Howdy! This lil guy was on my ceiling and I see these type of spider around quite a lot, but I haven't been able to identify them 100%. I'm hoping these are good enough photos but it was hard to get a pic with it so high up there. In North East Wisconsin! :^) thanks!
Cute lil dude. Looks like a running crab spider :)

this poor Philodromus lost five whole legs in a battle against an unknown enemy. the lacewing larva it's eating might be the culprit, but it'd have to be a pretty fierce one to do that much damage. pretty impressive of this lopsided buddy to be able to catch such dangerous prey regardless

Cool guy that I found at the library at my university. It's been scurrying around the table for the past little bit. I don't think I've ever seen this one before?
Located in Alberta! :)
Spider ID - ALB, Canada:
Hello, yess, this looks to me like one of the Running Crab Spiders (Philodromus sp. or Apollophanes sp.), family Philodromidae.
Any spider people have a suggestion for which species it might be?

can you identify some bugs i know the first one is spider and the second one is mantis but i was wondering specific species
spider is in kinda rural texas about an hour and a half from houston mantis is in the state of puebla in mexico
also a squirrel if you can tell me if that's like the way the species is or if he has melanism. found in mexico city. i saw at least two squirrels like this in different areas
also: the mantis was already in the room when we got to the hotel, i moved it onto the bed for a better photo and then i put it outside in some grass by some trees. hope i did the right thing. dad would have killed it if it didnt get out of the room. also there were hairy headed leaf cutter ants there. not an important fact but i think they were interesting because it was the first time i had seen leafcutter ants.
Philodromus sp., Stagmomantis limbata, melanistic Sciurus aureogaster

Zuzu's Bug-ventures: Home Edition!
I'm a bit late posting this, but I found a lot of friends last week! I couldn't ID a lot of these, unfortunately. First up, the "probably aphids trio".
Unsure of ID, possibly a pea aphid (Acyrthosiphon pisum). A lot of the other things I found didn't seem native to North America
Unsure of ID, possibly also some kind of aphid. Bad photo, I know. My phone camera is becoming more and more dogshit every day
Unsure of ID, but this also seems like a pea aphid
Unsure of ID, a fly in the Condylostylus genus.
Unsure of ID, a mayfly of some kind. Saw this on my friend's car
Unsure of exact ID, but it's definitely a skipper butterfly, either Polites peckius (Peck's Skipper) or Epargyreus clarus (Silver-spotted Skipper). Still can't get a good shot of these guys, they're lightning fast
Unsure of ID, possibly an Eastern tiger swallowtail (Papilio glaucus). This butterfly was zooming around up near the roof. I just kept snapping photos until I got one that helped me sort of identify it.
Unsure of ID, possibly pseudoedophrys hilleri, which is a kind of broad-nosed weevil. It's dead and suspended in an abandoned spiderweb.
Unsure of ID, as it disappeared quickly. A black wasp of some kind
An assassin bug nymph (Reduviidae family). Kind of cute tbh. I haven't seen an adult one yet.
A White-striped Running Crab Spider (Philodromus rufus). Finally an identification I can be confident in! Crab spiders are so funny, I love them
An Eastern leaf-footed bug nymph (Leptoglossus phyllopus).
And finally, a lady beetle with a parasitic fungus called Hesperomyces virescens. It doesn't usually kill them, and honestly it looks kinda neat. I didn't notice it until after I took the photo.
Next week (or possibly sooner), we'll have a Zuzu's Bug-ventures Jersey Shore edition!

THE SPIDER UPDATE
Finding orb-weavers just seems like Easy Mode now, so of course my stupid brain requires a challenge. We're going fully webless babes!
It's been a tense, odd week of staring at a lot of stucco walls in the hot sun with very limited success lol CLICK THROUGH FOR PHOTOS
Here are some wall friends, not officially identified but I think maybe Selenops genus? (They camouflage well, and they also tend to flatten themselves to walls or right into little dents or holes, so I still haven't managed any truly clear photos, and no sign of the the eyes, which is usually how I’d ID for sure. Hence the staring at walls all week.)
EDIT: Figured these guys out eventually! Wall spiders (Oecobiidae), probably Oecobius genus.
This one I think is a running crab spider (Philodromus genus, different from the crab spider I found in the rose).
She’s got her eggs! And when I found her the next day, she also had, uhhhhh….
Well. I think that’s one of the little Selenops guys she’s got pinned under her jaws lol oh well! Circle of life!
I do not know who this lady is. False black / brown widow perhaps?
EDIT: Eventually got this ID from iNaturalist: GROUND SAC SPIDER (Trachelidae): Genus Trachelas
And not to play favorites but saved the best for last:
(Oh and because I truly didn't grasp the size of these things until I started looking for them in person, here is the little gray one next to my index finger)
I need you to fully understand how impossible it is that I found any of these lol my passion is overcoming my nearsightedness and severe lack of depth perception
#please PLEASE look at the absolute wagon of an abdomen on that one jumper lol#what a queen#spiders#eight-legged friends

@melodraca submitted: I was was trying to ID this guy, but I'm sooo bad at identifying arachnids 😷 they're really fun to watch scuttle around though! (Calgary, Canada)
What a lovely, leggy man! It's a running crab spider, likely in the genus Philodromus :)
