I tried to stream on twitch. (Thank you for the inspiration @marasims !!) 

It worked..... sorta? Until (and I only noticed this while rewatching T_T) the visual started lagging more and more, and it got cut off entirely after 36 minutes. I’m not sure what happened there, haha. Perhaps I need to try another software? Or maybe it’s too stressful for my laptop....

Blanche’s teenage years fly by, and before I know it, he’s off at college!

I downloaded this dorm from meriel at Mod the Sims. I did do a little bit of remodeling on the inside. I found the rooms a bit too large, and there were a few too many of them. I was worried about lagging, so I cut off access to the top two floors.

Anyway, Blanche becomes a philosophy major at Pippangård University.

The thing I love most about stretching these textures up to cover the entire half-globe is how present the clouds are when I move around with the camera.

It is a really strong illusion.

Might have to revisit some of the older textures and see if they need stretching. They've been sitting in your downloads folders for what, three years? They could do with some exercise. :)

I've added a small town-grid of streets to this terrain to make it more versatile. Here is a little neighbourhood spam. :)

Still to do: thumbnails of the four climates to include in the zip files.

Oh, and the pic is 700px wide. Most of my pictures will be from now on, because I like it. So click to view them at their best. :)

I played the Nilsson family the other day. Pernilla Nilsson, my founder, has two daughters by a townie woman but for some reason she refuses to fall in love with her "girlfriend"; and as I play by following wants mostly, that means she's a single mother still. It's hard sometimes, but she manages, and has the townie woman come over to help and bond with her daughters who are growing up. Pernilla simply doesn't seem able to bond, which is the cause of internal conflict for this poor Family Sim. Not even an affair with the good witch who taught her the ways of the light has so far lit any sparks in her...

Despite this little unfolding story I've found it hard to connect to the Sims themselves. Editing pictures gives me a bit of the enthusiasm back, but I miss my old NLC3 family... I might dig up some pictures. They had an interesting story and were such fun to play. This family feels a bit secluded and away from the rest of the world for no real reason -- perhaps I should move them into a town environment. In other words, I'm suffering Sims ADHD. :P

Also I changed my icon! I'm still the same person -- don't get confused! -- but was feeling like a change. I do love Pernilla's face. :)

Thank you to those who came in at my very first LiveSimming session! It was fun revisiting some of my older 'hoods, directly chatting and showing my game behind the scenes to you all :) And I got around to some decorating while at it! I might have to make this a regular feature to get myself to open up my game more often xD

Random but, do you live in Scandinavia?

I do not, actually! But I can see how you'd get that impression, as I got very inspired by the Scandinavian landscape when I was on holiday in Sweden last summer. It might show in my Sims pictures. :D The lake terrain of Pippangård was meant to represent a generic Swedish lake; and although the river terrain of Greylings was created as a supposedly English countryside, I did decorate it with the beautiful pine trees that have more northern associations ;)
