on the other hand, would stay in there for a few hours, battling off any monster he faced, using it as the perfect opportunity to practice his more advanced spells, seeing how they truly affected his opponent, rather than hitting a golem over and over again. He’d been in there for just over an hour, with still manageable levels of health and mana. Doing pretty good, he thought to himself, maybe one more monster before heading out.
Standing on the sidewalk, he glanced around, looking for another target when he saw you for the first time. You were running around the street, racing toward the nearest field guard. In any other instance, Jimin would’ve thought you were just some overly ambitious student, thinking they were the chosen one, but upon notice of your novice robes and wand, both shock and worry rushed through him. You were an idiot. You had to be, considering no new student in their right mind would ever think to come here!
He watched in horror as the field guard struck you down, eliciting a hard grunt from you. Without a second thought, Jimin raced into the dueling sigil, taking the place beside you. You didn’t say anything as he summoned a banshee, a small spell, but enough to do the job. On your next turn, you summoned an imp. So not only were you a new student, you were a new life student. And again: a complete idiot. By the time it was Jimin’s turn again, he’d summoned a vampire, quickly and finally defeating the field guard, falling apart into bits of straw and cloth.
“Awesome!” You cheered out. Jimin didn’t, instead he dragged you to the sidewalk by your wrist. “Woah-”
“Are you insane?” Jimin hissed.
You furrowed your brows at him. “I’m sorry?”
“Do you- Do you not understand what you just did?”
“I’m helping to defeat monsters?”
“In the Haunted Cave?! You just ran up to a field guard!”
Cocking your head to the side, you looked between him and another one that was on the street. “Is that what those things are called?”
Jimin couldn’ believe his ears. You were an inexperienced, complete dunce. “Okay, listen. Just go back. I won’t tell Headmaster Ambrose, just. . . go back to the dorms. You’re gonna get yourself hurt.”
You opened your mouth to defend yourself, but nothing came out. He watched as your body language shifted, slowly nodding. “Okay. Thanks for, you know. . . helping me out back there.”
He stared at you for a moment. He was expecting more of a fight, but was a tad relieved you let it go. Jimin simply nodded. Taking that as your sign to go, you turned on your heel, heading towards the cave entrance, which was a couple blocks away at this point. “Where are you going?”
Pausing you turned back to him. “The dorms?”
“You can teleport back, you know that, right?”
“I can!?” Your eyes were wide as you fumbled for your compass, “How?”
“Press down, think of your dormitory. You’ll appear there.” He couldn’t believe he was explaining a basic task he learned before he was even enrolled to a new student.
“Thanks!” You gave Jimin a wide smile before you disappeared in a flash of green.
Jimin never thought he’d never see you again. It was a big city after all, and with so many students coming and going, it was a reasonable thought process. But as luck would have it, he would see you three days later in the Commons fishing.
“Hey you!” At first Jimin didn’t think you were speaking to him. “Silver!” That had his head finally turning. He didn’t recognize you in the sunlight, so finally he was able to have a full look at you. You had to have been around his age (how had you gone so long without being enrolled?), with small scars littered across any exposed skin. Surely you didn’t get those from premature battling, did you? “Hey, how’ve you been?”
He eyed you suspiciously, no one wanted to talk to him. Most students, regardless of their age, knew to stay away from death students. “Hi. . .”
“How’ve you been?” You asked, putting your fishing pole away.
“Fine. . .”
You either couldn’t sense his obvious discomfort, or you willingly ignored it. “I didn’t get your name. And I like knowing who exactly saves my rear,” you chuckled.
That last part had him confused. Were you typically saved by other people? Did you often find yourself in dangerous situations? How, if you’d only just arrived? “Jimin Ghostwhisper.”
“Woah, cool! I’m Im- Y/N. I’m Y/N.”
He frowned at your stumbling, but didn’t point it out. “No last name, I’m guessing?”
“Yeah, how do you get one? Headmaster said one will be earned, but like. . . how?” You asked.
“It’s earned typically from what you’re known for or who you are.”
“So you got Ghostwhisper because you can talk to ghosts?” You winked at him, nudging his shoulder.
