Love Language (W.M)
Wanda Maximoff x Fem!CivilianReader (Avengers AU)
Summary: After Thanos, Wanda retires, along with a long term effect from all the missions she had and then she met you.
Warning: None, just some fluff. Mentions of hearing loss and sign languages.
A/n: Hello! It's me! I have a fluff now after the angsts I have posted. Thanks to my Curious George anon for the inspiring talk and ideas. Y'all can thank her too for motivating me to write and post a fic here today. lol. Welp, happy reading peeps!
Main Masterlist
Years of being Avengers was quite a lot for Wanda, not to mention losing Vision after Pietro. Mission after mission, countless fighting off the enemies felt like she was in an endless war without any possibility to end.
Fortunately, Wanda was wrong. After defeating Thanos, The Avengers are finally able to retire. Wanda is grateful that everybody including her are still alive, though it was hard for her in the beginning to get out the grief from Vision’s death. During all of the fighting she has been through as an Avengers, Wanda can’t escape the explosions or other loud sounds that happened.
It cost her an invisible permanent damage. Wanda has a progressive hearing loss. Her hearing is slowly deteriorating by time causing her to have to learn to read people’s lips in the beginning. With Natasha’s support, Wanda finally accepts her condition and learns sign language to be prepared for the day when she totally loses her hearing.
Then you come into her life.
To Wanda, meeting you at the grocery store near her house was the best thing ever to happen to her life. You brought back the colors in her life that she thought she had lost. You and Wanda have been together for almost a year. She loves you with all her heart. You are the life that she never thought that she would have ever again. Losing people that she loves has made her very skeptical in finding her happiness again but you have saved her.
You, you fell in love with her very hard. Heads over heels. To you, Wanda is perfect. No matter how much she tells you that she is not. You can’t blame her. You understand why she always tells you that she is not perfect because of her condition. Although right now she can still hear certain sounds but most of the time, Wanda can’t hear very well.
Wanda tries to stall as long as she can to not wear hearing aids. She doesn’t feel confident
about how it looks when she puts them on even though some of them don’t look that obvious and are pretty discreet. At this point, Tony has given up in trying to convince her to wear the one that he created special for her. She prefers to read people's lips than wear hearing aids.
Since the first time you both met and then officially dating, the communications have been easy. You always try to talk clearly and slowly and she focuses on reading your lips. Wanda sees how patient you are no matter how many times she asks you to repeat your words or when she doesn’t hear your soft spoken voice.
Wanda knows how hard it is to learn sign language so she always tells you that you don’t have to learn about it. She loves you so much that she told you she would wear hearing aids once she loses all her hearing to save you and your time from learning sign language.
With mutual understanding and how much both of you love each other, life has been very beautiful and happy. Both of you do a lot of things together. Her favorite is movie night together with a lot of snacks and drinks. Either watching new movies at the theater and sometimes at home or watching another rerun of her or your favorite sitcoms.
Wanda always tries to hold herself back not to ask you whenever she probably can’t hear or miss some words because she doesn’t want to bother you. Being the sweetest girlfriend you are, you always quickly pause the movie whenever you see her face looking confused because you know what is actually happening and then help her explain or ask her which part she misses.
Tonight, you just bought an older movie that Wanda has been wanting to watch with you. All snacks are ready on the table and you are waiting for Wanda to bring the drinks.
You have been munching your favorite chips while waiting for her.
“Okay, here’s your drink, my sweet.” Wanda hands you the drink. You take the drink and try to finish the chips in your mouth before you answer. “Yay! Thank you, princess.” You take a sip then put the drink down.
You have some more chips and try to finish the chips. Wanda notices that you chew in a rush.
"Baby?" She calls.
"Hm?" You tap her hands as a sign of your hum while busy chewing and turning your head to her.
"You know if you keep chewing like that you'll finish the chip before the movie even starts, right?" Wanda teases you with a question followed by a giggle.
"Well yeah, that was the point, love." You smile. Wanda squints her eyebrows a little as she tries harder to read your lips while you are chewing and talk at the same time.
"What? Why?" Wanda looks perplexed from your answer.
"Oh, I'm trying to finish them all before the movie starts because I don't want to be noisy with all the crunchy noise during the movie, so you can hear the movie better." You explained as you take more chips.
Wanda feels her heart melt instantly after hearing your reason, bubbles of joy fill her heart. Her smile shows up right away on her face.
Her hand grabs yours to stop you grabbing the chips. "Detka, that's very sweet of you. You don't have to do that, I still can hear it. Thank you very much for thinking that way."
"Are you sure? I thought you don't like crunchy food when you are watching a movie?" Now it's your turn being confused as you look at her.
Wanda laughs a little. "Well it's okay. I can still hear it. It's harder for me to hear it if I was the one that chew the crunchy snacks but thank you, y/n." She smiles once more and leans to you to give you a quick kiss on your cheek.
She snuggles up closer to you, wrapping her arms around you and looks at you with her sparkling green eyes, full of joy and thinking how lucky she is to have the thoughtful you in her life.
“What did I do to deserve you? Gosh, you are so adorable.” she says in a very loving, grateful tone.
You look at her with your blushing cheeks as usual, you don’t know how to react to her compliment for you because all you can do is smile and ask her back “What? What did I do?”
“Just being you, sweet and thoughtful to me.” she replies, followed by her giggle that always makes you want to laugh with her.
“Of course. You deserve everything.” You kiss her forehead and you hear her giggle more.
“Oh, the movie starts. Shall we watch it now?” you ask as soon as you notice the TV screen.
She nods with a smile.
_____
The first thirty minutes of the movie, both of you enjoy it together. The longer the movie passes, the more often you shift your position and it becomes too obvious for Wanda to notice.
“Y/n, are you okay?”
You look at her with a nervous smile. “Yes, I am okay, love. Why?”
“Oh nothing. Your thoughts are pretty loud. I meant I don’t really know what you are thinking but I know for sure your mind is spinning right now. Like, you are nervous or worried about something.” Your Sokovian girlfriend explains her own conclusion from what she figures from your thoughts. Despite her power that can hear your thoughts, Wanda promises you that she will never invade the privacy of your mind. Being the overthinker you are, sometimes everything in your head can be pretty loud for her to at least feel them.
You are trying your best to not think too much so it won’t give Wanda a complete gift away on what you really have on plan.
You laugh, hoping that it will cover the truth. “Nervous? Why would I be nervous?” you asked apprehensively while you clear your throat. Bunch of thoughts bounce around in your head, memorizing things while preparing the right answer for any possible questions that Wanda might ask.
Seeing more obvious and a little unusual behaviors of yours, Wanda pauses the movie. Silence is all she wants right now so she can hear you just in case you are going to say something, but you don’t.
A concerned sigh went out of her lips. “Y/n, sweetheart. Look at me, please. Is everything okay? What’s wrong?”
You turn your body facing her now with your face looking down a little. You mumble a little and your hand slightly moves in a certain way as if you are rehearsing something.
“Babe, I can’t hear you and I can’t read your lips either. What did you say?” A line of confusion appears between her eyebrows. Her eyes try to look at your lips to read them.
You take a deep breath and exhale it slowly. “Okay..” you mumble once more under your breath then get on one knee.
You hold her hands and look into her eyes. Comfortable silence fills the room. “Wanda, my love.” The beautiful brunette in front of you looks so surprised with what she sees, not from what she reads on your lips because you didn’t say anything but your hands movements say it all.
You continue doing sign language for everything that you are about to say to her.
“I’m so glad that a year ago you came for my help at work and asked me where the beddings aisle was, because you were the sweetest and cutest woman I’ve ever met. My heart skipped a bit and knew that you were the one for me right then right away. Having a life with you in this past year has been the best privilege I ever have. Loving you is so easy because you are perfect and flawless. I want to keep going, having life and loving you for the rest of my life. So, Wanda, will you marry me?” you slow down your hand movement when you reach the last sentence to show more emotions in it and right after that, you grab the opened little box with a ring in it.
Wanda looks at you in awe and can’t hold back her happy tears. Joy warms her heart. She is touched by your effort and surprise at learning sign language, let alone proposing to her with it.
“Of course! Yes! A thousand times yes!” Due to how speechless she is from the enormous amount of happiness, Wanda’s hand did the sign language for her answer. She then pulls you to hug you and kiss you.
Several quick gentle kisses land on your lips and cheeks. You pull yourself back a little to see her joyful beautiful face. Wanda’s hand gently rubs your cheek and goes to the top of your head, caressing your hair as soon as you two end up snuggling on the couch.. Both of you looked at each other with the look of so much love.
“When did you learn sign language?” She questioned you in a curious tone. “Uh, Tony and Natasha have been helping me with it at the compound, plus he created this app that can help me learn more by myself whenever I can.”
“Wait, so all these overtime at work the last few months? You actually went to the compound to learn your proposal lines?” Wanda giggles and her cheeks blush at the same time.
“Yes, I have been going to the compound and no, I didn’t learn only the proposal lines. I learned everything. I know sign language now, only for you but I’m not a pro yet, so please bear with me.” you answer after you give a few more soft kisses all over her that draws more giggles from her.
“Aww, that’s really sweet. Thank you, y/n. I’m so lucky to have you.” Wanda expresses her genuine feelings.
“I love you, Wanda.”
Those words are the most beautiful words she ever reads on your lips that will always swoon her off her feet, fall for you over and over again.
“I love you too, my sweet.
A/n: Welp, that's all for today from me. I hope you enjoyed this short fluff. Let me know what you think. Reblogs and comments are highly appreciated. Follow me for more and see you in next!

Chapter 38. My beloved ghost and me
Previous chapter
Masterlist
This chapter is shorter than others and a bit of a change of pace! Chapter 39 will be coming soon <3
pairing: Pietro Maximoff x OFC
warnings: a whole lotta angst, hurt no comfort, Sad Piet
9 days earlier.
Pietro
I pressed a hand to my ribs to soothe the ache there. Ross sat a few rows back on the plane, frustration practically emanating from him. He’d all but thrown things around back at the headquarters, furious as the shit show that had unfolded at the airport. Rhoades had been airlifted to the hospital; he’d lost motor control below his hips, but he would be okay, Tony had mentioned something about him meeting us back at the compound. I’d barely uttered a word since we left the airport.
The compound. Nadia’s phone had pinged halfway between here and the city an hour ago, Ross assumed she was headed here. He’d begrudgingly allowed me 10 minutes to talk to her before the others, Ross wanted this contained, he thought I might be able to talk her down. Convince her to back down, I couldn’t imagine it was likely. Even if Nadia seemed prepared to change her mind, I’m pretty sure that I’m the last person she’d want to speak to right now.
I’d never heard the compound so quiet before. There was not a sound to be heard, no television playing, no hum of conversation, no sizzling oil as someone cooked; nothing. I wandered down the entryway cautiously, glancing around for any sign of life, avoiding the cavernous hole in the floor from where Wanda had buried Vision when she ran to join the fight. I swallowed heavily as I stepped into the hallway, staring down toward the familiar door. When I took a step closer, I noticed a slither of light trickling out between the door and frame. It was open, I realized. I took another step forward but, as if my body was working independently of my intentions, I found myself speeding forward and through the doorway. My heart was in my throat as I shoved the door open, letting the natural light pour over me and into the hallway.
The room was slightly disheveled, bed sheets messed up, hangers on the floor, closet doors left open. I wandered forward picking up the hangers and returning them to the closet. I closed the doors and then I sat down on the bed, letting my eyes fall closed for a while.
She wasn’t here, of course she wasn’t. Nadia would never be so predictable; she knew Ross would be tracking her phone she’d never be caught so easily. There was every chance she’d never been her at all, maybe this was how she left the room When she and Natasha left for Vienna in the first place. I looked around at the space before me, the armchair by the window, the hardcover book sitting unfinished on the seat.
I let myself fall back onto the plush comforter. The sudden disturbance of her sheets caused her scent to come alive all around me. The faint smell of her perfume and shampoo overwhelmed my senses, that and the smell of her first thing in the morning, before she’d spritzed anything onto her skin, when it was just her. I closed my eyes tightly again, taking a deep breath, it was almost enough to pretend she was really here. When I heard footsteps down the hall, I sat upright. Evidently, my 10 minutes was up. It was then that I saw it, from this angle it was much more obvious, the picture frame that sat on Nadia’s nightstand was now empty glass that once encased a picture of her and Natasha. For a long moment I just stared at it, unable to tear my eyes away, but then I was on my feet. I rushed from room to room throwing doors open and scanning every corner. The thought that she had been here burning into my mind, had we narrowly missed her? How close were we?
Though there was one question I didn’t dare ask, I couldn’t bring myself to voice it. Still, I searched every inch of the compound, almost convincing myself that I could feel her, the phantom of her presence, the sound of her breaths.
Yet even after scouring every single room in the compound there was no sign of her. There was one final thing left, I knew it was futile, yet without a second thought I pulled my phone from my pocket and pressed the familiar contact. One ring… two rings… three rings… I couldn’t hang up, even though this was a pointless endeavor, I needed to hear ever monotonous ring before I could put the phone down. However, the fourth ring never came.
“Hello?” A voice echoed down the line.
My heart felt as though it stopped momentarily, but then I furrowed my eyebrows. “Who is this?”
“My names Marty, I found this phone on my bus, guessing someone forgot it?”
I hung up, not even bothering to offer a response. Ross stepped into the hallway then, glancing at me expectantly.
“She isn’t here.” I muttered, still staring down the empty corridor, as if I could actualize her into being there.
He sighed heavily. “No of course she’s not, she knows better.” I looked over to see him shake his head before pulling his phone from his jacket pocket. “And I’d hope you know better than to help her going forward, she’s only made this worse for herself. No need to let her drag you down too.”
I looked at the ground, swallowing hard and choosing not to respond. When Ross walked away with his phone to his ear, I took it as a sign that I was dismissed. I turned to my bedroom door, closing it behind me and leaning back against the wood. My head hit the door with a quiet thud as I squeezed my eyes shut tightly, as though I could wipe away the memories of the past couple of days. Like I could forget how it felt to watch my own sister get arrested. My head was pounding, the pain had persisted for days, never giving me a minute of peace. Maybe getting some sleep might help. I couldn’t remember the last time I’d slept through the night. I’d been restless since Ross first presented the accords to us, but even before that I’d struggled to soothe my mind. Even when I managed to settle, I’d want to stay alert to wake Nadia from her nightmares. I forced the thought from my mind, kicking my shoes off and meandering toward my bed. When the covers were pulled back, I dropped down onto the mattress.
I laid there for maybe five minutes before my eyes opened again. My body moved upward slowly, rolling onto my back first before I sat up, eyebrows furrowed as I stared across the room. The doors to my closet were both left wide open. I wasn’t sure what it was about it that bothered me, but something pushed me out of bed and toward it. When I stood in front of the cupboard, I finally noticed the mess within, some of my clothes had fallen from hangers but it was the boxes at the bottom that held my attention, they’d all been shifted around. I pulled them out quickly, reaching back to feel around for the files that I’d stowed there. Panic began to set in when I realized that they weren’t there.
My spine straightened and I began to pace the floor.
I catalogued the information within them, trying desperately to remember if there was anything that could be used against her in those notes; anything of importance or that could get her in trouble. I didn’t remember anything specific. Then I thought about what might happen to me if Ross had been the one to find them. That was a whole lot of incriminating evidence that I’d worked with Hydra. My heart was racing, why didn’t I just destroy those fucking files?
Nadia was already in trouble, what if there was something in there that Ross could use to bury her. I sped through the compound to Tony’s office. He sat, facing toward the window, completely silent.
“They’re gone.” I spoke, causing his head to lean to the side, an acknowledgment that he’d heard me. “The files I’d had on Nadia, they’re gone.”
Finally, he swiveled his chair to face me, expression completely blank. He blinked at me a few times; I couldn’t tell whether he was considering what I’d said or if he was just utterly unconcerned. A few minutes passed until he offered any kind of response. He didn’t speak right away, instead, his eyes drifted down to the floor beside his desk. I followed his eyeline to see a full paper shredder. Tony rested his jaw on top of his fist, glancing back up at me, face still devoid of any readable emotion. “It was switched on when I came in here.”
It was like a punch to the gut. I shook my head, not understanding the implications. My head felt like it was spinning, migraine increasing tenfold. I shook my head again before dropping it into my hands. “No.” I muttered, almost inaudible. Tony said nothing as I repeated the word again. “That doesn’t make any sense. Why… Would she... no.” I couldn’t accept it; wouldn’t. I turned toward the door, but dizziness quickly took over my body. “Why would she do that?” I barely got it out, my throat drying up at the end, words rasping out.
She had been here, she must have needed to come back for something, but it was enough of a risk just to be here. Why would she do this? Why would she take the time to find the files and shred them. She could have gotten herself caught, she didn’t know how close behind her Ross was, she had no way of knowing that the extra time spent here destroying the files wouldn’t foil her escape and yet… she took the time to protect me, even after everything that happened at the airport, after what I had said to her.
I told her I was glad she hadn’t told me she loved me back. Like it had all been a mistake. As though I regretted saying it in the first place.
She hadn’t said it back. I told her that I loved her, and she didn’t say it back, but she saved my life in Sokovia, and in Amsterdam too. She could’ve died in that car, yet she refused to leave me. She woke me from my nightmares in Moscow and then she laid with me all night, despite her dislike of being touched. She never left my side, even when she didn’t trust me. She never let me believe I was a bad person even in the beginning when she was trying so desperately to push me away, she still reassured me of my good heart. She took me to the city that means so much to her and showed me all of her safe places just so that I might find somewhere to call my own. I betrayed her before we’d even met and then I lied to her about it for the entirety of our relationship and she didn’t even hate me for it. I told her that I loved her, and Nadia didn’t say it back in those same words, but she hadn’t said nothing.
Everything that she had done for me since we met didn’t count for nothing.
It spoke volumes.
“I see now, what you really think.”
No matter how hard I tried to push the thoughts away, all I could hear was her voice.
“you didn’t send them… but you kept them. They were a reminder, weren’t they? Of the person I really am.”
I regretted allowing myself the luxury of hope when I’d stepped back into the compound, because that is what I’d done, hoped; hoped that I would push her bedroom door open to see her standing before the window, sunlight warming her skin, making her hair appear even lighter. It was easy to imagine her smile, even when it had been quite a while since I’d seen the full breadth of it.
I didn’t know what I’d say to her if she had been there. What could I say? Nothing seemed right after what I’d already said. The look on her face haunted me.
I couldn’t wipe that from my memory, no matter how desperately I tried.
And now she was gone, like she’d never even been here to begin with.
I dropped down into the chair across from Tony’s desk. He filled two glasses with amber colored liquor, pushing one toward me before taking the other for himself as he leaned back into his chair.
“What a shit show this all turned into, huh?” I nodded, not trusting my voice enough to verbalize a response. Tony’s phone was buzzing on the table, but he declined the call after checking the name. “Ross have any idea where she is?” His expression was still mostly unreadable, but I was sure I saw a hint of something flash across his eyes.
“No.” I took a large sip of my drink before continuing. “She left her phone on some random bus, the ping was obviously meant to be a distraction.”
“Yeah, I’d say she would’ve ditched that pretty quickly.”
I nodded again, finishing the drink and pouring a little more into the glass. Tony didn’t mention it, his phone had not stopped buzzing. He was right. Nadia knew Ross would be after her, she ditched her phone because she was going to disappear. Gone, without a trace, no remnants, just gone. I finished the second drink in one gulp. Tony’s phone began buzzing yet again.
“Goddamn Fury.” He muttered, finally answering it and putting an end to the maddening vibrations. “What do you need, Nick?” He spoke into the phone. I could only hear the sound of muffled chatter from the other end nothing specific but whatever Fury said to Tony must have been significant because suddenly it was as though every emotion missing from Tony for the last few moments flashed across his face at once as he sat up stick straight. He remained silent but the color drained almost entirely from him.
I narrowed my eyes at the man before me, wondering what had caused him to react in such a way. Still, Tony was silent. He looked nothing like himself. After a few more seconds of his strange behavior he stood from his seat, not saying a word to me as he left the room, drink left barely touched. I stared at the dark liquor for a long time, shoulders drawn together with tension.
Thoughts of my sister swarmed my mind. We’d never really been apart like this before, even under Strucker’s experimentations we were kept close to each other. I couldn’t remember a time when we’d ever been at odds like this. But she had made a choice, I tried to remind myself. It was her choice to go against the accords, she’d chosen to betray us; I ignored the memories of attending protests together, the civil unrest we’d both been apart of back in Sokovia.
That was how I got through the coming days as well, I did my best to push the unwanted memories to the back of my mind. Tony had made himself scarce since his ominous phone call with Nick Fury and I hadn’t heard Vision speak at all since we’d returned. The compound was too quiet, I felt like I was going out of my mind. There was nothing to distract myself from the echoes of Nadia’s voice.
I tried to work out, but it was as though she was right there with me in the training room. Everywhere I went I could feel her gaze following me. Yet, whenever I’d turn, she was nowhere to be seen. During the day I could redirect my thoughts, each time my mind would shift to her I’d force myself to think of something else. However, at nighttime I was not so in control. She existed freely in my dreams, occupying every crevice of my mind, conquering my every thought. It was as though there was some part of me that belonged, in its entirety, to her. No matter how much I tried to ignore it or avoid dealing with those thoughts, that piece of me would always be reserved for her. It was maddening, utterly infuriating; she had made her choice, that was what I told myself, again and again. Yet, no matter how many times I repeated it like a mantra, it was still her voice in the back of my head.
“For the record, I didn’t want it to end like this.”
In my mind that was much louder than my own voice. It was all I could hear and every time I’d remember the soft look she’d given me, the gleam of tears building in her pretty eyes.
It was already unbearable as it was, but now it was also accompanied by the knowledge that she’d shredded the files tying me to Hydra.
One final act of gentleness toward me.
I couldn’t think about it anymore. Not when I was struggling to even pinpoint what I was feeling. At the airstrip I’d been mad, furious, but mostly what I hadn’t realized then was that I was also terrified. Terrified of what it would mean if Nadia and Wanda chose to go against the accords, and completely petrified of losing them both.
I guess at least now I did not have to wonder what would happen.
In an attempt to dull the thoughts suffocating me, I sat down behind Tony’s desk and began writing them down. Hoping that if I could get them out onto the page, I’d finally get a moment of peace.

