The Bucket List

Charles remembered every second of your last day. For a moment it seemed like you were doing better, you had energy and you got out of bed. You walked to his piano and asked him to play your song, smiling like it was the first time hearing it all over again. He played it until his fingers cramped.

“Can we put the Christmas tree up?” you asked as you looked at the empty corner by the fireplace. It had been forgotten in the week since you returned home, usually it would have been up and decorated on the 1st of December.

Charles didn’t feel like he had much to celebrate this year but he nodded and closed the lid on the piano. “I’ll get it from the loft.” He left with a kiss to your temple and a small smile.

It took longer than it normally did to hang all the baubles and drape the tinsel but you wanted it to be perfect. Charles held the final piece in his hand, a delicate porcelain doll with a gold halo above her head. It was new, one he found that looked just like you and he rose on his toes to reach the top of the tree. “Mon ange.”

You didn’t speak as you took a seat and watched the lights flicker on the tree but he felt connected to you when you placed your hand on his thigh and rested your head on his shoulder.

“I’m tired, Cha,” you said with a yawn. “Will you come and lay down with me?”

“Of course, mon amour.”

Charles helped you as the day came to an end, his arm bearing most of your weight as the energy you had earlier faded with an exhaustion that came from deep inside your soul. You felt no pain as he lifted you onto the bed and went to close the curtains to defend you from the setting sun.

“Will you hold me while I go to sleep?” Your eyes were already getting heavy when the bed dipped on his side and he carefully cradled you to his chest.

“Of course, mon amour.”

You forced your eyes to open just enough to see those gold and green eyes you had fallen for. Your chest was getting heavy, each breath requiring more effort and you closed your eyes to focus on each inhale and exhale.

“I love you, Charles,” you whispered weakly as his warm lips pressed to your forehead.

“I love you too.” Charles felt his universe shatter with the shuddering breath you took before the world fell silent. “Forever and always.”

1st anniversary (Liam)

The event is full of Liam's oddities. If you haven't read his route, you probably won't even understand what's going on. The boy has very big problems. And, considering that the event take place a year after the main route, he got better, but not much. This is especially noticeable compared to Ellis, who has become almost normal. Yes, I also read Ellis's event. He's my favorite after all. But I still can't decide whether I should write about it or not. I'm sure someone will do a full translation, so there's no point in giving you a summary.

So...

The story begins with Liam being unable to concentrate at rehearsal because Victor has already given him an assignment. Spend the day with Kate and decide whether she should stay at the Crown or not.

Tom noticed that Liam was not himself, and gave him the day off. So Liam left the theater earlier thinking…

He doesn't even want to imagine his life without her. But… As if summoned by his thoughts, she stands at the entrance to the theater and waits for him.

He was a little ashamed of his selfish decision

So… He decided in his own way to convince her to stay, showing her how wonderful the Crown was. He likes it here, so he has a lot to say.

He remembered asking her out a year ago. It turns out that it wasn't entirely out of the goodness of his heart.

In fact, I'd like to see a person who hates you. Really. It's like hating the cutest animal in the world… what is it… koala… penguin? Whatever…

So… He invites her to test his newly invented tour. And she happily agrees. The first stop was at the Crown building. And for a moment he was afraid that she might not like this building.

I wonder what Her Majesty would say to that. I would definitely laugh. It's so silly…

The next stop was the entrance. There they met Jude and Ellis, who had just returned from a mission. Jude gave Liam the canned fish.

My first thought was… Why do you want to poison my boy? It sounds like… I don't want to throw it in the trash, so I'll give it to you. But I completely misunderstood him.

Jude gave him really weird, unusual things that an ordinary person wouldn't dare try, but it's perfect for our curious kitten. And it definitely won't kill him. Jude, you're so kind! But, of course, not for free.

After Jude and Ellis left, Liam told how Jude first approached him. It was the day Liam screwed up his mission. So Jude overwhelmed him with work and…

An interesting phrasing. "Kind of like Jude" or "Jude's way of showing kindness". I'm not sure which of them Liam meant, but I like both.

The next stop was the dining room. All of Kate's favorites were there.

Where they meet Harrison. When they tell him what they are doing, Harry just smiles and asks Liam to explain it later. Harrison deffinetly noticed the lie. But Kate didn't find anything strange in this remark and asked Liam to introduce Harrison.

And the last stop was the dance hall. William was there, playing the piano.

Before William pointed this out, I hadn't thought about it… they really are a cat and a bird…

Willy said if they wanted, he would play another song for them. They cannot decide, so William does it for them. Chopin's waltz No. 9, which is often called "Farewell".