“Sure,” Jimin responded flatly.
Ignoring his sarcasm, you continued. “Hey! Do you wanna go monster battling sometime? Professor Wu said I’m getting better with each class!” You brought your fist to your palm, cracking your knuckles.
“Are they letting novices battle now?” He raised a brow.
“Actually, I asked about it. The novice rule is for the youngin’s, not adult students.” You gestured to yourself. “But Unicorn Way mostly, easy cleaning monsters.” You huffed at that, crossing your arms. You obviously thought you were tougher than most of the school, which Jimin found a bit odd as an attitude for a theurgist; mostly pyromancers had that kind of ego. But on you, he found it almost endearing. Almost.
“There’s some rotting fodders tearing out my mom’s storm moons. You can help me clear some, how’s that?”
It was your turn to raise a brow at that. “You’re not asking me to garden because I’m a life student, right? Because I’ll tell you right now, no green thumbs.” You wiggled both of your thumbs in his face.
Jimin had to hide his smile at your small gesture. “No gardening, just monsters,” he promised.
A strange sort of agreement blossomed between the two of you. Whilst he wouldn’t have you accompany Jimin on his larger, more difficult quests, he would call upon you for the smaller favors he did around Wizard City. As you progressed in your classes, you’d go to more daring places, but still had to steer clear of the Haunted Cave. Jimin wouldn’t have you getting hurt on his watch.
But there was an odd peculiarity you’d do in battles: you’d heal him. After so many weeks at Ravenwood, Jimin would’ve assumed you’d realized that necromancers don’t need healing as they could heal themselves. Constantly, whenever he was low on health and near defeat, before he could even think of casting a spell to take the monster’s health for himself, you’d heal him. Calling upon a pixie or unicorn to heal him of his injuries. You’d never heal yourself though, only him.
Then it happened. You’d finally advanced enough to where Professor Wu gave you approval to try and battle any creatures in the Haunted Cave, only if you had an adept level student attending you. What luck that Jimin was magus in both his primary and secondary schools. You begged and begged him, until he relented. Agreeing to battle with you, help you gain field experience. Oh how he learned to regret it.
You’d already defeated a couple blood bats and one rotting fodder. Not half bad, but it took a bit of your health and mana, leaving Jimin to decide that you should head back to the Commons. But before either of you could teleport back, you were sucked into a battle with a field guard. Jimin rushed into the battle, shouting at you to heal yourself before casting an offensive spell. One hit from the field guard would defeat you, and Jimin could not have that happen. But you didn’t listen, he watched in horror as you casted the leprechaun spell. It barely did any damage to the creature, only angering it. Jimin screamed your name as the monster summoned itself to the circle, attacking you. You let out a scream in pain as your body vanished in a poof of green and white.
All Jimin could see was red as he casted any spells he had remaining at the field guard. He didn't think he’d ever defeated a creature so quickly before, but it didn’t matter, all he could think about was getting to you. Soon as the field guard was gone, Jimin teleported immediately to your location. Before he could ask if you were alright, you jumped at the sight of him, not even wincing at the scraps and bruises that covered you.
“Did you kill it?” Was the first thing out of your mouth.
Jimin stared at you in shock. “Yes, but are you okay-?”
“I’m fine, not the first time I’ve basically died, not the last.” You tried to wave off his concern, but that only increased it. You’ve been hurt like this before? Defeated in a battle? His worry must’ve shown on his face as you slowly realized what you’d said. “I-I mean, it’s fine. I’ll be fine-”
“No. You’re not gonna brush past that, what do you mean this isn’t the first time you’ve basically died?”
Your eyes darted from side to side, suddenly weary of where you were. Taking his hand, you lead him behind some bushes besides one of the few houses that lined the Commons. “Okay, Headmaster said I shouldn’t disclose this information so you gotta swear you won’t tell another soul. Got it?”
Jimin regarded your words with interest. Headmaster Ambrose himself said to keep to yourself about this? Slowly, he nodded his head.
