when I was at the hair dresser today we (me, hair dresser and my mom) got into the topic of what is the thing you notice about ppl. yeah we were talking about princess diana, and my hair dresser said “oh she had such nice hair” very out of the blue bc we talked about media not leaving someone alone. anyway, so my mom (healthcare worker) said if she sees someone limping she thinks “oh that looks like the hip” or on tv shows when someone has really nice veins, it’d be easy to draw blood. then they asked me and I was like, I don’t notice ppl. I’ve had family members and friends be like two meters away waving their hands and I still don’t see them. ppl just doesn’t exist in my world.
(after a few hours though I can say that one thing I do notice about ppl is when those with dogs uses those stupid flexi leashes, esp when they have a big dog. that might be one of the first things I notice, but that might be bc in general those ppl pay less attention to their dog and where they are so you yourself have to keep track of it more)
anyway, what do you notice first about ppl? and is it connected to your job/education in any way?
#I did say to them that I pick up pretty easily on when ppl talk meds around me if there’s anything I recognize#and that’s connected to my education as a pharmacist#but it’s not exactly a ppl thing I notice more a overhearing thing

I just got a part-time curriculum and instructional coach position
#kite rambles#so now I get to put my foot back into the educational door#AND cut the time I'm dealing with customers and that pharmacist#full-time would obviously be the ideal but foot in door foot in door#yeah I'm gonna have to figure out how to divide the time up BUT#I was told it's a job on the teacher union salary schedule#so with my previous years and master's degree I'd be getting .5fte of 61k#so 30k! for 20 hours! that means that over the course of a year I'll be making 10k more than full time at the pharmacy#so I'll actually be able to save money! and not worry about rent! and maybe even get a new car when Gwen finally kicks the bucket!#so exciting!#how do I tell the pharmacy that I have a new part-time job :thonk:

Use drugs.com to check for medication interactions - it's free, peer reviewed and sourced from professional pharmacy resources. Ascorbic acid (vitamin C) has a moderate interaction so you should probably avoid taking vitamins or beverages with high vitamin C content. Also, when it comes to interactions? ASK THE PHARMACIST, not just the doc. Honestly they're more likely to know (but do still mention to the doc because they will probably just ask the pharmacist later themselves and that way the issue will be in your record for some sharp-eyed person later.)
i know vitamin c basically neutralizes adhd meds but lemonade good
#medication#food#consult the pharmacist that's why they have to have them and not just the techs#put their expensive education to good use

Introduction to D.Pharmacy Courses for a Gateway to a Promising Career in Healthcare
The field of pharmacy offers a wide range of career opportunities, and pursuing a D.Pharmacy course is an excellent starting point for anyone interested in the pharmaceutical industry. The Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharmacy) program is designed to provide students with the foundational knowledge and skills required to excel in various pharmacy roles. In this blog, we will delve into the essentials of D.Pharmacy courses, including the D.Pharmacy syllabus, subjects, top colleges, fees and the admission process for 2025.
Understanding PCI and Its Role
Before we explore the specifics, it’s important to understand the governing body behind pharmacy education in India. The PCI full form stands for Pharmacy Council of India, which is responsible for setting the standards for pharmacy education and practice. Ensuring that your chosen D.Pharmacy course is PCI-approved is crucial for obtaining a recognized qualification.
D.Pharmacy Syllabus and Subjects
The D.Pharmacy syllabus is structured to cover both theoretical and practical aspects of pharmaceutical sciences. Key D.Pharmacy subjects include Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology, Pharmacognosy, and Pharmaceutics. These subjects equip students with the essential knowledge to understand drug formulations, their effects on the human body, and the preparation of various medicinal products. Additionally, the D.Pharmacy courses often include laboratory sessions and internships to provide hands-on experience in real-world scenarios.
Top D.Pharmacy Colleges in West Bengal
Selecting the right college is vital for a successful career in pharmacy. Some of the top D.Pharmacy colleges in West Bengal are recognized for their excellent academic programs, experienced faculty, and modern facilities. Institutions like Jadavpur University, NSHM Knowledge Campus, and Bengal School of Technology are highly regarded in the field. These D.Pharmacy colleges not only offer a robust curriculum but also provide ample opportunities for practical learning and professional growth.
D.Pharmacy Fees and Admission Process
The D.Pharmacy fees can vary depending on whether you choose a government or private institution. Government colleges generally have lower tuition fees, making them more accessible to a broader range of students. When considering D.Pharmacy colleges admission 2025, it’s important to be aware of the entrance exams required. Many colleges require students to pass a D.Pharmacy entrance exam such as WBJEE Pharmacy or other state-level exams as part of their admission criteria.
Conclusion
Pursuing a D.Pharmacy course is a solid step towards building a career in the pharmaceutical industry. With a well-rounded D.Pharmacy syllabus, a focus on practical and theoretical learning, and the guidance of experienced faculty at one of the top D.Pharmacy colleges in West Bengal, you’ll be well-prepared to enter the healthcare field. Remember, understanding the PCI full form and ensuring that your course is recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India is essential for a successful and credible career in pharmacy. Whether you aim to work in community pharmacies, hospitals, or the pharmaceutical industry, a D.Pharmacy course provides the foundation you need to thrive.

A transfer application from the registrar.
