HAAS & Kick Sauber;
Bearman, Antonelli, Newey
F1 masterlist
Yesterday it was announced Niko Hülkenberg will drive for Kick Sauber F1 Team next year.
It is not the biggest deal but it is interesting to think whose place he took. I believe it is Valterri’s. I have read Zhou is a “payer” driver since he brought a sponsor with him so it wouldn’t make sense to lose him for Hülkenberg. Bottas and Niko are more experienced drivers and they are very helpful to improve Kick’s performances but the problem is the car. Valterri won and had an amazing career in Merceds and now he can barely scores points, Zhou was a great young driver in F3 and F2! In 2021 he participated with the Abu Dhabi Racing by Prema team in the Asian F3 Championship. In the last race on the Yas Marina circuit he won the championship with sixteen points behind Pierre-Louis Chovet. Also in F2 he finished 3^ as best result. Not so bad after all! He also deserves a better car! So if he’s a payer the Scuderia needs him, if he’s not he still deserves a seat in Kick (especially after his amazing performance during the Sprint Race in China!)
People are speculating Oliver Bearman will take Niko’s place in Haas. It would be awesome for him to drive AGAIN an F1 so young but after his performance I was hoping he would get a better car. But everyone has to start somewhere from the bottom and then raise.
Let’s pretend Magnussen will re-sign with Haas, do you think Kevin is willing to cover Oliver’s shoulders? As an experienced driver he wouldn’t be so keen to do so to someone so young! (Or at least I presume, maybe he will get orders from the box to do so or maybe he will understand his time as a driver has come and help “the boy”). But we are not so sure about Kevin’s contract so let’s go on with our news.
I have read on Italian sites that Williams might want to replace Logan with Andrea Kimi Antonelli, the Italian enfant prodige, who skipped F3. It’s just a rumor but if it turns out to be true I’m not so sure I agree with it. I have this feeling that Kimi’s career it’s getting burned, people are expecting him to be the new Senna and I think it’s not good for him. I know F1 is a though job, drivers have a strong mentality and it’s literally their job to manage such things. But kindness and respect are free, we should not push him BEFORE his debut in F1. “Every fruits have their on season”. And if he doesn’t replace Sargeant do you think Mercedes will take him to take Lewis’ place? I’m not so sure, I think they will take him in 2026 but next year might be too soon.
Last rumor of the day! Apparently Newey has rejected Aston Martin’s offer! It is getting more and more interesting, TIFOSI LET’S KEEP OUR FINGERS CROSSED!
Thank you guys for your attention, let me know what you think!
xoxo

The Junior Driver Program boasts a diverse representation of 16 nationalities, while the GT3 Junior roster features drivers from five countries.
Assessment and Future Prospects
Following meticulous assessment criteria encompassing performance metrics, progression, consistency, professionalism, technical acumen, and attitude, standout drivers will advance to a decisive shootout. This showdown, held annually after the Lamborghini World Finals at Jerez de la Frontera in Spain, determines the winners of the Super Trofeo and GT3 Junior Driver Programs. Winners earn coveted factory support from Squadra Corse for the upcoming 2025 season, ensuring a pivotal career boost.
Past Achievements and Promising Prospects
In the previous season, Ugo de Wilde and Marzio Moretti, Super Trofeo Junior laureates, have transitioned to GT3, competing in prestigious events like the GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup and International GT Open. Similarly, Loris Spinelli secured his spot as a Lamborghini Factory Driver after winning the GT3 Junior shootout.
The expanded GT3 Junior roster for 2024 includes notable talents such as German drivers Simon Connor Primm and Luca Engstler, alongside Italian GT Championship contenders Jacopo Guidetti, Riccardo Cazzaniga, and Gilles Stadsbader. Completing the lineup are Artem Petrov, a teammate of Moretti in GT Open, and Antoine Doquin, a driver in GTWC Europe Bronze Cup.
Young Professional Drivers and Skill Development
Four drivers have been named Lamborghini Squadra Corse Young Professional Drivers: Danny Formal, a double Super Trofeo North America champion and IMSA GTD competitor; Maximilian Paul, a DTM race winner; Yuki Nemoto, who excels in GTWC Asia; and Mattia Michelotto, a race winner in the Italian GT Championship and podium finisher at Spa 24 Hours. These drivers represent the pinnacle of Lamborghini's commitment to nurturing talent in GT and sportscar racing.