“I’m not from Wizard City, or any of the neighboring worlds. I’m- I’m from a place far off in the Spiral,” you started. That much was obvious, Jimin knew students would come from all over. There were a couple transfers from Pigswick, but the farthest he’d heard a student was from was Grizzelhiem. You continued, “I’m from Skull Island. . . I’m a pirate. I was called Impish Y/N L/N.”
Jimin was stunned into silence. A pirate? He was a tad familiar with them, hearing bits about them from Prospector Zeke and his many, many travels but he always thought some of them were embellished. An entire haven just for pirates, safe from. . . the Armada? That was what he vaguely recalled Zeke saying.
Taking his silence negatively, you began to ramble. “I mean, I’m not a pirate, per se, I guess not anymore? I was just- raised there. My parents, you see, they died in a shipwreck, and the Wharf Rats took me in. I’m not gonna hurt anyone, I promise. Don’t call the Armada-”
“Relax!” Jimin said, grabbing your wrists, gaining your full attention. You looked at him with wide eyes. “I’m not gonna say anything. But, it does make sense.”
“Really?”
Jimin raised a brow at you. “The first time I ever met you, you were running head first into battle. No novice does that. Regardless of their age.” Licking your lips, you nodded, realizing just how reckless you were. “But what I don’t understand is how you’re a pirate and a wizard.”
You perked up slightly at that, the corner of your mouth quirking up just a tad. “I had a couple odd run-ins with some troggies. Thought I was a witchdoctor, but Madame Vadima said my magic wasn’t Hoodoo.” You glanced down at your hands, rubbing your fingers together as small green sparks emanated from your skin. “Said it was too lively, called me a theurgist. Asked around for what that meant, found out. I figured my parents, whoever they were, were wizards. Hitched passage across the skyways until I found myself here.”
“Skyways?”
“The pathways that connect us from world to world,” you said as if it was obvious. Jimin must’ve had a dumbfounded expression as you narrowed your eyes at him. “Have you never been on a ship before?”
He shook his head. “I hardly leave Wizard City, only ever traveled via World Tree.”
“Well then, I’m gonna have to take you one day,” you smiled at him. Already he could see the plans forming in your mind.
Jimin was silent for a moment, looking at you up and down. He couldn’t believe what he was about to do, having never done it before, but he figured you’d earned it. “Sure thing, Skyleaf.”
You furrowed your brows at him. “Skyleaf?”
“That’s what I said,” Jimin confirmed. “That’s you.” He poked you in the shoulder.
“You- you’re giving me a last name!?”
“I mean, you’ve more than earned it. Plus, I think it’s fitting.” Jimin shrugged as he tried to hide his smile at your reaction, basically jumping for joy.
“Skyleaf. Hi, I’m Y/N Skyleaf,” you said to yourself, practicing your new introduction.
Jimin rolled his eyes at you, “Come on. I think you and I deserve something to eat. My treat.”
“Oh! If you could find some yum or any place that serves yum, let me know. I keep talking to Prospector Zeke but he never brings any to trade,” you huffed.
With a roll of his eyes, Jimin patted you on the back. “I’ll try, but no promises. Come on.” With that, the two of you headed towards the Shopping District in hopes of finding something to eat. All the while, Jimin was quiet as you started rambling about your life on Skull Island, what it was like and how you miss it sometimes, about some of your adventures and pointing to certain scars, explaining how you got them. All Jimin could do was smile at you. Okay, maybe you were completely endearing.

POV: I finally explain BEAU
Beau: Butterfly Effect Au
in this au takes place in a alternate timeline after the events of Lemuria where the final battle goes horribly wrong. the Spiral completely rewind back to the start of the story with the Wizard erased from the picture. Leading to everything falling apart because whoops! the spiral’s entire existence depended on two feral children.
Now ruled by the villains of the spiral and the titans themselves are split into regions based on which titan and their council member claimed as theirs. With the only thing left keeping the spiral whole being a small resistance group shrouded in the ruins of what was once Ravenwood and Bartleby himself.
_____________________________________________________________
It’s something I'm still working on but has become a favorite side project of mine. so have as a little funny slice of what's to come with some designs for the resistance and council folks. Definitely hope to post more about it and lore in the future.