“I have something for you.” Wanda said and opened her little bag.
Before she pulled something out of her bag she looked at you again “Close your eyes” your best friend said and you closed them. Because it was not your birthday or any other celebration you were so excited to see what she had for you.
“Can I look now?” You asked her.
“Yes, you can.” When you opened your eyes, you saw Wanda holding two friendship bracelets in her hand.
“Wow, Wands they are so beautiful.”
“Thank you, I made them by myself. One is for you.” Wanda said and handed you one of the bracelets. You both put them on your wrist and smiled at each other.
“Promise me that we stay friends forever.” She said and held her pinky out for you to take.
You lock your pinky into hers “pinky promise.” You both said at the same time with big smiles in your faces.
…
The months passed by and your friendship began to get stronger and stronger. You saw each other every day at school and after school you went to hers or she went to yours. The Maximoff family was like a second family to you. Her parents loved you and Pietro was like a brother to you. Pietro hated it when you were playing some silly jokes on him but at the end you were all laughing. Every Friday was a movie night or you were playing games together. Wanda always wanted to watch “The Dick van dyke show”, hearing her laugh immediately made you laugh, too.
You always had so much fun together but one day everything has changed. You had to move away because your dad got a job in New York. The moment your parents told you, you began to cry and asked them to stay. But you couldn’t do anything about it, you were just a kid, and your dad really needed that job. At night you prayed and wished that you didn’t have to move away, that you won’t lose Wanda. A few days later you told Wanda, while your mum talked with her parents. Wanda and you cried and promised each other to be still friends. The next days you spent as much time together as possible. You made sleepovers and took some pictures together. Some with Pietro, one with her whole family and some with just the two of you.
Two months later you were saying goodbye to Wanda and her family. You hugged all of them for the last time. When you drove away in the car, you waved to her one last time and hoped to see her again someday.
….
The years passed and you were now living in your own apartment in New York and were going to college. When you heard about the bombing in Sokovia you couldn’t believe it. Your parents couldn't figure out if they were still alive. In a box you saved all the things you shared with Wanda and the friendship bracelet you wear every day.
….
You were currently sitting at a coffee shop learning for an upcoming test when the worker turned on the news. Your heart began to rise when you heard that the avengers were having a battle in your hometown. You began to get nervous and started to play with your friendship bracelet. The reporter showed a video clip someone filmed there. You could see the avengers fighting. Suddenly they showed a video of the new avengers. The reporter said that they had no idea who that was, but you do. It’s your childhood best friend, Wanda Maximoff and her brother Pietro. When the video ended the reporter said that they will keep us up to date. Everyone in the cafe was shocked and got nervous. You packed your things and went to your apartment.
You couldn’t sleep that night and every few minutes you checked the news if there was something new.
When you woke up to the sun shining through the curtains, you realized that you must have fallen asleep somehow. You immediately checked your phone and saw that the Avengers Instagram account had announced that they were having a press conference in a few days to talk about Sokovia and the new avenger. You decided to go there and maybe you have the chance to meet Wanda and talk to her.
That was the reason why you were now standing outside of the building waiting for it to end so when they walk out, you’ll hopefully see her. The conference has ended a few minutes ago and you were waiting for her to come out. What if it was a bad idea and she doesn't want to see you? What if Wanda doesn't remember you? Maybe you should leave? But what if she wants to see you and thought about you all the time? When you heard voices, your thoughts stopped and you turned around. The Avengers were coming out of the building. They were walking in groups. Natasha and Clint, Tony and Rhodey, Steve, Sam and Bucky. And at the end you saw Wanda and wondered where Pietro was. They all walked past you without noticing you deep into their conversations. You only realized that Wanda passed you when you saw her walking a few steps away.
"Wands" you called out. They all turned around wondering who you are. Wanda's eyes met yours and tears were forming in hers.
"Y/N?" She said while walking into your direction.
"Yes, it's me.“
"Please, tell me I'm not dreaming." Wanda said.
"It's real Wands, I promise." You confirmed and held your hand into the air so she could see the friendship bracelet she gave you.
"What is happening" you heard Sam whisper to the others and they were just shaking their head.
“But Wanda where… where is Pietro?” Wanda looked at the ground and you could tell what might have happened. You could see how Bucky started to smile when he saw you walking up to Wanda and pulling her into a hug.
"I thought I would never see you again." Wanda said as she broke the hug.
"Oh, Wands I'm so sorry. I promise this time I'm not leaving."

Queens of Promise - Part 7
Summary: Between battles and treasons, a new emotion comes to play. And oh poor Wanda, she found herself a traitor.
A/N: Look at me keeping my promises, but have to warn you though, chapter 11 progress is slower than I had planned. But we’ll get there when we get there. Well, I am dropping hints to solve the big puzzle (at least I think I am haha), do you guys have any theories by now?
Trigger Warning: Violence, mentions of blood, death. Game of Thrones canon violence. Previous parts here
"Between heaven and hell"
#just because I love her smile in this gif Fury Valley – Improvised Campsite
You looked around the place and saw people arguing, while others tried to make any sense out of this madness.
Present in Wanda’s tent were only the ones both Princesses trusted with their lives. That being said, Lady Rambeau, Lady Danvers and Lord Barton were your companions while Wanda called for Lady Romanoff, Lady Dreykov and Knight Bishop’s presence.
Sir Barnes wasn’t attending the meeting for he had marched north earlier that morning with part of his men as to inform the King about the death of Lord Rogers.
The fireplace attracted your eyes, and the fire dancing drew your attention for what felt like a lifetime but, in reality, only minutes had passed.
Your head flew miles away from Fury Valley, for Lord Wilson was on his way to Triskelion to inform the Queen about the ambush and the failed mission of returning Lord Rogers to Sokovians’ care.
Queen Calanthe would be mad, for sure. This was unacceptable, how could a simple task go so wrong as this one had? In a span of hours, you had analyzed and overanalyzed the past events trying to find where your mistake was.
Some of the best soldiers, ones that you trusted with your own life, were tasked with the burden of keeping and protecting Lord Rogers. It was as though they didn’t even have the chance to stand a fight and oh she knew how skilled they were.
You’ve been into many battles so far and had experienced some chaotic fights, but the attackers came out of the blue and easily outnumbered Taharrian and sokovian’s troops. It was messy and hectic, especially when you were trying not to die all the while making sure your nemesis wouldn’t get hurt as well.
Gladly enough, you were able to keep Princess Maximoff alive, otherwise this whole messed up situation would be even more chaotic. Suddenly, bile climbed through your throat as you thought about the possibility of Wanda’s death. It bothered you to no end and made your heart clench at the mere idea.
Why, though?
In terms of politics, it was only obvious what problems this would entail. If Wanda died this would mean extra violence from Sokovia. Because, if Loki were to die, no matter the situation, you’d wreak havoc to avenge your brother, surely King Pietro wouldn’t do any different.
In theory, protecting Wanda was a must. Firstly, to avoid more problems; secondly, chances were that you could warm your way to Wanda, therefore, you could try and ease the tension to stop the war for good.
However, deep down you knew these reasons were just the political Princess in you speaking. Deep down you knew there were ulterior motivations, maybe they weren’t clear to you just yet – or maybe it was clear, yet you kept in denial.
There was something about Wanda that pulled you towards her. It was something different from everything you ever felt, but somehow you knew she meant more than a possible acquaintance or possible not-enemy. To say Sokovia could be a friend was too much. Not-foe was good enough for you.
She shouldn’t mean anything to you, so why was she so important to the point your body would physically reject even the mere thought of her death? Why does your heartbeat lose compass when thinking about hers stopping for good?
Angry shouts broke through your bubble of thoughts and your head surfaced back to the exchange going on the tent. Lady Danvers had her hands in fists and was ready to attack no one other than Princess Maximoff herself. While Bishop only listened and swapped few words with Barton, Maria and Natasha argued near the fireplace.
Lady Dreykov was massaging her chin and judging by the distance, the cause of her discomfort probably was Carol’s fist. Sighing, you got up to your feet and walked towards the others.
“This is your fault, Princess.” Danvers’ eyes were red, visibly distressed, she had lost good friends the day before and this was a wound too fresh. “You brought this to yourselves, and now it’s rubbing on us.”
“This is outrageous! And you should take your tone down a notch, I’m not your Lioness that allows you to speak as you want. I’m Wanda Maximoff, Princess of Sokovia and you’ll treat me as such.” The redhead spat back at the lady in front of her.
“My Princess is a respectable warrior, one of the greatest that I had had the pleasure to serve, now I can’t speak the same about you.” Carol growled, eyes screaming danger. Not that Maximoff was one to bother with threats. Spoken or not.
“Draw your sword, peasant, and I’ll give you something to talk about me.” Wanda countered and this threat was plain as it can be. “While you still have your head above your shoulders.”
Before Carol could do anything stupid and force Wanda’s hand, you stepped between both woman, hoping you could try and calm their nerves.
“As entertaining as it could be, I’m afraid we have more pressing matters right now.” You spoke alternating your look between your Captain and the princess. “And we have to work together if we want to get to the bottom of this problem.”
“Work together?” Lady Romanoff took one step closer to the three of you, and the others gathered closer as well. The assassin in front of you had her brows furrowed, possibly trying to think how sworn enemies could work together without killing each other.
“Precisely.” You replied now focused on the spy in front of you. “It seems we found a common foe and I don’t know about you, but I want to know who they are.”
“We already know who they are, princess!” Lady Danvers, though a little more collected, spat once again. “It’s probably the Kree that this woman, disregarding all the suffering in Noveria, called back to our lands.”
You flinched at the accusatory tone, but also at the pain coating every single word pronounced by your dear friend. You understood where she was coming from, it could be the Kree, indeed. However, the mercenaries, though ruthless, didn’t seem to be the type of men the northern barbarians would choose for a job.
“Refer to me as this woman one more time and I’ll teach you how to address to a princess properly.” The redhead barked and you saw her hand looking for the hilt of her sword. Wanda was on edge with the attack, of course, but she still got a short fuse.
Faster than you or anything you had to say, Carol threatened again. “You can shove your little title on your ass, Your Highness. You brought these barbarians here, I wanna see what you’re going to do now.”
Wanda growled, audibly, with her hand clutching around her sword dangerously. Their nerves were escalating out of proportion, so you did the first thing that came to your mind. Almost innocently, you placed your hand on Wanda’s shoulder as if trying to ground her, somehow.
For a few moments, she let it. Her eyes trailed to your hand and to back to your eyes for a few seconds until she figured this intimacy wasn’t appropriate enough for her taste and slapped your hand away, as one does with a disgusting fly.
“Carol.” Your tone was underlined with a warning and the woman looked at you. “I understand and respect your worries but you, of all people, know that the Kree wouldn’t hire some bandits to attack us. They’d do it themselves. And these guys bled red just as we did.”
You held Carol’s eye contact, until the woman relented and nodded at you. Her instance, in turn, shifted from dangerous-ready-to-attack to attention. She was ready to jump into action if needed but took a few steps back and let go of this argument.
Again, you tried, this time looking around the room as to emphasize your words. “Together. Is the only way to find out who set us up.” You were rewarded with some nods but soon Wanda found her voice again and dropped a bucket of cold water on your ideas.
“Bold of you to assume that I’ll work with your… scum.” She dropped her hands to her hips in a defiant pose. “We can fend for ourselves.”
There were thousands of remarkable comebacks that you could throw her way, but you limited yourself to sigh. Taking a deep breath as if said breath could summon a little more patience, you commanded everyone in the room to leave. Taharrian or Sokovian, every single one of the presents obeyed.
“Ladies, gentleman, could you excuse us for a moment?” Your voice was soft, a simple request but still a command. Wanda was completely impressed with how easy her own people followed your demand.
It was impressive how you didn’t have to try, there was just this sheer confidence in your whole body as if this was a physical trait now. But if the redhead thought about it, your whole life you grew up knowing you’d be a ruler and your whole life you prepared yourself to stand tall before friend or foe.
Just like you had said to her, years ago, at King Tony and Queen Pepper’s wedding: “Enemies must see our strength. Flaws and weakness may encourage rebellion, we can’t afford that.” Wanda, for sure, saw the strength but something else.
Kindness.
You were sarcastic, yes. Extremely playful at moments that Wanda deemed inappropriate, not to mention the suggestions about intimacy that you insisted it should be public knowledge. However, she had never seen you speak unkindly with your subordinates and subjects, especially with hers.
Your strength relied, Wanda understood, not in your combat skills or obvious knowledge but because you were always kind and behaved as if there was no difference between ruler and ruled. And, more importantly, this wasn’t an act or a play to full or lure people into you.
It was simply who you were.
The power held by your eyes, scanning Wanda’s soul was too entrancing, maddening even. So the princess took one step back and busied herself with a cup of wine, not bothering to offer you one. Her body reacted strangely when you were close to her and all she needed right now was distance.
But she wasn’t getting any.
Wanda watched as Maria Rambeau stopped close to you on her way out of the tent and when your eyes were drawn to your friend, Wanda realized she could breathe again.
Your attention shifted from Wanda, who watched you like a hawk, to Maria, who had a not so satisfied knowing look on her face.
“I see the way you look at her.” Her voice was low as to not draw attention, especially from whom she was talking about.
You smiled softly, hoping this could settle some of her worries. It didn’t.
“Before you go and try to get into her bed, can I remind you that we’re at war and she is our enemy?” As last resort, Maria tried to knock some sense into your thick skull.
“Maria, have you ever seen me do something so stupid like that?” You asked, the face of seriousness, but she wasn’t buying. She knew you too well now.
“Dozens of times. Literally.” She hissed, letting you know she wasn’t amused by your attitude. “And I saved your ass a lot to know that when you want a woman, you get. But maybe, this time would be wise to avoid more problems with the Maximoffs.” You could see right through her scolding. She was concerned.
“I know what I’m doing, Rambeau. Trust me.” You flash her a sly smile as if this could help settle part of her worries, but a shake of her head as she walked out of the tent told you that she trusted that you would make something stupid. As always.
And you probably would.
Wanda Maximoff possesses an undeniable beauty that verges perfection itself and after the past few days made you realize that she’s way much more than a pretty face, for you saw not only her fighting skills but also how intelligent she was.
If anything, the woman you came to know was beyond extraordinary and she had you admiring her, drowning in those deep, green orbs without a single clue as to how pull back.
You took a long, deep breath and exhaled audibly as if this could clear your head.
“I know you don’t like us. Or trust us.” You started and after her eyes locked with yours again, you continued. “But these men killed Lord Rogers, so you’d think we lied about our bargain.” You spoke softly, Wanda was only a few steps away from you.
“You weren’t supposed to be part of the exchange, Princess. Think. Everything adds up.” You pleaded. “So many bandits? Only a few would survive this massacre and the news at Wolfgang would be that we killed Rogers even though we agreed with a truce. Even though you agreed with a truce.”
“Not to mention that those shady men looked awfully like the ones attacking your crops at Karov before this all began.” You added as an afterthought.
Your voice resonated through the tent while Wanda’s head spun. “How do I know that you’re not lying to me right now?” Then she looks at you once more. “How can I be sure you’re speaking the truth?”
The intensity poured from her eyes was breathtaking. Your stomach fluttered as if you were on your ship in the middle of a summer storm, even though your feet were very much grounded.
It was unsettling.
“You can’t.” Finally, you found your voice somehow. She turned to look at you again, alarmed this time, but your face was blank. No mockery, no deceit. “There’s nothing that I can do to make you believe in me. And there’s nothing that I can say to make you trust me.” You elaborated.
She remained still, simply watching your every more or word as if her mind eye could see the truth through your words. Then, you tried again.
“So, I say you gotta risk it, Wanda. That’s the moment you got to choose. You can get out of your comfort zone and get to the bottom of this pile of lies or keep your head stuffed in the sand like an emu and pray for everything to be okay again.”
“Spoiler alert: it won’t.” You added, running your hand through your hair restlessly.
Wanda snorted at your words more out of reflex while her heart pondered about their meaning. And the more she learned about you, the more she felt you were right and being nothing but truthful.
But old habits die hard. She was raised to hate your kind. Liberalists like you never paid attention to the traditional ways, never respected other sovereigns, always mingling with some other kingdom’s war.
In Taharr anyone who proved their loyalty to the crown and did great services to the realm were granted with a lordship or ladyship, this meant that a commoner could rise on the society disregarding other traditional families. Actions like these certainly encouraged rebellion, enviousness, she supposed.
Vision always mentioned how brutal the Taharrians were. Or how there’s always someone aspiring to take the Queen down. For they envy more power than they could get, boldened with titles that didn’t and shouldn’t belong to them. Commoners always aspired for more than they could have.
Wasn’t this line of thought right?
However, if the past few weeks taught her something was that her previous knowledge didn’t add up with what she was seeing.
Maria Rambeau rose from nothing, yet she was an outstanding warrior and clearly had the respect of her peers. She clearly had your respect. And she, definitely, didn’t look like someone who would scheme to bring the royalty down.
And even Wanda knew how devoted Lord Barton was, he treated you as if you were his own daughter and would lay himself on the ground if that meant you wouldn’t get dirt on your feet.
Wanda sighed. She was tired. Tired of fighting, arguing, thinking, learning.
“Lord Rogers was my subject, just as the people affected by the heists.” Wanda’s eyes locked on yours and you saw, again, her protective walls closing around her. “My people, my problem. You have your truce. So, take your men to your south.”
“These are my people too, not only yours Wanda. They are women, children and they deserve to live their lives without fear. War is our life, not theirs. Let us help you hunt down whoever’s behind this.” You were adamant on not letting her shut you out now. Only your combined forces and minds could make any sense out of this puzzle. “Let me help you.”
Still, she could not see it the way you did.
“You want to conquer us so you can have all the resources to yourself. The great, relentless Queen Calanthe who can’t be defeated surely wants to defeat the Maximoffs and get our lands. She’d become a legend, not that she isn’t one already.” Wanda spat the same speech she had been for the past years.
It wasn’t difficult to understand that Novi Grad as one realm again would have no match in this continent, maybe even in Westeros. Food, gold or spears, never ran low in Taharr and in Sokovia, imagine how giant their kingdom would be if their forces were combined?
Queen Calanthe had tried a diplomatic approach before, Wanda remembered. Still hurts. Her father and mother were interested in a peaceful negotiation, but fate got in the way before any real discussion could take place.
During their trip to south, as they were the first Sokovians’ sovereign in ages to be welcomed in Triskelion, the ship her parents were travelling in got lost in a storm and separated from the escort vessels, then when pirates attacked, they were outnumbered and did not survive.
If Princess Maximoff were to be reasonable your mother wasn’t the one to blame, much less you, not really. But she was emotional, her heart blamed the gods, the seas but specially the Taharrians for trying to reach out and solve your quarrels.
If her parents didn’t leave the castle, didn’t leave Wolfgang, they’d be safe and still alive. She wouldn’t have to take hard decisions if they were alive; Her and Pietro wouldn’t be orphans at a young age, and they definitely wouldn’t be alone for almost a decade by now.
The hatred, the blame… She knew this was repetitive, but your presence was making her feel ill.
She couldn’t breathe, there were shivers up and down her spine whenever you made eye contact and her body itched. Maybe you had sabotaged her wine, for she knew this was your doing, somehow, and for that she hated you.
“This war was your idea, your caprice, not ours. This is not about our ambitiousness, but this thick proud heads of yours that can’t see past your hatred.” You bellowed, exasperated at how blind and stubborn a person could be. How stubborn Wanda was.
“Stop.” It was her turn to roar, and it nearly startle you. “Stop talking. We are enemies, not allies and I don’t need your protection in my own land.” She shouted, stressing her words as she spoke as if this was a concept that was taking too long for you to grasp. A concept that you should’ve known already.
You bit your tongue about the protection part.
“Can’t you see that I’m tired of your stupid face and poor excuses? Can’t you see that I hate you?” Wanda continued, barking her words so passionately and you knew she meant it, this was the real Wanda Maximoff, devoid of all her decorous layers.
“You barely know me, Maximoff. Why do you hate me?” Your reply came in a serene voice that was so soft that made Wanda’s head spin for a moment due the contrast. “For real, not this childish reference about our realms feud.”
You took one step towards her and saw Wanda’s eyes go down to your feet and back to your eyes. As if this action could make you stop walking. It didn’t. “Tell me why do you look at me the way you do, as if I had personally inflicted you pain? Even the way you pronounce your hate towards me feels personal. Why?”
Wanda’s body now shook and every single step you took closer only provoked waves and waves of this strange feeling that she didn’t have a name for. For the nth time, Wanda felt conflicted about her emotions, and she didn’t know what to do.
There was something powerful between the two of you and she always named it as hate. Though, inside her heart she knew this hate was different. She hated everything you made her feel. Hell, she hated the intensity which you looked at her right now.
Desire.
Everything she wanted, everything she desired was to hate you the way she’s supposed to. But she desires to learn who the real woman beneath your title is. Wanda desires to understand how can you affect her so much, without even trying?
Against better judgement, the redhead caught herself replying.
“Because you get under my skin, more than anyone has ever been. And for that I hate you.” Wanda’s voice was low, but still had an edge of something that made your skin crawl. “Because I don’t know why I want you to go further.”
You stood there, bewitched by her presence and words. Even in the poor light, her green orbs shone more than thousands of stars, and their power sent shivers down your body like never before.
Wanda Maximoff took one step closer, and you felt as though she was stealing the air. As though her powers included to freeze you in place so you could all but admire her perfections. Your chest was beating erratically and, though you tried, you couldn’t avert your eyes away from her.
Right in that moment, you were her willing prisoner.
Your mouth was dry, but you managed a few words. “I’m tired of fighting, Maximoff.”
With her, with Sokovia, with bandits, with enemies, with the foreign emotions she made you feel. You didn’t want to fight anymore. “I hate you.” As her hot breath hit your face, you could feel her voice burning with passion as she meant every word she spoke. Though, none of you knew that this feeling was not hate at all. Quite the opposite.
“I hate you too.” Your voice was flat, but you couldn’t deny or pretend that your heart wasn’t hammering inside your ribcage. Especially now that you realized how close you were.
Until you weren’t.
As if in slow motion, you felt Wanda pulling you by the fabric of your tunic into her personal space and attacked your lips.
For a whole moment, you froze but a second later you kissed her back. As if acting on automatic, your arms pulled her into you by grabbing her waist, completely flushing her body against yours.
Then everything was Wanda. Her hair, her tongue, her mouth, her hands. It was as if she was claiming your very soul with such a simple action.
The princess gasped softly when her back touched the table behind her, allowing your tongue to slip past her lips. Your eyes rolled to the back of your skull when her tongue clashed against yours for dominance, and your heartbeat was so erratic that you thought your organ would explode.
It was a sweet battle provided by her soft lips and you, for once, didn’t mind in fight.
Usually, your senses wouldn’t be so slow to keep a track of your surroundings, but you were so drunk in her scent, so lost in her lips that took you a little too long to grasp a shift on the atmosphere in the tent.
Somehow, a voice inside your head screamed for you to break the kiss. Later you’d thank that voice.
As soon as you pulled back from Wanda, you saw two things: one, the redhead lips chasing after yours as to reconnect the kiss and two, a figure in full black with a dagger centimeters away from the two of you.
It was remarkable how fast your survivor mode kicked in.
With one hand, you pushed Wanda away from you, so her back arched further over the table. But before she could complain at your sudden harshness, she saw your other hand blocking the hooded figure from slashing her metal over your heads.
Quite out of character, Wanda screamed in horror before her head broke from her stupor and joined the fight.
You were skilled, very much so, you and Wanda knew this. But your opponent was faster, and far much more skilled. You dodged, threw objects, tried to block with anything you could find and counterattack with anything resembling a weapon, but this new enemy kept moving around the tent relentlessly.
Few cuts were already visible on your tunic, and you knew some of those had reached your skin, nothing life threatening, but if you kept this pace, this assassin would have you in shreds in minutes.
Wanda attacked and the assassin’s attention shifted to her, granting you time and space to attack with a fire poker. Though before you could do real harm, they turned back to you and counterattacked.
Helped by the furniture that got in the way, they had you pinned down and their dagger were centimeters away from your throat. Their hood only allowed you to see only their eyes and it was darker and colder than the northern seas at night.
They’d be your demise.
Then, everything seemed to happen at the same time.
There was a commotion at the entrance of Wanda’s tent and the assassin blinked right before you could see a piece of metal piercing their neck, then their lifeless body weighted over you. In shock, you realized, Wanda had just saved your life.
As you pushed the body off you onto the ground, you locked eyes with her, and you could see the despair flooding those green orbs that you grew so fond of. She was scared and your heart ached to comfort her, but you weren’t alone anymore.
Your moment was broken. Just as fast as it started.
Wanda dropped her sword as if the metal piece weighted a ton, her hands were shaken and her whole body shook with a sick feeling that she couldn’t control. Or understand.
She hated you, yet she had kissed you and her lips still tasted yours when the idea of losing you was terrifying.
“Princess!” Maria Rambeau and Natasha shouted at the same time as they approached both women.
Lady Rambeau kneeled by your side and accessed your wounds. “Princess!” She patted your cheek lightly as to bring you out of your shock until your eyes focused on hers.
“I’m okay, Maria.” Your voice was low, almost as if you weren’t really paying attention at her. She followed your gaze and found that you had averted your eyes back to Wanda.
“She’s fine, Princess.” Maria reassured, thinking you were worried that Wanda got hurt.
Well, you were worried, but you were still trying to process everything that had happened in a span of minutes. You went from arguing to kissing to fighting for your lives and now her eyes burned your heart and soul.
You nodded and let the past events fall to the back of your head, at least for now, for Romanoff’s voice brought your attention back to present as soon as it reached your ears.
“A Black Widow.” The assassin revealed, ravaging through the dead’s clothes as to find any clues.
That made sense. Only someone with that skill level could easily overpower you and Wanda at the same time. Only someone with spy skills could’ve entered the tent after strutting the campsite undetected.
Then, after looking on another pocket, the Sokovian spy found more clues to add to the pot. A golden coin unmistakably from Sokovia and a small pendant beautifully worked in a golden form of a lioness.
All eyes were on you.
“I’m afraid you’re their target, Your Highness.” Natasha voiced what everyone in the tent were already thinking. After all pockets were cleared, she got up to her feet and dropped both the pendant and the coin on the table.
Wanda took small steps towards the objects as if they were a menace. The implications were clear: someone in Sokovia wanted the Young Lioness dead and the prospect of your death made her sick in the stomach. Somehow, it felt as if she was responsible for your attack.
“Who would want you dead?” Maria asked to no one in special. It was more a question to herself, as if the action could help her find the answers of this entangled puzzle overflowing with odd things or facts that didn’t add up.
“Who doesn’t?” You retorted sarcastically, and the captain sighed, relieved that you were back to your common self, no longer lost in shock. “Wanda?” You asked tentatively and the woman locked eyes with you.
A sour taste impregnated her mouth and Wanda’s head couldn’t seem to stop replaying the scene of the assassin with their knife ready to slice your throat and the life out of you. The Scarlet Knight tried to focus, but her nerves got the best of her.
“I don’t know.” Wanda’s eyes were glossy, and she hated to be seen so weak. Not in front of Lady Rambeau or Natasha, but in front of you. “Please, leave.” She sobbed and turned away from you.
Romanoff’s head turned to her protégé, then at you and nodded. Silently asking you to comply with the Maximoff’s request.
You hesitated. You wanted to take the remaining steps that separated you from Wanda, so you could comfort her and hold her until everything was sorted and solved. But you didn’t.
In the end of the day, Wanda Maximoff was still your enemy, and you were a Lioness with a dead bounty over your head. Nodding back to Natasha, you left the tent without looking back.
As you walked away, Wanda felt a heavy cold blanket covering her whole body. There was a traitor playing the cards, that much was clear, but right then and there, she couldn’t help but think that she too was a traitor.
It was undeniable that there was a pull between the two of you, and she understood that her heart, somehow, harbored feelings towards someone she wasn’t supposed to. She was a princess from a realm with a deadly war against yours, her captain got killed after you took him as hostage, yet she couldn’t bring herself to think as she used to.
Traitor.
With the tip of her fingertips, she traced her lips and the redhead sworn she could still taste yours. It was exhilarating, disturbing, yet magical. One touch and the whole room vanished, one kiss and she forgot who she was.
Yes, she was a traitor. In her mind’s eye, this was unacceptable, absurd even. How one develops feelings towards their enemy? Fortunately, your home was far, far away from hers. Maybe with distance she’d come to her senses and her heart would stop betraying her reason.
Maybe with distance, she wouldn’t betray herself.

