Feeling Lost

I moved to UK 2019 to start a new job. I’m Filipino, so yesss, I’m a nurse. For someone who thought of having a job abroad, I am living the dream. But then, Covid-19 happened. Just as I was beginning to explore England and planned to travel Europe, suddenly you can’t. 

Being a Pinay, I am proud to stay that I am strong mentally and emotionally.... Restriction, tiers and lockdown caused me to think negatively. Is it just me? I felt that I left home, my comfort zone, just to be trapped here in my small city.

Road to CA-RN

Mahaba to kasi hindi talaga ko makapaniwala paano yon nangyari!!! I WAITED FOR 6 WEEKS JUST TO HAVE THIS KUMIKINANG NA LETTER!!!! Like seryoso. Hindi man siya ang nclexRN. NclexPN lang, oo, pero grabe tinahak ko jan! I applied to other states for RN, sa vegas kaso may English exam. Di ko keri yun. Promise di sya madali. Inabandon ko. Nagplan ako mag Illinois, mga $500 lang naman gagastusin, kering keri ng bulsa pero hindi ko pinili yon. Ramdam ko kasi dito talaga sa california yung future ko. Hindi dahil sa highest paid state ito ng nursing kundi ito talaga yung feel ko.

I really decided to go back to school. Kaya instead na umalis ako dito nagtake ako ng PN para makapag RN kasi ayaw nila tanggapin yung requirements ko. Sobrang nawalan ako ng gana non. Pero calling ko talaga.

Grabe tinahak ko dyan. Nagpasched ako ng September para magexam. Mga April ako nagpasched so malayo pa. Sabi ko hindi pa ko ready kasi wala na akong pera pangbayad ng review! Mga $800 lang naman review tas hindi ako papasok ng work tapos wala ako kikitain pang bayad ng bills. Hindi ako umaasa sa parents ko. Sorry to say and hindi ako nangooffend. Hindi sila kagaya ng parents nyo. Hindi nila ako tutulungan tulad ng parents nyo. But I know my mom would, pero nasa pinas sya. My dad and step mom... Hay. Forget it. Anyway, going back. Due to financial crisis pinalitan ko sched ko ng October 21, saturday. Pumatak yung october first week. Currently Two jobs ako full time! Tulog ko 2-3hours lang everyday! Seryoso yan. At ito pa babaguhin ko sana ng January yung sched ko para makapagenroll sa review center. Nung babaguhin ko na, hala ayaw!!!! Yun pala 6months lang yung binigay sa kin para itake ko yung exam. Sabi ko tangina, pano pa ko magaaral neto eh 21 days nalang. Wala rin available sched sa review center that time. GRABE! Bumili ako ng tatlong libro. Isang book natapos ko tas 200 questions online. Plus 1/4 nung isang book. Yung isa hindi ko na actually nagamit!!!! Took me 2weeks to finish kaplan. Promise. SELF STUDY LANG AKO NAKAKAIYAK!! Hirap ng double job bes na full time. Di ko na kinaya so 1week before exam, nagquit ako dun sa isa. Nagfile ako ng 4days leave sa trabaho ko na isa pa kahit hindi pwede kasi wala na akong paid time off. Nako! Grabe talaga. Tapos hindi ko mapigilan hindi maantok minsan habang nagaaral kasi nga sa everyday na ginawa ni Lord 2-3 hrs lang tinutulog ko. HAY BES!! GRABE!! SA TOTOO LANG. Hindi ako makapaniwala talaga pano ko siya napasa! In just 4 days na review. Ni hindi ko nakabisado yung normal values. Ni wala ako maalala. Napakahirap pa nong exam. PN lang siya pero pota prang RN at andami nagsasabi niyan.

Kaya sobrang thank you sa mama ko at sa bf ko and his parents. Thank you sa mama ko na nagpray for me. Salamat sa bf ko na dinamayan ako sa library at buti nalang may free access sya kasi student sya don. Sa mga aso ng bf ko! Na lagi ako nilalambing pag di pa ko natutulog. Sa mama at papa niya na kinupkop ako ng apat na araw para makapag-aral.

At syempre kay Lord, na walang sawang hinuhugot ako pataas kahit babang baba na ko sa sarili at hindi ko makita ang daan kung san ako patungo. Salamat sa pag gabay sa akin Lord! Sobra akong thankful. At kay jubani! Na huli ko ng sinabi na nagexam ako. Salamat baneeee!!!

I think mas mabuti ng i-post ko to dito. Gusto ko ng peace. 🤭 Ayoko ng congrats nyo. Ayoko maoverwhelm kasi hindi pa ko tapos sa mga pangarap ko. 😇🙏🏼
