I am preparing for a Big Trip in a few months, and one of my concerns is navigating airport security as a disabled transgender person. I do not have my name and gender marker legally changed, I am many years into HRT, and to the average person I am visibly transgender but not in any identifiable "direction". I am physically disabled and use mobility aids. I will be flying to America, if that makes any difference.
What should I expect from airport security as a transgender person?
Should I try to present as closely as possible to what my government paperwork says?
What should I expect from airport security if I am getting disability assistance through the airport?
The name printed on my prescriptions is not my legal name, will that be an issue with security?
I will likely be transported in a wheelchair through the airport, what will they do with my walker/other mobility aids?
Will I have to take out any piercings/change to non-metal jewellery beforehand?
I am working with my doctor and my therapist on my other concerns for the trip, but these are things we haven't been able to sort out (or that I simply forgot to ask about at my last appointment). However, any additional advice and information is greatly appreciated!! I want to be as prepared as possible and I am determined to make this trip happen :3

Dealing with my health insurance every year is becoming like this meme:
Tumblr media
The first few months of the year I'm constantly fighting my health insurance to communicate with my pharmacy insurance because the deductible is supposed to be combined but they're not being combined.. so I'm paying for appointments as if I didn't hit my $3,500 deductible already
But then after they fix it, it's smooth sailing till the new year because I'll have hit my out-of-pocket max by then and they'll be stuck giving my expensive ass free healthcare for the rest of the year 😉

I found a website where you can type the ingredients of the skin product you're using and it tells you whether they're comedogenic or not and if there's an irritant in there as well. The site is in Spanish but I assume it can be easily translatable by your browser.
But it case it's not, I translated it for you
Tumblr media
Once you click Verify, it brings you to this page:
Tumblr media
The mildly comedogenic ingredients are in yellow, moderate in orange, and high in red. The irritating ingredients are in blue.
The two "warnings" on top are the conclusions the website reached, the yellow one says this product is potentially safe, except if the case my skin has a strong tendency to get obstructed pores. The blue one says it can be irritating, especially in sensitive skins (you can't see all the ingredients here, but the last one was parfum, which is an irritant).
The website also said products that have comedogenic ingredients are usually safe as long as those ingredients aren't within the 5 first positions on the list.
Disclaimer: I'm not a dermatologist nor do I know anything more than the average person about skincare, I'm just an acne sufferer who thought this could be of use to people like me. And I hope it is!!
Here's the link to the website

Found someone very special sleeping on my bed today 🥺
Tumblr media
He's a neck pillow, and I am sure he's meant to be modelled after Haku from "Spirited Away", but my mind screamed "DRAGONJI!!!" when I first saw him. My partner was like "Put your Lan ribbon on him when you get him," so I did.
(Also thank goodness for a good neck pillow; my old one was giving me headaches.)

The fucking receptionist @ my dogs' vet got a whole ass attitude with me for calling in their monthly prescription and made it a whole point to tell me "you know you can just use the online pharmacy and have it shipped to your house right?" (News to me, asshole). No, I didn't know that, but it's also not what I called you for. I don't need their meds shipped to my house, I need to pick it up today so they can take it on the 1st. "Well now you know for next time" ???? What the fuckkkkkkk is your problem! You do like 3 goddamn things all day, god fucking forbid I ask you to do 2 of them.

Dudes healthcare is so fake. My ADHD meds are $940 without insurance. But they gave me a website of "coupons" which straight up looks like a scam website, and I got it today for $60! Just a coupon from a random website and it was $900 cheaper. America, I am confusion!! America explain!!
