Dad Xavier with twins (boy and girl)
i know there's a general consensus in the fandom with the LIs all being girl dads but idk guys..For Xavier, sometimes i see him as a girl dad but other times, he seems more like a boy dad. Then i said fuck it! Xavier is now father to twins 😌 hope y'all like these HCs ♡
⭐ Dad Xavier who gets emotional and teary-eyed at the first sight of his twin babies because he always felt like a wandering soul with nothing to call his own. Yet now, he has you, and you've given him these adorable babies..all of whom he can call his family.
⭐ Dad Xavier who uses his light evol to create adorable characters when narrating a bedtime story to the twins.
⭐ Dad Xavier who tells scary stories when trying to get the kids to fall asleep at the proper time (like he did in that one Secret Times with MC 🤭)
⭐ Dad Xavier who often himself tends to fall asleep while trying to get the kids to sleep 😆
⭐ Dad Xavier who regularly takes the kids to the arcade and wins them all the plushies they ask for from the Claw Machine.
⭐ Dad Xavier who has managed to teach the kids the names of certain stars, constellations and planets as well as taught them random space facts.
⭐ Dad Xavier who is calm and collected in his tone but his blue eyes seem to glow when scolding the kids. Even you shiver at the intensity of his piercing gaze.
⭐ Dad Xavier who is a master at all the video games but loses on purpose to watch his kids giggle and jump in delight at beating their Daddy at the games.
⭐ Dad Xavier who is as fiercely protective of his babies as he is when it comes to you. Will fight the world for them and for you.
⭐ Dad Xavier who hugs the kids to sleep when they have a nightmare or just a bad day in general.
⭐ Dad Xavier who isn’t particularly fond of the kids going anywhere near weapons but knows that it's essential for his kids to have self-defense skills. And thus, when the kids are of appropriate age, you two together train the kids in proper combat and a weapon of choice (we've seen Xavier's excellent swordplay and with Mountain Journey, that he's also amazing with a gun)
⭐ Dad Xavier who joins the twins for a midnight snack and tries his best to defend them from your scolding.
⭐ Dad Xavier who watches the twins favourite movies with them late at nights during the weekends.
⭐ Dad Xavier who let's the kids mess around his piano, even teaches them a few easy tunes.
⭐ Dad Xavier who teaches the kids all sorts of ballroom dancing, from Foxtrot to the Waltz. These sessions often end with him asking your hand, and two of you ending up slow dancing at your home in the late hours of the night.
⭐ Dad Xavier whose kids accidentally come across Mommy's stash of Lumiere merch, and end up watching some old commercials and content with you two. The twins later on stare at Xavier with sparkly eyes full of admiration and ask if their Daddy is secretly a superhero 🥺 (that night Xavier almost burns your entire stash of Lumiere merch).
another post that's been collecting dust in my drafts for so damned long..i’ll probably share one for each LI at some point 🤞

Glass.
Bullet casings.
So much broken glass.
As you listen in the scattered silence, you’re careful to skirt around the tiny shards making an ocean out of your villa.
Well. It’s now more of a wreckage than a beautiful seaside vacation home, but nuances mean nothing when you’ve only used it to store an eighth of your arsenal.
And your fucking pink McLaren that’s now face down in the nearest reef.
You are going to end this man.
“Come out, my love…”
Fuck him for double-crossing right when you were getting along.
At least, you felt like you were.
Maybe it was just a lapse in judgment, and the last goddamn mistake you’ll ever make around Park Jimin—assassin, playboy, sole occupant of the top of your hit list.
“Your target’s on the run, you know.”
Of course you’re fucking aware. But he won’t trick you a second time.
As soon as he gets a clear shot, he’s taking it.
And despite rivulets of sweat and blood running down your arm and a fresh gash on your upper chest, you are poised to do the exact same.
“Shouldn’t you be following them? Awhh, wait, your ride What a shame.”
The gritting of your teeth almost gives you away.
Think.
Based on where you hear Jimin and the layout of your place, he’s somewhere around the foyer.
And hiding in an open hall next to your kitchen, there’s no way you can get him from where you’re poised.
So wait.
“What to do… Ah! I can call a taxi to pick you up! How does that sound?”
Wait, goddamn it.
Don’t fall for his shit.
Watch for any dark waves in the debris-riddled floor. Hold off until he’s in a good sight line.
Fuck, your wounds hurt.
Hot exhaustion warms your mouth as you wince, blood starting to harden along your slick skin.
“Or you can just let them get away. This would be Chance Zero, though, so. You’d end up getting a geo-bounty on your file… but it’s your decision!”
Breathe.
Geo-bounties aren’t too bad if they’re low.
Only when they evolve into Global status should you be worried. And that only happens if the Council deems it.
You’ve stayed on their good side… other than screwing up the missions Park Jimin has ruined.
“Come on, love.”
He sounds closer.
“Be a good girl.”
A lot closer.
Now you just have to wait until he… rounds the… corner.
…What happened?
Where the fuck did he—
Your body reacts before your mind does, ducking to avoid a strike into hard spackle.
Twisting, your forearm prevents the next swipe of Jimin’s blade as you retrieve your side dagger, and four boots trample the glass below in a violent dance of combat.
Above below swipe left dodge right parry parry lunge parry.
When you aim at his chest, your gun is quickly shoved, bullet firing into one of the last kitchen cabinets left standing.
And your opponent has the nerve to look appalled.
“You were gonna shoot me?”
All you do is tsk.
Clashes ring out again as you dart forward, and you go for a opening while mapping out how the hell you’re gonna catch up to your target before—
Fucking hell!
Chilling pain sears across your shoulder from the cut Jimin makes, and you half-stumble, half-crouch to avoid his killing blow.
Taking the risk and rolling across your favorite broken vase, you slide and fire again, the kickback hurting your arms like a bastard.
“Fuck!”
Finally.
Through slitted eyes, you can tell you just grazed Jimin’s thigh, and he collapses to a knee while you struggle to stand upright.
Crinkles of glass echo throughout the hall as you both haphazardly collect yourselves, with him breathing hard and you grunting through stinging pain.
Shit, he’s cursing like you’ve never heard before.
But you can’t let that distract you from your goal.
Up first, you aim your weapon just in time to face his expression.
Those wide eyes.
You have the perfect shot.
And yet…
You hesitate.
Time bends as you vascillate between decisions, your moral compass going haywire and refusing to align with any direction. Electricity fizzes and pops while another patch of your ceiling falls, but neither of you move.
Spare him. End it. Kiss him. Finish the kill.
Your heart squeezes the trigger.
And you fire at the light fixture above him before fast limping out to your garage.
Curses ring in the falling shards while you make your getaway, fingerpainting the walls with swift red strokes.
Get there get there get there.
Jimin won’t be far behind.
Ripping open the back door, you grit through the pain while swinging a heavy hand onto a glowing pad.
After the blooming beeps, you swipe in a password before hitting Floor, and find ponderous support on the door while you wait.
Breathe. Breathe. Holy shit, everything hurts. Breathe.
At your feet, the solid garage foundation slides open to reveal a car rising on a platform.
The other McLaren that Jimin didn’t launch off the nearest cliff.
Lamenting the leather interior already, you drag yourself to the drivers side with a series of groans, swiping a roll of wrappings and a couple gun magazines from a counter along the way.
Run run run.
He’s probably right behind.
In seconds, you’re zooming out of the driveway.
And with a bruised as fuck heart, you blast holes in Jimin’s motorcycle wheels for good measure.

Needles and Pins
Trouble saunters up to your workplace in a gas station in the middle of Nowhere Special, Southern U.S.A. Night after night, it comes armed with a charming smile and bared teeth. And despite knowing full well it's a bad idea, you just can't keep yourself from being lured in.
Rating: Explicit, NSFW 🔞 Fandom(s): Near Dark 1987, Abigail 2024 Pairing: Severen x AFAB!Reader x Frank/Adam Barrett Word count: 9.8K Content warnings: Canon divergence, DEAD DOVE: DO NOT EAT, dubcon, vampires, alcohol consumption, manipulation, hypnotism, physical assault, biting, blood drinking, making out, brief gun violence, reader makes some dumb decisions because of hypnotism and/or blood loss, threesome, grinding, blood kink, cunnilingus, vaginal fingering, handjobs, implied reader death, reader is AFAB but gender neutral AO3 Link: Here
Author's Note: Ohhhh baby this idea's been blooming since I saw a gifset comparing Near Dark's Severen and Abigail's Frank. They're so alike but so different it's insane, and the idea of getting tag-teamed by them was too fucking good to pass up. Plus it's Multi-May, an event run by my lovely friend @bisexual-horror-fan, so I figured - why not? Hope y'all enjoy reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it!!
It didn’t occur to you that the harbinger of your little town’s demise would be an old RV that was one pothole away from shuddering itself to pieces. You’d seen plenty of them over the years. Most folks who weren’t local were just passing through on their way elsewhere – stopping for the night to stretch their legs, to sleep, to grab gas or a drink or a pack of cigarettes, whatever. It’s just how it was living in a snoozy little town not far from a major highway. Plenty of people stopped for a while, but few ever lingered. So it was strange when they did. It made you suspicious.
But on the surface, there’d been nothing to suspect.
You’d been at the gas station counter just past midnight, scrolling through your phone, when they’d pulled up in a dirty RV that had to be decades old. A family of five. Had come from some other part of the South, judging by their accents. Three of them had come inside – an older man, a woman who seemed to be his partner despite being about twenty years younger, and a young boy you assumed was their son. The man had been the one to speak to you. He was perfectly polite, friendly, charming even. He’d introduced himself as Jesse. He and his family were roadtripping across the U.S. and had stopped to get gas, stretch their legs, and spend a couple days not cramped inside an RV.
You’d nodded politely as he’d spoken. Had rung up the gas and a couple magazines the kid had grabbed – none of the brightly colored kiddie ones. You hadn’t commented on it, kept your face as pleasantly friendly and neutral as possible. When Jesse has asked if there was a motel in this town, you’d given him directions. They’d paid in cash and left. And you hadn’t thought much of it, because it was the kind of story you’d heard about a hundred times. They’d stay for a couple days, realize there was fuckall to do here outside of sitting in a bar or sitting in a church or going to the grocery store, and they’d leave.
So what if their stares, hard and intense and glimmering with an unfathomable something, piercing like they could see through your skin to the veins and muscle and bone beneath, had lingered in your mind for the rest of your shift? So what if the kid glared at you with a simmering hostility and a calculatedness that felt distinctly wrong? So what if something in the back of your mind told you something wasn’t right about them?
You’d met plenty of folks passing by in this job. You’d met plenty of the friendly kind, and a few of the shadier kind. And you’d made a habit of listening to your gut when something felt off. Someone like you working largely alone in the dead of night couldn’t exactly take chances. So you paid attention to that prickle on the back of your neck, that curling unease in your stomach.
But the kid…. they were a family with a little boy. You’d brushed the unease off and gone back to scrolling through your phone to pass the time.
Then they’d come back around the next night, again past midnight. This time it was the kid and the two who’d stayed outside – a blond haired girl and a man wearing sunglasses, a leather jacket, and the kind of grin that set you on edge as soon as you saw it.
“Hey there.” You said the words with calm friendliness. “Can I help y’all?”
“I’m sure you can.” The man swaggered up to the counter with the confidence of someone who owned the place. You resisted the urge to cringe away.
You weren’t exactly the type to scare easy. What was wrong with you?
The girl and the kid were wandering, eyeballing shelves of candy and snacks without touching anything. They were siblings, maybe. Both blond like the woman from yesterday. Not like Sunglasses. He looked closer in age to –
Your attention snapped back to him as he stopped in front of you and propped an elbow against the counter. “What kind of ah…. fun do y’all get up to here? Got any bars, clubs…” His gaze flitted up and down your body. “….Strip clubs? Or is this more of a ‘grannies at town hall’ kinda place?”
You schooled your features back to neutrality despite the rising discomfort in your chest. “No clubs, adult or otherwise. Sorry.” You weren’t really. “There is a bar, though. It’s just down the road from the motel, actually. Surprised you didn’t see it earlier.”
“Well, yknow how it is. Kiddie-winkies keepin us busy n all that.” Sunglasses gave a vague wave toward said kids. The boy shot him a look of cold fury, while the girl seemed engrossed in reading the label on a packet of Nerds.
You gave him an obligatory nod. “Sure.”
The man studied you for a moment. After a beat of uncomfortable silence, he tipped his head and pulled off the sunglasses, then studied you again. His eyes were blue.
“Don’t suppose you’d be willing to show me round town, would ya?”
You blinked at the whiplash of this family’s oddness and Sunglasses now apparently coming onto you. Because that’s only what he could be doing. Ladies-man type. Alright. Sure. Not the first time it had happened.
“I don’t get off till seven a.m.,” you said apologetically. You’ll probably be gone by then, and I’ll be heading home to pass the fuck out, you didn’t say.
“Aw. Shame.” He tilted his head, eyed you up and down again. Like you were a strange little puzzle to figure out. Or a particularly interesting piece of meat. His smile turned cheeky and, if you were being honest, just a little bit strangely charming. “Don’t suppose I can convince you to skip the rest of your shift?”
Well. The idea was certainly tempting. “Not if I wanna pay the bills,” you answered instead.
He nodded and made a little hum. “Right. No mercy for the lil guy, huh? Well.” He straightened, flicking his sunglasses back on. The grin was sharp and feral again, and it poked at some ancient prey animal instinct far in the back of your brain. “Thanks for the directions, sugar. See ya round.”
And then they were gone.
You really hoped the kids hadn’t pocketed anything while you were distracted.
They were still in town days later, long after you’d expected them to leave. You only ever saw them at night, and even then, it was glimpses. Maybe that should’ve been strange to you, but you were something of a nocturnal creature yourself. Sleep all day, wake in the afternoon, work the night shift, come back home as the sun was rising and pass out soon after. Maybe they worked the night shift too, whatever it is they did. Though that didn’t explain the kids’ sleep schedule. It occurred to you that they should’ve been in school but hey, maybe they were homeschooled. It wasn’t your business. Maybe it should’ve set off alarm bells, but you knew better than to stick your nose where it didn’t belong.
But apparently Sunglasses had never learned that.
You’d been intending to grab some groceries and take them back home before your shift, but as soon as you stepped up the curb to head into the Harris Teeter, someone called your name and on instinct you turned around. And were met with a familiar face.
“Fancy meeting you here!” Sunglasses sidled up to you but notably didn’t make any physical contact. Points for that, you supposed.
“Well,” you said dryly, “I do live here.” You weren’t on the clock and didn’t have to have your customer service face on. You were free to say what you like, leave any time you like.
“Really? Thought you mighta been stuck haunting that place.”
“Stuck haunting a twenty-year-old gas station in this town? No fucking thanks. I’d rather drink myself to death,” you scoffed.
A delighted look sprang across Sunglasses’s face. “Sounds like a plan to me! How bout it? I’ll buy you a drink.”
Whoa whoa whoa, wait. You mentally backpeddled. “No – that’s not what – I have stuff I need to do before I clock in–” You weren’t exactly eager to get to work early, but neither were you eager to let a strange man buy you a drink.
“Aw, c’mon now.” He took off those sunglasses and met your gaze. “Just one drink. It’ll be quick.”
….He was pretty good-looking. He was the posterboy of tall dark and handsome, with the pale blue eyes, mussed black hair, and jawline. The leather and chunky rings gave a rougher edge to that prettiness. And there was something else about him – an erraticness, an unpredictableness, that was as enticing as it was unnerving. And really, how many other guys had tried to come onto you before, invasive and unappealing? How many of them had actually been truly tempting? Exactly none of them. And now that a guy like this, strange as he was, showed up and offered you a drink, were you really about to say no, even when you wanted to say yes, deep down? Were you really about to shoot down the only decent chance you’d gotten in this middle of nowhere Southern hell?
“Alright.” It just slipped out. It slipped out so easily it startled you.
Why would you say yes like that?
“Alright!” The man threw an arm around you and tugged you away from the grocery store parking lot – and towards the bar on the other side of the road. The bar you’d pointed out to him just days before.
Your head whirled. What the fuck? Why did you say yes? What had possibly compelled you to say yes to this stranger?
“I don’t. I don’t even know your name,” you stuttered.
His grin turned cheeky as he glanced down at you. “Severen. Feel free to wear it out much as you like.”
It was an astronomically bad idea to get involved with a total stranger. A total stranger whose smile gave you bad vibes. A total stranger who’d probably be leaving within a couple days. A total stranger who’d been so very eager to have your attention. There were red flags. He probably wasn’t involved in some drug or sex trafficking scheme, but you still didn’t know a damn thing about him. Severen. You wondered if that was the name he’d been given, or if it was something he’d chosen himself for the punk-cowboy thing he had going on.
And yet, despite your reservations, here you were. You weren’t usually so swayed by a pretty face, but something about those blue eyes had compelled you to say yes. And against all odds..... you were enjoying yourself.
Severen was engaging, to say the least. Intense. Energetic. Constantly in motion, even when he was sitting – moving his arms and hands animatedly as he spoke, bouncing his leg, fiddling with his sunglasses or his un-drunk glass of alcohol.
The longer you sat there and listened to him – the more you stared at him – the more you found yourself loosening your grip on caution. The more your reservations wilted away. You couldn’t even blame your drink, since there was no alcohol in it. He was just…. kind of fascinating. And energetic. He made you laugh. And despite your earlier misgivings, he was kind of sweet. He told you about his family. Apparently Jesse and Diamondback, the blond woman, had found him at a low point in his life and taken him in, provided him with food and shelter and company he hadn’t had in a long time. And they’d done the same with the two kids, Mae and Homer. They were a patched-up family who stuck together and took care of each other when no one else did. It was sweet. It brushed against something lonely and untouched in your heart. To have that kind of family, that kind of reliability…. you shoved down the pang of sheer want it stirred up.
You could not start wanting and getting attached like that. Not when they were just passing through.
Still. You couldn’t stop meeting his gaze. You quickly stopped minding how often his arm brushed against yours. And you very quickly started to idly wonder if there was room for a sixth in that beat up RV.
When your phone alarm pinged at 10:30 p.m., you didn’t want to leave the comfort of the bar and Severen’s scorching attention. You could hear the reluctance in your own voice as you said, “I should head to work.” But God, you didn’t want to. You almost hoped he’d ask you to skip out on your shift, like he had last time. You weren’t sure you’d be able to say no.
But instead he just fixed you with a smirk and said, “Prolly.” He waved you off as you reached for your wallet. “Don’t worry bout it, sugar. Drink’s on me.”
You hesitated. “Well. Thanks. This was actually really nice.” Please give me a reason to stay.
“Course.” His gaze flicked away from yours, down your figure, sizing you up again. Did he see anything different from the first time he’d done that? Did you…. feel something different from the first time?
You forced yourself to say, “See you round.”
“I sure will.”
You left the bar in a haze, as if slipping out of a dream. By the time you were clocking into your shift, reality had fully settled back in and left your body oddly heavy, limbs buzzing with the faint sensation of pins and needles. Doubt had come back in full force. About a dozen questions whirled around your mind all night. What the fuck had you been thinking? Why did you say yes to him? Why did you so desperately want to head back to the bar and find him again?
You kept a wary eye on the door for the entire night. But there wasn’t a single damn sign of life, even if you felt like something was watching you from beyond the bleached lights of the gas station. You were almost relieved as the sun peeked up from the horizon at the end of your shift. As if it would protect you.
As if it would shield you from whatever went bump in the night.
You kept running into Severen. You kept making bad decisions. He would take you to the bar or walk to work with you or come to the gas station and hang around like it wasn’t a public establishment you were supposed to be running. Every time you wanted to tell him to fuck off, every time you wanted to ask why he was still here and why he was stalking you, he’d make eye contact and the words would die on your tongue. He’d draw you in. He’d say something that made you smile or laugh or, God forbid, that made your face warm and your breath come a little too quick. Things were moving far too fast far too soon, and you knew it. Whenever he wasn’t around, you snapped back to reality and promised yourself that he wouldn’t reel you in again. You had to cut him off. Whoever he was, he was trouble. You could sense it. But then he’d pop up again and your resolve would instantly burn away – you’d forget why you wanted him to stop in the first place. He was hypnotizing.
Even now, eight days after they’d first come to town, you just couldn’t bring yourself to care that Severen was perched on the gas station counter, teasing you and making you giggle like a schoolgirl with a crush and completely distracting you from what you should be doing. Which was acting professional while there was a customer. Which you most certainly were not doing. He was making you fucking stupid, and you couldn’t care less.
The customer kept eyeballing you from out the side of his glasses. Embarrassment burned in your stomach. But you just couldn’t drag your attention away from Severen for more than a few seconds.
“Anyways, like I was sayin – Diamondback took one look at this sucker and just bout knocked his block clean off.” He whistled and you jumped when he snapped an arm out, as if punching an invisible attacker. He laughed at your reaction. “Knew from then on never to mess with that bitch.”
“She sounds pretty badass,” you admitted. You wondered what she’d think of you. After the initial meeting with Jesse, you’d spotted her wandering around the town at night, sometimes laughing and with her arm around a young blushing guy who’d moved to town a couple years ago. You wondered about that. Didn’t ask.
“Yeah, she ain’t half bad. Ole snake’s got one helluva bite, that’s for damn sure.” Severen paused, as if considering, then leaned over with a mischievous look. His lips brushed the shell of your ear. “I been told I got a good bite too.”
Oh you could not be thinking about that at the cash register. You ducked your head and furiously looked for something to do with your hands. Severen’s self-satisfied laugh – it was more of a giggle, really – just made your face warm more.
A magazine smacked down against the counter. You snapped your head up. The customer was staring at you with an unamused expression. The slicked-back hair and chain necklace and obvious impatience all just screamed douchebag, as if the words from his mouth didn’t say it loud enough. “If you lovebirds are done – can I check out?” Oh, and a Yank to boot. New York or New Jersey, if the accent was anything to go by.
“Sure thing,” you said with forced niceness.
“These too.” He tossed down a packet of spearmint gum and a bottle of iron pills. You nodded and rung them up.
You didn’t have to look at Severen to know he was sizing the customer up; the dirty look the customer was giving him in return was indication enough. You grit your teeth. Please don’t say anything. Please don’t start a fight. Please don’t –
“Got a problem?” Severen asked. The cheerfulness in his voice felt like the warning rattle of a snake. You sucked a breath in from between your teeth.
“Yeah, actually. Think you can fuckin move?”
For a second, you were certain Severen was going to just tackle him and start a fight then and there. But instead he hopped down from the counter and clapped a hand onto the man’s shoulder. That grin was still fixed on his face, but it was thin and sharp like a razor. “First come first served, Yankee.”
Something like disdain or anger flickered across the customer’s face, but you jumped in before he could say anything. “That’ll be twenty-four dollars and seventy-eight cents.”
The customer’s gaze bounced between you two, something unreadable in his shockingly blue eyes. He gave an annoyed huff, shoved Severen’s hand off, and rifled around his jacket pocket for a wallet. He tossed a twenty and a five down. “Keep the change.”
“Alright. Would you like a receipt?”
“No.”
You shoved the items in a shitty plastic bag and thrust it over the counter to him, accompanying the motion with a blithe smile. “Here you go. Have a nice night.”
“Uh-huh.” He paused before heading out, giving you a weird raised-eyebrow look. “Don’t let the fuckin bed bugs bite.” He said it obnoxiously, knowingly, like it should mean something. Your face heated as you recalled what Severen had whispered in your ear. Fucking asshole.
You waited till he was out of sight to turn your disapproving frown to Severen. The urge to melt and let it go was near overwhelming, but you shoved it aside. “What the fuck was that about?”
“Yankees ain’t got manners, that’s what.” Severen said it dismissively, tossing his head like a dog shaking off flies. Then he sprung over the counter and landed with a jostle of leather and buckles and spurs, and he popped up to full height with an expression that promised nothing good. The same expression he’d been wearing when he first set foot here. You startled back. He followed you.
“Since when do you care about that sort of thing?” Something rung in warning at the back of your mind, even as that fuzzy contentedness that came whenever you looked at Severen tried to smother it. Something was off.
“Aw, don’t be like that. Lookit me.”
Rough fingers curled around your jaw and tilted your head up. As soon as you made eye contact, the warning in your head went silent. The tension in your jaw and your brow and your body unspooled. You went limp, letting Severen herd you against the back wall and cage you in with his arms and his body. His head blocked the sterile glow of the neon lights, casting you in shadow. His breath settled against your lips.
“Now, aren’t you a pretty lil thing?” he murmured, all soft honeyed tones and Southern charm. You would’ve liked to have thought you were immune to that sort of thing, being in this business and all, but your heart hammered so loud in your ears and your throat that you couldn’t think straight. “Thought that since I first saw you. Thought to myself, ‘oh, well I could just eat this lil sweetheart up.’ Wouldn’t I be a lucky man?”
He laid a hand on your chest, just below your throat, fingers curling against your pulse as his thumb caressed your skin. The edge of his mouth twitched up in a smirk. “You scared? Excited?”
Your tongue felt heavy. Everything did, heavy and weightless at the same time. “Yeah,” was all you could get out.
“You weak in the knees for me? Lil heart aflutterin?” The hand at your neck had climbed to join the one at your jaw. He cradled you like something delicate. “You sweet on me?”
You managed a weak laugh. “Y-yeah.” That was one way of putting it. One way to describe whatever the fuck was going on with your body.
He smiled. Brushed his nose against yours. “Good. That’s good.”
“Severen.... please.....” You weren’t quite sure what you were pleading for. What, exactly, you wanted him to do. “Please.”
“Don’t you worry sugar. Imma make you feel real good.”
