I've been brainrotting a rarepair/crackship the past couple of days. I fear it's terminal.. I can not get Scott Smajor/Technoblade out of my HEAD!! Despite this, I still can not think of a ship name for them. The funniest one I can think of is Majorblade. Thus, that's the one I'm going with.
Some highlights of what I've been thinking under the cut o7
Please ignore spelling errors. My phone is mean, and my eyesight is bad. 3:
First and foremost, thank u for looking at my autism fueled insanity! This is yours now.
Tumblr media
Scott and Techno have a pretty strong dymanic going for them. When you first see them together, you'd, probably, think the far larger piglin brute would be the most bloodthirsty of the two. While correct (blood for the blood god and all that), it's Scott, who's the most vicious during battle. It does not matter if the battle in question is one fought by words or swords - Scott will try to come out on top. Unless, of course, it's one of his friends, then Techno would likely have to step in so Scott doesn't do his classic move of suicide.
When the two of them train together, it is insanely gay. Sure, it's artful, and it's like a classical oil painting from one of the great masters unfolding in real time. But I can not stress enough how homoerotic it is. There is strong queer tension between the two of them. This is an undeniable fact, and i refuse to accept criticism otherwise.
I think a pretty well accepted headcanon is that Scott Is Magical. In my daydreams of gay block men, I expand upon this. To me, It is a love language of Scott to use his abilities on you / for you. Magic takes a lot! It takes a lot of time, will, commitment, energy, and all that good shit. Most importantly, it takes a lot out of the caster - large bouts of magic inturn makes the user temporarily weaker. To willingly put yourself at a disadvantage in a universe where Things Try To Kill You, Often is a level of trust and love that is hard to properly put into words.
Despite this, Scott takes the time to painstakingly add enchantments to Technos items. There is, of course, enchanting tables and books, and then there is a master of their craft. It is like comparing a microwave meal of Mac and Cheese to a homemade five cheese Mac and cheese that's baked in the oven with bread crumbs on top. They're both Mac and cheese but ones definitely fuckin better.
I feel like Scott would intentionally add extra protection to Techno's fighting gear - add enchantments that enhance Techno's strengths while also trying to cover his weaknesses. For example, if Techno often leaves his sides unprotected during a rampage, Scott adds extra protection in those spots, so Techno is overall better protected.
For context, I'm a Bedrock Minecraft player. My piglin knowledge comes from primarily Bedrock. Okay? Okay.
Everyone knows that Piglins adore gold. They snort, chuff, wag their ears, and rush after gold once it's dropped. I like to imagine that it's very much a love language for piglins and piglin hybrids to exchange or generally gift gold to those they love and care for. Basically - Scott has an overwhelming amount of gold jewelry and items from Techno. He cherishes them all, recognizing it for what it is.
I have a personal headcanon that giving a piglin or a piglin hybrid a block of pure, overworld, gold is the same as a marriage proposal. I think it's really funny to imagine Techno giving Scott one of these blocks and Scott to be like. "Ah yes, this is a big gold thing. Thank you!" And Techno being like "??? :( babe...." The same could apply to Scott's habit of giving lovers Poppies. Scott giving Techno, not just one, but an entire stack of poppies only for Techno to say thanks. It leads to another moment of "??? :( babe...."

Piglin
Hog-folk of the infernal nether. They’re in a post-apocalyptic state now, but they were once the most advanced civilization in Minecraft, even trumping the Ancient Builders. They use machines instead of magic.
Sows are slightly larger and fatter than males, with smaller tusks. Boars are more muscular, with bony faces and coarse black manes. Boars often adorn themselves with jewelry, body paint, and the like, to woo sows, and bachelors marry into groups run by old matriarchs. Sows of high rank in bastions usually have a harem of males serving both as concubines and bodyguards. Piglin are for the most part polyamorous.
They communicate in Piglish, a mixture of signing and vocalisations. Complex sentences are signed, and sounds are used as emotive context clues, like auditory tone tags.

