A/n: this is so cute. also what do you guys think of the instagram pic thing i did.

Prompt: in which you’re a machine on the field but when you’re off the field you’re the clumsiest person ever

Arsenal had started a new video collection for their youtube channel. Every month, they gave a go pro camera to one player to film little snippets of their life on and off field to then be turned into a youtube video. Fans were obsessed with it. The first month, Beth Mead and Vivianne Miedema had it, the second, Kim Little, and this month, fans were begging for you and Katie to have it. So, you agreed. Jonas gave you the camera on monday after training, and you immediately started filming on your way home.

You and Katie had been together for a year, and despite Katie’s fierce and slightly argumentative personality on the pitch, you had never had a fight. Off the pitch, she was a real sweetheart. For you, however, on the pitch, you were tactical, strong, and you would weave through players as though they were pilons. And off the field, you were so clumsy you could have tripped over an ant.

"Hey guys!" You said, fumbling with the camera and trying your best to place it on the dashboard. "Damn it!" You giggled as the camera fell again. You finally managed to set it up where it stayed still and where you and Katie were both in frame. "You’re hopeless." Katie said, keeping her eyes on the rainy road. "Am not!" You poured, turning your attention back to the camera. "Anyways. Training just ended so that’s why we’re looking sweaty and disgusting. So, we’re going home to shower and change and then we’re going out shopping for the afternoon. I need new-" You started saying. "Want. You want new shoes." Katie cut you off. "Shut up, Katie." You said to her.

You cut the camera, knowing you shouldn’t film too much because the videos were only ten minutes long.

"This vlog is going to be chaotic, babe." Katie said, smiling at you before turning her eyes back to the road. "It will not. I guarantee you I can spend the month without you getting a single clumsy moment from me on camera." You told her. "Oh you are so on. What do we win?" Katie asked. "Hmm, the winner gets to take the looser on a date. The winner plans everything, and the looser pays for everything." You pitched. "Sounds good to me."

You lost the bet three hours later.

You had gone home, showered and changed. The rain had stopped and it was now sunny and warm in London, and you wore a black cropped tank top with black trousers and beige loafers. Accessories were always the way to go with you, so you wore rings and bracelets as well as two necklaces. You loved showing off your tattoos, and Katie loved seeing them.

You got back into your car to go to the shopping outlet, deciding to stop for coffee. You set up the camera when you were parked in front of the coffee shop.

"Okay so we’re getting coffee now, and we’re gonna see who has to go in and get the coffee." You said to the camera before turning to Katie. "Rock, paper, scissors, shoot!" You said at the same time. Katie won and you groaned as she celebrated.

"I dont like you." You told Katie as you opened the car door and walked into the shop. Katie filmed you walking into the shop. "She’s so hot. And she loves me very much don’t be fooled." Katie told the camera, flipping it back to show her face.

You ordered two coffees, a shaken oat milk espresso for you and a matcha for Katie. You started walking towards the door, seeing Katie filming you through the clear doors of the car. You walked towards the door and pushed it with your hip.

It was a pull door.

You spilled your coffee all over yourself, and you look up to see Katie barking with laughter as she films you. You groan loudly and walk out of the shop, your outfit soaked with coffee. Katie sits in the car, laughing her head off at you. You open the door of the car and sit in the seat. "I’m-im suprised you didn’t try to push the car door!" She giggled.

You tried to look at her sternly, but you ended up laughing too. Katie turned off the camera and you handed her her coffee. She leaned in to kiss you, wiping the coffee off your neck. "I love you." She told you as she pulled away.

You groaned as a response.

"What do I do? Im soaked." You said, looking down at your wet shirt and pants. "Well, lucky for you, after having dated you for a year, I know how to prepare for all your little quirks." Katie said, reaching into the backseat. "What does that even mean?" You asked her, watching her suspiciously. "It means…" Katie started, finally grabbing what she was looking for. She pulled out a bag of clothes from the back. "I change it for every season. Right now. We’ve got… a mid length white tee shirt, a brown crewneck and jean shorts. I know this is a boring outfit and not to your standard so I threw in these random sunglasses." Katie said, pulling out your favorite Y2K sunglasses with silver stars on the side. "Katie! I love you and thank you for this but… i’ve been looking for those shades for like three months." You giggled, taking them from her and putting them on you. You fixed your hair and looked at her. "How do I look?" You asked. "Amazing. Let me take a picture." Katie said, pulling out her phone. "Lovely." She said as she took the pic.

