Big fan of when a character's grief/trauma/guilt manifests as physical symptoms. Big fan of characters keeping things so tight inside them that it makes them sick. Big fan of when the line blurs between a character's mental trauma and physical illness until it's hard to tell which is which anymore.

We're all aware that Cheng Xiaoshi is the most important person in Lu Guang's life.

But Qiao Ling is also very important to him, and I love that the new opening shows that.

The sequences from Lu Guang's perspective show not only Cheng Xiaoshi, but also Qiao Ling, who is not just a blur, but a full-fledged person who usually accompanies Cheng Xiaoshi (when he is not alone with Lu Guang).

She is therefore also close to the center of Lu Guang's life (but she will never be equal to Cheng Xiaoshi, who is his virtual center, the true sun in Lu Guang's life).

This may be because Qiao Ling is practically Cheng Xiaoshi's only family. Because she is important to him, she automatically becomes important to Lu Guang.

However, there are moments in the opening when the camera, when Lu Guang's gaze is focused solely on her. So Lu Guang may see her as a completely separate entity, without a complete connection to Cheng Xiaoshi. That he can only care for her because of her, not just because of his best friend.

But Qiao Ling is mostly seen with Cheng Xiaoshi, who is the focus of Lu Guang's attention for most of the opening. Therefore, Lu Guang and Qiao Ling's familiarity is mainly based on the bond between these "siblings". And considering how important Qiao Ling Ling is to Cheng Xiaoshi, and how important Cheng Xiaoshi is to Lu Guang, Lu Guang will also consider her well-being and care for her safety (when he'll risk the existence of the universe to save Cheng Xiaoshi).