Lips pressed to yours. Slightly chapped and cool, but firm and relentless, a sweet moving pressure that had your head spinning even more than it already was. His body pinned you to the wall and his fingers tilted your head to the side, moving you how he pleased. He pressed his tongue into your mouth sooner than you would’ve expected. A helpless noise came from your throat. Heat shuddered down your spine. He kissed you deeply, languorously, as if he had an eternity to explore you.
A thought bubbled up from the back of your mind – what if a customer walked in on you? But then Severen was slotting a thigh between your legs and biting at your lower lip and you stopped thinking much at all. Your hands slid under his jacket, racking up his shirt and dipping along the curve of his spine as you explored smooth, cool skin. Or maybe you were just burning so hot that he felt cold in comparison.
You whined when he pulled away, only to sigh in relief when his mouth latched onto your neck. Wet, open-mouthed kisses and scraping teeth and one hand cradling your cheek as you tilted your head away and gave him better access. Fucking Christ he needed to stop being a tease. You squirmed and dragged his hips closer, sliding yourself on his thigh and biting back a sound of pleasure at the friction. One of his hands dropped down to brace your hip. He huffed a laugh against your skin.
“God, please Severen,” you breathed.
He hummed and pressed a kiss to your pulse. His fingers dug into your skin.
And then he bit you.
Not a playful nip. Not a hickey. A full-power clamp of jaws like a dog or an alligator biting down on its prey. Teeth tore through your skin, punctured clean through like you were butter left out in the sun. It knocked the breath right out of you. Pain exploded through your veins. Your body thrashed of its own accord. Your mind screamed awake.
A gunshot rang out. Severen yanked away from you, teeth ripping back out your neck. A cry of pain unlodged from your throat and you stumbled away, sliding down against the wall. Severen swung around and snapped bloody teeth at something beyond your line of sight. “What the FUCK–” Another gunshot. Severen yowled and his body jerked and buckled. He collapsed to the floor. You scrambled away from his body as his words ricocheted in your own mind. What the FUCK....?? Your breath sawed in and out from your chest far too quickly. Your head buzzed.
What the fuck had just happened?
There was the crunching of broken glass – when had one of the window panes been broken? – and a head peeked over the counter. Slicked back hair and glasses and ice blue eyes.
The customer from earlier.
You stared at him with what was probably a panicked, bug-eyed look. He stared back at you. Then his gaze drifted slightly to your left and his eyes darkened. “You’re uh. You’re bleeding.”
“Yeah.” Your voice came out raw. “He bit me.”
“Must’ve been one hell of a bite.”
“Yeah.” Was this really the time or place for this conversation?
You weren’t sure if you’d said that last part out loud, because the man grimaced and leaned over the counter, offering you a hand. You took it and tried not to think about the fact that yours was shaking. He yanked you up with ease then helped you clamber over the counter. There was a pistol in his other hand.
Your head swam.
“We should, uh, get you out of here.” The man shoved the gun into his waistband and glanced around. A hand snaked around your upper arm. Normally you would’ve pulled away, but you weren’t exactly confident in your ability to stay upright. Not when you were shaking and fucking bleeding from your neck as if you’d been bitten by a vam–
“Holy shit.”
The man gave you a look that was halfway between annoyed and alarmed. “What?”
“Did I just get bitten by a vampire?” you blurted. He grimaced again. You realized how that sounded. “No, I’m not – shut the fuck up, don’t look at me like that–”
“Oh come on–” For a guy who’d gone out of his way to save you and shoot the maybe-vampire-maybe-crazy-guy who’d fucking bitten you, he seemed pretty fucking fed up. “Here.” He grabbed a bottle of orange juice from one of the drink shelves and shoved it into your hands. “Drink the fuck up. We’re leaving.”
“We can’t leave the scene of a crime. There’s a fucking dead guy!”
“Yeah, unless he’s a fucking vampire, in which case I don’t think a bullet’s gonna do much to stop him.” He practically dragged you out of the gas station with him. You couldn’t exactly argue with his logic, even if the world was tilting around you and you were lightheaded and your thoughts wouldn’t stop sloshing around like soup inside your skull.
God, how the fuck was this even happening?
“Got somewhere we can hole up?” the man asked.
You almost blurted, Who’s we? Trusting a stranger was what had gotten you into this mess. Then again, he’d gone out of his way to save you. And even if a bullet didn’t do much to stop a vampire, you had to admit you felt marginally safer with a human shield. As awful as that thought was.
“Um.” You tried to collect your scattered brain. Took a gulp of orange juice and cringed at the bitter taste. “There’s a church that isn’t too far from here.”
“That’s not–” The man cut himself off.
You glared at him. “What?”
He gave you another annoyed look. You again debated yanking your arm away from him and walking yourself. Instead you took another sip of orange juice. You probably weren’t putting enough pressure on your neck.
“That shit probably doesn’t work. Hallowed ground and crosses and all that religious BS.”
“What? Why?” You frowned. “Don’t tell me your name is Van Helsing.”
He scoffed. “It’s Frank. And your little vampire buddy didn’t need to be welcomed into that shithole to get to you, so that’s probably a myth. And who the hell knows what else is a myth too, right? We could be wasting our fuckin time in a church.”
You strained to remember whether or not there had been a welcome sign on the door of the gas station. Working there for so long had made you blind to the details of the place. You tried twisting around to catch a glance of the gas station receding behind you, but Frank was pulling you along too quickly and had you in an iron grip. Shit, maybe he was right.
Another thought hit you. “Oh fuck,” you said aloud.
“What now–?”
“Will you shut the fuck up?” you snapped. “Severen, the fucking vampire, came here with four other people he calls family. I only ever see them around at night. They’re probably fucking vampires too.” A whole pack of vampires. Right under your goddamn nose. Then again, how were you supposed to expect something that wasn’t even supposed to exist?
“Oh, well that’s just peachy.”
You were walking down a cluster of buildings now, passing by the grocery store and the bar. Warm hazy lights cast an orange glow on everything and reflected off Frank’s glasses, obscuring your view of his eyes. His mouth was set in a flat, grim line. You couldn’t get a goddamn read on him, or why he was here, or why he was helping you. You didn’t want to look a gift horse in the mouth, but after Severen, your guard was firmly up.
But….
You sighed. “We can hide at my place. I never took Severen there.” Of course, there was always the possibility that he’d followed you at some point. But then why wouldn’t he have attacked you there rather than in public? You twisted around, trying to get a look behind you again. You didn’t see any angry leather-clad blood-stained guys tailing you. You didn’t see any bats. Did vampires even turn into bats? Fuck, who knew? At least at your place, you’d have kitchen knives. And garlic, if that worked. Did you have anything that could be used as stakes? Did that even work? You’d heard decapitation was a sure way to kill anything, but you doubted you had the physical strength or mental fortitude to cut through someone’s spine, even if the bastard had tried to kill you.
Ultimately, you did end up going to your place. Your hands were shaking hard enough that you had trouble getting your keys into the door, and Frank glancing out into the open empty night didn’t do anything to ease your nerves. Especially not when his hand was resting on the grip of his pistol. It just made you want to start scanning the tiny neighborhood too. But once the door was unlocked, Frank ushered you in, slipping in right behind you before you slammed the door shut and locked it again. And hooked up the extra chain lock too. Not that it would protect you from vampire super strength. You assumed that one was real.
You flicked on the lights, but Frank immediately shut them back off. Only half a protest escaped your lips before he interrupted. “Nope. As far as anybody else is concerned, no one’s home.”
“Fine. Just give me a second.” You flicked the lights back on long enough to check the analogue clock hanging in the living room. “It’s just past three-thirty. We still have a few hours before sunrise. We can stay here until it’s light out, assuming that one’s real.” You hadn’t seen Severen or any of his pack out in the daylight. You were pretty sure that one was real, but now Frank had you second-guessing every bit of vampire fiction you’d ever seen.
But Frank just said, “Yeah. I’d say that’s a pretty safe bet.”
“Yeah. Okay.” You nodded dumbly. Stared at the faint outline of his face in the darkness. Christ on a stick. You were stuck with this guy until then. Another stranger. A stranger with a gun, no less.
Fuck.
“Alright. You close the blinds. I’ll do something about this.” You gestured to your neck. It had stopped bleeding, but you were damp and sticky with your own blood. “We can, I dunno, rub garlic around the door and windows afterwards?”
“You really think garlic’s gonna work?” Frank said doubtfully.
“I don’t fucking know!! You figure something out, Mister fucking Van Helsing! I’m gonna go deal with the fucking bite on my fucking neck.” You beelined for your bedroom and left him to his own devices. Hopefully he’d trip over something in the living room, the fucking douchebag.
You grabbed a change of clothes then stepped into the bathroom. There were no windows in the closet-sized space, so you closed the door, locked it, and flicked the light on. Through your squinting at the sudden brightness, you caught a glimpse of your reflection.
Jesus Christ, you looked like a walking corpse.
Okay. That was fine. That was expected. Whatever.
You stripped and dumped your bloodied clothes onto the floor. Jumping in the shower probably wasn’t the best move when you had a possible vampire thirsting after you and a stranger with a gun in your house, so you went with a dampened towel instead. When you’d cleaned up most of the blood, you dropped the towel onto the pile of your soiled clothes. You tried not to wince at the idea of throwing them away. The shirt and towel probably weren’t salvageable.
Not that that mattered right now. You were busy examining the bite mark on your neck. Miraculously, it had stopped bleeding on its own, though blood welled if you poked it too roughly. It had hurt at first. Now it was just weirdly, worryingly numb. The teeth marks were deep and torn, hadn’t pierced through cleanly and had probably been jostled as you’d struggled against Severen. But it was definitely a bite mark. And it definitely wasn’t a normal human one. The thought made you a little woozy, to be honest. You crouched down, and the rush of blood being forced back up made your head spin.
This couldn’t be real. This could not be real, and it could not be happening to you right now specifically. This was fucking insane.
You reached for the small medical kit under the sink. How the fuck any of this worked, you couldn’t be sure, but cleaning the bite mark and slapping a plaster on it couldn’t make things any worse.
Vampires bit humans to turn them into vampires. But they usually had to feed the human their own vampire blood to actually turn them. That’s how it went in Interview with a Vampire and Dracula, right? And that hadn’t happened to you. So you were good. Right? Probably? The feeding blood thing was something vampire fiction generally agreed upon. That was probably real.
But wait, Dracula was actually able to go into the sun in the original book. It only weakened him. Shit, what if the bursting into flames in daylight thing was made up? Your heart dropped at the thought. Although, no, you hadn’t seen Severen or the rest of his pack during daylight hours. And an RV could be a pretty good place for vampires to hide if they blocked out all the windows. Okay then, that one seemed like a safe bet. You weren’t so sure about garlic. That one sounded pretty silly. And as much as you hated to admit it, Frank was probably right about vampires not needing to be invited in. So you couldn’t count on that to protect you. And what about religious iconography? You weren’t sure you had anything in your house for that anyway. Fucking hell. You’d been thrust into a world you didn’t understand and didn’t know the rules to. And you had to keep yourself alive because of it. Well, yourself and Frank.
Even if the garlic seemed silly, it couldn’t hurt either. And surely you had something around the house that could be used as a stake. Unless it had to be wood.... did it have to be a particular kind of wood....?
“Fuck,” you muttered to your reflection. Maybe Frank would have some ideas.
You finished cleaning up and getting dressed, and then you headed back out. “You see anything weird?” you asked as you opened the bedroom door. And stopped. Squinted in the darkness.
The living room was empty.
“....Frank?” Your heartbeat thumped in your ears as you peered into the kitchen. He wasn’t there. “Frank? Are you–”
Something grabbed you from behind. A hand muffled your shriek before it could leave your throat. You thrashed and kicked and bucked like an animal as you were dragged. Your elbow jammed against something solid. A grunt of pain hit your ear.
Then you were tossed onto the bed. The mattress softened the harshness of the fall, and you jerked upright immediately. You scrabbled for a weapon as a figure filled your doorway. Tall wiry gleaming glasses outline of a jacket –
“Sev–”
He pounced onto you and you shrieked again. Clawed and writhed and–
It wasn’t Severen. It was Frank. With a mouthful of sharp teeth baring down at you. Oh fuck.
“Now what are the chances of that, huh?” he sneered. “Getting attacked by two different vampires in one day? Talk about bad luck.”
“GET OFF!” You renewed your struggles, but that brief moment of shock had given Frank all the time he’d needed. He had you caged against the bed, grabbing your arms and pinning you down with his bodyweight. “No!!”
“Fraid this just isn’t your day.” He said it so cruelly, so carelessly, like you were little more than a beetle under his shoe. Tears pricked your eyes. God, you were so fucking stupid, you’d fallen for the same fucking shit again.... “Tears? Really? Now? We’re just getting to the good part.”
“Fuck you,” you gritted out.
He laughed softly. You jerked under him again, but he remained immovable. “Maybe in another life. Now. Hold still.”
He leaned in, teeth bared and breath puffing against the other side of your neck. “NO!” you screamed. You threw every ounce of energy in your body into heaving against him. One of your knees hit his gut. The air rushed out of him and he doubled over. You yanked a hand out of his grip and blindly grabbed something from the bedside table and smashed it against his head. He toppled to the side. You shoved him off and bolted.
You didn’t even make it to the bedroom door. A hand was on your arm and you were spinning and then you were on the mattress again, this time with Frank shoved up behind you and pinning you to the bed, your back to his front and your face pressed against the sheets. You hollered, half-muffled. He wrestled with your flailing arms.
“Not so fucking fast, bitch,” he spat in your ear. “I haven’t eaten in weeks. I’ve been buying my time on fucking gas station iron pills, but now that I’ve got live, squirming prey? You’re not getting away from me that easy.”
You snarled some combination of words at him. You weren’t even sure what. But you writhed and jerked and flailed and didn’t let up for one second, even as he pressed against you and swore at you.
“Yknow,” a familiar voice drawled, “it’d be easier if you hypnotized em. Right?”
You both froze. You turned your face to stare at the bedroom entrance.
Alive and well, leaning against the doorjamb with one leg crossed in front of the other, mouth and shirt smeared with blood that looked black in the darkness – Severen. Sunglasses and all. Very much not looking like a man who’d been recently shot.
Your heart plummeted. Despair like nothing you’d ever experienced washed through your body, cold and stinging like alcohol.
“The fuck you mean ‘hypnotized’?” Frank said. He didn’t sound smug anymore. Just pissed.
A disbelieving laugh burst out from Severen. “You don’t know about that? Ohhh I get it now!! Well I’ll be damned!!” He took a step forward, practically sauntered. “You’re a newbie, aren’t ya? You ain’t figured out all the perks yet! Yknow what else you ain’t figured out yet, newbie?” Another step forward. A sliver of light from the bathroom – you’d forgotten to turn the light off you’d just closed the door you’d been in such a rush – hit his sunglasses and illuminated the edge of a smile and blood-splattered skin. His voice turned sharp and low like you hadn’t heard before. “You don’t steal another vamp’s prey.”
Frank flinched behind you. You saw Severen move, but it took another second to figure out what else you were seeing. A pistol, gleaming and old-fashioned, aimed at Frank. It might’ve brought you relief in any other circumstance, but here, now, aimed at a vampire....?
“This might not kill you, but I can assure you, it hurts like a bitch.” Severen flashed his teeth at the both of you. “So how bout this, son? I’ll be the bigger man and let you go, and you fuck off into the night and never cross my way again. But first, and here’s the fun part – we share this lovely lil sweetheart here between the two of us. And if you say no, well,” he laughed cheerfully, “I’ll shoot ya and drink up by myself, and then I’ll make you regret stumblin into an elder.”
You couldn’t breathe. Two options. Neither of which ended with you still having a pulse.
“So!” Severen wiggled his free hand through the air. “What’ll it be?”
The following pause was heavy and lasted far too long. Please say no. Please refuse him. Please fight him or try to disarm him or fuck up and give me a chance to escape, please, God, please....
Frank sighed through his nose. “You know what? Fine. Fine! Whatever. As long as I get something out of this clusterfuck.”
The words triggered something in your brain, that primal drive to survive. You yelled and thrashed, hoping to catch him off guard and fling him off. He just hissed and squeezed your arms till your bones felt like they were about to snap. You cried out in pain. Tears blurred your vision.
“You wanna help me out here or what?” Frank asked Severen.
“Sure thing, partner!” The words dripped with saccharine venom. He neared the bed and reached up to his sunglasses. Hypnotism. Cold fear doused you.
“NnnNOOdon’tyoufuckindare!” You squeezed your eyes shut and turned your head away. Severen’s laugh twisted your insides unpleasantly.
“Aw now don’t be like that!” You heard shifting fabric, the creak of leather and jingle of a dozen pins and badges. Fingers forced their way under your chin and tugged at you, trying to coax you towards him as rings dug into your cheek. You struggled to resist. Clamped your jaws together and strained your neck muscles so hard it felt like something was about to pop. “I said, don’t be like that.” Nails dug into the skin at the back of your neck, piercing and hurting and lancing pain through your nerves. It shocked you into relenting, and Severen twisted your head towards him with a noise of approval. You screwed your eyes shut tighter. He tsked at you. “C’mon now, open up for Sev.”
“Here, let me,” Frank said from behind you. He yanked you away from the bed and clasped your upper arms in a near bone-breaking grip. You had no time to recover before he bit you and agony ripped through your neck and shoulder. On instinct your body arced, strained, tried to pull away from the pain as your eyes snapped open of their own accord. And then there were fingers around your chin, roughly yanking you down, forcing you to meet eyes the color of the afternoon sky –
“Relax, sweetheart. The three of us’re gonna have some real fun tonight.”
The effect was instantaneous. Something fuzzy and hazy wrapped around your thoughts. Even as you struggled, your body loosened, and your thrashing weakened to a soft writhe. You bit down on your own tongue till blood filled your mouth. Focused on the pain, the hurt, the agony radiating from your tongue and your jaw and your neck and your arms, and refused to let yourself get swept up in the stupor. You were not doing this, you were not letting this happen, you were not going down without a fight. If they wanted you, they’d have to fight tooth and fucking nail, you swore it to any God that was fucking watching.
“Jesse likes to go on about how this sorta thing is really more the power of suggestion than actual hypnotism. Accordin to him, hypnotism ain’t even real.” Severen said it casually, as if commenting on the color of the walls or the softness of the pillows, even as the dog-like tilt of his head revealed the predator in human skin. “Which is real funny comin from the walkin talkin livin dead. But point is, lil sweetheart’s still gonna be struggling if you don’t do it right. Get off newbie.”
Frank unlatched from your neck. You whimpered in pain, tried to pull away, but your body responded only weakly.
“What?” He sounded almost as bleary as you felt.
Severen cackled. “Don’t know how to make it feel good yet either, huh? Whoever vamp daddy is did a piss poor job at teachin you the ropes. Scoot over. Let a professional handle it.” He cupped your neck and ripped off the plaster you’d placed over his bitemark.
A bitemark on each side, you thought through the fuzz. Now you were all evened out.
Teeth pierced through your flesh for a third time that night. It hurt. It hurt. You tried to put up a struggle despite the weight of your limbs and the lightness of your head. Pleading words and cries fell from your mouth. They went unheeded. Severen sucked at your skin and lapped up your blood – yes, this was really happening, this was what they were going to do to you – and your head swam. Your shoved at him weakly, but you might as well have been shoving at a brick wall.
This was it. End of the line. A lamb to the slaughter. Bottom of the food chain.
Your thoughts and emotions tangled together, fueled by the rush of pain and adrenaline and blood loss. Something crept through your veins. A chill spreading outwards under your skin. Death. This is what it felt like to die, you were sure of it, and all you could do was wait for it to overtake you.
.....Except.
It wasn’t. It didn’t. It was something else. Something started to replace the pain and the despair, something that was warm and liquid and buzzing. It filled your senses and glowed in your chest and trickled further down, dangerously down.
It felt.... good.
Awareness flooded your senses, hyperawareness of every little detail and sensation. The light spilling from the bathroom, casting the scene in lurid suggestive shadows and slivers of amber. Severen’s teeth buried in your neck, his lips closed around your skin as if working a permanent hickey into your throat. How he cradled your head so sweetly and dragged a hand down your side. Frank’s breath on your ear and your cheek and your neck, the proximity of his lips. Both of them solid and pressed against the length of your body, immovable and caging you in and supporting your body weight as your legs buckled beneath you.
How could you have been afraid? How could you have run and cried and screamed when it felt like this? You shifted against them, searched desperately and half-mindedly for some sort of movement. You might have whimpered. Or moaned. You weren’t entirely sure.
Severen unlatched from your neck but didn’t go far. You could feel him smiling against you. “Didn’t I tell you it’d feel good? All that struggling for nothin.” You mm-hmmed as enthusiastically as you could, despite the intoxicating headiness unfolding in your body and making you dizzy.
Frank’s exhale brushed against your ear. You shuddered. “How the hell did you do that?” he murmured. Some distant part of you wondered the same.
“Ain’t rocket science.” Severen licked at the gouges of your bitemarks. Sparks of pleasure flew under your skin.
At some point you’d started squirming. You wanted that feeling, that friction from when Severen had pushed his thigh between your legs at the gas station and you’d ground against him. That felt like a lifetime ago. Like a dream. You wanted it back. You wriggled your hips and got a response from the both of them. Frank made a low choked noise in the back of his throat and one of his hands flew to your side, nails digging through the fabric of your shirt. Severen sucked in a breath and tipped his head back. His throat worked enticingly as he ground back against you. Oh fuck that felt good. You gasped and grabbed Severen’s shoulders to steady yourself. And tried desperately not to sound like a dog in heat as you writhed against them.
You were too warm, burning up. Aching and struggling to breathe. Hands slid along what parts of your body they could reach, mouths and tongues and teeth pressed against your neck.
The thought of being consumed no longer seemed so terrifying. The mental image of them tearing into you, bloodying and messing themselves with you, teeth gnashing and throats working and tongues exploring your veins and arteries and snapping them like rubber bands was so visceral, it made you clench around nothing.
Eat me alive eat me alive please God devour me.
Between one moment and the next, you’d been dragged to the bed. Frank was behind you still, holding your back to his chest. He grabbed your waist and pulled you flush against him, and when you rocked against the hardness pressed to your ass, you were rewarded with a stuttered groan. You couldn’t even remember why you’d been annoyed at him. He was making such delicious little noises because of you, was grinding against you with the desperation of a man who hadn’t been touched by anyone else in years. How long would it take him to cum in his jeans just from this?
Your attention was abruptly, fully drawn away when Severen dropped to his knees in front of you. Enough light bled out from the bathroom to let you see the fresh blood smeared across his face, overlapping the dried splatter from before. His eyes glinted in the dimness. He looked like a predator. He was a predator. But you couldn’t find it in yourself to be afraid, not when he was pushing your thighs apart and running his fingers up to the hem of your jeans. He thumbed the button. At this angle, the way he looked up at you through dark eyelashes was absolutely obscene.
“How bout this? He drinks you, and I eat you. Sound fair?”
Lust hit you like a physical force.
Frank dropped his head down to your shoulder and licked at the bloody bite mark he’d made. “Yeah, alright. Sounds fair.”
You had enough time to catch a flash of teeth from Severen before he was undoing your jeans and dragging them off you and taking your underwear with them. It took a tangle of limbs and wandering hands to maneuver your body, but then you were bare and exposed and you suddenly realized how wet you were. How wet you’d been the entire time they’d been manhandling you. Heat flared in your cheeks and deeper in your guts.
“Well, lookit this,” Severen purred. “All this for lil ole me?”
“You?” Frank muttered against your skin.
“Was my idea.” And then his mouth was on your exposed cunt and Frank was sinking his teeth into you and it was so much, it was too much, it was near overwhelming. Pleasure shot through you so intense it made your body jolt from the force of it. Your heart pounded in your throat where Frank’s mouth met your skin. He kept grinding against your ass as he drank. He pushed your shirt up and explored the expanse of your body, every dip and fold, teasing and testing every inch of sensitive flesh. All while Severen’s tongue lavished your clit, warm and wet and fucking relentless. He drank up your arousal like that alone would sustain him. His tongue swept tight little circles over your clit and then dipped down between your folds, back up to your clit, and he did it again and again until your thighs were shaking and you were twisting your fingers into his hair. The hot pressure of his tongue and his fingers digging into your thighs and Frank clutching you and sucking on your neck was all too intense. You shuddered and jerked and panted from the pleasure. You were burning, coiling tight, about to shake apart from it all. You had no idea what you were or weren’t saying.
Fuckfuckfuck, it needed to stop but you didn’t want it to, please don’t stop fuck oh God please –
Frank pulled his teeth from your neck to press sloppy open-mouthed kisses to your skin, smearing the blood already drenching you. His lips were slick, the prick of teeth a promise. “Fuck, you taste good,” he slurred, words barely more than a growl. He rolled one of your nipples between his fingers. It was all you could do not to cry out.
And then you did cry out as Severen’s teeth pierced your inner thigh. Fresh blood joined the slick mess between your legs. You rolled your hips forward against the fingers Severen had shoved into your cunt and the thumb he’d pressed firmly to your clit, and then you continued the motion backwards to grind against Frank’s still-clothed bulge. It hit you so perfectly you wanted to cry, and maybe you did. It was impossible to tell with the onslaught of sensation. Half-blind, you grabbed Frank by the hair and yanked him up. His protest was cut off when you slammed your lips against his and swallowed the noise. He opened to you with a broken moan. You ran your tongue along his teeth. The coppery tang of blood made your insides curl with disgust just as much as it had you riding Severen’s fingers. You pricked yourself on Frank’s teeth. Sharp pain, the taste of blood, and then he was grabbing the back of your neck and devouring you, teeth and tongue and frenzied need, kissing you like it was his salvation and your demise. It probably was. And God, you wanted nothing more.
