I finished my first medieval Sims video! It’s a broad overview of my MCC settlement Arianburh, and a few main factors I always consider when creating a landscape for a town. Hope you enjoy watching!

I hope you’re all well, Simming friends. I know I often disappear, but this game still has my heart after so many years. Now..... who among you remembers the good old Livejournal days? Just today I got an e-mail from them that it’s been 13 years since I created my account with them. As it happens, I had just been re-reading many of my posts there (2008-2011 were the heydays, really, what?! where does time go?) and realised how much I loved just writing and talking to all of you. I hope to be able to do that more often again in the future, because I miss it.

As for video creation, I’m still learning the ropes, so bear with me :) However I really enjoy sharing my towns in video format! Please let me know what you think, I value your opinion.

Hurray! Thank you! I stayed up way too late last night editing... So it’s uploading now and will be online in an hour or so, for anyone who missed Nimi’s neighbourhood antics.

The river is not a perfect fit, of course, but it came surprisingly close on the Greylings terrain. With the right camera angles, that just adds so much more magical dimension to the ���hood.

Hi Criquette! Thank you for the amazing Christmas gift! I even found out that the horizon and river parts also fit on one of my terrains, so it's even more magical. I recorded a video with my first reaction scrolling through Feverfew and picking apart *some* of what you've done in the NH decorating. I saw you gave permission to another youtuber to post their video, so I hope it won't be too much to ask if I can upload mine too? (with proper links obvs) Have a lovely new year <3

You’re most welcome @nimitwinklesims! I’m glad that you could use the horizon in one of your neighborhoods. Especially because of the river that makes it quite tricky to use with multiple terrains. Of course you can upload your video on Feverfew! It’s yours now, enjoy yorselft! :D And may I just add that if someone else wants to make and upload a video or to stream featuring Feverfew neighborhood – feel absolutely free to do so!

Aysha Farooqi

The mother of Nimi’s child. 

Aysha started her career as every young kid nowadays wants to -- as a youtuber. That’s right, you heard it here folks. It’s possible. 

She composed instructional dance videos, originally aimed at a desi audience, though as she grew up, elements of modern dance seeped their way in. It just grew from there to working with people on shows, organizing festivals and getting involved in the desi dance community.  She’s spent the last few years traveling for performances, instructional experiences and networking. 

Currently, her passion project is a music and dance festival that she has gathered the resources to put together, the goal being to feature desi groups from around Europe. If this goes right, it’ll happen again next year and the year after that and the year after that. 

Nimi’d love to say they met her at one of these events, that they charmed their way into her life with a cup of coffee and discussions about the positive influence of culture on the youth. But nope, they met because they forgot their umbrella and she offered to share, and they bonded that day over the cute unicorn on their sweatshirt that ended up on the floor of her apartment hours later. 

It wasn’t a romance. Those have whispered secrets and sweet kisses. This was just texts in the middle of the night and the warmth that followed.

By the time Nimi knocked her up, the two could barely be called friends.. 

Having the baby was hardly a question-- Aysha didn’t want an abortion. But keeping the baby? That’s a whole different ball game. But it’s easy enough for her to get swept up in the life growing inside her, in Nimi’s excitement, in the bright energy of the new apartment and the fussing over nursery colors and onesie fashion. She’s in this.

Getting married isn’t in the books for them, honestly, even living together forever isn’t. They’ve moved in together to raise the baby together to begin with, two different rooms and though they might sometimes share a bed, they don’t share a life just yet. 

They hardly know each other. 

They live in two different worlds which overlap for this little one.

Hello dear tumblr Simming friends! I made a new video and it is now live on YouTube for your viewing pleasure. :)

Let me show you around all of my Sims 2 neighbourhoods..... and not just pictures..... but LIVE! 

Why did it take me so long to jump on the ‘Tube wagon? Videos are such fun.

I revisit my neighbourhoods that I loved to pieces and got corrupted, old testing cities, all my terrain-making WIPs, actual prettified terrain WIPs... and you get all the behind-the-scenes peeks and stories behind every one of them! 

This is part 1 of at least a 3-part series, because the Modern edition breaks up into 2 parts and then I also have some Medieval neighbourhoods. 

So that means there’s more to come. :)

Let's start at the very beginning... ♪ I have assembled a LOT of Sims 2 neighbourhoods over the years and if we are to make that channel any sort of representation of my Sims creations similar to what I shared here on tumblr over the years *coughdecades*, I need to show you ALL OF IT. 

Plus, I always really enjoy looking at other people's neighbourhoods, especially hearing the stories behind them and how they developed, so I hope you will enjoy this in return too!

Oh my God you guys!!!! I just logged onto MediaFire because I want to preserve my files and -- over 10.000 of you downloaded my skies! And the terrains have also been seriously popular. I still get notifications of likes and reblogs, and love it when you tag me in your posts where you show off your decorated neighbourhoods!

I last looked at the numbers when it was like a thousand or something, and I felt so honoured then, but wow! Thank you for your continued support and love over the past 10+ years. I know the skies are outdated now and I adore how far we’ve come as a community. It was/is an absolute honour to be part of that journey.

soooo a little RL update: I have TS2 on my laptop now and that makes my life feel complete! I just haven’t been playing a lot.. I HAVE been creating cool things though and if you like Celtic harp music and want to follow me on that journey and support me..... I tried to stream on twitch. (Thank you for the inspiration @marasims !!) 

It worked..... sorta? Until (and I only noticed this while rewatching T_T) the visual started lagging more and more, and it got cut off entirely after 36 minutes. I’m not sure what happened there, haha. Perhaps I need to try another software? Or maybe it’s too stressful for my laptop....
