how can you not like piama when you love the biggest brat of all, atlas?

Ok, so I'm gonna answer this because it was phrased somewhat politely:

There are parallels between them: they both keep people at a distance; they both harbor emotional trauma; they both have trouble with allowing themselves to be loved/ allowing themselves to be vulnerable.

But the WAY in which they do this is the difference: Piama stomps her feet, she flounces from a room. She'll rip up a piece of paper, huff and sigh and pout. She basically reverts to the same behavior as a child. Atlas hides behind his sarcasm, his grumpiness, his gruff nature. He drinks whiskey and throws himself into repairing old tech.

I would never call him a brat: he's a grump, a grouch, a pain in the ass. But brat? No.

Reigning Passions - Piama - My Thoughts and Reactions Season One Episodes 4-6

Sorry this is a day late (again), but there was so much going on, I had to take a bit to process it all and ya know, that five screenshot rule.

This line touched such a nerve for me. Gregory has been spreading false rumors about Piama and her family. People think because it's just words, it doesn't hurt. But it does. Words can, and often do, hurt so much more than physical acts. And the effects linger far longer than bruises do. Emotional abuse is real, and I hate that Piama has to suffer through any of this.

I adore Piama and Lyris's friendship - I know it is not always the focus in all the routes in favor of that other alluring cloaked character, but if you read Lyris and Sevastian's routes, you will see this friendship shine. One of the things I was most looking forward to in this route was a focus on this particular friendship, and so far, they have not disappointed. I love that as soon as there is an "emergency" (the emergency being that they are invited to a party and MC needs to learn proper etiquette 🤣), Piama runs straight to Lyris. This was a beautiful scene, spending time with Lyris, whom I have missed since his route ended. Piama softens around her friend and also bickers with him frequently. MC realizes that maybe Piama's bickering is not so bad. She also sees a softer side to Piama that Lyris brings out.

Poor Piama 🥺 She is beginning to open up to MC, explaining why she can come off as such a brat - it's her defense mechanism. The writing here is beautifully sad, I cannot begin to imagine the anguish Piama and her family have been put through. I think when we learn the whole story, it will be heartbreaking.

Ugh....this scene 🥺 Gregory struck again somehow, and MC's dress is ruined. Instead of snapping at MC for foolishly ruining her dress, Piama soothes MC, telling her everything is OK. MC is the priority 🥺 Piama immediately understands the shame and embarrassment MC must be feeling, and comforts her. She does everything in her power to comfort her wife, even offering to feign a headache so they can miss the party and stay home together (and if you know how much Piama loves parties, this is huge!).

If you have been following my friend @silverteresa, then you might have seen her theory that Piama is "half-Spring, half-Winter". As soon as I saw this vile woman, I immediately thought that she knows something about Piama (perhaps her possible Winter roots) and is there to cause trouble for them. Well, she did cause trouble, and led to a rather, um, interesting heart scene (if you have not bought it, I highly recommend you do. It is so worth all the hearts). I would so love to see Piama give this witch a piece of her mind - and Piama fans, I think if anyone can talk back to Hortensia, it's Piama. So I wouldn't mind a showdown between these two in the future.

The episode ends with more of Gregory's hurtful pamphlets being distributed. So far, he's a good antagonist, in that I hate his guts and want him to just go away, far, far away. I can't believe we are already halfway through, it has been amazing so far!

I'm going to take advantage of the 3rd image of Piama's route.

MC was hugging Piama tightly. Her scream had been heard throughout the alley. An arrow stuck in her back.

She and Piama were returning from a party, it was already night and it was dark, none of them realized that they were being followed. Only the glow of the arrow in the night alerted MC enough to act and get in the way of her wife's body.

Now MC was bleeding on Piama's hands. The flower princess began to cry, terrified that she would also be hit with an arrow or that her wife would die at her hands, and that was what scared her the most.

Then the shadows around her warped and Ruelle appeared in front of them. She drew a sword and threw it right at the archer's neck.

"Ruelle!" "Hello, Princess Flower Power" MC cried. "Oh my gods, oh my gods! Please don't die, please, please" "Calm down, brat. I'm not going to die... maybe..." "¡¡MC!!" "I'm... kidding..." "Don't joke when you are.. when... you..." "Calm down, princess. Hazel's place is near here, we'll take her in for a little sewing." "¿¡Is she going to...?! Ruelle, this is not the time. MC complained.

