NICKNAME(S): Prinny

AGE: born in 1762, he is played on this blog as in his forties, and is not yet Prince Regent (although that may soon change)

MORALITY: lawful / neutral / chaotic / good / neutral / evil / true 

RELIGIOUS BELIEF: George was raised very strictly in the Protestant faith with the expectation that he will one day become the Supreme Governor of the Church of England. Despite (or perhaps because of) this, he is an indifferent church-goer and detests most sermons, though he enjoys drinking with bishops. His current excuse for not attending the nearby Church of St. Nicolas in Brighton is that it is at the top of a very steep hill. He is rather distressed that the faithful of Brighton are planning to build a new chapel at the bottom of the hill especially for his convenience. 

SINS: greed / gluttony / sloth / lust / pride / envy / wrath (he often persuades other people to share in his vices, insisting friends overeat or drink too much, and has a passion for encouraging adulterous affairs)

VIRTUES: chastity / charity / diligence / humility / kindness / patience / justice (he has few virtues, but his kind heart redeems many of his vices)

PRIMARY GOALS IN LIFE: A lover of beauty in all things, he wishes to gratify his own exquisite taste and share it with the world. Often he will come to believe any lie he might tell and thus his powers of self-deception often succeed in fooling others. He loves being ill because it is an excuse to stay in bed and be fussed over, and so makes much of every cough and sniffle. His growing corpulence is a great blow to his vanity although he pretends not mind it. He devours every caricature and article written about him, even though they depress and frustrate him, and then pretends to be above reading “such tripe”. WEIGHT: This fluctuates quite a lot, but is currently somewhere between 16 and 18 stone. 

SCARS/BIRTHMARKS: The aforementioned scars on his neck as well as the scars on his backside from being whipped as a boy. It annoys him that the scar he gained from wounding himself to prove his love for Maria Fitzherbert has mostly faded away and it takes him a little while to discern it from his stretchmarks. 

ABILITIES/POWERS: He is extremely well-mannered, clever, and articulate (even while drunk), a fine judge of art, plays the piano, the cello, and the flute, sings well, knows how to talk and how to listen, and can make himself agreeable to just about anyone should he set his mind to it. He is no snob and can be very kind-hearted. He supports many charities, is against slavery (although he cannot bring himself to quit sugar), patronises a society against animal cruelty, hates executions, gave up watching boxing when he saw a man die in the ring, and is exceedingly generous (albeit usually with other people’s money). He is charming, elegant, very witty, a good rider, can drive any vehicle on wheels, and does devastatingly accurate impressions of all his acquaintances.

RESTRICTIONS: He extremely emotional, perpetually in a dazzle, can’t shoot for beans, has no real idea of how much anything should cost, and often requires the support of his lovers and friends (who may not have his best interests at heart). COLOUR: He loves all colours, but his favourites are blue, pink, green, and gold. He is a magpie, attracted to anything that glitters, although he understands what suits his large figure and lately has chosen darker, more somber styles under the influence of Mr Brummell. His choices in interior design, however, grow brighter and more eclectic by the day.

MUSIC GENRE: He loves all sorts of music, employs a German band, delights in opera — particularly Rossini — enjoys cello pieces, will sing old catches and glees with anyone who cares to join in, taps his foot to keep time, invites soloists to perform for him, and will even dance a hornpipe or a fling if he’s in the mood (although lately he has begun to refrain due to his weight).

BOOK GENRE: He mostly enjoys light reading: poetry, romances, and comedies — although this is not a rule. He adores Jane Austen’s sharp wit and Walter Scott’s lavish narratives. He will inevitably end up putting himself inside the novel and agonising over the characters’ feelings as though they were his own. When he is alone, or as alone as a prince can ever be, he reads aloud to himself and “does the voices”.

MOVIE PLAY GENRE: The same. He has a particular affection for Shakespeare’s comedies and Sheridan’s farces. He will watch tragedies, if they have actors he admires, or has been told he ought to go, but they make him cry.

SEASON: Spring. He loves to see the world renew itself.

CURSE WORD: Damme, damn’d, God damn, and all varieties thereof.

BOTTOM OR TOP: It varies between lovers and circumstances. He desires to be admired and treated with deference but longs for the security of a guiding hand. Without someone he can trust by his side, he will often go into an emotional tailspin. So, physically, it can go either way but emotionally he prefers a stronger partner.

What do you think of the discontinued list and the Jelly Bombs?

Since I live in Australia the discontinued list doesn’t effect me much yet, although I did pick up a few of the items on the list so I can try them now while they’re still around. There are a lot of items on the list that I will miss though, and I’m not looking froward to the day they leave shelves over here.

Yuzu & Cocoa shower cream - I love this product and I’ll be very sad to see it go. I’ve gifted this shower cream to many friends and family and they all loved it. It’s my mums favourite! I think out of all the products being discontinued, this is the one I’m most upset about.

Massage bars - the first products I ever bought from Lush were massage bars and both of them are on the list. These bars and the concept of naked products is what got me into Lush in the first place, so it’s sad to see so many leaving. In particular I’ll miss Percup and Dirty. There are also a few I haven’t even tried yet, I suppose I better try them soon incase I need to stock up.

Blackberry bath bomb - I really enjoyed this product when I tried it, and I’m a huge fan of the scent too! I was confused about this one because it’s one of the original Lush products.

Shower Jellies - So far three out of four main line jellies have been discontinued, and while they are introducing a lot of new jelly products, I do hope they replace these. Pink Custard really got me into shower jelly this year so I’m going to miss these.  

There are many more that I’ll miss, but I also understand that discontinuing so many items leaves room for loads of beautiful, new, spectacular products! I love Lush so much and it’s so exciting watching them release these awesome new inventions and formulas.

The Jelly Bombs look amazing! I’d like to try them all eventually, especially Dark Arts and Green Coconut, because I think I’d like those scents and colours.

It’s great that they’ve created a bath bomb that turns the water black. It’s something lushies have wanted for ages, and although there are products and bath cocktails that create dark coloured water, Dark Arts is on another level. I think this bomb would put on an amazing show, well worth any mess/clean up.

I was telling my boyfriend about these cool new inventions and we compared them to having a mud bath. These aren’t just bath bombs, its an experience. They will stimulate your senses while soothing your body. So excited about these!

Today's mini LUSH haul 😊 the Mothers day products have finally arrived to Sweden! So I got Yummy Mummy and Pink Custard. I love the Yummy Mummy scent but I only got 100g because I have so many soaps and shower gels that I also want to use and I also travel a lot so 100g is perfect for me. I've never used a shower jelly so I'm very excited about using it in the shower today! 😊 I also got a facial toner that I haven't used before. I've tried Euroma Water before but I like trying out new stuff so I hope this will work good on my skin. 💜

A comforting twilight bath 😌

I may not be a mother, but that doesn’t mean I can’t stock up on the Mother’s Day line from Lush. 😍 Stephen surprised me by taking me down to Omaha a couple days earlier than I expected so I’d have some goodies to relax with before I go to the doctor next week! He knows the way to his wife’s heart is through her Lush stash.
