What is it that you’re trying to teach me God? Did I something that caused all of these to happen ? What is it that I did that make it so hard for me get where I am. What do you want me to do?

When I half assed a job interview, I ended up getting an offer. That’s twice already it happened. But when I really really want a job, I can’t even move past the first round. When I asked friends and family to pray for me, I never got the job. But when I literally didn’t tell anyone, the offer came in silver platter.

I just want to know. Am I asking too much God? Is 75k annually too big of an ask for you? Is that too high for you? Is what I’m doing not enough for you?

I don’t have a child, I don’t have a well paying job, I don’t even have my own place . What is it that you want me to understand God? Can you feel my heartbreak right now? This is like hearing ping2 pregnancy announcement all over again. Can you hear me God !?! Because I really feel your silence now.

Grammar

1. 正好

正好 can be used as an adjective to mean "just right", indicating a certain condition (in terms of time, position, size, quantity or degree, etc.) is met (i.e., it is neither too early nor too late, neither before nor after, neither too big nor too small, neither too much nor too little, neither too high or too low, etc.).

苹果八块五，西瓜十一块五，正好二十块。

你来得正好，我的钱包不见了，借我点儿钱吧。

正好 can also be used as an adverb to mean "it is the right time or opportunity to do something.

我们下午要去踢足球，正好一起去吧。

我妹妹出生那天，正好下雪，所以爸爸妈妈叫她 ”小雪”。

2. 差不多

差不多 can be used as an adjective to mean "approximate" and "without much difference".

这两个电子词典看上去差不多，左边这个怎么这么贵？

他们俩是在国外旅游的时候认识的，性格差不多，所以很快就成了好朋友。

差不多 can also be used as an adverb to indicate being close in terms of degree, scope, time, distance or quantity, etc.

A: 班里同学你联系得怎么样了？来多少人？- B: 差不多一半儿把。

女儿上中学后，个子长得特别快，现在都快一米七了，差不多跟我一样高了。

差不多 vs. 几乎

Similarity: Both are adverbs, indicating being very close or similar and can serve as an adverbial modifier.

他汉语说得很好，差不多/几乎跟中国人一样。★

Differences:

a/ In case ★, 差不多 can be used right before a monosyllabic adjective, while before or after the adjective following 几乎, there must be other words.

他们俩差不多高。

他们俩几乎一样高。

他比我几乎高了一头。

b/ 差不多 can precede a numeral-classifier compound, indicating being close to this quantity, while 几乎 has no such usage.

李老师差不多六十岁了。

c/ 差不多 can also be used as an adjective to serve as the predicate, indicating being similar and without much difference, while 几乎 has no such usage.

姐妹俩性格差不多。

d/ 几乎 can indicate something undesirable almost happened, yet finally didn't; 差不多 has no such usage.

这件事我几乎忘了告诉你了。

(Note: 差不多 ~ xấp xỉ; 几乎 ~ gần, suýt)

3. 尽管

The conjunction 尽管 is usually used in the first clause of a complex sentence to state a fact, often coordinating with words indicating transition such as 但是/可是/却/还是 in the second clause, which introduces the result that won't occur under normal circumstances.

尽管已经毕业这么多年，我们还是经常联系的。

男朋友送给我的这份礼物尽管不贵，但却让我非常感动。

你喜欢什么类型男生？- ni3 xi3 huan1 shen2 me lei4 xing2 nan2 sheng1? (what type of guy do you like?) -> my teacher said you can also use 类型 to describe your type :D

地道 - di4 dao(no tone) (authentic) -> in response to the question above, I asked my teacher if you could also use “菜“ to describe your type, and she laughed/ looked really surprised and asked me how I knew that because it’s a very authentic way to say it. I was like “umm....I have friends who teach me fangirl slang” XD