I just listened to it… very familiar and very beautiful. I can easily imagine William playing it…

William explained that Chopin wrote this waltz for his beloved when they were in a relationship. But later her parents opposed him and they broke up. And despite the fact that the waltz was written at the happiest moment of their lives, it still sounds very sad… like a farewell…

Liam thinks William probably knows about his assignment, which is why he's telling this story…

Oh, Willy… My sweet romantic…

They went into Kate's room and Liam asked her what she thought of his tour. She said that everything was fine, but she felt that the most important thing for her was missing…

NO! No, no, no, no, no, no! Liam! Babe! It's OK… You did nothing wrong! Don't bottle up! Everything is fine…

And on this wonderful note, we have two paths.

Normal ending

Kate tells him that no, he didn't make a mistake. But she didn't have a chance to explain herself because Victor suddenly showed up.

And they go on a mission. Liam uses his ability to be invisible and sneaks into some place to gather information. On the way back he had a seizure. He had a very odd internal conversation. But he suddenly came back when Kate hugged him.

She explains what she meant earlier. He talked about everyone, but never mentioned himself. He is a part of the Crown, and she, like any other new member, would like to hear about him. That's why she wanted him to tell her about himself. They laugh and apologize to each other. But Liam is thinking…

He asks her if she will stay as his fairy taler. At first she is surprised, but of course she agrees.

So Liam signs the agreement

He literally cannot imagine any future for himself without her in his life...

Premium ending

Victor didn't showed up in this ending, so Kate immediately explained herself. And Liam remembered that at every stop of the tour, she tried in a roundabout way to get him to talk about himself.

This time he tells her about agreement and asks her what she wants. And she, of course, asks him to let her stay.

After that, Liam came to Victor with a signed agreement. Victor, as always, tries to spend more time with his beloved kitten, but Liam is in a hurry. This time, Kate is giving a tour. And the title is…

Completely agree with Victor. It's cute.

And, remembering the story Will told them, Liam thinks. That in the future people will perceive their story as a "tragedy" or a "farewell story", but they will not know that until the very last moment they were happy together…

Oh, Liam...

So… I still can't decide whether to buy his epilogue or not. Probably I will. But I still haven't decided whether I should read the normal story of Ellis or Jude… or even Harrison. And after that I'll chose which epilogue I wanna read. I have time, so I'm not worried. And considering that I spent all the crystals (or whatever they are called here) on the last premium attire at Ellis route (it was too pretty), I can only buy one epilogue. Decisions. I hate decisions…

The blackness that swallowed your limbs gave way to a soft light. Your body was suspended in time, floating atop its waters.Your eyes opened and that soft light opened to a world. You were floating atop water, it lapped at your limbs as you floated. The current guided you to the nearest edge, and you sat upon the lip of the pool. It looked much similar to a blossoming flower, lush pink petals folding out from the bubbling water in the centre. Little balls of light danced in the air, each a different colour. You could hear them laughing among themselves, little wings fluttering about. The whole scene was nothing short of enchanting, soft piano and violin accompanying your amazement. The water began to bubble, and before you could fully skitter back, there was a woman. Her hair was long and fell in loose curls, her face was decorated with ornate makeup and gems, her clothes here finer than any human tailor could make. But perhaps most captivating of all -aside from the fact she was giant and just emerged from the water- were the wings that sprouted out from in front of her pointed ears.

“I see you are awake little one” Her voice was soft and warm, your nerves were put to rest “Your soul was embroidered with quite a bit of dark magic, but worry not, I fixed it” You stood slowly, unsure of what to do. She held out a large hand, asking for you to step on. You do so carefully, and she smiles kindly. “You are far from home little one” You sit down on the palm of her hand, and she brings you to eye level “I will allow you refuge if you can offer us anything” Your nerves set back in, all you could really do was sing, and your parents had already spent enough time explaining why it would never get you anywhere.

“I’m sorry ma’am, i’m afraid all I can do is sing” She laughs, it’s light and airy, her eyes lighting.

“That is just perfect my dear. Us faeries love music” She set you back down gently as a small light grew from your chest and enveloped your form. “Worry not, little one, I'm simply ensuring your safety while you stay with us. I’m sure you’ve heard the stories of our enchantments”

And so bagan your new reality, sworn protection by the fae in return for your singing. The little fairies took some time to trust you, but soon you always had one on your shoulder or another asleep in your hair. You were safe here, free to roam the heart of the forest. You learned what to forage, what plants made good food and what flowers made for good tea. It was on one such trip foraging that you heard footsteps. He waded through the tall grasses and wove through the trees. You watched from the branches as he made his way through the forest, directly towards its heart. You’ll admit that something about him struck you, his careful steps avoiding the ruin of the forest, the hopeful gleam in his eyes as he wandered, you were captivated. But no person comes out this far, no people seek the help of great fairies anymore, not unless it’s to steal and bottle the young fairies. Your path back to the Great fairy and her fountain was quite simple now you had it memorised, but it would’ve been challenging for anyone who was unfamiliar. As soon as you stood on the lip of the fountain she appeared, examining your worried expression.

