2.12 when Phyrne is tying Jacks tie is the most incredibly sexually charged scene where nothing sexual has happened since I saw Aidan Turner and Maeve Dermody staring at each other in And Then There Were None. Like wow.

Journalism AU for Phrack? 👀😍

This is such a fun one for me, you've no idea. I'd do this as a modern AU - of course there were female journalists in the 1920s but, as one can see from Away With The Fairies, also insane amounts of industry sexism. So! Modern AU where everyone is in journalism. Phryne is the star investigative reporter, rakes in scoops like nobody's business, has caused the paper to be sued multiple times but they deal with it because she's just that good. Jack is a copy-editor. He and Phryne clash repeatedly and furiously because of the incredibly pedantic way in which he edits her work - while she's a fantastic investigator she can be slapdash at fact-checking and has a high error count - so they're forever in each other's faces over what he's done to her latest story - "did you have to remove all the Oxford commas, Jack?" "I'm afraid the stylebook insists" "but what about the strippers, Hitler and Stalin? WHAT ABOUT THE STRIPPERS" "if you would please stop yelling about strippers in public, Miss Fisher" "STRIPPERS! STRIPPERS!" - while the rest of the newsroom are watching and eating popcorn and money is changing hands. Dot and Hugh are baby crimers who are going through important life rituals like seeing your first corpse and covering your first fire together. Bert and Cec are photographers. Mr Butler lays pages. Aunt Prudence is managing editor. Mac is still the coroner; she shouldn't let Phryne take so many peeks at dead bodies, but what are friends for? Jack gets unwillingly dragged into Phryne's latest exclusive on sex trafficking because his former father-in-law is involved, so she presses him to help her out despite the massive conflict of interest. Rosie works in PR - at one point she sends Phryne a correction request and Phryne is LIVID - and Sidney Fletcher is a big-bucks advertiser who tries to kill the story on him by threatening to pull his ad dollars. The truth shall make ye free/fret, except Phryne does all the freeing and Jack does all the fretting.

However, I HAD feared that because this was supposed to be the first of a trilogy Phryne and Jack wouldn't be together by the end. I was steeling myself for it. I am SO relieved that it didn't go that way because I don't think I could have stood that. I know she's married but I chose to see that as how far Jack has come and they both know it's not REALLY a marriage.

No idea if that was supposed to be the subject of the second film (I kinda hope not since I can't see much of the Melbourne gang in that either...not that it's a reality so I don't have to worry but ykwim)

8. You are radiant and forever. (Phryne Fisher/Jack Robinson) (Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries)

“There’s something to be said,” opined Phryne drowsily, “for social niceties.”

Jack, who was adjusting his tie in her mirror, glanced over at her in amusement. “Is that so? Now, I never thought I’d hear such a confession from you.” He finished making himself presentable and perched on the edge of the bed he had so recently vacated. “Whatever happened to damn the conventions and full-steam ahead?”

“Well,” Phryne said, her voice still syrupy with sleep, but her eyes clear and shining up at him, “if I hadn’t had to behave myself last night, we’d have come away from that lecture much earlier.”

“Mhmm, and gotten to sleep much earlier, too. As it was, we were up very, very late.”

“I don’t recall you complaining,” she purred, reaching up to run fine-boned hands over his broad shoulders. His sadly clothed shoulders.

“Oh,” Jack rumbled, “no complaints at all. You were radiant last night.”

Phryne pouted, though behind the coquettishness, she was laughing. “Only last night?”

“Correction: you are forever radiant. You are, in fact, both radiant and forever.” Reluctantly, he removed her hands from his person. “What is not forever, regrettably, is my ability to lounge about with you in bed.”

She let out a groan and rolled over in disgust, pulling a pillow over her head to shut out the daylight. “I’d argue with you, but I know better. You’re a terrible man to have in bed when you’ve made up your mind to be elsewhere.”

“All the more reason for me to leave, so that I can come back when I’m good and ready.”

“And if that’s just when I’m ready to be out on the town?”

Jack grinned and kissed the bit of shoulder still peeking out between pillow and sheet. “Then at least you’ll know where to find me when you’re done.”