Ping Shuai Gong

Unable to contain his curiousity any more, one evening this uncle who, like me like to do solo road exercise walking decided to engage me in a friendly conversation. Seeing me standing and swinging my hands up and down for 30 minutes while bending and straightening my knees  he asked me what kind of solo exercise that I was doing on the hilltop. "Hand swinging and knee bending exercise known as Ping2 Shuai3 Gong1 ( 平甩功 )," my response. Ping2 Shuai3 Gong1 is a very simple qigong exercise, also known as swing hands exercise that can be practiced by anyone, anywhere and anytime. Ping2 Shuai3 Gong1 benefits its practitioner by improving balance, making the joints and muscles more fluid and allows the entire body to relax. The flow of energy through the body will also fortify the muscles, joints and bones by making them stronger and healthier.  The sequence of movement can bring blood circulation to the end of our limbs quickly and easily, as the qi and blood redirected back to our internal organs, our body and overall health will improve after constant practice and allowing them to heal and strengthen as they should. Elaborating further, I told him that I would stick to the recommended schedule of doing the exercise 3 times daily in the morning, evening and night before bedtime whenever possible. To get the full benefit, the practitioner should do each set of the hand swinging and knee bending exercise for the minimum of 30 minutes. At the end of 30 minutes the practitioner will have swung his hands front and back and up and down 1,200 times. Thus if he consistently  practices the exercise 3 times a day, at the end of each day he will have executed the total accumulated hand swings of 3,600 times. During the course of our friendly conversation I found out his name is Mr Foong, age 66, obese and an asthmatic and his exercising to manage his health issue. He asked me to show him how to do Ping2 Shuai3 Gong1 which I happily obliged by having him to copy my movements as we swung our hands and bent and straightened our knees together. After the count of 200 swings, he had to stop as he was fast running out of breath. Reassuring him, I told him that it is usually difficult for the beginner and those with health issues to manage 1 set of 1,200 swings and stand for 30 minutes all in one go. Hence he should do only as much eg.not more than 100 swings and 3 minutes initially as his health allows him and gradually build up the number of swings and duration to 1,200 times and standing for 30 minutes duration each set and doing the exercise 3 times daily.

Aku mau cerita ah waktu pertama kali kenal raihan sampai sekarang. Biar bisa keinget dan dibaca ulang nantinya. It started when aku punya temen namanya dinda, dinda ini temen segugus sama raihan waktu mos, awal banget kan kalo mos. Dinda bilang ke aku kalo ada temen segugus nya yg ganteng dan namanya raihan dan aku cuma sebatas nanya yg mana dan kebetulan raihan nya lg gaada. Mos kita kumpul di aula dan belakang ku cowok dia ngomong mulu sm temen cowo sampingnya, aku dalem hati udah ngomel2 karna dia ngomong sendiri:( ketika balik dari aula dinda bilang raihan yg mana ternyata raihan anak yg banyak omong itu tadi. Dinda nih pengagum nya raihan sampe aku juga, aku heran kenapa mengagumi raihan waktu itu. Sampe akhirnya aku cuma sebatas kagum doang sama raihan ada niat untuk memiliki pun tidak. Aku deket sama kakak kelas dan kakak kelasnya bisa dibilang gabener banget woe mainin aku dia. Galau dah aku. Sampe raihan lewat depanku aku biasa aja, biasanya wih2 alay sm anak2. Dinda ini berbagi chatnya dengan raihan terus dikirimin ke aku, isi chat nya becanda2 unyu. Aku dengan sok2an ku gamau kalah dong, zuzur aku ni anaknya cupu tp gatau kenapa waktu itu sok2an bgt jadi anak. Aku minta pin bb nya raihan ke dinda, yg jelas gak dikasih sama dinda. Aku tidak pantang menyerah guys, aku minta ke temenku cowok yg kebetulan juga temennya raihan, alhamdulillah dapet guys. Aku add di acc sama raihan, udah. Aku gak ngechat tidak ping2 juga, cuma emang sebatas pamer ke dinda kalo aku punya pin nya raihan. Eh besok paginya, hp ku ni dibajak sama teman2ku yg baik di ping si raihan, dibales dong sama raihan dan seterusnya yg bales temenku aku lupa isi chatnya apa aja karna sebagian besar yg bales anak2. Chatku terakhir kalau gak salah udah gak dibales sama raihan. Malem pulang sekolah aku di ping? terkejut terheran heran dong aku. Mulai dari situ kita chat2an, kita sering tengkar karna raihan ternyata gebetannya banyak guys dan sering ketauan aku, yg gak jago nyelipin gebetan jangan ditiru kayak raihan. Dari situ aku mulai gak percaya sama raihan, tp aku nyaman, tp aku bingung. Sampai akhirnya raihan decide buat nembak aku, aku gak langsung jawab karna bingung dong. Aku baru jawab sekitar 2 minggu dan bilang iya. Selama 2 bulan pacaran kita hampir gapernah adem2 aja penuh dengan kobaran api. Raihan bilang ke aku dia sayang cewek lain, gimana gimana bingung kan, tapi masih belum putus tapi bilang sayang cewek lain, pusing banget waktu itu. Sampe akhirnya kita ada salah paham dan raihan mutusin aku, awalnya aku gamau tp akhirnya ya yaudah kan. Kita masih usaha tuh buat bisa benerin masalah2 yg dulu, tp aku liat raihan nge klakson kakak kelas ceue, aku mikirnya dia deket sama kakak kelas itu, esmosi dong aku. Aku bilang ke dia kalau kita udahan yg bener2 udahan maksudnya tidak perlu ada yg diperbaiki, aku capek pokoknya gitulah pas itu. Raihan tidak mencegahku waktu itu, ya yaudah im single. Dapet beberapa hari raihan nge line ngajak nonton maksudnya apa? habis nge klakson cewek terus ngajak nonton hah. Masih kesel, aku jawab "liat nanti aja" cool banget kan aku. Selang beberapa bulan raihan nge gonceng cewek dong dan ceweknya bukan kakak kelas itu, ternyata berburuk sangka ku salah. Jadi waktu itu pernah nemuin raihan gonceng cewek itu aku dibelakangnya digonceng temenku, temenku excited pengen ngejar dan pas2an gitu ceritanya, kenapa ya waktu itu kepikiran gitu. Temenku nih ngebut udah kayak rossi deh biar bisa balap raihan kan, eh raihan nya belok gang dong, temenku kecepetan motornya sampe mau kepleset di pasir2 gitu malu banget woi. Aku berkali kali deket cowok, sampe paling lama deket sebulanan sama cowo dan dia baik banget. Tapi mungkin aku masih berharap ada dari raihan yg ada di dia ya. Jadi gabisa. Aku deket lagi sama temen cowok kelasku disini aku udah ngerasa aku mungkin sama nih anak ya, tapi tidak ternyata. Raihan comeback lagi. Curhat mamah dedeh tapi ke mamah dinda. Aku lupa gimana, tapi tiba2 raihan chat aku lagi dan posisi nya disitu raihan masih punya pacar. Aku gamau dibilang pelakor gais aku bales seadanya. Tapi makin lama raihan kayak deketin lagi tapi lewat cerita2nya ke dinda. Dan disitu aku jg lagi deket sama temen kelasku kan. Aku bingung disitu takut nge php in temen cowok ku ini dan raihan yg udah bilang ke dinda tp gak putus2. Dinda bilang aku buat disuruh nunggu raihan aja. Raihan putus wkwk dan mulai buat chat aku. Kita disini agak lama pdkt nya sekitar 2 bulanan santuy kayak di pantuy. Dan aku juga ngerasa gak perlu buat buru2 kayak di awal minta kepastian gitu2 pokoknya dijalanin aja. Kita deket sekitar bulan september dan raihan ngajak buat ngulang semuanya dari awal bulan november and i said yes. 1. Bổ ngữ khả năng (2)

