I am in the process of editing and revising my first Youtube video! This has been an on and off dream of mine for like 7 years at this point, but I've finally taken the plunge and gotten to work on a channel. I wanna talk about all sorts of fandoms (including the riordanverse ofc) With videos ranging from plot and character analysis, to trends in fandom culture in general, to fun little ranking videos and speedpaints. All around, I just want the channel to be a fandom hive, where everyone can find something they enjoy.

I already have PNG's created of my sona to use as assets (And I have a sparkly new sona, the one in the pic above!) and I have two finished scripts, with the first one being fully recorded as well! One for my first video, which will be a retrospective on Gravity Falls, and one for a video about the Percy Jackson TV show, the inherent differences between TV and books as mediums, how I think the TV show could improve, and the things I think it got perfectly. I also have a bunch more ideas, such as:

BIG Trials of Apollo video essay, with a focus on how the books and the fandom have effected me over the years.

Ranking all of my favorite characters from all of the media I've been a fan of over the years (This would be over 70 characters)

Explaining the Iliad, but make it funny (with a side of Troy apologia)

Reading Lore Olympus and pointing out how it deviates from myth (the things I'm willing to do for you people /j)

Canon vs. Fanon, where I compare a characters canon characterization with their fanon counterpart and try to figure out how things turned out the way they did.

Now here's the big question. As I said in the part above, I'm struggling a bit now money-wise. And I really wanna make this project work, but there's also, you know. Tuition. Rent. Food. like i get it. i really do. we seek community and shared experiences, and we feel betrayed when people have less in common with us than we thought they did. [*more on this later.] but that's not those people's faults and my god in the case i'm seeing play out on twitter rn this poor person did absolutely nothing to intentionally mislead people, just posted pictures of their actual kid self. who looks a lot like i did, because shockingly enough "we can always tell" doesn't fucking work for trans people either!

on the one hand i move in intersex circles which are unapologetically welcoming in cis "dyadic" people with pcos, because it serves nobody to draw a clear line where mutilation or genetics or some ineffable childhood suffering are what make somebody intersex, especially when most of us (esp in places like nz) have never been karyotyped and are being treated for symptoms without a pinned-down cause anyway. the more of us there are the stronger we are, the more pressure we can exert on a medical profession which doesn't like to consider how common outliers are, how uneasy sex is at all. and then on the other hand there's dyadic trans people on the internet who've yelled me out of spaces because a couple of traumatised incarcerated trans women i worked with as a prison abolitionist assumed i was also a trans woman and i didn't immediately tell them my entire csa-involved history of being sexed in varying ways as an infant and child and/or exactly how big my phallus was at birth or where in my junk config my urethra lives so they could decide i was tme or whatever.

Bllk Season 2 Episode 13 Review

I’ll do two of these in a row. Just now getting to the episodes.

The ‘trance train’ speech was a little confusing. And it’s crazy to see, Rin is paying so much attention to Isagi— they’re gonna devour each other[lmao that sounds so dirty].

But this goes back to the Bluelock matches when Rin picked Isagi. He knew Isagi was gonna be a problem for him, so instead of letting him get to that point, he brought him to his own team.

So seeing Sae actually go at the whole team is crazy. Like damn none of these niggas could guard him?? And yk what Rin being upset about Sae being so far ahead of him was pretty sad, and I want their relationship to be better again, but at the same time I’m thinking there’s no time for this. Get up, win the game, and then start the flashbacks like omfg.

But, it did pay off, with him thinking about how to play like Sae, he followed Shidou’s path to get the ball. Then ofc Shidou gon kick him in the face. Red card. Ejected. Rn get him off the field. Then I’m wondering if his face is okay, cause Shidou was bout to kick the ball with all his strength.

Thinking about Sae’s awakening, I feel like he’s really taking blue lock serious now. Maybe I’m reaching but why else would he go so hard. I mean, like I said, this game means nothing to him and I doubt it would affect his career in any way. Even if it’s only a little bit, maybe he’s finally realizing the talent of the Blue lock 11– especially Isagi. For Rin he probably still sees him as the annoying younger brother.[canonically doesn’t know why Rin is mad at him. He thinks he’s going through a phase]

Most of their relationship we see it from Rin’s POV anyways so who knows what he’s really thinking of his little brother.

STILL got my money on Isagi and that game winning go. Maybe it’s gonna be like a parallel with his first game shown— bc like how he passed and they missed— causing his team to lose the game. But now, he’s not gonna pass and he’s gonna make the shot and win the game. Yk. Some growth.

I really like all 3 boys, but I'm leaning Zayne bc he's just so husband coded. He's the only one I could see a long-term relationship w. I love Xavier and Rafayel, but I just can't picture them as husbands or dads (at least w my MC/myself). I also desperately need them to interact in game and in the main story, there's just sm potential for chaos and funnies.

I honestly dk what will happen next. Obviously, MC is gonna want to investigate Onichynus and her heart, but idk how that story will unfold or how they'll tie in the stories w each li and their separate myths/reincarnation bit. (Also, the fact that the myths happen in the future doesn't make sense to me yet, so I hope they plan to really flesh that out and not give us questionable writing like most mobile otomes do). Idk how I feel abt Sylus (and possibly Caleb) becoming lis, ig I'll have to see what they're like and if they appeal to me at all, bc so far we haven't had enough Caleb content for me to actually get attached (I was also convinced he was MCs brother so idt I'll ever be able to see him romantically 😭).

I hope we'll get to see more of the side characters and what MCs life is like outside of just the three guys, but I honestly doubt it lmao (more for me to hc abt ig lol).

At first I wanted to talk about my alphard x lyall agenda but I realised already shared it with you before xD

I have so many smut prompts saved in my wip folder and I dont think I’ll ever write them (at least not in the foreseeable future) and since you like kicking the dog I can talk about the Dom Drop. 

I remember I wanted to read a fic with dom drop but there are almost none - thats how I found Seventeen hours by eyra and its one of the greatest fics ever and I need to leave a really nice comment bc im almost sure I still haven’t. In fact there are so few works tagged as dom drop or top drop that you can’t even filter by that tag (but you can by sub drop tag). And I think this is a great injustice. 

So the fic concept goes like this; it includes an under negotiated kink (to some degree at least). Remus suggests something he wants to try but he’s worried that its weird. Sirius says “who cares if its weird” and agrees to do it. (I dont have a specific thing in mind rn but it probably wanders into a not-so-safe category). After a while Sirius starts feeling guilty after he realises he’s enjoying it (bc he is convinced he isnt supposed to be enjoying hurting Remus) and Remus has to convince him he is not a bad person and its actually a good thing that he’s enjoying what Remus requests of him. 

Or something along those lines.
