Devil’s Curse
@lest-i-forget
Pandora couldn’t wait to test out the potion she had bought at the bazaar. She wasn’t going to test it on herself, though. Oh no, that’s what minions are for. There wasn’t a high chance that Lest would take it willingly, so she would have to get him to drink it without him knowing. Plus, it would be much more fun that way.Â
One afternoon, when both Pandora and Lest were home, she went forward with her plan. Foolishly, he had left a drink out in the open while he used the bathroom. That’s when Pandora got the potion out from under her pillow and emptied the vial into Lest’s drink. Now to wait...

Hello Again || Evelyn & Lest
@lest-i-forget
With a full 50,000G spent at the dance auction, it looked like Evelyn had a little dance with someone at the end of the evening. To her, spending that kind of money wasn’t such a big deal, especially when it was for charity. And plus, it gave her a rare opportunity to talk to the boy she found on the beach all that time ago.
“Hey there!” Evelyn spoke, walking right up to Lest as the last dance of the Charity Ball was about to begin, “You’re looking much better than before. Care to dance?” She grinned, offering her hand to him.

Earth Friends || Raguna & Lest
@seedsofmemories
[✿] — A part of Raguna’s responsibilities for Kardia Farm was to deliver his farm produce to different businesses across the island. Sure, the Pelago Express could do just that, which would save him the time, but Raguna figured he was capable enough to handle it on his own. One, it’d save him money. Two, it would lessen the probably already busy workload of the delivery people at the Express. And three... well, he guessed he just liked doing it, for the chances to meet and speak with different people. Raguna wasn’t exactly the type to get out much, so he didn’t get many chances to socialize with people he didn’t already know.
Today, he was supposed to be delivering a fresh new shipment of his spring crops to the Three Sister’s Inn. The people there were good friends of his, so he came in expecting to see quite a few familiar faces he could catch up with. Like Lily. It’s been a while since he’s seen Lily.Â
He wondered if she’s gotten better at cooking since the last time he’s seen her... he hoped so, for the sake of the people who had to live and eat there.
When he walks inside, he’s met with a familiar sight-- a homey lobby populated with a modest amount of people. Some were sitting around and reading books from the small bookshelf in the corner of the room, a pair was playing a peaceful game of chess, and others were gathered around a table and chatting amicably amongst themselves. The room was a nice temperature -- not too hot or not too cold -- and the aroma of that afternoon’s lunch permeated the entirety of it, summoning a contented smile to Raguna’s face.
Expression unchanging, he heads to the front desk with his crate of vegetables, eyebrow raising ever so slightly when, instead of Lily or another worker he recognized, he sees a newer face behind the counter.
“Hey there.” Raguna greets the boy casually, unable to wave due to the heavy load currently sitting in his arms. “I’m Raguna, from Kardia Farm? I’m here to deliver this week’s crop shipment for the inn.”

Normally one would wait until all the paperwork was settled to take the oath, but Lest’s enthusiasm was rubbing off on her. The process of hiring new recruits was one that she knew would be tough, but this was a good start. There was work ahead with this one, but she was honestly looking forward to it. She had a good feeling about it. So, what would it hurt to let him take the oath now?
“Alright, then.” Both hands on her desk, Forte pushed herself from her chair. Taking on a more somber expression, she crossed her chest, placing a closed fist over her heat. It was fairly similar to how one might salute another officer in the Norad military.
“Repeat after me: I, state your name,” she paused to make sure he understood, “promise to serve the community of Arcadia with honor, integrity, and respect. I swear to always uphold the laws of this land, and to bring any villain who should threaten the peace to justice. I will let no call for aid go unanswered, and will defend the people from harm.”
She made sure to pause occasionally to let him catch up. In her experience, such a lengthy oath was hard to get in just one go.

Hidden Invite |🌟| Lest & Marla
@prince-of-lost-memories
Marla had always thought the best kind of adventure were the ones you found, be it in a book or out in the middle of the sea. She had worked for weeks to prepare a hidden adventure of her own. Out in the middle of the sea, there sat a boat. In this boat, there were two items, one an underwater breathing potion and the other a scuba diving suit. Whichever the adventurer chose, she hoped it would encourage them to jump in the water and investigate.Â
To keep the boat in place, and as a help to the poorer swimmers out there, Marla tied a rope to the bottom of the boat and swam it down all the way to the gate of her mansion, where she tied it with a bow.
The mermaid was giddy to see what kind of people would end up on her doorstep. So much so that she could barely stop giggling while she made this hidden invitation and spent most of the first week staring out her front window, waiting for an adventurer to show up.