Emma Titansong - Nordic Champion and Honorary Bosun
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Age: 20
Level: 80/160 Life, levelless Buccaneer
Personality: Resilient, thorny, blatant, gruff, loving but not flowery about it.
Status: Holding on his own with a crew of her own, though desperately trying to make it back to her family in one piece.
Story: The Spiral used to be a game. Emma was one of the more hardcore of my characters from the get-go. A soloist Life wizard who primarily quested simply to challenge herself and his own capabilities. He 100%'ed Grizzleheim and Wintertusk, earning her title as Nordic Champion, and made it through Avalon's storyline before Nora's divine meltdown corrupted the Spiral and made it an entire universe rather than a family friendly MMORPG. The timeline was forced to catch up to Nora's consequences, stripping Emma of her own role as a The Wizard.
Emma's reputation was not completely lost, however. He still retained her status as Nordic Champion, and so was called to Grizzleheim to help them face their dose of Aberrant magic that Nora released: overwhelming Ice that roused Ymir and triggered the Everwinter. This was a task Emma could not take on solo, however, and so found herself having to ask some of Nora's old associates, the Arcanum, for aid.
Ugh, having to treat NPCs as people. Emma had raised a real stink about the corrupted nature of the Spiral. However, it was only with their help (as well as some more of Nora's old NPC friends, Mellori and Bat) that Emma was able to take down and lull Ymir back to his divine sleep. This great victory and the prosperity it meant for Grizzleheim earned her the surname Titansong.
However, Emma was now officially roped into the Arcanum, as were her two sisters Star and Savannah. Which meant getting officially involved in cleaning up more of Nora's mess. Nora had become an antagonist on the same tier as Malistaire and Morganthe, in Emma's eyes.
Nora's death in Karamelle hit Emma's family far harder than it hit Emma herself. When Star suggested the idea of finding a more stable home for Savannah and Nora's baby sister Iridian, multiversal friend Owen Macheca (@saturniidaze's main OC) offered to let the girls move in with their adopted family in the (Multiversal) Reconstructed AU (@clockwork-fiends). Emma at first thought it a pointless change for himself because as the 'oldest', she's still going to be responsible for cleaning up the Aberrant magic, so what does it matter where she lives? But, it's not like he could say the same for Savannah and Iridian, and Emma refused to leave her remaining family to face a change by themselves.
Emma found peace but a sense of dissatisfaction with her new life. As much as Wizarding had been about cleaning up the villains' wrongdoings and saving the Spiral, there was also always the prospect of actually defeating the villains themselves, the final bosses. Such a prospect could not happen in Corrupted Spiral, as Nora was already dead. It felt futile.
Emma wanted to be a classic Wizard so bad, like old times? Enter the Butterfly Effect AU (@klaraflamez). Its villains had discovered the presence of the multiverse and wanted to spread their influence throughout it. One such villain kidnapped Emma and imbued him with the magic and memories of all of canon up to that point, pulling him from 80 to 160 in an instant. The magic overwhelmed Emma and fed on both her preexisting Life magic and her preconceived notions of canon superiority.
Emma was eventually saved and that one villain defeated in glorious fashion, but not without consequence. Weakened and horrified, Emma wanted nothing to do with Wizarding ever again. She would need a long while to recover physically, magically, and mentally before daring to reclaim magic on his own terms again.
Thankfully, her adoptive family was able to give Emma the time and safety and stability needed to heal and cope. The only thing that couldn't recover was Emma's sense of purpose. With absolutely no desire to return to Wizarding proper (not even with the Arcanum), Emma struggled to find something to do, something to challenge her in a way she wanted.
A new opportunity sailed up to her doorstep, in the form of the Stray Dogs (also @saturniidaze), a crew of pirates whose captain was the estranged sister of Emma's adoptive dad's partner. (It's not as complicated as it sounds.) Emma took to the Stray Dogs and especially their captain, Kindra, like a duck to water. The only thing holding her back from joining the Stray Dogs full-time was his devotion to his family, which had extended to include the Macheca family as well. But being distant is not the same as being disloyal. The family encouraged Emma to follow her heart. And Emma's heart yearned for challenge.