The next few days nothing really changed. Well, actually, your guard had increased in number and in patrols and even in your tent there would be a knight to protect you in case another assassin decided to show up.
Everyday Sokovians and Taharrians reunited in order to discuss their ideas or knowledge about this strange web of facts. And the sum of their info together granted them few answers.
For starters, they understood that Hydrarr had more participation in this mess than they previously thought, for Natasha tracked the dead Black Widow and learned that the woman lived in Cross Bones Village – Hydrarr’s Capital. With the wax and the assassin, this couldn’t be a coincidence.
Secondly, the group asserted that the bandits that attacked them several days ago were the same bandits railing Sokovia’s crops this whole time.
And third, the pendant with a lioness beautifully crafted in gold had an artist signature from Wolfgang Village, a man that only worked for the nobility in Sokovia and probably kept a record of his services.
So, this strange group of detectives formed by sworn enemies, realized that someone in Hydrarr or Sokovia, maybe both, was calling the shots in this dubious game of war. And this someone belonged to nobility with access to the castle and to King Pietro, for they knew where the entourages would meet to retrieve Lord Rogers.
Days had passed and though it was incredibly good to learn so many things about this war, you couldn’t shake away the memory of Wanda’s kiss.
Despite your attempts, Wanda never allowed you back into her tent for a private meeting. And after having your request denied twice, you understood the message, she didn’t want to be alone with you. She didn’t want to talk about the kiss nor to relieve it.
You respected her, of course. Even in your head this romance seemed farfetched, and this was saying something when you had your share of complicated relationships before. This wasn’t complicated, this was a girlish dream where one could find their soulmate and live happily ever after.
Real life was not a fairy tale.
As the meetings prolonged, you would always take your time to look at Wanda. To properly look at her. Somedays she’d show up dressed in confidence and others you’d see her puffed eyes or her strained smiles.
But there wasn’t a single day where you didn’t want to reach her and simply hold her body against yours. Touch her silk like skin, feel her warmth, feel her breath, feel her.
Much like a virus, the Maximoff impregnated and flooded your thoughts day and night. Though you had never felt like this before, you knew that your heart was inexorably falling. And there was nothing that you could do about it.
Unfortunately, there were still some mysteries to solve, and the increasing amount of snow was a somber reminder that their leads would run cold if they did not hurry. And that meant that they had to leave the camp and march their respective homes.
Only you couldn’t.
There was no way in hell that you would go back to Triskelion without getting to the bottom of this. The only problem was that the answers were guarded in Wolfgang, Sokovia’s Capital. You couldn’t just ask your unit to go with you, this would attract too much attention. Not to mention the danger and, of course, Wanda would never allow it.
You needed to go on stealthy mode. Luckily, you knew the perfect person for it. You only had to convince your guards to march south without you.
“Not going to happen.” Lady Danvers exclaimed as soon as you shared your plan.
“C’mon, Danvers, don’t start acting all serious and preoccupied now. You’re fan of action just as I am.” You intervened. “I just need you to stall.”
She snorted. “Do you have any idea of what your mother will do to me? Or my wife?” Carol ran a hand through her hair, and this was her tell-tale that she was already worried about the outcomes. She knew you too well, though, you wouldn’t change your mind.
“It won’t be your fault. Barton and I will march right after the Sokovians and everybody else will think I’m resting inside my tent.” You tried, you needed her help, otherwise Maria would think the Sokovians kidnapped you and would wrack havoc until she gets you back.
“Fuck.” Carol spat, then nodded. She hated being your friend. “But this is madness, Princess.”
“What’s the worst thing that can happen to me?” You opened your arms and looked around as to show her the place you were in, for in your head, a bounty was worse than death itself.
A threat like this is like breathing with a heavy rock over your chest. It’s breathing, but like hell uncomfortable. “Valar Morghulis.” You enchanted something that your years wandering in Essos and Westeros had taught you.
“Good luck explaining that to the Queen.” Carol kept her façade, but you knew she’d give in. She always did. No matter how much in trouble she’d get into.
You looked around, you didn’t have much time. The Sokovians would leave soon, and you wanted to go on their wake. Not too close as to not draw attention and not too far as to stay too exposed, alone in the woods that you and Barton knew so little about.
Captain Danvers sighed and cursed herself lowly before asking. “What do you think you’re going to do?”
“Clint used to be a spy and his stealthy skills are undeniable.” You began, the plan had one too many blank spots, and anything could go wrong, but you and Lord Barton knew about the risks. You were both going into this willingly and highly aware of its dangers.
“We’re going as commoners to Wolfgang Village, maybe stay a few days in a brothel as to keep a low profile while we’ll investigate the leads we have so far.” You shared your ideas, it looked simple, and you only hoped it wouldn’t get too complicated.
Carol’s hand pitched the bridge of her nose, as if foreseeing the possible outcomes of this absurd. “And you think they won’t recognize you at all?”
“Natasha Romanoff will help us. She’s aware of our plan.” You confided. It was astounding how easily was for the spy to agree with your plan, but you supposed that after losing her best friend, she’d want revenge and, in her mind, it didn’t matter who would help her get it.
She even tipped you about what gate you should use to access the city, for she knew they used to accept more gold than they should to let people inside the city without many questions.
“Does Princess Wanda know about this madness of yours too?” Carol inquired, voice far from the light tone she’s used to speak with. This is a death wish and she’s digging her own grave by indulging this foolish adventure.
Your eyes flashed with hurt, you didn’t have had alone time with Wanda, no matter how hard your heart craved for it. The kiss was a mistake, and the redhead was too intelligent, naturally she understood this. You, on the other hand, let the emotions get the best of you.
You wanted her still. Despite everything. Because of everything.
“Unknown.” You finally said. “I gotta go.” You muttered, after hearing the shouts of sokovians troops finally moving.
Carol nodded but hugged you before you could leave. “Please, don’t get yourself killed.”
“I won’t.” You smiled lightly at her and rushed through the trees where Clint was waiting for you with the horses and provisions, ready to sink in the craziest adventure ever.
A Lioness would enter the wolf’s den.

Behind the Scenes / Meta Commentary on RWBY: Amity Mega Thread.
I kinda want to take this time to and make a post detailing the kinda behind the scenes and processes that I went through while making this fanfic.
It’s nearing a full year that I’ve been working on this (the anniversary is June 1st I do believe). So I kinda. Just want to have a place to share and ramble on about what goes on inside my head while writing.
I started this fic when I was fresh out of high school and I have been struggling through college. The first 10 months was spent purely note taking. I was bing watching FRWBY and started to compare it to canon. Mostly V1-4 that is. Some parts of canon I really loved, such as the food fight or the Tyrian fight, or the lore. Man the lore is still something I think has me hooked to RWBY to this day. Of course this was a time when V8 was the last bit of RWBY content, so I was very not happy with the state of the show. So, I decided to write my own rewrite!
It was full of cliques and most of it took things either directly from FRWBY, canon, or other rewrites. This would become apparent to me down the line but for the first 3 months, it was nothing but making an outline for everything I needed.
It was a 10 Volume plan, structured into episodes that I would use as chapters. I think it was about 20 “episodes” per volume and it followed canon very closely. I only managed to write up an outline for one chapter, the very first one, and it was basically Salem and Ozpin’s talk from V1E1 mixed into the color trailers. It kinda worked out well because the last line of “a more simple soul” lined up with Ruby’s appearance in the Yellow Trailer. I also used the fractured moon as a transition, to really allow everything to feel connected. I had all of the color trailers happening in a single night, which looking back still feels like a cool idea.
Some parts of the original draft/notes have managed to remain a thing to this day. AroAce Ruby, Qrow being Ruby’s dad, Cardin being saved by Velvet, and Pietro and Maria having Ciel as their daughter are a few that come to mind.
Some more notable parts were scrapped when I later reworked the story into an AU. The Bees happening in V6, Summer turning out to be alive in the end, and Ironwood heroically sacrificing himself to slow down Salem. Some of those even if I wanted to keep now, would have no place in the story I’ve crafted today.
A story, with plots that I have planned out. The original draft didn’t have that until V9 and V10. The rest of it was basically canon retold. V1 ends fighting Torchwick, V2 ends with the Breach, V3 ends with the Fall of Beacon, etc. Anything else “original” was a long list of head canons that took up over 100 pages on Google Docs. My notes were all over the place and some conflicted with others.
I believe it was October that I decided to move from a rewrite to an AU. That was also the time that all of the stuff about RT came out and made me look back at some of the things I was going to include in my fic and made me realize: “Well I’m just repeating things that I find problematic in the show in my fic so am I really improving or changing anything?” That along with the lack of original ideas and direction made me sit down and get to work reforming my fic.
Before I get into that I want to mention that I did V9 both in a good and bad way. The good is that I really focused on each member of RWBY in the Ever After. Ruby with her role as a leader, Weiss with losing Atlas, Blake with feeling like she betrayed the Faunus, and Yang not feeling like she was able to protect those who she cared about. They all would talk and work together to help each other get back to Remnant and work through their problems. The bad is that half of the Volume was Ever After, and the other half was in Remnant following several factions across all of Remnant trying to gain support for the final battle at Beacon. So it was all over the place and no one got time to truly shine. Also I think this was the time that V9 was beginning to be teased so I was also trying to quickly add in details to an already messy Volume.
Step 1 was to organize my notes, which I did over the course of October to December(2022). November I spent diving into the wiki and this is where my 300+ characters came from. Worst part is? That the wiki has 400+ characters, I had to combine names and cut down a bit to make sure that everyone fit into four person teams. It’s closer to 200-250+ characters subtracting the major ones like Ruby or Coco or Whitley, etc. The rest were character names on Qrow’s scroll in V4, the huntsman boards in V7, and obscure mentions in books and side content. These names are mostly made up of those who worker on RWBY the same way game devs will include their names to plaques or memorials in games. To this day, I only have 12 of these characters figured out. Most characters are in Mistral with the least being in Vacuo. Can you guess which one I did first?
But yeah, that should be it for the start of this AU fic/project/thing. I will try my best to continue adding to this in the future.

ard talks about scp-5000
important note: scp-5000 is a work of fiction. it was created by the author Tanhony for the scp-5000 contest on the scp wiki, for which it became the winner.
i will be referencing the declassified reddit post as well as >this< reddit post.
have you ever heard the ballad of scp-5000? well if you haven’t i’ll give you a little summary here.
scp-5000 is a severely damaged suit called ‘the absolute exclusion harness’ that renders its wearer completely undetectable by man, machine and any entity supernatural, anomalous or otherwise. the suit appeared in scp-579′s containment chamber in a flash of light, severely damaged. its currently kept in a storage locker. but the suit isn’t whats important, the suit is merely a vehicle for the greater mystery here.
the suit contained the corpse of a man known as “pietro wilson” along with several files/journal entries written by wilson. only problem: pietro wilson is still alive, and still in the foundation’s employ, and more importantly: he doesn’t remember wearing the harness or writing those files.
we then launch into the story written within these files, trying to piece together just what the fuck is going on along with wilson as he makes his way across the country. he writes down what he sees, from the very first incident he encounters (his coworkers being killed by other foundation personnel that he, at first, believes are members of a GOI disguised as the foundation) to which scps have been released and the untold destruction of what the foundation has unleashed.
you see, the foundation has declared war on mankind. why, you ask? because of “IT”.
“IT” is responsible for all of humanity’s pain, for humanity’s ability to feel pain and all of the negative aspects associated with it. “IT” tortures humans eternally, trapping their consciousnesses inside of their rotting bodies once they die to feed off of their shock and horror as they wither away. “IT” is in the consciousness of every living human, and apparently, the foundation doesn’t have enough of its magic “cure” to go around. their solution? kill everyone.
somewhere along the journey wilson acquired a briefcase (containing scp-055) that he doesn’t know how he came into ownership of, and is headed towards scp-579. he doesn’t know why, he just knows he has to get to scp-579. wilson does reach 579, but he dies in the process, throwing the briefcase at 579 as he plummets to the bottom of the hole its kept in. he ends his logs with this line:
Oh … so that's how it is.
LIFE SIGNS LOST
the actual scp article ends here too, with a lengthy bit of blank space between the final log and the footnotes. if you open up the source code, you can actually find a hidden conversation, but we’re not here to talk about the ARG elements that tanhony very cleverly worked into scp-5000′s article, we’re here to talk about what it all means.
My Theory.
several people have put forward their own theories on what’s going on. the declassified article postulates the entity, the eponymous “IT” that lurks in our collective unconsciousness, is not just responsible for pain but empathy--meaning humanity’s nature is a byproduct of whatever it needs to feed off of us. their “cure” is a set of cognitohazardous images that apparently “releases” the viewer’s mind from “IT”.
but to me there’s just... something so OFF about how the foundation goes about this. if the entity feeds off of humanity’s pain, why is the foundation’s response to... cause more pain.
let me explain. in order to fight their war against humanity, the foundation decides to use their many anomalous creatures and items to help. for example: they release scp-682, they ask mr. deeds (scp-662) to assassinate people, they release the flesh that hates (scp-610) into major population centers. they released pictures of scp-096 onto social media, they weaponized cameron (scp-2241), they run propaganda using scp-1370, they release the builder bear (scp-1048) into paris. this isn’t even all of them. all of these scps were released to do the maximum amount of harm possible, and you know what else all these scps are causing? pain.
but the foundation is suppose to be doing this to free humanity from an entity that feeds off pain... right?
there’s a really interesting throwaway line in a log between a member of the GOC and a captured foundation agent. the GOC is currently holed up in ganzir, a city in the middle of the atlantic ocean that was meant to house humanity in the event of an apocalypse. here’s the quote:
“(...) No matter how many times you fire Able at her, Professor Crow's Europa will rip this place open before long. (...)“
Able. capital A. as in scp-076. that able. ignoring the question of why would the GOC work with an scp when their main mission is to destroy anomalies--why is able working with the GOC against the foundation? surely they would understand his psyche finally, now that they’re free of empathy and pain, right?
now obviously it might just be that able was one of the scps originally released to wreak havoc along with the others, only to turn on the foundation out of anger at being imprisoned for so long. he might just want revenge. the GOC might have just been able (haha) to get their hands on able’s resurrection box-coffin and are just repeatedly firing him at whatever prof. crows “europa” is. obviously we’ll never know for sure, but it struck me as odd.
because of all of these factors listed above, i want to put forward another idea: whatever “IT” is, the foundation might have found something cognitohazardous, and then spread it around as an apparent “cure”. dr. bright’s dialogue offers up some evidence to the affirmative:
Pietro: The second file? You saw it? (stands) What was it?!
Girl: Woah, cool your jets, kid. We've got all the time in the world. They were just a bunch of images - eggs, trees, religious stuff. Didn't mean anything to me by themselves, but I guess they had something encoded in them. (...)
do you know what that sounds like? the daevites have symbols that can turn anyone to their cause upon viewing them, and the scp foundation has made a similar image (scp-2140). these are known as cognitohazards, artifacts that can manipulate the mind through sight. whatever “IT” was, it might have influenced the foundation, and the “cure” they made increased its effects.
Final Thoughts.
scp-5000 is, in the end, a story that has no good ending, no matter what. the author of the declassified post theorizes that wilson throwing the briefcase containing scp-055 into scp-579 and resetting everything is the bad ending, because project PNEUMA is abandoned and “IT” will continue to lurk in the human collective unconscious. the author of the second linked reddit post, saying they don’t like scp-5000, theorizes empathy is what “IT” is responsible for, and that the story is needlessly nihilistic.
even with my own theory, i don’t think scp-5000 has a good ending. and i don’t think it’s suppose to. scp-5000 is nihilistic horror. it’s suppose to stick with you, it’s suppose to make you think and it’s suppose to make you feel bad and uncomfortable. that’s the point!! and that’s okay.
#scp foundation#scp 5000#scp#scp meta#long post#ard meta#< in case i ever write anything like this ever again

