Physical mediumship is quite different from mental mediumship. A physical medium, while in a trance state, produces physical evidence of connections with the spirit world to observers in a dimly lit room, during a séance, or psychic circle, through the following phenomena: transfiguration, direct voice, apports, levitation and the movement or throwing of objects, knocking, rapping and tapping, spirit lights and materialization. Historically, physical mediumship had its heyday during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The Fox sisters, Kate and Maggie, popularized this type of mediumship in the U.S. after demonstrations of their mediumship skills at their home in Hydesville (Arcadia) New York in 1848. They reportedly received messages and communicated with spirits by way of rapping or tapping sounds, among other physical evidence. Transfiguration and ectoplasm are most commonly seen with Physical mediumship and when witnessed may cause a lot of skepticism or even fear, but in most cases will result nothing less than amazement. In Transfiguration, the medium physical appearance (normally the face) will change and take on the exact appearance of the loved one who has passed. It is normally common to then communicate directly with the loved one during this time. Ectoplasm is a substance taken from the medium’s body and mixed with an etheric substance used by a spirit to affect physical matter (I'm are not talking Ghostbusters! here by the way)  This substance flows out of any of the medium’s orifices (usually the mouth or nose) and is often said to be used in levitations and materializations. One good example is the use of ectoplasm to create a voice box which will then allow for Direct Voice messages to come through. It may look like a cloud initially forming into a solid form that has not real substance to it.

Physical Mediumship is extremely stressful for a medium, takes a lot of energy and has been around for a long time - in fact there are reports of this type of mediumship in the Bible!

Happy Star Wars Day! I could not wait to introduce my son to Star Wars. He took to it like a duck takes to water. He had to have a lightsaber for his birthday. The party was Star Wars themed. Little did I know he would crush on Princess Leia. I guess it should be expected with that midriff bearing two outfit while she was enslaved to Jabba the Hutt! Later in time, I will explain to my son that there is a concept of "using the force" in mediumship. It is called "physical mediumship" where the medium is able to harness energy with help of the spirit world and sometimes other mediums to move things, make them appear (apportation), or disappear (asportation) and so on. Now do not get too excited! This takes time and training to develop. The Scole Experiment with Robin Roy. He talks about that experiment in the 90��s in a place near Diss,  Norfolk in the UK. He is a psychic medium working with energy. Table Tipping Fundraiser was a Great Success!

On February 23rd, we hosted a table tipping fundraiser. Seventeen people participated in this physical mediumship event. We had a list of about 100 questions that we had already prepared to ask spirit through the table. We are able to receive yes or no answers. Questions varied from asking if Bigfoot was real, asking questions about UFO's, questions about Jesus, and the Bible. Everyone was able to come up and participate at the table and ask personal questions from spirit.

Participation in a table tipping event was a very cool experience. Table tipping many not be for everyone, but if you are interested in physical mediumship it is highly recommended to try a table tipping event.

On top of having a really cool table tipping experience, we invited S*P*I*R*I*T Paranormal to collect evidence of the event.

Tim from S*P*I*R*I*T Paranormal set up several IR Cameras and took a lot of pictures during the event. We hope to have Tim and his team back at a Sunday Service real soon to reveal his findings.