"Okay now let’s take the countryside road so we can park on the side and let you change you clumsy girl." Katie said, pulling out of the parking space. "Oh and by the way, when should we do our date? I already have ideas." Katie said.

You just groaned again.

You were now in the backseat of the car, changing quickly when Katie pulled out her phone, taking a picture of you as you buttoned your jean shorts. You flipped her off, and she snapped another picture. Katie filmed you with the go pro as you got out of the backseat and walked back to the front. She had been kind enough to share her matcha with you.

You sat criss cross in the seat as she filmed you. "Time to explain what happened, y/n," the irish woman said in a sing songy voice. "I spilt my coffee and I had to change clothes. Now give me that." You took the camera from your girlfriend and started filming her. "Look how cute she is!" You squeezed her cheeks making her roll her eyes and laugh. You placed the camera on the dashboard. "It’s all a lie! She’s secretly a-" You couldn’t finish your sentence as when you were adjusting your position, you hit your head on the roof of the car. "Fuck!" You groaned, holding your head with one hand and Katie’s matcha with the other. "Okay." Katie said. You looked over at her and gave her a ‘really?' look.

A month later

The video was out, and the amount of clumsiness on your part had the gunners, players and fans alike going crazy.

"It’s okay baby, as long as you don’t fall on your face on the field, you’re okay." Katie said.

Your next game was against Man United, the field was wet and as you ran by yourself, you slipped and fell on your face. You hit the ground in frustration as you heard laughs from the field. Ona Batlle helped you up. "Don’t worry about it. I know a thing or… twenty about falling on my face on the field." Ona said kindly. You smiled at her and kept playing, knowing your team would give you shit for it later, but not wanting it any other way.

I miss my father. He died last year, November 28, 2023. My last holiday with him was Thanksgiving. He was in the hospital, the Miami VA. The family was at my uncle’s house in South Miami. I took a plate for my mom and him. My cousin Y came along for the ride.

We were barely able to get in as visiting hours were almost over. The halls were quiet so our footsteps echoed loudly as we walked. I saw my mom look up from my father’s side. I brought her the food. We greeted my dad as she opened the container to feed him.

He ate slowly, his eyes closed, barely able to chew. He was dying, we all knew it as it was confirmed by the doctor the day before. There was nothing more they could do. He had developed kidney failure a couple of years before. While trying to get him a kidney transplant, he was diagnosed with throat cancer. He had been a lifelong smoker of cigarettes and weed. He managed to stop cigarettes but had just barely stopped smoking weed when was diagnosed.

He was already weak, but we decided to fight the cancer. What killed him was the chemo really. His body couldn’t handle it. It started to break down. He couldn’t breathe without oxygen machines. The dialysis was too much for heart. They could not finish a cycle anymore.

He demanded home hospice. He wanted to die at home. The doctors resisted, we demanded and finally got it approved.

We got the house ready with the hospital bed and oxygen machine. He had to transported by ambulance. They gave him a tranquilizer for the ride. He was delivered November 27, 2024 to his bedroom.

Tuesday morning, November 28, 2024, he woke up, and asked my mom for his cup of coffee, Pilon brand, black no sugar. She went to make it, waiting for it to percolate by the stove, the home health called out to her.

“He doesn’t look good,” he said to her, “you should come here now.”

She went to the bedroom, and tried to wake him up.

“Ricardo, levantate!”

He took his last breathe in her arms.

I had just gotten into the truck he gave me to gov to work when I got her call. The minute I saw her number I knew.

“Mom?” I answered.

In tears she told me, “Mija,he’s gone. “

“ I am on my way, “ I told her, “I will be there soon.”

