I gave it some thought right….The epilogue kinda comes full circle. Especially when it comes to Katsuki feeling behind or not enough.

Katsuki internalises the idea that he’ll never be good enough when it comes to Izuku. A huge part of Katsuki’s character is his inferiority complex, which he never seemed to learn how to tackle properly. During the war he was still thinking about how he fell behind from Izuku “izuku…can I still catch up to you” and then Izuku goes and loses his quirk before he can rationalise his feelings properly. Katsuki then spends 8 years on this suit to ‘settle a score’ or ease the idea that maybe he is as good as Izuku, that he is valued, and can stand on equal footing. That maybe what Izuku said on ground beta wasn’t a whole load of bullshit. But when he’s given Izuku an offer to join his agency Izuku rejects it because, at the end of the day, the feeling of inferiority was never an issue with Izuku but had engulfed Katsuki his entire life. What if Izuku did just want to teach and Katsuki was in this one-sided relationship for the last 8 years (we won’t know until the official epilogue comes out) and disregarded Izuku’s feelings about their shared rivalry? That Izuku could still be by his side and could still have a shared love for heroics but just in a different way.

I love the idea of Izuku moving on from the rivalry/co-dependency they had for years. Kinda getting rid of or letting go of Katsuki like Katsuki tried to do all those years ago from middle school to UA. It’s interesting to see Katsuki stuck 8 years in the past when we all thought it would’ve been Izuku (with losing his quirk and all) it’s so karmic. Like wow there was a time when Katsuki wanted nothing to do with Izuku while Izuku desperately clung on but nearly a decade later Katsuki wants nothing but Izuku and Izuku just simply wants to move on.

The sound of laughter rang out from a small training room on the lower floor of the dorms. Kirishima was on the ground, laughing with his head back and his legs kicking as Kaminari awkwardly pinned him, half kneeling over his middle. The cause of his laughter was Kaminari tickling as avidly as he could along his stomach with his one free hand.

“YahahAHA- nohoho Kahahahahaminariii-hehee!”

“Tap out! Tap out!” He pressured his friend incessantly. “You know you want to!”

“Noohhoho!” Kirishima cackled.

“Oi! You guys better be done in here by 9 or I’ll kick your asses.” Katsuki grumbled loudly from the doorway as he passed by. “And stop being so fucking loud.”

Kaminari and Kirishima looked at each other for a moment, stopping their goofy ‘spar’, and looked at their explosive friend.

“Why don’t you just come train with us?” Kirishima asked, waving him in.

���Train?” Bakugo gave them a skeptical once over as they both stood. “What the hell are you guys even doing in here?”

“Training.” Kirishima smirked at him. “No quirks, though. Just a good ol’ spar.”

“Yep. Just gotta get the other person to tap out.” And then Kaminari winked as he added. “By any means necessary.” He wiggled his fingers at Kirishima who swatted him away.

“Yeah right, I’d kick your asses in a second.” Bakugo huffed, starting to walk away.

Kirishima rolled his eyes dramatically for Kaminari’s benefit. “Big talk for someone so ticklish.”

“Hah-?” Bakugo turned around with wide, angry eyes. “What did you just say?!”

Kirishima raised an eyebrow, unphased. “You heard me.”

“Why you little- what are you talking about? I’m not even- you’re stupid- what-”

“Come on then, spar with us!” Kaminari riled him further. “Unless you’re scared?”

“You extras couldn’t even dream of beating me!” Bakugo took a step into the room. His friends’ grins widened.

What Bakugo didn’t expect off the bat was for both of them to team up and gang up on him, knocking him over on his back after a few minutes of constant battering. “Screw you guys!” Katsuki shouted, bringing his palm up toward Kirishima.

“Ah, ah, ah! No quirks!” Eijirou scolded him, grabbing the arm. “Don’t be a sore loser now!”

“LOSER?! HAH! YOU’RE THE LOSERS!” Katsuki fumed, struggling as Kirishima climbed over his thighs and Kaminari leaned across the arm that Kirishima wasn’t holding.

“Don’t wanna give up yet? That’s fine~.” Denki teased, and then brought his hands down to pinch at their explosive friend’s ribs.

“BA-FFFFF-FUCK! HA! NO!” Bakugo protested loudly, wiggling under their pin and kicking his legs.

“Toooooooold you~.” Kirishima sing-songed. “Now, don’t worry, all you have to do now is give up.”

“NEVER! JEHEHEHERKS!” Katsuki shouted as he started to laugh, unable to avoid the constant plucking of fingers along his side and ribs. Soon, one of Kirishima’s hands joined the fray and tickled along his stomach and hips. Bakugo shrank into the floor, laughing stubbornly under his friends’ ticklish assault. It would be a while before he gave in, they all knew it.