Pirating was great! With a mix of melee and magic at her disposal, Emma became a versatile fighter as well as a sturdy and eager hand on deck. At last, Emma had found something that truly spoke to her ever since her first Spiral fell from canon.
Her reputation spread beyond the Stray Dogs, however. The Armada caught wind of Titansong's power as a mage, and so captured her for study and technological development. His excess of magic would prove a valuable test for the Bishop's extra-strength magical inhibitors. After a torturous few weeks and Emma finally convincing the Bishop that "neither of us fucking want this. Letting me go and dealing with the consequences is better than suffering my bullying forever. Twink", she escaped.
But now Emma is a wanted fugitive of the Armada, and with the inhibitors still on her (taking them off would force her to recover from all the mana drained) & weeks of wasting away in an Armada cell, Emma certainly can't survive the skies on her own. Enlisting the help of jaded Valencian Resistance soldier Gaspard du Vole, Emma is now on the hunt for two things: a way home and a safe method and time to take off the inhibitors, all while evading capture again.
Sure as the goose makes its migration, the newly-fledged Flock will find its way.

Fuck it, we posting the Pirateblade101 crossover AU ideas I have lying around. It’s basically the same story as normal Pirate101 but the characters all have access to varying blades. Most of what I have typed up atm is in this post.
How Combat works: Think Pirate101’s battle board system, though with some modifications. Companions have access to the blade stat modifiers, arts, battle skills, and field skills on top of their normal abilities. Specials from the blades become part of the companion’s power list, and upgrade on companion promotion. They function similarly to the guaranteed criticals some companions get, though with the effects of the special instead.
Blade List
Player and General Companions
The Pirate: They can technically have any blade NOT provided by a member of their crew, go wild with it if you write for the AU! However, my default blades would probably be Azami for Witchdoctor, Crossette on Privateer, Newt on Buccaneer, Roc on Swashbuckler, and Herald on Musketeer. Hell, if you put Rex in as a replacement for the player Pirate, feel free to give him Pyra/Mythra. Wanna add the other main characters to the crew? You can do that. Most of the rest of the list is what rare blades I’d give the varying companions.
Bonnie Anne: Vess (mainly bc of the electric element and Bonnie having a heal)
Old Scratch: Vale (her over the top edgy teenager vibe would be funny with Old Scratch’s down-to-earth magic)
Ratbeard: Gorg (Vibes)
El Toro: Theory (to go with Praxis on Sally. One of the Old El Toro’s used 2 blades.)
Monkey King: Non-driver, but is a Blade-eater (ties into JTTW with the whole immortality peaches thing)
Catbeard: Sheba (because the gays)
Gracie Conrad: Poppi (bc it fits her inventor deal) OR Poppibuster
Hawkules: Zenobia (monster hunting duo)
Choice Dependent Story Companions
Kobe Yojimbo: Perceval (purely aesthetic)
Wing Chun: Boreas (hyper man-child meets hyper child motivated by food)
Egg Shen: Nim (Vibes)
Subodai: Wulfric (Hulking big dudes with soft sides)
Kan Po: Ursula (He’d be a supportive mentor figure)
Barnabus: Agate (Big Axe…that’s it.)
Emmet: Dagas (Dagas is an offense support, much like Emmet)
Louis: Finch (Him getting frustrated at the forgetfulness amuses me.)
Mormo: Floren (Mormo doesn’t fall for Floren being manipulative.)
Sarah: Kora (Basically a repeat of Kora’s dynamic with Mythra.)
Gaspard: Perun (Vibes.)
Dead Mike: Kasandra (bad luck/good luck flux and pessimist/optimist duo)
Lucky Jack: Godfrey (Vibes of nice people. Plus pairing a bad blade with a really good companion is funny.)
Birgus: Electra (Big guy, tiny very shocky blade)
Milo: Adenine (she’s the actual brains)
Special Case
Mustang Sally: Praxis (Stole the core crystal when she left.)

I AM ASKING ABOUT THE AU. Tell me abt Khonsu. Tell me about Deacon's fursona. Please. I am so intrigued.
ok so the au is like an extension of pirate101’s main story :3
there’s three new worlds (Rajah, Krokotopia, and a fanmade world with sea slugs/snails based on Korean culture + cyberpunk) plus Andalusian Skyway in Valencia!!!