CHAPTER 13
I wasn't sure what to say to him, so I just stayed silent. He let out another heartfelt sigh and looked at the ground, shaking his head.
"It was a year ago now, when it happened, but I still remember it like it was yesterday."
The elevator doors opened and we stepped out simultaneously.
"It was after the battle with Ultron-"
"Ultron?" I asked, unsure of who or what exactly he was talking about.
"He was this psycho robot that Tony created by accident. He basically tried to destroy the world and the entire human race along with it," he answered.
"Oh," was all I could say.
"So, after the fighting stopped, there was this little boy who was trapped. Clint went to go save him, but the battle wasn't really over like we thought it was."
He took in a shaky breath and then continued with his story.
"Ultron had managed to get inside an aircraft, and he open fired. Before he got to Clint, I managed to shield him and the boy with a car. They were fine, they didn't get hurt."
"But, you did?" I asked, scared of what the answer might be.
"No, not hurt, I died. I didn't feel an ounce of pain because there was nothing left to feel anymore."
"Pietro," I said softly, unsure of what to say to him.
"After that, I don't know what happened exactly. All I know is that I woke up one day and I wasn't dead anymore. Dr Cho told me they'd regenerated all the damaged tissue, and that it was a miracle and I was lucky to be alive."
He paused momentarily, taking a deep breath yet again.
"But that's the thing. I don't feel lucky, I feel sore. It's like the pain I should've felt that day, I'm finally feeling it, and it hurts. I act like this cool, cocky guy all the time, but on the inside, I'm crying for help, aching for something to relieve me of my pain. And I'm scared-I'm scared that one day I'll go to sleep, or something will happen and this time, I won't wake up."
He looked at me, eyes glossy, tears ready to fall. I ached for this boy. I could feel the pain vibrating off his being, so I grabbed him by the shoulders and pulled him to me, holding him close as if he might just slip away.
"Shh Pietro," I cooed as he wept gently into my shoulder, his arms wrapped tightly around me, as if he too, were afraid I might go away.
We stayed like that for what felt like hours, when in reality it was probably just a matter of minutes.
We finally broke away and Pietro looked at me with pain filled eyes. My heart broke seeing him like this.
"Pietro, I'm really sorry about what happened. I'm sorry for bringing it up," I said, feeling pretty guilty for asking him about it in the first place.
"Y/n, don't worry about it. It's not your fault, it just hurts, you know? It's kind of like a wound that just hasn't healed yet. It's going to hurt for a while, but I'll be fine. I don't want you to worry about me."
He looked into my eyes as he spoke, and a million different feelings rushed through my body all at once.
"I-I can't help it," I stuttered, "I care about you Pietro."
He smiled warmly at this, and wiped a stray tear from my cheek with his thumb.
"I care about you too," he replied, almost in a whisper.
I didn't get any sleep that night. My mind was wandering and I was too busy thinking about Pietro to even try and go to sleep. It terrified me how much I cared about him. I was beginning to realise that my feelings for him were a lot more complex than I thought. Just the thought of him not being around to crack a bad joke and flash a cheesy grin was horrific to me. I had always been attracted to him, but now it was more than that. I'd always liked him, but now, it was as more than friends. I could never tell anybody though. I knew for a fact that he wouldn't feel the same.
At breakfast we were all sat around the table, just like always, when Steve said he had an announcement.
"Okay listen up. We have a new mission. Now, it's an undercover mission, so some of you will be staying here for intel and backup. First things first, the mission is to gather information and learn of Hydra's next move, what they're going to do, when they're going to do it, and how. There's a party tomorrow at one of the enterprises not too far from here, and Stark and Banner already found out which Hydra representatives are going to be there and at what time. Now this is how it's going to go down."
Steve began to point to each one of us in turn as he spoke.
"Romanov, Barton, Maximoffs, Thor, Wilson, y/l/n and I will be out in the field, which means that the rest of you, Vision, Stark, Banner, Rhodes and Hill, will be here, acting as our eyes and ears to let us know what's going on around us. Today, we're going to be planning for the mission, so after this I'll see all of you in the lab for another quick briefing. That's all for now," Steve said, nodding as he did so.
After he'd finally finished talking, he left the room and the rest of us began to get up from the table.
"Looks like we're going to be seeing a lot more of each other," I heard someone say.
I turned to face them, already knowing exactly who it was.
"What do you mean Pietro? We already see each other every day," I laughed.
"Oh you know what I mean," he said, laughing back at me.
"I'm glad to see you're back to your usual self," I smiled up at him.
"Yeah, I guess so," he said as he bit his lip.
As soon as he did that my heart began to race. Why did he have to be so fucking attractive all the time?

I know it’s dumb, but just… I don’t know, the whole situation with Pietro and Sam is stressing me out
And look, Sam’s my sister and I’ll stand with her though just about anything, and I have things to say to my brother but he’s still family. And I want to help. But I’m scared — not of either of them, gods know I’m not, but that I can’t help her. I know her past, and I’m insanely proud of how far she’s come lately. But… I don’t know how much I can help her. I mean, help has been therapy, and it’s doing good work. But I don’t know how — I’m a psychologist, I’ve run through every single bit of this in my head a thousand times. But I don’t know what to focus on anymore — I’ve focused on therapy, first off, and helping with postpartum things. But she needs so much more than we can do, and Pietro needs help too but I don’t know how best to give it to him. And if that marriage fails it might just break them both.
And I know they aren’t meant to be my problem, but Bruce, I can’t let my sister drown. I want to help but don’t know how, and every time I hold my goddaughters I want to cry, because I don’t know how to help their mama, and if I can’t help her and they don’t have a mother, I will never recover.
And I don’t have the energy or the time to fight the state and protect my sister from her demons and figure out what her husband who is also my brother needs and give my goddaughters the love they deserve and keep myself alive and worry about my other brothers every time they comes home with a new bruise and to worry that one day my boyfriend will be hurt on patrol in a way that he can’t survive and take care of a teenager who I adore who is very pregnant with bed rest and worry about MJ being shot by police at a protest or coming home with bruises from being attacked and to keep up with my work and maintain my dance and skating, and to try and fight my own demons and learn to actually be human. I come home every day to a broken family who I love and no one can seem to get along and feel like I’m all that’s left to hold it fast and try to help everyone, because everyone else is angry and hurting and righteous and they have every right to be, but I am all of those things and yet feel like I’m the only person trying to keep everyone okay, and my depression keeps getting worse even with therapy and meds and I can’t stop it anymore, it’s all I can do to keep myself from relapsing and I know people notice but it feels like they don’t and I have no idea why *crying by the time she finishes talking* *collapsing onto the floor by your feet and pulling her knees to her chest* *clearly emotionally exhausted now that she’s stopped masking*
Bruce? Can I vent to you real quick?
@moongirlwidow

