anyways, i discovered that i am mildly corrosive at work. i had no clue that rapidly melting the matte coating off of electronics like keyboard, mice, and laptops wasn't something that happened to everyone, to the horror of my coworkers.

Hi, this may be the “finals drawing near and studying melting my brain” talking but im losing my mind over the twin rings and it has begun to actually hurt my brain. And félix didnt get blorbo status in my brain until recently so i never really thought too deeply about his actions???

I know there’s people out there who have put huge amounts of thought into the amok lore, because i saw u in the wilds of tumblr a while ago and then proceeded to ignore it because i was too busy with my Other Blorbos, and now idk where to find posts, so, if you’re out there, here are some questions, i am imploring you for your wisdom

—why did gabe use the ring to threaten félix in the episode félix. “You know what i could do with a snap of my fingers,” or whatever. Was he talking about the peacock? The peacock wasn’t even fixed yet. It was still broken. Could he use the peacock to kill félix? I thought you needed the amok to do that???

—WHY did félix give adrien’s ring BACK to gabriel in risk. What the fuck benefit did that give him. He had blackmail and ALL of those miraculous????? He was already winning why was he like “and THIS, i wont be needing it anymore 😏” what the HECK félix.

—“anymore.” Why did he need it to BEGIN with then. Like. Is he protecting adrien with the peacock??? Is that even a thing????? He spent a while in hiding doing nothing why did he not swoop in to protect adrien sooner??? Did he even DO anything to protect adrien when he had the other amok????? Was he just constantly whispering like “adrien u can make your own choices youre free” into the ring and we didnt see it?????

—WHY IS HE SO BAD AT BARGAINING????? This isnt a lore question this is just. Still not over it. Félix what the fuck. Do you know how bargaining works. You dont play all of your cards at once. I get that he’s impulsive but SERIOUSLY my GUY. You are so STUPID why did you OFFER the ring to gabriel you dumb bitch

—amelie being like “you can keep it félix, i just wanted the ring back on our side of the family 🥰” at the end of félix makes me genuinely insane now. WHY. Amelie what did you want it on your side of the family for. Amelie couldve been like “oh we gotta give that to adrien” but instead she was like “yeah my sweet little murder boy will take good care of his cousin who he bullies”

im thinking about possession aftereffects that linebeck experiences immediately after the events of phantom hourglass, so here are bullet points i have down for my own ideas

he’s out cold for roughly five days after the fight. he’s conscious for a bit after being freed, but it doesn’t take long for him to collapse once he’s transported back to the great sea. link finds him when he reaches his ship to see him again (he takes a lifeboat or w/e from tetras ship its a whole thing and not the point) and ends up having to take care of him for those five-ish days.

while he’s out cold, he develops a bad fever, and has a good few physical injures from being possessed; all of his wounds from being possessed manifest as burns, the worst wounds bring cauterized and mostly closed, while smaller ones are still open wounds. the largest wound is a large burn covering most of his back, which is cauterized by the time he passes out, and then there are smaller, still open burns on his upper arms and legs. (the smaller wounds are manageable by link when he follows some medical instructions, [there are some medical books on the ship] the larger one is also manageable, but takes a lot longer to properly heal).

(link asks tetra and her crew to stick around for a while to keep linebeck stabilized while he’s unconscious. when linebeck wakes up, tetra and her crew are good to leave because then linebeck can better report what’s going on, and knows how to handle injuries).

linebeck’s fever persists after he wakes up, and he experiences… pretty much every fever symptom, with especially bad chills and full-body aches. the aches are really bad for the first few days after he wakes up, he’s extremely physically weak and shaky for a while, too. that weakness and shakiness get better with time, but he doesnt go entirely back to normal without actually moving around and doing things to build that strength back up.

he’s delirious and struggles to stay awake for those first few conscious days, too, which makes that weakness and shakiness worse; he struggles to eat and drink water, and struggles to string together thoughts or words to talk to link, and both of them figure out pretty quickly that they’ll have to wait a bit longer before so much as an attempt to coax him out of bed can be made.