Ruelle carried MC and ran along with Piama to Hazel's door. The freckled and reddish-haired woman opened up and seeing the situation, she ushered them in.

Hazel asked Piama to undress her wife, she needed to see her wound better to heal it as best as possible. Piama's hands shook as she shed the expensive dress that covered MC's skin. The Wildergirl swore every time she was made to move more than she should.

"This won't be pretty", Ruelle warned, "you better get out, princess"

Piama saw MC lying with her bare back. Her face was furrowed in fear and pain.

"No, I'm going to stay."

Ruelle couldn't stop her. Piama got on her knees beside MC and took her hand.

"Squeeze it if it hurts" "You will cry if I do..."

Hazel proceeded to begin the healing. She had administered a couple of medicines to MC to make the pain more tolerable, but the young princess still cried every time the needle entered her skin.

Shortly after, MC was sobbing, her head was on Piama's lap and the flower princess was stroking her hair.

"Thank you very much, Hazel, Ruelle"

"It is nothing, princess, it is not the first time that freckles has arrived at my door on the verge of death"

"I would like to hear that" Ruelle said.

"I'll tell you about it while we clean these fabrics"

Ruelle knew that Piama and MC needed to be alone for a moment, so she agreed to get her hands dirty a bit more. When there was no one else in the room, Piama cried a little.

"I'll... be fine, Piama" MC calmed. "If I were less useless... this wouldn't have happened to you" "But then... you would be... crying" "I don't care, I'd rather that than cry for y--" "Piama, I promised to protect you and that is what I did" "Protecting me is not the same as giving your life for me. What am I supposed to do without you?" " What?" "Nothing. Just stop talking" "And you stop crying or your eyes are going to swell" "Why don't you stop being a slush head?" "Because I do not want to" "Slush head" Don't you have a better insult?" Piama took MC's hand and gave her a kiss. "Just stop, please. You don't know how much I cared for you, my love" That caught the freckled princess off guard. She blushed and stuttered a little. "I... I..." "You big dumb, slush head" She gave her a fleeting kiss on her lips and parted from her with a flushed face. "I love you, my beautiful peach" With a flushed face, MC fell silent.

Piama’s route is so fun like so far like if MC was like 50% more sensitive she’d be miserable but instead she’s like “ my new wife is a brat but she’s cute and pretty lol”

A Lovestruck English Lesson 👩‍🏫: Piama 🌸, season 2, set 3

This set was really enjoyable. Piama is such a brat sometimes but you can feel how underneath all her bluster and bratty responses is a woman so scared that she would rather push people away then allow herself an inch of vulnerability. MC is getting there though. (Her patience is astounding) She's finding the cracks in Piama's armor and becoming....important to her.

Let's look at a few screenshots:

This a lovely little comparison of her heartbeat to the speed of a hummingbirds wings. Now I would change the preposition here: "my heart beating with the speed of a hummingbird's wings." It's a minor mistake and honestly, should have been caught by whoever proofreads the writer's work.

I'm always happy to see Pax show up and had to share. And I loved that Piama could sign with him.

This is a look at precision of wording. Did anyone else find this sentence sounded a little off? I can tell you why. The word "instead" has to be removed for this to be correct.

Before our lips can meet, our ears are assaulted....

If you want to keep "instead", it has to be rearranged to be at the beginning or end of a clause:

Instead of our lips meeting, our ears are assaulted.....

Or simply place "instead" at the end of the entire sentence.

"prevents my personability" is a very odd construction and actually feels more like something I'd expect from Piama as it's slightly off, sounds a bit snotty and made me laugh because of that 😆 Piama is rubbing off on her Wilder wife.

Piama's premiere is everything i wanted and more!😍💘

Gods she's so beautiful and amazing!

She doesn't want "fake news" , she wants to be well informed, she wants to learn new stuff , about the Wilds especially.

She's mean at first but that's because she's surrounded by gossip and fake news and very closed minded and mean people, yet she's willing to know more and know what the Wilds are really like, from a person who was born and lived there.

She loves chatting and she's so cute!

She's a brat, and I LOVE IT!

She's witty, when you get to know her she's fun and so gay 😏

She's so smart! She knows so much stuff and can remember so many things! She learns from mistakes and bad situations in order to do better in the future!

She's a tsundere and a brat, the more you'll get to know her, the more you'll find out what an absolute sweetheart and how funny she is, trust me. (Amara, Sevastian, Lyris and Xenia routes can confirm! 😉)