I miss my dad.

He’s name was Ricardo Millon and he was a bad ass motherfucker.

Coffee grounds in my coffee?

Coffee grounds in my coffee? Hey everyone! So I recently bought the Ninja Hot and Cold Brewed System (CP307) and bought the Donut Shop ground coffee. When we used this coffee ground, we didnt find any of the grounds in our coffee. But now that we've switched to Pilon coffee ground, they're draining into our coffee drinks. I recently learned how to use an expresso maker a friend gave me, and I've been drinking a ton of decaf expresso lattes. Fuck starbucks! Get a brick of expresso, some milk, maybe some whip cream and chocolate syrup, and you never gotta buy Starbucks again.

If you don't wanna shell out for an expresso maker, there's this thing called a Moka Pot you can get p cheap on Amazon or at Walmart! Then just get a cheap hand milk frother and you're good! (BTW, almond milk also froths well ime)

Want flavors? Get some syrups, spices, and/or quite simply some Creamer! Don't underestimate the power of a couple dashes of some, like, peppermint mocha coffee mate, or even some marshmallows! The joy of doing it at home is you get to customize however you like!

If you want your drink hot, warm your milk (partially covered) in the microwave 15 seconds at a time, stirring in between each so the milk doesn't scald. Don't warm for longer than that at a time or it will! Do this before you put it in the drink.

Alternatively, you can slowly warm it on stovetop, stirring frequently as not to scald it.

Get some decent quality beans like Pilon or the fancier stuff like Lavazza, chuck it in your Moka Pot or expresso machine according to instructions, and you're set!

Not to mention there's a bazillion copycat recipes online for your favorite Starbucks drinks! I highly doubt there's one that doesn't have a copycat, and if you don't find a copycat of your drink, literally just ask on reddit or in a copycat Facebook group and I'm absolutely certain someone knows!

Fuck starbucks!

If you don't care for expresso it gets even better because then you can just make your coffees a day or two ahead of time and put them in the fridge, then either drink em cold as you wish or slowly warm em in the microwave like how you did with the milk.

Basically, there's a lot of things you can do without supporting starbucks! Save your money!

If you truly don't have time to make this stuff yourself, check your non-starbucks local coffee places! If you find a copycat recipe for your drink online, you might be able to just ask for them to put together something similar for you if they have the stuff for it! That way you're not only avoiding Starbucks, but you're supporting local businesses!

Random coffee drink I just whipped together

About a tablespoon (maybe 1.5 though) of brown sugar

1 tablespoon of instant espresso powder (I used Pilon)

1 tablespoon of unsweetened cocoa powder

Your choice of milk

I put the dry ingredients in a mug, poured enough boiling water to make a soupy paste and mixed it with a fork. Then I poured almond milk on it. I didn't want it ice cold, so no ice but it was good.

I wanna give a quick shoutout to the nine rookies that have played at least a game for the Caps this season. I can’t remember the last time so many rookies played in a season. Even the year with the Vrana/Djoos/Bowey/Stephenson batch of rookies didn’t have so many. Y’all have been doing amazing filling in for this ridiculous amount of injuries.

However, I would like to shoutout Brett Leason and Aliaksei Protas in particular. Martin Fehervary and Connor McMichael were going to make the team regardless. Beck Malenstyn and Axel Jonsson-Fjallby each contributed 8 games, Hendrix Lapierre had his 6-game tryout, Garrett Pilon had a 2-game cup of coffee, and Zach Fucale had a very memorable one start. But aside from the two that were gonna be lineup regulars anyway, Leason and Protas have stepped up the most. They’ve played 19 and 16 games respectively, which is over half the Caps’ season. Stepping into a full-time NHL role when you didn’t expect it and probably weren’t prepared for it cannot be easy, and these guys haven’t missed a beat. They’ve held their own all this time. I mean, they all have, but for Leason and Protas to have done it for over half the season now when they definitely weren’t supposed to is beyond impressive, and I’m very proud of them.