"Are you sure you're going back to that place? It's so boring."
Loki's question makes you laugh softly, your hands busy with the last items in your suitcase. The spaceship you are on is traveling at high speed, the vastness of dark blue through the windows is somehow comforting. Still, you miss Earth immeasurably.
"I have work to do there." You retort to him, your eyes meeting in the reflection of the mirror. He is leaning against the doorframe, his arms crossed and a short smile on his face. At your reply, he raises an eyebrow.
"You have work here too." He argues, making you smile.
"Maybe I have a more important job there then."
"Or maybe it's not work." He comments and you feel your cheeks warm softly, which seems to be confirmation enough for him, who gives a chuckle as he moves closer. "I remember there was a girl."
You hum, finishing closing your bag and holding it in your hands as you turn to your uncle.
"Natalia is like a sister to me, Loki." You comment as you hang the suitcase on your back.
"So there is another one?" He deduces raising an eyebrow at you and making you laugh.
"Are you saying I wouldn't go back for a sister?"
"Nah, you're Odinson, of course, you would." He retorts, moving his hands to smooth the collar of your shirt. You laugh at the phrase.
"I am no such thing." You mutter, but Loki frowns, and you sigh before adding, "It's not like I was part of that family. We didn't even know who Hela was my mother until a few hours ago."
Loki smiles, finishing his collar. "You are part of this family, Y/N. As much as Thor and I are."
"Do you wish me to start calling you uncle?" You mock making him laugh.
"It's still weird, but I think I'll get used to it." He assures with a laugh. "Besides this, nephews trying to kill their uncles sounds like something pretty mythological."
You laugh. "In my defense, you were trying to destroy my planet."
"Water under the bridge, like they say back there, right?" He casually retorts, and you mumble, bypassing him to head toward the exit. Loki hesitates, and you raise an eyebrow in curiosity. "There is one thing I would like back. Before you left."
You sigh lightly and look down at the floor before returning your gaze to him. "I don't have anymore."
Loki doesn't seem to believe it much and crosses his hands behind his body. "Y/N...."
"I mean it." You assure more seriously, one of your hands smoothing the handle of your bag. "I saw it when you took it, and I just felt I should put an end to it at once. No more fighting over that damn cube. I made a choice not only for Asgard but for the earth as well."
Loki swallowed dryly, but after a moment nodded, his gaze going to the ground. You twitched your fingers. "Are you mad at me?" You asked, and he raised his eyes, smiling weakly.
"Surprisingly, I'm not." He confessed. "I understand. And it is in a way, a relief not to have that between me and my brother anymore." He says approaching again, and to your surprise extends his hand to you, a greeting you've seen him do with the God of Thunder. "Thank you, Y/N. Have a safe trip back."
You smile, entwining your arm with his. "I'll see you around, Uncle."
"Still weird." He jokes making you laugh before letting go.
Despite the distance, the magical portals were very useful. Heimdall gave you a hug goodbye before helping you back to Earth, and you sighed softly as you felt the atmosphere as soon as you stepped on the ground.
The Avengers Compound was silent as you made your walk across the grass to the entrance, but as soon as you were announced by the computer system, you saw through the windows two of your friends rising from their chairs to greet you.
You were just finishing opening the door when Natalia jumped at you, a tight hug that you returned with a giggle.
"Someone missed me." You scoffed though you reciprocated with the same intensity.
"And someone forgot how a phone works." She retorted in fake annoyance, letting you go next. You offered your best apologetic expression, but Nat was making room for Sam to hug you as well.
"Hey, Y/N, good to see you here." He greeted, and you nodded as you repeated the same.
Nat helped you with your bag, and you let your gaze wander around for a moment. "Where are the rest of the folks?"
"Clint is at home, and Tony and Steve have training." Natalia replied. "The twins are probably watching TV."
"No one working as usual." You joked making her and Sam laugh. "I brought presents. Friday, please announce that the coolest avenger has come home."
"They'll think it's Thor." Natalia scoffed as she placed your heavy suitcase on the living room table and you laughed as you moved to the communal kitchen in search of something to drink. Sam just laughed at the interaction.
With the confirmation of the IA, within minutes, the place was filling up. Steve and Tony came stumbling through one of the doors, both in workout clothes and grinning between them, a grin that widened when they recognized you in the kitchen. However, you can barely wave at the two of them before a blue figure appears in your field of vision, an arm being placed between your shoulders and almost causing you to knock over the soda at once.
"Jesus, Pietro!" You complained as you returned the glass to the countertop to greet the excited boy.
"You took your time coming back!" He complained hugging you with a laugh. "I missed you."
"I missed you too, sonic." You retort in the same tone, making Tony laugh at the nickname.
There are lots of hugs, jokes, and comments. But your smile is more hesitant when you meet a certain little witch entering the kitchen half-heartedly.
"Wanda." You greet her a little breathlessly, and she smiles, waving at you.
"Hey. Nice to have you back." She says, blushing over your intense gaze.
"Don't I get a hug?" You tease, and she smiles despite rolling her eyes, nodding before moving closer to wrap her arms around your neck. You both sigh softly as your bodies fit together, but the moment is broken as quickly as it began, because Pietro is speeding past, animatedly commenting on the trip, and you let go of his sister, offering her a wink before walking away into the living room.
There are gifts for everyone - you made sure to bring a little souvenir from all the places you've visited in the last year with Thor, mostly artifacts from the now-destroyed Asgard - and you let the Avengers pick out the ones they like best as you watch from the armchair.
"You look different." Pietro comments a long moment later when everyone has their gifts picked out, Tony and Steve have already gone to clean up from training, and Sam has gone to go over some reports in the conference room. You have to blink away, disguise that you were stealing glances with Wanda before you answer:
"I got a haircut." You retort, making him laugh.
"It's not that." He says, and you let out something that should be a laugh, but is almost a grumble. Natalia and Wanda start paying attention as well.
"A lot of things have happened." You answer vaguely, forcing a smile to reassure them. "It's nothing they need to worry about."
"Are you sure?" Pietro insists, and you smile truer to his concern.
"Yeah, I'm sure." You say. "Family thing."
Pietro frowns. "Have you found out anything? About your family, I say."
You sigh, propping your chin on your hand and your elbow on the couch support. You realized that there was no way this conversation could happen without you actually telling them what happened. So, in the most casual and relaxed tone, you could manage, you started to tell them about the last year. About Asgard, Thor and Loki, and especially Hela and her powers.
"[...] Anyway, it turned out that my parents weren't really my parents, and I'm some kind of prophecy child or something. Thor and Loki are my uncles, and I kind of had to kill my mom in a fight that destroyed my real home. Now, I inherited her powers but got to be an orphan again, and I don't recommend it." You finish, and look away from the shocked expressions of the other three, clearing your throat. "Like I said, it's nothing you guys need to worry about..."
"Y/N, shut up and come here." Natalia interrupts getting up to hold you tight. You giggle awkwardly, but stand up and accept the hug. Soon Wanda and Pietro are also wrapping their arms around you, and you feel your chest warm up. It's a very nice moment, but it's broken when Steve comes back with a confused expression.
"Sorry, am I interrupting...?"
The four of you laugh awkwardly, shaking your heads as you break the embrace. Natalia shakes her head. "Don't worry, Steve. Y/N just needs a little reassurance."
"Or maybe a little human contact, I think she's forgotten what that is." Pietro scoffs, getting a slap on the arm that makes him laugh.
Steve laughs, but soon his expression turns slightly hesitant. "Well, I know you just got here, but we kind of have an important mission on the way. If you want to get to work, your help would be welcome."
You smile, nodding. "Sure thing, Cap."
You tell him, putting your hands in your pockets. "But first, I need to have a talk with Vision." The Avengers look at you curiously, but you offer no more than a nod as you say "Don't be nosy."
Your conversation with Vision is about the Stone in his head. The machine actually didn't even seem surprised when you approached - you found him in one of the empty rooms, analyzing file patterns for Steve - and he smiled as you said it was good to have it back in the compound.
"You want to destroy it." He deduced as soon as you commented that you needed to talk about it, and you hesitated before sighing.
"I do not wish to harm you, Vis." You say seriously. "You are an Avenger after all, and Thor has entrusted the safety of the stone to you. But I have seen things in space. Promises of war, rumors of armies seeking this power more than anything. I wouldn't want Earth to become a target for that."
"I understand, Miss L/N." He says and gives a short chuckle "Should I call you Odinson now?"
You laugh in surprise, shaking your head. "Either one is fine I guess."
Vision smiles, looking out again. "I should say goodbye to everyone then." He declares and you frown, taking a step forward.
"No, Vision, there's no rush!" You assure him with a nervous laugh, "I'll talk to Tony first. You're a machine, right? No offense. Maybe Tony can find a new power source for you."
Vision looks at you with some surprise. "That's very considerate of you, Miss L/N."
With a short smile, you give him a pat on the shoulder. "We are a team, Vision. Come on, I brought gifts for everyone and you didn't get yours. Let's leave this serious talk for later."
–//–
Despite your casual approach to handling everything, things with the Avengers were getting strangely tense. You learned that in the last year Steve had been extremely dedicated to finding his lost friend, and the important mission on the way was related to this.
Lagos was supposed to be simple and discreet, but a name and it became a mess in half a second.
You were helping Pietro to get the civilians out of the fair when the bomb exploded. Wanda only had a second to react, the red magic saving the captain's life but raising the fire toward the hospital. You knew there was no way those people could survive without your help, and you knew you shouldn't have, but you raised your hands in the air anyway.
The explosion spread quickly, glass falling through the air. But no one was hurt. Your eyes were completely blackened, and your knees began to give way, but you held on to your magic. Pietro stood beside you, a confused expression between you and the mess floors up.
"What are you doing?" He asked, exchanging a look with Wanda a few feet away and Steve - who called for assistance over the communicator, wondering at the number of victims - but you only gave a breathless laugh.
"Move Pietro, get them out of there." You asked, and he hesitated.
"But it's on fire..."
"You won't get hurt!" You insisted feeling the pressure in your head increase. "Just go!"
He nodded without much certainty but sped off. As he began to bring the civilians in from the inside, all safe and shrouded in some kind of dark fog that cleared when they were safe, he understood what you had done. You waited for him to confirm that the floor was clear before lowering your hands, falling to your knees and out of breath, with immense nausea in the pit of your stomach.
Wanda was kneeling beside you in the same second, her hands on your shoulders. "Y/N, hey, are you okay?"
"Yeah, just a little tired." You mumble breathlessly, letting your face fall against her shoulder. "Everyone alright?"
Wanda lets out a tearful laugh, her fingers finding your hair as she holds you against her. "Thanks to you, they are."
You hum, feeling your body go weak, Wanda's scent suddenly very comforting. "I'm just going to close my eyes for a minute okay?"
She called to you a few times, soft slaps on your cheeks but you couldn't resist the darkness.
You dreamed about Hela again. Before, Asgard and all that happened, she was like a ghost in your head. Now that you knew who and what she was, and were carrying her powers, it was less frightening, though just as uncomfortable. She was looking at you with disappointment, not for your last fight, but for your choice to betray her and stand with Thor and Loki during Ragnarok.
"You will lose them." Said the powerful figure. "You will lose them all and when you are alone, you will search for the glory that only war could offer you."
You looked around, it looked like a battlefield. So many bodies all around, soaked in water and mud. Your gaze returned to her.
"Where are we?"
"You only destroyed one of them, dear." She says, her black nails finding your cheek. "But it is the soul stone that must be yours. You can't run away from your destiny forever."
Bodies began to rise around you, and you shuddered. Hela smiled at your despair, but as soon as the nails cut your face, you woke up in a jolt.
You were in the Avengers' infirmary and blinked wearily until you got used to the brightness.
Sam almost knocked over his coffee, but Pietro laughed, patting him on the back.
"I knew you were different!" Maximoff commented with an animated expression, and you gave a breathless giggle, coughing a little. He wasted no time in pouring you some water, but before you could drink it you retorted:
"You're not the Maximoff I wanted to see." Receiving a grimace in return. Sam watched you with confusion.
"Why am I the only one who seems slightly concerned about the fact that you have been unconscious for two days?" Falcon asked. You widened your eyes, finishing your water in one gulp.
"Only two days?" You exclaimed excitedly. "That's so cool! Looks like I beat my record, Pietro!"
The boy laughed, shaking his head, but Sam's confusion only increased. The twin, upon noticing, let out another laugh and grabbed your empty cup before starting to unbutton his blouse.
"Dude, what's going on....?" Sam started by taking a step back as Pietro began to undress, but the other only mouthed a "relax" and finished removing the garment. Then he pointed to the spread marks around his skin, deep scars from bullets.
"See those? I'm her record." Pietro clarifies pointing to the healed bruises. "Ultron shot me about two hundred times. Y/N was out for two weeks so I could be here today."
You nodded with a short smile, and Pietro began to put his clothes back on, while Sam looked between you in a mixture of surprise and disbelief.
"So, is your thing bringing back the dead or something?" You asked half unsure, and you sighed, working to disconnect the medical devices from you.
"Something like that." You muttered in response. "Where are the others?"
"Emergency meeting." Sam replied and Pietro finished the last button. "We came to check on you before we join."
"I woke up on time then." You retorted with a smile, stretching. "Give me five minutes to get changed."
"Steve said you don't have to participate if you're tired-" Pietro starts but you laugh, shaking your head.
"Don't worry, I won't hear a word I just want to say hi to your sister."
He grimaces, crossing his arms. "When are you going to stop flirting with her?"
"When she asks me out." You retort without losing your posture, working on your wardrobe. Pietro rolls his eyes, and Sam clears his throat, muttering something about giving you privacy before he leaves. The older Maximoff raises his chin in defiance.
"I wouldn't count on it." He says and you frown in confusion. He smiles. "You know the microwave likes her, don't you?"
You laugh incredulously. "Vision?"
"Mm-hmm." He agrees with a nod, moving to stand on his back because you have taken off your blouse. "And I think he's just waiting for the opportunity to call her out."
You bite the inside of your cheek thoughtfully, your hands busy with the change of clothes Natalia must have separated for you that were left on the armchair. Pietro laughs at your silence.
"I'm just warning you. Maybe you missed your shot."
"Or maybe you're just tormenting me for fun."
"It's definitely fun." He retorts with a laugh. "Just act soon before you end up in the friendzone forever."
You chuckle incredulously, now wearing an Avengers sweatshirt. "Oh, don't worry, I have no intention of being friends with your sister."
Pietro rolls his eyes, grimacing. "Gross." He complains before speeding off, and you chuckle lightly at the empty room, though you can feel a bad feeling on the edge of your stomach.
Wanda and Vision. What a ridiculous thing.
It upsets you enough that you don't even remember the dream about Hela, and you keep a scowl on your face the whole way to the conference room.
You interrupt the presentation of a man you don't know, dragging your feet inside and ignoring the stares at you as you swivel a chair to sit across from Wanda.
"Why weren't you there when I woke up? I wanted to see your pretty face." You ask with a smile, crossing your legs and enjoying the way Wanda's face turns wildly red, all the attention of the room on you both.
"I-I..."
"Y/N, we're in the middle-" Steve tries but you sigh loudly, easily disassembling the chair support to turn the furniture and lay your head against Wanda's lap.
"Do that thing I like with your fingers in my hair, pretty please?" you ask feeling Wanda giggle embarrassed, but her hands moving, one to your shoulder and the other to the back of your neck. Steve grumbles.
"General Ross, I am sorry for the interruption." Says the Captain, and you blink your eyes forward, only now becoming aware of the presentation that was going on in the room. "Y/N just got back from recovery."
"No problem, Captain Rogers." Retorted the other man with a false cordiality. You could feel the dishonesty in his aura, and Wanda's gentle caress of your hair was the only thing keeping you calm. "It's actually a good opportunity to welcome Miss L/N back to both Earth and the Avengers."
You offered him a fake smile, moving your hand to Wanda's on your shoulder to play with her fingers, feeling her sigh softly. Ross cleared his throat and resumed the presentation.
"Your brother is tormenting me" You warned in thought the girl behind you, and held back a sigh when her fingers scratched the back of your neck.
"Is he?" she retorted mentally. You nodded in your lap, and she asked, "What did he say?"
"Something so ridiculous I thought it was a joke." You retorted, blinking away from the presentation that you weren't absorbing any words. "He told me Vision likes you."
Her touch stopped. You frowned, thinking to complain, but Wanda shrugged. "Aren't you going to say that's ridiculous?" You insisted, but she let go of your hand and you felt your heart speed up. You were getting up to look at her, but your gaze noticed the presentation, quickly reading something about Lagos and you noticed they were looking at her.
"That's enough." Steve spoke and the presentation was interrupted. "No one was hurt, Ross, this approach was unnecessary."
"With all due respect, Captain, but there was considerable damage in terms of structure." Argued the mustachioed man. "Furthermore, without Miss L/N's skills, the outcome of the people in that building would have been very different. Considering Miss L/N's background, we can expect that she will not even be present on earth at all times. The variants of a situation where she cannot revive the wounded must be considered."
You ran your hand through your hair. "I'm sorry, what are you saying?" You ask half confused, having only caught half of the presentation. Before Ross can say, Pietro lets out an incredulous laugh.
"They're saying it's Wanda's fault the hospital blew up." He accused angrily, getting to his feet. "Which I think is utter bullshit!"
Ross held up his hands with a nervous laugh. "No one here is saying it's anyone's fault!" He tried to justify himself, but you blinked indignantly, picking up on all the things that were happening on the screen now. The news about the Avengers, the way they were being called Terrorists even if no deaths, the pressure for a response.
"I have brought diplomacy to everything that is happening, and I hope you can see that this is the best solution we have found." Continues the man as he pushes a white paper on the table toward Wanda.
You reach for it first, staring at the title Sokovia Accords in disbelief.
"Are they calling her a terrorist?" You ask indignantly as you watch the television. Ross sighs.
"It's an unfair term, but..."
"We were there for a chemical weapon." You retort getting up. "She grabbed the bomb from the fair, it was going to go off underneath and bring the building down on those people." You continue to reason, grabbing the item from the table and in a second, the book is flying and shattering the glass screen of the presentation. All the Avengers stand at once, and the Agent who came with Ross grabs his holster. You step forward, grabbing the General's collar and lifting him to the ground. Steve raises his hand so the Agent doesn't shoot.
"You don't come into my house and threaten my girl. Ever." You warn with darkened eyes. "Go away before I break your neck."
Ross pales like his own beard but swallows dryly. "You can't threaten an official-" He starts but you immobilize him, his face pressed against the broken television. Just one push and it's going to start cutting.
"Y/N, please, you're going to make things worse." It is Nat who says, stepping forward as the others hold their breath. There is a voice in your head, a whisper, begging you to push a little harder, but you sigh, and let go, giving Ross room to recover, his face red with fear and shame.
"This sort of behavior is unacceptable." He complains, but you're not even listening properly, your whole body vibrating with anger and energy. "I just won't arrest you right away, given the circumstances of your recovery, Miss L/N."
You ignore him, catching a few scraps of Steve's conversation trying to calm the tempers before the man leaves the room, your attention diverted to the Accords book - to which you use your magic to draw back into your hands and read the clauses.
When Steve approaches you again, furious at what has happened, you don't even flinch.
"Don't you ever do anything like that again!" He commands seriously with an impassive face. "You simply lost your head and threatened an officer!"
"You know a lot about losing your head, don't you, Rogers?" You retorted between teeth, your eyes glittering with anger as you pushed the accords against the captain's chest. "Don't forget who didn't see the damn bomb in the first place." You accuse surprising him, and Steve swallows dryly, picking up the item before it falls to the ground.
"We should probably talk, all together." Natasha declares to the room with some hesitation, looking between you, Steve, and the rest of the team, who quickly agree.
Your natural reaction is to walk over to Wanda but your heart breaks when you notice her shy and crestfallen posture, only to feel a new wave of irritation when Vision strokes her shoulder and sits down next to her. Pietro uses speed to take the other seat, giving you a knowing look and you bite back an annoyed grunt, deciding on the couch behind them.
The Avengers start talking for long minutes about clauses and laws that don't interest you - all your attention is on the shiny strands of hair that seem so soft in front of you, and you play with your fingers, resisting the urge to touch them.
"Y/N, you're not even listening! That's what I'm talking about!" Exclaims Tony suddenly, and you only blink away from your bubble because you heard your name. "We're not used to taking responsibility for our actions. She threatened an officer and is daydreaming in the middle of the meeting!"
You roll your eyes. "I'm all ears."
Tony sighs impatiently. "And what are we talking about all this time?"
"Boring stuff." Your answer makes Tony roll his eyes, but Nat, Wanda, and Pietro hold back a laugh.
"Y/N, take something seriously for once in your life, if possible." Insists the Iron Man, and you sigh loudly, sitting up.
"I'm half Asgardian, Tony." You declare. "Most of the clauses in the accords don't affect me, I can fly off-planet whenever I want. But from what little I read and know about laws, the agreements are breaking a few dozen constitutional walls here."
The Avengers look surprised, but as you stand up to get a drink, Vision gestures that he agrees with what you are saying.
"A quick read-through on the agreements confirms several irregularities." He says, and you smile, muttering something like 'I told you so' as you pour yourself some whiskey. "But this is only a draft, the first attempt at diplomacy. I imagine the petitioners will come up with new versions by our next meeting."
"And what does that mean in the long run?" Sam asks, getting a sigh from the robot.
"That a decision will need to be made." He says. "And that those who don't sign, will suffer consequences."
"Wow, I came back to a divorce." You sneer turning your drink around in one go. "I'll keep Wanda and the cars."
Tony rolled his eyes, but you were smiling because the younger witch blushed and looked away. Pietro and Nat laughed.
"We need to make a decision about this." Tony continued, but you were pouring him a drink, and handing him the glass.
"Vision is going to be our bargaining chip." You let everyone know surprisingly. "Ross wants something to say he's in charge, and I want to destroy that shiny stone. Find a new power source, and offer Vision as a gift of trust to the united nations. The Avenger with the power to overpower all the others in case of a confiability-breaking situation or something."
Your suggestions leave everyone speechless, but you don't much care and join Tony in another drink.
"That's frighteningly genius." He mutters, and you smile, shrugging.
"We're going to need you too, Mr.Billionaire." You say. "Your monetary influence is our biggest advantage here. The decisions and pressures you make represent the team. If you sign, and others don't, we are all treated like criminals."
Tony frowns. "I wouldn't let you guys be treated like that."
You laugh, patting him on the shoulder. "Of course not, Tony, you're a sweetheart." You say with a slight sneer in your voice that he doesn't catch. "Now use that brain of yours to find a solution for Vis. I'm going to need a car."
"For what?"
"I want to take Wanda on a date."
The room lets out loud grumbles mixed with laughter and impatient sighs, but you laugh, raising your hands in surrender.
"I'm just kidding, Jesus!" You say laughing, and meeting the other girl's embarrassed gaze, you give her a wink. "I can wait until things are settled." You mutter, and she smiles, but the moment is interrupted because Pietro is grunting loudly:
"Stop flirting with my sister!"
Nat rolls her eyes, gesturing between you. "Enough, out you three. Tony and Vis have work to do, and Y/N has to prepare an apology speech for today's scene."
Steve clears his throat, getting up even though his name was not mentioned by his widow. "I have to go." He says without looking at you, and you exchange a look with Nat, who decides to follow him.
The next few days go by very quickly for you. There are remediation meetings and training, but Tony is really making progress with Vision's story.
Your desire was to stay in the compound, stealing glances and touches while cooking or training with Wanda that made her blush, but after your little anger scene with General Ross, your presence was requested in Vienna, for the official meeting regarding the Sokovia Accords with the Avengers. Natasha made you wear a suit.
"I look ridiculous." You complained as you straightened your collar for the ninth time, and she laughed beside you, turning her body toward you.
"You look lovely." She contradicted by running her fingers along your shoulders. "Wanda said the same thing when you left."
You rolled your eyes with reddened cheeks, which made Nat smile. "How are things between you two?" She asked curiously, and you sighed.
"She's playing with me." You replied sullenly, and Nat laughed with a frown.
"Really?"
You hum like a child. "I flirt with her all the time, but she has never made a move, can you believe it? And Pietro tells me that microwave has some kind of weird interest and I'm stuck here instead of being with her right now."
Nat laughs, finding your pout adorable. "God, you've come back like a crybaby from space." She mocks affectionately, straightening your tie, "I don't think you're being very fair to her, Y/N. You were gone for a whole year, and Wanda is pretty reclusive, Vision is her closest friend in the compound, even to me she doesn't open up easily. Maybe she just thinks you flirt for fun."
"That's bullshit!" You defend yourself indignantly, and Nat gives you a warning look to tone it down when some officers pass you in the hallway and give you a surprising look for your speech. "Damn, she's a telepath, how can you not see that I'm completely crazy about her?"
Nat laughs. "First of all, gross." She jokes. "Second, I would try to talk to her. Like an adult, please. But for now, I need you to focus on your public apology, okay?"
You sigh, nodding. "Sure, boss."
You grumble, but Nat laughs, squeezing your cheek before leading the way into the room where the conference was to take place.
Many hands are shaken, many names you were not going to memorize, but then, another explosion.
You felt death before it happened. A speech is interrupted and then screams.
The scene was different to your eyes, a lake much like the one in your dream forming and replacing the destroyed conference room. You saw a fallen man and ran to him.
"Sir?" You called out to him in concern, your hands on his wounded chest. "Can you hear me?"
He gasped, his lost gaze meeting yours. "The time of my rest has come."
You shook your head, pressing the wound on his chest. "No, I can help you..."
He denied it, smiling at you. "It's time, child. I'm ready. " His hands found yours on his chest, giving a gentle squeeze that makes your heart race. He murmured something in a language you didn't know, and his eyes closed. You wanted to bring him back, but his soul was ready to leave, and you couldn't even feel him anymore.
Other sounds became louder, other victims, and you let him go to help others.
When you awoke again, you were in a medical ward. Pietro had a bandage placed on your head.
"I'm sorry I couldn't save the king." That was the first thing you muttered to him, but he shook his head, wiping away some worried tears and smiling at you.
"I'm just glad you saved yourself." He says, stroking your arm for a moment. You find his seriousness strange.
"What happened?"
He swallows dryly, his accent thick as he answered: "A bomb in a truck. One death confirmed, but over 70 people somehow miraculously safe."
You grunt, turning over on the bed. "It's smaller than Lagos."
"But it's still a lot." Pietro insists, helping you move on the bed. "Things are bad around here, Y/N. You've been out for a couple of days, not longer than last time but your vitals are crappy. Natasha said you should rest and I agree with her.”
You grimace at the request. "You guys talk like I'm starting the fights."
Pietro sighs, denying with his head. "It's not like that, but you're right." He says. "Your idea with Vision seemed to have been great, but things got tenser with the death of the King of Wakanda. In addition, they're saying that it was Steve's friend who planted the bomb, the Winter Soldier. Things are getting worse very quickly, and Natasha says that you should prioritize your health. I think the same thing."
"It's not like I can die." You grumble getting up, and Pietro does the same.
"You don't know that!" He retorts with emotion. "And honestly, I don't want to test the possibility."
"How sweet." You scoff, and grunt when he gives you a pinch.
"You get so annoying when you come back you know that?" he accuses upset, making you sigh in apology. Pietro is right, you always have episodes of anger, irritability, or aggression when you exceed the uses of your powers. Natasha is probably the only one accustomed because Shield would love to use this to clean up the mess, but the other Avengers are always worried or surprised by the change.
All you offer is a grumble, turning to leave while ignoring the boy's request.
The compound is strangely quiet. You had expected the team to be around, but apparently, more than half of them were in Berlin dealing with the consequences of the attack on the United Nations.
You took a long shower before joining the one person who never made your mood worse no matter what she did.
"You're awake." Wanda commented with a smile as soon as you entered the kitchen, where she was beginning to prepare to make dinner.
"And you weren't next to my bed. Again." You retort to tease her, enjoying the pink that appears on her cheeks. "I'm starting to think you don't like me that much."
Wanda smiled, shaking her head. "My brother seemed concerned enough for both of us. I thought it best to give him some alone time with you."
You grimaced in disgust at the insinuation, sitting down on the countertop as you looked at the girl. "How awful it would be if the wrong Maximoff was into me." Wanda let out a short laugh, hiding any further reaction as she looked down, moving some pans around. You licked your lips before speaking again. "Are you grounded too?"
She frowned, raising her eyes to you again. "What do you mean?"
Before you could answer, Pietro was speeding into the commode, a disconnected cell phone in his hands.
"We're not allowed to leave." He declares with clear annoyance in his voice. "Stark said something about avoiding another public incident, whatever that means, and the enhanced team members should stick around."
"Typical." You mutter with no surprise, leaning over to look at the ingredients that Wanda separates. The witch however lets out a grumble.
"That's not fair." She complains in her sharp accent, making you look at her intently. "We didn't do anything wrong. Y/N saved half the hostages. They are treating us like children."
"I can leave when I want." You retort casually. "Natasha is keeping me here because she thinks I'm getting sick, which is ridiculous. And you two are grounded for being the coolest in the team."
Pietro laughs, but Wanda frowns in concern. "What do you mean getting sick?" She asks taking a step toward you. "How are you feeling?" Her hand finds your cheeks, and you feel your skin warm, surprised at the sudden affection.
"God, your eyes are so pretty." You confess in a breathless sigh, causing Wanda to giggle embarrassedly and Pietro to roll his eyes.
"You're both ridiculous." He comments. "Since we can't go out, I'll be staying in my room playing video games. Meanwhile, get a room." He teases, speeding away and leaving you both alone. Wanda chuckles awkwardly, pulling away to continue dinner, and you bite back a smile as you watch her.
"What are we having for dinner?" You ask casually, resting your hands on the counter. Wanda sighs, checking the cabinets, and standing on tiptoe to look at the topmost drawers. The movement immediately draws your attention to her legs, and you bite back a sigh.
"What do you want?" she asks distractedly.
You.
Your thought is instant, and from the way she flinches and her cheeks blush hard, she has definitely listened. But you smile, not waiting for her to work up the courage to turn to you again as she adds, "Anything is fine."
Wanda nods softly, and you make no effort to disguise that you are watching her. She thinks she is doing a good job despite her trembling hands and the way she is blushing at the attention.
"You still haven't told me about space." She comments a moment later as she is chopping vegetables. You blink away from the curve of her cheeks, having been counting a few barely noticeable freckles for the past minutes while she cooked.
"What do you want to know?" You retort low, wishing to get back to counting. She smiled short.
"Did you have fun?" she asked without taking her eyes off the activity.
"Sounds cooler than it actually was." You replied, settling down on the countertop to hug one of your knees and rest your chin on it. "I have more fun when I'm with you."
Wanda feels her heart racing, for the thousandth time that afternoon. You were irritably good at that, leaving her speechless. She smiles shyly, not meeting your gaze.
"I have fun with you too, Y/N." She confesses while finishing with her vegetables. You however let out a soft sigh.
"It doesn't seem like much, you've been avoiding me." You accuse half annoyed, surprising her. She pushes the food into a pan and focuses all her attention on you.
"What are you talking about?" She questions. "I don't avoid you."
"You've been spending a lot of time with Vision." You retort narrowing your eyes to her. She makes an amused grimace.
"He's my friend."
"So you agree? That you're avoiding me to be with him?" You accuse back, and Wanda gives an incredulous laugh, shaking her head.
"No, I haven't done anything like that." She defends herself. "You just got back, and you've been busy while Vision hasn't. And you're my friend too, I wouldn't avoid you."
It's your turn to laugh, raising an eyebrow at her.
"I'm not your friend, Wanda."
She is taken by surprise, getting it the wrong way, or at least not the way you want her to. Swallowing dryly, she puts more distance between the two of you as she goes back to cooking.
"I know you've been away for a while, and we don't really know each other that well, but I thought..."
You cut her off with a wave of your hand, stepping down from the countertop and advancing against her until Wanda has her body pressed between the wood and yours, her breath hitched by the sudden closeness.
"I guess I didn't make my intentions clear enough." You whisper, placing your hands on either side of the marble, consequently narrowing the space between you even further. Wanda's eyes widen, and she swallows dryly, trying to keep her gaze on yours. "I don't want to be just a friend."
Wanda lets a shaky breath escape, finding it hard not to break the distance. "Y/N..."
"I want to kiss you." You confessed breathlessly, leaning in until your mouth was at the height of her neck, the brush of your lips on her skin making her shudder and close her eyes tightly. "And I wanna worship every inch of your body." You continued, moving one of your hands off the countertop and onto her waist, and down to the edge of her skirt, playing with the fabric between your fingers. Your mouth found the height of her ear, a soft sigh that made Wanda's legs go wobbly. "And I wanna know how you taste." You confessed as your fingers strode up to her thigh, moving dangerously up the inside until Wanda's hands gripped your waist for support, the muscles instinctively quivering and unbalancing her, getting a wicked chuckle from you. "But first, let's have dinner together." You warned, pulling away at once with a satisfied smile.
Wanda's face was very warm, and her head was down, trying to normalize her breathing and heartbeat.
You moved relaxedly to continue the food preparation as if nothing had happened while Wanda could barely focus on her own thoughts, the ghost of the feeling of your hands warming her body entirely.
"Don't play games with me." She asks in a whisper, meeting your eyes again. Your expression is mixed with surprise and confusion, your hands busy washing the rice but your head turned toward her. Wanda takes a deep breath to gather courage but clenches her hands together as she speaks. "I don't want to be a flirt, Y/N. I'm not good with this, feelings I guess. If you care about me, I need you to tell me."
In no hurry, you turned off the water faucet and dried your hands on the towel. Then you turned to Wanda and kissed her so hard that she stumbled backward, her back hitting the refrigerator. She gasped, taken by surprise, but kissed back the next moment, melting against you. Your hands moved to her waist, and then her thighs, lifting her easily to sit her on the countertop as her hands closed behind your neck. She scratched the back of your neck, kissing you back intently until your head was spinning, but you had to tell her how you felt.
Breaking the kiss between gasping breaths, you slowed down until you met the fully dilated pupils and swollen lips of the girl in front of you.
"You are my favorite person in the entire universe, Wanda Maximoff." You confess to her sweetly, your hands on her thighs. "I find you fascinating and funny, and spectacularly brilliant. I wish I had asked you out the moment I laid eyes on you, but it wouldn't have been appropriate to do that in the middle of a fight." You continue, getting an affected chuckle from the other that makes you smile as well. "I wouldn't have gone anywhere if I knew my trip would make you question my feelings about you. Because I am completely in love with you, and you should know that."
Wanda's eyes fill with tears, but she smiles with relief, nodding as she moves her hands to her cheeks. "I know now." She says, breaking the distance to kiss you softly. Before you can increase, she breaks away, giving a gentle tug on your bottom lip that makes you grunt with dark eyes. "I'm in love with you too, in case it wasn't obvious."
" Hmm, it wasn't." You retort amusedly, scratching your way under her skirt, and smiling at the way she panted. "I was beginning to think you liked the piece of tin back."
Wanda has trouble keeping her eyes open, but retorts, "I don't see him that way."
You hum in approval, your fingers meeting the sides of her panties under her skirt, and playing with the fabric as your mouth kisses her neck softly, the gentle pressure being more than necessary for her to let out a sound much like a whimper that sends a strong wave of heat to her center. "God, those sounds you make darling..." You pant against her neck, leaning your face to calm your breathing.
She moves her hands to pull your face back to hers, kissing you with intensity and you sigh as you match, letting your arousal fill your senses. Wanda entwines her legs around your waist, pulling your body against hers and the new friction makes you let out gasping sighs of pleasure against each other's mouths, smiling into the kiss that seems to get more intense by the second.
When your hands shift to move her panties, however, a loud noise attracts your attention, and the kiss and the moment is broken immediately by the presence of two horrified men.
"In the middle of the kitchen." Clint declares with a mixed expression of shock and weariness, while Pietro seems torn between starting a fight or digging a hole in the ground. Wanda mumbles in embarrassment, hiding her face in her collarbone as your hands move out of her skirt, and you lick your lips trying to push the wave of arousal away.
"Forget what I said Clint. Tell the captain we can't help because I'm going to kill Y/N." Pietro then declares, and you have to let go of his sister to escape his attempts to hit one of the pots on your head.
Clint sighs impatiently. "We don't have time for this." He complains about the scene, and you cover your face to defend yourself from a blow that never comes because Wanda uses magic to keep her brother away from you, an easy laugh on her face.
"Whatever this is, work it out later. Steve needs us." Clint says seriously. You sigh.
"I'll sit in the front seat." It is your final statement.
–//–
You're not sure how the fight ended, but you know that the pressure on your head can't be good.
This medical area is definitely fancier than any place you've ever been through.
And this time, Wanda is at your bedside.
"Is that grumpy old man okay?" Your question comes out hoarse and tired and makes Wanda jump out of her chair. She has her hands on your face at the same second, but she smiles.
"God, you are awake." She gasps, resting her forehead against yours. You laugh half-heartedly.
"How long?"
"Too long." It is not Wanda who answers, but a mechanical voice you know well. Vision is wearing a ceremonial outfit, but what attracts your attention is the lack of the stone on his head. You frown, but Wanda pushes your shoulders back when you make mention of getting up. "You have to rest, Y/N. The fusion must be more painful now that you're awake."
"What are you talking about?" You ask confused, but feel a pang of fatigue hit you as soon as you make the slightest mention of getting up again. Wanda strokes your hair.
Vision sighs almost ashamed. "The conflict was worse than expected. The changes in my main software for the Sokovia agreements ended up giving our opponents authority on my remote functions." Said the robot, and you sighed impatiently.
"English, please, Vision."
He hesitated, and Wanda replied, "Ross had control during the fight, Y/N. Because of the consents. When you refused to cooperate, Vision shot you."
"I remember that." You retorted. "But I saved Rhodes, didn't I?"
Wanda sighs, nodding. "At a very high cost, dekta." She says moving her hand to your cheek. "Your powers were drained because of the injury, and you still pushed a little harder to make sure James was okay. You were out for almost three weeks."
You let out an exclamation. "Damn, I missed my score." You murmur casually but are sorry when Wanda whines.
"Please stop joking about it." She almost begs, her face reddening. "I almost... I almost lost you."
You swallow dryly, moving your hands to interlace with hers. "Oh, Wanda, I'm so sorry." You say feeling very bad all of a sudden. "I'm not going anywhere, I promise, okay?"
She sniffles, shaking her head, not seeming to believe much. You sigh, squeezing your fingers together. Vision clears his throat.
"Your powers have changed during your recovery, Miss L/N." Declared the machine as you approach. "When we brought you here, a kind of magical aura was wrapped around you. It claimed the stone in my head." He counters gesturing to his own forehead. "It removed it before any of us could react, and it came to you. It's there now, somehow it was absorbed into your body. The scientists in Wakanda were able to reconnect me while you're asleep."
"That's a lot of information." You mutter blinking in confusion, and Vision smiles in understanding.
"Rest then." He says placing a hand on your shoulder. "You will have time to absorb it all."
He nods in farewell and leaves the premises. Wanda wipes her face, but when she makes mention of doing the same, you hold her hand.
"Stay here with me." You ask, and she looks at you with a frown.
"You're not even sorry." She suddenly accuses, and you blink in confusion.
"For what?"
She lets out an incredulous laugh, releasing your hand. "Do you realize how worried or scared I was? You weren't breathing, Y/N! I just-" she choked, shaking her head and trying to stop crying. "I can't do this."
You forced yourself to sit up, ignoring the physical pain to question her, "What are you saying, Wanda? You said you cared about me."
She looks at you with indignation. "I do care!"
"Then what's the problem?"
"This is the problem!" She retorts gesturing. "You being irresponsible and reckless is the problem! Me being in love with you is the problem! I can't do this, Y/N. I can't breathe when I think about the possibility of losing you, you see? And you clearly have no problem making sure that doesn't happen. So, no, I can't do it, because I'm not going to spend my life holding my breath every time you're working."
You blink in confusion, speechless for a moment. "Wait, are you breaking up with me? I haven't even asked you out yet."
Wanda stands up irritated, and you grunt in pain asking her to wait. "You can't take anything seriously, can you?" She accuses hurtfully, and you sigh.
"I take you seriously."
"That's not true." She retorts with tears in her eyes. "You say nice words, but your actions are selfish. I want you back when you go on a mission, Y/N. Do you understand what I'm saying?"
You nod, running your hand through your hair. "If you want to be with me, why are you trying to finish what we didn't even start, witchy?"
Wanda sighs. "I'm terrified." She confesses then, twisting her fingers together. "Watching you these last few weeks has been too much. Part of me still thinks I'm hallucinating that you're awake."
You offer a small smile, extending your hand for her to approach. "Come see how real I am."
Wanda sighs deeply, but moves closer, until she lies on the stretcher with you and hugs your body, relaxing as she feels your arms around her.
You stroke her hair, enjoying the warmth. "If I promise to be careful, will you take me to a date?"
Wanda laughs softly against your collarbone. "Why not the other way around?"
"I've never been on one." You confess letting your fingers trawl through the brown strands. "Growing up as a Shield pet doesn't exactly give you many opportunities for that sort of thing, you know? I'd like to go on a date with the girl I like."
Wanda hums, pressing her body more tightly against yours. "I understand." She murmurs into your skin. "But you're the one who owes me dinner, dorogaya."
You chuckle softly, feeling your eyes heavy. "We can have a romantic dinner in Paris, like in the movies. And then we'd make love all night under the stars."
Wanda lets out something like an embarrassing grumble, sinking her face against you and making you laugh softly.
"Just recover first." She murmurs, and you nod softly, finding the rhythm of gentle strokes in her hair that makes her sigh contentedly.
"I'll find a way to apologize for the scare, sweetheart." You assure her, moving your face to kiss her forehead. "And I promise I won't do it again."
Wanda swallows dryly. "Thank you."
“Don’t mention, little witch.”