“What troubles you, my dear” She cupped both of her hands and let you crawl in.

“There’s a boy in the forest- he’s coming here” Your voice shook, and for the first time you’d been awake in this unfamiliar land, you felt scared. She smiled that knowing grin and pressed you to her cheek.

“He has no ill intent little one, there is no need for your worry.” She sets you back down and leans on the edge of the fountain with her forearms, most of her submerged in the water. “Now, how about a song? Those always calm you down, do they not?” Her suggestion was gentle, redirecting your worry towards something else. You hummed, trying to warm up your voice as you thought of a song. One sprang to mind, looking around at the magic that surrounded you.

“I know you, I walked with you once upon a dream” You made sure to feel the slow sway and swell of the music as you remembered it. “I know you, that look in your eyes is so familiar a gleam” The fairy in front of you smiled and closed her eyes as she enjoyed your singing more than you parents ever did. “And I know it's true that visions are seldom all they seem. But if I know you, I know what you'll do” The smaller fairies gathered to listen, some settling on your shoulders. “You'll love me at once, the way you did once upon a dream” You finished there and the great fairy opened her eyes. She smiled, her eyes searching your face before glancing behind you.

“My, that was certainly a wonderful performance. Wouldn’t you agree?” Her eyes looked expectantly at the boy behind you, the same from before. He stared at you as if he were enchanted by your voice, large eyes staring at you in awe. When he noticed you staring back, his eyes widened.

“Beautiful” He managed to stammer out.

“Thank you” You smiled, knowing that the great fairy was right, he was harmless.

Hyrule was nothing short of bewitched. Your voice held no magic and yet it wrapped around his mind for the days to follow. Your face, lit with the soft glow of the fairies resting on your shoulders was finer than that of any statue or painting. He thought he was lying when his sisters back home told him that he would find someone who would complete him, filling in the cracks of his soul. And yet standing there, hearing you sing, seeing your smile, that’s the most complete he’s ever been in his whole life. The magic in his blood yearned for your voice, for your touch, for you. The great fairy before him raised him much like a son, and judging by the knowing smile on her face, she knew.

New Years Eve at Graceland is even more rowdy than Christmas.

Everyone is there; the guys and their partners, family from both your and Elvis' side, friends from outside of town and even some local fans that you got friendly with throughout time.

Before everyone arrived, you and Elvis made sure valuable things were locked away just in case things would get a little crazy (or more so, if someone got a little too drunk).

Elvis allowed you to create a photo corner in the music room – you'd hung up a mix of gold and silver tinsel curtain in front of the curtains by the window, creating a fun backdrop for the pictures.

You went all out, disco balls and photo props included.

Naturally, you and Elvis matched as he was wearing black and red and you were in a little black dress with red heels.

Drinks and food were served all through the night, keeping everyone satisfied. You and Elvis were good hosts and you liked seeing everyone having fun at your parties.

With the year 1970 only a few hours away, everyone's spirits are high and it doesn't take long before the drinks started doing their job.

Vernon is visibly loosened up, along with your father, trying to get the attention from your female friends even though both their wives are dancing their little hearts out near the dining room.

You'd pout at him when he told you to pose because you wanted him to be in it, but you did as told and put a glittery '1970' headband on your head as you posed for the camera.

After a few pictures, you switched places and took pictures of him as he used other props to pose with.

More people joined in on the fun and Joe eventually managed to take some cute pictures of you and Elvis, before you posed with the group and so on.

Because there were so many people at the house that wanted both your and Elvis' attention, you two would often be lingering around other people.

You'd catch up with your girls and family and joke around with his fans, while he'd be belting out laughter and jokes with other people.

The more he drank, the louder he got but as long as he'd stay away from the beer and champagne, you knew he'd be fine.

He'd catch your eye from across the room and mouth the words of the song playing to you, or shoot you flirty winks which you gladly returned.

Well before midnight, he found his way back to you and had you pressed firmly against his side as he took you in the kitchen where it was a little less crowded.

As the countdown on the TV started, the guys came back to the house to find their way to their partners and to be there to wish everyone a happy new year.