Quite frankly, Jack was at a loss for words as they stood on the small viewing terrace, the Colosseum towering over them like a giant. He still could not quite believe that he was standing here, seeing this masterpiece of human architecture in person.

But here he was, with Phryne, or maybe because of her, one more stop on their journey through Europe on their way back to Australia.

He glanced over at the love of his life, who seemed to be just as entranced as he was by the colossal building in front of them and he gently took her hand in his.

“It’s beautiful,” she finally replied, squeezing her fingers around his. “It’s beyond comprehension how something this magnificent could have been built in ancient times, isn’t it?”...

MFMM S1 E9: Queen of the Flowers

LOVE the smiles!! (Forgive the picture quality, and I beg your patience.  I’m snapping photos from the TV using my phone while I binge-watch).  Perhaps someone has previously posted a better one that they could re-post? 

The costume Phryne wears in this final scene is one of my favorites.  I thought she looked particularly lovely in the lavender and gold.  I don’t recall seeing it in any other episodes??

I had a hard time deciding how to start that post but decided to go with:

Cherik - X men

There are multiple reasons why this ship means the world to me and will be allways close to my heart.

First, at all I grew up with the xmen movies. Cuddled up with my best friend, in her bed, watching the old x men movies (xm1 to 3) until 2 o’clock in the night. It is a feeling like coming home. And the underlying queer theme allways attracted me.

Second: I am a sucker for the enemies to lover trope. It is this amazing thing that no matter how much they “hate” each other, or how long they have not seen eachother, or how deeply they hurted eachother if one one of them is in danger the other one will allways run and save the other one. This is love imo

Also they are as canon as they could be in Hollywood. My headcanon for young!Cherik is similar to the one Michael Fassbender has for them. They are married, doing a fishing trip around the whole world, to come back at the end to Genosha raising, teaching and carrying for a new generation of mutant kids.

For old Cherik: They are happily living together in the school, due to the utopia Wolverine created in Days of future past. Magneto is probably teaching the kids mechanics

And there are allready rumors that Marvel wants to recast them. If they will touch our happy Cherik ending with their rotten hands i will riot!

Stormpilot - Star Wars

Yeah i still use that name. Because i am on this boat since the beginning. It is a little bit damaged but still sailing so this is my happy ship.

I was never a big Star Wars fan but these two dudes made me fall in love with Star Wats because even before i realized i was queer i knew this ship was special and make history, in one way or another. And we did, didn’t we? We are now taken seriously. Shipping is not a “ugly” fangirl thing anymore but people start to realize taht it is also a scream for representation. But we still have to go a long way

I love that this kind of a “love at the first sight” thing (at least for Poe). And that they have an instead chemistry with eachother. I was sitting in TROS and smiling like an idiot everytime they were on screen and cried buckets when they were both single and together in the end. They treat eschother well and have a deep respect for eachother. There is no macho behavior just pure friendship with a lot of gay tension. Every scene with them in TROS was a blast. And i am sure Finn is now slowly realizing he is love with Poe as well. Poe gives Finn his ring. Finn finds out he is a long lost prince and learns jedi tricks. And then they marry. And adopt a lot of droids children!

They are my hope. And they will be my first tattoo.

Phrack (Phryne x Jack) - MFMM

One of the few straight ships i actively ship. They are so damn well written. There is nothing toxic about their relationship. And the slow burn tension is killing you slowly. How they care for eachother without Jack being Phrynes savior. And how Phyrne allways gets calm perfect Jack irritated is so cute.

Also the moments where Phyrne is teasing Jack or Jack calls Phryne “Phryne” instead of “Miss Fisher” like he normally does.  And that Jack is ready to learn how to accept gay people and working independent women through Phryne is beautiful.

No headcanons here. I just want to watch the upcoming movie “Miss Fisher and the crypt of tears” that explains what happenes directly after the season 3 finale.

Keyla x Joann - Star Trek Discovery

There is not too much to say about them. I just hope they will be canon. They didn’t had much screentime yet but everytime they are together it feels like they are dating since years. And Keyla is confirmed bisexual. I hope we will see them together in season 3. If not i will just keep on pretending that they got married at the end, adopted a lot of space kitten and live their best lives as speca wIw.

