Ever since Globs of Doom (2008), not counting the online and mobile app games, the Fairly OddParents franchise hasn't appeared in any further Nicktoons console games since then, especially the Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl series.

They just feel incomplete without Timmy Turner and his fairy godparents and friends; The Fairly OddParents is like a core Nicktoons alongside Jimmy Neutron and Danny Phantom, especially when it came to the Nicktoons Unite! series.

I just don't know what goes on behind the scenes on why The Fairly OddParents is excluded from the console games, but not the web and app games; whether it's Nelvana's ownership or Nickelodeon having little faith after the show's decline or some other thing that's keeping the show from ever getting a taste of the console game life its other fellow Nicktoons have gotten.

Anyway, you're wondering how I made this:

I started with Jimmy, the slit outline of Timmy, and Jenny yesterday on September 11.

Jimmy, especially was made with the 2D illustrations from the books as it was more appealing than conjuring up my simplistic 2D take on him.

I then worked on Danny at midnight, then rested and resumed later in the afternoon.

Next was adding Jimmy's dialogue made with Font Meme, Free Online Image Editor, and LunaPic.

The background was comprised of the console games that lack the OddParents franchise, made with PhotoLayers, and LunaPic.

Everything was put together with FOIE, with additional editing on MS Paint Classic.

I was wondering if you had any recommendations for good png making apps/sites, the ones I find always decrease the images quality or give bad edges and I don’t really know how to fix that? 😰

I have a Samsung so I'm not sure if it is any different on Apple.

I used to use their bare bones background eraser

but like you mentioned I realized it would reduce the quality/size of the image where with the photolayers app it preserves it, sometimes I even have to go make the image a little smaller myself because it is too big for tumblr! (They white background it 😭) Plus the photolayers app does everything bg eraser does and more like it has image editing tools so you can sharpen/blur/edit the color etc. It's all pretty simple to use to. I had tried a lot of apps before after I got a new phone and lost the one built into my phone (which if you look in my oldest archives it actually stunk! So it was good I lost it lol!) but photolayers won and is the only one I use now. I feel like I may as well delete background eraser! This ask made me realize I still have both on my phone. Photolayers is fun for collages and editing and making memes too! I really love it and there are only ads when you go to save which you can always just close out of.

I made this pepe edit last night. 🤣 and it reminded me of the one I did using photolayers last pregnancy that I had to go find in my saves

The only thing I will say as a downside, but it's also a plus if you are doing a big image edit is if you edit a lot of layers it will autosave every edit in a "photolayers history" folder so they can stack up quick if youre doing a big edit like I did above, but its easy to just delete the folder if it's got too much in it! And I think maybe you can turn that feature off but I actually use it and don't mind deleting that folder once in a while. Happy editing! ദ്ദി(｡•̀ ,<)~✩‧₊

what tools do you use to make your edits

For the graphics, you mean? I use my phone so a bunch of different apps lol. Adobe photoshop, photolayers, phonto, and retrocam mostly.

Take inspiration from real life. I saw a dog run after getting sprayed by a skunk, and turned it into a Furfrou running from a Stunky

Here's a really simple mobile photo editor that actually lets you combine images, that you can use to be like, "Look at the Pokemon I found in my garden" and stuff

There are also Pokemon IRL artists you can commission if you want, or you can do your own drawings

It's ok to use game or anime screenshots, game art, and even TCG art.

Have an idea of what job your character had or has. Real jobs exist in the Pokemon universe, too!

As most Pokemon fans know, Pokecharms has that Trainer card maker. Use that!

FANON 👏 IS 👏 ACCEPTABLE 👏 I am operating with a fan made region, fan made gym leaders, and will be introducing a fan made evil team based on prohibition era gangsters. It's gotten to a point I'm considering making a fan game just to expose more people to it.

It's ok to make up lore as you go.

Don't try to make your character perfect. Get mad, make mistakes. Accidentally be a jerk, sometimes. I got into a whole internet argument with another character...and it was so realistic . Too realistic. I felt like I was arguing for real and had to take a step back regularly.

Follow a bunch of Pokemon IRL blogs and reblog A LOT with your character's thoughts.

It's ok to unfollow them if they talk about subjects that make you uncomfortable. It's not only understandable, it's realistic to do so in character.

It's ok to ask people to ask questions about a post in the tags. I do so when I have character lore I want to drop.

It's ok to use the blog to vent. I had someone ask why I want to be a gym leader, and I made it about how I'd like a better job, but in the Pokemon universe.

Sometimes a post can just be, "This Pokemon is so silly" or "QUIT PICKING ON MAGIKARP, THEY'RE TRYING THEIR BEST!"

And finally, NO ONE GETS HUNDREDS OR THOUSANDS OF FOLLOWERS RIGHT AWAY! DON'T BE UPSET IF AFTER A FEW MONTHS YOU DON'T HAVE A LOT OF PEOPLE.

i think my #1 piece of advice to people joining the pokemon irl community would be to have some ideas of things your character would post about when you're not getting asks. despite what it might look like based on some of the bigger bloggers, this community doesn't run on asks--it's a text post-and-reblog-based community with occasional asks thrown in. i see a lot of blogs die off because they make an intro post and reblog a couple ask games and then just...never post anything else, so they're not enough of a presence in the dashboard and tags for people to interact with.

so. please don't get discouraged if you're not getting asks! most people don't get all that many, and the people that do are outliers and typically people who have been consistently active for a long time. stick with it, keep posting about your character's life, and reach out to others with reblogs or in-character asks when you feel brave enough (i know social anxiety can suck), and you'll find people to interact with.

After two separate days of creating everything for this "made for fun" post, it's finally finished.

This was inspired by a scene near the climax to Deadpool & Wolverine, but of course, I won't spoil anything since I have friends who haven't seen the movie yet.

Anyway, aside from Danny as Wolverine and Jenny as Deadpool, I chose six specific characters for the others. Each character took random hours depending on the designs and details.

Before the characters, I made the Tech Van from Glitch Techs as their transportation.

For the Void, I went with Shirley's pocket dimension that was RetroDimmsdaleVille in Jimmy Timmy Power Hour 3: The Jerkinators! like in my last one.

The shadows were made with PhotoLayers and Image Warp.

After everything was done, I used Free Online Image Editor to put it all together, additional parts tweaked on MS Paint. It was finished just last night on Sunday.

Overall, this was long overdue, but one I wanted to make out of my strong interest in Nicktoons and Marvel. I honestly thought I could finish it before The Simpsons' 36th season started (long story, don't ask), but was I occupied with chores and tasks around the house.