Kate Bishop x Reader! Maximoff. Reader was an experiment with Wanda and Pietro and she has the power to manipulate elements, but reader didn't escape with them when the Avengers attack a Hydra base they discover you're alive.
a/n: hi! I’m sorry this is so late but i tried my best! Thanks for the request! warning(s): hydra; timeline issues; i don’t really know how good i can write the maximoff siblings so I apologize if anyone is ooc; use of google translate, scandalous i know word count: 1.3k tag list: @coolbeans32 pairing(s): Kate bishop x fem!Maximoff!reader; wanda x sister!reader; pietro x sister!reader (even though he’s, uh, ded) ( A/N: just so everyone knows i write, or at least do my best, to represent Wanda and Pietro as Romani Jewish as that is their ethnicity in the comics, so for this prompt, I’m sorry, but i made it to where Y/N was taken by hydra bc of her power, still keeping the discovery of her being alive though. Idk how it works with age of ultron but in this AU Wanda and Pietro never joined hydra. I’m sorry if this is disappointing to anyone but this is important to me.)
Coming Home
Nothing made sense anymore. Not after the long nights spent in a cage, only ever leaving so the scientists could run tests. You didn’t know how long it had been. Day, months, years, you had no clue. Time faded into irrelevance with each passing second.
You sat in the corner of your cell, your hand pressed flat against the metal floor, willing it to bend. As per usual, you were expecting nothing to happen. But today, the walls shook. You shot upward, standing on your feet in an instant. After a few seconds, you realized you weren't the cause of the shaking. Someone was attacking the base.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
With every blast of power she sent at the walls, Wanda couldn't shake the feeling gripping at her gut. Like something was going to happen, something important. She landed on the ground, her mind searching out, reaching for someone she knew couldn't possibly be there. The sound of repulsor blasts startled her out of concentration.
"Hey Red you good?" Tony asked, stepping over the fallen Hydra agent he had blasted. Wanda nodded, not convincingly.
"There's a heat signature a few halls down. I sent the small hawk to go check it out but, I thought you should know."
Wanda scrunched her eyebrows, confused. Without elaboration, Tony flew off into the air to fight the war drones that were causing havoc on the other side of the base. Wanda shook her head at Iron Man’s antics but made her way to the location Tony had pinged her a second after he left.
—————————————————————————————————
Your prison walls were crumbling as you punched at the force field keeping you caged in. The down side of your powers. You screamed in frustration and fear as other tremor went through the hall, threatening the foundations. Taking a step back, you ran your fingers through your tangled hair, tears forming in your eyes. But before they could fall, a voice spoke out.
“Hey, do you need help? Wait, that was dumb, sorry, lemme just-”
You turned towards the voice, where a girl about your age stood, a purple archers suit standing out against the grey walls of your prison. She cocked an arrow and fear shot through your spine. Was she about to shoot you? Is this how you die? The archer must’ve seen the conflict in your eyes because she was quick to explain.
“Oh no, no, no! Um, this arrow has a negative electric charge which should cancel out the positive charges running through the field.”
She continued after you stared at her, confused.
“It’s going to take the field down. I’m here to help!” She straightened her back at the last part, attempting to make herself look heroic. She took a step forward, into a stream of light, and you could properly see her. Your eyes widened when you saw the concentration on her face, your heart skipping a beat. Internally, you scolded yourself.
Y/N, you will not develop a crush on the first girl you see!
After the archer shot her arrow, eliminating your containment, she did a little victory dance and you found the warning you gave yourself fading away.
Hesitantly, you stepped out of your cell, taking a deep breath once you felt the call of the earth and the wind. Her arrow must’ve knocked out the power dampeners around your cell. She held out a hand.
“I’m Kate Bishop,” she smiled at you and you felt warmth gather on your cheeks. You took a step forward but stumbled over debris, causing her to catch you.
“Y/N,” you said, stuttering out your name, “Y/N Maximoff.”
Kate’s eyebrows rose in recognition, a blush on her cheeks as well. A few moments passed, silence stretching between you. After the base shook again, Kate snapped out of it, wrapping an arm around your waist, pulling you closer to her. Now you were very flustered.
You watched as she shot an arrow above you, into a hole in the ceiling.
“The exits on this floor caved in, this is the only way out.” With that, you felt yourself lifting in the air. Yelping, you wrapped your arms around Kates neck, the young archers eyes widening as a blush erupted on her cheeks.
Once you were on the next level, you realized how close you were to Kate, giggling awkwardly as you scooted away from her. You were about to thank the archer when a voice spoke out.
“Y/N?” The voice was shaky with fear but you would recognize it anywhere. Spinning around, you were met with the sight of your sister, hovering, her dark brown hair forming a halo around her. You felt her magic feel around your mind, not intrusive, but checking to see if this wasn’t a trick. With a cry, she lowered to the ground and ran to you, wrapping her arms around you. You returned the hug, tears streaming down your face.
“oh moja sestro,” Wanda cried over and over, leaning back to look at you. Her eyes hardened once she saw your state, bruises covering your body.
“I’m going to kill them.” She growled out, not noticing Kate awkwardly standing behind you, taking great interest in the floor. You shook your head, something dark forming in your mind.
“Don’t take that honor from me.”
Wanda chuckled a bit before hesitantly letting you go, noticing Kate.
Kate waved before heading off to where the rest of the team was. Wanda raised an eyebrow before turning towards you, her eyes widening playfully when she saw you watching Kate leave, a blush staining your cheeks. She bumped your shoulder with hers, making you glare at her.
“ućuti.” You mumbled, walking away as Wanda laughed.
Once you were outside the base, you saw Kate and the Avengers all lined up, waiting for you. Wanda walked out behind you.
“Well then, let’s send these fascists to hell.” Tony Stark said, raising his arm, where a missile would fly out to destroy the place you were imprisoned in for years. While you were still getting over the fact the Iron Man was talking to you and the fact you were standing with the Avengers, you processed what he said.
“Wait!” You called out, making the genius pause, opening his faceplate.
“Do you not want me to? ‘Cause I won’t. Your sister scares me.” He muttered the last part, making you laugh a little. You shook your head.
“I didn’t say that.”
Captain America sent you a confused look, practically scratching his head.
You faced the base, closing your eyes in concentration. With a roar, the earth below you came alive, turning rocks into mud with the amount of force you were sending out. In a matter of seconds, the base was completely destroyed. You sent a gust of wind to keep the dust and debris from getting in your eyes. Finally, you called on water from the ground to rise. Soon, where the Hydra base once stood, was a glistening clear lake, it’s water reflecting the sun peacefully.
“Okay, that was both terrifying and awesome at the same time. I’mma make you a suit.” Tony seemed to talk to himself before speaking to the group.
“Alright, back to the ship.”
As you walked with the group, Kate totally subtle, migrated over to you.
“So…elemental control huh?”
You laughed at her awkwardness, playfully bumping her shoulder. You nodded.
“So…archery huh?”
Kate laughed at your response, brushing hair behind her ear. You both talked and laughed on the way back to the jet, your mutual crushes growing.
Wanda trailed behind you, along with Natasha. The two shared a look before smiling.
She was worried about you, of course she was, you were captured, probably tortured for years, but looking at the scene in front of her, watching you and Kate flirt, she knew you would be okay.
a/n: thank you for reading! I’m sorry if this is a let down but i am up to a second part of this if anyone is interested!! (I probably will write one bc i want to dive into the sisterly dynamic between Wanda and Y/N and the romantic relationship between Y/N and Kate) have a great day/night!!

Warnings: none
░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░
You met him on a mission,
A mission where he tried to take out your partner aka Clint
"You didn't see that comin-"
And now he's being choked out by some buff chick suddenly.
Note to self: stop being cocky
He's thrown against a tree and groaning
So you both didnt meet on sweet terms at first...
He's impressed by you, and he's even more impressed that he can't find you after you basically manhandled him.
Do you have superspeed? No. No nothing like that
You're just that fricken good.
But when you're face to face with god its on
How you keep up with his superspeed with forever be a mystery to him.
The urge to just. MHM smash your face in but also kiss you is strong for him.
So imagine how flirty he tried to be when he sees you at Stark Industries
Not to mention you give Tony a hard time and he loves it
Remember he falls down that glass floor? Yeah well, he got cut.
So you're the one to fix him up, you know being the field medic as stuff.
"Had anyone ever told you how pretty you are, you know? up close"
"My dad'll kill you if he hears you saying that."
"I'll take that risk."
Well shit he hooked you with that one sentence
Saving each other on the battlefield for real.
back to back, fighting
Pietro getting injured badly and you carrying him on your back to safety
"I am gonna die doc- Shit-"
"No, but bullets out of your stomach now."
Luckily you got him back safe and sound.
And everyone's alive, yay
"Let me take you on a date for keepin' me alive."
You could only laugh, sewing up the rest of the cuts on the Quinjet.
You took him up on that offer after he heals.
He cooked you dinner, some soup from Sokovia
"You like it?"
"Yeah. It's good soup."
You thought it was a pretty fun date; even if it was just you two eating soup on top of Stark building.
You both just started talking about whatever, what you guys like; hobbies and such, and family.
He asked about your dad, and you only shook your head, "My dad, you know it's complicated...I don't see him as much as I like to."
Pietro only nodded, "Family is never easy."
It was a good date, probably the best one you'd ever had, simple and sweet.
You told him you had to go, but you kept sitting there, you both smiling at one another.
"I'm gonna kiss you now" you smile
its the best kiss ever
Dating is great with you guys, you're for sure everyone teases you.
Especially Tony
You'd guys went everywhere together: he was excited to go see things in new york with you
He loves pizza, especially in hole-in-the-wall places.
He likes hole-in-the-wall places in general, which seem cozier and more romantic.
And if you're guys on seperate missions you better be sure it feels lonely all the sudden.
Steve's kinda stepped into the dad roll for you: he's always sweet and ask how you're doing and asking how you and Pietro are doing.
He even had a father daughter possible son in law dinner with you and pietro,
You both takes alot of naps together.
You guys sleep together in general,
Yes you're the big spoon, he likes when you rub your fingers through his hair
Long kisses after missions where you havent seen him for so long are a must
You love his accent, especially after not hearing it for so long.
"You okay?" Y/n asked him, holding his face,
"Im fine. I'm okay." Pietro nodded, he holding her her wrist comforting, theres a cut across his temple and a forming bruise on his cheek, another cut across his nose.
Y/n hugs him, she was so worried, he can only hug back, kissing her head in response.
You'll try and stay in bed with him the whole day he's recovering.
Getting him anything he needs, changing any bandages.
When you're injured he has a hard time sleeping, he'd hate to lose you in any way shape, or form.
When you're both injured you just knock out together.
Is Stark having a fancy party?
You're matching, you have to, no comment: either you guys have matching schemes, or you have matching ties, maybe just matching rings
He can get jealous, especially of Guys, especially the ones who look at you for a long ass time and then come over and you entertain them
You only ever do it to be nice at first, you know: "Hi how are you" type of stuff
Pietro no matter what comes up behind you kiss your shoulder he'll ask you if everything alright
The guy usually backs off as Pietro introduces himself as an Avenger
If they don't- well, Pietro usually rushes and suddenly there's a fresh drink in your hand and a bowl of candy at the speed of light, "My love."
Now they're really running. Hah...running
At parties he loves dancing with you, he'll take it slow just for you
As said: he may run fast, but loves slow dancing with you like an old married couple.
It's not even the waltz or ballroom, or any of those slow dances: it's just rocking back and forth, going in a circle
He loves kissing you when you slow dance, he's really just so in love with you
and he looks at you that way in small moments, you just being you, makes him happy seeing you smile.