beyond existing problems with food, linebeck struggles to keep anything down while he recovers, and becomes ill pretty much every time after he eats anything, so a bucket is kept near his bed. with water, he obviously needs to drink a lot of it considering that he’s feverish, injured, and vomiting frequently, but while he’s sick he has a bit of an irrational fear of water (along with an irrational fear of air and the wind, which makes him hesitant to go outside while he’s sick).

he’s generally pretty irritable, which isn’t particularly new, but it makes him prone to refusing help with certain things. he’s less irritable when tired and just resting. he’s also especially nervous, and despite the overall fatigue, he struggles to sleep for very long while he’s sick, and as said before, is often delirious and even confused when things are bad.

along with the other difficulties eating, linebeck has a hard time swallowing for a bit, and salivates a lot more than normal while he’s sick. he is soooo fucking dehydrated the whole time and that really doesn’t help.

while the weakness and shakiness stays for the entire time he’s sick and even a bit afterwards, for the first few days after he wakes up he’s stiff and also experiences some muscle spasms and numbness in his limbs, and has a hard time keeping his balance the first few times he gets out of bed.

once the sickness clears up fully, linebeck has to still be careful with the scar on his back; it’s sensitive to touch for a while and hurts when exposed to the sun or air for too long and when he stretches his back too far, but eventually just reaches the point where it’s a bit sensitive but is otherwise just a large scar.

obviously he’s also going through the wringer in an emotional and mental illness sense too but those would require a whole new bullet point list.

Whenever I think about my scorpion MC I can't help but laugh a little because I know he'd be frantically looking for a cork or something to jam on the tip of his stinger so he can't hurt himself or anyone else before he gets this whole tail situation figured out. I don't know if it's been asked before, but can a scorpion MC produce venom, or is the stinger empty?

hi, thank you for your ask! i don't think it's ever been confirmed anywhere, though the game does bring up a question about it, but scorpion!mc does indeed have venom in their tail 😌 same with snake!mc's fangs. however in both cases their venom (along with other venoms and poisons) doesn't have a hugely significant effect on other demons... demon constitutions are simply Built Different lmfao

Ok SO I've got some fishes I would like to share from the aquarium we went to a couple weeks ago. First here is my very very favorite fish. I have no idea what it was, but if I was naming it, it would be "patchwork quilt fish" because it looks like somebody just jammed 3 fish together. (Also here's a clownfish.)

And then there's THIS nightmare horror from the deep which apepared to have one red mouth and like 6 white eyes. I couldn't get a very good picture of this monster but trust me, it looks like it's about to start sucking out your blood while hypnotizing you with its 6 white eyes.

I have a request for a MacGyverism (maybe gone wrong? in a whumpy way? or maybe just a fact?) related to your chemistry homework. (Ok I literally have no idea what type of chemistry you're studying maybe this is impossilble in which case just.... whatever Mac thing strikes you.)

“Uh-” Mac shakes his head, having momentarily forgotten that he had his earpiece in. “How much time can you buy me?”

“I got three bullets and six assholes. Probably not as much as you need.”

“Can you at least keep them occupied?”

“I’ll do my best,” Jack mutters back. “What’s goin’ on?”

Mac swallows, glad that Jack can’t see what he’s seeing. “The casing is starting to erode.”

“What the hell does that mean?”

“It means that whatever container Moore was keeping the virus in, he chose the wrong one.”

“Can you fix it?”

“Temporarily, sure.”

“Good enough for me.”

Mac gives a nod to himself. He needs chemicals, and very specific ones. If the container starts leaking, which it inevitably will, he needs it to leak into an acid. The only problem is that he won’t be able to keep the solution acidic for long enough. At best, it’ll take a hazmat team hours to arrive. 

Mac exhales, eyes running up and down the shelves of cleaning supplies. Too many of them are bases, but finally, his eyes settle on the vinegar.

Unfortunately, that’s only half the battle. Before he can use it for any type of temporary containment, he needs to create its conjugate base to keep the solution at the same pH.

“Water,” Mac mumbles.

“What’s that?”

“New plan. Let the rest of the guards do whatever they want. I need you to find me some water bottles.” Mac looks back down at the canister, now blistering and looking more than ready to burst. “And Jack?”

“Yep?”

“Do it fast.”
