1st of all, i am Sorry, but i got stuck.

here's a partial review! it is the raw notes i typed while playing it for the first time. i hope it is somewhat entertaining to read and please help me! <3

petz horsez 2!

some guy named luc shows up and our girly says "it's so great to be so close to you and grandpa!" so i gasped excitedly and thought luc and grandpa were gay married, but luc instantly mentions his sick wife lucia. tragic.

ok first thoughts - music is pretty good and the sound design is nice. there's a girl with the sassiest of poses who appears on the top screen when she's talking, and everything else is worded in first person as if we are this girl, or she is unknowingly being possessed and steered through life by our ds stylus.

i have already gotten stuck. we meet our first foal, pet it, and then the game says to feed it a carrot. it says to buy carrots from the store if we don't have any. i don't seem to have any. i found the store but we can't go in, every building is locked.

ok so it's been a day or two and ive gone back to the main stable and brushed my Boy Pepsi. and i got lost in the sauce brushing him because the dirt disappears so satisfyingly like power washing. but then it said that the brushing was finished, but I'd used the brushes wrong. hello?? 

i just keep getting a bad grade in brushing

ok i met the guy and unlocked some training but this jumping course keeps just… giving up on me .. not letting me jump anything and then giving me time over

i tried to feed my foal and it flopped over Ill and after lots and lots of tapping i bought the medicine for him and it's still greyed out.

this game is Hard

...and that's as far as I got! i'm gong to mark this game as Incomplete. it's been almost a full year since i gave it my best effort, so maybe this will remind me to try again in the summer. thanks again for suggesting this game! :) sorry and help

if i had a nickel for every time i wound up with a game that never actually told you how to make use of an important in-game mechanic and basically made you try to figure it out without any assistance whatsoever, i'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice, right?

i think if a game does not include the option to save in its main pause menu but rather in a separate menu that is not mentioned in-game whatsoever besides the fact that attempting to quit will cause you to lose all unsaved data, thereby making players try and find it through trial and error if they want to save the game at all, it has a design flaw

One of the Petz to appear in the JumpStart MMO was Sea Biscuit, the land-dwelling seahorse (top). As once described by the official JumpStart Blog, Sea Biscuit "is an expert on the racetrack. Bring him with you to SpeedDrome for good luck in games like DuneBuggy Racer!" It's possible that Sea Biscuit's name was inspired by a real-life horse named Seabiscuit (bottom), who was a racing champion in the 1940s.
