I've been reading Casey's new book and I almost forgot to post. But here's another snippet from my @aroyallybigbangrwrb college AU. This part is not beta-read since it's taking me forever to finish this chapter.

Monday after lunch with Henry went excruciatingly slow until their class. Professor Coleman gave them a knowing look the entire class but Alex insisted on ignoring him. That didn’t stop him from making a comment about how much quieter Alex was on Friday without Henry, he didn’t get that annoyed since it at least earned him a pink-faced Henry.

On Tuesday, he went back to harassing Henry with his emails and whenever the Brit tried to complain he didn’t mind bringing up how he shouldn’t have ignored Alex for 5 days. As they have been doing the past few weeks, they ate lunch together but despite them trying to invite their friends, they all refused. He text-yells at Rio and Nora separately, knowing they must be planning something.

On Wednesday and week after their not-date, a guy in their class had the audacity to ask Henry in front of Alex, how he couldn’t stop thinking about him since last week and if they could grab drinks together. Alex didn’t even try to hide his grin when Henry kindly told him he is not interested. He is sure Oliver gave Alex a dirty look and for a second Alex didn’t care that he should be hiding his attraction for Henry. Fucking Oliver needs to know Henry deserves better.

On Thursday, he was done with the campus coffee and forces Henry to go to the coffee shop Naila works at. Henry regrets ever introducing him to the place. After classes, they stayed at the library with the excuse of studying, but instead, they spend the entire night chatting and teasing each other. Or more like Henry going on rants about Lord Byron and Oscar Wilde as Alex teased him about it.

However, disbanding a cult from the inside was not the best place to develop a love story, and both went through many tribulations which constantly put Naila and Rowan in danger, some of them near-death experiences.

It also caught up with their last years of Hogwarts, and studying while all else wasn't easy at all. In fact, Naila's grades were affected for most part. But all's well that ends well.

After disbanding the cult, Naila and Rowan got together officially and dated shortly before graduation. For many years, they stayed together without ever marrying one another, both not seeing it necessary.

When they were both in their late thirties, they welcomed their first child, Sophie, who was their entire world.

Title and summary for the upcoming light novel, "The Protector's memory of them under the sunlight"~!

For those unknowing, this story is set in the Blue Horizon verse.

Have decided that I want to have a post up with the light novel (novella)'s title and summary since it doesn't spoil that much at this point (due to Twitter pitches and site + comic lore dump) and looks a bit cute. There are a few worldbuild notes that are still obscured (including the name of the "artifact").

Hope it'll be of interest soon~! I'll announce when I'm ready to ask for beta readers. It'll be sometime in the next weeks.

He wouldn’t really be paying attention as you explained it, too busy staring at how your lips moved when you spoke or how excited you had looked, or the way your hair kept falling in your face—

“Are you even listening, Ron?” “Y–yeah! Of course!” He’d say, sitting up a little straighter as he flushes pink

You knew he wasn’t actually listening and you swatted his shoulder with pursed lips, briefly explaining it again and he tried his very hardest to pay attention this time, which didn’t end up happening

He’d end up eating a few marshmallows at first because he still hadn’t fully listened the second time you had told him, too focused on how your hand brushed against his unintentionally, feeling like electricity on his skin

He’d think you’d look ridiculously cute with your chipmunk cheeks, the tips of his ears burning crimson when a bit of drool comes out of his mouth from the obscene amount of marshmallows he’s got stuffed in there

Of course you laugh at him until the same thing nearly happens to you, and neither of you could say ‘chubby bunny’ at this point

Now the both of you are laughing at nothing in particular in the Hogwarts kitchen because once Ron Weasley starts laughing it’s rather hard for him to stop, especially when in the presence of someone he undoubtedly has feelings for

You end up accidentally knocking the copper bowl off the table, sending it clattering to the floor loudly with a series of metallic clinks, the both of you flinching at the sound. More-so when a voice sounds and it’s Filch making his nightly rounds around the castle

With widened eyes you’d grab his hand and rush out, running down the darkened corridors with hushed laughs and away from his hoarse, grumbling voice before he has the chance to see the two of you

You’d both be out of breath by the time you reach the portrait to the common room, neither of you realizing the fact that your hands were still clasped, immediately dropping them with nervous laughs as you averted your gazes

“That was close” “Yeah, it was”

You wouldn’t realize how close you were to each other until you turned to look at him, faces far closer than expected, and you’re both staring for what’s only a few fleeting moments but it feels like a lifetime

Your gazes would bounce to each other’s lips, to eyes, to freckles, and back to lips again

You both look would away immediately, cheeks burning with embarrassment of being so close, butterflies erupting in your stomach

More nervous laughter

When it dies down and he looks over at you, the way you’re looking at him makes his smile fade briefly in awe before it’s tugging at the corners of his mouth again

Before he can stop himself he drops a kiss to your lips and it’s soft and hesitant, his nose brushing against yours lightly as he pulls away with a nervous and airy laugh, a bit flustered. “Sorry I���”

He’s cut off when you lean on your toes and kiss him again and it’s just as soft as you grip the collar of his robe gently, his lips tasting of marshmallows

It’s ended all too soon and his cheeks would match the color of his hair and he wouldn’t be able to contain his smile as he tries not to make it obvious just how awestruck he is or the fact that his legs felt like jelly now

But the moment is quickly interrupted as Filch spots your silhouettes in the middle of the corridor and surely he’s seen the distinguishable mop of red hair that could only belong to a Weasley, your eyes meeting those of the grumpy caretaker as Ron tugs you through the door behind the painting

A RAJASTHANI ‘AFFAIR’ TO REMEMBER

‘Vita Pulchra Est’ is Latin for ‘Life is Beautiful’ and our recent stay at the Oberoi RajVilasreaffirmed the aphorism. Laveena and I visited the royal resort, built in a traditional Rajasthani fort style, last month, and fell instantly in love with what the grand property had on offer.
