I liked Prue and Piper, and if I had to choose one of them, Piper is my favorite.

Honestly, I totally understand why Piper would be the favorite of someone. She's so relatable (at least to me). She's the middle child and the peacemaker between her sisters. She has a soft and kind heart. She's kind of shy and an introvert. I loved her romantic side. I could totally relate to her especially because she had a hard time saying "no" to others. Her character development is so good.

Prue... I believe, when I started watching Charmed, I just admired her. She's strong, fierce, protective of her sisters, takes her responsabilities. She's the big sister who grew up a lot, quickly, and took care of her Piper & Phoebe. She always thought she needed to be the "strong one", and she forget she also needs help and assistance. I love how she comes to say "I love you" to them and accept that sometimes they can help her too. And that's not a weakness.

I really think Prue, Piper and Phoebe are all relatable in a way and that everyone who watch can like at least one of them.

Thinking about how Camp Half Blood is named after the campers/demigods whereas Camp Jupiter is named after a god (and the shittiest one, at that)

And how in HOO Percy notes (specifically Son of Neptune) that the Greeks fight in a more individualistic style whereas the Romans rely on strength in numbers

And I can't help but think it's bc the Greek demigods are trained to think about themselves as a person (thanks Chiron) whereas the Romans are trained to think of what's best for the group/the gods

These three paragraphs… Rick Riordan nails it. He nails my problems with Aphrodite's blessing to piper, he nails the concept of authentic vs inauthentic beauty, and he nails describing jason's feelings of being trapped his dad's shadow (something that applies to piper too, honestly). These have to be some of the best paragraphs rick riordan ever wrote. I loved them so much I had to transcribe them and share them here:

Jason still wasn't sure how he felt about that. He'd acted like an idiot, announcing in front of everyone that she was a knock-out. Not like there'd been anything wrong with her before. Sure, she looked great after Aphrodite zapped her, but she also didn't look like herself, not comfortable with the attention.

Jason felt bad for her. Maybe that was crazy, considering she'd just been claimed by a goddess and turned into the most gorgeous girl at camp. Everybody had started fawning over her, telling her how amazing she was and how obviously she should be the one who went on the quest - but that attention had nothing to do with who she was. New dress, new makeup, glowing pink aura, and boom; suddenly people liked her. Jason felt like he understood that.

Last night when he'd called down lightning, the other campers' reactions had seemed familiar to him. He was pretty sure he'd been dealing with that for a long time - people looking at him in awe just because he was the son of Zeus, treating him special, but it didn't have anything to do with him. Nobody cared about him, just his big scary daddy standing behind him with the doomsday bolt, as if to say, "respect this kid or eat voltage"!

frank turning into a dragon in the mark of athena evacuation when it was the beginning of the book and when it wasn't even his pov, even though we as readers and camp jupiter as a collective had no clue he could DO that...you really had to be there. even annabeth was like HUH. later books have people fixating on his ability to be a swarm of bees but where has frank seen a dragon before that he could imitate? he'd never shapeshifted in his life until the day before and offpage decided to do a mythological creature as opposed to an animal. he just came up with that!

Hi! So, update on your SoS propaganda campaign... it has worked frighteningly well on me. I finished the first 2 books in less than 2 weeks, which is impressive when you consider dyslexia is a thing. I'm currently only held back from devouring the third because of the library wait list. Impatience is making me chew on my non-existent shield. I might need to make fan art. yk how on instagram reels there's these booktok posts that are like "When it's that characters pov (In a bad way)" and all the comments are talking about Jason and Piper? Well I hate it because Jason is the best and Piper is an icon so I always comment stuff like "Nico" and respond to comments with "Fr Jason is almost as bad as Nico, hate that guy". SCULLY: You're working down here in the basement, sifting through files and transmissions that any other agent would just throw away in the garbage.

MULDER: Well, that's why I'm in the basement, Scully.

SCULLY: You're in the basement because they're afraid of you. Of your relentlessness. And because they know that they could drop you in the middle of the desert, and tell you the truth is out there, and you would ask them for a shovel.

how much it means, in a world where so many things are ignored or dismissed, so many people are ignored or dismissed, to spend your life working next to someone who could be dropped anywhere and just ask for a shovel. who never stops looking, never stops caring, never stops wanting more for people, just because he believes they’re made for more.