The main plot is about Queen rebuilding the Armada after Kane’s “death”. After failing to get Deacon to re-join her, she repurposes an old clockwork from Krokotopia (Khonsu) into a Deacon replacement. Khonsu is the main antagonist of Krokotopia, which is focused on the Armada’s expeditions and colonial holdings in Krokotopia (based on Deacon’s Rouge’s Gallery, which says that the Armada gained parts of Krokotopia).
Also Deacon get’s a “good” design during this time, and helps the Pirate in their adventure in Krokotopia!
Khonsu is a Privateer boss who is fought at the end of Krokotopia, and is based off of the Night and the Knight chess piece. The name, which belongs to Khonsu, a Moon God in Egyptian mythology, was picked to fit the Night theming.
Due to Khonsu being Deacon’s replacement in the Armada, he frequently insults and mocks Deacon. He believes that Deacon is inferior to him (Khonsu’s very self-centered and flamboyant). Which is why I made this post in reference to this meme :3
thank you for asking!! im willing to answer any extra questions about the au if wanted :33

Ao3 tag game!
THANKS @ragecndybars FOR THE TAG I APPRECIATE IT
*cracks knuckles* lets do this
How many works do you have on AO3?
24 works! I would have never expected to have that many 5 years ago, hahaha
What's your total AO3 word count?
186,291! oh wow, almost 200k!! (unsurprisingly PT minato takes up over a third of that LMAO)
How many fandoms have you written for, and what are they?
10 fandoms! I'm counting Persona 3, 4, and 5 and separate, but I'm grouping all the Zelda fandoms together since it's all Linked Universe fic.
Here's the breakdown!
The Legend of Zelda & Related Fandoms (6)
Persona 5 (5)
Persona 3 (5)
SPY x FAMILY (Anime) (3)
Wizard101 (Video Game) (3)
SPY x FAMILY (Manga) (3)
Runescape (Video Games) (3)
Pirate101 (Video Game) (3)
Persona 4 (2)
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom (2)
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood & Manga (1)
Star Wars - All Media Types (1)
The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Warriors (1)
Top five fics by kudos:
The Ghost of Mementos/Stygian Ringlet (Persona3/5) - to the surprise of absolutely no one, since this is currently my longest fic. I'm very happy with Stygian Ringlet being the top because I love my boys :)
True Crime Special on the Midnight Channel (Persona 4/5) - my Ren has a TV Dungeon fic! also very proud of the dungeon concept for this one, I really need to finish the last two chapters
Dark Clouds on the Horizon (Linked Universe/TOTK) - I feel like this one got a lot of momentum partially because it was directly in the wake of TOTK's release, but I'm happy with how it turned out :)
Strangers Are Just Friends You Haven't Met (Persona 3/SPY x FAMILY) - this was a collab series with mewrose and a few others in the marigolds discord! we were throwing ideas at the wall to see what stuck and I really had a lot of fun with Shinjiro-related prompts, because I LOVE him and hitting him with the isekai baseball bat into a universe with Anya brings me great joy
Salt Tears and Raindrops (Linked Universe/TOTK) - directly related to Dark Clouds, and I'm glad people enjoyed good ol' fashioned angst >:) (I do need to post more of my wips, I do have a couple more roleswap AU wips that I want to post)
Do you respond to comments?
Yes! I almost always do because I really appreciate them and its my way of saying thanks for the comment! If I don't comment it's because I lost track of it or because I can't think of a response.
What's the fic with the angstiest ending you've ever written?
Probably Salt Tears and Raindrops. I was in a Mood and decided to go for the tried-and-true method of putting fictional characters I like through the emotional wringer. That's how I got the rough draft for this fic :)
Do you write crossovers?
*looks at my persona fics and recent LU fics*
...I think it's safe to say most of my fics these days fall under crossovers lmao
Have you ever gotten hate on a fic?