Training and Development
The Super Trofeo and GT3 Junior Programs provide comprehensive training, including media management and on-track instruction, designed to enhance technical skills and physical conditioning. This development occurs at Lamborghini’s state-of-the-art gym facilities in Sant’Agata Bolognese, reinforcing a holistic approach to driver preparation.
Instructor Appointments
Further illustrating the program's success, several former participants have been appointed as official Lamborghini instructors. Baptiste Moulin, Marcus Påverud, Oliver Söderström, and Pierre Louis Chovet join esteemed instructors Jonathan Ceccotto and Alberto Di Folco, underscoring their professional prowess beyond competitive racing.
Partnership with Macron
The 2024 Lamborghini Young Driver Program is conducted in collaboration with Macron, a leading Bolognese sportswear brand. Macron will exclusively provide uniforms and training kit for all participants, reinforcing Lamborghini Squadra Corse's commitment to excellence in motorsport development.
In summary, the 2024 Young Driver Programs by Lamborghini Squadra Corse promise an exciting season of talent discovery and development, setting the stage for the future stars of GT and sportscar racing.

F2 & F3 SPRINT RACE REPORTS - 2020 BELGIAN GRAND PRIX
Today’s feeder series action saw more luck in F2 for the race winner, this time for Robert Shwartzman, which meant he took the championship lead, whilst in F3 Logan Sargeant recovered from yesterday’s engine woes to retake his Championship lead by winning ahead of his team mate Frederik Vesti.
Reports below:
SHWARTZMAN WINS AS LEADERS COLLIDE
Robert Shwartzman got lucky at Spa, inheriting the lead and converting it into victory after Dan Ticktum and Roy Nissany collided whilst battling for the lead in the F2 Sprint Race.
Juri Vips found himself starting from the back again, but this time from the pit lane, after stalling on the grid before the formation lap, but when the race started it was Guanyu Zhou who went backwards, falling behind Shwartzman and Louis Deletraz to drop back from the front row.
Ticktum initially took the lead into La Source, only for Nissany to take it back at Le Combes, whilst further behind, Callum Ilott had to back off to avoid the recovering ART of Christian Lundgaard through Malmedy, unfortunately Yuki Tsunoda opted to plough into the back of the Brit, spinning him round and eliminating him from the race, earning the Japanese driver a five-second time penalty.
The Safety Car was deployed, but racing resumed on lap four, Ticktum got around the outside of Nissany, who botched the restart, into Le Combes, only for Nissany to tap the Brit and force him off and as he came back on they made contact again with the Trident spinning into the wall and eliminating Nissany, and leaving Ticktum understandably fuming – the Safety Car deployed once more.
Unfortunately for DAMS, Ticktum had also sustained damage, but a pit stop would ruin his race so they were forced to leave him out on track, but Deletraz immediately passed him for P2 at the Bus Stop when racing resumed on lap 7.
Ticktum then used the DRS to get back past the Swiss driver down the Kemmel Straight, and he then also fell behind Guanyu Zhou, Mick Schumacher and Nikita Mazepin to fall down to P6 by the end of lap 8.
Lap 11 saw Marcus Armstrong retire from the race after another difficult weekend, whilst former F3 rivals Ticktum and Schumacher battled for P2, with the German coming out on top again, Zhou tried to go round the outside of the Brit for P3 at Blanchimont but failed, a move which Peter Windsor described as “immature” in commentary.
Luca Ghiotto then started to move through the field, passing Jack Aitken for P7 and Deletraz for P6 on consecutive laps, whilst further behind Jehan Daruvala drove into the back of Marino Sato, spinning him out and ending his race – this time the Virtual Safety Car was deployed.
Racing resumed on lap 16, with Lundgaard taking P9 from Markelov for P9 at Le Combes, Mazepin passed Ticktum for P4 with a great move at Blanchimont, and Ghiotto also battled past the stricken DAMS at the Bus Stop for P5.
Ticktum then lost three further places to Deletraz, Tsunoda and Lundgaard respectively, and on the final lap he lost out to Markelov for P9, meaning he lost the final point after Tsunoda had his penalty added, meaning the Russian gets his first point of the season.
Vips also briefly got past Ticktum at the Bus Stop, but the Brit out-dragged him to the line for P10, with the Estonian left wondering what could’ve been had he not stalled on the grid.