A new hand at your neck urged you away from Frank. You turned your head. Severen was leaning up, eyes-half lidded. “Oh, you sure fuckin do. Blood and pussy taste like heaven.” He pulled you in and you kissed him too, tasted your blood and arousal and you moaned into him. Frank nipped at your neck, dragged his hips against yours. Severen’s fingers were still curled inside you.
You were going to explode. You were going to die. You were going to irreversibly shatter apart and it was going to be messy and it was going to feel so fucking good that you wouldn’t even mind.
The sound of a belt and a zipper shot through you like lightning. You were pulled up onto your knees and they both came up with you, Severen in front and Frank behind, pressed against your bloody and sweaty and spit-soaked body. Frank shifted behind you and his tip pressed against your aching cunt. Between Severen fingering you open and the fluids coating your thighs, he was able to slide in with ease. You choked on the feeling, the relief from the emptiness and the fullness of him inside you. An experimental thrust had you doubling over against Severen, which just made his thumb rub harder against your clit. The next thrust hit you even deeper.
You felt sick. Sick with desire, in pain from arousal.
You only belatedly realized you’d reached for Severen’s belt, shaking hands pawing at the clunky metal buckle. He laughed at you but helped anyway. When you curled your blood-slickened fingers around him, his eyes practically rolled into the back of his head and his jaw went slack. He thrust into your hand with barely-restrained desperation. The dual motions were uneven, jolting and frenzied, but then you slid into a rhythm and the three of you writhed in tune. Moans and huffs, cries of pleasure from you and a tear-dampened face. You jerked Severen off as he punished your clit, as Frank fucked into you, as you lost what was left of your mind. You kissed them and they switched between kissing and biting and sucking and licking you. There was so much blood. All of it yours. You couldn’t care.
You seized in pleasure when they bit you at once, teeth buried in either side of your neck, four hands playing you like a finely tuned instrument. Sobs wracked your throat from how good it was. They used your body like a doll, kept moving until their own release was spilling into your hand and filling you up. Kept moving after that, chasing every wretched bit of pleasure in your bodies until the pain had returned and you could no longer tell it apart from the pleasure.
When they finally blessed you with mercy and released you, your body fell limply to the bed. Your limbs were dead, useless, body entirely wrung out. Your head swam and muffled ringing filled your ears. Colored dots danced along the ceiling, nearly obscuring the two bloodied faces peering down at you.
“Thanks for the fun times, sugar.” The words were muffled, as if coming from underwater. You couldn’t bring yourself to respond. Couldn’t make yourself get up, move, do anything. Why was that bad....? You were so tired. Too hot and too cold and impossibly tired. The bed was heaven underneath you.
The faces were saying something, but you couldn’t hear them. Didn’t want to.
You let your eyelids slide shut.
The darkness was a blessing.

Resident Evil 4
(M/n) stumbled as he got back on his feet, the wound above his brow was gushing blood very rapidly, making him grow dizzier the longer it passed. He blinked a couple of times, trying to focus his sight ahead, his feet struggling to make him stand up again, his arms trembling as they pushed his torso off the ground.
Grunting in pain, (M/n)'s blurry sight was soon met with a pair of military combat boots, he gritted his teeth as he refused to believe this is where he dies, under the hands of the man he once trusted with his life.
"Poor, poor lieutenant," the man bent his knees and reached his hand to hold (M/n)'s chin in his hand, the sadistic glint in his eyes made (M/n)'s stomach turn, watching how his smirk grew wider, "Time to say goodbye."
The last thing he saw was Krauser's fist inching closer to his face at an alarming velocity, and if even he wanted, he couldn't dodge the punch that landed on his face, knocking him unconscious soon after.
//////
The feeling of his head throbbing woke him up, but he couldn't open his eyes, and he couldn't move either. The swinging of his body side to side made him realize that he was being carried like a potato sack, hearing the quiet humming of Krauser's voice as he took him somewhere he didn't know.
The sound of a big door reached his ears, soon entering a room with a nice echo, it sounded like the room was pretty much empty, and (M/n) still continued trying to open his eyes, tried to fight Krauser's grip off his body, but it was useless, his body was numb, his head throbbing, he couldn't feel half of his face and he definitely didn't have the energy or strength to take on Krauser at the time.
So he stayed there, completely quiet, trying to remain somewhat conscious.
"Where'd you want 'im?" Krauser asked to someone in the room with them, and (M/n) was frightened for a moment, they hadn't made a single sound so they never made themselves present to (M/n)'s hearing.
"Over there," a raspy, horse voice said, and Krauser groaned a positive response as he continued to take him away to wherever he was taking him. The squeaky sound of wheels echoed in the room, and he soon was laid on what he recognized as a hospital gurney, then footsteps getting closer to him after Krauser walked away got him on edge.
"It's time to join us, my child."
He felt something sharp and cold pressing against his neck, pressing until it pierced the soft skin and he could feel how something slithered its way inside his body.
"It's just a matter of time before you become one of us," he felt an icy cold hand pressing against his forehead, moving his hair away, before turning around and leaving him all alone in that cold room.
He's not sure for how long he remained conscious, but he ended up giving up on keeping himself awake.
//////
The car ride was silent as he looked out the window, getting a view of the place he was approaching.
His mind raced over the same words, like a song getting stuck in your head, one that you can't get rid of.
"Whilst rescuing the president's daughter is your main priority, the higher-ups want you to get any idea as to what happened to Lieutenant Colonel (L/n), Leon, can you do that?" He had responded that he will do what he can, but he knew he was gonna go look for whatever he needed to know his superior's whereabouts.
He heard both cops talking amongst themselves, understanding bits and pieces of their conversation, it varied from paperwork, annoying superiors back at the office, football, and then him, but Leon just ignored them, remembering that he was gonna be dropped off near where (M/n) had his last communication before going M.I.A.
Images flashed across his mind, all the moments he got to spend time with (M/n) when he had just been recruited, yet being assigned under Major Krauser's command to assist his training. It had been a while since he saw any of them, being occupied with their own missions and tasks ahead. One of which he was assigned after (M/n)'s sudden dissaperence almost two weeks ago.
He was just hoping that he was still alive, even if Leon knows how capable (M/n) was of taking care of himself, something didn't sit right with him about the whole situation.
And damn, sometimes he wishes to be wrong about his gut feelings.
//////
Krauser walked into the camera room where Saddler had been observing the American forastero killing everyone in sight, no second thoughts about them, and Saddler was incredibly mad about it, not caring anymore if he had also been blessed and was allowed to carry the same sacred body as them.
The scarred blond observed the cameras and recognized that "precious" rookie of (M/n)'s.
"So that bastard was sent here, huh?" Saddler turned to look at Krauser, who leaned against the door frame, looking into the screen with hatred burning in his icy blue eyes.
"So you know who he is?" Krauser scoffed, and glanced back at (M/n) who was laying on the same hospital gurney, completely immovable as he stared seemingly into the void. He had turned into nothing but a lifeless puppet, and yet, his body hasn't shown signs of La Plaga spreading.
But it was there, especially noticeable when Saddler talked to him, his eyes would turn bright red, and black veins would crawl up his neck momentarily, before returning back to his catatonic self.
"That bastard," Krauser pointed at the screen where Leon was shown, "Was that bastard's favourite recruit," he continued nodding his head toward (M/n), "Makes me sick," he grunted with gritted teeth.
Saddler looked at (M/n) and observed the images la plaga had copied from the parts of his memories it's managed to gather, and he witnessed from (M/n)'s eyes how much he cared for that young man, always there to guide and help him, providing the comfort he longed for.
"Ooh, how amazing it'll be," Krauser looked at Saddler with a questionable look on his face, "To betray that trust..." He spoke while walking closer to (M/n), "Take him to that forastero, he'll be the ace under my sleeve."
Something about the thought of having (M/n) against Leon made him almost burst out laughing, moving to stand right next to Saddler, as he started controlling (M/n)'s movements, maintaining eye contact with his now red eyes.
"Your new mission... Is to kill Leon Kennedy, child," (M/n) stood up with wobbly legs and bowed to Saddler.
"Yes, sir."
His new order had reached la plaga inside him, being taken away by Krauser as soon as Saddler allowed him to.
//////
Leon was beyond stressed, but he was still determined to complete the mission, but right now, he had to find Ashley, maybe on his way to her he'll be able to get a better lead on what had happened to (M/n).
He just hoped that the ride in the underground mines with Luis could help him with that.
The lift ride was quick, and somehow a blur to Leon, since the first thing he saw when he turned around was Luis falling on the ground, the silhouette of a muscular man approaching him as he crouched to pull the dagger out of Luis' back.
The encounter with Krauser was anything but pleasant, yet somehow his body was able to remember his attacking and blocking patterns, including the one movement that (M/n) taught him to be able to win against Krauser in a 1v1 fight.
And the scarred blond wasn't happy about it. He scoffed and frowned, jumping and landing behind Leon quicker than he could react, but before he could remotely get closer to his vital point, the sound of a gun being fired caught them off guard. They both turned and saw that Luis had gathered enough strength to take his gun out and pull the trigger to save Leon, Krauser let out a dry chuckle and retrieved his dagger, jumping and landing on an elevated surface, about to return the way he came before stopping and glancing down at Leon over his shoulder.
"Oh! I almost forgot!" He chuckles again, but it's a sinister chuckle that makes Leon grip the handle of his pistol on instinct, "I left a gift for you, rookie, you better find him quickly, the clock is ticking and the oxygen is running out," with a boisterous laugh he left.
Leon ran toward Luis, spending his last moments with him, watching as he exhaled his last breath, the lit cigarette falling out of his parted lips, the lit end landing on the pool of blood that had formed underneath him, turning itself off.
Placing Luis' lighter back in his its hand, Leon said goodbye to the Spanish male and took a deep breath, standing up and looking around the place he was.
Krauser's words resonated in his head again, the vague mention of a 'him' being here, as a gift for him...
Leon had no idea how long had Krauser been in Spain, but if his gut feeling was right again, then he must be-
"(M/n)?!" He screamed whilst he ran around looking everywhere he could think of, "Where could he...?" He stood still and his eyes caught sight of a pile of scattered crates, and one stood out the most. It was slightly bigger than the others, but it also had 'LEON' engraved on the wood, obviously done with a sharp object. Like a knife, or a dagger, "Lieutenant!" He screamed once again, running toward the wooden crate as fast as he could.
He rushed to push off the smaller crates on top of the lid, his hands trembling as he opened it, observing the poor state (M/n) was in.
"Sir!" Leon struggled to pull (M/n) out of it, falling on the floor with his arms wrapped around him, "Sir, sir!" He yelled as he sat up, shaking his superior with a desperate tone in his voice, " Please, wake up!"
As he came back to life, (M/n) took a sharp breath in, coughing some dust and dirt that had gotten in his mouth and nose, his hands gripping onto Leon's chest strap and skintight shirt.
Looking up, (M/n) made eye contact with Leon's worried eyes, a glint of relief at seeing him alive and in his arms.
"Leon...?" (M/n)'s voice was grumble-y and hoarse, blinking slowly and looking at him as if he was nothing but a hallucination.
"Hello, sir, it's nice seeing you again," he responded with a hint of a smile on his face, making him look even prettier than usual. His blue eyes trailed down (M/n)'s body, blushing a cute pink when he realized that his clothes were in a less-than-ideal shape. His shirt had ripped open where he could see knife cuts, showing off part of his abdomen and chest, the jacket he wore wasn't looking its best, but it seemed to be covering more ruptures in his clothing, which Leon was glad for.
This was definitely not the time nor place to be feeling like this about his superior.
//////
Every few meters they walked, Leon had to look back at (M/n) who didn't seem to be in peak shape, which he could understand after everything that he has gone through, he could imagine (M/n) going through worse until he found him.
And that lead him to the question... What happened to (M/n) after his last communication with base?
Hopping together in the fancy-looking cable car on their way to the clock tower, Leon stares at (M/n) as the male swung side to side very slightly, hardly noticeable, he almost seemed in a trance. "What happened, sir? When you came here?"
(M/n) blinked once, twice and his eyes opened wide, a wince leaving past his lips when he saw the images of what had happened. The images were blurry, and he could feel his blood boiling inside him, the knowledge of what was in him remained in his mind, something he was ordered to keep to himself by Saddler.
But why was he following his orders anyway?
That quiet thought was the first step to breaking the chain connecting him to Saddler through la plaga.
He clenched his jaw, closed his hands tightly, and approached the gold edge, leaning over to observe the night sky.
"I was following the lead to finding Ashley, and I met up with Krauser before I reached the village..." He trailed on because he wasn't exactly sure what happened after that, "He... He ambushed me and took me away, I don't remember much after that," he looked back at Leon, who was frowning at the information provided, "Sorry, Leon."
Leon watched how (M/n) smiled at him, that same gentle and understanding, comforting smile he always showed him, his hand raising to slowly move a stray lock of blond hair away from his face. Something about (M/n)'s actions and the way he looked at him made his heart race, he just felt like when he first met the male, flustered, intimidated, and safe. A weird and odd combination of feelings, but (M/n) managed to cause those in him, and many more.
(M/n) had always treated him right back when he was first recruited for this "special agents" training, and whilst Krauser was the one beating the shit out of him until he learned, (M/n) taught him in a way that he was able to understand better, that's how he learned the move that could potentially help him win a 1v1 against Krauser, it just had to be done at the right time. That was another reason for Krauser to hate him more as the years passed, despite having (M/n) as his superior.
Krauser had seen (M/n) smiling down at Leon when the rookie had managed to pin him down with a move he recognized as (M/n)'s. He had seen countless times how (M/n) praised and was always nice to the blond rookie, who had managed to remain being his puppy self when he was around the (h/c) haired male.
Just like how he was right now. Leon had always heard nice words about (M/n), and he got to witness that firsthand during the first trainee evaluation. Every instructor was there, and so were their respective recruits, and of course, Leon saw (M/n) standing there, serious eyes observing every move they did, down to the smallest details and mistakes they did.
Unfortunately, Leon's team had an uneven number of recruits, so he was paired up with his instructor, Krauser, who realized what Leon was trying to do and went all out on him, which might've resulted in dark bruises, cracked and/or broken ribs.
Most recruits had already left to go and get patched up depending on the severity of their wounds, and every instructor stayed, observing how poor Leon got beat up so badly (M/n) had to intervene.
"Major Krauser," he spoke with the same harsh voice he used when scolding a reckless agent, "This is an evaluation, not a boxing ring, don't forget that."
Krauser grumbled a 'yes sir' and left the room, (M/n) dismissed all the other instructors in the room and kneeled in front of Leon, who was breathing rapidly with his arm covering his eyes.
"You did well, Leon," the blond male peeked at (M/n), whose expression had turned soft and gentle, the same way he always looked, "I have some lessons for you, but first, let me help you, okay?"
Ever since that day Leon came to him whenever he needed help with something and wasn't feeling like being beaten up by Krauser until he was forced to understand, so it was understandable that they became quite close, even going as far as to be Leon's bisexual awakening, especially since back then he had no idea Ada had survived Racoon City, so he figured moving on was the right solution.
The moment the cable car stopped, Leon snapped out of his thoughts, and they walked off it. They headed inside and barely made it past a big wooden door and a small staircase before Salazar showed up again, and all the infected in the clock tower began their attack.
After Leon found him inside that crate, they had noticed that a few of the small ones had opened the moment they fell, and some of (M/n)'s gear was there, even so, with the lack of magazines, Leon gave (M/n) some spare ammo he had in his pouches, silently agreeing on covering each other's back.
Whilst Leon made his way up the clock tower, (M/n) remained behind him, shooting and stabbing any infected that came up to them, and a part of him hurt whenever another body fell to the ground dead, la plaga inside him made him feel guilty of killing his "siblings" but there was a part of his brain that remained conscious and was fighting control over the parasite, reminding it that it was nothing but an intruder in his body.
"Lieutenant!" Leon called him catching his attention and making him turn around.
Leon was kneeling on the strange lift the clock tower had up on the higher levels, reaching his hand down to him as the platform got further and further away from the ground.
(M/n) ran toward Leon, jumping and holding his hand, reaching his free hand up to hold himself up, easing the task Leon had of pulling his body up.
They rode all the way up to the very top, as high as it reached, and by then, pretty much every infected was dead or dying. Leon ran ahead kicking a door open as he neared the edge, careful not to fall to the void as he took out his binoculars and looked out, mumbling to himself something (M/n) couldn't understand.
His head started throbbing and after closing his eyes tightly his legs gave out, far away enough for Leon to hear him grunting in pain.
"Kill him, child..."
Saddler's voice echoed in his head, and he slowly opened his eyes, black dots started to darken his vision, and he caught a glimpse of Leon standing near the edge of the platform. He could easily walk up behind him and push him off-
Groaning with anger, (M/n)'s fist hit the metal floor, making an obvious dent in it, and his eyes observed the black veins disappearing from his hands.
"Fuck-" he muttered pulling the sleeve of his jack further down to no avail, that was as much as it reached, so he put his hands in his pockets and followed Leon as he called him.
"You alright?" Leon asked trying to look at (M/n)'s but he just avoided eye contact all together.
"Yeah... Yeah, don't worry about me, let's keep going."
Even with his words, Leon couldn't help but feel worried about (M/n)'s wellbeing, he wanted the male to rely on him, just like he does.
But perhaps, it's not the right time just yet.
//////
The encounter with boss Salazar was nasty, (M/n) gets shivers whenever he remembers his slimy tentacle-like appendages around him, which makes him feel disgusted. And then he remembers the pain he felt in his chest when he and Leon worked together to bring him down, something inside (M/n) was screeching at him to not kill one of theirs, but with his consciousness regaining control over la plaga's control he couldn't give two shits about Ramón, or Saddler.
Both of them broke a sweat fighting Salazar, but there was no time to rest, they had to save Ashley. That was still their mission.
They ride the lift down looking off into the distance, where an island was visible in the distance, despite the fog surrounding it.
They hopped off and found a motorboat, but no keys nearby, and you hear a female voice behind you.
"Looking for something?"
The moment (M/n) turns around, he sees a gorgeous woman with Asian features, short black hair, a tight red dress, and long leather boots, along with all the gear she had on her body.
"Why am not surprised, Ada?" Leon's words made (M/n) glance at them back and forth for a few seconds.
That Ada? (M/n)'s mind flashes with the brief memory of Leon talking to him about Racoon City and everything that happened, including having met a woman named Ada that "helped" him but in reality, she just used him for her own benefit, and well, how he had caught some feelings for her, but he wasn't sure if he actually loved her or anything.
And he remembers the small detail that she fell to the void and died, it seemed like she was in better condition than both of them combined.
"Let me take you, gentleman," she said lowering her gun and getting in the motor boat, turning the engine on and glancing back at them, "You coming or not?"
(M/n) and Leon looked at each other and sighed before jumping in and sitting down. (M/n) remained in the back, looking away and enjoying the feeling of the cold water hitting his skin, it helped him cool down the burning feeling he felt going through his veins, and it cleared his mind, as if the fog clogging his memories was finally dissipating.
He could hear Ada and Leon's voices, muffled by the wind in his ears, and the sound of the engine roaring behind him. Yet soon enough, the boat stopped and Ada stood up while shooting her grappling hook, (M/n) glanced away before he began staring at the woman's body and released a yelp when the boat shook as she left them alone.
(M/n) stood up when Leon stabilized the boat and sat next to him, hearing him sigh and mumble under his breath, "Women."
He had to hold in a chuckle, and soon Leon continued driving into the island, finding a place where they could get off easily. The short time they spent together was nice, despite the silence, it was a comfortable silence, unlike how it was when Ada was present.
"Well... Let's find Ashley," (M/n) said as he got off, reaching his hand out for Leon to grab onto. The blond looked at him from his position and showed him a small smile, holding his hand as (M/n) helped him step on the island.
//////
The journey to find Ashley definitely wasn't an easy one, running around the military facility and underground, trying to find the way that would let them continue on, it was more mentally exhausting than it was physically.
But eventually, as they continue their way forward, they arrived in a room upstairs that has a direct view of the room. A room where Ashley was kept, passed out on a military bed.
Stuff got a terrifying turn after that.
(M/n) and Leon found files that talked about an experiment with la plaga on people, called 'regenerators', and how one had escaped its cryogenic tank and gone wild. Along with that, there was valuable information about upgrading the key card to be able to find what was needed and get to Ashley.
Leon was busy reading a file when they heard the sound of the automatic door opening, and neither of them had moved from their spot, so they instinctively pulled out their weapons, the light of their flashlight shining brightly onto the humanoid creature, freaking out at the sight of it.
"What the fuck is that?!" Leon exclaimed emptying his magazine on it, and they both watched how that thing started releasing some sort of smoke or steam, and the pieces of flesh missing grew back on its jiggly body.
"Leon, run!" (M/n) drew his knife just in time as the regenerator extended its arms at them, releasing out a loud screech as it's arms were cut off, (M/n) held Leon's wrist and ran out of the room, dragging the blonde with him. (M/n) tried to convince Leon to separate as a way to cover more ground quicker, but Leon refused, he didn't want to have (M/n) out of his line of vision, which was understandable.
Unfortunately for them, there were more of those things around and while Leon was working on upgrading the key card to level two, a regenerator sneaked up behind (M/n) while he was busy shooting the two ahead of him, and he got grabbed his pistol falling from his hands as he struggled against it's grip.
"Let go of me, motherfucker!" He yelled in rage, unable to break free from its strong grasp.
"(M/n)!" He heard Leon's voice calling him from inside the room he was in, but he was also having issues with one of these creatures, so he could only watch how (M/n) got taken away while he remained locked up in that room, "Fuck-" He got rid of his anger and impotence by unloading the shotgun shells on the regenerator, exposing what appeared to be its weak points.
//////
(M/n) decided that struggling was futile, there was no point in it, so he just let himself get taken away by the regenerator.
He got locked in a dark room, he couldn't see anything, and the emergency lights didn't reach the area, so he had no idea where he was, and yet, he didn't care, the burning feeling of his blood surging through his veins let him now that Saddler was using him again for his own selfish benefit.
"Why haven't you killed him yet?" His voice was calm and understanding, but the way it echoed in his mind let (M/n) know that Saddler was all but calm about the current situation.
(M/n) had to think of something quick, he could feel wriggling inside him, his flesh and skin turning and pulsing, causing him great pain, but he clenched his jaw and pulled through it.
"We just have to be patient, my lord... The boy has to trust me blindly, there's... No way he's not suspicious of me, sir, just... Let me handle this, I'll... Get it done..." He struggled to replay whilst fighting the pain that the mutation was causing him, and for a moment, Saddler hummed, convinced of (M/n)'s words, having not felt a single trace of lies and betrayal in his body.
Without uttering another word, Saddler cut their link through la plaga, and (M/n) fell to the cold metal floor, regaining his breathing, and the screeching sound of a regenerator resonated behind him.
"Fantastic..." He mumbled, crawling away to somewhere he could hide for the time being.
//////
Stumbling his way past more regenerators, (M/n) found traces of Leon's path, like the broken wooden boxes, the dead bodies, and the scattered bullet cases on the floor, it made a fine trail toward the blond.
He ran down the hallway, and slowly approached the open gate, walking slowly and searching around for Leon's whereabouts, when he heard muffled voices of a man and woman. He stumbled his way to the electronic gate and saw Leon helping Ashley get up from the bed, her blue eyes locking onto (M/n).
"Who is that?" Leon followed her line of sight and saw (M/n) standing there, holding his side with his knife in his empty hand.
"(M/n)-" Leon rushed toward him and hugged him tightly, apologizing briefly when he heard the male groaning from the pain, "I was about to look for you, I was worried."
(M/n) smiled at the blond and released his side, lifting his hand to pet Leon's hair, giggling at the sight of his rosy cheeks and bright eyes.
"What can I say? I'm a tough cookie," he muttered and took a step aside, looking at Ashley who seemed taken aback by their interaction, (M/n) realized and took a step back, "But I'm fine, Leon, so don't worry."
Leon swallowed at the sight of (M/n)'s gentle smile, and nodded, reaching his left hand to his earpiece. (M/n) smiles at Ashley and nods his head as a greeting.
"Hello, Miss Graham, sorry we had to meet in such a bothersome circumstance," Ashley chuckled and shook her head, her bright blond hair swaying as she did so.
"No problem, we can always grab dinner when we go back home," her cheerful tone hurt (M/n), as it reminded him of the truth. Even if Ashley and Leon escaped, he had no hope but maybe... Just maybe-
His train of thought was interrupted when he heard Leon mentioning something about "removing the parasite" and for a moment he thought he got found out, that Leon knew he was infected, but just then (M/n)'s eyes noticed the black veins poking under the sleeve of his shirt, making their way down to his elbows, and glancing at Ashley, he noticed she also had signs of infection, the veins were really light colored, but they were there.
And now (M/n) was wondering how long they had until it was too late.
"Alright, let's go," Leon unholsters his gun and takes a step outside of the room before stopping for a moment, "Oh, this is yours, sir."
(M/n) watches as he takes his pistol out and hands it to him, well, no wonder (M/n) couldn't find it on his way back, so Leon had kept it...
That small, meaningless gesture shouldn't have made (M/n) feel giddy, it had no romantic meaning whatsoever so why did it cause this in him? Probably because of the small flame of hope in his chest saying that it had some sort of meaning other than being nice.
He took his pistol back and checked the clip, it was pretty much full, how it was when he dropped it.
"We can go now," Leon added and took the lead, (M/n) made Ashley walk in between them, as their bodies acted as a barrier to protect her from the infected.
