I am the voice of Barry the Skeleton in those hilarious Pillow Cube social media ads and I caught up with him today just chilling at the doc’s office. We signed autographs for each other, traded weight loss and weight gain tips and then argued about which Deadspace is the best. lights off but small lights like nightlights or glowy things dont bother me. air purifier and fan running. cold so i can be under many many blankets. my clothing alternates between nightgowns, giant t shirts, or fully clothed in sweatshirts and sweatpants i dont know why it is this way but it is, it is totally dependent on mood. if it's winter or im upset i wear more clothes. i sleep on my side on a pillowcube to support my neck and head because with my birth defect i overcompensate and rotate my head weirdly to look at things, tilted like an owl so that i see things right side up (fun optic nerve hypoplasia trick!) and it has damaged my neck. if it gets irritated i get severe migraines and vomit a lot. the only way i can maintain it is with the pillow. i also wear a biteguard because im a freak and grind my teeth so hard that i wake up with bloody gums and also choke on it in my sleep. i also have to bend my arms and pin them to my chest like a praying mantis or hug a pillow as well as twist my legs into like. a helix. or at least cross my ankles. i used to get really bad sleep paralysis but i dont anymore but i still dream extremely vividly and lucidly and have nightmares regularly. sleep is weird