Piglin stuff bc im. bored and kinda sad.
-Piglins are a Netherian race of anthropomorphic boars. The term “piglin” is an Overworld name for the race, literally meaning “pig-like” or “derived from pigs”. the term was adopted by the piglins, who’s word for themselves could be translated to a similar phrase.
-Piglins are matriarchal and live in clans but the eldest son of the clan is trained as a brute, or soldier in the multi-clan bastions as a representative. “brute” is, again, an Overworld name based on the Piglim word for soldier, which is a grunt that sounds a bit like the English word “brute”. the Piglin word is actually more like “brrutk.”
-Piglin language (Grüntish) is made up of a series of grunts, oinks, and squeals. one grunt can mean many different things based on culture, context, and tone. for example, take “brrutk”. that grunt or word can translate to soldier, eldest son, diplomat, or even villain depending on how the grunt is enunciated.
-Because Piglins naturally have a warmer body temperature, about 115° F or 46° C, cold temperatures are a better indicator of illness than warmer temperatures. the zombie virus, also known as the rotting disease, is a disease that happens when Netherians are exposed to colder temperatures or are ill enough that they become cold.
-The rotting disease pandemic hit the Nether severely, wiping out fauna and flora for a long time before it was managed. Piglins, their forests, and their main sources of food (hoglins and striders) were especially affected.
-Piglins make their clothes from hoglin and strider leather. Their main source of meat is hoglins, and they usually tame striders as transportation. Hoglins are sometimes captured and placed inside of bastions to protect the area or be released in battle against enemies, but this is extremely dangerous and therefore quite rare.
-Professions within Piglin clans are loose and unspecialized, since every clan member needs to learn and act as farmers, doctors, and hunters simultaneously. Matriarchs (Kruuk), heirs, and high-ranking men in clans do the same work as the rest of the clan
-Clans are family based, but sometimes can contain as many as four or five family units. These are organized and ruled by the oldest women from each family, all working together as one democratic “council”
-LGBT identities are honored in Piglin communities. transwomen who used to be brrutks are particularly respected for their ability to become kruuks and their experience in a bastion.
-Bastions (military bases that are organized and run by multi-clan alliances) are manned by the brrutks, prisoners, and volunteers. Serving in a bastion is both an honorable thing and a punishment depending on why you are there.
-Killing a hoglin is the most honorable thing a piglin can do, and an apprentice piglin (a younger member if a clan who is training) killing their first hoglin is a cause for celebration as it marks the end of their training. Hoglets (baby hoglins) are never hunted, but they can be captured to be brought into bastions.

Piglin headcannon stuff
This is a special interest not an English essay, if you comment on my spelling or sentence formulation I will blow you up with my mind.
Netherrack has different 'variants' depending on other substances its exposed to and mixes with. Netherrack near the lava oceans melt very slowly, (like, over thousands of years years slowly) which has caused them to condense into a sandstone like mineral that is much more fire resistant. It's darker in coloration (similar to that of nether brick) And a little more malleable than regular netherrack, its used a lot in heavy armor and shields as a result. The presence of different minerals also affect the features of netherrack. when near a lot of soul sand, netherrack will take on a noticeably paler shade of red, while being cold to the touch. it melts much easier and quicker than regular netherrack and is generally weaker than it too. however it makes good armour for piglins that are living in higher altitudes or near the lava oceans. Netherrack exposed to gravel will be deeper in hue. It will crumble like sand in one's hand. When mixed with magma cream it becomes a gooey almost wet clay like substance. hardening like clay when heated. It acts as an amazing insulator and thus is used a lot in making houses and layers within the bastions.
There is weather, kinda. Since the nether is another dimension entirely the laws of physics and gravity don't work quite the same. all this to say that, the lava oceans have 'tides' even without a celestial body to affect them. these lava tides affect the heat of nether. particularly, it affects the higher altitudes and the areas at sea (lava?) level. because heat rises, the more the lava pools raise the hotter those areas get, meanwhile valleys or depressions in the terrain retain relatively cooler and more stable temperatures throughout tide changes. There's a pattern to these tidal changes, most easily comparable to seasonal changes in the overworld over a longer period. high tide can last ~5 human months, low tide lasting ~6 and between the two is an 'unstable season' where it can change dramatically from high to low quickly. this lasts ~3 months
like other aquatic(?) animals, striders have a mating cycle. bi-yearly (once every time the tide cycles finish twice) a massive congregation of wild striders make their way to the highest elevation near a warped forest. they then spend the time grazing and mating for ~2 human weeks.
they have their own version of the aurora borealis during low tide. when the tide goes out, lots of ash, netherrack, blackstone, basalt etc. particles go into the air, raising with the temperatures until they reach the highest point they can. Its here in which the particles can interact more freely between each other. If they reach perfect temperature and conditions, a reaction will happen that will ignite some of the particles, causing fire to 'dance' around the sky. this fire will be a wide variety of colors depending on the contents of the mineral particles in the area. a lot of tribes call it something like 'dance of gods' with a lot of religious beliefs and rituals being connected to it. It can go by a wide verity of names depending on which group of pigfolk you ask
There are variations within the species depending on the climate or biome they live in. for piglins that are in valleys or farther from the lava lakes their fur will be shorter but thicker. the hair naturally keeps them cool and resistant to lava/fire with an oil it produces, kinda like ducks, without the need to be fire resistant, a lot of valley residing tribes have shorter hair since it just weights them down. It thickens to keep them warmer since they're not so close to the heat of lava lakes. they also tend to have darker, more spottier coloration to keep them blended in with the netherrack. Species near lava lakes have longer fur, particularly on the top of their heads, on their chins, and occasionally, top to middle of their backs. They're a lot more resistant to lava and bathe in it using magma cream to keep them xtra safe from burning alive. (like sunscreen but for showering) A lot of these tribes tie their longer fur into braids and fit gold rings on it. the style depends on the tribe that they belong from. Their colors are typically brighter and more smooth between the changes of fur color. this helps them blend in with the lava and bright surroundings. Their eyes are noticeably darker, ranging from brown, purple, to full black. The reason is to protect their vision from the harsh light from the lava. a lot of these piglins are larger and bulkier than the rest. the rare few tribes that make their homes within soul sand valleys or wastelands are a little shorter and thinner than the rest. With speed unaffected by the soul sand and eyes a soul-like blue. These piglins are typically not seen out of their enviornment and often used as the boogymen in stories of piglits so they don't wander off. These piglins can go pretty long without food or sleep within their own biome. outside of it though they get more sluggish and tired. Those who venture off outside of their biome take small jars of soul sand with them in necklaces as a sort of charm to keep them from getting these tiredness spells. Okay its 1:30 and I got class in six hours so this is all yall get for now Feel free to use and modify these for your fics if you ever wanna :D