//////
On their way to Luis' lab, Leon found himself feeling grateful that (M/n) was there with them, helping him protect Ashley whenever he couldn't, in other circumstances he would've had to leave her alone and he wasn't sure he would have been able to get out of that situation unscathed.
And now, Leon hopped on the wrecking machine and glanced back at (M/n) who stood still looking around them, trying to potentially find another way that would take less time, but right after the first hit to the wall with the wrecking ball, his eyes caught sight of hoards of infected.
"We got problems!" He yelled as he opened fire, and Leon rushed to his side when he got caught by an infected, kicking it away with full force, making it knock onto a few other infected behind him, (M/n) seemed surprised at the strength of Leon's legs.
Well, Krauser was the one who actually trained him, he just gave advice to the cute rookie.
Shooting the explosive barrels as they grouped up was making things easier for them, but not any quicker, however, the wall soon finally broke with a last hit and Leon helped Ashley get down whilst (M/n) moved some of the big debris out of the way and called the elevator that would take them to the top of the mountain.
On their way up, something went across (M/n)'s mind, something that made him zone out, tuning out any kind of conversation both blondes were having.
(M/n) walked right behind them, but he felt like a sensation of dejá vù, as if... He had been there before. And he has.
The moment he caught a glimpse of the amber and la plaga a piercing headache made his body tumble, gripping his skull as a loud ringing made him groan. Leon noticed and was about to turn around to help him up, when they heard Saddler's voice.
And Leon's mistake was shooting him.
The yelp that Leon released made (M/n) grit his teeth as he held onto the shelves to stand up, having some view of the scene through a piece of worn, tattered cloth.
He observed how Ashley's body was being controlled by Saddler, and (M/n) wasn't gonna let him get away with this.
"Saddler..." He growled with hatred, and he saw Ashley's body falter, obtaining more control over her actions.
"Do not resist, child," He said in what he called his "gentle" voice, Ashley whimpered small 'no's' as she was forced to pick up Leon's pistol, trembling hand holding it up straight at the blond agent.
"Please, no..." (M/n) groaned in pain, dragging his body forward, his anger and hate growing stronger toward Saddler.
"I won't... Let you..." Ashley's aim move farther toward Leon's left side, shooting one of Saddler's companions, and (M/n) watched how Saddler made Ashley point at Leon again, her body trembling even more, "Hurt them anymore..."
Pulling the trigger, Ashley shot the second companion behind Leon's right side, and the pistol clicked, and not because its clip was empty, rather because it jammed.
(M/n) fell to the ground away with a gasp, holding himself up with his shaky arms, his breath rapid and labored, his ribs painfully pressing against his lungs, cutting his oxygen supply.
While he was regaining his breathing back to normal, he heard the sound of a metal door closing and Leon's groan as he fell to the ground. "Leon...!" (M/n) tripped over his own two feet, slipping on the tile floor and pushing himself up, rushing toward the blond.
(M/n) helped him up, making sure he was okay, observing how the black vessel veins on his face started disappearing, and Leon got flustered at having (M/n) so close to his face, but he tried to focus more on getting up rather than the proximity (M/n) and he had, they had to get Ashley back, again.
//////
(M/n) had been stumbling his way behind Leon, traces of the headache he got early still remaining, and Leon was worried, making sure (M/n) was close by before resuming his path forward.
But (M/n) just told him to keep going, that he'll be fine soon enough, and Leon hesitated before doing as told. Well, only for a short while.
"I've been waiting for you, rookie," Krauser made himself known, and Leon couldn't help but glance at (M/n) who was leaning against the door frame he just walked through, trying to focus on what the scarred blond was saying but he just couldn't stop glancing at (M/n), watching how his body gave out under his weight, and Krauser realized, "Enough!" He exclaimed finally getting Leon's attention, "Let's settle this, rookie."
Before he could fully understand what was happening, Krauser had pulled out his weapon and bullets were flying toward him, making him crouch behind the broken pillars, finding cover whenever he could.
(M/n) could hear the sound of guns blasting, and knives colliding, his blurry sight making him feel slightly nauseous, but he had to help Leon, at least a little bit, Krauser was out of his mind and was definitely gonna kill Leon if the chance came up, this was no longer training, this was life or death. And he knew that Leon couldn't afford to focus on him right now, so he pushed through the pain, the burning feeling, and the fog clouding his mind once again.
But Saddler had other plans, briefly checking on Krauser, he saw him fighting Leon, so he knew (M/n) had to be close by, which he was. Saddler took care of (M/n) while Krauser finished his job, but keeping the male under his control was proving to be harder and harder the longer he did it.
Right now, (M/n) wasn't Leon's priority and he didn't want to become a bother for him, but he could help him out.
Gripping the walls and crawling across the floor, (M/n) saw how Krauser's body had mutated, he got closer to the edge and grabbed his pistol, raising his arms to hold it as steady as he could, taking a deep breath and slowly releasing it, aiming to Krauser's back, right next to his spine.
"Show me what it is that you got that I don't!" His booming voice seemingly echoed off the whole island, and keeping his hold on the pistol's grip, (M/n) muttered to himself.
"He's got me, Jack."
The bullet shot out of the barrel and hit its target right before it was too late.
Krauser had Leon pinned to the ground under his foot and his arm was ready to finish him, but before he could, the sharp pain he felt on his back was followed by a few more shots, until (M/n) ran out of ammo.
The scarred blond raised his arm toward the (h/c) haired male, "You should just die already! You're such a bother!" Krauser's rage distracted him from Leon, who stood up with his jaw clenched and his hand gripping onto his knife before running to him and stabbing him in the back. He hesitated momentarily before pulling it out and stabbing him again, the memories of Luis' body flashing in his mind and he wasn't gonna let Krauser kill the only person that had shown him some value in his life.
They watched as Krauser fell to the wooden planks, his dagger falling right next to him.
"Do... What you have to do," Leon glanced at it too, his breath slowly but surely evening out after that tough fight with his superior.
Leon picked up the dagger and briefly looked at his reflection before looking away, falling to his knees next to Krauser.
(M/n) slid down the pillar he was resting on, watching silently how Leon seemed to have an internal debate, hesitating and unsure about what he was about to do, but there was nothing that could bring Major Krauser back to normal. (M/n) knew how hard this was for Leon, after all, Krauser had trained him for years and had forged him into the man he is today, and he couldn't be more grateful that he had served under Krauser's commands, despite the asshole he usually was with everyone.
Holding his breath, Leon forced the dagger to pierce through Krauser's chest, rupturing his heart in the process.
"I trained you well... Leon," were Krauser's last words in between coughs, before falling limp back on the blood-stained planks, his blood seeping through the thin separation of each one.
(M/n) observed how Leon stood up and slowly walked away, giving his back to Krauser, his shoulders slightly rising with each shaky breath he took in, "That you did, Major."
Feeling his strength coming back to his body, (M/n) managed to stand up, his eyes landing on Krauser's military beret and he picked it up before making his way down to go back to Leon, climbing the ladder and making eye contact with blue eyes, glossy with tears.
Leon turned around when the door behind him started lowering, opening to let them in.
(M/n) leaned down, placing the red beret on Krauser's chest and saluting him, "Farewell, Major Jack Krauser. You served well." He said with a rough voice, ending his salute and following Leon who had stopped to glance back at Krauser's lifeless body.
Leon sees (M/n) stumble and grip his head with a groan, he obviously isn't doing good, but they can't stop to rest right now, they were running out of time. They had to keep moving and take Ashley back home safely.
//////
The glimpse of hope was fading.
(M/n) really thought they could make it on time when Mike arrived with his helicopter, helping them wipe out the enemies quicker, but right before they could reach the ladder to climb up, those disgusting bugs showed up, causing the helicopter to crash.
And standing menacingly before the erupting flames were Saddler, whose eyes were filled with rage as he looked down at (M/n), muttering to himself with spite.
"Traidor..."
After that, ignoring the uneasy feeling in his chest, (M/n) encourages and convinces Leon to go ahead on his own, that he's got his back and he'll be right behind him.
The moment (M/n) reached the double door he was done dealing with the infected, and he closed the door behind him, and he took a sharp breath in, hearing Saddler's voice echoing off the hallway. He ran toward them when he heard Leon's screams of pain, reaching his hand to his knife and throwing it at Saddler, watching how it landed on his chest, but before he could anything to him, the echoing sound of bullets firing from a submachine gun caught his attention.
Ada was there.
"Go!" She yelled at them and (M/n) didn't waste time to help Leon up on his feet and pick up Ashley.
"This... Way..." Leon mumbled pulling on (M/n)'s arm as he tried to not put all his weight on the male, despite barely being able to walk on his own.
They made it past the rock arc and one of the statues collapsed behind them, blocking the path.
(M/n) saw Leon trying to walk on his own, but he rushed to him, placing one knee on the ground while still holding onto Ashley, "Hold onto me, Leon," the blond wanted to refuse, seeing (M/n) already carrying Ashley was enough for him, "Leon... Please, just do it..." His quiet plead made Leon frown, placing his arm around (M/n)'s shoulders, his free hand grabbing onto his bicep, "Good boy."
Reaching the map on the wall, Leon and he observed the way they had to go, and the whole way there, Leon was grunting and muttering things (M/n) couldn't quite understand, the black vessel veins covering most of his skin, fighting the control of la plaga. And damn, (M/n) has never hated laboratory facilities more than ever in his life, the hallways seemed almost endless as he felt Leon's grip on his arm getting worse.
And yet, finally, he could see the door.
"Leon, we're here," momentarily, he lowered Ashley's lower body, his now free hand keeping Leon steady as he opened the door and the blond stumbled his way to the machine as (M/n) walked in behind him, placing Ashley on the gurney, "You're okay?" He asked Leon who simply nodded, turning the machine on.
Closing his eyes at the screams Ashley released, (M/n) tried to distract himself for a moment, and a file caught his attention. He quickly skimmed through it, understanding that an already hatched egg had a period of a week before it couldn't be removed anymore, or it would kill its host.
(M/n) didn't have a long time to assimilate what he just read because from the corner of his vision, he realized how Leon's body was swaying, and he soon started falling unconscious.
"Leon!" He yelled and ran, sliding through the floor as the blond fell on him instead of the hard floor.
He sat up, his arms wrapped around Leon as he waited for one of them to wake up, but the male in his arms started shaking, his body convulsing as the black veins extended even more across his skin.
"Shit...! Ashley!" (M/n) reached his hand up to shake the girl awake, still holding tightly onto Leon in a futile way to help him calm down.
After the third rough shaking, Ashley woke up, hearing grunting and growls, along with rapid breathing and a voice other than Leon's, looking down to her left she saw (M/n) looking up at her with glossy eyes and a convulsing Leon in his arms. She rushed off the gurney, slightly dizzy for getting up so abruptly, and silently helped (M/n) lay Leon on the gurney she previously was on.
"Remove the parasite...! There's not much time left," (M/n) said as he struggled to keep Leon's body steady whilst Ashley got the machine working again.
Both of them endured Leon's screams and watched him writhe in pain as the parasite was removed from his body too.
The moment it ended, (M/n) fell to his knees next to him, hearing Ashley's boots clicking as she walked around the room.
"(M/n), I think I found something," she said walking closer to him, showing him a crumbled paper with markings in red. It was obviously a map, and it was marking their way out of the island.
"Well done, Ashley," (M/n) smiled up at her and she blushed a bit at the genuine praise.
Now they just had to wait for Leon to wake up.
//////
Ashley and (M/n) follow Leon's lead as he guides them forward on their way out, but as they arrive at the elevator, Leon stops them.
"Stay here, it won't be long," he tells Ashley who nods before turning toward (M/n), "Take care of her in case something happens."
(M/n) nodded too as they watched Leon descending.
Both of them watched how Leon got Ada down and how Saddler showed up, their hearts racing as they started feeling worried about Leon. But they didn't have anything to worry about, or well, at least for now.
As the fight against Saddler dragged on, (M/n)'s body started to feel weak, and soon he was no longer able to stay up, his legs giving up on him as he ended up falling against the things on the edge, making them fall off to the water.
"(M/n)!" Ashley screamed and held his hand before he could also fall into the ocean, dragging him toward the opposite wall. She continued to watch as (M/n)'s condition got worse, his body trembling before it started convulsing, just like how Leon was a short while ago.
Glancing back down at Leon, Ashley watched how he was fighting a version of Saddler that reminded her of a deep sea creature, the fight seemed pretty even, but she was also seeing how Leon seemed to be having some sort of superpower... Then again, she has seen Leon taking nasty hits and brushing them off like it was nothing, so she wasn't that surprised.
And now Saddler was gone for good. But (M/n) had also stopped moving, which worried her, and she made her way down to Leon, groans left her mouth as he struggled to drag (M/n) propped on her back.
"Leon!" The blond turned around after looking at the little teddy bear charm on the key Ada threw at him, and he was instantly worried, rushing forward to Ashley as he got the weight off of her, holding (M/n) up like he held him before.
"What happened?" Ashley shook her head, panicking.
"I don't know! He started convulsing and then he just suddenly stopped responding!" Leon was about to say something when a big explosion when off at the top of the mountain.
"We have go to, the island's about to blow."
Their ride down worked to bring (M/n)'s consciousness back slowly, his blurry sight focused on the metal floor under his feet. They got off the elevator and Ashley managed to dodge an infected going at her who fell to the ground and remained there, convulsing...
Ignoring the thought in their minds, Leon took them to the jet-ski he could see.
"Hold on, (M/n), we'll get you home," those words made his eyes open wide, completely stopping in his tracks, catching Leon off guard, "(M/n)?"
"I can't..." Leon blinked confused at those words, he couldn't what? "I can't go back home, Leon."
Raising his head, both Leon and Ashley gasped at (M/n)'s appearance. His eyes were bright red and bloodshot, pulsing black veins had already covered him from head to toe and everyone knew that it was too late to save him now.
"Just go, get home safe..." Leon shook his head, stubbornly refusing to allow himself the pain of knowing he lost (M/n) again, and this time, forever.
"No! No...! You're coming with us, we can... We can find someone- something that could help you- there has to be something that can be done-!" (M/n) held Leon's face in his hands, his icy cold touch contrasting with Leon's hot and sweaty skin.
"There's nothing that can help me, Leon, not anymore," he heard a distant explosion and he knew it was time to say goodbye, "But remember this..." He brushed his hair away from his face gently, his free hand reaching up to the chain around his neck, pulling it and breaking it, "I'll always love you, okay?"
Feeling a knot in his throat, (M/n) leaned closer and place a short kiss on Leon's slightly parted lips, his hand reaching for an empty pocket where he could place the now broken necklace.
"Live a happy life, Leon."
He said before gently pushing Leon, who fell on the jet-ski, where Ashley held him to prevent him from going after (M/n) who was making his way back to the elevator.
"No! (M/n)...!" The soul-breaking scream that echoed under the island was gonna be one that no one would ever forget, especially (M/n) as he was only able to witness the island collapsing on itself, praying during his last moments that Leon and Ashley make it back home safe.
//////
Leon found it hard to talk to Hunnigan on their way back until she told him she was sending a chopper to their coordinates asap.
He moved his hand to rub his right shoulder when he felt something slightly poking out of one of the pockets of his vest.
He grabbed it and immediately recognized it as (M/n)'s locket, he always had it with him, and said it brought him good luck.
He took a deep breath and opened it, his eyes filling with tears he looked at the picture and the message engraved on the inside.
'Live to be with him' it said and next was the first picture they had taken together, and he couldn't contain his tears anymore.
"Hunnigan..." He whispered, waiting for her to reply back, "I found Lieutenant Colonel (M/n) (L/n), he... He died saving us."
Hunnigan was speechless for a moment, "I'll... I'll let the higher-ups know, Leon."
He hummed and the call cut out, as he gripped the locket tightly in his hand, promising to himself that he will continue living to keep (M/n) alive, through his memory.
++++
I have a possible happier ending for this, but it depends

"What's this?" Alejandro demanded.
You were confused seeing Graves and the Shadow Company people surrounding the gate to you and Alejandro's base. You took notice of the Shadow people surrounding you and your colleagues. It brought a chill down your spine and you immediately got a bad feeling in your gut. Something was not right.
"This is the immediate future, step away from the gate." Graves announced.
What? You couldn't believe what you were hearing.
"What?" You cried out in disbelief.
"You heard me." Graves snared at you.
Your blood boiled with anger. You never heard such disrespect from someone, let alone someone who isn't even on your team.
"You're crazy, this is my base." Alejandro said.
You stood close to your boss, to hide the fact that you were gripping the small pistol you had in your back pocket. This could get ugly real quick but you would do it in a heartbeat to not only protect your Colonel but Task Force 141 that you have grown fond and close with.
"It's not a base," Graves started which only made you want to pop his head even more, "this is a sizable covert facility and I admire it. So I'm taking it."
No. No, he can't do that. There's no way he can do that. This was our base, our facility, our everything. Our home, you frantically thought. Your heart raced even faster than it did.
"You boys and gal," Graves made a point to smirk at you as he said that, "thank you for your service."
"No, no, no I don't take orders from you." Alejandro said.
You could feel that your Colonel was trying to keep himself cool and collected as he should be, but it was getting hard to do so.
"Didn't Valeria say that?"
He did not. You started to pull out your gun but felt a strong hand push down on your hand as Graves kept talking. You turned to see who it was and it was Sergeant Soap. His blue eyes pierced at you, and he shook his head at you. He knew what you were thinking and you felt as though he wanted to do the same thing as you did, but he knew it would turn real ugly. You sighed, removing your hand from your gun.
"What the fuck did you just say to me, pendejo?" Alejandro growled, stepping forward towards Graves.
You immediately pressed your hand onto the Colonel's chest, preventing him from doing any damage, Soap's small action towards you getting through to you. Alejandro looked down at your hand on his chest, knowing immediately it was your hand, but kept his scowl on Graves.
"You're out of line, Graves." Soap sternly said, approaching Graves as well.
"Don't do that. Don't.." Graves paused to glare at the three of you, "do that. No needs to get hurt here."
There was a small, intense pause with silence between all of you with the hard rain pattering on the road to accompany the silence.
"Are you threatening us?" Ghost's voice came from the corner.
The Ghost. Just from what you have seen in the short time y'all have done missions together, you knew he was a great fighter and solider. His alias name was very true to it's name.
"Soilder, I don't make threats."
Yeah right. You felt Alejandro shift his footing, causing your hand to fall from his chest. Same with Soap, realizing that it was taking two people to stop your Colonel from plummeting Graves.
"I make guarantees. So let's not do this." Graves eyed everyone, feeling the tension in the air get thicker.
"I'm calling Shepard." Soap announced.
Yes, their boss. Do it Soap.
"General Shepard sends his regards."
What?
"He told me y'all wouldn't take this well."
I couldn't believe it.
"He knows about this?" Ghost frantically asked, who visibly had the same reaction as you did or what you could tell from his mask.
"He has put me in command of this operation from here on out. So y'all need to stand down and it's time to let the pros finish this." Graves announced.
Chills rapidly went down your body. You were scared for once in your life. You didn't know what was going to happen. You stood closer to your Colonel who then pushed you back.
"Cam, stay back." Alejandro whispered and called you by your call sign so quietly that you could barely hear.
You had a feeling that your Colonel knew what was going to happen.
"Why the hell are we talking like this is some kind of negotiation? It's not. I've got my orders, and you have yours." Graves finished, adding fuel to the fire.
"And who the fuck do you think you are, cabrón?" Alejandro snared with rage, "my men are inside!"
"I'm afraid not."
Fuck.
"Your men have been...detained."
Oh my god. Oh shit. He is going to pounce. You just knew it. And he did. Before you could even jump in, you were pushed down onto your back, taking notice of Graves zip tieing his hands together.
"Colonel!" You cry out as shots were staring to fire.
You try to crawl over to help him, but a Shadow kicked you upside your head, causing your vision to blur. Shots were being fired, everyone was shouting, but the only person on your mind was your Colonel, Alejandro. Just as you were about to reach him, Graves took the butt of his gun and hit him up against his head with it, knocking Alejandro out.
"NO! Tu jodes!" You screamed, attempting to tackle Graves.
You managed to scratch his face until he kicked you down, hitting your head against the hard road. His gun was pointed at you and you felt your heart race as if you knew this was the end. At least you didn't go down without a fight.
Suddenly a gunshot rang out, hitting Graves right on his shoulder and knocking him back.
"Cam, let's go!" A deep accented voice called to you.
It was Soap and Ghost. You immediately took Soap's hand as he helped you to his feet. The two of you took off running, with Ghost trailing behind y'all. Soap tried to prevent you from looking back but you couldn't help yourself as you had seen your beloved Colonel get shoved into the G-Wagon. Before he was even fully into the vehicle, the three of you were gone from sight, disappearing into the deep woods of Las Almas. Once the three of you were far from Graves and the Shadow Company, the three of y'all stopped to recollect.
"Fuck! Alejandro." You croaked, coming to terms with what happened.
"We will get him back, Cam." Soap tried to comfort you.
And while you appreciate it, your mind was racing so much to even realize he was trying to pull you into a hug.
"Mierda.." You mumble, feeling the tears peak out of your eyes.
You truly felt defeated. You embraced Soap's hug, knowing he was trying to keep you calm.
"Alejandro is a tough guy. He will be okay." Ghost piped up.
"I know. It's just.." You paused, wondering if you should tell the two Brits.
Both Soap and Ghost were silent and looking at you, waiting for you to finish.
"Well, Alejandro and I.. we are seeing each other."
Soap's eyes went wide while Ghost remained neutral.
"I had no idea. You both hide it well." Soap complimented.
"You two act like no one can see the two of 'ou holding hands in the vehicle, but everyone knows." Ghost remarked.
You roll your eyes at him.
"Thanks, man." You say, "we need to make it to Alejandro's safe house. There's equipment there and everything we need to fight back."
"How do we get there?" Ghost asked.
"I know the way." You say.
"Well, lead the way Mrs. Vargas." Soap said.
You couldn't help but chuckle at that, knowing Soap meant good intentions behind it. As you led the men to Alejandro's safe house, you just hope they can manage to keep it a secret, like Rudy has, until you both retire.

THIRTEEN: EASING THE PAIN.
The first time you wake up, you find yourself lying under a canopy of trees in a sleeping bag.
“Hey, you’re awake,” a soft, deep, familiar voice says. “We were sure you were gone for.”
You gently lift your head, feeling stiff and physically drained. A roaring campfire and a handsome, topless man sitting on a log sit in front of you, the flames dancing in his brown eyes.
Your eyes can’t help but roam over his big, toned body. Geto is a big man––much bigger than Gojo in terms of muscle mass––making him look like a giant despite his sitting. His big arms, one of them adorned in a sleeve tattoo, chiseled abs, pierced nipples, and appetizing pectorals coated in fine, black chest hair are all fit for a modeling career instead of being a gunslinger, you think to yourself.
“Suguru,” you croak. “Where am I?”
You hear crickets and a lone owl hooting somewhere. The trees above you whistle and sway in the breeze. “Some forest off the coast of West side,” he explains. “We turned around to go back and came here to look for shelter. It would’ve been unwise to take you back to Sage County if Benji and his men are still there.”
You wiggle your fingers and toes in your sleeping bag, flinching slightly at the slight burn in your ankle. However, it isn’t as bad as it was before. “I’m not dead?” you ask. Geto smiles at you. “No, darlin’. We managed to treat your ankle so the venom don’t spread and cleaned up the blood. You’ll feel a bit out of it though.”
You want to ask more questions, but your tongue suddenly feels too thick and fatigue washes over you. Geto appears beside you and presses a hand to your forehead. “Go back to bed, little miss,” he whispers. “We’ll be here when you wake up.” His smile and his eyes are warmer than any fire. So you listen and let the fatigue take over, knocking you out again.
The second time you wake up, Gojo is sitting in front of you with some food. He is wearing a black V-neck and jeans with his boots, smelling of pinewood. “Good mornin’,” he chuckles even though it’s still nighttime (what time is it, anyway?). “Welcome to the land of the livin’, dollface.”
You slowly turn your head from side to ide, groggy and stiff. Your injured ankle is propped up on a log, still slightly numb. “Where’s Suguru?” you ask, looking around the clearing. Gojo places the tray down between you. “Tendin’ to the horses. I fixed ya somethin’ and I promise it ain’t poison.”
He smirks at you as he begins to stir the bowl of stew sitting in front of you. It smells spicy yet hearty and loaded with herbs. “Rabbit’s stew,” he explains. “Geto and I went huntin’.” He continues to stir the stew with a wooden spoon before taking a bit of it and holding it in the spoon.
“I-I don’t think I can sit up,” you stammer. Your body still feels stiff and heavy like you’re made of rock. But Gojo is insistent and patient. “Just lift ya head so I can feed ya. We elevated your leg, so you’ll be more comfortable.” He gives you a white-toothed smile that makes you feel like everything will be okay.
So you raise your head and pucker your lips, allowing the outlaw to bring the spoon to your mouth and feed it to you. Your tastebuds explode with the taste of rosemary carrots, onions, and the hearty rabbit that you silently thank for giving its life and you hope is hopping around in another great forest in the afterlife.
Gojo pulls a cocky smirk, leaning in towards your ear, much to your confusion. “Now you can see I’m better at cookin’ than Geto is,” he whispers before feeding you again. You both fall silent, no words needed, but when your eyes meet his, he winks at you. It somehow makes you feel more comfortable. After you finish, you fall back to sleep.