Sam and Dean have loving and mildly insulting nicknames for their loved ones

Dean calls Cas “mi viejo” (my old man) (it takes Cas a minute to realize it’s a term of affection) and (jokingly, whenever he manages to make Cas dress differently in some way) “Papi chulo”. Dean can never call him that without bursting out laughing because even he finds it stupid. Maybe “Guapo” (handsome) and “Querido” (beloved) when feeling very soft and affectionate. Sam is “Calaca” (skeleton, someone who needs to eat more), “Gordo/Gordito/Gordi” (Fatty/Little Fatty, because even though Sam is very muscular and fit as an adult, he was a chubby child and even when you get skinny later in life your family will always call you that. BTW this is often used as a term of affection not an insult among Hispanic-Latine families), “Pendejo” (dumbass. Every Hispanic-Latine parent has called their child this at least ten times and Dean is essentially Sam’s father and mother) and “malcriado” (spoiled). Sam and Cas, as chaotic besties who always do crazy shit and gossip whenever Dean isn’t around, together are “las chismosas” (gossipers) and “hijos de la gran puta”

Look in my version Dean gets to live to the point where he’s old enough he admits that he needs to start wearing glasses more often

So Sam, with petty sibling energy, calls Dean “Cuatro Ojos” (Four eyes), “Payaso” (clown/buffoon bc Gatekeep!Sam is back at it again but also sometimes Dean just says stupid shit), and in the mornings when Dean is moving extremely slowly bc he hasn’t had his first cup of coffee “Tortuga”. Maybe sometimes “pendejo” but it feels more like something someone older calls someone younger. When judging Dean’s eating habits, maybe “vaca” (cow). I’m not sure Sam would have a nickname for Cas. I don’t know why. I feel like nicknames for Cas are something specific to him and Dean because nicknames are part of how Dean shows affection and care, which isn’t how Sam does. I do think Sam probably refers to Cas as “Angelito” (little angel) around Dean in this affectionate teasing manner you do when you know your sibling or best friend is in love. I think Sam has nicknames for others though. In my head, he calls Eileen “mi leon” (my lion) bc she’s strong and confidant and amazing and and they trust each other and he feels safe with her in a way he hasn’t felt in some time

Look I’m Puerto Rican and Dominican so Jack is gonna get all the non-feminine nicknames I got basically. To Sam and Dean he is “el niño” (the boy), “nene” (specific term for “boy” Puerto Ricans use), “jefe” (Boss, specifically when its Jack’s turn to decide on things like movie night or dinner or something), “flaco”, “Chiquito” (small boy). I hate that basically any time a tv show wants to establish how Hispanic and Latine a family is they always have the parents call their kids “mijo/mija” but yes Jack is also “mijo” but not often

Dean’s favorite coffee brand is Cafe Bustelo because it was almost always around so it was practical and it tasted good. Sam likes it well enough. He prefers Pilon and Pico Rico but they’re much less popular and harder to find.

Dean is the only one who cooks bc Sam is horrible at it, Cas can’t taste test anything to know if it’s fine, and he doesn’t trust Jack in the kitchen yet to do more than make himself cereal. Dean buys a cookbook of Hispanic dishes bc he can barely recall anything his mom made from his childhood, especially dishes from her culture so he tries to learn. He makes a flan and the caramel is a little bitter but everyone enjoys it. He experiments and makes his own family recipe.

Dean knows Spanish decently enough bc it was what Mary (in my version Maria) would speak to him in while John spoke English because despite the glares she got when she spoke it she wants to make sure her children know. He mostly keeps up with it and improves through listening to music (Selena definitely, and probably also Mana, Menudo, and Aventuras). Sam pre-Stanford doesn’t know a lot of Spanish because Dean didn’t have a lot of time to teach him and by the time Dean realizes he probably should Sam is at the age where it’s harder to absorb and learn a new language and Dean doesn’t quite know how to teach him i that way that if you go to a native speaker of a language and ask them specific questions about the why’s of their languages grammar rules they probably won’t know how to explain. But Sam connects hearing it with feeling peaceful and closer to Dean and Mary and a culture he never really got to learn. He learns a lot through reading Spanish poetry like Pablo Neruda and probably reading the Bible in Spanish and English. He prefers Spanish version of church songs because even though he gets clammy and feels sick and gets a headache anytime he’s in a church, he remembers Dean and stories about their mom.