Haven't posted anything in a long time, so. New oc! :)
This is Crimsonwire, 'Crim' for short. They're the resident mechanic of my bastion, and help with building and janitorial stuff at times where it's needed. She's a bit of a busybody and loves to tinker with stuff, so 90% of the time her arm isn't working because she's trying out a new prototype. We love her though.

Based on the perception that Minecraft is a world recovering from the apocalypse with each update:
During the War with the Ancient Builders, Piglins were almost entirely wiped out, with many becoming Zombie Piglins. The small groups that remained hid away for a long time, actively avoiding any Player which would wander into the Nether.
Over time, as a lot of the Nether environments that were destroyed regrew, so did the Piglin population, and with regained access to wood to create weapons as the forests returned, they regained the confidence to face off against players. Piglins have now fully reclaimed the home that was stolen away from them, and have begun to make effort to learn agriculture when they previously did not (due to a carnivorous diet) so as to be able to rebuild faster in a future worst-case scenario.

Piglin Brute
Tumblr media
The following is an excerpt on Piglins from an unknown researcher
Piglin Brutes or in their native language Drukktl Snuuzhe are Militant guardians of the bastions crumbling into ruin. Once a grand nation, the Drukktl clans of the Drukclant (Nether, lit. "pig-place") were first ravaged by internal warring over dwindling supplies of netherite and then fractured by the Sarkartg (zombification virus lit. "wander curse") introduced by the ancient builders of the overworld.
The Snuuzhe are egalitarian, every Drukktl must serve their time, a period of months to years depending on the individual. Often Snuuzhe will retire as hunters, their training in axe, sword and crossbow serving them well in that role.
Very rarely will an active Snuuz become an active clan leader, although it is known to happen. The Drukktlhe frown upon this clear grab for power and will often only allow it when desperation calls.
Drukktlhe have a great rivalry with the corrupted Zinktrishe (wither skeletons, lit. "black bone plural") who only remain in the ancient builder's fortresses. Once upon a time they rode an early variant of the modern Drinkktl (Strider lit. "striding one") into battle against these foes but now they subsist on the meat of the less intelligent Drukkskahe (hoglins lit. "pig large plural") which are dangerous on their own but even more so under the influence of the Sarkartg.
In addition to their work protecting the bastion, the Snuuzhe must work diligently to spot signs of the Sarkartg among the clan members but especially among the Drukkskahe.
The Drukktlhe value gold as the secret to netherite, long forgotten, and giving them an ingot will often cause them to barter useful items. What the Drukktlhe find useful varies, but communication has been difficult as a player is often unable to pronounce the subtle sounds necessary to speak Drukktl.

I saw a hc that since piglins probably don’t have much body heat due to residing in the nether and therefore needing to stay cool, Techno’s cloak is dusted inside with either magma cream or blaze power to keep warm, would make for a sick excuse to draw sparkly gold specks inside his cape
OOO THATS SICK
sparkly
i always imagine that techno runs warm because it gives me the opportunity to make Wholesome Hug Moments but your idea makes much more sense lmao
dude’s gotta stay warm

Just me rambling. Might have a few writing mistakes.
Me imagining if Piglin! Character! Technoblade along with others met with some other characters I liked and how would he or someone else explain his name. I used the headcanon that piglins' are given names that are basically their job tittle or something that they are really good at or something that I read somewhere. Plus I like names meanings no matter if that person is given that name base on the meaning or not. I ended up looking up the origin of the word techno and googles says it comes from the greek word tekhne meaning art or craft. Though I don't now how correct it is since I am not going to deep dive on a simple thought/daydream. I like the thought of his name basically meaning 'Art/Craft Of The Blade'.