The third time you wake up, it’s from the immense pain you feel in your foot. Your ankle is throbbing and stinging intensely, the pain crawling through the veins in your foot and up your leg. It’s a terrible, terrible sensation that has your eyes stinging with tears and you gripping the blanket on top of you. “Satoru,” you gasp. “Suguru, help!”
The two of them come running to you, worry written all over their faces. Geto kneels before you, his brows drawn together in concern. “What’s goin’ on?” he asks. “Is it your foot?”
You nod, biting your lip due to the pain. You’ve never felt anything like this before. “On a scale of 1 to 10, how bad it is?” He asks.
“Like a six,” you moan. “It’s just throbbin’ and stingin’ and God! It feels like my foot is on fire!” You hiss as the burn travels up your leg like its own snake, biting and lashing its tongue.
Geto slowly lowers your foot down from the log, careful and slow. He gives Gojo a serious look as he examines the binds. “We can’t elevate it any higher,” he sighs. “And if we make the binds any tighter, it’ll cut off the blood flow.”
Gojo stares at you, worry and agony in his blue eyes at the way you writhe, your body tense with pain. Tears begin to drip from your eyes, the burning increasing. “Please do somethin’!” you sob. “Anythin’, please! It hurts so, so bad!”
You look up at them, praying that they will hear you and understand. You see a helplessness in their eyes, not an ounce of pity for you. “You want us to help you, Y/N?” Gojo asks.
“Please!” you beg. “Please do somethin’!” You begin to cry, the pain absolutely excruciating. Geto wordlessly concerts with Gojo, frowning. “‘Tarou,” he murmurs. Gojo looks from him to you and takes your hand into his gloved ones.
“Okay, okay, honey,” he coos. “We’ll help you. We’re gonna take your mind off of it, okay? Just relax, alright?” He presses a kiss to your knuckles, his bit of stubble rough against your fingers.
Geto gently props your ankle back up on the log before he takes your other hand, clutching it. He presses it to his soft cheek, his mahogany eyes filled with a softness that almost eases the burning. “Do we have your permission to touch you, Y/N?” he questions. “We won’t do this if you don’t say yes.”
They don’t need to elaborate on what they mean. You can see it in their eyes in the flickering light of the campfire; feel it in the way they hold your hands. You would take anything besides what you’re feeling right now. “Yes,” you sob, delirious from the pain. “Yes, I don’t care! Just touch me! Take this pain away!”
You don’t have to tell them twice. Geto moves behind you and gently sits you up while Gojo sits in front of you. You feel their gloves hands move the blanket off of you, revealing you in your undershirt and trousers. The leather of their riding clothes feel like silk across your skin as they touch you.
Geto rubs your shoulders, trying to work out the kinks and tension in them. “Tell us how you like to be touched, little miss,” he murmurs against your ear. “How you like to be kissed.”
His deep, velvety voice sends delicious shivers down your spine. Gojo’s hands play with your thighs, his fingers trailing up, up, up to settle on your waist. “Don’t be shy now,” he chuckles. “I think we’ve passed the point of that shy shit, don’tcha think?”
Even so, you keep your mouth shut. Something is holding you back from this. You’ve never told any man how to please you sexually. You can barely remember what you like after running for so long, yet to be pleased or to be loved. You thought that overtime, sex was something you had no interest in anymore.
But the tenderness in the outlaws’ gazes makes you think differently and you want to stop running….for tonight, at least. “Don’t be scared, lovely,” Gojo coos, pressing a soft kiss to your cheek. “We won’t judge. We just wanna make you feel good.” Geto hums in agreement, pressing a kiss to the back of your neck.
Suddenly, without any uncertainty or doubt, you know that this is all they want: to make you feel good. This isn’t a booty call or a fling. They just want to help you.
So you tell them. You tell them how you enjoy being kissed and touched. You tell them you just love it when a man brushes your hair behind your ear and kisses down your neck and shoulders. You tell them you love your partner being just as naked as you, even if you don’t touch them. You don’t like a lot of clothes.
You also tell them you don’t mind the gloves staying on.
You tell them everything you enjoy, earning looks of surprise and hidden must in their gazes. By the time you finish, you feel hot with anticipation and embarrassment. “Just no kissin’ on the lips,” you order. “That’s my boundary.”
“Yes, ma’am,” they say in unison and quickly as if they can’t get the words out fast enough. It almost makes you want to laugh at their eagerness. They stay at their posts—Gojo in front of you, Geto behind you—and begin to kiss and touch your body. Their lips are soft and the leather of their gloves feel like the richest velvet on your skin as they stroke your sides and hips, feeling you up.
A moan wants to escape from you, but you don’t let it. Instead, you are silent, your mouth forming a quiet O as Gojo’s pillowy-soft lips caress your throat. Geto’s move up your neck to your ear, your hair brushed out of the way to allow him access. Gently, he begins to nibble at the skin there and you tense, a stubborn whimper leaving your lips. “Let yourself go,” he murmurs against your earlobe. “We won’t hurt you, Y/N.”
Gojo pulls away to look up at you from the hills of your chest, his blue eyes flickering with firelight and mischief. “Or are you just too impatient?” he smirkingly asks. You don’t know why but that makes you push him away. At first, he seems hurt and confused, but then his eyes widen when you begin to slowly strip off your undershirt to reveal your bra.
Geto quickly unhooks it from the back, letting the piece of clothing fall, forgotten. All that matters now are your breasts that hang glowing in the firelight, your nipples two brown, hardened peaks. Both men stare at them like they’re the most magnificent things they’ve ever seen in their entire lives.
“Goddamn!” Gojo swears. He covers his mouth, astounded. It makes you flush, your stomach flip-flopping.
“Fuck, darlin’,” Geto murmurs. “Look at these. You’ve been hidin’ these the entire time?”
He has shifted his position closer to you and your chest, moving from behind you to get a better look at your titties. He can’t get close enough. He begins to touch them, gently running his gloved hands down the sides of your breasts.
You softly moan at his touch, wondering what it would be like to feel his naked fingertips brushing against your skin. But you don’t suggest it. It’s bad enough you’re letting them touch you in such a way. Gojo joins his partner and latches his lips onto your left nipple. Another moan, this one louder and more desperate, escapes you as he begins to gently suck and lap at your nipple with his pink tongue.
Geto does the same to your right nipple, the contrast being the warmth of his tongue and the cold metal of his tongue piercing nearly sending you into a frenzy. Your head falls back, staring up at the night sky, as the outlaws gently assault your titties, squeezing, sucking, and playing with them. At this point, you’re burning up and it isn’t from the fire or the bite. It’s all from them.
You can feel your body begin to relax into their mouths and their hands, your self-control finally dissipating to allow you to fully give yourselves to them. Probably sensing this change, Gojo looks up at you and smirks. “Two heads for two of these precious things,” he chuckles, jiggling one of your titties. “How lucky are you?”
Very. You know you are. Your hands find their scalps, your fingers running through their hair as they slurp and lap at your nipples, coating them them in their spit.
“Boys,” you whimper. “Please more.” Your body is tingling with need, your pussy quivering and throbbing in your trousers.
The outlaws laugh, taken by your adorable mess. “Such a needy thing,” Gojo chortles. “Who would’ve thought such a tough woman could be such a desperate, sweet little girl under all them scars?”
If he means physical or emotional scars, he doesn’t say, but it doesn’t matter. Even now, you don’t feel like cringing or shying away because of these “scars”. You feel free.
Geto lightly laughs, taking his hair out of his ponytail. His long, black longs cascade down his back and shoulders, reminding you of a river. “Guess it takes the right one to make it happen…or in this case, the right two.”
The two men begin to strip, much to your enjoyment. You watch them with greedy eyes as they take off their shirts but leave on their gloves, boots, and pants, only undoing their flies. You asked them to do so beforehand while telling them what you like. You don’t want to them to be completely naked, mostly because you don’t trust yourself to not ask for more.
And Lord knows you’d regret taking tonight any further the next morning. But you still enjoy staring at their toned bodies, big arms, and happy trails that lead down their toned stomachs to their V-lines. The men look pleased with your adoring, lustful gaze, light chuckles leaving their lips.
Gojo crawls over to you and situates himself between your legs. “Let’s get these legs open,” he hums. Gently, he takes hold of the leg with the uninjured ankle and moves it apart, bending it so your knee is propped up. You unbuckle the belt to your trousers and lift your hips so the outlaws can pull them down your legs. They carefully pull them off your ankles, mining your injury, until you’re just in your undies.
Geto locks eyes with you, never moving his hands once towards your panties. ‘Okay?’ They ask you. You wordlessly nod and bite your lip as he slowly pulls your panties down to expose your glistening, wet, puffy pussy in the firelight. “God,” Geto moans, salivating at the sight.
Gojo is just as astounded, shamelessly staring at the gorgeous rosebud between your thighs. “Fuck, babydoll,” he groans. “You have the prettiest pussy.” You flush at their reactions and Gojo’s dirty yet sweet words, not having ever been complimented in such a way. “Thank you,” you find yourself whispering. The two share a smirk, concerting with their eyes.
“So polite,” the white-haired outlaw praises. “You deserve a reward for that.” He is the one who gives you your “reward” first, peppering your pussy in kisses while he massages your inner thighs with his magical, long fingers. While he does this, Geto plays with your tits, tweaking and lapping at your nipples. You breathe in the sweet scent of his hair every time he leans down to suck on your breasts, making you wetter for some reason.
But once Gojo puts his mouth on your pussy, finally, you just about leave your body. All that constant talking for Gojo must’ve been practice because he’s an eater. He laps at your pussy, sucks on your clit, and just about drowns in your cunt. He eats it like an eager man desperate for water, slurping you down like he’s trying hard to get your honey pouring out.
Your eyes widen and moans escape you as he works his mouth onto you. “O-Oh, my God!” you gasp, eyes widening at the sky. Geto watches you, entranced by the way you move and sound. “Mmm-hmm,” Gojo hums into your pussy, encouraging you to keep making those sweet noises for him.
Geto begins to grow impatient and nearly knocks Gojo out of the way. “C’mon, Satoru, scoot over,” he huffs. “We have to share.”
The white-haired man pulls himself away from your pussy, his lips and chin coated in your juices. “Who says?” he scoffs. “Did she say she wanted two tongues at once?”
Your eyes widen at the idea. You’ve never heard of such a thing: two men sharing the same pussy…but it excites you. It turns you on. Geto seems just as stunned by the suggestion. “Well…that’s not what I meant, but–”
“Go ahead,” you cut in, earning their surprised gazes. You sit up as much as you can and lock eyes with both of them, forcing yourself to be open and firm. “I-I want both of you,” you stammer. You don’t care if it makes you slutty or desperate. You need this. You need to feel something other than pain.
But because of your pride, you can’t let them know all of that. So you sit back and give them a glare. “Just go ahead instead of arguin’ and makin’ me wait.” The two break out into smiles, loving your bite. “Impatient,” Gojo tuts, stroking your outer thigh. “But we can’t deny you. So we’ll share.”
He begins to dive in again, but Geto stops him with a hand blocking his face. “Yes, share,” he agrees. “After I get my own taste. Now move. The fuck. Over.”
Despite Gojo’s reluctance, he moves anyway and lets his partner have a taste. You watch as Geto pulls his hair over one shoulder before he dives down between your thighs.
While Gojo has a very eager and teasing way of eating pussy, Geto takes his sweet time with you. He gets to know the ins and the outs of you by swishing his tongue this way and that while he laps at your cunt. He pays close attention to your sounds and body language, switching things up to test the waters. But everything he does feels good to you.
You are a moaning, writhing, whimpering mess on the forest floor, eyes fluttering open and closed onto the night sky. Geto is loving every minute of this, his hands cupping your asscheeks and bringing you closer to him.
“How’s that feel, babydoll?” he asks from between your legs. “Am I pleasin’ you okay?” You just about shout to the stars above, overcome with pleasure. “Yes!” you whine. “Yes, Sugu, fuck, that feels so good!”
Gojo watches from beside his partner, hard as a rock but totally jealous. “No fair,” he whines. “She didn’t get that loud with me!” Geto gives him the finger, not even coming up to look at him. “C’mon, Sugu, lemme taste her too!” The long-haired outlaw rolls his eyes but moves over anyway to share you. “Somebody’s pussy whipped.” As if he isn’t.
And then you have two sets of sinful, magical tongues on your pussy. You just about see God the instant you feel their soft lips and tongues on you, their moans and pants causing you pussy to throb, gush, and jump even more. “Ohhh, sh-shit!” you stammer loudly, you hands gripping their hair. “Yes, right there! Do it right there!”
Gojo’s sapphire eyes tick up to look at you and he pulls his mouth away from your clit to give Geto a chance to suck on it. “Oooh, she is a loud one,” he laughs. “I love my women vocal and bratty.”
He leans up to press a kiss to your stomach, making your body twitch. “How do two tongues feel on that pussy, darlin’?” he purrs. “Is my tongue better than Sugu’s?”
You couldn’t answer even if you had an answer. Geto suddenly grabs the back of Gojo’s neck, glaring up at him. “Just shut up and keep lickin’ before I take her all to myself,” he growls.
The blue-eyed outlaw gives him a mischievous look. “Oh?” he chortles. “You think you got it like that? She ain’t even seen how I use my fingers yet.”
He goes back to kissing along your stomach while he uses one of his gloved fingers to rub your clit while Geto’s tongue lightly delves inside of you. Your mouth opens, a broken moan leaving your lips as your eyes roll back into your head. Gojo’s fingers glide along your sides and thighs, making you even more aware of that ache deep in your core.
“‘Tarou,” you whimper. “Please…I need more.”
Both outlaws look up at you, neither one pausing what they're doing. “Does our good little cowgirl want a finger?” Gojo murmurs against your stomach. “We can even switch, though I’ll admit, sugar: you’ve got a man sprung off you.” He smirks down at you before glancing back at Geto.
“Same here,” the long-haired outlaw growls, desire evident in his voice. “But I don’t mind sharin’ with you, Satoru. Only you.” The fact that both of them desire you enough to want you all to themselves but still decide to share somehow makes you even hotter.
While Geto continues to go down South on you, Gojo retracts his lips from you and stands up on his knees. He keeps his eyes locked with yours as he begins to slowly, seductively, take off his leather riding glove. He does it bit by bit, inch by inch, sliding the glove off his fingertips. You watch, shivering with anticipation and need. How does he make even taking off a glove so sexy?
Once he strips his glove off, he sucks on his bare index finger, coating it in spit. And then his finger is sliding inside of you. You gasp as he slowly slides in, gently pushing back and forth, stroking your insides to let you get used to his digit. Both outlaws watch your body respond to the new sensations you’re feeling, still moving slow. But you don’t need slow.
So you look into their eyes, your face flushed and chest rapidly rising and falling, your nipples hard and pussy dripping. “Fuck me,” you whine. “Please.” And so they do. Gojo crooks his finger up to curl against that spot while Geto greedily sucks on your clit, coating the needy bud in his saliva.
You moan, whimper, and whine, gripping the blanket underneath you for dear life. “Mmm, yes, fuck!” you sob. “Yes, yes, don’t stop! Please don’t stop!”
“That’s what I love to hear,” Gojo moans, smiling up at you. “Such a naughty girl givin’ up your pussy like this to us outlaws.”
Geto takes his mouth away from your clit, allowing Gojo time to replace him. “You’ve always wanted this, haven’t you?” he asks. “Be honest, girl.” He reaches up to tweak one of your nipples, pinching it.
Sparks of pleasure surge through you and explode in your head, sending you on a rocket trip. “Y-Yes!” you moan. “Yes, I’ve always wanted this! Always needed this!” It’s embarrassing. It’s humiliating. Because it’s true.
Gojo releases your clit, leading Geto to swoop in and replace him once more. “Knew it,” he cackles. “All those times you argued us down into the ground just for us to play with this pretty cunt. All ya had to do was ask, sugar.” He begins to finger-fuck you faster, purposely angling up to glide against your G-spot again and again.
You’re so pent up that you begin to play with your other tit while Geto keeps his hand on one, both of you working together to tweak your nipples. It doesn’t take long for that feeling of a rising orgasm to surface and judging by how tight that in your core is getting, it’s an intense one.
“Fuck, I’m close, boys,” you pant. “I-I’m gonna cum! You’re gonna m-make me…”
Your voice dies, replaced with a weak moan. Geto nods encouragingly, still working your pussy with his tongue. “It’s okay, little lady,” he murmurs. “You can cum all ya want. Just let go. We’ve got you.”
Meanwhile, Gojo is less encouraging with his words but does so with his actions, moving his finger up against the underside of your clit from the inside. “Do it,” he demands. “Fuckin’ cum for us, you little slut. Do it now!” Their ministrations become faster, more urgent, encouraging you to fall off that cliff…
And, finally, you do. Your pain is replaced with immense pleasure, making you shiver and shake as you cum all over Gojo’s finger and Geto’s mouth. Your moans and whines fill the Western night as you gush for the men settled between your thighs, your mouth open wide and eyes closed where colors flash behind your eyes. Your orgasm ripples through you like a tidal wave, making your back arch and your toes curl.
Suddenly, you don’t feel the pain anymore. You just feel immense bliss zipping through you. Even as the high your orgasm brings fades, you still feel it. A delirious, blissful smile grows on your face as you run your fingers through the outlaws’ soft hair. “Thank you,” you sigh. “Thank you, thank you, thank you.”
You repeat these words like a mantra as the two clean you up, keeping their licks light and gentle to not overstimulate you. Once they finish, Gojo looks down at you and sucks your cum off of his finger that was once inside of you.
Geto stands up on his knees, looking down at you. That must’ve tuckered her out, poor baby,” he chuckles.
Gojo agrees with a hum while you moan in protest about not being tired, but your sudden exhaustion doesn’t allow you. Suddenly, you feel Gojo lying next to you, one elbow propped up to hold his head up.
He keeps his eyes on you, not touching you at all, but the way he looks at you feels as if he is. “Shh,” he hushes you. “Just sleep. We’ll be here when you wake.” You feel Geto lie behind you, a warm presence that makes you feel safe just as Gojo does.
They keep their promise and stay with you through the night even as you drift off to sleep, that blissful smile still on your face.

Shit was going down and surprisingly, it was not by your doing.
With your back pressed against the wall of the luggage holding, you could only hope the short but thick curtain covered your figure enough that anyone who passed wouldn’t see you. As you attempt to keep your breathing low and quiet, it hitches when you hear the sudden sound of automatic door opening.
“We need to find the cheeky fucker who took our case. Swear to God, I’ll bash his head in when I find him.”
That’s a thick accent you don’t forget. You don’t want to peak, but you can see the West Ham sticker on the back of his phone.
It can’t be him. No, no…
“Lemon, I’ve gone up and down this train for the umpteenth time. I’m ‘bout ready to shoot any sleazy bellend who looks at me funny.”
Tangerine?
He was the only person you’ve been able to outrun yet here he was, only a few inches away and knowing damn well he would know how to tear into you for what happened in Copenhagen. Long story short, it ended with you tossing his favorite gun into the river and it’s made an even bigger target on your back.
While you do wear a mask that seals your identity during your heists, you prayed he didn’t remember eyes since you lost your only form of disguise when fighting the Prince. Just like you, she uses her looks to her gains, able to manipulate anyone by batting her eyelashes. She was the one with the case, and knowing her past, she’d blame it on someone else and you were most likely high up on the list.
“Alright, then. Let’s keep lookin’ for the bastard.” He said before hanging up.
You cover your mouth, your glare remaining steady on him before he takes a pause. His blue eyes search around the cart, huffing until you hear the other automatic door open. You fully step out of the small luggage spot and catching your breath, “I have to get off here.”
As the next stop was coming to a halt, a force pulled you back into the bathroom from an arm snaking around your waist. You couldn’t even gather your thoughts before feeling a cool metal pressing against your temple.
“Now I can only think of two reasons a girl like yourself is hiding behind a bunch of suitcases. One, she’s got a bit of a dickhead of a boyfriend or two, she’s got my fuckin’ case.”
You smirked, “If I had it, I would have hid better, don’t you think?” You hoped to fool him.
“Oh, darling. You think I’m that stupid, why don’t you just–” He turned you around to look into your eyes, and unfortunately, he had seen them somewhere, “Oi, where have I seen you before?”
“I’ve never met you before in my life, now if you’ll excuse me…” You trailed before he shifted to stand in front of the doorway, placing his gun on the sink counter.
“As much as I’d like to believe that, darling... you’re not going’ anywhere until I get my answer.” He said with an assertive tone, his jaw obviously clenched and his eyes piercing blue.
With his one hand on the trim of the sink and the other against the wall, he towered over you with his tall stance. He acted intimidating but you knew deep down there was hidden softness to his personality. ‘Warmer the closer you got’ type of shit.
Your eyes shifted from his eyes to his chest, hard to not stare with his first button undone and gold chain disappearing into his shirt. Able to display a poker face, Tangerine was still racking his brain around where he had seen those eyes before. He couldn’t place the last time he saw such a color.
I guess what you failed to mention is that something else happened in Copenhagen. To summarize, it involved a skin tight dress, a hotel key card and a getaway plan by dawn. What threw him off now was that you weren’t sporting the same short, auburn wig you sported that night you tried to get his attention.
“How am I supposed to give you an answer that I don’t have? You’re in my way.” You protest.
“And you’re not a very good liar, are ya?” He huffed, “Now, if you don’t have my case then who does?”
Not giving a second more, you pulled out your own gun tucked in the waist of your skirt, pushing it against his bare chest, “I think you better stay out of the way before you really get hurt.”
He didn’t bat an eye, but his eyes took a second glance at the tattoos drawn on the side of your middle finger and the top of your knuckles. Suddenly, he placed those hands from memory and the image of them running down his chest struck his mind. He looked back into your eyes and remembered how they kept steady contact as your tongue glided down his body.
“It’s been a while since Copenhagen, yeah?” He said, clenching his jaw once more.
Shit. Maybe you shouldn’t have doubted him so much.
“Well you’re not fooling me this time.” He grunted, quickly taking your gun while your guard was down for a split second, “I’ll give you one last chance, love. Tell me where the case is and maybe, I’ll be and gentleman and just escort you off at the next stop.”
“So cute how you’re trying to threaten me yet use a pet name. Guess I just know how to get to your soft spot, Tan.” You grinned, placing your hand on his cheek.
Mesmerized, a gloss smooths over his eyes before his phone vibrates in his pants pocket.
“Do you wanna get that or have me reach in there?” You taunted.
He replied with an eye roll, but quickly answered. “Yeah, what?” Tangerine answered, his eyebrow cocked.
A low voice told him that they needed to see proof of the case at the next stop or things could go south. Tangerine quickly hangs up during mid-threat, and you twist your lips.
“Since you can’t find your case, I assume you’re the one getting off at the next station.” You smirked, “Glad we got to catch up.”
“No, no, you little pain in my ass. You’re gonna put on a nice smile for these massive dickheads and stall with me…” He tilted his head a bit, “As far as I know, you know where the case is so I’ll be attached by the hip to you for the rest of the lovely ride to Kyoto.” Tangerine yammered on.
You rolled your eyes but he held your chin, making you look him in the eyes, “I’m sorry, does that bother you now?”
“Hmm, no. Just kind of sweet to know you haven’t forgotten about me.” You purposefully teased, your palm running down his chest before opening another button of his shirt with your one hand. It was a tactic to get under his skin, hoping to get some sort of reaction.
“You’re some tease who left me in Copenhagen, I’ve dealt with shots to the fuckin’ chest. You really think highly of yourself, don't ya.” He deflects but glances at your soft lips.
You grinned, placing your hand on his cheek, “I don’t think I have to remind you of how low I’ll stoop to get a job done… or kneel.”
Tangerine felt your hand moving through the back of his hair, carding his loose curls before pressing your foreheads together. The tip of your nose brushed against his, your lips barely touching until the train came to a slow stop.
“Well, I guess it’s time to put on a good fucking act.” You huffed, pulling away and Tangerine didn’t realize he forgot to take a breath.
♡ ♡ ♡
He turned around, opening the bathroom door in one swift motion and the two of you stood by the exit. After quickly texting Lemon that he was going to stall, he gives you a look again– this time, his eyes shifting up and down your body, noticing the tear in your stockings. He knew you were up to something, but resisting the urge to press you up against a wall was making him ache a bit.
As the train door opened, Tangerine took a step toward you, “If anything goes down, you get behind me and get back on. Other than that, follow my lead.”
You nodded, “I have limited options… how generous of you.”
The two of you step off the train, and looking around for the men you’re asked to meet. As passengers got on and off, there was a small group that came your way and you stood next to Tangerine as they got closer.
“Where’s the case?” The tall one asked, standing center of the three other men.
“Lemon is keeping it safe right now.”
“Then who’s this?”
Tangerine glanced at you, shrugging, “I’m a professional, I’ve got my back up… Peach.”
You wanted to narrow your eyes at him with a burning stare, but you maintained your composure to convince them. It was one step closer to getting the case, and it wasn’t the worse operative name.
The four men chuckle at it, and you cross your arms from the reaction, “So, are we done here?” You asked, “We’ve obviously got places to be now since your boss is up our asses about his case.”
At first, they replied with scowls until Tangerine took a step in front of you, your chest basically touching his back.
“‘Cuse her attitude, it’s been a long night.” Tangerine acted as if he were in charge of you, “But, we’re all good now. The plan is still Kyoto, ta-ra now.” He faked a grin, pushing you toward the door as the alert sounded for boarding.
Before you knew it, the train was moving and the both of you plopped into two empty seats in the quiet car. As you watched Tangerine type out a text to Lemon, you scoffed, crossing your arms as you faced the window out to the city life of Japan.
♡ ♡ ♡
“Well, Lemon still hasn’t found the person with the case… fucker could have gotten off without us knowing.”