Katsuki was ‘never’ getting dragged into this type of ‘training’ again! He barely got in five minutes of actual hand to hand combat before the two of them pinned him down. And now, he was going to spend the rest of their sparring time laughing himself silly. At least it would be an ab workout? Eventually, he would tap out. And the three of them would laugh. And in the coming days, he would exact thorough revenge of both of them.

MHA 431 EPILOGUE LEAKS SPOILERS

This must’ve been the moment he realised his feelings would never be reciprocated. He had lost at ever telling Izuku how he felt because, honestly, how could he? he was spending all those years catching up to how great Izuku was, learning to be worthy of this friendship, that the chances of more slipped by. This was a goodbye for Katsuki’s heart but his mind and body would have to see Izuku next week when he’s repairing or making changes to the suit. He has to see Izuku when he’s doing guest appearances for his class. He has to see Izuku when he asks him out for coffee to catch up. it’s painful because Izuku will always be his best friend above all else and he can’t lose Izuku not at the expense of his feelings…No, Katsuki Bakugo can never lose.

Prompt 100 - "Would you just shut up and tickle me already?"

A/N: you're right and you should say it. have some lee bakugo! also I have been thinking a lot about them playing catch-a-kacchan to train blackwhip I love these sillies so much.

“Can you even move a muscle like that, Kacchan?” Midoriya asked, glancing down at his friend.

Bakugo lay, spread out and wrapped up in tangles of blackwhip tendrils with his arms out to his sides. Izuku sat over his middle, just over the top of his thighs. Behind him, blackwhip held Katsuki’s knees and ankles down to the training mat as well. “Shut up, Deku.”

“I won catch-a-Kacchan today... And you know what that means~…” Midoriya wore a triumphant smirking grin, his lip pulled up slightly to the side.

“Oh my god.” Bakugo gritted his teeth, face on fire. “Would you just shut up and tickle me already?”

Deku beamed down at him, letting out a stupid, adorable laugh and squeezing his eyes shut as he grinned. “Sure, Kacchan, I’ll tickle you if that’s what you want.”

“ARGHHGH! Shut UP!” Katsuki groaned. “I already said it, ok? Just get it over with!”

“Of course, Kacchan~!” Midoriya’s eyes reopened with determination, his fingers lunged toward Bakugo’s ribs.

“EYYH AHHH!” Bakugo shrieked —something he would deny to his grave.

Deku started on the lowest rib, tickling from the front near his abdomen over to as far along his side as his hands could reach on either side. Bakugo snorted, shaking his head as he refused to laugh outright.

“You know you wanna laugh. Don’t hold back on me now, Kacchan.” Izuku teased, moving his way up Katsuki’s ribs slowly. It was hard to tickle Kacchan like this, slow, gentle. He was bold, explosive, hard to pin down. Nearly every other game of ‘catch-a-Kacchan’ they played while training with blackwhip resulted in Bakugo tapping Izuku before he could catch him. Sometimes, he, uh, also got exploded. Lately, Kacchan had begun turning their game into a tickle fight, going for a poke instead of a simple tap to show off. Then, he’d started tickling Izuku for losing afterward whenever they trained alone. Sometimes, even when the rest of the class was training nearby.

Kacchan had it coming. And, Izuku could try something that was likely new to them both. Growing impatient, he suddenly brought his hands right up under Bakugo’s arms. His armpits were slick with sweat from training as Izuku slid his fingers into place and started to slowly, gently tickle under Bakugo’s arms.

“NaHAHAHA DEKUHUHU UGH- NOHOHOHO! YeheheheHEHEHE YOU’RE DEHEHEHEEAD WHEN I GEHEHEHET OUT OF THIHIHIS! Hahaha noHOHOHOHO!”

Katsuki regretted wearing his summer outfit to train today. Holy fuck. No one ever really tickled him like this. It was bad. The nerd was going to kill him. He was never going to lose catch-a-Kacchan again.

Looking more into the white tiger and lion story and the other animals used to represent 1-A, it almost seems intentional

Zabu, the white tiger, and Cameron, the lion, were rescued from the New Hampshire Zoo in 2004. They were raised together to cross-breed. They were cared for at Big Cat Rescue, and the staff totally shipped them! They even have their own ship name, Cambu

Let's look at the official MHA x Tobu Zoo art

All the animals used in the promotion seem to coincide with the character's personalities:

Ochaco Uraraka - Red Panda

Eijiro Kirishima - Southern White Rhino

Tsuyu Asui - Spotted Seal

Kyoka Jiro - Snowy Owl

etc.

Zabu and Cameron's story is pretty well-known among animal lovers and people alike, so if they really wanted to, they could've used a different animal for Izuku (a lion fits Katsuki way too well). Looking at Tobu Zoo's list of animals, I personally like a meerkat and a llama for him.
