One year ago Aaron and I adopted two puppies. They were underweight, covered in fleas, missing patches of fur, and growing long toenails around their paw pads. Now they are well-fed, well-groomed, shiny, healthy little furbies. Phoebe is happy with her fellow playmates and snugglers, and Aaron and I love the time spent with all three, enjoying the interaction of their very different personalities throughout the days of this life. Before we got them, Aaron said, "Life is meant to be lived, not avoided."