You turned your head, “So, that’s means I’m off the list of the accused?”
“...I just don’t trust you.” He trailed, slipping his phone back into his pants pocket.
“Aw, still a little hurt from our last encounter?” You pouted, “Didn’t take you for such a softie, Tan.”
Tangerine clenched his jaw. He had little patience for your sass, but it was fun to fuck with him. You gently placed your hand on the top of his thigh, hidden under the table, and refused to lose eye contact with him. There were four stops left so, it was time to put a spontaneous plan B into motion: make him let his guard down for you.
You batted your eyelashes, “Tell me, do you still think about our night together? I didn’t mean to leave so quickly, but we had something… yeah?” You taunted him, your hand moving up his thigh. Just as your fingers were going to unbutton his pants, Tangerine quickly grabbed your wrist and put it back on his knee.
“You wanna play games, darling?” He grunted, “Then, I’ll play your game.”
You couldn’t help but admit that your heart beat against your chest, like the air in the cart had been sucked away and before you knew it, his right hand was running up your thigh until he ripped the rest of your stocking. You almost gasped, not wanting to attract attention, but he pulled it enough where your panties were exposed.
“Don’t get shy on me now, love.” Tangerine said under his breath as his hand entering between your legs. Once he pushed the black lace to the side, his two thick fingers entered your slit. The hand you had on his thigh suddenly met the wrist of his hand working your pussy.
His blue eyes softened, feeling how wet you already were and how you tried to restrain from arching your back against the seat. Being in plain light, you bit your bottom lip and concentrated on the scene passing by– obviously, not easy to focus on when Tangerine is gliding his fingers in and out of your wet slit. You could scream, knowing how deep they were from feeling his cool rings against your skin.
“I’d rub your clit, but I’d hate to make you cum right here… in front of everyone.” He looked around, as if he weren’t edging you, “You don’t really deserve to anyways.”
You took one big gulp, your hand gripping the arm rest now and you let him keep going. For as long as he wanted to and however fast he wanted to. As big of a talk you made, you were suddenly puddy in his hands– quite literally– and God, you didn’t want him to stop.
He pressed his lips against your ear, “Are you close?”
“Hmm.” You could barely let out a word, “N-no.”
“Don’t lie to me now so you can cum.” He chuckled.
Just like that, he quickly pulled his hand away and he saw how his fingers were coated in your glistening cum. As he went to place them in his mouth, you pulled his wrist and tasted your own cum on your tongue.
All he could think was, “Fuck, her tongue is soft…” and reminisce the memory of his dick pushing down your throat.
You kissed his fingers before setting his hand back on his lap, and he watched you pant. Such a beautiful mess, he thought again.
Pushing your skirt back down, you crossed your legs as you ran your fingers through your hair. “You fucking ripped my nice tights…” You huffed, pulling the band from the waist and pulling them down your legs. You balled them up as you put your shoes back on, and stuffed them between the wall of the train and the seat.
You blew a breath past your lips, “Alright, that was fun but I gotta go.” You gulped, attempting to get up but he pushed your leg back down so you basically say back down.
“You’re stayin’ right here.” He said, not looking at you but around the cart, “Because the next stop, you’re gettin’ off… not like how you did right now but-”
You cut him off, “What?” You scoffed, your cheeks feeling heated, “No, I’m not getting off this train until I have the case!”
You didn’t mean to spill your own secret, but your guard had been put down. Shit.
He smirked, “See, I knew you had somethin’ to do with the case. Now you’re definitely gettin’ off at the next stop or I’ll-”
Cut off again, he sees Lemon walking down, also without the case in hand, and Tangerine quickly gets up. He met him halfway in the aisle, so you got up to see what was going on and if it was about the case.
“Who’s this? Looks familiar…” Lemon trailed as he pointed at you, then back at Tangerine.
“She’s no one-”
“Actually we passed each other in Copenhagen. You called me an Emily.” You grinned, tilting your head.
“Ah, yes. Emily, very kind but a tad bossy…” Lemon nodded but then narrowed his eyes, “Lookin’ for the case too, yeah?... unless you have it and we’re runnin’ around like headless chickens.” You could see his hand reaching into his jacket.
“I wish. Trust me…” You crossed your arms.
“Yeah, and she was just leaving on the next stop. No business being around here, muckin’ about.” Tangerine said without looking at you again, just making eye contact with Lemon.
“You treat me like I’m incompetent yet I beat both your asses back in Copenhagen and managed to steal the getaway car. Why don’t you two leave and let me handle whoever has the case.” You shoved past Tangerine, “Fucking amateurs.” You muttered under your breath.
Lemon turned around, Tangerine behind him, “She’s definitely is an Emily.”
Tangerine rolled his eyes, “I’ll go get take care of her. You check back down that way.” He clenched his jaw, pushing back his rolled sleeves.
♡ ♡ ♡
The door opened to the first class cart, already imagining your hands wrapped around the Prince’s neck once you had an eye on her. Dim orange lights lit your way, a few people asleep with blankets on top of them.
Just as you came close to the lounge toward the end, a hand gripped your wrist. Before asking any questions, your other hand quickly swung down on the other’s wrist, thinking it was the Prince, but you were met with another set of bright eyes.
“Let go of me.” You muttered under your breath, not trying to get anyone’s attention.
Like deja vu, Tangerine pulled you into the bathroom and locked the door. It wasn’t as tight as the other passenger bathroom, but still had little room to move around with two people.
“Do I gotta tell you again?” Tan practically growled.
“You can’t tell me what to do. What do you want from me that you keep cornering me like this?” Your tone matched his.
He took a deep breath through his nostrils, and suddenly felt the tension. He couldn’t take his eyes from you, never admitting that he had been thinning about you since Copenhagen, so instead his lips met yours.
You weren’t surprised, but you missed his lips. You bit his bottom lip, your body relaxing as you fell into his arms. Your noses brushed together, foreheads close before you unbuttoned his shirt, your hands meeting his soft skin. It slipped past his toned arms, and he pressed your hips against the sink counter.
As you lifted your leg by his side, he put his hand underneath your knee to keep it high. Tangerine kissed and nipped at your neck after taking your shirt off, tossing it on top of the closed toilet seat. You ran your fingers through his messy curls, gripping them as you shared hungry kisses. His hard pressed against his slacks, rubbing against your inner thigh.
“You’ve got about four minutes, Tan.” You said between kisses, “I don’t know if you’re that fast.”
“You underestimate me, love.” He grunted, “It’s gettin’ a bit old.”
Suddenly, he hiked your skirt and you played along, spreading your legs enough for his body to move between them. He quickly unzipped his pants while his right hand rubbed your wet clit and the left hand against your neck.
You giggled, biting your bottom lip before slipping the tip of his cock into your pussy. You held back your gasp, giggling instead to get a rise out of him, but it just made him squeeze your neck a bit.
“Almost forgot how big you were.” You pouted, but he thrusted inside of you. You audibly gasped, and kissed his thumb pressed against your bottom lip.
At first he was slow-paced, purposefully making you beg for it. He knew your weak spots yet his head fell against your shoulder, a light whimper escaping his throat remembering how tight your cunt was. He held your leg up again, giving him an angle to work with and his cock bottomed out inside your pussy.
“Fuck!” You croaked, “God, you’re so… big. Stretching me out so good, baby.” You whined.
“Fuckin’ Christ.” Tan cursed, his hips bucking as your skins slapped together. He was eager to make you cum, shattering in his arms and falling apart like he adored. His hand slapped against your ass cheek, kneading it the closer he got.
You leaned your head back, rolling your eyes back and could see stars, Tangerine practically lifting you off your feet as your walls began to tighten around his hard cock.
“Please… please let me cum.” You begged, your eyes barely open, “I wanna cum. Please.”
“Gotta beg a little more, darling.” He gulped as his pace got faster, not realizing how strong he was, “Keep those pretty eyes lookin’ at me.”
You arched your back, “Ah, please!… I want your fucking cum filling me up. Make me cum all over your cock, baby.” Your pitch elevated, “Fuck, I’m gonna cum. I’m gonna fucking cum!”
He grunted against your shoulder, giving it a small bite before saying, “Cum, cum for me, love.” He lighty gasped but tried to mask it by kissing your shoulder.
Your fingers pulled his messy curls, not able to explain the complete bliss running throughout every vein and nerve in your body. His hand covered your mouth just as yours covered his, muffing your defeated moans when the two of your released inside your pussy.
As you came down from your highs, the two of you let out tired chuckles. His cock was still inside you, feeling your warm walls as he shared one last sloppy kiss.
Your thumb ran across his cheek, “Better than Copenhagen?”
He half-smiled, “Wouldn’t you like to know.”
♡ ♡ ♡
Ultimately, you agreed to let them take it from there. It was two more stops, and the train was coming to it’s next destination. You and Tangerine stood by the door, watching it slowly open and your stubbornness was eating you up. Although it was a risk to get off the train, seemed there was more than the two of you looking for the case. If anything, you loss some pay.
“You better get off now.” Tangerine told you, the two of you watching people pass.
You hummed, “I know… hope you can tell me how it goes if we ever meet again.” You sighed, placing your hands on his chest. Your eyes met with his, and he furrowed his brows. You twisted your hips, taking a deep breath before quickly meeting your lips with his again. Tender and slow.
As you pulled your face from his, you nodded, “Bye, Tangerine.”
He expected for you to pass, and he actually thought he was going to miss you.
Instead, you forcefully pushed him out the door and it closed him out from coming back in. You rolled your eyes, walking up to the window as you watched the train pull from the station.
“I really am good.” You smirked.

I am the type of tarot reader to say as it is. Nothing is sugar coated but everything is sent with good intention. If you are not ready to face some truth, you should vagabond somewhere else.
TW: PANIC ATTACK
Pile 1
Check in : y'all come from a rich abusive household. You are about to run away. Or some of y’all might actually just move.
What’s the gag ?
King pentacles
People are yapping about you, are your classmates or close friends . Y’all come from an abundant family heritage and are living the dream some will never get to even grasp. Let’s not forget your amazing composure. You can get anything you want whenever you want. Probably walking around with an Amex card. Book a ticket overseas at least 4x a year. Whole education in private school even high profile nanny. If you are black, u hear often … « you talk white … ». I fucking hate that statement because what is that supposed to mean 😑… LOSER . They think u must have a very traditional way of thinking. Especially if u are white, they think u lean more towards far right ideologies. And the fact that u call your parents « papa » or « mother » is not helping your case.
What’s actually gagging ?
8 swords
Y’all are going through it with your family. I don’t have any vision regarding what’s going on behind closed doors. But I see you pulling a big bright smile after closing the front door of your house. I see y’all acting literally like a robot. The second that your parents ask for something. You do it. No question or critical thinking involved. Y’all are literally suffocating in your household. This time no amount of money, clothes or first class trip is cutting it.
Bonus💌333, The universe is advising you not to run way. They know you are an individual with good values and you hate acting out of character. But they are giving you the green light to act like a spoiled child and throw a fit. So you can get your own apartment and enjoy a semi independent lifestyle before blowing the big gun. They will hate to see struggle in the real world when u already been through hell in your own home.

What’s the gag ?
Judgment (reverse)
They feel like too many bad things happen to you. Everyone in town is in your business. Which is not surprising. Like nobody actually minds their motherfucking business ( I’m sorry … I hate when people are in people's business, especially mine . Since I’m a toddler my fav sport is to mind the thinking that pay me … is so annoying when I run around individuals that fucking don’t This is why I never over read in y’all energy even in a collective setting. Like c’mon). I’m sorry pile 2, y’all lost u’re high school sweetheart. Y'all got married but it all scrambles down. They feel like you need Jesus. They think u are bitter, old and alcoholic women. You need to give your heart to God and turn your life around.
What’s actually gagging ?
Queen swords (reverse)
They are partially right (and i oop-). Nah, I have to stay serious. This is a serious matter. You lost the only good thing in your life. I would be turning bitter myself 2. In that nasty old town, where people never let you be in peace. First because of your mom's reputation then because of your beauty. Out here making fun of u because u gain weight. Bitch people are at the gym killing themself to have your curves. Some are dying on the bed of doctor Miami… for what ? I sense that it is constantly like that. Since you’ve been young they made smart comments about you. When they realize, u only get prettier from there… game over. Now they are calling you fast. Then calling you old, they wish. Y’all are between 25-27 like… ok, yeah ok, pipe down bitch (meme reference). You are pondering on doing a 360 of your life right now. You spend all this time trying to please people around you and acting according to people's expectations. Now you want to live in a rather carefree lifestyle. Moving to the big city, where nobody cares about you and nobody deem to care. You might want to be a stripper. Not because you are missing funds or don’t have an education. You just want to go wild for a bit. Seeing if you still got it.
Bonus💌777, When you are ready to share your story that's when great success is going to find you. You might documente your grief on social media or give guideline for other to heal. What’s the gag?
King cups (reverse)
Y’all must be athletes. The people gagging are your teammates. They finally saw you crack. Some were even questioned if you were a human being. Because you are always put on a straight face no matter what. I sense that you had a panic attack in front of them. That was the only time you showed emotion and it was this intense.
What's actually the gaging ?
Queen swords
You’ve been carrying a deep sadness since childhood. You guys are extremely disciplined and private. Y’all also give amazing advice. They think you lost it but you actually lost your mind Because you never really had your emotions under control. You barely know how to cope. The only time that this insanity seems to leave you is when you are practicing your sport. You are actually pouring all you have to the only thing that gives you peace. They will never know that.

hallowhallowhallow~ my dear, sweet children of the scandy eye-man-candy korn! sorry for the trick, my treats ( ...>.>;; thiiis is why i try not to make promises about postin 'cause, before there was jersey, there was he(a)rsay aka me, the og unreliable narrator w/ great hair *flips* )
either way...it's not you; it's me. more specifically, its a fkn MRI that i have to schedule that i have been avoiding like the plague -- and all my responsibilities along with it. most regrettably of all, dearlings...
i missed the most chaotic bisexual day of the year! :( nOO! perolike call me randy marsh the way i RUINED stan's birthday AGAIN! ( also, aaa!~ can you believe ravenstan turned 22? not my eyes leaking :'} rs really is my fkn angel and my sweet son; i mean that. mi amorcitooo~
...i feel oddly motherly things for him in this chilis <333 ( also he really Hates his bday, but i promise him and jersey did something very cute for it xx ) BUT! more on that later, beloveds! because i am breaking my silence to make a Very Important Announcement:
I Put Jersey In COSPLAY. ;)))))
( ljsDsjldskds crYiiiiiN i'll fix the spelling l8r )
basically! every year for ravenstan's faux, goth heaux, celebprettyboy birthday ( aka HALLOWEEN <333 ) they throw gayven a MASSIVE star-studded, spooky-ooky pacifistic majorRAGER; its THE party!
( probably at whatever the fanciest hotel or hottest nightclub is in NYC at the moment -- or maybe i'll have it at the iconique sicktorian manwhorsion so that rs and jk can sneak off into stan's greenhouse and have a *british tolkien vc* cheeky lil snog ala the climax of rm ;) )
but every year, crimson dawn gayng does a themed group halloween costume ( last year, they went as greta gerwig barbie characters; jimmy went as alan, marj was weird barbie, keny was ken, naturally, and ofc, blonde ravenstan had to go as barbie; it was...Necessary. yw.
ALSO, very important to me that you know that kenny and ravenstan were specifically in the Legendary Hot Pink Cowboy Jumpsuits -- i just KNOW yersey was crying and throwing up; my man looked so GOOD...and bent over an Unncessary Amount Of Times; jail foreVA! )
BUT THIS YEAR!!!!! THIS YEAR!!!!! BECAUSE STAN IS A CRINGEY, BOYFAIL LOSER AND STANIME ENJOYER ( y'all are going to have to pry that hc from my Cold Dead Gay Hands! its is the Right answer! so either get with it or get steppin! Cry! Cope! LAME ASS DORK BOY RAVENSTANIME NATION, WE ARE SOOOOOOOOOO UP LOL! )
they are going as CHAINSAW MAN CHARACTERS. ( am...azing ;-; )
okay...so the lineup Might change? but as it stands atm, i am thinking jimmy is denji ( that...makes so much sense to me, i fear ), KENNY AS POWER IS THE RIGHT ANSWER SORRY, marjorine's hair was already a pink/red color, so i think makima is also just...right...yeah? but, uh...
aNYWAYS WHATS IMPORTANt???!!!! IS THAT RAVENSTAN IS AKI AND THEYRE FORCING JERSEYKYLE AT FUCKING NERF GUN POINT TO GO AS ANGEL!!!! ITS NECESSARY!!!! IT IS THAT SERIOUS.
like...oh my GOOOOOD. if you don't know what the hell i'm talking about, you might have to do some light googling BUT??? WHEN YOU DO PLEASE TELL ME YOU CAN SEE THE VISION. i love you so BAD, pierced and yatted up, edgy boy punk rock ravestaki with his hair up,
( shoutout to when teri ~hi teri~ told me that putting stan's hair up is a nina influenced event...too real; speaking of his hair? i think he is...still a little blonde, like maybe just the bottom half or MAYBE oOOH? ill do his lil eboy curtain bangs because...wow. delicious. thank you god. also i know his makeup and his guyliner was FIERCE, BITCH!
also...i am bringing the lipring chain back bc it is my FAVORITE edgy rs hot topic display acessory -- which means it's Also jersey's bc he has...what? TASTE! /for metal, taco bell cinnamon twists, **achem!** a passion for fashion...and also v pretty twinky nerdy emo boys. <3/ )
BUT UHHHHH...listen. if ANYONE ELSE ASKED, jk would tell you to kys and gut you. but...sigh. ravenstan is actually god's angel, HIS EYES ARE SO BEAUTIFUL AND BLUE AND LARGE, like??? when he reliquishes the matte black golden retriever puppy dog pout, bats his very long dark eyelashes at you, juts the lil stanopener ringed lip out at you and his eyes sparkle like gothboy rapunzel from tangled...it really is SOOOO over. i would fold. jerseykyle...did fold. sorry, king.
RAVENSTAN ALSO NEVER, EVER ASKS FOR ANYTHING?! like he is SO nice and selfless and kind. he never, ever, EVER asks for anything. jk actually like actively has to try and force him to ask for things; its his lil project because God Forbid that man do one less than saintly or self-indulgent thing...fyi, its that every year he asks for a Sword...
WHICH IS SO INSANE, LIKE ABSOLUTEly NOt--did they...get him a sword...i--maybe? oh my god. i knOW HE SCREEEAMED KSLSDkj )
but back to cosplay!jersey ( god, i love my life. when i tell you this was an epic win for pathetic loser gamer boys everywhere LIKE HAHA i got my FINE ASS preppy office siren boyfriend to wear The Outfit ) which...actually isnt that different to what he usually is wearing, tbh?
( also...getting ur messy eboy bf to wear any kind of suit and get all cleaned up, is actually a net win for normie preppy office siren boys everywhere so he Also Won; like it really is just worth it to see rs roll up his sleeve w the TAttoOOS WWWWHEEEW with the hair tie in his mouth while he puts his hair up...jk like E-Excuse Me *goes Feral* )
the halo was sooo cute btw, als the cheekbone guylighter? HOOOO. so...beautiful. i also think he got a little guyliner or shadow...just so i can have ravenstan homoerotically applying his makeup pre-party ;)) BUT THE IMPORTANTE PARTE IS THAT WE GET GORG SWOOPY FARRAH FAWCET JERSEY WITH HIS HAIR STRAIGHTENED WHICH rs also like E-Excuse Me *GOES FKN FERAL* in...SAAAAANE.
it was probably so long and luxurious, it was rs' finest work literally. i know it was steamy in that bathroom. unfortunately god bless him, rs is probably a little autistic ( y...eah...yeah ) and jk kept trying to make out with him, help, bc he's very cute when he takes his medication like a responsible king to combat the severe gaydhd and laserfocuses really hard on what he's doing ( ilysm transmaquilladorble rs xxx <333
he does all his makeup, btw, bc he's shaky asf and doesn't like to inconvenience the makeup artists; they just clean it up for him...he's rlly good, btw ) does the squint and stan lipbite and tilts his head and very gently holds your face...Wowza, truly. jkyle was like u are so beautiful to Me. rs like....what do you MeAN actually ethereal 6ft tall avant garde haute couture european vogue italia supermodel boy whose hair i am straightening in this lil bathroom in my big ass ratty teeshirt with my dumb eboy hair back in this headband sitting on the the bathroom counter trying not to hit my inhaler like a vape every five seconds because this does not feel real to me??? sklhdk In Luv! )
but yeah...super best cosplay stanime boyfriends DEVOURING! i also just want them to do the serran wrap kiss and have it go viral. also x2 if you are looking for them, so sorry, ik, they pregamed a little too hard and looked a little too fine and are probably making out and ruining the extensive labors of stan's beautiful star tattooed emo boy silver ringed tan hands one of which is in jkyle's very lucious straight hair and the other one is probably hiking up his dress shirt...woops!
Amen Gaymen.
#nina speaks#sorry for being awol i hope this makes up for it#but yeah...wow...wow.#IMMACULATE CONTENt#ravenstan won i love that for him lets go#net win for lame ass boyfail stanime stans everywhere#jkyle really was giving cosplay european supermodel#it was so unserious like wow...the straight hair...HOO#it was an EXPERIENCE also i love rs and his lil blonde eboy curtain bangs like he is so cute to me they so got him a sword#shoutout the kindness katana HE WON AgAIN#nina write the homoerotic bathroom scene i beg#it was soooo intense in there like jkyle as probably about to jump him but rs was too focused like autism moment#ANYWAYS DO YOU SEE THE VISION DO WE UNDERSTAND#ill edit the spelling later we have to cope

Harley D. Dixon 22
An amazing edit inspired by this story! (Cred to Cora_Line99) Harley D. Dixon's Pinterest Board! Harley D. Dixon's Playlist!
📖Chapter List.
Author's Note.
Okay, last time, I swear! Next chapter will be longer and more productive.
Enjoy! 😊
Next to me in the backseat of Rick's car, Carl prattles on and on about all the new wilderness facts I taught him.
"And there's these mushrooms called Morels. You can find them growing on trees and they're edible, too. They taste kinda nutty."
Rick answers him with another half-assed, wow, like he's been doin' the entire drive, making me giggle when I catch his amused expression in the rear-view mirror. In the car behind us is Maggie, Glenn, Jacqui, and Jimmy, who were all pretty keen on joinin' our shooting lessons after all the commotion of the past couple days. We didn't bother Carol with an invitation, though. She seems to wanna stay locked in the RV all day, not talkin' to nobody. I feel real bad for her. We all do. Dad once said that having a child changes your life, but I suppose losing one changes it all over again, too. People die, people mourn. Life moves on. The only reason I'm here is 'cause I'm pretending I'm that strong.
"Oh, and when you're skinning an animal, you gotta make sure you don't press too hard, otherwise you'll pierce the poop tube."
Rick lets out a disgusted chuckle. "What the Hell's a poop tube?"
"You know. It's where the poop goes down before it, uh...."
"God," He shakes his head, peeling off the road and driving us into a small, green field. "Don't go tellin' your mother that one."
Once he brings the car to a stop underneath the shade of a big tree, Carl and I unbuckle and hop out, Maggie pulling in beside us soon after. He opens the trunk, unzippers the duffel bag, and I wait patiently beside Carl as Rick hands out pistols and ammo to the other adults first.
"Okay. First thing's first, these are semi-automatic handguns." He professionally explains. "One bullet per squeeze of the trigger."
Carl grabs for one, grumbling annoyedly when it goes to Glenn instead, who easily loads a clip into the chamber.
Maggie copies his fluid movements, getting familiar with the weapon. "Where'd you come across so much firepower, Grimes?"
"Long story." He shares a funny glance with Glenn as he passes the next gun to Jacqui. "Give ya the short version, we went through a Hell of a lotta trouble to get our hands on a bag from my old station, kept it ever since." The last two go to me and Carl. "Remember. These ain't toys."
We both give understanding nods. I know they ain't toys. I got that drilled into my head since I first laid eyes on my family's supply.
"Alright, let's go line up in front of that fence over there, see if we can't hit some targets. I'll give y'all the rundown on how to do it."
As we move to the centre of the field, Rick walks the fence line, carrying the bag of empty tins and bottles he brought with him, placing each one a fair distance apart. After that, he tweaks everybody's stances and grips. Maggie's is near perfect. Glenn's is perfect. He gives us a little look that says, uh-huh, that's right, making Carl roll his eyes and Jacqui smack his shoulder. He goes pink when Maggie laughs. They begin shooting as soon as they get the green-light, and after Rick checks over Jacqui and Jimmy, he does the same with me and Carl.
"Got it down pretty good." He hums. All he needs to do is square Carl's shoulders. "Guess your little woodland fieldtrip went well, huh?"
His tongue stuck out, Carl takes a slightly-off shot at one of the tins before saying, "Yeah, it did. Harley taught me."
"Well, if y'all managed to hit a rabbit, you'll breeze through this no problem."
Line up the sights, breathe in, breathe out, squeeze. My heart leaps as the bottle I was aiming for explodes, but I keep a straight face.
Much easier than hittin' a rabbit. Also much easier than hitting a group of walkers in the middle of the woods.
Rick smiles. "Nice work, Harley. How's the hearing?"
At another bang from down the line, the ringing in my ear turns up a notch. I cringe, "It's ringin' again."
"Too bad we don't have earmuffs." He mutters to himself, before getting an idea. "Here." Stepping behind me, he cups both his hands over my ears. Ooh. That's much better. All the sounds are muffled now. It makes the splitting of metal and the shattering of glass a little more bearable. When I realize he's asking me something, I pull his wrist away and look up at him, curious. He chuckles. "I said, 'Is that better?'"