Earthmates || Lest & Phillip
@prince-of-lost-memories
Phillip hummed to himself as he spruced up the window display. The flowers were all blooming well in the sunlight pouring from the windows. The energy of the flourishing plants around him put him in an even better mood than usual. He hadn’t even been as anxious around customers as usual, which was a bit surprising for him. Shrugging off the thought, he poured a little water in each of the pots and arranged them so that they looked as full as possible.
He smiled at his handiwork and went back behind the counter, leaning on the surface and daydreaming about flower crossbreeding possibilities. He was so deep in thought that he didn’t hear the bell on the door ring. His attention didn't’ return to reality until the blond man was right in front of the counter. A blush heated his cheeks as he straightened up and nodded at his customer.
“U-um, sorry about that... Is there anything I can help you with?” he asked in a meek tone, causing him to internally scold himself. It was just that he had been caught lazing about on the job by a rather cute boy... He also seemed to have a very dignified air about him that made Phillip even more nervous, like he should be bowing down to him or something. The only thing that made him hesitate was an energy similar to his own radiating from the man in front of him.

[HGF] Ain’t No Mountain High Enough || Andrea & Lest
@prince-of-lost-memories
Arcadia had many odd traditions and one of them happened to be climbing a mountain to get a feather. Yes, a feather. But, no, not any ordinary feather. A blue feather. These people are crazy. And get this, they use these feathers to propose. Because buying a ring isn’t dangerous enough. You have to climb a fucking mountain to retrieve a super-rare feather to prove your love. Andrea was starting to thinking stopping at Arcadia was a mistake.
However, Andrea was quite fond of dangerous activities, so she climbed the mountain herself. As they say, when in Arcadia, do as the weirdos do. Unlike those who were less fortunate, Andrea made it to the top and back, safely. She even got one of those feather things. Maybe she could make a couple bucks off of it. They may be rare, but it’s still just a bloody feather.
Andrea stood on the sidelines of the dance looking at the blue feather she collected. Was there a nest of blue birds at the top of the mountain? She didn’t see any birds, let alone blue ones. Maybe this was all some big prank to fool newcomers. That would make more sense than...everything else.

Family Outing || Raguna & Lest
@prince-of-lost-memories
[✿] —- Raguna would be lying if he said being around Lest didn’t feel... awkward. Especially since the guy claimed to be a member of the family he had absolutely no recollection of. There was always the chance that he could be lying, but the fact that they shared the same last name couldn’t have been coincidence. Loire wasn’t exactly the most common of surnames, in Raguna’s experience.
If Lest was a cousin of his, then that only made Raguna feel worse, as he remembered nothing about someone who should have been so important to him. He never showed it, but he knew that was probably tearing the poor guy up inside. That was why Raguna had to make it up to him somehow. He couldn’t just sit around, claim not to know him and leave it at that-- he had to at least make the effort to get to know Lest, to try and remember something about him.
And who knows? Maybe this would be just the catalyst he needed to recover his lost memories. Lest was the only clue he had to the life he led before ending up in the archipelago, and Raguna would be an idiot if he chose not to jump on that chance.
So after work at Kardia Farm ended for the day, Raguna approaches Lest.
“Hey there, Lest.” He attempts a casual greeting, but the awkward smile he wore gave his discomfort away. “I was wondering if you wanted to go and, uh... hang out? Since work is over for the day. Of course, you don’t have to, especially if you have more important things to do.”

Well, that was a welcome change in his attitude, one she was glad to see. He seemed a little surprised that she was willing to hire him, but she knew that sometimes people just needed the opportunity. If it turned out he was a heinous criminal in his past, maybe the deeds he did now would be enough to keep him on the right track. They could tackle that if he ever remembered, though she wondered herself what may come from it.
Besides, sometimes you just had to take a chance on people. Especially people who are willing to put in the work. Despite her hard work, Forte knew that had there not been people like her father, and her superiors in the army, she might not even be in this position. Being a woman in the military was not unheard of, but most times a hard sell in Norad. Perhaps this was how she could pay it forward, so to speak. It didn’t mean she would let bad behavior slide, but for now she could at least give him a chance.
She gave a simple nod to answer his question, “once I have all your paperwork you can start,” she waved her hand, “you will have to take an oath to uphold the law and protect the people, but yes, I will hire you.”
