Charlotte Ritter doesn’t have a lot of disposable income, which can be seen in how often she rewears her fabulous clothing. Babylon Berlin costume designer Pierre-Yves Gayraud has incorporated pieces from the first three outings in Season 4, which includes the chevron top Charlotte almost died in. The knit has great button details and leans into Charlotte’s gold palette. It is also what she is wearing when a first kiss with Gereon almost happened.

Hey:) 2 things: 1) your posts bring a lot of joy to my world 2) for the costume ask: what’s your favorite musketeer-adaption costume-wise? (Bonus question if you’ve watched it:D : any thoughts about the costume choices in knives out?

THE 2011 VERSION IS THE BEST THREE MUSKETEERS BECAUSE IT IS THE ONLY ONE THAT TRULY UNDERSTANDS DUMAS’ VISION: BE BONKERS, BE SEXY, AND HAVE FUN (WITH SWORDS)

it’s really weird you bring this up because I’ve actually been meaning to write a Three Musketeers post for ages, specifically to explain my love for this absolute garbage fire of a movie that is so beautifully, beautifully designed. Pierre-Yves Gayraud is an amazing designer who we never hear enough about, and to be able to devote a whole post to one of his best movies just fills me with delight.

So why is this the best Three Musketeers movie? It has a lot to do with one of the hidden strengths of the book that nobody really thinks about. People tend to tell the Three Musketeers story as a series of plot points, with D’Artagnan in the center and the musketeers as his back-up band. In doing this, we clump the musketeers together as an identical trio: all for one, and one for all. And there’s appeal in that, and there’s definitely some of that in the book! But what’s also in the book is Dumas’s crystal-clear delineation of each character: Athos and Aramis and Porthos are all radically different people, with their own flaws and weaknesses and strengths, and their unity only means something when you see who each is as his own person.

The 2011 version is the only version that does this with as much drama and flair as Dumas himself. We get proper versions of each musketeer—Porthos, earthy and expensive; Athos, wise and sad; Aramis, a lover and a playboy and a desperate Catholic. (Aramis has always been my favorite.) This travesty of a movie throws in steam-powered balloons and ninjas and enough bad writing to power a country, but its heart is firmly in the right place, and that heart knows what makes this book tick.

If you haven’t watched The Three Musketeers (2011) yet, I encourage you to do so immediately, preferably half drunk and prone on your couch. You’ll see what I’m talking about right away: Aramis is romantic and melancholic, a fop and a monk; Athos looks like he tried, once, but then got his heartbroken and let his riches turn to rags. (Porthos is a Sexy Bastard in brown leather just to taunt me.) Each one’s character is plain as day, but they unite as a group; they’re beautiful, they’re modern, they’re historical and enchanting. This movie is a blitz of beauty. 

Also—and I know I’ve gone on unnecessarily long, but here we are—it makes beauty of a really ugly time period. Costume designers aren’t allowed to say this, not technically, but the 1600s are rampantly awful, and trying to design anything in them that appeals to Hollywood audiences is always a deadly exercise. I mean, look at what we got in the 1950s for these guys:

Jesus fucking Christ.

The whole era is full of HUGE pants and HUGE collars and HUGE everything, and waistlines all over the place and bulges in weird spots, and it can be a disaster if you don’t have a master at the wheel. But the 2011 Three Musketeers uses the idiocy of the 1600s to its advantage, using them to tell a big, dramatic story with huge aspirations and no braincells. Is it dumb? Yes of course it’s dumb. But it’s also fun, fun and beautiful, and I couldn’t ask anything more of it.

I want to cover Knives Out too but send a separate ask for it! Knives Out is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a long time, so I’ll have a lot of things to say about it too :)

Atlas Chmur. Wielkie Cele OChK

Już przy ten piątek do kin wchodzi nowy film rodzeństwa Wachowskich zatytułowany „Atlas Chmur”. Atlas chmur własną klamrową budową jeszcze raz podkreśla, że historia kołem się toczy, że wszystko zdaje się posiadać wpływ na wszystko i że nic nie dzieje się przypadkowo. Aktualnie nie zaakceptować posiadamy recenzji oraz informacje związanych z filmem "Atlas Chmur" (2012). Nominowany do odwiedzenia Nagrody Bookera bestseller Atlas Chmur” Davida Mitchella to również jedna ze Stu Książek Dekady według wpływowych brytyjskich krytyków literackich Richarda Madeleya i Judy Finnigan.

Procesy owe często wymagają nie tylko modernizacji aplikacji, ale również nowego spojrzenia na konstrukcję organizacyjną i procesy administrowania IT. W tym obszarze naszymi partnerami są niesłychanie doświadczone firmy - Asseco, Accenture i DXC Technology a także, mniejsze, ale specjalizujące się w transformacji do chmur podmioty jak np. Chmurowisko.

Murus i cauda to nowe pozycje przy Atlasie w tak nazywanych odmianach specjalnych i zjawiskach towarzyszących chmurze. Chcemy te bariery zmniejszyć, wprowadzając chmurę zgodną z lokalnymi regulacjami, zlokalizowaną w Polsce, jak również wspierając postęp kompetencji przez programy szkolne. Do tej ostatnich realizacji należy film-opera 3D Sunken Garden zredagowana we współpracy z Davidem Mitchellem, autorem powieści Atlas chmur (premiera: Barbican Center, Londyn 2013).

Ochrona w Chmurze Krajowej wydaje się absolutnym priorytetem. Po raz pierwszy atlas wydano w 1896 r. i składał się wraz z zaledwie 28 kolorowych fotografii obłoków. Międzynarodowy atlasie chmur, opublikowany przez Światową Organizację Meteorologiczną w 1956 r., w którym została przedstawiona lasyfikacja chmur obowiązująca wszystkie ekipy meteorologiczne.

Richard Hamblyn, autor mnóstwo nagradzanych książek chmurach, przedstawia przykłady zaskakujących i niesamowitych formacji chmurowych - od czasu pasm "uliczek chmurowych" do odwiedzenia olbrzymich chmur Altocumulus lenticularis przypominających kształtem UFO. Dużym pozytywem Atlasu chmur są kostiumy i ogólna charakteryzacja, którymi zajęli się Kym Barrett, która pomagała już Wachowskim przy okazji Matrixa oraz Pierre-Yves Gayraud, który z transportu zajmował się kostiumami do odwiedzenia Pachnidła Tykwera.

W atlas chmur online pl kinomaniak nowym Atlasie Chmur dodano również: Asperitas, Murus, Cauda, Cavum i Fluctus. Tak bądź inaczej na Atlas chmur szkoda czasu i pieniędzy. To pytanie doskonale charakteryzuje jeden z kluczowych bodźców utworzenia Chmury Krajowej. Aleksandra Derra, Wydawnictwa Akademickie i Zawodowe, Warszawa 1994, s. pięćdziesięciu. 48.