The corner of my mouth twitches upwards. Embarrased, I answer, "Yeah."
"Lemme know if you need a break or I'm squeezin' too hard." He says kindly before covering me again. "Here we go. Start shootin', missy."
For the next five minutes, I focus on pointing, breathing, and shooting, managing to hit my target once every three tries, and then once every two, and then I ain't missin' at all, anymore. Even though I can't hear 'em all too well, I see the others cheering me on every now and then.
After my last target goes flying off the fencepost, I lower the gun, tapping Rick on the arm to let him know to pull away.
"Doin' really well," He praises. "Especially with your reloadin', you got that down to an art. You need that break, now?"
I hate to admit it, but, "Yeah, I think so."
He understands. "Alright, go grab some water and sit in the shade for a bit. No harm done."
"Maybe when you come back," Carl adds cheekily, "I'll be able to hit even more targets than you."
I don't bother responding. I take myself back over to the cars, snatching up my water bottle from the pile on the ground before climbing onto the hood and taking a long sip. I spend some time just watching the others, doing my best to ignore the cruel headache crushing down on my skull but it's near impossible. I wish I could just reach inside my ear, rip out that ringing noise, and crush it like a bug beneath my boot.
At some point Glenn taps out as well, breaking away from the group and approaching me with a half-smile.
"Hey, Harley." He says, grabbing his water and a small snack. "You okay?"
"No. My stupid ear, it's hurtin' still." I complain, groaning wearily as he leans next to me on the car. "As if it bein' butt-ugly weren't enough."
"Hey, it's not ugly." He nudges me gently. "It's cool. Just like Rick's hat or your Dad's crossbow, it just makes you more interesting."
I don't get how people see badass or interesting when they look at my mangled ear-nub. Dad even called me beautiful. I'on get it.
When I don't respond, he hesitantly offers, "You wanna talk about it?"
"Not really." I mumble. Ain't much to talk about. Some things are better buried, like bodies in graves. "What 'boutchu? Why you over here?"
"I— I don't know." He shrugs. "Couldn't concentrate, I guess. I kept missing my shots, so I thought I'd quit while I was ahead."
I raise a brow. He must have something on his mind to be messin' up his aim like that. "You got sum' you wanna talk about?"
Chewing his lip nervously, he gazes out at Maggie as she reloads another clip into her gun's chamber, Rick as he jokes with Carl. Then with no warning, he awkwardly confesses, "Lori's pregnant. Rick doesn't know. And Maggie said she loves me but I didn't say it back."
Woah, uh... I don't know what to say. Lori and Rick are havin' a baby? Maggie and Glenn love each other, like boyfriend-girlfriend? Dang. No wonder his aim was shit. Those are some hefty secrets. I had enough trouble keepin' my one secret, but keepin' two?
Once I've swallowed down my surprise, I ask him incredulously, "Why you ain't tell nobody? Why you ain't tell Rick?"
I'm not too sure what happens when people find out they're having a baby, but don't they gotta, well, find out?
"Because Lori said she'd throw me back down the well if I said anything to him... I already spilled to Dale, though, and now you." Guilt crinkles expression. "Ugh, I'm so bad at secrets. I got her that test the other day, but now she doesn't even know if she wants to keep it."
Oh, that's right. The lady products. I didn't know you could decide if you want a baby or not once you got it. "How ya mean?"
He shakes his head. "Never mind. Just don't tell anyone else, please."
"Well, ya gotta tell him at some point, right?"
"I'm kinda just waiting to see what Lori does. It's her choice to make."
"And you and Maggie?" I prompt as he snaps off half his granola cookie and hands it to me. I take a bite. "She loves you?"
"Well, she said she did." He spends a long time chewing, thinking, staring at her. "I don't think she meant it. She's confused or something."
"I'on think Maggie's the type to get too confused 'bout things." I quip, doubtful. "She must'a meant it in some way, at least."
Lori guessed they was sweet on one another. I don't know too much about this sorta stuff. I never liked movies with princes and princesses in 'em, or books where the boy and girl kiss at the end. Real life ain't like that. There's things like suicide and custody. No, instead I liked the ones with adventure, like the Fox and the Hound and Alice in Wonderland. I liked pretending I was in some other, better world.
I know about Glenn, though, and I know I want him to be happy. If a strong, pretty girl like Maggie can do that for him, then I'm happy too.
"It's just, I didn't say it back." He sighs. "I was still too shaken up from this morning. Got scared, I guess. I mean, we barely know each other."
"Don't gotta. I loved Tank the second I saw him," I shrug, "I ain't know a thing about him."
"That was your guys' dog, right?" He smiles when I give a nod. I think he likes how simple my answers are. "So, you think I should talk to her?"
"If you don't, you'd be an idiot." I tell him. "Seen so much death by now that if a girl said she loved me, I'd count my dang lucky stars."
He chuckles at that. "You're not planning on stealing her from me, are you?"
"Might just."
"Whatever. Gimme that." He steals back the remainder of the cookie from my hand, making me squeal in protest. "I don't share with traitors."
"Hey!" He pops it in his mouth before I can swipe it back, whining, "Glenn!"
As he laughs around his mouthful, Rick comes up to us with a fond look on his face. "I gotta break somethin' up, here?"
I scoff. "He stole my damn food."
"Well, it was mine to begin with."
"Hey, no fighting while class is in session." He takes another cookie from the tupperware container and hands it to me. "Try pickin' on someone your own size next time." Taking a bite, I echo, yeah, somebody your own size. Then he asks me, "How's the ear doing?"
"Oh," I haven't even been paying attention to it until now, just Glenn. It's actually stopped ringing. "It ain't so bad anymore."
"That's good." He hums. "I reckon we'll be headed back soon, anyway, so just take it easy 'till then."
Glenn asks, "It's the sound of the gunshots, right?"
"Yeah. Definitely ain't doin' you any favors, huh?"
No shit. "I just wanna be able to shoot like you guys."
"Hey, you're pretty damn close already. You just need to start thinkin' about relying on quieter weapons, that's all. Like that knife of yours."
It's hard not to get angry when one mistake ruins a whole bunch other things. Lost an ear, gained tin-eye-dus, and now I can't even shoot no more. I was just startin' to get good, too. Ain't no use sulking, though, so I suck it up like a big girl and listen to Rick's advice.
"Knives are better, anyway." I say off-handedly, trying to convince myself of my own words. "Can't skin no rabbit with a gun."
He smiles and gives my shoulder a pat. "Exactly."
The three of us finish off a couple more cookies and talk about random stuff, like Rick's first day at his cop academy's shooting range and who we think is the best shot outta everyone still practicing. We don't talk about the baby in Lori's tummy, though. I feel a little giddy looking at Rick and knowin' something so exciting about him that he don't. It's like tryna hide a surprise party from someone. I just wanna tell him!
Wow, a baby. I ain't never been around one of those before. For once in my life, I won't be the youngest.
That might'a made me sad a couple days ago, but I think I'm ready to be growing up now.
Besides, I'll always be my Dad's baby no matter how old I am.
On the way home, Carl takes to rambling about how much he loved shooting, and how he can't wait to go again sometime.
Author's Note.
Harley's so lucky to have such a supportive group of people looking after her. I'm jealous!!
Thanks for reading, everyone! 💙

The Ledge #570: Holiday Playlist
"Shambolic" maybe an overused word when it comes to my favorite band, The Replacements, but it's an apt term for tonight's show. Or at least the first ten minutes. Yes, it's a mini-disaster. After airing this week's selection for the "52 Weeks of Teenage Kicks" series by The Vibrators, I talked about the fact that you can now purchase the version I world premiered last week by Jeremy Porter at his bandcamp. (http://jeremyporter.bandcamp.com). In fact, please go purchase it now, as all proceeds go to the Hater Kitty Army. But after introducing a re-airing the tune, my broadcast program decided to completely rearrange my playlist and a completely different tune aired for a few seconds.
I quickly fixed the issue, though, and everything was fine after that. Tonight's show is a collecton of tunes that I've been listening to in my spare time. There's a set devoted to my favorite rock and roll couple, Amy Rigby and Wreckless Eric, inspired by "Do You Remember This", a clever little tale of their relationship that may or may not be true. There's a set that sort of centers around Johnny Thunders, beginning with a couple of Kinks songs before heading into a couple of different directions.
There's also a long set inspired by Some New Kind of Kick, the memoir of Kid Congo Powers. Wow, what a story. What a life! A chance meeting on the street with future Gun Club leader Jeffrey Lee Pierce led to him picking up the guitar, and withn a few years he was a part of not only the Gun Club but The Cramps and Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds!
Other sets include a handful of fabulous Rum Bar Records new releases, and favorites by the likes of Exploding Hearts, T. Rex, The Knitters, and others. Concluding the show is a little tribute to the late Tina Turner with a track from her fabled 1969 run opening for The Rolling Stones.
And like always, I must again plead with y'all for more versions of "Teenage Kicks". If you are a musician, or have any contact with artists that could record their own take on the classic, please contact me!

Maverick X Reader ~Can we try again?~
Warnings:Angst, slight smut, curse words, fluff 18+
You and Pete were best friends growing up, like y'all did everything together to the point he became part of your family and you became part of his family. You could even remember the day you two met, it was the first day of kindergarten and you were the new girl at the school. You had stumbled up to the bus stop you were assigned to, and waited for the bus along with some other kids twice your age.
When you spotted the yellow bus everyone lined up, but of course the older kids pushed and shoved you to the back of the line. Once it was your turn to climb up the stairs you nervously asked the bus driver if this was going to Beaver elementary school. The driver nodded yes as you made your way onto the bus, instantly kids moved to the outside of the seats making it harder for you to find one, until one kid didn't.
He had raven black hair with piercing green eyes, he also had on a airforce one shirt and a pair of blue jeans. So you plopped down next to the boy, which he greeted you with a big toothy smile. "I'm Pete, what's your name?" "I'm uh, y/n." "Well nice to meet you. I'm assuming your new right?" "Yeah." You whispered as you looked down at your backpack. "I can show you to your classroom if you would like y/n?" "Uh okay." "Awesome!" He chuckled as you did to.
By the time high school rolled around it was obvious to everyone that you were a couple, but in reality you weren't you were just good friends. In fact the two of you were crowned homecoming king and queen your senior year. But before the two of you could even graduate bad news had struck you, you'd have to move to California because of your father's job.
So here you both are in the middle of the woods hiking. "Pete?" "Yeah, y/n?" Pete stopped dead in his tracks as he looked at your worried face. "Y/n, what's wrong?" "Me-me and my family are moving." You sobbed as he held you close. "Hey is thats a good thing, right?" "No Pete, I'm moving to California." "What" Pete whispered softly. "I'm sorry, it-it wasn't my idea" "Shh, it's okay." "No it's not Pete! Your my best-" Pete cut you off in with a hard kiss before breaking it.
"Pete" "I know it's not your fault and I just thought that if I kissed you, you'd-" This time it was you who cut him off in a kiss.
That was 5 years ago, when you both confessed your feelings for each other with a kiss. So here you are working on the Top Gun planes that the aviators will be flying here in 2 days. The commanding officer Viper walked onto the hanger letting out a low whistle. "Miss y/l/n are these jets in tip top shape?" Viper said as he touched the jet. "Ah yes sir, just putting on the last nut." "Okay, thank you y/n for all of the overtime." "Your welcome sir!" You saluted to him before he left the hanger.
That afternoon, you sat on your porch and watched as all of the new pilots made there way to there new homes for the next couple of months. As you were watching you noticed a very familer set of black hair in the distance, no it can't be you thought as the man shut the door behind him, as another man did to. "Pete?"
The next morning you had a written letter on your door step from Viper stating that you had to show up to the first day of class. So that morning you arrived at work a tad bit early from everyone else because you wanted the planes to be in tip top shape as Viper said. So you placed your aviators on and you made your way to the hanger were the class would be held in.
When you arrived Viper and the rest of the commanding officers were standing in front so that the class would face them. So you took a deep breath and walked down the isle whilst being introduced. "Ah, here she is our head plane mechanic y/f/n. She will be your go to gal if you notice anything off, I mean anything off with your aircraft, you will report it to her."
When you got up to the group you nodded your head and faced the whole class, while taking off your sunglasses. "Hello, and welcome! I'm y/n your lead mechanic. If you notice anything I mean anything don't be afraid to swing by my area." You smiled as you scanned the room, but someone familiar once again caught your eye. It was Pete Mitchell.
Pete looked your way, as his eyes grew wide with surprise as the man next to him tried to get his attention back. "Alright pilots! I expect you here right away in the morning for our first training! Class dismissed."
"I see someone eyeing you up." Charlotte the other flight instructor said as the pilots got up and left the hanger.
"What's his name?" You asked not taking your eyes off of him."Pete "Maverick Mitchell, why?" "Oh just wondering." You said as you walked away from Charlotte so you could work on your personal plane. Once you arrived you shed off your jumpsuit and was left with a army green shirt with bleach washed jeans. You walked over to your radio and turned it to country. After that you walked over to your piper cub and started it up, just to hear if it needed some well needed tuning to the engine.
Once you were satisfied with the way it sounded you killed the engine and checked the tire pressure, instantly you heard a low hiss coming from one of the front tires. So you walked over to your work bench and got out the supplies that you needed to repair the flat tire. "So your our head mechanic I saw this morning!" You look up to see 2 two men still dressed in there flight suits. One had frosted blonde tips as for the other man he was oddly tall.
"Uh, yeah I'm your mechanic. What can I do for you fellas?" "We just wanted to get to know the base, you know?" The blonde one said. "Uh, okay. I'm y/n aka Leaf." "You fly?" "Of course, why would I be fixing up the Piper huh?" "Explains enough. I'm Ron "Slider" Kerner." "Howdy." "And I'm Tom "Iceman" Kazansky." "Noice, now if you don't mind I'm going to be tinkering around." "Ok, then. We will get going." "Bye Leaf" "Bye Iceman, Bye Slider."
You waved goodbye to the pilots as you went back to work. After a while you went over to your work bench and placed all your tools in the right spot before heading back home.
Once you got home you hopped into the shower, and got changed so you could go to the local bar. Once satisfied with your look, you wandered down to the beach bar. In the distance you could smell burgers, booze and cigarettes as you got closer to the bar.
Once there you opened the doors and found a empty stool at the bar. "Hey, Leaf what can I get you?" "You know the usual." You sighed as you dug out a 20 from your pocket. "Alright one rum and coke coming up." "Thanks, Garrett." "Anytime my dear." Garrett handed you your drink beneath a coaster with the bars logo on it.
You started to look around as you saw many pilots with there whites on, then you saw Iceman and Slider with Pete and his friend. So you picked up your drink and made it there way. "Hey, Ice and Slider." "Hey, if it isn't Leaf!" "Hi guys" "Oh, this is Goose or Nick Bradshaw." Slider said as he pointed to a man next to Pete. "And this is Pete "Maverick"-" "Mitchell" You finished Sliders sentence. "Holy shit." You heard Goose say as he stared at you.
"Wait, your the girl Mav keeps on explaining to me. How did you to-" "We grew up together." Maverick said as he stared at you. As he stared at you another memory came flooding back to you.
"Pete" "Hm." Pete hummed as he held your naked body close to his, under the covers. "I'm gonna miss you Pete." He sighed before he leaned on his elbow looking down at your tired face. "I know I'm gonna miss you to baby." "I'm sorry Pete this whole moving had to happen." "Hey it isn't your fault love, your dad found a better job to keep a roof over your heads." "I know, Pete." "I love you." "He whispered as he cradled your face with his hand. "Pete I love you to." Pete leaned down and gently placed a kiss on your lips before getting up to help you put on some clothes before he did to.
After that he crawled back into the bed with you and cuddled you from behind. "Pete?" "Yeah, love" "I'm scared for this next chapter in my life in California. A country girl going to the big city. It doesn’t have a ring to it." "I'm sure you'll be fine baby, remember I'm a call away." "I know." You said as you kissed his knuckles.
Once you moved away Pete and you would talk almost every day but then he stopped calling. During that time you thought he broke up with you, but later it did confirm in a letter from him stating that the navy owns his ass now and he needed to brake up with you. You still remember that letter and how it was crinkled into your fist as you cried and cried, that the fact you lost your best friend to the navy. In fact you framed that letter and hung in your room as a daily reminder to keep on moving through the break up.
"So wait, a second Mav and you were friends!" "We were!" You snarked at Goose. "Listen it's been a long day/night I can't deal with this shit right now." You said as you tried to hide your sadness. "I'm sorry" Was all you heard from Pete as you walked away from the trio.
You walked up to Iceman and his RIO and just stood there. "Leaf, you good?" Slider asked as he hit the pool stick. "Yeah, just. It's Maverick." "What the hell did that punk do?" Iceman said very protectively as you jumped a bit. "We had a past." You whispered loud enough so only those two could hear. "You two had a past together?" "Yeah. We were best friends until he broke up with me 3 years ago." "Aw Leaf, it's okay!" "I know, I'm being a baby." "No, your fine I've had some relationships like that. Trust us your not the only one."
"Awe thanks Ice!" You said playfully. After an hour of getting to know the trio you decided it was time to head back home although you only had one drink. "See ya later guys!" "By Leaf." You started your way our of the bar when you felt a hand on your shoulder. "Y/n, can I talk to you?" You turned around on your heels and saw Pete standing there. "Go away Maverick, I don't wanna hear your excuses of me and you. I know it was all my fault so just drop it."
You hissed at him as you continued your way out of the bar and to the outside. Once you got out there you let out a sigh and started your way home. That night you didn't sleep for shit, all you could think of was Pete's face and how he really cared for you when you two were dating. Hell you remember when you had your first panic attack in front of him. At first he was ever loving confused but as you started to studder profanities about how you looked or why should he be dating you. He instantly took you into his arms as you shuddered in his embrace. "Hey, hey it's okay. You are human and a wonderful one to be exact. I love everything about you y/n. And screw the rest of them questioning my decision to be with you."
The next morning you grabbed the coffee grounds and put it into the coffee maker and waited for the best caffeine in the world. Whille waiting you made breakfast and got dressed for the day. Once your coffee was done you just grabbed the whole coffee jug from the maker and made your way down to work.
When you arrived you placed your backpack on your chair as you drank big gulps of the hot liquid, before opening up the big hanger doors to let the breeze fill the room. "Y/n?" You looked in the direction of the voice to see Pete in his flight suit along with his helmet in one of his hands. "Maverick, what do you want?" You scoffed as you picked up the coffee jug and drank from it. "You still do that?" He questioned as he moved closer to me. "Yeah, I do. Why are you here?" "What do you mean?" "What I mean, is why are you here in my hanger?"
He let out a sigh before speaking. "Because I want to explain everything." "Oh you already did Maverick." You said as you moved over to your desk. "No- no I didn't y/n. Jesus it hurt for me to write that fucking letter, it torn me to pieces because you were thousands of miles from me! I wanted you right there to say goodbye to me, tell me to come home to besides my parents. I missed you, I missed us."
You felt a tear roll down your cheek as you looked at your wall of pictures, there hung a picture of you and Pete at graduation. "Mav-" "I know your upset with me, but you were the one who technically left me." "Left you?!? Maverick I had no choice!" "I know, and and." "And what Pete." You said as you swiveled in your chair, as you did that his eyes widen.
"What did the fucking Navy steal my boyfriends heart cause I think it did Pete." "It wasn't the navy's fault!" "Then who's fault is it Pete?" "Ours because we went on our separate ways in life " "mine wasn't controlled Pete! Yours was!" By now you were angry crying. "Listen, I knew were I was gonna be stationed at, it was near March air force base and damn well I was gonna try to find you."
"I was so desperate to find you y/n, but after a while I gave up." Pete got down on his knees so he could face you, as he took your hands in his. "I'm sorry that we broke up and I'm sorry this all happened but I wanna give us a second chance, what do you say Leaf?" You looked up at him with a grin before you pulled him into a much needed hug.
When you broke the hug Pete leaned in as both of your lips clashed together in a very passionate kiss. You felt him grab your hips before placing you safely in his lap as you wrapped your arms around his neck. "MAV WERE ARE YOU, WE'RE GONNA- oh." You both broke the kiss as you heard Goose walk into the hanger. "Oh thats right, sorry Leaf." Maverick helped you back up on your feet as he wrapped his arm around your waist.
"You two can explain later. Come on Mav!" By now Goose was dragging Maverick out of the hanger. "Bye Mav bye Goose." You waved as your boyfriend and Goose walked or you should say run to class

A "You" Problem
Fanfiction _ The Quarry
Fictober 2022/ Prompt #9: “Sounds like a you problem.”
TW: Major character deaths, murder, Dark Travis.
Summary: Laura was never one to pull her punches – verbal or physical – but she never thought she would push Travis this far.
Author's Note: This is not how I see Travis (see my "Somethin' Bad" fic and you'll know), but some of y'all have put out amazing Dark Travis fic, and I've been dying to dabble. Enjoy!
.....
Laura Kearney wasn’t one to pull her punches – verbal or physical. So when Travis Hackett led the way to his parent’s bedroom to find her some clothes he expected the venom she shot at him.
“Amazing. Just amazing. No wonder it’s taken six years. What the hell are you doing each month? I bet you don’t even use those cages downstairs. They’re just for show. I mean, I knew you were dumb, Travis, but - ,” she almost ran into the Sheriff as he whirled on his heel to stare into her piercing blue eyes.
“You have a very limited scope on this situation, ma’am, so don’t go spouting your wisdom to me when you couldn’t even follow the one good bit I threw your way.”
Laura was suddenly very aware of her nakedness, but she lifted her chin defiantly. “You were being bossy.”
“And you know nothing about that, right?” Travis quipped, cocking his head to the side. “Maybe if you’d pushed your ego to the side just once - ,” he lifted his finger, glaring at her, and she shoved it to the side.
“You know what your problem is, Hackett?”
“You.” He stared at her without blinking.
She rolled her eyes. “Please. You’ve loved every second since Max and I arrived. Gave you some lame sense of importance by bossing us around, and keeping us in those damned cells.”
Travis glared at her, leaning forward. “Most of my family is dead tonight because I saved you instead of letting Chris kill you both that night. And you know what? I’m beginning to wish I’d let him.”
“Oh yeah?” Laura asked, cocking her hip to the side, arms crossed defiantly across her chest. “Well, that sounds like a you problem.”
Travis’ eyes flashed, darker than she’d ever seen them. It was her only warning, and he was on her lightning quick. She was clearly stunned at how quickly he’d moved, shoving her against the wall with a hand around her throat. Laura didn’t think he meant to hurt her, only scare her.
But then his grip tightened, and he bared his teeth at her like a wild animal.
“Hey! Hey, let her go!” Ryan shouted. He’d been silent until now to give them a chance to work through whatever they obviously needed to work through, but this was too much. He reared back like he was going to charge Travis, but he wasn’t fast enough.
The gun was in Travis’ hand so fast Laura couldn’t help thinking a man his age shouldn’t be that fast. Shouldn’t be this strong, but here she was, standing on her tiptoes, gasping for breath, and clawing at his arm like a wild cat. One second Ryan was there, and the next his body was on the ground.
If Laura could’ve screamed she would have. Or cried. Or thrown up. Another wall covered in blood, another room marked by death.
Travis turned his dark eyes back to Laura, face bloodier than before, and she knew. He’d held on too tightly to the rope. All those bodies, all the dead weight, how could he not fall in the well? And maybe, just maybe…
He’d asked her for help. Shared information with her. Saved her life. He’d tried to do the right thing even if it was in the worst possible way imaginable.
And what had she done?
Provoked him. Antagonized him. Tricked him. Lied to him. Killed his family. Abused every tiny bit of good that remained in his blood soaked soul.
And for what? Did she really deserve to die because of it?
Travis seemed to think so. The gun was still in his hand, but the other continued to tighten like a noose around her throat. She was screaming his name in her mind, begging and pleading for another chance, for mercy he’d already shown a dozen times over.
And in the back of her mind, in a low snarl that resembled more wolf than man, she heard him say, “That sounds like a you problem, ma’am.”

Chapter 12 - The Development, Pt. III
Unprofessional Bard's Masterlist
Losing My Religion Series Masterlist
Previous Chapter • Next Chapter
Pairing: Joel Miller x Female!Reader/OC
Warnings: nightmares, patrol action, detailed description of bloodshed/violence, jealousy, hurt/comfort-ish.
Summary: A patrol gone wrong.
Word Count: 6.030
Author's Note: It's been almost a month since I updated I think I'm so sorry y'all 😭 I'll be done with language school in the following days so I'll update a lot more often and catch up with requests!!
Enjoy!
"Look, there!" Kiki whispered and pointed at a bush at the edge of a cliff. You, her and your husbands were hunting anything you could find for the town, and it was apparently going to be a rather large looking hare.
You looked around quickly for signs of movement and asked, bow at the ready: "Where?"
"I think it's hiding in the bush," She spoke quietly as you and Joel went towards the edge with quiet steps– you from the left and him from the right. He was quick with a pistol, but bullets were a last resort for hunting as it ruined the carcass and the meat, plus it was too loud.
"You see it?" You asked Joel and drew your arm back as far as it went and held your breath, looking for the animal desperately.
"I don't think it's–"
Blam!
The arrow sprang at the unexpected, loud sound of the pistol from behind you going off and something piercing your back. You heard Joel shout your name as you fell on your side, the bow slipping from your hands. As soon as you raised your eyes up at him, a second shot rang out in the air and a scream left your lips at the sight of Joel collapsing across you with a hole on the side of his head.
"Joel!"
