You could be a talented #athlete with the best technical skills and physical prowess. But, if you can’t regulate your emotions, manage distractions, and perform under pressure you will not be able to execute your skills to the best of your ability.
Here is how sports psychology helps #athletes and others in high-stress environments to perform better.

Since 1966 to the recent world cup in 2016, goalkeepers have been able to save just 11% of the penalty kicks. The fastest penalty kick in the 2014 FIFA Football World Cup was recorded to be at the speed of 84 mph (that’s even faster than the speed of a cheetah!), by Brazil’s Givanildo Vieira de Sousa known as Hulk (though it did not show on the scoreboard!). Is there any science behind the mastered techniques of these footballers?
Watch the video below in which Sport Science's John Brenkus breaks down the scientific advantage penalty kickers have against the goalkeepers:

Sports Science, a relatively new branch of science, is a combination of several different disciplines that focuses primarily on the scientific principles behind exercise performance. Simple #physics concepts like center of mass, centrifugal force and inertia, are helping athletes win medals and set world records. In penalty-kick shootouts, the advantage is the shooters'. They kick the ball at speeds of up to 80 mph from 12 yards away, which means balls can reach the goal at less than 400 milliseconds.