I wouldn't say I have? One or two comments that came off as rude, but no actual hate, thankfully. If I did, I forgot about it. I've been blessed by wonderfully nice readers <3
Do you write smut?
Nope. I don't read it, so I wouldn't know how to write it anyway.
Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I know of? I sure hope not.
I have seen a couple short fics slightly imitate Ghost of Mementos though, which I thought was really sweet that they liked it enough to inspire their own writing.
Have you ever had a fic translated?
Nope, but I'd definitely be open to it!
What’s your all-time favorite ship?
RYOMINA. Hands down. I love them so much, I am so mentally unwell about these two
What’s a WIP that you want to finish, but don’t think you ever will?
My two Runescape fics, Whispers in the Temple and Welcome to the Jungle. I absolutely loved going hogwild with rewriting old quests in Runescape, but I psyched myself out of Welcome to the Jungle because I got overly anxious about accidentally doing bad representation.
(in hindsight, it probably wouldn't have been as big a deal as I thought; it's hard to make it worse considering how bad Legend's Quest was with the british-african stereotypes. that quest DID NOT age well.)
I also want to finish Snake in the Grass; that was my first attempt at a genuine mystery plot and I really liked playing with Warriors in that fic in the context of the gang trying to figure out who the heck is trying to murder him.
What are your writing strengths?
I feel like I'm pretty good at dialogue! I try to make sure it matches the character's speech patterns and personality. Really well-written dialogue can tell you who's speaking without actually telling who it is. (For example, the way I write them: Minato speaks as few words as possible and has very little filter with his observations when he does share them, and Shinjiro is pretty rough around the edges, with shortened words and the occasional swear. Warriors is good with words and wit, but he has a certain military-esque directness and doesn't dance around the topic.)
I do try hard to keep the plot clear and understandable over everything else, so probably that as well.
Also, now that I think about it, maybe fight sequences? I don't do them much, but I do enjoy the challenge of making a clear sequence of what happens in a fight and trying to make it understandable. Fight sequences are easy to skip or gloss over, but I think of them like their own miniature plot. What happens? What surprises are there? What are their movesets? How do they get the upper hand? (and of course, what looks cool as fuck)
What are your writing weaknesses?
Time management. I tend to over-proofread since I beta my own work, and often I'll go back to tweak stuff if I had additional thoughts to add to it, or extra insight. Lately, it takes longer to write chapters than I'd like.
Also, dialogue-heavy scenes often get very chaotic in my WIPs because of the way I rough out fics. I'll throw together a bunch of dialogue bits I think would be cool to include, and sometimes they'll clash or get really messy, especially if there's lots of characters (looking at the latest two chapters of Stygian Ringlet)
What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fics?
I think it's cool! It adds flavor to fics. If it's more than one short phrase though, or if it's story important, then I do prefer that there is a translation in the author's notes. I haven't done any non-English dialogue in fics, save for one memorable adventure into trying to figure out how Latin grammar structure works for a character that didn't speak English.
What was the first fandom you ever wrote for?
Wizard101 and Pirate101. I was obsessed with those two for YEARS. I really, really liked pirate stories in high school, and having a cast of crewmates that accompany you throughout the game really inspired me to write my first fic featuring my OC. (I was also into One Piece at the time, but I never wrote for it.)
What’s your favorite fic you’ve written so far?
Stygian Ringlet. It's really dear to my heart. I have poured so much love and effort into that fic, and the reception on it has completely blown me away.
THANKS FOR THE TAG!! Uhhhmmm for tags I'm going to go with @skyward-floored, @catreginae and @breannasfluff (but only if you want to!! no obligation of course)
and of course any other writers that want to do it as well!! go forth

Pirate101 ask Meme!!!
Questions 1, 2, 4, 5, 6,7, 9, 10, 12, 18,27, 28, 34, 38, and 41!!!
oh man that's a lot of questions, ok lets go
1 - Favorite crew member/companion?
bonnie anne my beloved. she’s so cool I wish foxes were real.
2 - Favorite world?
marleybone. the aesthetics and music go hard and the story peaks here
4 - What is your favorite class to play as and why?
musketeer for soloing cause it's the easiest imo and also the most fun, privateer for group play cause I like playing support
5 - What are the backstories for your Pirate? (Parents' death, where were they trained, Etc.)