Take a chance on me // Pietro Maximoff x f! reader
Genre: Fluff with tiniest angst
Summary: After saving Pietro with your powers during the battle of Sokovia, he starts flirting around. Ruining her date with love confession doesn't seem like the right thing, right? Or does it?
Warnings: Cursing, possible grammatic mistakes?
Word count: 4k (Again)
A/N: I'm so sorry for posting this so late, but I got distracted by watching Tangled so it took me way longer than it should've oops. Anyways, I hope you enjoy this. Credit for the idea to my lovely bestie @speedysimp
Being the baby of the Avengers hasn't been the easiest. Everyone loves to be so overprotective over you as if you can't protect yourself. Sure, it's nice to be taken care of and knowing the others have your back if needed, but sometimes they act way overprotective. When in reality, there's a really low chance of you getting hurt and not being able to recover. You're basically their guardian angel with your healing powers along with empathy and emotional manipulation. So when they went on a mission to find Loki's scepter they were really close to not letting you come with, no matter the fact that you're full on adult.
It was kind of cold in the woods near where it was assumed Loki's scepter was.
Standing close to Natasha, you kept getting these weird emotions rage, anger. Which was confusing because it wasn't from anyone on the team, but you guys were the only ones there besides that shooting thing. Until someone knocked Clint down. '' What? You didn't see that coming? '' the stranger said as he looked down at Clint and dissapeared in a second. Quickly you rushed to his side, making sure he's alright. At the same time, something knocked Steve down as well. Things only escalated from there. Another stranger showed up, but it was a female this time, she manipulated Tony's mind. A couple of days later, you ran into them again. She decided to try manipulating Bruce's mind, so you decided to play with both of the twins emotions. Choosing the strongest emotion that both of them ever felt. Grief and sadness. She screamed in pain while he fell on his knees, craddling his head in his arms. '' Wanna play some more games? Game on, bitch. '' You kept pushing and enhancing those emotions until you felt exhausted. The man, who if you rememeber correctly is called Pietro looked at you in shock for a second, before grabbing his twin sister who was still feeling those emotions and took off. Pro tip, you never want to piss of an empath and a girl who can control emotions. The next day you were on the train, fighting Ultron's babies basically, until those two showed up again, and for some reason started fighting with the team and not against the team. When the train was succesfully slowed down and stopped, along with Captain, you approached the twins. You wanted to make Wanda if you remember correctly doesn't attempt anything again. '' I just need to take a minute. '' Pietro said as we came close to them. '' I'm very tempted not to give you it.. '' Steve said as you only smirked. '' The cradle. Did you get it?'' Wanda asked. '' Stark will take care over it. '' she looked at Steve in shock and almost betrayal as she said '' No he won't. '' Pietro only sighed as he was catching up with his breath. '' You good to go back Cap?'' you spoke for the first time. Steve only nodded and with that you went back. Unfortunately, the twins came back with you guys to the tower. Of course there was some tension between Clint, Bruce and the twins. They didn't trust them at all. Not that you trusted them any less. A minute later, Pietro fell through the floor and Wanda was being held by Bruce. '' Bruce let her go. She won't do any more harm as long as I can help it. You being angry will only awaken the big guy and we don't need him right now, as much as I appreciate him. '' you gently approached them as Bruce let her go. Making sure she was alright, you peeked through the hole that Pietro fell through checking if he's alive. Clint was there looking as if he's about to fight Pietro. '' Clint get up here and leave him alone. '' Was all you said. A few minutes later, Vision has joined you and everyone was making a plan how to take Ultron down. After the plan was created, everyone went to change into their gear outfits. ( your outfit: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/598767712959263146/ )
Arriving in Sokovia, just like in the plan, the twins and you began escorting the civilians out of the city. As people were not wanting to cooperate, Pietro used a bit of agressivnes and used his powers to escort them as much as possible while Wanda used mind control and you used emotional manipulation to get them out of the city. While the three of you were escorting people out, Natasha was kiddnaped by Ultron. The battle was slowly begining. Ultron's babies started attacking the civilans. Along with Wanda you were aiding the people, healing the ones who needed to be healed while Hawkeye bought us time by destroying the drones with his arrows. One of the drones landed and fired at the people. Wanda tried to help by creating the shield and repeling the blasts, but the shield dissipated from the force of the blasts and knocked her to the ground. You rushed to her side, helping her recover and get up. Everyone was soon fighting the drones, Pietro using his superspeed to destroy as many as possible in a little time, while Vision fought with Ultron. Everything only went downhill from there. By the time Thor reached the boosters of the Doomsday trigger, it was too late as the trigger was already activated. Massive portion of Sokovia began to lift off the ground, as the team only stood, nothing to be done. Ultron decided to claim his victory, saying how the Earth would crack from the weight of our team's failures, that there's nothing to stop him. Tony went off to rescue a family from collapsing apartment as Steve ordered everyone to destroy Ultron's babies, giving us a speech about how if we were to get harmed, to harm our opponent in return and if we get killed to walk it off or for them to get to you.
Wanda, Clint and you rescued civilans while fighting off the drones. Clint soon grabbed both Wanda and me to take cover inside some house. Wanda began panicking and feeling guilty about joining Ultron and allowing this to happen. Calming her slightly down, as Clint told her about how now is not the time to panic and what's done is done. There's nothing to be said more. After that, he went back to fighting Ultron's babies. Seconds after that, Pietro joined us and carried us both to the chruch. '' You two good? '' he asked both you and Wanda nodded. '' Yeah. Go get people on the boat. '' Wanda told him as she fought the sentries. '' I'm not going to leave you. '' Pietro said. '' Listen to her, she can handle this and I'm here as well. Be useful some more and get everyone on the boats. '' Wanda smirked. '' You can come back for me when you get everyone else. Not before. Do you understand? '' Pietro hummed '' You know I'm 12 minutes older than you? '' Wanda laughed. '' Go. '' and with that he was gone. The real fight was beginning. You stayed by Wanda's side the entire time because of your similar powers. Soon the rest of the Avengers were by your side, and everyone was fighting sentries (aka ultron's babies) as Thor distracted Ultron so that Vision could whack him away with Mjolinir before returning it to Thor. As Thor let everyone know the drones were coming back for the core to activate it, Ultron showed up, confronting us and asking how will we stop him. Tony's only response was '' Together. '' as he finished the sentence, the drones started attacking us. Everyone was using their powers, fighting the drones attempting to come closer. Ultron was pissed and started attacking himself, Vision being his first target. Vision blasted him off with energy coming from the mind stone as Tony and Thor joined Vision blasting Ultron with lightning bolts and repulsor beams. His shell slowly melting away. Weakened and damaged, Hulk punched Ultron away. The drones started to escape but Tony ordered everyone to stop them and to destroy them.
Captain ordered everyone to retreat to the boats, however you along with Wanda volunteered to stay behind and guard doomsday trigger. Unbeknownst to us, damaged Ultron made his way to the Quinjet. Clint left the boat in order to rescue a Sokovian woman's brother, but soon realized he was in the line of fire as the bullets from the Quinjet were racing towards him. As you sensed both Clint's and the boy's fear and heared the firing, you rushed towards the sound wanting to help if anyone was hurt. But right before the killing blow was struck, Pietro saved Clint and the boy as he sped past them, taking the bullets instead, seconds before you arrived. He was basically dying in front of your eyes. Wanda's scream could be heard as her powers went wild, feeling the loss of her brother. Quickly shaking off the shock, you rushed to his side, using your healing powers to get the bullets out. '' You fucking idiot, you just had to be saviour and take the bullets. Because why not save Clint and the boy by carrying them away. '' tears were rushing down your cheeks. After the bullets were all taken out of him, you did your best to heal his bullet wounds. As you did everything your powers were capable of, you checked his pulse. It was faint but it was there. As minutes passed, the pulse was better and soon a groan left his lips and a thankful tears again left your eyes, as you rested your head next on his chest. While you were saving Pietro, Clint took the boy to the boat, while Wanda went to find Ultron. '' Am I in heaven? '' Pietro asked. No matter what he did before, he was making up for his mistakes like his sister. He didn't deserve to die. '' No but I'm sure once your sister finds out you're alive, you will experience hell. '' You got up and wiped your tears away. Gently you brought Pietro up, putting one of his arms around your neck while you rested yours around his waist and slowly made your way to the boat, minutes before Thor's mjolnir destroyed the slab of Sokovia. He still had to go to Helen to make sure everything was as much as possible healed up and he had to rest.
- A month later after Sokovia's battle –
It's definitely safe to say Pietro is as good as new. You did amazing job at healing him so only thing he needed to was rest for a couple of weeks. How you know he's basically good as new? Well besides the fact that he's been constantly training along with the rest of the team, he's been flirting with every single woman who gave him even slightest of attention, besides Wanda of course. Natasha is one of the exceptions because you're pretty sure he's intimidated by her. But the rest of the interns or the new shield agents who come over to train are no issue for him to turn on his charm and flirt. It annoyed you so much, because at first he only flirted with you and you thought he was into you, so you developed tiny bit of crush on him. But turns out you were just first of many women, therefore you're pretty much pissed at him and everytime he pisses you off, temptation to use your powers on him keep creeping up on you.
Remembering that you were the one who saved him and seeing him now sometimes makes you wonder if it was worth it. Wanda's reaction was worth it though. She's your aboslute best friend right now and you're so grateful for her.
Currently you were in the kitchen making yourself a coffee, when the devil himself ran in. '' Hello frumoasa. '' he winked as he leaned on the kitchen island. Rolling your eyes, you gave him a small wave of acknowledgement. '' Did cat get your tounge y/n? '' he chuckled and the next second he was right next to you. '' For god's sake Pietro, did you want me to spill my hot coffee on you? If it burned you I wouldn't be bothered to heal you, learn from your mistakes. '' with your coffee in your hands, you started going around Pietro, when he grabbed you by your forearm. '' I'm sorry, I promise I won't use my powers when you're holding a hot cup of coffee. '' sighing. '' It's whatever. I need to go. '' and with that you left him alone in the kitchen. You were pretty bored so you decided to go on a walk and maybe visit the library you liked to visit on days like these. As you got dressed up, you took all the important things like phone, wallet, keys etc and were on your way. You texted Cap and Wanda letting them know you're outside so that they don't turn into mother hens, especially Cap. It was really nice weather outisde and you were enjoying this walk. You really needed it to clear your head from all thse stupid jealousy thoughts that were forming in your head about Pietro. He's not worthy of your time. 20ish minutes later you've arrived in front of the library. Happiness and joy started taking over your body and it made you so happy that libraries and bookstores were happy and safe places for many people, you being one of them. As you entered the building, the familiar and comforting smell of books filled your nostrills. First thing you checked out was the table with new books that they've recieved, wondering if there was anything that would peak your interest. There were a lot of interesting book titles but none of them were something you'd read, so you went to your favourite isle, romance. Reading romance scratched that itch you have about wanting to be loved. Some of the books you've already read, and some you haven't. Remebering favourite moments from the ones you've read, made you smile and giddy on the inside. You used books as an escape from all the Avengers problems and world problems, getting lost in this small fictional headspace that you created. '' Hi can I help you anyhow miss? '' a guy around your age asked you. He must be a worker here, hence the name tag on his shirt. '' Oh hi, um Aaron. Thank you, but I don't think I need any help. I'm just wandering around reminiscing of all the books here I've read. But if you have any romance books recomendations I'm all ears. '' You smiled. He looked very cute. Brown hair, light eyes, slight beard going on. Smile playing on his lips. '' I'd love that. Well we can start with some classics like Pride and Prejudice which I'm gonna asume you've read, correct? '' a small nod was all you gave him. '' Hm, how about...'' he skimmed through the shelves before stopping at one and taking it out. '' This one? '' it was one of your absolute favourites. '' Of course. Must say it is one of my all time favourites. You have a great taste so far. '' he smiled brightly. '' Thank you. I would love to talk more about romance books on some dinner, if you're up for it? '' you widen your eyes '' You're asking me out on a date? After knowing me for five minutes? What if I'm some crazy insane girl? '' you ask him with a small smirk playing in the corner of your lips. '' Well for a pretty girl like you, I'd risk it. '' he winked and you laughed. '' You haven't even asked for my name. '' '' Well pretty girl, what is your name? '' a tiny bit of heat rushed to your cheeks. '' It's y/n. And here, you can have my number, I should be going now, but please text me or call me if you're really that keen on taking me out on a date. '' taking out a small paper from your bag, your write down your number and give it to Aaron. With a last smile, you leave the library, hoping the cute librarian was really serious about taking you on a date.
A few days have passed since you met Aaron and he called you about an hour later after you left the library. You agreed on going on a dinner date tomorrow at 7pm. Some new restaurant that he wanted to try out. When you told Wanda you have a date, she seemed shocked at first, but after that inital shock she was genuinely happy for you. So of course she also told almost the entire team, and they all had different opinions. The next day, you were giddy since the moment you woke up. It's been awhile since you went on an actual date. Soon it was time for you to get ready, with Wanda's help. You put on a cute dress that Natasha decided to let you borrow, put on some very simple makeup and Wanda braided your hair. Tony asked Happy if he could drive you and he agreed with no hesitation. With 10 minutes to spare, Wanda decided to leave you alone with some quiet time. About two minutes have passed from Wanda leaving you alone in your room, before someone knocked on your door. '' Come in. '' the last person you expected to see was coming inside your room. '' Bet you didn't think it was me, eh? '' he chuckled awkwardly '' Pietro? What are you doing here? '' you asked him confused look on your face. '' I heard about your date. I guess it's not a surprise a beautiful woman like you is having suitors. '' he cleared his throat. '' But I have one request for you though, if you'll allow me.'' you could sense nervousness radiating off him. '' Depends on the request. What is it? '' he took small steps aproaching you before he took your hands into his, looking you straight into eyes. '' Let me be the one you date. Not the guy you're supposed to go out, but me. I've had feelings for you since the first moment I saw you. You were so beautiful while being pissed and angry at my sister for messing with your chosen family. But I'm asking you to take a chance on me. Give me a chance to prove I could be the best man for you. '' he places his hands on both of your cheeks. Shock was the smallest emotion you're feeling right now. Anger, confusion were also there. '' Excuse me? '' a shocked laugh escaped you as you took a step back from him. '' I will not let your jokes ruin my date. Pietro, if you're so into me like you're claiming, why haven't you said anything literally any day before? Leave me alone and please never speak to me again. You dissapointed me even more than I thought you could. '' shaking your head, you go around him before he grabs you by your forearm, just like few days ago in the kitchen. '' I'm dead serious about my feelings for you. I know you're way out of my league and I'll probably never deserve someone as good as you, but the only reason I flirt with these women is to make you jealous. I needed to see any kind of reaction out of you. I'm well aware it's not the smartest plan, but it's something I knew would work. Or at least hoped. I'm sorry for everything. '' and with that he dropped your arm, leaving your room. Stunned you stood there until a notification from your phone came from Happy, asking if you're ready to go. Quickly you texted him you'll be downstairs in a minute. Shaking off your thoughts you made sure you've got all of your things you needed and met with Happy.
The date was perfect. Well as perfect as it can be when you've got someone else completely running around your mind. Aaron obviously noticed that you weren't 100% in the date. '' What's going on? I noticed you were a little bit spaced out. '' a sigh left your mouth before you looked at him. '' I'm sorry, but you deserve someone who would be 100% into the relationship and I can't give you that. One guy I've known for about a month now, has confessed his feelings towards me right before I left for the date and it's messing with my head because I still don't know if he really meant it or he said it to mess with my mind. He's been flirting with every female that gave him slightest attention besides his sister of course. You're a really great guy, but you don't deserve all this drama. I hope we can be friends after this. '' and with that you rose up from the table, gave Aaron tiniest kiss on the cheek, leaving enough money to cover up your part of the meal before leaving the restaurant. Rushing back to the tower (because you couldn't be bothered to wait for Happy to show up) you took off your shoes and started running. About 30 minutes later, you were all out of breath but you were finally arriving at the tower.
You rushed in the elevator, pressing the button many times. Two minutes later, you were finally on the floor that Pietro's room was. Rushing to his door, you started knocking like crazy. ''Okay, okay I'm coming jeez. '' second later he opened his door, wearing nothing but the pajama pants. Wow he had some mean abs. '' prinţesă what are you doing here? Weren’t you supposed to be on the date? '' he was confused. '' I have to talk to you. Can I come in? '' he moved to the side, letting you walk in. '' You ruined my date. '' Pietro scratched his head nervously. '' I'm sorry. I didn't mean to ruin your date. '' he sounded genuine '' Well you did. But Pietro, how serious you were about your feelings for me? I mean when you started flirting with me after the battle, I started having a small crush on you. What I didn't expect is for you to start flirting with so many women. It hurt me and I refused to let myself be hurt by that. How can I trust you that you're serious about me? '' Pietro approached me, putting his hands on both of my cheeks. '' I've adored you from the moment I first saw you. I was stunned how beautiful you looked but you were an enemy back then. Until very recently, even though we were on the same team now, I still didn't fully trust you, which is why I kept flirting with others. I'm so sorry for hurting you unintentionally. I know you like watching Mamma mia and listening to Abba so...'' he took a deep breath before a small chuckle left his lips. Tilting your head to the side you looked at him confused. What does your love for Mamma Mia and Abba have to do with any of this? '' If you change your mind, I'm the first in line, honey I'm still free, take a chance on me? '' laugh erupted from your lips, you just couldn't hold it in. '' I'm sorry for laughing. I couldn't help it. Fine, I'm willing to take a chance on you. But we're gonna take it slow, if it's alright. I'm still not fully convinced, but it's enough that I'm willing to give you a chance. '' he smiled. God he was so pretty when he was smiling. '' That's all I'm asking for prinţesă. ''

regal ties (pt. 5) - wanda maximoff
a/n: sorry it’s been a minute, but i’ve started classes and i don’t really have any time to write now. but i’ll try every now and then when i can.
i ii iii iv v
You dressed up in regal wear for the gala.
Stationed near the door, you stood and watched as Wanda seemed to enjoy a dance with her brother. It was a delight to see Natasha as well. Though she was serving the royalty, she still looked regal.
As she walked by to grab more food from the kitchen, you stopped her. The soft touch almost made her flinch, but she instantly noticed the calloused hands caressing her skin.
She turned to look at you, and you regarded her softly with a smile. “May I speak to you?”
“You may. But I can’t go far.” Wanda watched from the corner of her eye as you pulled Natasha over to a corner. “Is it important?”
“I just wanted to say hello.” The redhead scoffs, a large smile gracing you as she ducks her head. “I cannot stand you.” She pushes you back, making you laugh from your belly.
“My mother will burn me alive if I don’t get this food to the guests.” You laugh more, smiling down at her. “My apologies. I just-I love teasing you.”
“Jerk.” You let her walk away, and you walk back to your post.
“Y/N!” You turn your head, sighing as Pietro drunkenly waltzed over. “I dressed you up, and you do is work?”
“It is my job, sir.” He hums. “That may be, but I consider you a friend, and my friends have to dance at my galas, it’s a requirement!”
Sighing, you reluctantly let him drag you from where you were to dance with him and Wanda. “Dame.”
“Princess.”
———
The dancing went on for quite some time. Natasha and Yelena watched subtly at your uncoordinated dancing, which they were reminding themselves to tease you about.
You were stiff, and that led Wanda to lead. “You know everything but how to dance!” She giggles. You silently follow her, ignoring the looks from royalty who recognized that you were a knight.
“Oh, don’t worry about them.” She noticed your gaze, and made you look at her. “They’re jealous that someone as gorgeous as you can dance with the princess.”
“Gorgeous? I’m flattered, but I swore you couldn’t stand my face some time ago.” You smirk. She rolls her eyes, a faint smile on her features. “Just take my word, Y/N.”
“First name bases as well. I’ve gotten far in short time.”
“Oh, no. You shall still address me as-“ A window crashes, and all the guests jump in shock. You rush over to the disturbance, frowning at the sight of a torch.
Almost as if you anticipated it, another one came flying through, but you caught it and tossed it back out. You pop up from your crouch, and look around. “Guards, get them all somewhere safe. Someone find me Rogers!” You look back out the window and there are men clamoring to enter, as well as a small army marching up the hill.
“What’s happening?” Pietro asks. “Get to safety, Prince.”
“What about you?”
“You think I can’t handle myself? Go!” He sighs, running behind the guards, carrying his sister with him to wherever the royals were being taken. The staff huddled in the kitchen, and the guards stood their ground.
“Men! Follow me.” They ran after you down the steps, and outside into the square. That was when you saw it, the men were fighting others, and joined in.
After taking down a few, you’d made it to a man who’s throat you were going to slit, until you heard a chilling voice. “HALT!” The fighting ceased even from your side, and you dropped the man, before looking at the Titan before you.
Next to him stood two young women, one with swords, and the other with metal appendages and a single sword. “If I can’t speak to the king himself, I will take the next best thing! If I can’t get that…I’ll start killing your subjects!” You looked at Steve, who seemed to be knocked unconscious, but thankfully breathing.
“That would be me!” You yell. The Titan hums, looking over at you. “Hmm. You must be the Dame.” You nod, swallowing nervously. “That I am.”
“Well, I have a message for you.” You clench you jaw, holding to the hilt of your sword.
“Tell the king…that if he does not want to speak to me directly about his plans to invade my land, my children,” He points to the young women beside him. “Will take his children. And I will make an example of them!”
“How dare you threaten the king’s blood?!” The daughter with the longer sword charges you with speed, but you have a second or so to gather your bearings and begin to fight.
You dodge her big swings, and catch her sword with your own, giving you enough time to kick her directly in the stomach. She stumbles for only second before sending a much rougher kick to your side.
You fall to your knees in pain, and she swings her sword right in front of your neck. Your eyes widen in fear and your breath picks up. “Nebula!” The woman silently looks over to her father. “That’s enough.” She hums, backing away.
“Do you all see how easy it was for Nebula to make your precious warrior vulnerable?” Silence amongst the soldiers fill the empty space as you look down in shame. “Unlike this encounter, I will show the king no mercy if he doesn’t not get me a meeting!”
He looks directly at you. “Out of you, I shall make an example.” In a flash, Nebula’s blade ran across your skin, and you were in shock to the point where you barely noticed it.
The Mad Titan almost chuckled at your resilience. “Men. Come!” What’s left of his army retreats, and you place your palms on the wet, muddy ground. “Y/N?” You bend down, letting out the contents of your almost empty stomach.
———
“I should’ve been there to help you!”
“Prince. She took me down in less than 10 seconds, and could’ve decapitated me. I’ve been training since I left the womb, what makes you they wouldn’t have taken your head as a message?” Pietro sighs, stopping his pacing.
He shoots you a sad look, before placing his head in his hands. “Father wants to strike Titan. He wants to ambush after attacking you and the square.” You frowned with confusion.
“Why?”
“Thanos is evil. If he doesn’t strike now, whatever deal the Mad Titan wants will fall through. And we will be in peril.”
———
You stormed down the castle corridors, clutching your broken rib with a new limp in your step. Pietro was trailing after you, attempting to calm you.
You burst into the throne room with a furious face. “You cannot invade!” You yell. “Why don’t you just make the deal?”
“Excuse me?” The king asks.
“We don’t have the army for an ambush, let alone to fight a war!” Everyone in the room watched in shock as you took ragged breaths. The king’s family, including Wanda and Marya, watched on as well.
“You’re out of it, Y/N. But no matter, because I will move forward with the strike, and because you are so bold as to speak to me like a commoner, you will lead! So their blood will be on your hands as well as mine!” He storms over to you, getting into your face.
“I will do what is right! You will show respect for your king, and remind yourself that your current fate is better than death at my hands!” You huff, sparing Wanda a glance, before storming out.