a/ 动词 + 得/不 + 动

Động từ 动 làm bổ ngữ khả năng biểu thị hành động nào đó có thể làm di chuyển vị trí của người hoặc vật hay không.

A: 你一个人搬得动吗？- B: 这张桌子不重，我搬得动。

已经爬了半个小时了，我有点儿爬不动了。

b/ 动词 + 得/不 + 好

Hình dung từ 好 làm bổ ngữ khả năng biểu thị động tác có thể đạt được sự hoàn thiện, làm người khác vừa lòng hay không.

我担心这个节目演不好。

要相信自己学的好。

c/ 动 + 得/不 + 住

Động từ 住 làm bổ ngữ khả năng biểu thị ý động tác có thể làm cố định hoặc giữ một sự vật nào đó ở một vị trí nào đó hay không.

A: 你一天记得住二十个生词吗？- B: 我想记得住。

他的车停不住了。

2. Bổ ngữ khả năng và bổ ngữ trạng thái

a/ Bổ ngữ khả năng biểu thị kết quả có hay không có khả năng thực hiện, còn bổ ngữ trạng thái biểu thị kết quả đã được thực hiện. Trọng âm của loại câu đầu ở động từ, còn trọng âm của loại câu sau ở bổ ngữ trạng thái.

他演得好这个节目。（可能补语，可能但无结果）

这个节目他演得好。（状态补语，评价 ping2 jia4 đánh giá，称赞 cheng1 zan4 tán thưởng已有结果）

b/ Phủ định thức khác nhau.

这个节目她担心演不好。（可能补语）

这个节目她演得不好。（状态补语）

c/ Hình thức câu hỏi chính phản khác nhau.

这个节目她演得好演不好？

这个节目他演得好不好？

d/ Bổ ngữ khả năng có thể mang tân ngữ, bổ ngữ trạng thái không thể mang tân ngữ.

我演不好这个节目。（可能补语）

不能说：* 他演得不好这个节目。（状态补语）

3. 只要。。。就。。。

Cấu trúc 只要。。。就。。。nối một câu phức điều kiện. 只要dẫn ra một điều kiện tất yếu, phía sau 就（都）là kết quả nảy sinh trong điều kiện này.

只要努力，就一定能学好。

只要他知道，就一定会来。
