I've not read fic for Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries before this year but by god I ought to have been, I love a good case fic and this is an EXCELLENT case fic - with a brilliant side of character delving to boot! this little speech in particular really got me between the ribs, I loved it.

(when I was writing out this description I got to the author name and was like "hmmm, why is this familiar?" and YES, this is by Fahye of half cloak & half dagger fame! they honestly have a truly fucking astounding number of different fandoms written for on their ao3,)

It'll never fail to make me laugh how Jack went from constant shock whenever Phyrne would flirt with say those things to him to now unabashedly egging her on. What else do his smiles mean other than "you've got my attention, please tell me more" 😌