Also the are holding hands in that scene above, fight me!

Michael x Tilly - Star Trek Discovery

Nothing better then space wIw pairings.

I like how they deeply care for eachother and Tilly was ready to accept Michael even though she was an outcast. And Michael was ready to accept Tilly even though she normally can not deal with talkactive people.

Tilly helped Michael a lot to express her feelings  while Michael helped Tilly to fight for her dream as a Captain.

Also they canonly hold hands multiple times. They are so soft around eachother. I am so ready for season 3.

Sherlock x Joan x Marcus - Elementary

I actually ship them in every variation (because above all Johnlock) but here i make an expactation. The deep care they have for eachother. They had a few problems at the start but if someone feels bad now, both are ready to help that person. Joan is constantly checking on Marcus personal live, and lives with Sherlock anyway, while Sherlock constantly looks out for Joan and Marcus and looks that they find happines. And Marcus has thought multiple times about moving in with Sherlock and Joan.

While Sherlock doesn’t really liked to be touched both Joan and Marcus have iconic hug scenes with Sherlock. And after Joan and Sherlock find out that Marcus will move to a new job they both do everything they can so Marcus will be successful, The epsiode ends with Sherlock looking at Marcus for a really long time, smiling like a love sick dork, while he lefts with  “ It’s alright, it’s alright, it’s alright now, I’m fine with how it all went down “ playing the background.

I haven’t watched season 7 yet but with Marcus risking his career for both Joan and Sherlock i hope he will finally moves in with them.

I’m sorry it took forever to get round to this, I tried before 2020 ended but then my browser decided to freeze and I lost the draft so :(((((

1. a melody of two lives - this was a fic that I did for the Miss Fisher Flash Fic challenge, and I’m not normally an AU person, but idk what it was about this one but I just kinda fell in love with it? I’m trying to do a big fic in that universe but lawd it’s fighting me

2. a quiet voice- this was the first thing I posted this year, for agent carter, a drabble inspired by the fact that I am guilty of exactly the same thing! relatedly...

3. die stimmung, leise - this is the same story as above, but translated into German! I am an L2 speaker, and I’m at the point where I just need to produce as much as possible to start noticing mistakes. Also, wenn ihr mein peinliches Deutsch angucken wollt, komm vorbei lol

4. stolen affections (thwarted by time) - HOO BOY this one was a lot. I wrote it in between AoS 7x03 and 7x05, trying to get all my peggysous feels out, and I have to say, I ended up being proud of the end result! It was hard to write tho, I couldn’t do more than about half an hour at a time.

5. sense of each other - written for whumptober for the Miss Fisher fandom, it was my first attempt at smut in a while and uhh, it wasn’t too bad I think, but it was really nice to take part in the event and it felt a bit like community!

6. hidden affections -  this one is an AU where Peggy and Daniel are married in the AoS timeline and I just really like the tone and it was the return of sassy Sousa for me. I think it might be a quiet favourite!

7. planting a garden (is really hard work) - written for the Peggysous 2020 event -  the theme really challenged me and it was good fun! Thanks for organising that btw!

8. looking over the brim - the first thing I wrote for the Miss Fisher fandom, inspired by how completely Phrack don’t understand the concept of personal space.

Hi I really liked your analysis of what’s going on in crypt of tears! I just finished the series and I’ll be watching it soon! What’s your favorite episode?

Oh man, tumblr is being super weird with my notifications and I have no idea how long this has been sitting here and I’m sorry! Honestly, asking me to pick a favourite episode is like asking me to pick a favourite child. 😂 Dead Air is probably the one I put on for a mood booster most often--the Phrack is sizzling, the murder actually makes sense, Hugh stealing Jack’s secret stash gives me life, and Want me to beg? lives in my head rent-free forever. But I’m not particularly fond of the Hugh/Dot subplot in that one, so I can’t say it’s the clear winner. 

I hope you enjoy (have enjoyed? This ask could be centuries old at this point) Crypt of Tears!