Life Could Be a Dream - Chapter 2
Live in Living Colour Series Masterlist
Masterlist
Summary: (Y/N) slowly begins to remember their life with “Pietro” before WestView as they move through the decades, but sometimes knowledge is a curse rather than a blessing.
Pairing: Pietro (Peter) Maximoff x Reader
Word Count: 1.3k
Warning: WandaVision Episode 6 spoilers! Read at your own risk!
Author’s Note: Here’s the highly requested second part to Be Okay! You don’t have to read it to understand this story, but it does fill in the gap during the 80s episode and give a little more context into the reader’s mind. Also, the reader’s powers and Halloween costume are highly based off of Starlight from the boys even though I did my best to make it gender neutral, but that’s what I kinda envisioned!
(Not My Gif!)
Your hips swayed as you danced around the kitchen, the sound of The Chords’ “Life Could Be a Dream” filled the room from the record player in the corner your beloved vinyl was spinning on. Chopping pineapple for the jell-o in the bundt mold beside you, you hummed along to the familiar tune as your feet shuffled back and forth on the checkered floor.
A whooshing sound and light breeze behind you tore your attention away from the task at hand. Turning around quickly, you were met with the smiling face of your loving boyfriend, relaxing in a chair with his feet propped up against the kitchen table. His dark jeans were complimented by a letterman jacket adorning his shoulders, his shades of grey complimenting your own and those surrounding the both of you.
“My partner and their impeccable taste in music.” He smirked, arms crossed behind his head.
“My boyfriend and his faster-than-a-bullet superspeed.” You retorted, shuffling over to your man and giving him a playful smack on the leg. “Feet off the table! We’ve gotta eat here in a few hours!”
Pietro whooshed once again, this time with one hand in your waist while the other held yours, finally slowing down enough to gently rock you to the music. Life really could be a dream, and you were experiencing it first-hand.
“What is happening? Where did this come from?!” Agent Woo asked, watching the dancing couple sway as a hexagon framed the image and the words ‘Pietro(Y/N)’ shone across the screen.
“I don’t know! When Wanda recast Pietro an extra broadcast started from inside the hex and this is what the channel’s playing.” Darcy explained, taking a sip of her long awaited coffee as the end credits began to roll. “She must have somehow created another storyline for them.”
“But, wait… Didn’t somebody say that (Y/L/N) went missing before the blip?” Monica commented, pointing at your smiling face on the screen.
“Last I heard was that they got beamed up on that spaceship in New York with Spider-Man and Doctor Strange, but nobody’s seen them since.” Jimmy added, crossing his arms with a furrowed brow.
“Well wherever they were, they’re back in action.”
You woke up with a gasp, shooting straight up as a cold sweat adorned your body. Your nightmare had been something that you couldn’t believe your mind had imagined, it was so real, so dark…
You had been on a strange planet surrounded by shades or orange and red, weirdly dressed people fighting all around you. At the centre of it all was this purple giant, a metallic glove adorning his hand as he fought the group of you away.
Before you knew what you were doing you were rushing towards him, hand raised as a tingling feeling ran down your arm while golden light formed around your hand. But your attack was to no avail as with a clench of his fist the giant had opened a red hole in front of you and you began free falling.
“What? What is it?” Pietro grumbled, slowly waking up at your sudden outburst. He sat up as well, rubbing his hand on your lower back soothingly.
“It was just a dream, babe.” You brushed it off, turning to face Pietro and leaning closer towards him. His eyes still held worry and a bit of disbelief as you played it off, but rather than argue, he just held you close as the two of you laid back down until sleep took it’s hold once more.
“How much longer ‘till he calls?” Darcy whined, spinning in her chair as the boredom of watching reruns overtook her. You and Peter had just finished your ‘80s episode, meaning that the two of you had just reunited with Wanda and Vision.
“Don’t worry, he’ll call.” Monica replied, and as if on cue the name ‘Jimmy Woo’ was flashing upon her phone screen. She was quick to answer and eagerly pressed the device to her ear. “Woo? What’d your guy say?”
“Scott said that (Y/N) hasn’t been seen since they were on a planet called Titan fighting Thanos. Stark apparently told him that they got tossed in some hole he opened and they couldn’t get them back.” Jimmy explained, the sound of a car moving filling the background as he was already on his way back from talking to Lang.
“You don’t think that he sent her to wherever this new Pietro came from, do you?” Monica responded, Darcy shrugging her shoulders in response.
“I mean, it’s well within the realm of possibilities?”
“What are you boys doing?” You called from the bottom of the stairs to where Pietro and the twins were playing some video game on the tv, laughing and shouting as they shot at each other. “Piet, why aren’t you in your costume?”
Your boyfriend finally turned to face you and your Halloween costume had his jaw quite literally dropping. You adorned a white costume with a golden star and accents on the front, meanwhile your cape was white with countless smaller stars decorating it’s entirety.
“Wow! Babe, you look… Wow!” He ogled, speeding over to you as his eyes took in your costumed appearance. He ignored your question, Wanda having to bug her brother once more for him to drag Tommy with him to make their matching Quicksilver costumes, their hair slicked up on the sides in an odd way.
Before you knew it the five of you were making your way down the street bustling with costumed kids. Pietro and Wanda were a couple steps ahead of you with the twins, you making the decision to take a minute to appreciate your domestic life while the siblings caught up.
“Unleash hell, demon spawn!” Pietro yelled as the twins went running off to fill their buckets with candy. You weren’t trying to eavesdrop, however you weren’t very far behind them and neither twin was making any effort to speak quietly.
“Do you remember when we were at the orphanage when mom and dad died?” She asked, the duo stopping to talk to each other in the middle of the busy road. While you didn’t intend to stop yourself, the sudden confusion that struck your mind left you no other choice.
Orphanage? Why would Peter have ever been in an orphanage when both his parents were still alive? Wait, Peter? Where was all this coming from?
Suddenly your life was quite literally flashing before your eyes. Getting your powers, joining the Avengers, falling through the portal to another reality, meeting the X-Men… Oh, and Peter. Your relationship with Peter came back in moments, from your first meeting to the day he kissed you after you almost died on a mission. And how could you ever have forgotten your wedding day?!
“Peter?” You asked out loud. Whether you were calling out to the man who you now remember to be your husband or questioning the memories that you had just regained you weren’t sure.
Your sudden comment caused Peter/Pietro to scoff in disbelief and furrow his brows, meanwhile Wanda’s expression darkened as her eyes glared daggers into your head.
“Did you just call me Peter?” He asked incredulously, but his face quickly softened as he saw the fear in your eyes. You were utterly dumbfounded, How did you get back here? Last thing you remembered was being at the school, then all of a sudden you were living in some sit-com town.
“Why doesn’t he remember me? Wanda, what have you done?” Your voice wavered, your gaze shifting from Peter to Wanda, who would have already murdered you if looks could kill.
“I have no idea what you're talking about.” Her eyes flashed red, meanwhile Peter was standing there as if everything around him was completely normal.
“I think you do. Don’t make me do this, Wanda.” Your eyes began glowing as well. There was no way this would be ending well.

She looked up when she saw movement, hands filling with her red wisps of energy but it quickly faded away as she saw Natasha, Clint, and her brother turn the corner and enter the area.
She looked up when she saw movement, hands filling with her red wisps of energy but it quickly faded away as she saw Natasha, Clint, and her brother turn the corner and enter the area.
Wanda let out a breath at seeing her brother still alive, before moving to him quickly and wrapping him in a tight hug.
“I’m alright baby sister.” Wanda huffed slightly but didn’t bother to make a comment about the nickname, she was just happy that he was safe, and she was thanking Clint and Natasha in her head as she did so for protecting him.
“Does anyone know where Tony and Bruce went?” Steve asked as the pair approached him, Wanda stayed behind with Pietro as they watched from afar. No matter how much Steve may have assured her that they were no longer the enemy, that they trusted them and wanted them a part of the team, she was still wary about the whole idea.
It’s only ever been the two of them since their parents died. They relied on each other for everything. Pietro always made sure he had Wanda’s best interests at hand when making decisions for them. She knew she could trust her brother's judgement, she knew that if he thought the Avengers weren’t trustworthy then he would have taken off with her by now.
“Is that my jacket?” She heard the words fall easily off of the lips of the Russian, who’s stare was on her, she felt the gaze and looked up, making eye contact with Natasha before quickly diverting her gaze back to the ground.
“She’s with us.” Steve stated quickly.
“That still doesn’t explain the jacket.” Natasha shot back, eyes still trained on Wanda‘s figure as she watched the woman shift uncomfortably under her gaze, avoiding all eye contact. Natasha smirked slightly, she liked that she made the girl uncomfortable. She liked that she was able to get under the girl’s skin so easily. What she didn’t expect, was to also like the way the jacket looked on Wanda.
Natasha shook her head slightly, trying to get the thoughts out of her head, but as they made their way out of the covered area and back into the fighting zone, she couldn’t help herself as her eyes stayed trained to Wanda the whole time. The way the jacket moved with her perfectly, hugged her curves just right and the fact that she couldn’t zip the jacket over her breasts had Natasha almost drooling. Natasha was fucked.
⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾ ⋆⁺₊⋆ ☁︎
It wasn’t until a few days later, Natasha returning from her morning run, wiping her forehead with a towel as she entered her room, completely ready for the nice cold shower she was about to have. She stopped in her tracks when she noticed a neatly folded article of clothing placed on her bed with a piece of paper on it. That wasn’t there when she left this morning.
She approached the bed and picked up the article of clothing, only to realize that it was her jacket from a few days ago. The jacket that Wanda was wearing as she fought Ultron. The jacket she didn't want back because she’d rather see Wanda wear it.
She picked up the note that fell and her eyes grazed across the letter, a small smile forming across her face as she did so.
Natasha,
I hope that this is in any way an apology for the other day. Steve never mentioned it was your jacket. I don’t think I would have taken it knowing it was yours, I’m not going to lie, you intimidate me. But I’m sorry if I upset you, I never meant to. So here’s your jacket back. I washed it and sprayed some perfume on it so it smells nice.
— Wanda
Natasha just smiled at the letter as she gripped the jacket in her hand. Reading over the letter again and again, looking over the beautiful cursive that was written by the brunette. Loving how she could hear her accent as she read the words.
She lifted the jacket to her nose and breathed in, the warm scent of cinnamon and vanilla filled her nostrils and she immediately knew this was the perfume that Wanda always seemed to frequent. She thought it was cute that Wanda wanted to wash the jacket and leave a spritz of herself on it, even if she thought Natasha would still be upset over the jacket situation.
She set the jacket down on her bed and made her way into the bathroom before hopping in the shower to quickly rid herself of the sweat that was on her body. Or maybe she wanted to take a shower so that way when she went to go see Wanda, she could smell just as good as that jacket did.
She finished her shower and got dressed in a pair of shorts and a t-shirt, her usual loungewear attire if she didn’t have any plans for the day, or if there weren’t any missions to attend to. She grabbed the jacket and the letter off of her bed before making her way out of her room and taking the short walk across the hall to Wanda’s room.
The two women were the only ones that resided on the top floor, it made sense, both being women and all, Tony thought Wanda could use the company and the “estrogen” as he put it.
She let out a breath before softly knocking on the door. She heard movement on the other side of the door, followed by a thud and a soft spoken “fuck” as footsteps approached the door and it swung open, revealing a very unprepared Wanda as she was struggling to put her sweatshirt over her head.
Natasha just giggled at the sight as she stood and watched Wanda successfully pull the hoodie over her head and let out a breath.
“Sorry, I wasn’t expecting any visitors.” Wanda breathed out, spent from trying to get that damn hoodie over her head.
Natasha smiled and walked past Wanda into her room. “It’s okay little witch.” She spoke softly as she looked around the room, it was modern for the most part but also had homey vibes to it. She looked over at the desk that was in the corner and smiled at the pictures she saw, most were of her and her brother and there was one of them when they were younger with their parents.
Wanda stood nervously by the door as she watched Natasha, playing with her fingers as she watched her move around her room.
“It’s very cute in here..” Natasha finally spoke and Wanda smiled.
“Thanks, I uhm, I’m still working on getting things organized, but I like it for now.” She said shyly, sitting on the edge of her bed, which in turn was followed by Natasha sitting next to her.
She nervously played with the rings that littered her fingers, she had close to eleven, but who was counting? She stared down at her hands until she felt Natasha move next to her, she lifted her gaze and saw her pulling the jacket she had just returned earlier that morning in her hands.
“When I first saw you in this, I was annoyed, it was my favorite jacket, and there you were, wearing it.” She spoke softly as she played with the fabric of the jacket between her fingers. “But then I watched you more, I watched you while you were wearing the jacket and I realized it looked way better on you than it did me.” Wanda blushed at her words as she looked up to meet Natasha’s gaze.
“I want you to keep it..” She said softly, placing the jacket in Wanda’s hands who shook her head slightly.
“This is your jacket Nat, I can’t just take it.” Wanda said, trying to push the jacket back into Natasha’s hands but it was to no use when Natasha stopped her hands with her own.
“It’s not taking if I’m giving it to you, little witch.” Natasha said, rubbing the cheek of the younger woman as she spoke, Wanda instinctively leaned into the touch of the older woman, loving the warm and soft skin of her hand caressing her cheek.
Natasha smiled as she gazed adoringly at the woman before her, she was so tiny and fragile and had so many experiences ahead of her, and she could only hope that she would get the chance to be a part of them.
⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾ ⋆⁺₊⋆ ☁︎
A few weeks had passed and the pair grew closer every day. They did everything together, from training to eating every meal to sleeping in each other’s beds, to showering together, yes, showering together.
Despite it being only a few weeks, the two had grown close. They tried to take it slow at first, small flirts here and there, little touches and caresses during training and eventually Natasha could not keep her hands to herself. After she had slammed Wanda down on the mat during training and her name fell out of her mouth in the most delicate way, accent thick, and moan following.
Natasha fucked her right there on the mat.
They didn’t have a label on their relationship, they didn’t find the need to have a label, they just knew that they belonged to each other, and no one else, they didn’t want anyone else.
That was until Wanda went on a mission.
That was until Wanda went on a mission and was gone for six months.
That was until it was three months after Wanda had left, three months of no Wanda, no sex, no cuddling, and no kisses. Three months where Natasha had to fuck herself to sleep if she wanted to get a decent night’s rest.
That was until one night, with her hand between her legs and vibrator pressed tightly against her clit that a certain brunette opened the door to the room. Natasha moaned and squealed at the same time as the door flung open and in the doorway stood Maria Hill, who by the looks of it could not take her eyes off of the sight in front of her.
Natasha quickly removed her hands from between her legs as she scrambled to find something to cover herself with. Maria used the distraction to her advantage and made her way over to Natasha, grabbed her wrists and stopped her movements.
“Let me help..” Maria whispered out and before Natasha could protest, her head was between her legs and Natasha’s head was leaning back, eyes rolled into the back of her head in pure pleasure.
She knew the second she didn’t scream at Maria to leave or the second she didn’t try to push her away when she felt her head drifting downwards to her heat that it was wrong, my god it was so wrong but it felt so good.
She missed the touch of her girlfriend, she missed the feeling of lips being wrapped around her clit and sucking relentlessly that when Maria Hill offered to help, she couldn’t decline.
And after Maria had finished her off, Natasha took it upon herself to help Maria out too, returning the favor so you could say.
This continued on for months.
This continued on until the day that Wanda arrived home.
This continued on until the day that Wanda arrived home and was not greeted by her girlfriend at the landing platform.
This continued on until the day that Wanda arrived home and was not greeted by her girlfriend at the landing platform, and instead was met with no one besides her brother who brought her in for a tight hug and expressed how much he had missed her.
This continued on until the second Wanda opened the door to their bedroom and saw Maria Hill, head deep between Natasha’s legs.
A small gasp left her lips as she dropped her bag to the floor, frozen in her spot as she watched the scene before her unfold.
The thud of the bag turned both women away from each other and both of them looked at the door, eyes locked with Wanda’s, who at this point didn’t know if she should cry, scream or do both.
What shocked the two women the most was how calm Wanda was about the situation. Red mist filled her fingers as she pointed her gaze towards Maria, head tilted to the side and the red tendrils of magic ready to make its way of attack. Maria got the message and fled the room before Wanda could kill her.
No words were spoken as Natasha scrambled to throw on some clothes. She eyed Wanda carefully, who kept the same spot she did when she entered the room, she hadn’t moved a muscle nor had she looked Natasha’s way, and Natasha felt guilty.
God, she fucked up.
“Fucked up? All you think you did was fuck up?” Wanda seethed as she finally looked over at Natasha, who mentally cursed herself forgetting that she could read minds.
“Wanda, I-“
“No, you don’t get to speak. You don’t get to speak a single fucking word to me. Do you understand, Natasha?!” Wanda yelled and Natasha shrunk back, tilting her head down to look at the ground.
“I’m so so-“
“Save it.” She spit out. “I don’t want to hear your fucking excuse of an apology.” She continued, fingers running through her hair as the tears she was once holding back began to fall freely down her face.
You’re damn right it’s your fault.” Wanda sniffed out as she wiped at her face, turning to look at Natasha who had barely glanced up enough to meet her eyes.
“You’re damn right it’s your fault.” Wanda sniffed out as she wiped at her face, turning to look at Natasha who had barely glanced up enough to meet her eyes.
“Tell me, what in the fuck was going through your mind when you thought it was okay to sleep with fucking Maria Hill?!” Wanda spat and Natasha flinched, she wasn’t one to get scared, nor to be afraid of someone but this was a side of Wanda she had never seen, this was the side of Wanda she never wanted to see. And yet, she was the reason why this side was brought out.
“Are you going to say anything?” Wanda pushed on, staring at Natasha who stayed silent, staring down at her feet as she did so. “No.” Wanda said softly while choking back a sob.
“Now get the fuck out.” Wanda stated, and Natasha was quick to look up, panic filling her eyes as the reality of the situation finally kicked in and she realized what she had done.
“Wands, please, let me explain.” Natasha begged through a choked sob and Wanda just shook her head.
“What I saw when I walked in this bedroom was enough explanation for me. Now get the fuck out before I make you get out.” She snapped and Natasha went to go speak but the red wisps of energy that were floating between her fingertips made her close her mouth and nod silently.
She grabbed the few things she would need for the night before she exited the room, the door swiftly slamming shut behind her as she had barely stepped foot out of the door. Red energy seemed to overtake the door to not allow access to anyone to the room. A scream of what one would call agony came from inside the room as it was followed by sobs that racked the witch's body as she cried. She cried harder than she had ever cried before on that night.
Natasha couldn’t even make it across the hallway to her room before she collapsed to the floor, sobs racking her body as she gasped to catch her breath. She felt like she was suffocating, like the air was suddenly ripped from her lungs and she was drowning, drowning in her own fears and her own sorrows as she listened to Wanda sobbing from across the hall.
⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾ ⋆⁺₊⋆ ☁︎
A hand shaking her shoulder brought her back to reality, she blinked a few times as she trained her eyes away from Natasha and Maria, who were sat across the room, Maria sitting in Natasha’s lap as her arm was laced around the back of her neck and Natasha had an arm securely wrapped around her waist.
Her gaze finally fell on the person who’s hand was still on her shoulder, Steve. Wanda and Steve had grown close over the last few months, both using their grief of losing someone close to them to bond in a way and be the support system for the other.
Peggy’s death hit Steve harder than he ever thought it would, and it wasn’t long before the whole compound knew about the situation between Wanda, Natasha, and Maria. So, Steve confronted Wanda one night, offered her solace and a place where she could feel safe to let her emotions out and the two haven’t looked back since. Their growing friendship was the only thing holding the hole together that was in Wanda’s heart.
“You okay Wands? I think we lost you there for a second.” Steve asked as her gaze lifted and everyone in the room, including Natasha, had their eyes on her, concern written in each of their faces.
Wanda looked down from their gazes and played with the rings on her fingers, she had thirteen now, she loved playing with them, they eased her anxiety. But if you were to ask her on a bad day, she would tell you that she only wore them because she knew Natasha loved her rings and the way they looked on her hands.
Wanda just shook her head some and let out a small laugh, wiping away at the tear that fell quickly from her eye as she stood up from her seat.
“I think I’m going to turn in for the night.” She said quickly, not allowing anyone to protest as she made her way out of the living room. Walking as fast as she could down the hallway and to the elevator. She just wanted to disappear, she couldn’t take seeing them together anymore.
Natasha frowned at the quick exit of Wanda as she swiftly removed Maria from her lap and stood.
“I’m going to go check on Wanda.” She said, moving to leave the room before a hand was placed in her bicep, stopping her movements.
“Is that really the best thing for you to do? Haven’t you done enough?” Steve said as his grip remained on her bicep, Natasha yanked her arm out of his hand before glaring at him.
“You don’t get a say in what’s best for me or for her, now back off Rogers.” She seethed as she made her way out of the living room and down the hall to try and find Wanda.
She turned the corner and spotted her waiting by the elevator, she was rocking back and forth on the heels of her feet as she waited, hands stuffed into her pockets as she did.
“Wanda..” Natasha spoke softly from behind, Wanda jumped in the slightest at the sound of the voice from behind her, causing her to turn quickly on her heel and face the intruder. She was, in a way, hoping it was Natasha who had come after her, but that doesn’t mean her heart didn’t break any less when she did turn to find her there.
Wanda looked back down at her feet, tears filling her eyes as everything came crashing down on her once again like a tidal wave. The love and the happiness the two shared in the relationship to the hurt and betrayal Wanda felt when she walked in on Natasha and Maria.
A soft hand found its way to Wanda’s cheek, caressing it softly as it brought her face back up to meet Natasha’s eye, and that alone was enough to have Wanda breaking down into a fit of sobs.
Natasha wrapped her arms tightly around the woman and pulled her close against her, laying her head on her shoulder as she let the witch cry against her. She rubbed her back and did her best to soothe her, whispering soft words in her ear.
“I’m so sorry Wanda..” Natasha choked out, holding back tears of her own and she continued to hold the woman she once loved, no, the woman she still loves in her arms.
It was as if both needed this moment, a moment to let all of the pent up months of emotions out in front of one another. Neither had spoken to the other, unless it was in passing, after the events that occurred.
Both avoided the other stealthily as they tried to get over it, but there was no getting over it. You don’t just fall out of love that easily.
Wanda was the first to pull away from the embrace, dropping her hands from Natasha as she wiped at her face, the tears already beginning to form streaks in her makeup and at this point she didn’t give a fuck what she looked like.
Natasha stood there as she watched Wanda, eyes trained on her movements as she tried to read her. Wanda was always a hard person for Natasha to read.
The two locked eyes for a split second, a split second too long as Natasha surged forward and pressed their lips together in a needy and desperate kiss, hands finding the sides of Wanda’s face easily as she held her there.
A squeal was emitted from Wanda as she felt Natasha’s lips on hers, but that squeal soon turned into a whimper as her hands gripped at her sides, kissing back with as much need and love and desperation as she was given, god she missed those lips more than she could admit.
She could taste the saltiness of their tears and their lips continuously folded together, tongues battling for dominance as they did. It wasn’t until Wanda heard the smallest moan escape from Natasha that she pushed her away so forcefully with her magic that it almost sent her flying down the hallway.
“No.” Wanda said. “No.” She repeated.
Natasha regained her balance as she tried to take a step towards Wanda but was held in place by what seemed to be an invisible shield, but was actually her magic.
“After all of these months you do not get to kiss me like that.” Wanda stated. “You do not get to kiss me like that when I’ve been sitting here on the sidelines asking myself everyday what I could have done better! Asking myself why you chose her, what was so mesmerizing about her huh? Was I not good enough for you Natasha? I guess you liked her better huh?! All of this time it was her all along! Did I not give you enough pleasure?! My god what did you think I was going to do?! Forgive and forget and just move on and fall back in your arms?” She seethed and Natasha just looked down, a laugh leaving Wanda’s mouth as she did so.
“God you’re pathetic. All of this is so pathetic!” She practically yelled as she released her hold on Natasha as she pressed the elevator button again.
“Wanda please..” Natahsa begged and Wanda just held up her hand.
“Natalia no, we’re done. We were done the second you decided to cheat. Nothing you say or do will ever get me back. You chose her, so go fucking have her.” Wanda said, as the elevator doors opened as she stepped inside, turning to press the button to her floor, looking up at the last second to meet Natasha’s gaze.
“Wanda wait-“ But she was cut off by the doors closing and she was left standing there, a crying, heartbroken mess.
