ACE WEEK is from 22nd to 28th October this year!! That's around the corner btw.

Back in the old Twitter days, I used to summon acespec creators to join me in a thread of their own acespec OCs with the goal of meeting more ace creators, their OCs, their projects and making friends! I thought it would be a great idea to bring the event to Tumblr this time... WITH NEW RULES!

So, during the ACE WEEK 2023, I want you to show the world your ACESPEC ORIGINAL CHARACTERS!

I want to see artwork of them, especially if it's made by you, and please add some cool info about them, it can be any silly detail, but I encourage you to talk about their asexuality and experiences, and it would be super interesting to know if your own asexuality affected the creation of the character. Tell us about their story, if they have any, and if they belong to a project you are working on. This will take place during the whole week, so no rush. Kasuar: KSAR - Koordinator für Statistische Analysen Replikant

In the wake of the Eusan Nation's prioritization of bioresonant and replikant technology, most other avenues of technology remained underutilized and far less advanced. Computerization for mass calculations is no exception. Anything from convenient spreadsheets to finding the perfect trajectory to launch an interstellar vessel would require hundreds of trained professionals to handle.

Enter the KSAR. This replikant is the number crunching workhorse of the Eusan Nation. Their jobs are self explanatory, much like ARARs handle the mechanical technology of most facilities, KSARs handle the long form computing manpower, each with the efficiency of multiple gestalts that would have needed years of training. They are the backbone of the Eusan Nation's computerization power that work around the clock to ensure that all computerized technology runs smoothly.

Due to the lack of need for any physical prowess, KSARs are designed cost-efficiencently, with a generally slim and short stature at 167cm as physical labor is not in their requirements. This does make them compact to the point where they are easier to decommission and replace instead of fix if particularly damaged.

KSARs' personalities are as calculative as their tasks, rarely having any strong feelings about anything other than completing a task, it is recommended that KSARs have a mandatory leisure time of at least one hour per day outside of sleep and eat or they will continue to work to the point of damaging themselves, this is also important as overexertion often leads to early signs of persona degradation.

Aside from this, KSARs are particularly easy to maintain as they scarecely deviate from expected behaviors and can easily be trusted to work efficiently unsupervised, in fact interrupting their workflow can cause them to become irrationally frustrated. It is recommended to ignore any attempts to argue from them and deactivate their workstation at scheduled times. KSAR persona degradation is particularly rare as so long as they remain in their dedicated work environment, they will not speak to anyone beyond what is necessary for their job, nor will they experience any stimuli which would create degradation. This coupled with their carefree nature and lack of personal ego makes them a highly stable neural template.

Below is classified information.

The neural template for the KSAR is Jeanne Hohl, a respected mathematician that made major contributions to many of the Eusan Nation's projects, singlehandedly making several possible. In order to cover her existence, several of these accomplishments were attributed to her colleagues in order to still allow the scientific community to benefit from her work. This does however mean that her legacy is dead, no longer belonging to her, but instead serving the interests of the glorious Eusan Nation. Jeanne pictured below.

This is an mystery rp blog for Twisted Wonderland belongs to @miku-hime.

Yume Kimura is the 8 year old Daughter of a famous Politician that had died 3 years ago. Said Politician was also a Toymaker, Robotics Engineer, Business Man, Doctor and Judge. Knowing he was gonna die he had several, several years before made a Robot with the appearance of a ball-joint Puppet. He named it Winter 2001, after the date he created it.

Now, after his Death, Winter takes care of the now Orphan Yume, as it was the dying wish of Winters Creator to protect and care for Yume.

Though, you can't help but notice something off about the duo.

The whole Kimura Family is weird, actually. Why would Hiro Kimura, Yumes father, order to build a Theater in his Mansion in his dying Moments? Why is Yume so odd?

What are they hiding?

Yume is a big scaredy cat and crybaby that possesses an extremely soft-hearted and soft-spoken Personality and an overall innocent Mindset. Yume tends to be very Introverted and shy, relying on Winter for social Interactions. Yume is incredibly talented I'm business talk though. It's as if she becomes a whole different person.

Winter is extremely coldhearted, possessing no heart, and thereby no feelings such as empathy, happiness or similar. Winter tends to be more motherly with Yume though, and is overall way softer and kinder with Yume. It is extremely protective and often comes over as rude, but obeys Yumes order when she tells Winter to be nice. Winter is surprisingly good at social Interactions.

As with any good deathmatch, we must lay down some ground rules. So.

What does this competition define as a "tragic hero"?

A tragic hero is here defined, a little loosely, as "a character with a hamartia/fatal flaw who experiences tragedy resulting, at least in part, to this flaw". Given that this is a tumblr tournament poll, I'm willing to include ocs that dont specifically meet the classic standard of "tragic heroism" for the sake of Fun and Games. This is just a silly little fun poll of oc tragedians, so if you're erring on whether or not your guy Counts, go for it!

What characters can I submit?

Any sufficiently tragic-hero character that you have created and is this your Original Character, or "OC", is fair game for submission! If the character does not belong to you, you cannot submit it. If you feel that this is a grey area, I reccomend erring on the side of caution, but hey. I'm not your boss.

Where and when can I submit my character?

You can submit to the submissions document until 00:00 UTC on the morning of the 15th of July. For some timezones, this will stretch into the 15th, for some, this will be in the evening of the 14th. Thus, I will say for the sake of simplicity that submissions close on the 14th of July 2023.

Can I submit an image of my OC for use in the poll?

Yes, you are highly encouraged to! However, for the sake of not allowing anyone who sees this blog to potentially upload things to my google drive, you cannot do this in the document. Please send me a picture of your OC via my ask box or dms instead! If you are using picrew art or art done for you by a 3rd party, please include artist credit, as I will not post art without credit!

Can I submit an OC that is published in my own work/that I aim to publish?

Yes, but in this case, please only send me information that is already publically available about the character! I will publish all info submitted verbatim (with minor edits for formatting), and would hate to be responsible for posting spoilers!

Is it possible that my character won't make the cut?

Whilst I would love to include every submission, I do unfortunately recognise that it is likely that not everyone will be selected for the deathmatch. The reasons your character might be rejected include issues with seeding brackets, or unfortunately not reaching enough criteria of a specifically "tragic hero" (e.g. if they lack a hamartia). I strongly aim for a 100% inclusion rate but I am aware that it may not be realistically possible for me to include everyone!
