"Wearable Augmented Reality Experiences Are Here"(Makarov, A. (2024)) With Apple's launch of the Apple Vision Pro marking a significant turning point, the wearable augmented reality market has grown significantly in recent years. The Vision Pro, in spite of its high cost, represents a significant advancement for consumer augmented reality headsets. The ability to create virtual screens, use computer apps anywhere, and even watch movies on large screens from the comfort of your home is a major theme in wearable augmented reality. With the help of these gadgets, we are entering a new age of interfaces, where spatial computing is essential for smooth communication with these devices.

With its Quest 3 and Quest Pro headsets, Meta has also made progress, providing more reasonably priced augmented reality options with features like full-color pass-through. One of Meta's most notable mixed reality offerings is PianoVision, an app that teaches users how to play the piano using labeled keys to assist beginners or Synesthesia-style 3D notes. With new methods for fusing virtual and real-world experiences, augmented reality (AR) is becoming more approachable and useful in daily life.

Project Description: For this project, I focused on how I made my hobby into my career.  I've been obsessed with stories as long as I can remember, from when I was three years old dragging picture books around the house, reading a book a day in middle school, and writing a book blog in high school. Once I found out that publishing was a career, I knew that’s what I wanted to do. Stories are a huge part of my life and this podcast is just a few snippets of how I got to where I am today. Chilly Gonzales' stage had an elongated screen hanging above, which showed his fingers as they fluttered across the keys. I think it's called #PianoVision. It took exactly 5 notes played by the Canadian musician for my anxieties to ease. They quickly and quietly started filling in the cracks that had formed in the last 48 hours, caused by unnecessary words and actions. It felt truly like someone took some new clay and restored a pot on the verge of shattering into pieces. The tense strain that had captured my neck pulled away and the urge to cry out of sheer frustration dissipated. On the train home my neck is still a wreck and I don't know how I'm going to do an entire triathlon with it this weekend but at the very least I feel like I can do another day. One day at a time. #thoughts