Esmee: armada/skull island. Grew up among the rats in the sewers, having to steal what she could to get by, leading to her being quite adept at sneaking and using daggers. Strongly despises the Armada since she lost her parents to them, so she tends to be a lot more reckless whenever in a battle against clockworks.
Remmy: storm/marleybone. Was aboard a ship with his parents and sister, Maeve, when a storm struck. His parents died in the storm while he and Maeve where separated. After which, he was found by a Marleybonian ship and the dogs took him in. He grew up in Marleybone training to be a privateer but eventually found ranged weapons to be more to his liking. Was aboard a cargo ship tranporting weapons to Port Regal when he got captured in ambush by the Armada, and met Esmee that way.
Brynn: lost/marleybone. AU character of my ice wiz Brynn, just thought it would be fun to have her as a pirate so yeah no backstory.
Flint: mutiny/mooshu. haven't really worked out a backstory for him, this is just what it says in game. Will likely be change once I develope him more.
Maeve: squid/krokotopia. As mentioned earlier, she is Remmy's sister who was seperated in a storm (that a squid may or may have not been present in idk yet). Ended up in Krok where she learned magic.
6 - Who is your LEAST favorite crew member/companion and why?
wing chun, his voice and personality is a bit grating. idk I don’t really hate any of the mainline companions, and most of the non-story ones aren’t memorable and are lackluster combat-wise so they all meld together, so again I don’t have strong negative feelings towards any one in particular.
7 - How many Pirates do you have?
six, have five maxed out, the sixth was actually my first pirate I made, a musketeer named Ingrid, but I didn't make it that far into the tutorial before stopping. Later I made Esmee and it was then I got super into the game. I don't plan on questing with Ingrid anytime but I don't really feel like deleting her so she's just kinda there
9 - Any headcanons for your crew?
uuuuhhhheeeeuguh i got nothing sorry
10 - What does your flag look like? What are your crew colors?
Esmee
Tumblr media
Remmy
Tumblr media
Brynn
Tumblr media
Flint
Tumblr media
Maeve (hopefully I stay settled on this one instead of changing it a fifty more times)
Tumblr media
12 - Do you headcanon anyone as LGBTQIA+? If so, who?
yeah I got a few. Bonnie: Lesbian, Ratbeard: gay, Toro: bi, Gracie: aro/ace, Sarah: lesbian. I would include Catbeard but that's canon now so.
as for my pirates, Esmee: ace, Remmy: bi, Brynn: pan, Maeve: trans mtf.
Flint is the token straight who's on thin ice
18 - Opinions on Cool Ranch?
love Cool Ranch. Visually it's gorgeous and the music absolutely slaps, however some parts of it drag and I don't like having to choose between wearing something culturally offensive or having shitty stats for my witchdoctor.
27 - Is there anything you wish was in the game? (Crafting? Fishing?)
tbh I find crafting really annoying in wiz so I hope it never comes to pirate. But I would love to see events akin to wiz's lost pages/five boxes. Especially five boxes I would love to see pirate get its own version of that.
28 - How long have you been playing Pirate101?
at least 3 years, can't remember exactly when I started
34 - What are the hardest and easiest parts of the game to play for you?
easiest is pretty much everything up until Cool Ranch, which is where the difficulty starts to ramp up. hardest is definitely the new updates, Tartarus and Wheeler especially.
38 - Is there anything you hope for in a future update(s)? What would you like to see?
would really love to go to Albion sometime. as for features, pretty much stuff we already have in wiz like character name/appearance changing, option to hide quests, and setting a minimum player requirement for team up, and please for the love of all that is holy give us the option to trash doubloons
41 - How did you first discover Pirate101? (Commercial, a friend, fanart, etc.) What inspired you to play?
kind of always knew about it through wiz, wasn't until around 2020/2021ish that I got interested in playing

🐎 Would you ever do a medieval or pirate au?
I could be persuaded...though if it's a pirate au there's a 112% chance that it will be based on pirate101 alskjdalksjdlaksjd