You woke up with a loud gasp and sweat trickling down the sides of your face. Panting heavily, you couldn't speak for a while, sitting and trying to catch your breath. As soon as you snapped out of it, your hand went to look for Joel, where he was supposed to be in bed next to you, but he wasn't there.
"Joel?!" You called for him, running a hand through your hair and launching yourself out of bed and downstairs in the meantime. It was noon, the weather was a tad bit more hotter than usual. You practically ran downstairs as soon as you heard chatter coming from the dining room.
With the pounding in your ear and the fear that struck your heart, you couldn't hear who it was, but your jaw clenched and the blood flow in your veins came to a stop when you saw it was none other than Kiki and Joel sitting at the table, laughing.
"Oh, hey (Y/N)," Joel took notice of your abrupt entrance, but didn't seem bothered by your tense expression. "We were just talking about you."
"... Were you now?" You murmured.
"Come sit," Joel pointed at your usual seat at the head of the table, where you proceeded to walk towards. You entered the room with a dry mouth and slumped shoulders, your eyes never leaving Kiki's evil looking ones despite her smile.
"Yeah, she brought you these flowers and a letter," Joel extended them over to you with a curious, unusual smile spread across his lips. You were utterly dumbfounded as well as fuming, glaring daggers at him, then slowly took the said items from his hand.
Another thing that irked you was how Kiki was sitting in Joel's usual place across the other head of the table, while your husband was sat to your left. You looked at the flower for a while, but couldn't identify it, so you impatiently ripped through the neat package of the letter in question– giving hostile stares to them both as you did.
The paper was folded a few times to resemble a gift card. On the outside, it read Congratulations!
A nervous glance was sent Joel's way, who was flashing his teeth at you. Something he hadn't done in a long while. You then sent a nasty glare to Kiki, then it lowered down to the card in front of you, and with slow movements, you opened it: You don't have to worry about a thing anymore!
Before you could even think what the hell, the cocking of a gun from across you had you looking up at the speed of sound. Wide, bewildered eyes meeting the muzzle of a pistol held by Kiki, who now stood up across you.
You weren't given a moment to form a single word, when the gun went off and you felt it go through your skull, sending your body backwards. The force of it sent you falling with the chair, a horrified and confused expression painted across your face as the back of your head hit the floor.
You saw Joel walk over to you and kneel down with a blank expression on his face, saying your name...
Over... and over... and over again.
"(Y/N)?!" A sharp voice and a firm hand shaking you by the shoulder was what you heard for a brief second before your eyes shot open and a scream rippled through you.
You couldn't see who it was, but you'd know who the arms wrapped around you belonged to anyway.
"(Y/N), it's okay!" Ellie's worried voice somehow matched the grip she had around your body. You must've fallen asleep on the couch, where you had laid down to kill some time before the sweep. You held onto her tightly and pushed yourself back into her embrace as you let out a wail after a deep breath. "It's okay, I got you Dolly..."
You felt her hand caressing your back soothingly as she sat behind you and didn't let her hold weaken around your trembling form. Leaning down, you turned around and pressed your face into her shoulder, and she managed to hug you more properly.
It took a moment, but your attack turned into just hyperventilating, and that came to a stop eventually as well– Ellie just murmured assurances and made sure her grip around you never failed.
You pulled back when you felt yourself calm down: "I'm sorry–"
"It's okay," Ellie rubbed your back in a comforting motion, which made you feel a little better somehow. "You've nothing to apologise for... I hate bad dreams."
"Oh, I hate this one specifically," You chuckled and sniffed. "You think, after a long time of dealing with them, you'll get used to them, but you never really do."
She nodded: "Yeah... You want some water? Tommy sent me to grab you for the sweep."
You groaned and rubbed your temples: "I'd like that, I just neeed a moment to collect myself."
While Ellie was in the kitchen, you put your elbows on your thighs and held the back of your neck, trying but failing miserably to remove the images from your mind. At that moment, you felt the fear in your heart slowly turn into disdain and anger. Your breathing was heavy, and the beginnings of a terrible headache made its presence known.
"Here," Ellie's soft steps made you look up and take the glass from her with a quiet thank you. "You... wanna talk about it?"
You shook your head sideways as you took a big gulp: "Not now... Thank you though."
Twenty minutes later, you arrived at the stables to find Tommy and Joel. The sight of your husband almost made you run up, jump on and kiss him like a child, but you were a woman nearing her fifties, and Joel was a man alreadt in his fifties. Plus, you didn't want to worry him.
"Sorry, I fell asleep," You couldn't help the smallest relieved smile on your face as you approached them with quick steps. Joel didn't look very amused while Tommy urged you both to get going.
Since you were late, which wasn't a common occurrence, Joel had sent the others beforehand and decided to wait for you: "You okay?"
"Sure," You shrugged once you got on your horses.
"You look very pale," He observed, but when the doors opened, you both rode off. You rode fast, so you didn't talk more until you arrived at the meeting point.
The both of you were still a little tense from the previous day, and it hurt you –him too no doubt– but you both knew things could quickly escalate into a fight, and that you both needed to cool your heads before you could sit down and talk.
"We'll talk, okay? After we're done with the patrols altogether," You spoke softly before you both reached the others, to which he nodded with an expression devoid of tension.
"They're here," Bruce tilted his head your way as you waved briefly.
"Right." Joel said after the short greetings. "Kiki and I will search the houses, starting from the one beside the library. (Y/N) and Ward– You two'll search the library while Walt and Bruce will go for that little grocery store on the corner. Anything you can't handle? Holler and come back here."
Everyone gave a single nod as he explained how the sweep was going to go. You shared a brief look with Joel, then tilted your head at the library with a quiet come on to Ward. He nodded and followed you around to the sides of the building to find an opening– a window did the trick, and there were spores inside, but no movement: "Masks on."
After putting them on, you quietly jumped in and Ward followed; you then went back to the entry to open the doors in case you needed an emergency exit, then grabbed your rifle tightly and nodded at him to start moving; your mind raced with thoughts about the amount of fungal growth on the walls, how Ward was going to react if you got into trouble– if he was going to be the reason you'd get into trouble, and at the back, Kiki and Joel.
It wasn't long before you started hearing whimpers and gasps of runners inside. You whispered to him to follow you into the section behind the register, pulling out your knives and starting to clear the infected one by one. If Ward didn't grunt or groan too loudly, you imagined things would go more smoothly with patrols as he drew too much attention. He fought very angrily, like a Berserker, all the time; but he had it under control a lot more comparing to his first times.
It went well for the most part, carefully clearing the whole floor took as long as Kiki and Joel to get out of the house they were searching. When you were looking for a way to the second floor that wasn't barricaded, Joel stepped inside the library with his mask on: "Everything going okay?"
"Yup, this floor is cleared," You started walking towards him, Ward following suite. "I can still hear some infected upstairs though, but all the stairways are closed off–"
You suddenly stopped, the abruptness making Ward halt as well. Suddenly realising how unstable the ground was, you looked down very slowly, the squeaking of rotten wood beneath your feet making you tense up.
"Dolly?" Joel took a step towards you.
"Wait, no!" Your head and hands shot up to stop him. He stood right on the line where the wood and concrete connected: "Oh, fuck."
"What?!" Ward looked around.
"We're gonna fall if we're not careful," You spoke, on edge, alerting everyone and suddenly wondering where Kiki was. "Ward, you're closer to that counter, right?"
"Yeah," He turned around without moving his feet.
"Okay," You carefully put a foot forward and felt the wood shift unnervingly. "At the count of three, we jump."
"What's going on?" Kiki suddenly appeared out of nowhere and walked in, startling all of you.
"Stay back!" You cried out when she stepped right on the edge of the wooden surface, a step ahead of Joel.
As if she was doing it on purpose, with an ugly expression on her face, she took a particularly harsh step forward: "I don't understand, what's–"
A loud crack made your head shoot up, bewildered eyes meeting Kiki's at first, then Joel's panicked ones. Now or never! your brain screamed as you extended an arm out for Joel, and jumped forward.
————
Joel extended his arm out the same time you did, quickly kneeling down and leaning forward to grab you, but the wood was quicker. The distance between you two was too far, so the rotten ground swallowed you before your fingers could brush against Joel's.
"(Y/N)!" Joel shouted when a fearful shriek left your throat, watching you fall into the darkness. He quickly raised his head with great fear only to see Ward hanging on the edge of the counter, struggling grunts spilling from his lips. He tried to climb, but his hands slipped, and it caused him to fall in with you.
"Ward!" Kiki screamed. She had stepped back, but did nothing as she watched you both fall. Joel was too out of it to pay attention to either of them, he yelled your name desperately into the hole on the ground when it got quiet, the insufficient amount of light frustrating him. The dust and spores which rose with the commotion made it harder for him to see, even with his flashlight.
You were gone.
Slipped out of his touch the last second.
————
Your soul left your body when the makeshift floor gave out and you felt yourself fall. You couldn't reach Joel in time, and the look of terror on his face got branded onto your memory with hot iron at that exact moment.
"Oof!" Your chest hit what you assumed to be a bookshelf after you fell some distance. It gave out and two shelves broke under your ribs, which knocked the breath out of you, then you felt the slow collapsing of the bookshelf backwards. You panicked, then fell a second time on your arm. A pained, howl-like sound left you when you did, a few books falling on top of you. A particularly thin but open book's pages cut your bare shoulder as you shielded your face to protect your mask while everything fell, and fell, and fell.
Then, suddenly, there was another loud crash with a painful shout, which let you know Ward couldn't make it out and fell with you.
Then, there was silence.
You heard Joel shout your name once, then twice. Your head was spinning, and there was an irritating ringing in your ear which mostly cancelled out every other noise around. When you realised your consciousness remained, by some miracle, you checked your mask for any cracks before trying to move out of the fetal position you were in.
An all glass mask still intact, you didn't seem to have broken any bones (except for a few ribs probably) and you were still conscious– Some luck, huh.
Still kicking.
"I'm okay!" You shouted once you made sure everything was in place, but you were, in fact, not okay.
"Oh Christ," you heard Joel cry out and realised you were trapped under the collapsed bookshelf, but you were able to drag yourself out of there and stand up. Suddenly, you began hearing the growling and gasping of infected, but you couldn't see them.
"Where's Ward?!" Kiki shouted and you immediately began searching for him, turning on your flashlight.
"Here–" You heard a growl from a few feet away from you. From the sound of it, he was struggling as if he was being crushed. Your head was spinning, but you still tried to locate him.
"There's infected down here," You spoke. "We need to get out of here ASAP, where are you Ward?"
"Under– Here–" He coughed and you saw a fallen bookshelf move to your left. As quietly as possible, you skipped over to him and helped him lift the shelf off his back.
"Shit!" You immediately pulled out your pistol when you saw a stalker spring free, and fired two shots into it's face before it could reach Ward.
"(Y/N)?!" You heard Joel again. "That's it, we're coming down there, hang on!"
"No!" You walked back to where he was kneeling and a small wave of relief washed over you when you saw his face. "Stay there, we'll find a way to get out of here."
"No (Y/N)–!"
"She's right!" Kiki suddenly tugged at Joel's arm and it took all of your might to yell at her to back off, so you bit your tongue: "We're making too much noise, we don't know what's down there."
It became quiet again, which was when a door across the place you were in crashed open with the obnoxious clicking noises, followed by drawn out chokes and gasps.
You and Ward stood very still at the sudden intrusion, one hand going to your knife and the other to your pistol, trying to breathe as quietly as possible.
————
"We're going to cover for them if anything goes wrong, ready yourself," Joel growled at the woman beside her and got in position, his rifle at the ready, aiming it at the clicker closest to the his wife and Ward.
Kiki did as he told and aimed her pistol at a runner. They quietly watched as the pair sneaked around, but it was proving to be very hard because of the pieces of wood and books everywhere. Joel watched you motion Ward to go around the other way, no doubt to cover more ground.
Soon, a runner spotted you mid-takedown, and launched itself in your direction. Joel's rifle went off without hesitation, while Kiki was keeping an eye on her husband. It all went to chaos in a matter of seconds.
After a few torturous minutes, the infected in the area were cleared, you stepped out to the light and spoke: "Okay, I think I see the light from the other side of the door they came in, maybe there's a way that'll lead us out of here."
Joel sighed, and gulped: "Are you okay– Clean? How hurt are you?"
"I'm fine, Joel, we're clean," You looked back at Ward briefly. "You should go and warn Walt and Bruce... we'll come back with a full sweep team another day."
"Okay, just be–" Joel spoke worriedly, only to be cut off by a loud, monstrous growl from below.
"Shit!" He saw you turn your head away and at that moment, a bloater put a hole through where the door was.
His heart dropped at the sight: "Be careful!" He immediately got up and started firing at the bloater, drawing its attention to him while the both of you hid and ran. Kiki followed suit and fired a little more, but Joel stopped her: "Save your bullets, let's go grab Walt and Bruce."
They ran out — the sun had almost disappeared by the time they made it to the street of the grocery store.
————
The fire Joel and Kiki opened drew the bloater's attention enough for you and Ward to sneak behind it, but it didn't take the bloater too long to hear your footsteps.
You desperately looked for a place to hide, or a higher ground– anything that would buy you some time to prepare a molotov or two. As you did, you also found a an extra bottle and some cloth lying around: It was mandatory to carry a bottle of mixed gasoline and oil in case people were stuck in situations similar to yours, and you'd never been more thankful for the rule.
The bloater came through the hole just when you'd grabbed the bottle, so before you could prepare anything, you started running again. Ward was aimlessly firing behind you two, so you stopped him: "Save your bullets!"
He did as you asked and followed you through an L shaped, long corridor: "What the hell is that?!"
"It's a bloater!" You turned the corner, tucking a rag into the bottle you found and began taping the cloth in place. It was hard, but it was also second nature to you. "These things are fucking hard to kill— You gotta make each bullet count, you hear me?!"
A soft exploding sound made you gasp, watching in slow motion as Ward ducked the spores launched at him. The bloater had stopped at the corner as you both ran to the other end where there were dual doors.
"Don't stop running, we gotta knock those doors down!" You yelled and braced yourself, Ward doing the same. Your eyes quickly darted around the door to see if it had any locks that would prevent your launch, and it didn't, but you knew then that the door was locked from the other side.
Before you could stop yourself, not realising you were too close to the door, you slammed into it and fell back with much force– as you had predicted.
Ward met the same fate, but he just stumbled backwards. You realised the bloater was getting closer: "We can't let it corner us, check that door!"
There was a wooden door to the left, which Ward opened without effort, and you rolled inside right before a spore bomb hit you. He quickly closed the door behind you and pushed a vending machine in front of it as you instantly collected yourself and poured the mix through the small hole on the neck of the bottle with shaky hands.
Not long later, the bloater walked through the wall next to the door as if it were nothing, making Ward curse. You immediately pulled out your lighter and set the rag on fire, and with a cry, threw it against its chest. While it was distracted you started firing into its head, not realising what Ward was doing– With incredible power, he pushed the vending machine towards the bloater and overthrew it. The bloater stumbled backwards and growled, Ward's actions making you panic.
"There!" He yelled when he turned towards you and pointed at a big hole on the wall behind you– he quickly boosted you through and jumped to the other side while the bloater was still recovering from the fire.
"You need to cover me so I can make more molotoves," You said and started making another while looking around. You were in a bigger and more spacious area, and you saw a way out immediately: A small drawer shelf and another vending machine next to it – a makeshift stair which led to an upper floor, where light came in.
But before you could even point at the place, the bloater came crushing through the wall, making you both jump and run away.
"Over here, you ugly bitch!" Ward hollered and drew the bloater's attention while you made quick work of a second molotov. Too focused on it, you almost didn't hear Ward shout: "(Y/N) look out!"
You quickly rolled to the side as the bloater ran towards you, trying to grab you. The bottle you had prepared got crushed, which made you curse, but you still had one more bottle left. It was already prepared, but you had to be careful. You started firing again, until Ward shouted: "There's a door!"
You kept the bloater distracted as you dodged the spores, while Ward opened the door and motioned for you to get in. You ran past it as fast as your legs allowed, and threw yourself inside.
Ward cried as he pushed something heavy in front of the door– you couldn't tell what it was in the dim lighting but it did a good job stopping the bloater from going through, which let you take a deep breath.
"God dammit," You growled quietly and held the side of your ribcage. "We're trapped, we gotta move quickly– we've only one shot at this. You saw the way up, right?"
"Yeah, I did," Ward panted.
"Right, I'm guessing that this corridor leads us to the door on the other corner of the area," You tilted your head towards the L shaped corridor behind you. "I'm gonna make another molotov– The moment it spots us, I'll throw it. It'll buy us some time for us to climb out of here."
Ward listened and watched as you made another molotov with hands shakier than before: "You okay?"
"I will be once I see the moonlight," You groaned and pulled out your lighter. "Let's go!"
————
Blam!
"Looks like we got here just in time," Joel grunted, wiped his forehead, then extended Walt a hand to lift him off the floor after shooting a stalker –which was on top of the redhead– in the head. "Y'all okay?"
"Yeah, yeah," Walt nodded and fixed his posture. "Why are you here, somethin' wrong?"
"(Y/N) and Ward are trapped below the library with a bloater, we gotta move quick; come back here some other time with a bigger crew." Joel started sprinting back the way they came after he made sure everyone was ready to go.
"What's up with all the infected?" Bruce chimed in, out of breath. "I mean, all these other infected I get, but a bloater?"
"We need to come back with a full sweep team," Walt agreed. "Let's get (Y/N) and Ward."
————
"Go, go, go!" You whisper yelled at Ward after checking and making sure from the other door that the bloater was still trying to break down the door you two escaped from. As soon as you both stepped out, the bloater heard Ward's heavy footsteps and started charging at the both of you. Following the plan one by one, you threw the molotov and set the bloater on fire again, slowing down it's movements.
Your mistake was to think it was beginning to die after its movements slowed down.
You fired at the bloater, emptying what little ammo you had left, all the while Ward climbed his way up: "(Y/N) come on! There's the exit, this way!"
The horrifying realisation of the bloater not being dead poured down on you like iced water, which made you run towards the makeshift stairs like hell. The abomination chased after you with a disgusting noise, which made your fear level rise all the more. You practically threw yourself on the drawer, but miscalculated your steps and slipped, almost falling off the vending machine.
Trying to get up allowed the bloater to catch up with you and before you could jump towards Ward, it grabbed your ankle. A shriek left you as he caught you by the wrists: "Hold on!"
————
"You know a way around to the back? They went through there—" Joel pointed at the huge gap on the wall down where you and Ward fell, but suddenly heard the echo of your shriek from far away. He tensed up, turning towards Walt and shouting: "Do you?!"
"I think I do, come on!" Bruce exclaimed and led the group of four out.
————
You desperately stomped on the bloater's head with your free foot as its big, fungi covered hand gripped your ankle tighter and pulled. Ward was doing everything in his power to pull you up, and for a second you thought his grip was stronger than the bloater's– that your wrists were going to come off.
The man suddenly grabbed you from under your armpits, partly hugging you as he leaned forward and emptied his pistol into the bloater's face. With a final kick from you, the bloater let you go. The sudden move sent you flying with Ward, his back hitting the floor, hard. You rolled over him and landed facedown, the both of you letting out cries and grunts at the impact. You groaned, realising that your mask finally broke when you landed on your face, but thankfully there were no spores around.
You remained in the same position as you breathed heavily, Ward panting beside you, groaning as he also remained on his back. The noises from the bloater started to fade away. You couldn't move, the shock of everything tied your tongue and a knot to your stomach– you felt as if you looked Medusa straight in the eyes just a second ago.
————
"Look through there," Bruce pointed at the backdoor of the storage of the library, Joel sprinting towards it with Kiki behind him. As soon as he stepped inside, he saw your rigid form on the floor. You were on your side, one hand supporting to keep you up, your left arm resting on the curve of your hip. Right then, Ward got up in the same position from behind you, and equally confused and tired look on his face.
The sight was quick to send a shiver down his spine: The bridge of your nose was bleeding, your mask was broken, and Ward laying behind you unintentionally reminded him of the time he had accidentally walked in on Tommy and his then girlfriend before the outbreak. The memory was funny, but for some wicked reason Joel himself didn't understand, it didn't help the scenery in front of him.
He never said it, but he never liked the amount of patrol time Maria had assigned you and Ward (and him and Kiki). The reason he didn't speak up was because how he got off on the wrong foot with his sister-in-law all those years ago when he tried to get Tommy to leave with Ellie.
He wouldn't admit but Joel was a jealous man. There never were any fights between you and him because of his jealousies –or between him and some other person– and he also never thought badly of you. The years you spent together and the things that occured in the past few weeks... he was more than assured that you loved him and that you'd do anything for him: He hadn't felt like how he felt with you alnost his whole life.
It wasn't you that made him angry – when he took your words about Kiki and the couple in general into consideration, it was Ward's presence behind you and so close to you that got him angry.
But it wasn't the first thought that came to his mind.
Your mask's glass was broken.
After you slipped out of his grip... thinking you may have died and that he might have had to collect your body from down there, seeing you alive and in one piece made him run towards you without a second thought.
————
The heavy footsteps from outside made you panic and turn to the left onto your side, Ward repeating your move but to the right, rising his upper body up to see past you. Ward had a hard time figuring out who that was with the dim lighting, but you immediately knew who that was.
As soon as his eyes landed on you, he ran towards you with incredible urgency. You instinctively reached an arm out to him and he (unintentionally) harshly grabbed you and pulled you into a rib crushing embrace, also dragging you slightly away from Ward with the suddenness of the move. You hugged him back immediately with one arm and took your mask off with the other, tears finally strolling down your face as soon as your chin met his shoulder. You inhaled his scent– your chest hurted a little from how tight he was hugging you, but you didn't stop him: not a single sound of protest from you was heard.
"Ward... Ward!" Kiki called out and ran past you both towards her husband, who pushed her away. Walt and Bruce walked in last and their hearts warmed at the sight of you and Joel. People outside your inner circle rarely saw you cry or be overcome with negative emotions, so this was a little new for them.
"Joel..." A whimper left your lips.
"I know– I know baby," He rubbed the side of his face against your hair, his own tears warm against your bare shoulder. He finally pulled back after a moment, cupping your cheek and taking a proper look at you: "Are you– your mask–?"
"It broke just now," You nodded and gulped. "Landed face first after Ward pulled me out of there."
Joel gave the man in question a look of sympathy and thankfulness: "You saved her."
It was more a statement than a question, but Ward still replied: "She saved me too, y'know, she's–"
You turned around with a smile, getting up with Joel's help: "If it weren't for you just a few minutes ago I would've died, Ward. You pulled me out," You extended a hand over to him: "Thank you."
He looked between your face and hand, then grabbed it, pushing himself up with an awkward but genuine smile, Kiki completely forgotten: "I thank you too."
You hugged Joel's side after giving Ward's shoulder a pat, you husband's arm wrapping around your waist: "You did good today. We did good."
Ward smiled a bit more fully this time, appreciative of your comment but completely beaten. Joel placed a kiss on your temple after he turned the both of you around to leave, and you pressed yourself even more to his side.
"Let's get y'all out of here," Walt tilted his head towards the door after looking down the area you both climbed out of before, the bloater making it's way back to the hole on the wall to the right.
"Will there be a long period of time where I won't be seeing you in here, (Y/N)?" Katherine smirked when you and Joel entered the examination room.
"Perhaps when I'm as old as Eugene, but that's not stopping him, so..." You both chuckled as Joel helped you sit down.
"What was it this time?" Katherine put her gloves and medical mask on, taking a seat across your bed.
"A bloater, a dozen other infected," You squinted when she lit a flashlight into your eye. "Oh, and, I fell through the floor and onto a bunch of bookshelves. My–"
"Ribs are probably broken. I guessed," She chuckled, then pointed at your nose: "And this?"
"My mask shattered when I– don't worry, there were no spores," You said immediately when her eyes went wide.
"And your ankle?"
"The bloater tugged on it."
"It what?" Katherine and Joel blurted out spontaneously. You proceeded to tell the whole story from your fall to Ward dragging you out as the doctor finished her examination.
"I don't know how you do it, but you're damn lucky you got outta this with two broken ribs, a grade one concussion and a few cuts." Katherine threw her gloves and mask away after she completed treating your nose and other cuts. "Take some painkillers for sleep and you'll be on your feet tomorrow, but you already knew that. Try not to lean on your ankle for a few days and take it easy with your ribs."
"Thanks Katherine," You smiled sincerely, which she returned as you grabbed the box of painkillers from her.
As soon as you reached home, Joel prepared a nice hot bath for you and washed the dirt off, kissing you everywhere he could and being extra gentle with your wounds like he always did. He was lightly scrubbing your back when he murmured: "I hope we're not calling them over for dinner again."
You turned your head to the side, looking at him over your shoulder with a brow up: "I hope you're not. It wasn't my idea."
He tsked, a phantom of something near embarrassment present across his face: "Yeah, you're right."
"Why the change of heart?" You grinned lightly, with a hint of bitterness to your tone. "You're finally listening to your wife?"
He stopped scrubbing altogether, leaning back a little. You turned to your side with a serious expression and watched his face morph into shame and guilt. He huffed and lowered his head: "I'm sorry (Y/N). I–"
"I know you are," You said casually. "I just wanna know why the change of heart." He blinked at you: "It can't be Ward– the man saved my life and hasn't been really trying to send us subliminal messages, so I'm assuming it was something Kiki did."
Both of them, Joel wanted to reply but you were right, mostly it was Kiki, so he just nodded.
He went back to scrubbing where he left off and you turned to the side again, putting your chin on your knee: "One more patrol, Joel. Then we're done with them for good. Then, we will talk."