SHWARTZMAN, SCHUMACHER, ZHOU MAZEPIN, GHIOTTO, DELETRAZ, LUNDGAARD, MARKELOV TSUNODA, TICKTUM VIPS, PIQUET, DRUGOVICH, ALESI, SAMAIA, DARUVALA, AITKEN SATO, ARMSTRONG, NISSANY & ILOTT – DNF
SARGEANT BOUNCES BACK AT SPA
Logan Sargeant bounced back from yesterday’s disappointment to see off a tough challenge from his Prema team mate Frederik Vesti, to retake the F3 Championship lead.
The race start saw Liam Lawson go backwards from the front row, dropping from P2, as Richard Verschoor initially saw off Sargeant’s challenge for the lead, further behind Jack Doohan’s bad luck continued as he was forced to slow and then retire thanks to a puncture.
Lap three saw Vesti and Theo Pourchaire battle past Olli Caldwell, whilst Sargeant took the lead going down the Kemmel Straight, and Verschoor then also fell behind the Dane just a lap later.
Rookie Pierre-Louis Chovet then got pushed into the barrier on the exit of Le Combes, ending his race and deployed the Virtual Safety Car.
Racing resumed on lap six, and Alex Peroni made a great restart to pass both Sebastian Fernandez and David Beckmann, only for the German to get back through going down the Kemmel Straight.
Theo Pourchaire then moved into the podium positions, getting past Richard Verschoor into the Bus Stop Chicane, he was followed through by Lawson and Alex Smolyar going down the Kemmel Straight.
Lawson then passed the Frenchman for P3 a lap later, again down the Kemmel Straight, with Smolyar following through at turn 11. Behind them Caldwell locked up while trying to pass Peroni and hit the Australian, both went off but were able to continue.
Oscar Piastri then passed Pourchaire for P5, but later lost the position again for leaving the track and gaining an advantage when passing Verschoor.
The final lap saw Vesti obtain DRS but couldn’t get past the American, whilst Malvestiti spun out Cameron Das at the final corner, whilst battling for P20, but he was still able to get across the line to finish.
The result means Sargeant retakes the Championship lead from Piastri, after engine problems yesterday meant he lost it, whilst Caldwell and Peroni were still under investigation at the flag for the incident at Le Combes.
SARGEANT, VESTI, LAWSON SMOLYAR, POURCHAIRE, PIASTRI, VERSCHOOR, ZENDELI, BECKMANN, FERNANDEZ CALDWELL*, FITTIPALDI, DUNNER, SCHUMACHER, NOVALAK, VISCAAL, HUGHES, HAUGER, STANEK, MALVESTITI, ESTNER, PERONI*, DAS, DELEDDA, WILLIAMS, NANNINI FRAGA + 1 LAP BELOV, CHOVET AND DOOHAN – DNF

New Post has been published on https://freenews.today/2021/03/26/fia-f3-announces-test-sessions-for-2021-season/
FIA F3 announces test sessions for 2021 season
The first test will be held at Austria’s Red Bull Ring on 3-4 April, before two tests in Spain – one before and after the season’s first round supporting the Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix on 7-9 May.
A weekend of sessions will take place at the Circuit de Barcelona Catalunya on 21-22 April ahead of the season opener, with the third test being held after the first round at the Jerez circuit on 12-13 May.
The sessions were previously postponed due to travel restrictions imposed on UK travellers, designed to slow the spread of COVID-19.
The Barcelona test had been set to take place on 16-17 March, but was delayed after the Spanish Health Ministry further extended its ban on UK travellers from 2 March to 16 March.
It would have meant British teams Carlin and Hitech Grand Prix, both fielding three cars each this year, would have been unable to attend.
The latest addition to the line-up was confirmed this week, with Hungarian 20-year-old Laszlo Toth joining Lorenzo Colombo and Amaury Cordeel at Campos Racing.
Eight of the 10 teams on the grid have confirmed their full rosters, with Carlin yet to confirm one driver and Charouz yet to announce two thirds of its lineup.
Among the most high-profile entries Juan Manuel Correa, the 21-year-old American making his comeback after sustaining serious leg injuries in the FIA Formula 2 crash at Spa in 2019 that claimed the life of Anthoine Hubert.

Mercedes junior Frederik Vesti is the best-placed returning driver from 2020, the Dane switching from Prema to join Correa at ART.