Sam likes praying with Virgin Mary candles because they make him think of his mom and the peaceful life they could’ve had if she lived but also how he thinks she would’ve wanted him and Dean to find peace even as he gets another headache and his nose bleeds the longer he prays. Dean has no faith in God or angels (at least until Cas), but he sees the image of the Virgin and feels love and pain and safety because who he actually sees is the fictional version of his mom he’s built in his head.

Mary taught Dean the “Angelito de mi guardia”/“my guardian angel” prayer and even put a little plaque with a picture of a child praying to an angel with the words (I had one of these ok) on his bedside. After she dies, he keeps saying it, to an angel at first, and then on behalf of Sam, and then for himself as his faith dwindles and he just can’t keep pretending like he has any left anymore.

Sam and Dean both got these little red, thread, bracelets with a cross after their baptisms. Dean used to wear his until he stopped caring about his faith and just keeps it tucked inside his pockets because it’s one of the last things he has left of his mom. Sam stays wearing his even when for some reason his skin itches so badly he has rashes no matter where he moves the bracelet. He keeps it in a small plastic case in his coat so it doesn’t get anymore threadbare, but whenever he would touch it it still gave him rashes.

I feel like Mary would’ve made Dean and, had she lived longer, Sam do bendiciones with her. But I am basing this off of my family and we never say the full thing even when we’re adults so for Mary it’s just “‘cion Mamí” “Dios me la bendiga. Good night Dean. I love you”.

Incredible views by capturing

Tila Pilon Hills, along with other DRT attractions, were opened to the public and became well-known. Because of its proximity to the popular Biak-Na-Bato National Park in San Miguel, Bulacan, tourism in DRT has been steadily increasing in comparison to its neighboring area, with more Metro travelers noticing this easily accessible destination. Back then, I found that Bulacan travelers were the only ones who knew about this then-hidden gem in the province's northern gateway.

On the other side of the highway, the trail continues. Mild ascents follow from here. As a result, some trails became obstructed, prompting residents to create alternate routes. I was truly savoring this almost-forgotten but familiar sensation of walking alongside nature. Naturally, because I moved at a faster pace than the others, I had to wait for them and make short stops.

The summit offers a 360-degree panorama of the surrounding area, with the eastern and western views being the most prominent. Mt. Mabio, to my southwest, loomed large over the entire scene. A prominent two-pointed peak, Mt. Susong Dalaga, can be seen to the right. Mt. Arayat and the Zambales Mountain range, including Mt. Pinatubo, can be seen from afar beyond those mountains.

Talon Pari isn't a big, high waterfall like those found in other mountains. This is a simple waterfall where visitors can sit on the rocky slopes of the falls; the river where the water falls is at least 5 to 6 feet deep. We took advantage of the opportunity to sit on the rocky slopes of the falls and let the heavy flow of water massage our backs.

Tila Pilon was nothing like Digo's Hills. There was no hiking involved since the summit served as the parking area. The location is simply a plateau where the property's caretaker lives and has set up some picnic tables, a sari-sari shop turned cafe, and some makeshift photo spots made of wood. It was a simple landmark, but it provided a fantastic vantage point for viewing the mountains. We spent 250PHP there on talbak coffee grounds. I took advantage of the opportunity to take in the view, with Mt. Mabio almost in front of us, while they were shopping. On the other side of the mountain, Mt. Silad's imposing presence can be seen. Tila Pilon was also spotted from this place! Mt. Arayat can be seen directly across from it, and to its far left, I spotted Mt. Natib and Mt. Mariveles in Bataan.

This is the place that once you visit you can't forget to come back because of the good memories that DRT brings to you, and also this is the place where you can be happy with not only family but also friends and other acquaintances.
